p.s. this is the first time I write about kpop on this blog, I hope you like it! You never thought you would be in a serious relationship with a K-pop artist. Of course, you've been a fan of Korean culture since you were 13 and a friend introduced you to the concept of K-pop, dramas and all the rest.

You were lucky enough to have well-off parents who let you study Korean from the age of 13 because you had become completely obsessed with everything about Korea.

But obviously your life didn't revolve around just that, of course you went to shows whenever you could, once you even got a trip to South Korea as a gift to go to a fan meeting.

But one thing that the idol life showed you was that you also wanted to be an artist, you were in doubt between acting and music. After all, you were good at both. In school plays you always got the lead.

Your mother played the piano and from a very early age taught you everything she knew about music, so one of your hobbies, and also a form of therapy, was writing songs.

When you were 18, a family friend who worked for Netflix knew he had a casting call that was a perfect fit for you. You took the test, with zero faith that you would pass.

But it ended up happening, the series was about a fantasy world, four wizard friends fighting an evil entity, you had a lot of fun recording the first season, you made incredible friends, but you never thought the series would be successful.

Until it exploded. And it became the number 1 series on Netflix, with everyone talking about it. And obviously you and your co-stars started doing press tours.

- Hey guys! Welcome back to the Tonight Show! Today we have a very special guest, a talented young man who is having great success with the new Netflix series: Witchbound Chronicles. Let's welcome the amazing Y/N! How are you, Y/N?

- Hi Jimmy! I'm great, thanks for having me here.

- It's a pleasure to have you. Firstly, congratulations on the success of your series! What has the experience been like seeing your face everywhere?

- It's surreal, Jimmy. I never imagined things would happen so quickly. I'm just enjoying every moment.

- Well, the series is called "Witchbound Chronicles" and it takes place in a completely new world full of magic, fantastic creatures and lots of exciting twists. I play one of the main characters, a young man named Ethan, who discovers he has incredible magical abilities.

- This looks amazing! And what was the audition process like to get the role?

- It was a little crazy, actually. I auditioned without much expectation, and when I got the call that I had gotten the role, I couldn't believe it. It was a dream come true.

- And what was it like working with the cast and crew?

- Everyone was incredible. The cast is very talented, and the team behind the cameras did an incredible job bringing this magical world to life. I learned a lot from all of them.

- I'm sure fans would love to know if there are any funny or interesting behind-the-scenes stories you can share.

- Oh, definitely! One day, we were filming a scene with intense special effects, and one of the animatronics that plays the magical creatures ended up going out of control. It was hilarious to see everyone running for cover, but in the end, everything worked out, and the scene was incredible.

- And what can we expect from the future, Y/N? More projects on the small screen or maybe even the big screen?

- Absolutely, Jimmy! I love acting, and I hope to continue exploring different roles and challenges. Who knows what the future holds, right?

- Hey Y/N, our research team made some interesting discoveries on your social media. It seems like you're a big K-pop fan, is that right?

- Oh yes, Jimmy! I'm completely obsessed with K-pop, it's one of my passions.

- This is amazing! Any specific groups or artists that you really admire?

- For sure! I'm a big fan of Stray Kids.

- Oh, and our team also noticed that you have a certain “bias” as they say in K-pop at Felix! You've been expressing your crush on Felix a lot on social media. Any funny stories or embarrassing moments related to this?

- Wow, that's a tough question. I guess I would say how much they mean to me as an artist and as a person. Their work really inspires me, and I really admire their talent.

Months later, with the end of recording the first season of the series, and the end of the press conferences, you feel that it is time to return to music. You had loved that whole period of recording and promoting the series but you felt the urge to write about it all, to put it all in the form of music, and deep in your heart, you wanted to write about something, something that you thought was really silly. actually, but your mother always told you that music was made to express all your feelings.

But his response was very different from what you imagined.

Bravern Radio Episode 1 TL (1/2)

Hi! Recently the web radio of BBBB came out on Youtube so I decided to do a translation for anyone interested!

As a key: Isami Ao VA -> Suzuki Ryota Lewis Smith VA -> Azakami Yohei Bravern VA -> Suzumura Kenichi For the purpose of this TL, I will be using character names (Isami, Smith, Bravern), and I'll put in bracket any time a name is mentioned or any additional info! So let's go!

Isami: We've started with a 'Bang'! Hey everyone, are you exploding with courage?! I'm the voice actor of Isami Ao from Yuuki Bakuhatsu Bang Bravern, Suzuki Ryota! Nice to meet you all~ ("Yuuki Bakuhatsu" means "Courage Explosion", they will use "courage" a lot, they're referencing the title) Smith: I'm the voice actor of Lewis Smith from Yuuki Bakuhatsu Bang Bravern, Azakami Yohei! Isami: Yup! This program, starting January 2024 will be broadcasted about Yuuki Bakuhatsu Bang Bravern, featuring me, Suzuki Ryota, the voice of Ao and Azakami Yohei, the voice of Lewis as radio personalities. Sometimes we will bring in guests, sometimes just us, and with courage we have our Web Radio! I'm going like a factory here lol

That too…felt kind of untouchable Isami: It did feel like a hard topic to touch Smith: They really wanted to deceive everyone and play it like 'No, it's a serious military thing, it's very dark, we're maintaining a suspense tone', they were writing it to us constantly

