When you were just a small child you loved playing at your grandfather's workshop. You would often nag your parents to take you to your grandfather's home which was a little far to just walk when you were so young and when you had holidays when your mother asked you if you would like to stay at home or if you would like your grandfather to watch over you. One hundred percent of the time you would choose to be with your grandfather.
Your grandfather made many dolls and ever since you could walk you would watch him as he slowly and meticulously make and paint each doll so detailedly. Out of everything this was your favorite pastime.
You own a few dolls, some were gifts given by your grandfather others you asked for hidden away ones that would never see the light of day anymore till you found them.
They were your treasures, as you told your grandfather that you also would be a doll maker like him. Your grandfather could see the care and love that you put in them something he would smile at as you tried to copy him in caring for those dolls.
There was a secret that no one knew except for your grandfather yet even he didn't know all of its secrets. Each doll that he ever created was conscious, they could feel love and happiness but they also could feel pain and loss. It was through that, that was he able to make the loveliest dolls that were worth so much in the eyes of the doll collectors.
Yet that was it... he thought, they were not really humans to your grandfather's they were nothing more than animals or even plants. Creatures with instinct but nothing more. They could not more move like a dog nor could they give affection like a cat or any animal, they could get stressed something that your grandfather noticed like a plant that forcefully moved one pot to another And they were even prettier when maintained properly like a plant when given the proper light and water.
He knew that they have thoughts, he didn't know that they had feelings, minds that could remember years, and that it wasn't limited to the small things.
Sure animals would be happy when they are with their loved ones or cry when they lost a loved one. But it was just so confusing really... his thought were all mixed together.
He was just not sure what they were.
He could not find his answers.
But he did notice that the dolls were different around you, there was a glow to that that wasn't there... their features sometimes made him wonder if he really was the one who made them.
And when you are gone their features darken as if dead, dull and normal unlike when you were there. Yet your grandfather could hear their anger and screams every single day and second when they weren't with you. It kept your grandfather awake at night, it made him wonder if he was ever asleep in the morning having nightmare after nightmare. Maybe that is why he has given you many dolls for you to take, unable to bear the chaos they created in his mind and afraid of something even darker. Not that you would notice, too happy to notice the hesitant eyes of your grandfather as he hurriedly gave you the doll you wanted, the ones that you touched or the ones that cried when you were gone.
He didn't want to give you them yet he was afraid in the end what they might do just to be there with you.
Your grandfather remembers that time when he gave you a doll that he made when he was still an apprentice. Many of these dolls were lost or corroded due to cheap materials long ago. Zhongli was a doll that he gave to you when you were born when he told the doll to watch over you.
Thoma was a doll that you bought with your own money. Money that you saved up and pay your grandfather to get.
Venti, Xiao, Ayato and Albedo were dolls that he kept in the storage. Something that he learned was that if one doll that belonged to a set was gone the other one is also gone while not in a physical sense but your grandfather saw that he was unable to sell them as nobody wanted them.
Tartaglia was another doll that he gave you, a doll that was inspired by when he went to Russia yet he thought he lost it for years only to be found by you later on.
Kaeya and Diluc were dolls that were created by you. When he wanted to test if you too were able to see a soul-like thing in them. He was curious about your potential and while he didn't let you make them as you may get hurt he let you decide on many things.
Kazuha was another doll that he wasn't necessarily able to sell as your grandfather tried to yet whenever the doll leaves the house in other hands or even his, the doll would always come back here waiting on the porch or window sill. Your grandfather gave the doll to you once thinking that it would come back yet it never did.
Your grandfather wanted to know the reasons, wanted to know why they have become so attached to you like moths to light. Yet he worries that those so attached to you would one day take you away.

Day of the Wedding
Yandere! Genshin Men x Fem! Reader
Ft: Diluc, Childe, Scaramouche
Forced Marriage AU
TW: Yandere Themes, Forced(?) Alcohol Consumption
AN: I checked today and I have 900 followers??? That's actually insane!!! This is what I've got to offer I guess!!
Tumblr media
Diluc
Who wouldn't cry tears of joy when marrying the most desired bachelor of Mondstadt? That's what people thought when they saw you dressed from head to toe in pure white, the only thing throwing your princess attire off being your smeared makeup. Your eyes, so red and puffy, had mascara running down your cheeks. Black tears staining your face.
Despite the way you looked, you still forced a smile. It was a small wedding, containing only those close to the both of you, but your family couldn't help, but wonder why you chose to stay close under your newly wed husband, almost seeming afraid to talk to them.
When the vows were spoken, you could barely get the words out. Your voice shaking through sobs as your tears fell upon the page of written notes, eventually making the ink leak and becoming ineligible. You still spoke your I Do’s, followed by him lifting your veil and kissing you right upon your lips. His hand snaked around your waist and the other held your head in place. But you, you stood there stiffly, like kissing him had made you turn into stone.
Diluc pulled away with a smile, his mouth stained with a slight tint of your lipstick. He walked you back down the aisle, with the crowd throwing rice and cheering. On the happiest day of your life where you were supposed to be looking forward ahead of you, you just kept looking back, hoping that your family could see the distress in your eyes, though they never did.
Childe
So many of Childe's siblings and cousins and aunts and uncles came to the wedding, but not a single one of your family members joined you.
“She's not close to her family,” he'd say, holding on to your waist with a threatening hand. That was a lie. You loved your family. You saw them often, at least, you did before the day you abruptly decided to move to Snezhnaya without a word to them. You hadn't seen them since and they didn't know where to send letters, you were essentially a ghost of their past. Your memory haunted them daily as they missed you dearly and you missed them too.
The wedding lasted days and days. A surprise to even you, but apparently that's tradition. Games and singing. There was dancing happening for what felt like hours. And drinking. So so so much drinking. With a feast that spanned almost an entire table, there was an abundance of alcohol to match.
You could hardly keep up with the festivities. In an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people being wed to a man you thought you knew. Childe wouldn't let you show your discomfort on your face, meeting your lips with a glass of whatever he was drinking, you'd gulp down even more and fall into that drunken dizziness. When the wedding ended, you don't exactly remember. It all became a blur near the end. But you remember waking up to Childe laying you down in bed, placing a kiss on your forehead and whispering words of praise to you that would've been comforting, had it not been for who he was.
Scaramouche
He always adored the way you looked in kimono. Today was no different. The pure white silk draped over your body was by far the nicest one he'd gifted you. Dolled up in traditional make-up, you felt so stiff with your now decadent appearance.
You'd feel less scared if he wasn't still wearing that same glare. That same look of anger and disappointment. Even though it was just the two of you in the room, you him and the officiant who would wed the two of you, he still glared at the man like one mistake would kill him. And it probably would.
Your hand shook as you picked up what looked to be the tea pot, something he made you practice time and time again to prepare just for today. Getting it wrong today would mean facing his wrath later, yet you still shook while pouring it into the small bowl. You watched with a pounding heart as you managed to spill some, dripping onto the floor and sinking between the wood.
Meeting his gaze and preparing for a scolding, you instead saw him lightly chuckle. Seldom did he smile and even more rare than that, did he actually laugh. The sight was even scarier than his usual glares, somehow his joy made him seem even more menacing.
“I expected this much from you,” he whispered into the silence. His nimble fingers gripped the rim of the bowl and he brought it to your lips, making you take a sip of the warm alcohol. It was bitter and disgusting, just as you'd remembered. When you swallowed your sip, he took one right after you, finishing off what was left in the dish, then sitting it to the side again.
Your names were signed onto a piece of parchment, a wedding document written in traditional Inazuma script. You couldn't read a word of it, but there was no worse contract than the one that said you'd be his lawfully wedded wife.
Scaramouche held your hand as the two of you walked out of the shrine, his fingers cold and his grip tight. It was such a beautiful day out. That was all you could think about as you were walked back to his carriage which would take you to his home. Your last day as a truly free woman, you were glad it was beautiful.

