“Solas?“
“Yes, Vhenan."
“What are you drawing?“
He still has his eyes on the piece of parchment in front of him, but slows down the repetetive movements of his hand tracing the shapes on paper, as if that might offer him more time to find his answer. "Oh, just some practice. It helps me sort my thoughts," he says with the casual air of somebody trying to evade a question.
“Can I see, then?“
He glances up briefly and notices she has stopped reading her book on the early history of Neromanian magic. She has one elbow propped up on the table and rests her chin on her hand. She is looking at him expectantly, her book clearly forgotten.
He pauses the scratchy movements of his pencil and says rather hesitantly.
"It's not finished."
She leans forward a bit more, trying to catch a glimpse at his paper. He subtly angles it away from her. She might have barely noticed, had she not noted his newfound secrecy regarding his recent drawings. She has become increasingly curious over the past few weeks, and his forced casual demeanor after her question only fills her with more anticipation.
It makes her think of the first time he showed her his artwork. …
The first time she had walked into the rotunda in Skyhold and found Solas high up on the scaffolding with a paint brush in his hands and a concentrated look on his face, she was surprised to learn of his motivation.
"History needs to be documented," he had said when she asked him what he was working on.
After climbing down the scaffolding and taking a step back to admire the process of his work, he continued, "Not by the words of diplomats, but through the eyes of those skilled in artistry. Words will be forgotten, but images? Those will hold significance across time."
She had been moved then. By the bold lines in the fresco and the fierce look in his eyes as he regarded her as he spoke. Like she was someone worthy of admiration. Like he truly saw her. It reminded her of his words before their first kiss.
'You change everything.' He had said.
She didn't really believe him then. She didn't want to be put on a pedestal, far removed from the world and the simple and nomadic lifestyle of her clan that she was accustomed to. She missed roaming mountains and hills, not fighting blighted Templars and navigating treacherous games of power with nobles. That life had seemed like such a long time ago, even though it had barely been a year.
But perhaps she didn't need to suffer though all of this alone. She had her friends. Dorian with his jokes. Varric with his stories. Cassandra with her quiet support and camaderie. Iron Bull helping her with her fighting stances and teaching her new drinking games with Cullen. Even Cole, though he was still figuring out what the word friend even meant. She would help him with that, she had decided then. Friends; they made the aching pull of homesickness more bearable.
But Solas.
Who was he to her? She could call him her friend the supposed. She had the feeling they were becoming closer and yet there was an undeniable distance. Always leaving space for interpretation and mystery while never backing away from any of her questions. So much knowledge he shared, and still she had the feeling she barely knew him at all. He had slowly and unknowingly developed a talent for surprising her with new insights and he did so later again that same evening.
The next hour passed quickly while they were still talking about art and the different depictions of elven lore. He had stared at her intently for a moment, considering her.
"I want to show you something." he had said.
She never passed up an opportunity to learn more so she had indulged him, following him to a plain-looking crate to the side of the room. He removed the protective wards with a wave of his hand. He then uncovered some, by the looks of it, handbound books. He observed them one by one carefully, with a nod of acceptance when he seemingly found what he was looking for and handed her one of the books.
As she opened the first few pages she discovered they were sketchbooks filled with rough outlines in preparation for the next installment of the mural.
Excitedly he pointed to notes in the margin and spoke of where he learned the techniques for collecting and grinding his own pigments. There was a red ocre in the Western Approach that he had recently discovered on one of their missions which was apparently incredibly well suited for his purpose. At her encouragement he had shown her more of of his other drawings too. First of symbolism and color studies, but then more personal ones: of the views of the mountains from Skyhold, running Halla, drying herbs and even of some of the members of the inquisition she recognized.
In turn she told him about how she used to carve wood, especially when winters were rough and her clan was stuck in the same place for long waiting out the biting cold and punishing snow. To keep her fingers from freezing and her mind from wandering to dark places, she had started to carve.
"I haven't had the time since, well you know, this whole mess." she waved the fingers of her marked hand which flashed a sliver of green. Solas had looked thoughtful after her comment, almost like there was a tinge of regret behind his eyes.
The conversation steered in a different direction afterwards, like the seriousness of their predicament weighted more heavily on their shoulders than before. The mysterious books disappeared back into the chest and not long after she had excused herself and called it a night. Somehow she couldn't shake the feeling she had overstepped.