Bravern: Why did Tachiki-san retweet??? Smith: Seriously, why! Isami: That was a no! Smith: We can only wonder why… Isami: What kind of character do you think Bravern is? Bravern: Mm..well, there was an audition, and I auditioned for Smith and Bravern Isami: Ehh?? Smith: Euuuhh??? Bravern: Yep. And if I had to say, it was mainly Smith Isami: Really?? Bravern: I went to the agency, at the time of the audition, and then Suwa-san asked what will you take, and my company managers had selected some for me. Suwa-san said to take the audition for Smith, so I went there to take the audition…and I thought "Wait, there isn't any other voice actor who knows robots as much as I do." Smith: Heeehhh Bravern: So then I went to the first recording and it really wasn't too far off from my imagination. But there too I had to consider the meaning between the things I had to do. I made it while talking about a lot of things with Obari-san (director), kinda. Smith: Ohhhhh Isami: Amazing- you're so overly reliable, it's like there's a warden within the cast lol Bravern: Warden?? Smith: I don't know if it's that extreme haha Isami: But at the recordings, it relaxes us too to have that reliability Smith: That's true, it fits perfectly…but it was a surprise, right? A talking robot Bravern: Yes! It feels like the first time that's been done Isami: Oh really? Smith: I thought "oh, it is?" Bravern: About talking robots, from our age of the hero shows, Hayami Sho-san's voice comes to mind Smith: Aah, a little bitter, yeah. Bravern: Right? So when a line with bitterness is required, I think I should approach it with a different feel. And sometimes a robot with a youthful voice is needed too. ROTTMNT Theory: Leonardo's Face

(I know this topic had been talked about in other posts before. I had a mighty need to add my 2 cents, along with some pictures.)

We know Leo's gonna grow to be an amazing leader. He's already learning how to work in groups and communicate with his team, and he's even beginning to reel back his prideful behavior.

However, to live by the important life lesson of "we do we", I get the feeling he's not gonna do it the same way as past TMNT iterations. Future Leo in the ROTTMNT movie is proof enough that his humorous quips are here to stay, even after decades of apocalyptic horrors.

Because Leo's right, he IS the face man. He just hasn't realized yet how crucial the face of a team is, or how great of a weapon it can be.

Firstly, the face is an important tool for navigating the world around you. It's where three (four counting the ears) of the body's senses are placed. Sure, you can technically live and roam through touch alone, but then you risk missing a lot of information about your surroundings that could impact your life.

Metaphorically speaking, Leo provides this for his team the most often. He uses his highly attuned senses to scan their environment for immediate details. This allows him to adjust their plans to even the slightest changes, or to make quicker deductions based on whatever clues he finds.

Another thing about faces is how prominently they're used for communication. They are one of the most critical tools for social interactions of all kinds, including deception. Mastery of facial gestures is what lets so many actors/actresses thrive when putting on believable performances.

Continuing the metaphor, Leo has proven himself to be a master of persuasion so many times throughout the Rise series. His easygoing charm can make him both motivating for loved ones and easy to underestimate for opponents.

Once Leo's self confidence improves some more, his social intelligence gives him the potential to become terrifyingly powerful. The ability to outwit geniuses by thinking outside the box. Negotiation skills that could put the average politician to shame. Eyes as sharp as his katanas, ones that could read people like comic books. An equally sharp tongue able to flip entire situations in his team's favor through words alone.

Next to hope, Leo's face truly is his most dangerous weapon. He just needs to learn how to not let it control him. I'd love to see Leo further develop this more charismatic style of leadership that tends to set him apart from his past series' counterparts.

The hotel room was permeated with tension that became palpable as the manager entered, announcing firmly, "We're leaving in an hour." Everyone was there to support the female member who was getting ready for a solo commitment.

"You're not ready, Seokmin... Oh, I forgot, today you're not her partner," Jeonghan needled, his tone dripping with venom echoing through the room.

DK couldn't help himself, rolled his eyes, and let out a theatrical sigh. "Very funny," he retorted, his sarcasm cutting.

"You guys are so teasing," commented Daisy, laughing to lighten the mood.

"And you still laugh," DK shot back, shifting his attention from his phone to her.

"Look what you've done," Daisy pointed at DK with a stern expression.

The makeup artist finished her work on Daisy. The singer stood up, twirling to check the overall look in the mirror. Her shiny dress reflected the ambient light, and her face displayed a mix of confidence and determination.

"You can argue later. Now, it's time to shine," the manager intervened, trying to dissipate the tension.

Daisy cast a meaningful look at the group gathered in the room. "You all are amazing. Thank you for the support, even with all this negative energy in the air."

"You look beautiful, Daisy. Your new partner will love accompanying you," Mingyu said, chuckling as he glanced at DK.

Daisy lightly punched Mingyu's arm and walked over to DK, hugging him and speaking in a playful voice, "Will you be watching the award show?" lifting her sparkling gaze to the taller guy.

"And do I have a choice?" he replied without hugging her back.

"Yes, you don't have to watch... But I'd love for you to send me positive vibes," she said even more playfully.

"You're going to win," he said, succumbing to her charm.

"How can you be so sure?"

"You're amazing, this award is already yours," he asserted, eliciting a smile from the girl.

She let go to leave, and then he held her back in a hug. "Good luck, and have minimal interactions with him, please," he requested, with a clear tone of concern.

While Daisy dazzled on the red carpet, the members at the hotel gathered to prepare snacks and drinks, eager to watch the award show.

With each new photo of Daisy posing alongside the actor she worked with, they made a point to show DK. He understood perfectly that she was there for work, and there was nothing more between them. However, something larger than him persisted, an uneasiness hard to ignore.

The event finally began, indicating that DK would be getting closer to the end of his torment.

"Wow, they look so cute together," Seungkwan commented when the nominees for the best couple award were announced.

"You know what else is cute?" DK asked, eliciting laughter from the other members.

The other and most important category in which Daisy competed was announced. The names and faces of the nominees appeared on the screen, and everyone nervously bit their nails, watching with anticipation. Daisy seemed nervous, but she couldn't stop smiling.

"And the New Best Actress award goes to... Choi Daisy!"