Title: Your Grandfather's gift

In all his life he had made many dolls, porcelain dolls in particular. Durable yet looked so fragile, he was interested in them when he was a boy and visited a toy shop he didn't know why it was a feeling really but when he first saw a doll in the hands of a little girl who was also in the store he could hear it almost childlike laughter from the doll when it was held by its owner.
He never got the reason why that was the case he was a child too after all, not that he would ever understand it even as he grew up but to a small mind it was fascinating.
He wanted to talk to these dolls, he wanted to know their secrets and why he was able to listen to them but what he wanted to do most was create them. It was like creating life, no?
When he became older, he ended up becoming an apprentice by one of the famous doll makers. That elder saw potential in him when they saw the dolls that he had made. Made with cheap materials and imperfect yet there was something there that also made it special.
Your grandfather listened to the sounds of the dolls, there were no words that he could understand it was almost like static yet he could feel when a doll wanted something or when it was just delighted to be made. He had made many dolls practicing his craft some sold some did not but something he noticed was how strong the emotions were in each doll.
He wasn't sure really sometimes he thought that the more detailed the doll was or the more treasured it was then the stronger that invisible light was. Yet that was not the case, a doll that he made that took months came out with the smallest light while a doll that was just made out of practice than anything had a stronger light or emotion than the one that took the most details out of all dolls. There were also dolls that once had a small light suddenly become huge, sometimes almost yelling in his ear.
Your grandfather hated when something bad happened to the dolls. If a doll ended up eroding so much that he can't fix it or them suddenly breaking into pieces, dropped by clumsy hands. Because even if he was disappointed that his creation was destroyed the mourning of the other dolls could sometimes go on for days if not months.
The sound of cries and pain, a constant ringing that he could not cover even with his own hands. It hurt was just only a little bearable when he left the building yet would come back when he goes back.
All this was not normal, your grandfather knew it as he understand what was happening around him. When he told his parents at such a young age that he could talk to dolls or the weird look that his colleagues and teacher gave him when he asked if they could hear the voices. It tightly sewed his mouth shut so much so that in the end not even his wife nor children ever knew about his power.
Your grandfather remembers that time a long ago when he continued and continued to make doll after doll to improve his craft. Most of them were made of cheap materials that they soon rotten over time leaving only one left.
A doll he named Zhongli, he noticed it's clothes continued to deteriorate, small cracks here and there yet it was just barely holding itself. It was holding itself as if he didn't want to go, to leave.
He didn't know what compelled him when his son's daughter only a few weeks old finally visited did he watch you a little baby eyes continue to watch the doll on the shelf and when you grew closer to it you would laugh and reach out for that old doll making very small sounds of wanting, raining your hands to reach it.
Your father was surprised when your grandfather tried to gift the doll to you. As your father knew Zhongli was a doll that his dad had so many memories with but when your grandfather insisted your dad had no choice but to take that doll.
The next time your grandfather saw that doll it was in your arms as you cling to it. There was a bit of droll stuck on the doll but your grandfather can't believe his eyes when he saw the light that was slowly dimming come back with a soft yet bright glow brighter than the glow that the doll once had only to dim when it was held by other, dimming even more when you started to cry being apart from you.
Your grandfather didn't understand what he was doing when he took the doll away from your parents giving the doll back to you to see your laugh again making grabbing motions while the doll light glowed back again.

Title: The Wisp
Character(s): Venti (Genshin Impact)
Summary: Haunted Doll au; Instead of sleeping in your grandfather's arms you continued to stare at the closed room.

Your grandfather cradled you in his arms, both your mom and dad had appointments at work to attend to that day and had asked your grandfather if they could leave you with him. Your grandfather was kind enough to say yes as he did enjoy his time with his little granddaughter.
Right after your mother left you at his place, your grandfather planned on letting you take your afternoon nap slowly rocking you so that you would fall asleep.
Yet you did not.
Your grandfather frowned, he thought that having the doll Zhongli in your arms you would be able to peacefully sleep yet you continued to stare at something. Holding Zhongli tightly in your arms you continued to stare at a certain door.
When he asked you if you wanted to go there, there was a shine in your eyes that told him your answer.
Your grandfather thought your interest was innocent seeing the last time you went there was when you got Zhongli, he took you to that room. Slowly opening the door he showed what was inside.
The space was almost like a long corridor with glass shelves on each side and each shelf had dolls in them some cracked, broken and some complete yet piled with dust and lifeless.
The curiosity on your face as you looked at each one of them and then your grandfather, your curious eyes that stared at him as if asking what they were and why they were here. It made your grandfather wonder why he understood your thoughts when he didn't even understand his son when he was your age.
Your grandfather was quick to chalk it up to experience, something that he gained after so long. Smiling at you he walked towards one of the glass panels so that it could be easier for you to see the dolls that were inside. "These dolls here are dolls that I could not sell. Dolls that broke down due to time and age because of poor materials back when I was young and dolls that did want to be sold."
You glanced at the dolls again inside the panel where dolls of all kinds but there was one in particular that caught your eyes. Your grandfather looked at the doll you had your eyes trained on too and smiled "That doll is called Venti. He was supposed to be a pair with another doll. They were supposed to be together... a small boy and his little wisp."
Your grandfather adjusted his hold on you, yet your eyes continue to look at the doll. "It was unfortunate really but while I was in the progress of finishing the boy with an arrow and bow the… hmmm how to say light? The light suddenly disappeared."
Your grandfather looked at the doll with regret, the cheerful smile the doll had yet it looked so dead. He remembered giving this particular doll to his teacher when he was young and his teacher told him that there was something odd about this doll, that even tho everything was meticulously made there was something in that doll that somehow died that your grandfather's teacher told him that he would never be able to sell this doll.
"Back then I thought that it was a shame to throw a doll like this that I placed wisp light into it." The shrieks after that time were terrifying as if it didn't want this at all and that it wanted to be free but your father was young back then, he didn't understand and was too stubborn as he forced the light into a casket it could not accept.
The crying that came after it kept the old man awake for days but at some point, the sounds of tears and pain died down to what sounded akin to sniffles even tho it sounded more like ringing to his ears.
Maybe that was why he was desperate enough to try and sell it, he wanted nothing to do with the sounds that were irrupting to that doll nor the crawling feeling it gave late at night as if something invisible was trying to choke him...
It got better, slowly but he could not look at the doll anymore placing the doll in the center stage of the shop so that there was a possibility that it would be gone in the next few days.
Yet no one gave interest in it even tho everyone could see that he worked hours and hours on it. As if something was making them avoid looking the doll eye to eye, even when he placed the doll right in front of them they would see the doll and even with its light and cheerful smile on the face, there was not even a hint of interest.
"Ah… ah…" Your grandfather was brought back to reality when he head the small sound you made as you reached out for the doll only to be blocked by glass. "Wah… Ah…"
"Do you want it?" Your grandfather asked in surprise. "Uhn!" You continued to slam your chubby hand to the glass as if you could break it so that you finally hold the doll that was behind it.
Your grandfather was hesitant but something compelled him to open the glass as if something grabbed his wrist forcing him to move yet not so and take out the doll from its stand. Moving the doll near you, with one hand still holding Zhongli you reached out with your other hand.
There was guilt in your grandfather's heart yet his curiosity was unending as he gave the doll to you.
When the doll was placed on your arm, you soon fell asleep leaving your grandfather alone in the room.