A few days later she returned from a short scouting mission. She climbed the steps to her sleeping quarters, exhausted. She hardly noticed there was an odd-shaped package leaning against her bedroom door until she almost stumbled over it. Her tiredness trading itself for curiosity, she moved to pick it up.
There was no note attached but once she unwrapped the bundle she discovered a beautiful and distinctive elven carving knife and a solid piece of oak wood.
She couldn't help the warm feeling that spread though her body, feeling the comforting weight of the wood and the cool metal of the knife in her hands.
….
She shakes her head as she's brought back to the present. That same rotunda they have since spend so much of their time together. Researching, reading and talking. There had been barely an evening where she didn't end up in the rotunda with Solas. At least when she wasn't away from Skyhold, trying to save the world on missions throughout Thedas.
She looks at Solas from her spot at the table with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
It takes a lot of effort to hide her smile.
Whith an amused tilt to the corner of her lips she says, "You know, Dorian told me he found some sketchbooks laying around, depicting a rather familiar elf. Anything you would know about that?"
Is he… Is he blushing?
"Um, Well you see." he cleares his throat trying to school his expression. "Those were private… And hidden for a reason."
She can't contain a smile. Solas flustered, that's a rare sight.
"You've seen them?" he askes quietly. She notices he has started fumbling with the edges of the paper. She didn't believe his ears could turn a brighter shade of pink.
"Maybe," she says while averting her eyes to the ceiling. She glances back to him out of the corner of her eyes.
Solas looks at her like she has grown an extra pair of ears.
She leans back in her chair and stretches out her legs comfortably under the table. Knowing she has him she doesn't want to push more and decides to spare him some of her teasing. She turns to look at him and softens her expression.
"I rather liked them."
Knowing that is probably not enough to explain why she had looked at his private belongings without permission and seeing the dumbfounded expression on his face slowly making space for embarrassment she decides to tell the whole story.
"I know shouldn't have overstepped, but Dorian said he had something urgent to discuss and before I was even halfway up the stairs he assaulted me with flying books, shouting about discovering my secret admirer. Either I would have stumbled to death or caught them. And, well… Once I started looking I couldn't look away… " she trails off with a slight tinge of shame in her voice.
"You liked them?“
She lookes at him, surprised by the hopefulness in his voice.
A wave of understanding washes over her.
He hid the drawings from her, not because he didn't want her to see them but because he was afraid of her rejection. Even though they had spent the last few months becoming more and more tangled up with each other, stealing fleeting glances and sometimes passionate kisses, they still hadn't really taken a moment to talk about what there was between them.
When she saw the drawings he made of her she had finally understood his interest in her was genuine and went beyond anything resembling a casual dalliance - something she can now confess to have been rather afraid of, because she had developed deeper feelings for him from the moment he started sharing detailed stories dreamt in the fade and his perspective on magic intertwined with life. And then there had been that first kiss… Wel let's just say she's in way too deep to turn back now.
And for all the effort he put into keeping emotional distance between them, he had apparently failed from the moment he had started putting her likeless on paper. For she could see the passion and emotion in the lines, soft shadows and hidden meanings. It made them stand out from all the other drawings she had seen by his hand.
What he couldn't yet put into words, he had found a different way of showing.
"Yes I-" suddenly feeling unsure she pauses for a moment and crosses her arms looking for the right words. "The drawings, they reminded me of who I could be." She takes a deep breath finds her courage and continues. "Someone who people will tell stories about. Not stories about Divine intervention, but of an elven woman's fight for justice. For a kinder world. Somehow I never really managed to see myself that way when I look in the mirror. But those drawings… I guess it's easier to understand who I've become by seeing myself through your eyes. To see the change I'm part of, but most of all to remind myself of where I came from."
She had uncrossed her arms and angled her body towards him over the table. A determined expression rests on her face. He hadn't taken his eyes of her from the moment she started talking.
He looks at her thoughtfully for a moment, considering his reply.
"Very well" he says while some of the tension visibly drains away from his body. She raises her eyebrows in question. "Then it's only time you started showing me your carvings in return. Some good blocks of wood have gone missing. I overheard Blackwall complaining about recently." He shares the accusations with a bemused smile on his lips.
Now it was her turn to blush.
"I was planning on showing you, but first I wanted to practice… " she trailed off her sentence, knowing she doesn't actually have a valid excuse for hiding it from him. And it was not like she hadn't backed him into a corner first.