"I TOLD YOU!" DK shouted excitedly, the other guys celebrating, recording the screen to capture her speech.

"Quiet," he requested, approaching the TV to listen to her. The atmosphere became tense, and everyone focused on the emotional words Daisy shared with the audience. DK was radiant with pride, a huge smile on his face as he watched the success of the woman he admired.

"Wow, this is incredible. Firstly, I want to thank the drama director, Lee Sun-woo, for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to portray this challenging role. It has been an amazing and enriching journey that has allowed me to grow as an actress and as a person."

Daisy took a deep breath before continuing, her grateful gaze sweeping across the audience. "To the incredible team behind the scenes, you are the true heroes of this production. From the technicians to the producers, each one of you contributed to creating something special. Thank you for all the hard work and dedication."

She directed her gaze to her scene partner, a fond smile on her lips. "To Joon-ho, thank you for being more than just a coworker. Your guidance and support have been invaluable, and I have truly learned a lot by your side."

Daisy's eyes sparkled as she mentioned Seventeen. "To my dear members of Seventeen, you have been my constant source of encouragement and strength. Your words of encouragement propelled me through the most challenging moments. I am immensely grateful to have such an amazing group by my side."

Finally, she addressed the fans, whose unwavering support always moved her. "And, of course, to my dear fans, you are my constant inspiration. Thank you for being by my side, for your loving messages, and for all the unwavering support. Without you, this award wouldn't be possible. I promise to continue working hard to repay all the love I receive."

Daisy lifted the trophy once again, her eyes shining with gratitude. "This award is ours. Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey. Let's keep growing together!"

At the end of the event, Daisy gracefully navigated through the crowd, bathed in camera flashes and applause, carrying not only the glittering award but also a sense of achievement and fulfillment. With a sigh of relief and happiness, she finally had a moment to grab her phone and check messages.

Daisy swiped the screen, her eyes landing on a special message from DK. "I told you the award belongs to you. Congratulations, I'm so proud."

A comforting warmth spread through her chest as she read those words. She knew she could count on his support, but the genuine pride in his messages brought an even broader smile to Daisy's face.

It took about an hour for her to free herself from post-event commitments and finally access her phone. With nimble fingers, she replied to DK, sharing her joy. "Thank you for the support. I'll be heading over soon to celebrate. Can't wait to share this moment with you all."

Every typed word was laden with gratitude and affection, reflecting the emotion of the moment and the deep connection between them. The journey to the award may have been solitary, but she knew her members would be eagerly waiting to welcome her back.

Mega Con London BTS Recap

Since this is a more personal recap of MegaCon London (and a bit of a comparison with Back to the Musical World con by Dream It), I didn't include it in the JATP info dump from yesterday.

BTTMW backstory

Let's do some backstory first. As you may know, the official JATP cancellation was announced at the first Back to the Musical World con back in 2021. I wasn't there for multiple reasons including Covid but also I just got into the fandom and it felt weird. I'm socially awkward - I cannot look into people's eyes, I stutter - especially when talking English - or ramble and I struggle to just touch strangers which is not helpful for photo ops.

So what I was supposed to do there? These people are actors - strangers I have nothing to do with. They aren't the characters I've fallen in love with. Yeah, not my thing, I thought.

However, when the BTTMW2 got announced, I was like 'You know, let's go to just show the cast how much you loved the show'. It was supposed to give me some closure. So I went.

And while the con was a fucked-up disaster in terms of organization and schedule - on Sunday, Charlie signed autographs until 10 pm, and Owen would have done the same if his mom hadn't cut off his line. (On that note: Never mess with a German mom protecting her kid. You'll lose.) But meeting the cast was an entirely different experience. I'd never interacted with them before, so I was anxious as fuck. However, they were so nice and considerate - and seeing them goof around was just adorable.

And not just the cast. I met so many amazing people there who are now my friends. Big shoutout to them!

So, despite my hatred for Dream It, I went to BTTMW4 (and thankfully it was less chaotic than BTTMW2). But I was also determined to go to MegaCon bc I knew Jeremy wouldn't come back to Paris. (Unlike the other JATP cast members, he's done plenty of other cons before and knows that you shouldn't be so drained that require alcohol to make it through the day.)

BTTMW vs MegaCon London

So, just in general: MegaCon was clearly the better experience.

Firstly, it was cheaper than DI. Much cheaper.

(Note 1: The * prices are from 2022 since Jeremy wasn't at BTTMW4. In 2023, the photo with Madi, Owen & Charlie was already €180. All four would have been over €200 for sure.

Note 2: The prices for MegaCon were originally in £. The price in € is what I paid according to my credit card.

Note 3: Even though not 100% accurate: € = $)

Obviously, Charlie canceled later. But I automatically got a refund. So bonus for MegaCon.

Unlike with Dream It, you were allowed to film and take pictures everywhere, which was cool. And since the panels were exclusively in English, you actually got way more content. The panels were also much longer, and it seemed like the cast was more at ease. For example, Owen started to play body drums on stage, and he initiated the boomshakalaka without being drunk. This is such an incredibly sad thing to say, but I've never seen him that relaxed during a panel.

Also, shoutout to the many fans that were at the Saturday panel. According to the hist, it was the largest crowd they had on Saturday. (If MegaCon had been smarter and had announced the Sunday panel before the people got their passes, it would have had a huge audience, too.)

The autographs ran smoothly, and there was always a queue, which was good bc Own confirmed that it was Jeremy who convinced MegaCon to invite him and Charlie. (Madi got invited later - I assume after people haunted them on IG about her.) MegaCon was wary about it bc they had no idea if the cast was worth the money. I hope the audience on Saturday, the lines for the autographs, and the massive delays at the photo studio caused by the JATP fans (and technical issues) convinced them.