Title: Seeking him
Character(s): Il Dottore (Genshin Impact) Warnings/tags: Haunted doll au: Fem!reader (child!reader), dark themes, obsession themes, platonic yandere au, tw horror: dark rooms, flickering lights, mannequins Really Dottore is a warning himself at this point...

"Hmmm so you are here… I am surprised that this is how we meet." You looked at the man while cyan hair and his eyes were covered by a mask. His tone was entertained with a tint of curiosity. Inside a room dark with only little light, you struggled to see him clearly.
"Doctor?" you called him out, scared of the dark where you thought the monster lay. You could not see who he was but when you saw red eyes you thought that maybe it was him.
"Mm.." It was a confirmation of who he was. Quickly you went to him grasping his jacket.
You couldnt see his reaction as you looked around you, the room was really to dark for a small child like you. “What are you doing dear?” He asked, looking at you. You looked up at the red eyes “I am scared of the sleep monster….” You told him.
You heard him scoff, laughing at your words as he patted your head. “There is no sleep monster here. No monster could ever take you away from me.” The gloved hand patted your head as you looked up at him. “So will you protect me?” You asked him.
His hand stopped patting you head at the question a long pause, only to again continued to pat your head. You thought that you saw a smile on his lips. “I wonder my dear.”
"Hmmm let's play a game dear." He said instead of answering, but it was enough for you to forget your fears excited that you would be able to play with one of your dolls. "How about hide and seek?" He asked.
"You wanna play with me?" Your eyes sparkled in delight unable to understand the grin on Dottore's face widened as he stared at you. "Yes, child."
"Where do we play? Who is the seeker?" You jumped a little unable to contain your excitement at the mention of games. "You will be the seeker and you have to come find the real me okay?" Dottore pointed at you, telling you that you would have to search for him.
"The real you?" You blinked confused at his words.
"Yes. Can you do that?"
You didn't understand what he meant by those words. You didn't understand but you nodded anyway determined to win the game.
Dottore laughed, so very entertained by your bright eyes, "Let's start then~. Close your eyes and count to three."
One.. two.... three
In the darkroom you were alone, the person that was right beside you had left you and disappeared.
You were alone.
You followed the little light that was in the room pushing to see it was door. Outside the dark room was a old old hallway, the wallpaper browning while the light yellow from the old lightbulb. It was scary for you.
Taking a step back, you thought of how you needed to find Dottore that you finally moved towards the hallway, leaving the room.
In the corridor you ran searching for him, looking for him in each room where the lock was open and not tightly shut. Some rooms were empty some rooms had tables or chairs but the walls were bare of any decoration. Some rooms were too dark, that you hesitate to step in.
It was till you found a room with a dying lamp right beside it was a table. And right in front of it was a familiar stature with cyan hair.
You found him! Running towards him you called hi name, the familiar cyan hair his back was facing at you looking at the table doing… something. You didn't care what he was doing, excited that you have won the game you ran towards him grabbing his white coat.
You watched him fall to the floor, separating into pieces.
His legs were first to go out when you watched as his knees fell apart. Next was the body and arms then the head. You stared at the detached hollow head and neck, his face towards you and his neck hollow inside as if he was no more than a puppet with his strings cut.
You didn't react all you did was stare at the body, a mannequin. You didn't understand what happened the ringing sounds in your ears were painful. It was hard to breathe.
"My it seems that found the wrong one." You watched as the mannequin's mouth move a smile gracing its face. You didn't say anything and it seems it didn't care. "You found the wrong one, my dear. I am still hiding somewhere. The game would not end till you find me after all."
You blinked at it, you could not see its eyes because of the mask that it wore. You saw Dottore’s eyes many times, and always commented that they looked similar to a white rabbit's eyes.
So pretty you always fawned at them.
You can't remember what color they were. Dizzy it made you as you tried to remember, your head felt like someonebodt took a needle to brain and started poking at it… you want it out. So you left the farther you were from the room the less the pain hurt.
You opened more doors, he wasn't there. Running you opened even more...nothing. You ran and ran begging for something... someone to help you find him. You begged him to come out and that you where scared and that you needed him.
Nothing.
Everything looked the same, all the colors and shapes repeating and the flickering light did not change.
You finally reached a room at the end of the hallway... What felt like you were running for hours you were finally reached the end.
You pushed the door and looked inside, dark you could not see anything till it suddenly become bright as the lights flickered on. Dottore was right in the middle of the room smiling at you. You dont remember was happened at that moment.
It was only silence in between your sniffles, your hand clenched tightly on his clothes almost scared that you would lose him. That you would forever be lost.
"It seems that you found me. Congratulations dear."
When you woke up you felt your heart beat loudly in your chest. The uncomfortable feeling was unfamiliar but you didn't understand it. You didn't understand the fear in your heart, the haunting nightmare that you dreamt of. Your room dark as the sun has yet to rise.
You are not alone.