Feeling relieved he wasn't pulling away at her recent discovery she changes her mind with newfound courage and stands up abruptly while extending her hand in invitation. The purpose of their late night reading session forgotten.
"You're right. And I'm willing to offer you a tour of my recent carving exploits, but only if you can refrain from commenting over the woodchips carpeting the floor." He starts to move as if to get up but she makes him pause as she isn't done yet. "But in turn I will pose for your next drawing." Solas looks at her confused for a moment, as if considering her question.
She pauzes for a moment and adds without hesitation.
"Naked."
"What?"
"That's right."
From a balcony upstairs they could hear some muffled movement followed by a familiar voice echoing down "You know Solas, if you're looking for nude models you only need to ask!"
"Dorian!" they say in unison, horrified.
Solas quickly tucks the sketches under his arm and stands up to grasp her hand, surprising her by pulling her close so fast she has to steady herself with her other hand landing on his chest.
Only a breath away from her ear he says softly so only she can hear.
"It seems like you found yourself a deal, ma Vhenan."
She squeezes his hand in response and when she looks at him there isn't a hint of his previous embarrassment. Instead there is a look of hunger and challenge in his eyes. It's so easy then, to lean over and kiss him, her lips a promise and Dorian's earlier interuption temporarily forgotten. Before she can get lost in the soft press of his lips she pulls back and feels a delighted thrill in the way he slightly chases them as she takes a step back. With a teasing smile on her lips she tugs on his hand bringing him back to reality and encouraging him to follow. As they make their way quietly towards the door she throws a judgemental look over her shoulder towards where she imagines Dorian to be hiding.
She is just able to make out a muffled conversation on the first floor "… These lovesick fools seem to keep forgetting this is a public space, if they don't want an audience they should find a room!"
Not sure if she should be terribly embarrassed or slightly thankful for Dorians intervention she doesn't manage to hide her smile.
"Let's get out of here then." she says as they start to make their way through Skyhold.
He squeezes her hand.
"Gladly."

tsireya " that so sad just because you two are different"
lo'ak " ot okay it might sound sad to hear this but we became use to their behavior toward us"
sayoa " shame on them all for how they treat you it not fair"
tsireya " sayoa"
sayoa " I'm sorry but the great mother will not like this she didn't, teach her children to act like this"
y/n " it okay sayoa sayoa had nodded his head it seems like the four teens didn't like what had happen to the sully family and their friends.

tsireya " goodbye lo'ak and y/n"
twins " bye"
sayoa " yes goodbye y/n and loa'k ... y/n you did good today"
y/n " thank you" tonowari and his kids had soon left leaving the family alone, you had soon turned around to see your father and brother looking at you smiling.
lo'ak " you did goof today y/n"
Jake " thank you" the seem to be teasing you as you stood there blushing bright red, of embarrassment.
y/n " enough come on let brainstorm dinner"
Jake " yes sweetie"
lo'ak " this is funny I can't wait to tell spider" you rolled your eyes at lo'ak and helped the family make dinner, for the evening and have a good family conversation. It seems like everyone had a good day getting a feel of their new home, they even had time to talk with everyone else as well. There had been some thoughts on calling everyone at home, but there was no one answering once again.

Along For The Ride | Graham Dunne x Reader
A/N: Y'all need to prepare yourselves, this is as devastating as it gets. Also the CHOKEHOLD this man has over me. I'm posting an alternate version of the same prompt sometime later today, I had two ideas that I just couldn't merge.
Warnings: Groupie lifestyle, angst, implied sex, drug use, alcohol consumption, smoking, OD
Daisy Jones and The Six Masterlist
Tumblr media
Warren: Being on the road was fun, and it wasn't just because of the drugs and cheap booze. We had girls from thirty different directions coming at us. That had never happened before.
Eddie: The groupie scene was enjoyable, but I never really got into it. I'd see some of them, but I didn't take it to the level Warren or Graham did. One slept with every girl in a fifty mile radius and the other fell for one he couldn't have.
Warren: We had a few girls go to almost all of our concerts, at least the ones in the states. They couldn't all afford going overseas and we sure as hell weren't going to pay for it. There's no shortage of women who love a guy that can play the guitar, sing, or in my case, play the drums.