Side note: After Charlie canceled, I got an email from MegaCon. And obviously, I know they just used some phrases to placate us. But I still hope they meant it when they wrote,

MegaCon, you won't read this. But if you get them again, I'll be there!

(And again shoutout to the amazing people I met in London. To my fellow German tumblr friends: I loved meeting you guys and hanging out with you!)

So the only thing that wasn't great were the photo ops. Yeah, most of the Saturday photos are terrible bc of the fucked-up lighting, and due to technical issues, there were so many delays. (Though to be fair, BTTMW also had issues with photo ops.)

So overall, I genuinely enjoyed MegaCon, and I'm very excited to head off to Dublin on Saturday to give Jeremy the birthday card. To all the people who signed it: THANK YOU!

Some other random things that don't fit anywhere

Not Owen assuming that Deutsche Bahn must always be on time bc Germans are always on time. Bro, I know it's been a while since you visited Germany ... but please, that was mean.

When I gave him ghostie!Willie, Owen told me how much his family loves the little ghosties 🥹🥹🥹 (which explains why his dad was in my IG stories after he posted the pic of the ghosties.)

It's random, but this con was so much more balanced in terms of fans. I remember fans being kinda uninterested in Jeremy at the BTTMW - some fans even got angry at him bc he refused certain poses. At MegaCon, the interest was equally split between those three, and it made me happy.

Here's the lovely ghost merch I bought at MegaCon. Obviously, the pride ghost and the skateboard ghost are Willex, the couple is Juke, and the ghosts with the kitty and the one with the pumpkin are both Reggie! (I talked to the guys running the stalls, and they were so baffled about all the JATP fans - a few Fantoms came over from the US and Canada just for this con.)

Dead Friend Forever - Post Ep 8 Theory Recap

This has taken a few days because I wanted to get all my thoughts in order. This show continues to be amazing and it continues to make wheels spin in my head. I am very happy that more people are starting to watch this amazing show.

Firstly I wanted to shout out some amazing post I have seen since episode 8 came out:

First this post for all the people readings this that have not caught up with DFF and are worried about Triggers/Squicks and the horror stuff there is this post by @wen-kexing-apologist

These two posts by @mikuni14 here (which raises an important point I will eleborate on later) and here (about Non's fate, an opinion I share, aka Non is dead - Although I wouldn't personally put it past Dr Sammon to find a way to have kept him alive that makes sense, like @respectthepetty point out here both Dr Sammon and the Pit Babe writers are not strangers to a character being "dead" then revealed to be alive. Of course both writers have killed a character before, but under very different circumstances, so it's not like there is no hope at all)

And finally last but not least this theory about Tan being New that I find very interesting here by @tbhimnoteasyonmyself

Ok now onto my thoughts.

I wanted to take a moment to appriciate how nuanced the depiction of Non's breakdown was this episode. So many horror stories relay on mental illness and disability to make their killers scary or crazy or deformed, that I have been worried about how this story will use those aspect of Non going further. While those worries have not gone away completely. They have significantly calmed down.

The writing makes it really obvious that it wants us to root for Non, and wants us to be at his side, and it's also makes it very clear that Non's breakdown this episode was due to all the factors componding, the bullying, the thing with the mafia and the cops, the money, family pressure, the thing with the teacher, the thing with Phee, it all just came to a head together. The breakdown doesn't rely soley on his mental illness.

The next part I found very interesting this episode was the argument between the parents and the absense of Non's brother still.

I think the fact that we have not seen Non try to reach out to his brother for comfort at all makes me think that their parents (especially their Mom) different treatment of the two of them drove a wedge between them. Which is probably going to make New even more angry and guilty. @tbhimnoteasyonmyself pointed this out in his post and I agree I do not think New has been told about anything before Non went missing, and given the fact that he is abroad, he might have not have had the oppurtinity to come back before. Althought if he is in the USA then there should be a way for him to say to the University, my brother went missing I have to go back and be allowed to do that witouth a major impact on his school. So I am assuming he went back after Non was called missing. Either his parents caved and told him, or someone send him either the news or the video of his brother online and then he got his parents to tell him the truth.

I am very curious about his mental state and why he is being kept so secret. The fact that there are no pictures and Non doesn't talk about him can be explained by the extrangment in universe, but I am more curious about the narrative/out of universe benefits/reasons for introducing New so late in the game. If he is Tan then we lost valuable time with a memeber of the cast, and if he is not then that actor is going to have to work double time to sell us on his character in such a short ammount of time.

Which brings us to the big mysteries, the things I am most curious about besides New, which are 1) Why did it take them so long to get revenge? 2) How many killers are there, and what is their plan exactly?

Like @mikuni14 pointed out in the post I linked above, it seems really weird that it would take them 3 years to get to their revenge plan. It doesn't really feel like it would be all that complicated to get that bunch of boys drunk or high and get some information out of them. So why wait? What killed their momentum?

I read a post (that I can't find anymore sorry) talking about how Keng seem to be working for someone to get information on Tee's Uncle. And that got me thinking about the shot of the newspaper with the news about Tee's Uncle

Which I can't translate fully but seems to hint that the uncle is being investigated about money laundry.

So, what if whover was working with Keng (probably journalist) are helping Phee and New/Tan (writing them like that because I am not sure if they are the same person or not) investing their brother but in turn they have to help them with Tee's Uncle. I'll explain.

If my theory about three killers is correct, then New is going to be someone else, someone older. He and Phee are going to connect first. Then they are going to get caught snooping by whover is building a case against Tee's Uncle (I am leaning towards journalists, Dr. Sammon as used the investigative journalist characters before), in which case Tan could be working with this other person. And this person team (side not Perth, could be a member of this other team as well, he went from background in a shot to rubbing Tee's Uncle shoulders in the most recent episode) could coinvince Phee and New to help them, you help us with the this mafia guy we help you find out what happened to Non.