In Diluc's old scenario in the doll au, there was a kidnapping incident. Brainrot about how it was the one day wherein MC did not bring any of the dolls with her to the playground. Brainrot on how the dolls find her, save her, and distribute "justice" on the imbeciles that dared take her. I can see that as the first time some of them came close to being a real person for a moment (maybe Diluc and Kaeya since it was originally their scenario), as they covered MC's eyes and ears while humming a lullaby to soothe her to sleep. I wanna know how each of the dolls would enact their wrath, though we all know it would end the same lmao
☆Starlight Anon
Ohhh lmao hmmm well it wasn't on purpose when you left your dolls. You were sound asleep early in the morning when your parents came to your room to get you ready to head to your aunt's home. Yet instead of waking you up your father just couldn't bare to wake you up like this when you were so peaceful in your dreams. Not when you are also gonna sleep in the car.
Taking you in his arms care not to wake you up he took you away, as eyes watched him close the door of your room.
It wasn't like it was supposed to happen, dear your parents were so frightened. Your father was sensitive as he burst into anger when the police told him that you definitely weren't at the market. "OF COURSE SHE ISN'T! I TOLD YOU I LOOKED EVERYWHERE FOR HER!!" Your father yelled, and your mother was crying in the background supported by your aunt.
It was just a moment when they removed their eyes from you. Your aunt wanted them to head to the market for a moment just to pick up one or two groceries. And you who were awake and inside the pushcart, you were angry that your parents didn't bring your dolls with you, your hands crossed you stayed still in the cart.
Your lying form in the back of the kidnapper's car, the car speeding away from the mart. You were forced asleep, the man creeping both behind your parents' back and yours.
This kidnapper shouldn't have don't that.
Now it depends on who gets to you first really... well more like it depends on who gets to the kidnapper first. It was a kind of sense that these dolls have or maybe their eyes were already watching you from the start.
The kidnapper had just moved you to an abandoned storage building planning to sell you to whoever was coming. When they hear the sounds of movement. It wasn't human steps, they were too small probably mice than anything but it already didn't feel right.
Each doll has its unique punishments yet not one of them was kind. If Kazuha was the one who got to the kidnapper it would have felt that the wind was slashing the kidnapper into small yet somewhat deep cuts in his skin. The kidnapper would stare at their skin as they blink to see blood leaking from the cuts all over their body and then blink again to see that nothing was there yet... the pain was still there.
Suffocation as you feel your skin ripping, it was as if it was getting sucked into a black hole. The kidnapper would feel like their muscles were exposed as they begged for help but no one could hear him as his voice could create no sound. It was unusual for Venti to reach the kidnapper first as even before Zhongli was the one who would always get to someone or something before him. He was usually the one humming tunes in your ears, to cover your eyes away from the gore if it were to happen so. (Not that it happened before, you the center of bad luck would never remember them nor will anyone but lifeless eyes.)
Childe and Xiao would be similar if they were allowed to kill the man, they usually overdo it sometimes. As the kidnapper had to deal with monsters either ripping them piece by piece or another kind of monster stabbing spears into the person twisting and turning the spears that were deep in the wounds.
It was never real, most of the time if they could it would have been. They would never allow the kidnapper to be killed so soon, but it felt just as real if not more painful than reality. This wasn't fair nor it was just. How boulders would crush every bone in their body yet their body could constantly generate itself only to be crushed again. How fire would burn every single part of their body leaving him nothing more than a blackened corps barely breathing. How water drowned them, a rope tied to their neck dragging them deeper and deeper into the water as they stare up into the surface begging to be released from it.
Skin having boils or greenish slush bubbles started to grow to start from the legs, then to the hands, body, face then the neck. As they hear a thrilled laughing sound or dead eyes looking at them as if instead of needles it was plants that were the cause of it.
In the end, they just wanted to die, yet they could not... not even if they tried to take out a dagger and try to stab themselves not even when the whole building shook as none of the falling mental roof hit them. It was as if it was on purpose that this was happening yet at the same time they saw it... they saw you so peacefully sleeping on the side a little farther away... safe. In their mind, it just clicked what happened.
You had no recollection of what happened this time again, woke up in your family's arms they cried holding you so tight as if you would disappear again if they did not. You were at the hospital, having to do a small check-up to make sure the kidnapper didn't do anything to you. Looking at your crying parents, you looked to your side to see some of your dolls right beside your bed lying lifelessly on the bedstand all looking at you.

You were delighted when you received the doll house, old and a little battered but with a bit of cleaning it was as good as knew.
You adored the cute wallpaper it had a little yellowed over time but it was alright. The small scratches on the walls and plastic and wood furniture you didn't mind. The whole thing felt homely in your eyes like the furniture in your own home! You were just so excited to show this doll house to your dolls, you knew that would absolutely love it.
It was so hard to sleep that day when your father dragged you away holding you under your armpits as he played airplane with you landing gently on the bed. "You better sleep princess." He told you "Your dolls are worried that you are not sleeping right now when you have to grow big and strong!"
"But I want to play a little more?"
"Tomorrow alright? You will have all the time tomorrow to play with them since it is the weekend."
You pouted at your father, but instead of begging him for a little more time, you pulled the blankets with a small mischievous smile on your face.
"Good night!"
"Good night love."
You closed your eyes even before your father turned off the light, you acted like you are asleep when he closed the door till you heard the door of your parent's room shut when you opened your eyes again and sneakily left the bed.
Tip-toeing to the doll house you looked at your dolls all sitting down and standing somewhere in the house and outside you grabbed two particular dolls that have been with you almost since day one you were born.
"I want to play a little more!" You whispered loudly at your dolls a grin plastered on your face thinking about how sneaky you were hiding from your parents.
Whispers you played with your dolls, as your eyes got used to the dark. You didn't know how much time has passed as you slowly close your eyes right beside the doll house with your dolls right beside you.
Always.
The darkness was calm letting you sleep in silence till you heard a sound of a harp that slowly rose you back awake. Still sleepy but you were curious about the smell of fresh meadow and soil.
Opening your eyes you were under a tree. Right beside it was a house so familiar yet not. It confused you, unable to pinpoint where you saw that house before.
Where are you?
"Greeting little ___!" We finally meet~!" You heard a voice sing to you. Old, you thought not someone your age but with a bit of tinkle in it. It was a familiar voice yet you do not remember where you ever heard of the voice.
Where was it from?
"I am over here ___!" Again the voice looking up the trees you noticed a man so similar to one of your dolls. Green eyes had a slight glow in them as they stared back at you.
You gasp asking if he was your doll Venti. "Venti?"
"Hm~hm. The one and only." He told you with a smile. He was high up in the trees holding a harp, jumping down he landed softly right next to you.
The closer he got to you noticed he was not human. Not really.. he looked more cartoonish sometimes yet at the same time too realistic. Dizzy it made you as you tried to rub your eyes to rid of the confusing almost hazy sight. His hands were human, realistic when you saw the hard skin when he played the harp. But sometimes you could see lines between the joints.
It wasn't really odd. It was but you were just too excited! Even when your head was dizzy somehow you understood, understood that your dolls were actually talking to you!
“Now I can carry you!” You yelped when arms suddenly wrapped around pulling you in the air. Looking at your back you saw Venti again holding you as he twirled around. You almost felt like you were floating. “Up, up! Up into the air!”
"You shouldn't scare her." This time it was a deeper voice, too deep to be Venti's yet still a voice familiar in your mind. You watched as Venti's hug lighten a bit less suffocating than before less harsh. You watched him look to the side pouting at someone when you followed his gaze your eyes widen at the familiar golden eyes that belonged to a certain doll that have been with your whole life.
"Zhongli!!" You cried in excitement, you lightly pushed Venti's arms wanting to be placed down. Unable to hold you when you were adamant he had no choice but to place you down. "H-Hey!"
"Zhongli!"
Maybe it was already planned it could look somewhat like it when you ran towards Zhongli and jumped into his arms who was already to catch you. "It has been a while little one." His eyes affectionately looked at you. "Zhongli is so tall!! Taller than before." You said raising your hand up to his head as if to measure his height when you were carried in his arms.
His chuckles were soft yet the vibrations felt like they were on your ears making them feel itchy.
"No fair, how come you get a hug like that? I too have been with _____ for a long time too!" Venti's voice was playful with a tint of frustration that he wasn't able to mask, you saw the smile on Zhongli's face patting your head as you continued to stare at him.
Too human but not.. yet he too made you dizzy.