Eddie: Graham became infatuated with this one girl, Y/N, while we were touring. It was nice to see him actually get a girl, but he never shut up about it. It was enough to drive you crazy.
Graham: Y/N wasn't just a groupie. Not to me, at least. She was different.
Warren: The thing about groupies is that they only care about one thing: sex. I know from experience. That's not a complaint, by the way.
Graham: Y/N was only seventeen when I met her, and she had ready been through so much. I just wanted to help her.
Eddie: Graham thought he could "fix broken women". He was convinced. None of us had the heart to tell him that some women just don't want to be fixed.
Graham: She'd grown up loving music. In that way, she was just like us. The only difference is that she followed bands around. She got taken advantage of.
Warren: Y/N was a sweet girl. Easy on the eyes, had a fire to her. But she was sad. You could see it. Something wasn't right.
Graham: She sort of just melded right into the band. Started going on tours with us. She'd sit in the backseat with me, laying her head on my chest. It was a good feeling, being with a woman who saw you. Really saw you.
Eddie: Graham was caught up in his feelings for her. He didn't realize how self-destructive she was.
Graham: I found out she was addicted to coke not long after meeting her. She was doing lines in the bathroom while I slept in one of the hotels we were staying at. I begged her to stop, to think it through. I told her I'd be there to help her. She walked out.
Eddie: When I heard she had left, I wasn't surprised. That's what girls like her did. And when Graham told me what happened, I knew why she did.
Graham: I don't think anyone had ever told her they'd help her. It scared her.
Warren: It was quiet without her. Graham wasn't as chatty as he usually was, which was great for Billy, but it made tours boring.
Eddie: Graham started seeing Karen after Y/N left, something we didn't find out until much later. I think he was trying to heal from losing her. Not that he didn't love Karen, he did, but he was so lost. He really wanted to help her.
Graham: I found out she overdosed a few months after she left. I was devestated. The band had already split up, and music couldn't pull me out of that sinking feeling in my chest anymore.
Warren: I don't think he ever really got over her. Even now, she's in the back of his mind.
Graham: I started a foundation to help women struggling with addiction. We get them in counseling, room and board until they get a job that can support them, teach them life skills they may not have been taught when they were younger. It's all to prepare them for adulthood, even if theyre already in it.
Billy: One thing about Graham is that he's got a heart of gold. A part of me always knew it, but I never really acknowledged it. I'm proud of him, being able to turn something that overtook his mind into something that can help other women.
Graham: I don't want another girl's life lost to overdose or addiction. I don't think I could handle seeing it happen again. The band will always be an important part of my life, but I think the foundation is where my heart is.

⇢ 𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬 ; ; the night finally swindled into the shiny lights and the music lowered but just above everything, everyone else. a warm hand held yours softly as he gazed lovestruckly, eyes soft with his love and you take your first step together as a married couple.

diluc sighed softly against the shell of your ear, his voice light with love as he buried his face into your neck, the soft fabric of the dress you wore brushed his face roughly as he continued to bask in your warmth. an arm wrapped loosely around your waist and the other held in the hand you kept against your heart for him to feel it.
even as you live in this moment, even if your last name is ragnvindr now and even if he pledged his love to you for the rest of eternity. even if he was breathing at this moment, feeling you keep him close and sway to the song the bards sang, diluc could never believe his life took such a turn for the best. years ago if someone were to say that the young master were to be a happy married man to such a beautiful and outright angelic person such as yourself, diluc would have call them a madman and sunk further into his unstable lifestyle.
and yet, here was the man into his glory holding the lady he loved the most.
kaeya was proud of him, not that the captain with a lack of cavalry would admit to it, his brother did in fact grow. diluc never cared much for himself in the past, hair tied back so tight it had kaeya wondering how he was not loosing his hair. he looked terrible on his off days and didn't even bother to live outside work. but now, his older brother was living, the dark circles reduced to nearly nothing and groomed himself up nicely. diluc looked happy, and for that kaeya was too.
"now, i do certainly apologize for the interruption to the celebrations," jean's voice and the clinking of spoon to cup commanded the guests attention. there weren't many, only close friends and family members you bothered to share the news of to attended. "but, as in preparation with our kind bards, may the bride and groom please join me up here for the first dance?" she asked with a gentle tone of sweet adoration and love for her dear friends, jean herself couldn't believe this was happening in front of her eyes.