I think this theory works both with New being a third person and with Tan being the brother. It would just mean that they are getting helped by someone from this other team. I am voting for Perth because he has a connection to Tee and I have seen a lot of reactions video clips from the cast to various episodes and he is always with them, like he is playing an important role not just a random side character.

It could explain why it's taking them so long, they have to take out the Uncle first, he is the big shot, the real criminal, the one with the weapons. The one that actually knows what happened to Non. Which means that if he is dead, Phi and New might have just gotten confirmation on it, which would made them pretty damn angry. And it would mean that them asking questions to the boys was less about figuring out what they did and more get them to confess.

That is all I have for now. I really love how much this show is getting me to ask questions and giving me a push to make more posts. This show continues to be great and I can't wait to see the finale.

EDIT: Literally just saw this post on @respectthepetty's blong but apparently the Uncle is dead. I am going insane.

I think my theory still holds. I am definately sure there are three killers and Perth is helping the third killer or is the third killer (depending on If Non is alive, which is looking a bit more likely, if Tan is New or if New is someone else).

I now think that this other team/person that was getting Keng to help was not a journalist but had their own motivations. Like a vigilante maybe, someone who killed before and who would be 100% comfartable taking out a guy by decapitating him, like with Uncle Dang??

But it does makes sense it's taking them this long, Tee's uncle look like a big shot it must not be easy to take him out.

Happy 1 Year QSMP!!!

It's such a bittersweet feeling celebrating the 1 year anniversary of QSMP. There have been so many events, friends, happy times, sad times, and so much more during this time.

Firstly I want to send a huge hug and thanks to everyone working (past or present) on this project. From the builds, the npc actors, the twitter updates, the enigma/lore writers and the funny little bloopers along the way everything done by the admins and Quackity Studios team to bring this project so much life and entertainment, I THANK YOU!! The QSMP has been such a joy to watch as someone who's been on this journey since day 1.

Secondly with the current situation regarding the mistreatment of team members and the dismissal of the updates account it has been emotional to look back on the good this project has done while knowing now how difficult it was for those making it. Much love and support to the team members who left the project and those still on. QSMP is not going to be the same without Dapper and Pomme. I don't know if Ramon will be replaced with another actor, but to the two Ramon admins know that your portrayal of the character will be greatly missed and you guys truly shaped an amazing character. Ramon and Dapper being friends before this project and then carrying that friendship through the characters is still one of my favorite things. Agent 18 and Dansir both brought so much joy through their various characters and behind the scenes work. Thank you guys so much.

Like everyone else, I don't know if this will be the end of the eggs, if they'll replace the egg actors for those who have left, or if they will eventually be able to resume their roles [at least for a proper goodbye :') ], but I do have hope this isn't the end of the QSMP. I have hope the proper measures will be taken so that reimbursement of payment will be made and moving forward all workers will be properly paid. It just sucks so much that so many people that truly love this project suffered so long and it was something that could have been solved much sooner had it been properly handled.

I will continue supporting this project and hope the team listens to Pomme's request of not substituting another actor to her character. I miss q!Jaiden and q!Max as well and am so happy that they were a part of the QSMP, their characters were so funny and cool and honestly a lot of their character's actions have had such a big impact of the story and the server itself.

So here's to a year of QSMP and all the fun communities and memories, and hopefully here's to many more! <3

I see a lot of people talking about what they don’t like when it comes to their fave thing, critiquing and hoping for changes when it comes to new material. Which is fine!

But I’d love to hear some of your favorite things about TLOU!!! Things you love and some positive reasons you’re a fan!

Mine is the story, firstly. The relationships between the characters that are so well fleshed out and complex and beautifully messy. I just love the whole concept of the world and how humans interact with it when it falls apart.

The visuals are stunning and the father-daughter relationship is an unbeatable and heart wrenching relationship to connect with!! I’m so grateful for each actor’s portrayal of the characters (sorry I don’t have show screenshots- these are mine from my ps5)

Just all around such an amazing story that really makes me think about what it means to be a person and what our human connections and love will drive us to do.

Also, it’s just really entertaining. Fun to play and to watch. Can’t go wrong.

I’d love to hear some people’s favorite things about The Last of Us as a whole!!!

My thoughts on Rowoon leaving SF9 as someone who stans them since 2019:

Firstly, those of you who are not even a fan, who does not even follow Rowoon throughout his idol career and are here purely for the bandwagon, please kindly take a step back.

There has always been a reason why some fans knew this was coming and it's not because of the so called 'acting disease' which ya'll seem to assume. There's an unspoken reason which only true fans would know. He has been suffering from a herniated disc since 2020. Before that, he has been really involved with group activities but ever since the injury he sustained, he has not been able to fully participate due to the intense choreographies which he obviously wouldn't be able to do anymore.

Herniated disc is no joke and it doesn't just go away like any other minor injuries. Being put into acting projects is a more manageable and sustainable route for him to contribute to the company as well as his group's brand. Participating in multiple performances would just take a toll on his health because it's not just a one time performance, it's basically hours of practices and rehearsals which would be a sh*tty thing to do to yourself if you have a long ongoing back issues. His problem was so bad at one point that he couldn't even walk without the help of crutches.

It's a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation when it comes to Rowoon because when he priotises his health by not participating and doing other things to contribute instead, people get mad saying that it doesn't feel like he's part of the group then when he tries to participate like the latest comeback, people still get mad because of his dancing and bashed him for his lack of energy and passion. The man is still struggling with a herniated disc, of course he's not going to be able to dance as intensely as he used to. Unless you want him to break his back and paralyze himself in the future maybe.