It was interesting how your grandfather would watch you head to the storage room where you found one of your dolls Childe only to come back finding another... and another and another... Ones that he thought were lost if not stolen.
Ones that wanted to hide from the world from him. They showed themselves to you.
You would consider these dolls some sort of set really as you ask your grandfather to make dresses for them. While he wasn't necessarily able to make a whole outfit for them, he made a winter themed jacket for each doll. White and silver, you absolutely loved the jackets making each of them wear their jackets as you roleplayed them having a meeting.
It was a beg of forgiveness.
You found 11 of them in total yet your grandfather was sure that you would find more.
Your parents were worried as they watch your collection of dolls grow. They ask your grandfather if this was really alright? If it was really okay for you to have these many dolls, would it not affect his business and time and time again he told your parent that it was alright.
Alright. Alright as in that he wouldn't dare touch those dolls ever again, alright as in that he was using you as a scapegoat. Because out of many dolls these 11 were too…. much.
They will kill him if they were forced into his hands again.
Dangerous that their cores were erratic and unstable. Locked up in a box or hidden in a corner for too long, almost forever forgotten.
Each looking for a way to either take revenge or vomit the negative pent-up emotions somewhere or to someone. You didn't understand when your grandfather suddenly collapsed to one knee on the floor so suddenly as you talked about the new doll you found in a box with many other broken dolls, porcelain cracked or a part of them shattered.
Dottore you named it, yet you also gave it another nickname Doctor. It was funny to you because in your head he was a scientist that like to help people. It felt almost natural to you that he was yet your thoughts left you when you saw your grandfather on the floor desperately trying to breathe as he held on to his neck.
Help him
He didn't show you his neck for a while after that incident, keeping it covered and the following days he chose to wear something to hide it from everyone and even your concerned parents.
Yet you saw a small glimpse of it. When he tried to run away to his room that day he almost fell to the floor. Something… A line around his neck, blueish purple.
You watched your grandfather as he chatted with one of his clients, a concerned look on their faces when they saw the bandage wrapped around his neck. And the smile that strangely looked fake to you as he told them he was okay.
You wanted to say something, you want to do something. It took one step when your arm was suddenly grabbed roughly pulling you a few steps back. You yelped in shock yet there was no sound that escaped your small mouth.
"Shhhhh"
"Huh?"
You looked back yet nothing was there. Instead only darkness, a shadow of an empty hallway. Holding tightly to Doctor you walked deeper into the darkness.

"Don't touch me!" His shriek was painful to your ears, echoing. His face was cracked, so close to breaking and his eyes were hostile toward a small child that stared at him in both fear and worry.
That was all you remember from your dream when everything went black as something or someone held you so tightly. Your shoulder wet from tears all gone the moment you woke up that morning.
Scaramouche technically had one owner your grandfather recalled. A young man kind and artistic had grown interested in the doll on the shelf and bought him at a high price. Your grandfather had thought that this particular doll had found a true home but much like many dolls some return back to him. This was no different... except he came back a little cracked and a little broken.
Your grandfather wanted to fix the doll but it was difficult when he started to have horrible migraines when he was anywhere near the doll so in the end he placed it in storage and left. He thought that he could just come back and fix the porcelain doll when it calmed down and feels better again.
Who would have thought that it would disappear the next day as if it was hiding from him?
Your grandfather looked at the doll on the table as your mother started cleaning your face from the dust you collected on your face and clothes.
You went back there again it seems.
Your grandfather had noticed that you would sometimes disappear to the second storage room he rarely goes in unlike the first. The first time you went there you found a doll you nicknamed Childe. The next time you went there you found a doll he named La Signora long ago.
He went back there again hoping to find dolls that disappeared from his sight. Yet it seems they still wish to stay hidden from his eyes for all he found were empty boxes filled to the brim with dead shells of what was once supposed to be beautiful.
All he saw was a wall of black.
Yet it seems they have become rather curious about you. Seeing that you would come back always with another doll in your hands. They were curious about some more obsessed than others but they all follow the same path.
You were not looking, when your grandfather reached for the doll only to stop when he felt a sting on his finger. Pulling his hand away he watched as a drop of liquid fell to the floor leaving red.
So much resentment was already built up it seems. Any closer and he was sure that it would be his neck next.
"Grandpa?" A small innocent voice called out to him. Your grandfather's tired eyes looked at you who was staring at his hand.
"Hmmm? What is the matter?"
"There is red liquid on your hand. The same color as that time I tripped on my knees at the playground." You stated, walking closer to him.
"I see.. that must have hurt." Your grandfather's voice was solemn without a hint of worry but you didn't realize it as you continued to stare at the blood on his finger. Looking at your grandfather in his eyes you grinned "It hurt a lot!"
"It must hurt for you too." Your focus was back on his hand again, looking at his cut finger he wondered what to say but instead looked at the doll.
"So where did you find that doll?"
"Hmmm?" You looked at the doll that was on top of the table staring at you two. Watching you hop towards it your grandfather wondered what will happen. Grasping the doll placing it in your arms almost babying it.  "I don't know... I don't remember." Your face squinted as if you were thinking hard about where you found this doll but your mind was blank.
"He is a very pretty doll."
"Yes... he is very beautiful."
"Do you know his name?" Your grandfather asked, this answer you must know when your face brightens.
"His name is Scawamosh!"

