Chop all veggies roughly, add oil into a pan and sauté on medium heat until tender, about 10-15 minutes. 2. Add the chopped tomatoes, sugar and tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper and cook with the lid on for 15 minutes on low. 3. Remove from heat and blend until smooth. 🎉NEW CWACOM AU🎉

Story:

Swallow Falls quietly lives its life, eating sardines all over the city, which does not suit anyone, but the residents have no other choice. So it goes on until one day a strange boy comes to town, full of strength and hope. It turns out his name is Filbert Lockwood and he is 26 years old. Short for Filby. He is a novice pastry chef and, after learning about the Swallow Falls, its inhabitants and their "rich" food, decides to come here and open his own restaurant. He does it, his food is simply amazing for the residents, soon Filbert becomes a famous float chef. Life begins to acquire new bright colors, previously unseen.

There will be no events from films 1 and 2 in this AU, since there are no reasons for such fantastic catastrophes as a Food Storm. Filbert is an ordinary chef who is not able to arrange something like this. However, he is able to create foodimals together with his best friend Flint.

Friends:

Filbert is not only a cook, but also loves science, just like Flint Lockwood, the local notorious inventor. Filbert is Flint's second cousin, as a child he often visited Fran, Flint's mother and his great aunt, because Flint and Filbert know each other well. In the end, these two support each other in their hobby (for Flint, a profession) and Filbert does not consider Lockwood strange at all, rather on the contrary, the sanest in Swallow Falls.

Filbert will also make friends with Sam, as she is Flint's first best friend and they will love to talk about the weather. Filbert will dream of edible rain, which in reality, of course, does not exist.

Filbert won't be on good terms with Brent because he's an upstart, a so-called "wet chicken" (Filby loves to call him that) and he's bullying Flint. In addition to Brent, Filbert will not love Gil either, because he considers him to be the same upstart and a person who wants not to remain in the shadows and always attracts attention to himself, and Filby does not like such people. He doesn't know about Gil's abusive relationship with his father, lol.

Filby will avoid Bella because she is his ardent fan, who also loves the kitchen and this young, still in the prime of life, chef.

But Filby will be on good terms with Cal and Joe.

Interesting facts:

- Filby is about the same height as Flint, a couple of centimeters taller than Flint.

- His restaurant is called "Chewandswallow".

- Since Filby is a kind and soft-hearted guy, he tries to dress up cool and show himself from a cold and relaxed side at various conferences, meetings, interviews, etc. He does this because he wants to have a reputation not just as a chef, but as a respected, strict and demanding chef and the head of a large restaurant chain, which is worth being afraid of. Only people close to him know that this is an image and in fact Filbert is not at all what he seems in public.

- Together with Flint, they will create a new kind of life - foodimals. These are lively foods, some of them look like animals.

- Filbert will notice that Flint's idol and a well-known scientist, Chester V, who is too painfully interested in animal products, has appeared in the Swallow Falls. Filby doesn't believe him a bit.

- Filbert is for healthy lifestyle, he does not drink and does not inject, but sometimes, quite infrequently, he is not averse to lighting a cigarette.

- Filbert is asexual and does not have a romantic relationship with anyone.

- Filbert loved Fran very much and was even depressed for a while after learning about her death. Together with Flint, they often come to her grave.

I'm not giving up on the AU where FLDSMDFR is a human robot, it's just that I now have as many as 3 CWACOM AU🐥

Easy Rosemary Garlic Focaccia Bread, my favourite recipe of focaccia, very flavourful, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. ➡️follow @join_your_life_ ✔️ SAVE this post to make later ✔️ TAG a friend who needs this inspo Ingredients 500g strong bread flour , plus extra for dusting 7g dried fast action yeast or 21 gr fresh yeast 2 tsp fine sea salt 350-400 ml lukewarm water 5 tbsp olive oil , plus extra for the tin and to serve For the topping 4-5 garlic cloves crushed or grated 1 tsp flaky sea salt ¼ small bunch of rosemary , sprigs picked 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried 5 tbsp olive oil 5 cherry tomatoes, halved (optional) Making the topping: add garlic, olive oil, salt and herbs to a small pan. Place the pan over low heat and cook, stirring occasionally, 2 to 4 minutes or until aromatic, but before the garlic browns. Set aside. Making the dough 1. In a large bowl, combine the warm water, yeast and 3-4 tbsp of flour. Stir a few times then let sit for 5 -10 minutes. 2. Add the olive oil, the flour and salt. 3. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until the 4. dough comes together, soft and less sticky. 5. Transfer the dough to a large oiled bowl, cover with clinging film and a clean towel and let it rise for 1 hour. 6. After this time, heat the oven to 220C/200C fan/gas 7. 7. Use two tbsp of the olive oil and grease a 9-inch by 13-inch rimmed baking pan. 8. Transfer the dough to the baking pan, then press it down gently into the pan. Use your fingers to dimple the dough then drizzle the top with the the garlic olive oil mixture. Add the tomatoes on the surface, if using, by pressing gently into the dough. Let the dough rise for 20 -30 minutes until it puffs slightly. 9. Bake until golden brown, 15 to 20 min. Cool baked focaccia bread on a wire rack. 10. My main problem with CWACOM 2 isn’t the character regression (though that is a problem). It isn’t the horrible title (though that’s another issue).

No, my problem with the sequel is that it can’t take a single emotional scene seriously. Cloudy 1 had several scenarios that elicited fear, anger, or otherwise from the audience, Flint’s presumed death coming to mind. Yet every time Cloudy 2 attempts this, some random joke forces a laugh out of the audience and ruins the scene.

Take the vesting ceremony for instance. Flint loses his chance to impress Chester V by way of saying the word “celebrate” and prompting Steve to trigger the Party-In-A-Box. He gets laughed at, pointed at, all that stuff. In the next scene, he walks home holding the worst slouch a human can, while a ridiculous song plays in the background. All this confuses the viewer; are we supposed to feel bad for Flint, or laugh at the song and/or how much he’s slouching?

Some more examples of this under the cut:

When Tim comes to Flint’s room to comfort him after the vesting ceremony, the bed tips over on impact of him sitting on it. Also Steve experiences some *cough* shenanigans involving a party horn in the background.

While assembling the team to go back to the island, Earl spontaneously abandons Cal and presumably Regina without a goodbye (when it was shown in the first movie that Earl is a family man)

In the next scene, Manny spontaneously abandons a cow midlabor without appointing someone to finish the job (when it was shown in the first movie that Manny takes doctoring very seriously)

(I’m skipping the scene with Brent since that’s pretty in character for once in this movie)

After Sam takes a liking to Barry, she thrusts him into Flint’s face. What follows is a very, very stretched gag solely consisting of Flint screaming.

When the gang finds the rest of the foodimals, they gasp in the manner of the first movie. Unlike the first, everyone does it simultaneously and for a ridiculously long time.

While everyone is running from the cheespider, the background music gets so loud that it’s really all you can pay attention to.

Those are the examples I have on my end, if I think of any more I’ll probably edit the post or reblog. Have a good day :)

A bit of a different style of printable mini post today, a cute little addition to the roster, some Pastry Puppies! These printable paper minis were made for the November Foodimals Challenge held by the Character Design Challenge, with a good bit of inspiration from Loot Tavern's October Patreon release. I couldn't help myself and felt like I had to make something after seeing all the awesome entries and the wonderful food themed monsters. These little guys could be the perfect addition to any Feywild or whimsical themed DnD, Pathfinder, or other ttrpg session!