To be honest, I can see why he may have felt slightly upset about the fans because of the bashing he received due to issues he has no control over. So before anyone mentions Eunwoo or Junho or whatever other actor idols out there who manages to juggle just fine, do they have any underlying health issues that could prevent them from performing choreo? Their situation is completely different so you can't really compare.

Sure, he can stick with doing the bare minimum choreo while aggravating his condition to become worse while also taking in all the bashing comments about his lack of energy for dancing but why should he? It will only make him feel guilty for bringing the group down because he would never be able to perform on par with them and he will only stick out like a sore thumb for all their upcoming performances.

So honestly, this is a right decision he made for himself as well as for his group members. Fans will just have to accept it whether they like it or not. I don't think he owes the fans any proper or detailed explanation for his decision because only real fans would know the truth from the start. If he were to state anything and reveal his vulnerabilities, it would just sound like an excuse to some people anyway so it's best that he does not mention it at all.

I expected Fantasies to be more understanding about his situation to be honest but I fully understand that the disappointment/anger felt are completely valid. I am too. I am disappointed that he's no longer SF9's Rowoon. But as a fan, I also could understand his struggles and the decision he made with him and his group members in mind. It is for the best. It's time for us to just move on and continue to support them as a group and support Rowoon on his new path as well.

If you find it difficult to support him after all this, then fine. You do you. But please don't invalidate the times where he has been nothing but an amazing member of SF9 who have contributed a lot to the group during their beginnings. Who has always been sweet, caring, and loving towards his members and fans. When they first started out, he was literally the PR of the group, going to various shows to promote the group as a rookie. When he started acting, and when he goes on shows, he would introduce himself as SF9 Rowoon while emphasizing on SF9. When he started gaining popularity and goes on shows with his group members, he would literally try to put the attention away from him and let the other members shine more because they deserve the attention as much he does. Please don't forget that Rowoon. Just as Rowoon is going on his new path, I hope that you'll erase all the negativity you might have felt and go on your own path as well.

I love the Jurassic Park franchise, yes even the Jurassic World movies but if they actually go through with another movie (given the info we have), I will simply end myself.

Firstly, I just think Jurassic City is a stupid name.

Secondly, Dominion pretty much wrapped up everything for the major reoccurring characters, even from the first fucking movie, so they'll probably be doing what they did with Jurassic World and essentially jumping to a different point in time & focus in the universe, which will be a lot to keep up with given that while yes, Jurassic World did the same thing with introducing a essentially whole new cast of characters (with the exceptions of Dr Ian Malcolm and Dr Henry Wu) up until Dominion where they then had everybody from the franchise in the past come together, Jurassic World came out FOURTEEN YEARS after Jurassic Park 3. Yes it was a sequel but it was overall meant to mostly be an introduction to the franchise to a whole new generation of watchers, whereas Dominion came out in 2022 and this new movie is supposedly going to come out in like 2025 or something, that is objectively too close together for movies to be released when they are meant to be a part of the same franchise but you are switching to a completely brand new cast of characters because all you are going to do is isolate the audience who fell in love with the previously existing characters from not that many years ago!!

Thirdly, they're supposedly looking at Scarlet Johansson for the lead, which no hate to her, but honestly can we please work on, oh idk, discovering new actors?? People love that shit!!

Fourthly, kinda jumping back to point 2 and adding onto point 3, while yes, Chaos Theory, the sequel series to Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous has been confirmed to come out this year, as far as we know it's a spin off and we only have confirmation about ONE main character returning and honestly??

I'd rather see a prequel-sequel that's meant to be set between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion focusing on the Nublar Six, how they react and overall just a movie that actually acknowledges just how fucked and terrifying the world of Jurassic Park actually is, plus as much as people might scream that it'll be "forced diversity" a live action movie involving the Nublar Six would open the door to see an absolutely amazing diverse cast of actors that we either don't really see at all or especially diversity that we don't see on screen together ya know??

I know that may be kind of counterproductive to part of my argument in point 2 about how switching to a new cast of characters might be confusing but a lot of people who know of Jurassic world have seen or have some context of Camp Cretaceous and therefore it wouldn't be switching to a whole new cast that is never actually been introduced because it has been very formally introduced.

Also can we please get a check in on Zach and Gray??

(Also also totally not asking cuz I wanna see Bumpy find Ben after being taken to the mainland... What...)

Ngl, but I will say that The Sign has been failing me for the last 3 episodes and I don't vibe with this series like I did at the beginning. As a matter of fact, I have the impression that episodes 1-5 are completely different than episodes 6-8.

First of all, an explanation: I watch BL series for pure escapism, I really expect nothing else, but to have a nice time watching the romance of beautiful boys 😎 I don't add any high values, any ideology, I don't have ANY high expectations from BL series, I'm an old school fujoshi. Life is shitty as it is, what's happening around us is depressing - I just need a break from reality, which was previously given to me by books, manga, anime, and now mainly by BL series.

If a BL series tries to be something more, gives me something beautiful, deep, that gives me food for reflection and analysis, such as The Eighth Sense, then I treat it as something extra, like an additional bonus, a gift from the benevolent BL gods 😀 I don't take it for granted as something that, idk, has to be there. For me, BL series are supposed to give me a good time, they have to spark joy (and what never ceases to amaze me is how, with such minimal expectations, so many series still can't do even this minimum lol). Despite everything, I can forgive a lot, as long as the couple and their romance make me feel good. Like, A LOT.

The Sign in episodes 1-5 was EXACTLY what I expect from BL series: a killer couple, great chemistry between the actors, an interesting story (even if stupid and chaotic at times). I praised this series for Phaya and Tharn (emphasis on Tharn) and their MANY high-quality scenes together. Their romance was tender and hot at the same time, the attraction between them was visible from the beginning, their relationship developed logically and linearly, the series made me feel joy and hope.