I really adore your haunted doll au! It's just a sweet story if you can ignore the fact that the doll is a yandere 😅. But overall, it's such an adorable story!
I have a brainrots or more like a scenario. What if when Y/n is been left alone at the house because her parents need to work some overtime. Then there is an intruder, who comes inside the house either to steal or kidnap her for some ransom money.
Sweet Y/n got curious by the weird sound but when they want to go check it out. One of the dolls (maybe Zhongli, Kazuha, or Venti) whispers to her not to do it and ignore the sound. While the rest of the doll going to go and handle the matter as subtly as possible.
And a little question from me. Can the doll move or have something like an astral projection in the real life? You know like in one of your stories (Dottore), they can even yank you away from certain places.
Genshin haunted dolls au;; and by that, I really mean horror, fem!child!reader, platonic yandere kind of au
Lowkey, I am not sure if this is really a sweet kind of story when deaths and horror are littered every with only you blind to everything. You didn't understand how everything didn't make sense, how dolls were able to speak when they shouldn't. When your grandfather always looked so depressed and so full of anxiety. When he looked so calm at first then begging your forgiveness, face full of fear and terror.
It was just an unlucky day in the end. Alone at home, you were chatting with your dolls asking them if they could sing for you! You can turn on the radio to play a song for them if they do!!
Silence with only your voice you suddenly heard something from outside your room.
You looked at the door, wondering if you heard something wrong but the sounds come back the dragging sound of furniture moving. You wondered if your parents were back so soon from the neighbor's house right next to yours.
You wanted to go to them yet before you could your hand was yanked by something... by nothing. The stronger grip that was there before disappeared immediately. Right in for of your dolls.
Stay here. Stay here.
Don't go.
Play with us! Play with me.
Shhhhh....
You looked at your dolls listening to their voice as you felt something touch your hair then your ears covering it. You listened to hum, multiple voices humming unfamiliar songs yet you can't help but gasp.
You tried to follow them unable to hear the screaming and anguish of the now blind and deaf. The sound of objects being thrown and glass shattering. The begging you could not hear, the banging in the walls and trashing you could not hear.
Your parents quickly showed up, when they heard the sound along with your neighbors. The door was open and everything was thrown everywhere. A mess. Yet they cannot help but stare at the man.
A pitiful man looking at an empty wall begging to live. The soft begging, as snot and tears leaked yet ignored as the man continued to beg and beg.... and beg.. and beg... he too could not hear anything but a silent sound.
The police were quickly involved, but the man continued to beg for their life. Yet they were unsure of what to say when they asked about a small girl who was in the house.
The neighbors told them about a small girl who hummed alone in her room as if it was silent. The bright smile that was given to them as if there was no one in anguish in the next room.
You never were told of what happened, nor the news that the man died in his jail cell a few days later, it was only then his begging silenced.

As for your question.... who knows?

It was that one time when your father’s friend decided that he should give you the doll house. Cleaning his garage he saw an old house that once belonged to his daughter. It was a big house around the size of a one-person couch that he custom-made for his daughter back then.
His daughter absolutely loved that dollhouse. Always excited to play with it after school playing princess and tea, singing competitions and more. She treasured that doll house...
Well till she started screaming, begging her parents late at night to get that house away from her. Tears were in her eyes as she cried and cried. She didn't stop crying till he had to take the house to the garage. His little daughter stopped crying after that, her eyes red and raw from the constant rubbing but she never went to the garage where she knew the doll house was. Even after she has become an adult she never took a step toward that room.
“My little girl also used to love dolls, had a collection of them and asked me to get her a costume doll house made on her birthday.” He told your dad, about the house planning finally get rid of it. Your dad had a contemplated look thinking about you and how you treasure your dolls.
“It seems that she grew out of that phase and while we were able to sell most of the dolls or give them away.” your dad's friend continued, “Nobody really wanted that house, and it was left rotting in the garage. So I am asking if your daughter wants the toy house."
"So how about it?"
The glee on your face was so obvious when you saw the doll house your father was carrying. Your mother was shocked when she saw it clearly not told beforehand about it but what she could when you refuse to have it returned and cling to the dust thing.
You played with the doll house often and while your mother wasn't really happy but instead of nagging your dad for bringing such a dirty thing, she helped you clean the house. Your father was satisfied that you were happy as you talked to your dolls that now they have a home too.
Your parents watched you show the house to your dolls acting as if you were a seller trying to show off just how amazing this toy house was. Your parents chuckled at your enthusiasm.
If they have known. If only they have known... they would have not accepted this horrid thing into the house. Would rather burn the whole house along with the other dolls just to keep you safe.
But they didn't know, instead... they just smiled.
They didn't know that when you told them that your dolls can finally talk and that those were not dreams or something of the imagination but something so real. Something craving for their little daughter's soul.
How you describe each doll's personality and quirks were too detailed... too much for a child to make up on the fly. Sometimes they thought that maybe you could become a writer, when you spoke about the poems that your doll Kazuha had gifted to you thinking they were your own thoughts when it was not.
But then... how you started to know more about things they didn't know.
Did you learn this all from kid cartoons? Or did you have a friend who was interested in small random facts and dumped it all on you.
Their smiles slowly started to strain a bit when they watch you talk more and more about these imaginary friendships you made with the dolls.
When your mother was supposed to teach you math, like addition and subtraction and timetables you told her that you already knew and studied with the help of dolls. Were you just trying to run away or were you serious...?
She wasn't sure what to think when she saw that in fact, you knew what you were doing already. The answers are all circled as corrected when she gave you a little exam.
Your father was surprised when he took you to the cookies aisle at the marker telling you to pick something you would dully tell him that nothing was yummy compared to the food that your dolls made. Your father chalked it up to your imagination being so bright that you could even taste flavors in them.
He didn't understand a child's mind too well. It has been too long after all. You still grabbed some sweets telling him that you want to share something with them again much to your father's confusion....
Then again kids were hard to understand...
You tend to get lost often yet somehow when you have a certain doll if they were not mistaken called Kazuha. You would always find them soon after, surprising them by calling them from behind. In markets and malls, you would call out to them from behind as they were desperately searching for you when you suddenly disappeared.
You were too quiet, how you stared at your parents was too eerie... creepy...
All kids do that... naughty kids and if not that curious ones. Everyone dismissed your parent's worry when they tried to open up to them telling them it was just kids being kids. You know how creative kids can get?
It should be fine, right? After all, when they look at your smiling face full of happiness and you played in the dollhouse with your dolls they could not see anything wrong with it.
They choose to ignore it when they tried to reach you only to touch the wind as their hand passed through you yet the next time, panic they tried you again this time able to. They choose to be ignorant to the fact that you sometimes feel like frost when they touch you.
How many times your mother got small cuts from something sharp on the doll house cutting her fingers when she tried to clean it. Hostile, the eyes of the dolls were when you were at school, your dad rubbed his eyes to get a proper look only see... nothing.
Normal...
They wish they didn't see anything, didn't notice anything, that they were a normal family. Yet sometimes your mother would softly cry in your parent's bedroom away from your eyes or how your father sometimes was more prone to anger because he was too stressed.
They are scared.

