So for context me and my boyfriend have been going out for about 2 months now. He's a very cuddly person which I am aswell but he's a lot more forward anyways

We're cuddling and we're holding hands and he's like stroking his thumb on like the bit of skin that connects your thumb and pointer and it was very tickly so I went

Okay so I finished rewarching Slugterra and I have questions and forgive me if they've been addressed before.

Eli has been living with his mom who left when he was ten so he went to his uncle and lived with him for five years. Okay but then that raises the question of from which side of the family was this uncle from?

If it was his father's side then:

1. Why didn't that brother step up as the new Shane

2. Why would you let a barely fifteen year old go off on their own in a place that can be quite dangerous?

The more likely option is that it was his mom's brother but then:

1. Does his mom and uncle know about Slugterra considering how secretive Will Shane was?

2. How does his uncle feel if he doesn't know about it?

Idk about yall but I would be freaking the fuck out. His nephew potentially just disappeared right after his sister and his brother in law did. And if he did know about Slugterra then he has to deal with no contact with his nephew in a place that killed his brother in law.

Ok I saw this reblog about how Irondad doesn’t work because “Peter ‘eat the rich’ Parker” would never, and yes! I agree, /that/ comic canon Peter Parker wouldn’t vibe with it.

However, we’ve gotta acknowledge that the Marvel Universe has become an endless stream of fanfiction— and no, I’m not talking about AO3.

You have MCU Peter - which is who all the irondadders are referencing. He’s a teenager. Yes, I agree the dynamic is more hardheaded than not, but he’s looked up to Tony his whole life. Tony saved him from being blasted at an expo. Theres some hero worship going on there fs, but he’s his own person too whos gotta figure himself out.

You have Spiderverse Peter. Specifically Peter B. Parker. He has a baby now :) He has probably never met/heard of ironman and wouldn’t get along with him. They’re both too far on the stubborn asshole radar imo.

You have Tobey!Peter and Andrew!Peter - both of which have no idea what an Avenger is, nor do I think being apart of a team would float their boat. Maybe Andrew!Peter, but I’m positive the dynamic would be different.

LETS NOT FORGET BILLIONAIRE PETER PARKER FROM THE SPIDEYPOOL SERIES. The guy IS the rich. Honestly, as much as I love that series and the Spider-Man Deadpool dynamic, not my fave take on Peter.

Edit: it has come to my attention that this Spider-Man is same universe as Superior Spider-Man (who wasn’t mentioned purposefully) Which makes a lot more since IMO.

My Pins, my spike bracelets, my bag(specifically the can tabs on the cuffs do that), the chains. It gets so annoying!!!

I sewed a patch onto my right shoulder on friday, and yesterday when getting ready for scouts it somehow got caught on a pin(i was sitting next to my blazer) and ripped right off. I was so pissed, but imm going to sew it back on during my next free period.

I’m terrified the can tabs will fall off the cuffs and go everywhere>:(

When the repairs are done i might show off the jacket in all its glory :)

The “healthy ship” in question is between two characters who have an age gap, had one conversation and has several fan stories where the writer depicts them not having a healthy relationship

I’m not gonna shame anyone for ship preferences and I’m up for media criticism but this just kinda weird? Not kinda, just flat out weird actually

It’s extremely weird people keep commenting on that Laserhawk shipping shit post with crap like “well Rayfrog is healthier-“ when the two aren’t even canon and their romantic dynamic is pure fan speculation as this point, not to mention it’s an extremely shallow view of both the characters and the show’s themes.

Yes Alex sucks ass, but to say people shouldn’t even attempt to explore Alex and Dolph's relationship in favour of a non canon ship because it’s “healthier” is just so? Dolph has so much tragedy to his character that also says so much about the environment that Dolph and many other kids who grew up like him had to experience in the setting of Eden, and Alex plays a huge part of that.

To say Alex x Dolph isn’t worth “shipping” is to basically admit you don’t care for the show’s themes of exploitation, abuse and trauma under an uncaring capitalist dystopia.

Regardless if Alex’s love was genuine, the relationship he had with Dolph was no different to how Eden used Dolph as a tool and I think that’s definitely far more interesting than just “what if Rayman makes out sloppy style with twink Globox?”

Also, you know you don’t have to ship “ethically”, right? You can have spice. Obviously criticising ships and fiction shouldn’t be taboo either but everyone is “problematic” to some degree. Please use the block button

Edit: I wanted to add now that I thought about this more is that I now realise what it is that bugs me about Rayfrog despite it being a good ship , and it’s not because it’s the most popular ship in the fandom or the two are hog 90% of tags all over the place

It’s because we got a situation where a chunk of the fandom wants to focus on Rayfrog being a wholesome ship while actively ignoring the source material is full of dark , mature and outright problematic story elements, so people who want to talk about Laserhawk’s less vanilla aspects are drowned out by people who joke about rayfrog being toxic yaoi/yuri but can’t actually handle actual toxic yaoi/yuri (wanna stress this does not apply to everyone who ships rayfrog but it’s a noticeable bias on that shit post I made)

probably also awkward that Rayman’s original series is aimed at kids so 🤷‍♀️