But something broke down from episode 6. The romance went into strange fluctuations, depressive lows and sudden bursts of euphoria, the number of their shared, high-quality scenes decreased dramatically, in episode 6 there were even no such scenes, and in 7 and 8 I counted like 2 of them. I CONSTANTLY GO BACK TO THEIR SCENES FROM EPISODES 1- 5, AND FROM EPISODES 6-8 I ONLY GO BACK TO ONE.

What else I loved about PhayaTharn's relationship was how equal they both are in the relationship. Since episode 6, there is no equality, the person who is constantly striving and fighting for their relationship and constantly giving of himself is Phaya. And only Phaya is shown as someone who even has a nervous breakdown due to being rejected by Tharn. Tharn is shown as if everything he does is calculated coldly, the lack of contact with Phaya is not shown as if it was even some kind of nuisance for him. Tharn became a double victim of the script and the narrative: firstly, because he is a character who is afraid that Phaya will die and therefore rejects him, and secondly, the script is unable to present it in a way that is sympathetic to Tharn. I know that Tharn is afraid. But it's not about what I know, but how I perceive it. And I perceive Tharn with irritation. (in The Eight Sense, Jae Won also rejected Ji Hyun after the accident, but in this case I knew why he did it and in addition, the series presented Jae Won in such a way that my heart bled for him. That's what a good story is, it makes me feel satisfied when looking at the scene and the characters both objectively and emotionally)

Another thing that is starting to take away from my enjoyment of watching this series is the constant leaks and spoilers that suggest a breakup, Tharn's "sacrifice" for Phaya, that somehow karma and Chalathon will win and love and Phaya will lose. Just yesterday I listened to a song sung by Babe and read the lyrics of this song… I'm, ok, like, it's totally not my style lol. This is no longer my escape from reality, reality has caught up with me in my yaoi dream 😂

Saturday was The Sign day for me, I never made any plans just to be able to watch the show when it came out. But guess what, I might have potential plans for this Saturday and after my first reaction of "no, I have to watch The Sign", my second thought was whether I really wanted to watch an episode that would probably be depressing again, with maybe one nice scene, and that's assuming that Phaya will wake up? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess I'm not in a rush 😄

I also want to say that on instagram I mostly see stuff about Babe and Billy, and the tag the sign on tumblr is kept alive thanks to the heroic efforts of about 3 good people lol whatever content appears, 90% are scenes from old episodes and from new ones, there are mostly from the love scene. Soooo, I suppose people are not too hyped about recent episodes as well... 🙂

Anyway, I am begging this series to bring back the vibe and way of presenting PhayaTharn's story from its beginnings. I have nothing against angst, tears, even temporary breakups (during the series, NOT at the end). This is how it was in The Eighth Sense, MoD, LoA, To Sir, With Love, and in fucking The Untamed where the breakup lasted for years and The Angst was served in BUCKETS lol. But what I want is for their love to be their strength, for watching them together to give me pleasure and joy. I would like to see more scenes with them, even if they were fighting (not this rejection/ cold days bullshit), but for them to be together and for there to be some good emotions. I want to return to the obsession this series made me feel, to endlessly analyze their scenes together, to blush and squeal like a little girl. And not to wait with increasing dread for the ending like in MODC 😶

(besides, the series just became a little boring and even more chaotic, like, I don't even know (and care for that matter) whose body they pulled out of the water in the last episode and how many open cases they are having at the same time lmao and now there will be also Tharn's personal revenge, this is crazy 😂)

smth weird to me is how ppl are suddenly like “most people like mike’s monologue and the duffers praised finn for the monologue and how great it was. byler isn’t happening guys.”

firstly, did everyone just forget how finn wolfhard was literally being called a bad actor after v2 dropped because people thought the monologue was so weird??? i sure didn’t, people were slandering finn’s acting left and right, they were saying he was “so over stranger things” and didn’t care about it anymore because the duffers “ruined mike” so he was just giving half-ass performances. am i living in some alternate dimension or did people just suddenly forget all of that happened?

second of all, the duffers praised finn because he did an amazing job with the monologue because the monologue was written with intention to be bad. i’m not saying the duffers/writers are bad writers, i’m saying they purposely made the monologue off-putting because it was supposed to be off-putting. mike is lying during the monologue, he’s ripping off the bandaid because he believes his feelings for will are unrequited and he’s pushing himself (with will’s unintentional help) into the forced conformity that is being with el and just saying what he thinks she wants to hear. (she doesn’t anymore, she’s come to terms with that) finn did a fantastic job delivering it. he’s hesitant, it sounds like he almost doesn’t know what to say so he’s spewing whatever sounds romantic. finn ad libbed lines like “you’re my superhero” smth that el DOES NOT want to hear.

people aren’t thinking about these things the right way. you guys are only looking at one perspective because you’re so used to never having your expectations subverted yet the duffers have proven time and time again that they’re sort of masters at subverting expectations as of the end of season 4. i genuinely believe this and will continue to believe this unless im proven wrong in season 5.

Omg finally got round to watching the third episode! Aaaa

Firstly, the update to Medusa is fascinating! With so many updates to how she's portrayed, with the question of 'Whose the real Villain?' being up in the air, leaving Medusa so ambiguous is perfect! It plays so damn well into the thematic elements of the PJO series (The morality of the gods being on thin fucking ice) whilst also keeping all the Medusa interpretations in tact. Very tactfully done, nice job.

Secondly. I was immediately sad that the kids didn't blow up the bus properly.... And then I remembered that that might be a little insensitive due to mass shootings and such so... honestly good call there! Smart move. And they added some interesting interactions with the Fuery and Medusa. I applaud the writer's room.