Since the anons feel that the dollhouse au is too cute to be real horror, I shall try to submit more scary yandere asks. I already gave you the analog horror idea. Now, imagine Toy Story with a twist. When it comes to dolls, kids like to roleplay and such. As a little girl, MC has gone through all the tropes—especially the Prince Charming and Fairy Tales. Imagine if she ends up inviting or being invited by a playmate and said playmate ends up taking the roles of that some dolls consider to be theirs alone??? Also, MC starts missing special days that she dubs "costume day" where she makes new outfits for the dolls or "tea party day" where she just sings/dances with the dolls while having a tea party. At first, they tolerate it since she's happy and they still get to participate in playtime...but when that playmate starts getting cocky and makes fun of MC??? The chaos, the scheming...that kid will never have a peaceful life, or have a life at all by the time he gets back home.
Three days later, that playmate is moving away with their family but then got involved in a car accident. Police says faulty brakes are to blame. How tragic.
☆Starlight Anon
Continuation: Better yet in that childhood playmate asks is if the kid remained sincerely but the dolls got annoyed anyway because...well, they're all possessive yanderes for MC lol Warnings: Blood, violence, horror, child's death (all in a nightmare.. technically) dead dove do not eat, read at your own risk. Genshin haunted dolls au [Fem!child!reader]

Well, it looked innocent enough? Your new friend was an attention seeker even at a young age she was proud and maybe a bit arrogant but hey she was just a kid.
When she told you about many things she knew and did and showed you things that made your eyes sparkle you thought that she was so cool, that she was amazing! You tried to come into her life finding her so amazing and she let you with a smug smile.
The relationship was cute really, the way you would follow her wherever she went in the school. She was your best friend or that was supposed to be the case. She was a spoiled girl, she wanted everything for herself, the play dates of roleplay games you and her played all had her become the princess or the lady while you were either the prince or the maid that was supposed to save her or serve her.
She would never let you become the princess of the story, even if you want to be even if you voice it she would not give it to you. Even if your parents saw it, their mother didn't know what to do with her while your mother would say that it was all right. But you can also see the concern she had looking over you.
But you liked her... you like her as a friend so you can't help but stick to her. She was so cool really.
Even as she took everything from your small hands.
Yet it seems there was a tipping point, it was bound to happen one day or another she only continued to grow hotty and selfish. It was that time when you were playing at the playground sandbox, you and she were playing with your dolls something about princess and knights with her own doll. As the princess, she commanded the attention of all the knights to her telling them that they should fall for her looks and charms. That they must swear an oath to her as the princess to protect her.
It was slowly getting dark when both yours and her parents called you and her telling you that you need to go back home now. Getting up you tried to take your dolls back but it seems that she started to take a liking to a few of them refusing to give them back to you.
"Give them back." You asked, so close to crying. "Don't be a crybaby I am just borrowing your dolls." She huffed as she held on to your dear dolls close. You didn't understand why she was taking your dolls when you told her no but she kept on insisting that she was just borrowing them to continue the roleplay back at her home.
Before you could do anything she was running back to her mother, who asked what those dolls were and why she has them. "Oh, ______ let me borrow them."
Your mother found you sniffling in the sandbox, crying in her arms you told her what happened.
However it was too late to get them back, your mother would try to get them back but she didn't have the phone number of the girl's mother nor does she know where does that girl live.
She told you that she would try to get them the next day yet that never happened.
Her father had somehow found your home past midnight and dropped off the dolls, apologizing to you and your family for his daughter and coming so late in the night. While he would have given these dolls later at a more appropriate time his daughter has been screaming ever since midnight.
She continued to chant at the dolls to get away from her, throwing them to the farthest corner. They tried to do everything to calm the girl down but she kept of screeching that it hurts and to make the pain stop. They could not calm her down and this was the last thing they thought of. Your parents showed concern for the tired man and thanked him for giving them back your dolls. You were also happy that your dolls have been returned but even you were concerned to what happened to your friend.
But she didn't come to school the next day but you heard the teachers whisper among each other that she was at the hospital, from screaming so much to the point of coughing out blood. Nothing was working and she kept on begging someone whom the parents and doctors don't know to leave her, to let her go.
You don't need to know really. It was her fault after all.
Dressed in a beautiful princess dress and a tiara on her head her stomach was decorated with many swords pierced through her. Over and over she would be a prince to nothing but a corps on the ground.
Over and over faceless knights stabbed her stomach within a dreary castle. She was all alone, she could not see reality even with her eyes open. She could not see the white walls of the hospital but a brick wall covered in blood as another sword price through her abdomen.
So matter how many swords pierced her there was always room for one more.
The pain doesn't numb at all, and when the small girl screamed again and again to stop it never did.

Note: What a dream... if she heals she won't be wearing any more princess dresses or tiaras looking at them would probably make her sick

Thoma was an interesting case. Your grandfather had created him with the inspiration of Germany. The doll had a light glow not as strong as most yet it was still there, a certain beauty in it. The doll, Thoma was its name, was carefully crafted and when he was finally done your grandfather carefully choose the outfit of the doll.
Most dolls always enjoyed this process, finally created they could play dress-up and create themselves a face or mask. Some wished to have a princess like dress, while others choose a more elegant look. Others choose a more wild fashion for them while others had a sharper look.
It was the last step to make their glows a little stronger, to give them a face of who they were even without a name.
Yet Thoma was never satisfied with anything your grandfather presented to him. Multiple outfits he presented or drew yet the doll never liked it.
Well rather than dislike, it was more so that the doll just wasn't content.
It was only later when your grandfather was dressing another doll, a doll with blue hair and dark blue eyes, a family set did he notice a small curious glow coming from the doll he was having trouble with.
Thoma was curious about the clothes that your grandfather was holding and when your grandfather presented them to him. The soft glow shined a little brighter.
Thoma was a beautiful doll, having a boyish smile that was charming and cute. But in the eyes of many collectors, he wasn't as pretty or unique as the other dolls... moving towards another doll with more interest.
Your grandfather watched time and time again as people even children pass the doll by in favor of something else or getting something custom made.
One year turned to two and two turned to more- your grandfather was cautious as he approached that doll every day to clean it up or check if anything was out of place.
It was weird that everywhere around that doll was always clean and tidy with a sight of dust while others right beside it became dusty. There was a certain hope in the doll your grandfather noticed, even after years of waiting and waiting it was still looking forward to a prospect of a home.
But things can't always be so hopeful forever, for even people would lose hope after so long and fall down.
Your grandfather shouldn't have seen it coming, yet at the same time what could he do?
What was he supposed to do when he woke up from a nightmare leaving him hearing nothing but the sounds of his heartbeats and the memory of a lonely voice that slowly turned to painful ringing to the ears?
How something felt like was stabbing his chest with the question why cust circling in his mind, in front of him. The question why he isn't picked, why is he left alone like this, why... why? why?? WHY!?!
It was like a wall of text where ever your grandfather looked it was just why, black and white whys covered his sight as if he was drowning in it. How in front of him was a figure made out of scratched words of loneliness, hope, desperation and pain.
It was hard to breathe when the figure grabbed your father by the neck choking him, begging him asking him why was he like this as if it didn't understand what it did wrong.
The sounds of shouting and yelling small yet slowly grew louder and louder, made your grandfather feel like his ears were bursting as he tried to remove the figure's hands from his neck only to drag the ragged letters that cut your grandfather's skin.
Even when your grandfather woke up when he looked in the mirror. When nothing was there, his neck was sore and ached, his hand itchy from getting cut leaving a numb pain.
He didn't know when he moved from his room to the shop, where so many dolls lined up resting and watching him.
Was it because he was tired? Because the weight on his shoulder felt heavy than before? Was someone holding him down? He was so close, so close to throwing the doll to the ground, one doll. Please just one doll…
“Grandpa?” Your grandfather flinched at the sound, his ears sensitive from the quietness of his shop that was yet to open. You were looking at your grandfather sleepily unable to see your grandfather's expression as you rubbed your eyes with your hand.
It happened so suddenly... when your eyes landed on the doll in your grandfather's hand your eyes suddenly awake in interest trotting up to him.
Who is this you asked, and your grandfather silently stared at you... and unable to give an excuse just told you who the doll was... Thoma was his name, he was a doll that was on the shelves for a long time and your grandfather didn't know what to do with him.
He was so close to shattering it.
He wasn't sure if he should stop you when you suddenly spoke out loud that you will buy him then! You will give him a home and give that doll many cuddles and smooches!
Your grandfather was a tired man, the pain in his neck still fresh on his mind made it hard to breathe so he lets you do as you please. Too tired to say no anymore...
He never did, he was too much of a coward.
Yet you surprised him when you push the doll away when he gave it to you, “Did you not want him?” your grandfather ask, but you replied that you wanted to buy the doll from him!
“You don't have to do that…” Your grandfather told you that it was okay to take the doll but again you declined.
You told your grandfather that you want the price of the doll and that you will work to buy the doll from him so that you can give Thoma the experience of being wanted. It was a weird way of putting it, something only a child would say really but he let you do so telling you a price cheaper than anything he had ever sold.
He wanted to get rid of it.
To push everything in your small tiny hands all the nightmares and horrors that he had experienced, even as guilt ate him while he watched you do very simple chores to earn a bit of money he was still able to sleep at night.
When you finally gathered enough money for Thoma, your grandfather hesitantly held the doll not giving them to you. It was his last chance to take back such a fragile doll from you.
You hugged the doll in love and adoration, and all your grandfather did was watched.

Note: Hmmm in my head Thoma is the last doll you got from your grandfather. (technically... but that might change again later on-) Grandpa has too many dolls.

The sounds of the birds were gentle and soft as with the wind. The hand on your head was also warm, combing your hair with their hand.
"Oh, our little sleeping beauty finally woke." The voice was teasing as you slightly opened your eyes still sleepy. "I thought she would sleep a little bit more."
A little more awake you noticed your head was on someone's lap. Slowly you looked up wondering on who’s lap were you sleeping on squinting your eyes to look at them to see a familiar blue hair and a smug smile.
One of your dolls also had pretty hair and a pretty face.
You wondered if you saw two eyes yet when you tried to look again all you saw was one the other covered with a black eye patch on the middle a diamond intricately designed in gold.
You blink once and suddenly the eyepatch was gone and you saw a hole instear of an eye. You can't see how far it goes too dark too hollow to see as if no light can go in. As if the eyepatch was the entrance to nothing. You wondered what would happen if you fell.
Where would you go?
You blink again and the hole was gone covered again by the gold embroidery decorated the leather eyepatch. "Still sleepy little sleeping beauty? How cute." The soft voice said with a bit of amusement in his tone as he continued to comb your hair with his fingernails.
"...Kaeya?" You asked rubbing your eyes wondering if you actually saw a hole under his eyepatch when was that there. You dont remember seeing a hole instead of an eye on your Kaeya doll. When did it get there? "I am glad that you still remember." It was a cheerful tone, teasing.
A little more awake you looked at him taking in his appearance that was once a doll now human like his outline looked hazy as if the background was blurry as if telling you to only focus on him "Did Kaeya grew up? Zhongli and Venti also grew up. Are you like them?" You asked curiously, "Dear no, I always always like this. The same with Zhongli and Venti." Kaeya raised his hand to boop your nose.
You pouted at him, "No you used to be this small now you are big!" You made a motion of the doll size Kaeya you knew then motioned to him widening your arms to show that he was big.
Kaeya chuckled patting your head. "Our little sleeping beauty is smart."
"Why did you become big?" You asked him, staying still as he patted your head. "Why am I not allowed to dear? That is rather mean of you."
You shook your head, there was an excited spark in your eyes now finally wide awake. "No, I am happy!" You grinned.
"Hehe, it is because I want to meet my little creator." Kaeya finally told you, “You have always adored us so much. I made a wish to the star to finally be able to talk with you~”
"But grandpa was the one who made you?" You stated tilting your head. It was your grandfather who made them piece by piece, molding and carving were all done by your grandfather.
Kaeya just smiled at you, his smile hidden with secrets cruel and mean yet you only pouted at him.
You understood that his thoughts didn't change that he would not tell you why you were his creator, a teasing smile told you so.
Under a tree, you and Kaeya played. Questions about how he became… human was smoothly ignored as Kaeya would elegantly change the topic. That by playing with your hair and pinching your cheeks. You tried to stop him from playing with your cheeks but it seems that Kaeya had an odd fascination with them.
"Aww, did I overdid it? Dont be mad." He chuckled when you looked away from him annoyed as you sheild your cheeks away from him. "I am sorry dear it is just that your cheeks are so soft like bread. I wonder what would happen if I take a small bite out of them."
Your terrified face as you stepped away from him as if ready to make a run for it made him laugh. He told you it was a joke but his tone was suspicious.
The two of you played a little more, yet you wonder if you were just seeing things. When you blink instead of a meadow around you it was covered with snow but when you blink again the snow was gone with only the green grass and the lone tree.
When you and Kaeya were surrounded by white thorns that changed back to flowers the moment you blinked again. When you braided Kaeya's hair wondering how his smooth hair was suddenly covered by thorns curling around your hands and Kaeya's hair.
It hurt a little as the thorns light poked your hands, the thorns didn't draw blood from your skin but when you blinked and it was gone all that remained was an itchy feeling as you wondered if you saw right.
"Is something the matter dear?" Kaeya didn't look back at you as you already nagged him not to mess with the braid you were doing on his hair.
You didnt answer.
When the world around was spring on your legs white thorns curled around them.