Character wise:

Grover. Best boi. No notes. Him trying to resolve the conflict with a dumb song is so dam in character! I adore him. His actor is amazing. I adore his vibe. Argh.

Percy and Annabeth bickering like that is also great. Gods they drive each other up the wall. I adore.

Annabeth being 3 steps ahead of the game is great but to capitalize that with 'she won't tell anyone shit' is amazing. Medusa playing off of her pride is great and trying to use that respect for her mother to shake her is Stellar. Also it clearly is eating at her. (My Grand Plan playing in the back of my brain)

And then there's Percy. God he's so argumentative! He's so angry and he should be! He's a perfect foil to Luke. He's everything Luke could have been. And boi does he deserve to be pissed.

Also man the "Will be betrayed by the one who you call a friend" really hitting hard with his loyalty flaw. So damn good.

Also also "I am impertinent" best line. No notes.

Anyway. I think this is the best ep so far! Great characterisations and I'm so glad they are updating bits and adding to the source material!!!

Firstly, can I say thank you for all your GO meta. I've spent much of my insomnia soaked night reading through your musings and the replies, and almost all of what I've read makes so much sense to me.

There is a question, honestly, but first..

I read GO when it first came out, and have probably been an avid Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman fan for longer than many fans have been alive. Loved the book, adored the first series, found myself completely floored by S2. The last 15 is probably. - no that's wrong, Definitely - the most beautiful, tragic, heart wrenching scene I've ever encountered. Realising what just broke you was played out by two middle aged, straight actors but all you've seen are two beings whose universe is each other and who are being ripped apart by what they are feeling. I don't have the words, I really don't. Sublime acting & writing.

My response surprised me, I couldn't let it go and I worried at it like a (small, red eyed) dog with a bone. Then I found Tumblr and realised I was far from alone. I've read all the theories and a fair bit of fan fiction (re Michael Sheen, "I love that the fans write their own stories, even if most of them involve David & I having sex"). Some of the POV resonate some don't. Yours do much more than most.

After all that, mine isn't a huge question, it's just a niggle I have. Maggie. Something doesn't feel right there and I wondered if she had set anything off on your radar? Given that NOTHING is accidental in a Gaiman story..

Maggie can't spell and it was highlighted. UGRENCY. (T.O.S.T.E, and Angle anyone) Maggie doesn't eat, though she loves a skinny latte, and doesn't drink alcohol. Claims the record shop is failing, but sends a pub in Edinburgh music for their jukebox? She was never a teenager, and whilst claiming to be tired of being scared is completely fearless. Won't leave Az on his own, is unfazed by demons and doesn't question what Cr & Az are, unlike Nina.

I'm not sure where I'm going with it, but something is off and I wondered if you had any thoughts?

Ok, enough, I'll stop rambling and step out of your questions now. Thank you for bearing with me if you made it this far.

First I just want to acknowledge and validate your adoration for Good Omens! This fandom exists For Reasons! Cheers, and thank you for your ask.

I've seen other folks wondering what you're wondering about Maggie; you're definitely not alone. For the little it's worth, I don't actually think she's ethereal or occult. I think she's a human being with some quirks. (I also can't agree with "doesn't eat" -- we don't see her eat, and she doesn't accept Aziraphale's offer of an Eccles cake, but the former is likely happenstance and the latter, well, I wouldn't accept an Eccles cake either if I had just taken such a giant monetary gift from someone. It's just too much; I'd feel that I was taking advantage and not being properly grateful.)

I actually don't drink alcohol, and I assure you I'm fully 100% no-question-about-it human. (Though there are those who would say I'm more than slightly demonic.) I had an alcoholic parent, which shaped my young life in some not-amazing ways, and I never understood how they got to be that way, so I decided to stay safe and just... not try drinking.

When I got older and more confident in my ability to steer clear of alcoholism, I tried a bit of wine and a bit of brandy and a bit of other thises and thats and discovered that I plain old didn't like them! So I drink non-alcoholic cocktails (I love this fashion! N/A cocktails can be creative and tasty!) and locally-made sodas and if that makes me weird, okay, I'm weird. It doesn't make me an angel. Doesn't even make me a "better" (whatever that is) person -- it's morally neutral. It just is.

(I'm not a skinny-latte person, though, in case you were wondering whether I'm Maggie. Chai is my coffeeshop preference.)

A thematic reason I think Maggie is human has to do with an extension of the Good Omens axiom that Heaven and Hell are just names for sides. Demons, angels, a vulnerability or a trick more or less and other than that they're basically the same. I want to believe that in the GOverse, that's true of humans too -- we have more in common with angels and demons than anyone cares to admit, despite the difference in lifespan and our superior inventiveness. Possibly including quirkiness!

I want this to be true because it means Crowley and Aziraphale needn't be lonely together on Earth even if Heaven and Hell do finally chuck them out for good. I want this to be true because it adds some intriguing resonance to a Second Coming of Jesus story. I want it to be true because I want Good Omens to keep saying go-be-properly-good to humanity.

I could be wrong, of course. I've had several of my headcanons contradicted by Word of Gaiman already, barely a month after s2 came out. I'm sure more will go the way of the dodo, and there are a few things I've said that I don't actually believe any more myself.

But I want Maggie to be human because I like her. I like her shy awkward approach to Nina. I like her willingness to explain How To Human When You're Crying to Aziraphale without shaming him for not knowing. I like her loyalty to her benefactor, which she doesn't trumpet but which is brave as all get-out when the demons show up. I like her flipping the bird at the demons, creatively defending the bookshop, standing up to Shax, giving Nina space to work things out.

Sometimes we humans are okay, you know?