"ready, mr ragnvindr?" you murmured quietly, feeling his arm leave your body and press against your lower back. "of course, mrs ragnvindr," he played along as he walked up to jean with you beside him. the acting grandmaster nodded before lifting gloved hands to applaud while walking away.
stepping forward to face you, the red haired man lifting the hand you placed in his higher and his other on your waist. you raised a hand to his shoulder, straightening out the irritating wrinkle in the overcoat he wore before placing it firmly against him. diluc nodded over to the bards, they smiled and nodded back before they began playing the song of the first dance.
a simple waltz was the dance you decided to do, mostly because throughout the wedding planning storm, you didn't have much time to spend on practice of a different one and it was what diluc knew since his father had adelinde teach him. it was simple enough for you follow along.
diluc smiled softly before he began moving, stepping forward with you following his steps. the music swayed your bodies in a delicate melody of gentle lyres and flutes. each of the bards, no more than five of them volunteered to play music for the man who indirectly grew their careers (diluc still would pay each of other handsomely), hummed lowly a tune similar to the music they made. it surrounded the both of you, moving in sync as diluc guided most of your movements with his own.
"love you," you felt the words slip from your lips while the hand you had on his shoulder slid up to the nape of his neck pushing his head down to press your foreheads together. sighing softly before humming along with the music. "i love you too, darling." he pressed a kiss to your forehead before moving his arm tighter around your waist. his warmth smothered you, pleasant against the cooler winds of the night.
the fairy lights lit the scene so elegantly, hair shone golden, the beads of your dress and the shiny applicant of his suit caught the light. the music engulfed you in a world of your own, no one else mattered in the moment. only him, only you. the only thing missing was the crowns that would sit on both of your heads, shiny in colour but fit for the king and queen of mondstadt. albeit uncrowned, no one said otherwise.
"hey, love you so much dear."
soft chuckles and little mumbles of the guests caught vaguely diluc's attention, most of which were off comments of how beautiful a pair you made with him or how jealous someone was of either of you. but you didn't bother much, only moving your hand to his cheek and tilting the man to kiss you, ever tender, ever the loving person he was to do.
he could never stop thanking you for being his, for helping him break such a torturous routine that killed himself inside. but now he was living, by the side of his lover and proud of who he has grown into. proud of the person who he married and who looked after him through the rough times.

Walking through the red misty, desolate village on Dathomir, searching for Ventress, you can’t help but let your mind wonder. What would your life be like if you’d continued down the Sith path? Would you have still stuck with Echo? Would he have been able to tempt you to “come to the light side” as he put it? You’re almost certain that there’s no way in hell that you and Echo can work past this. You’re just too different.
But Maker, you already miss the warmth of his chest and the coolness of his metal limbs.
“Well, well, well.” You hear a familiar sultry voice purr. “Look who’s found me.”
“Ventress.” You smile politely, turning toward her.
“Don’t tell me you’ve tried to come and collect the bounty on me.” She chuckles, having her lightsabers ready to strike you down.
You shrug. “Thought about it.”
“And then realized it was a terrible idea?” She leans against a wall.
You stand across from her, at a safe length, in case she decides to try to kill you anyway. “I thought maybe we could stick together again?”
“Who are you running from?” She smirks, putting her lightsabers away.
With a sigh, you come and stand next to her against the stone wall.
“Who is he?” She asks. “Or she? Or they?”
She’s really enjoying this. Perhaps it just proves that you still aren’t cut out for this lifestyle.
“The clone I saved on Skako Minor…” You murmur, your thoughts going to his lips against your skin again.
If there
“Ah.” She hums. “And what happened?”
This is the most she’s ever asked you. Maybe she was going soft too. You didn’t dare tease her about it, though.
You look at her. “He couldn’t trust me. Couldn’t see past what I used to be.”
“Trust isn’t everything…” She shrugs with a teasing smirk and pulls herself off the wall, motioning for you to follow.
You quietly follow beside her, walking through the rundown village.
“I had a lover too, once…” She murmurs, thoughtfully. “His name was Quinlan. He was… a Jedi.”
Your eyes go wide at her confession. “What?”
“Don’t be so surprised someone could love me.” She half jokes.
“That’s not what I’m surprised about, Asajj.” You look at her. “You hate the Jedi…”
“That’s true. I did hate the Jedi. Good thing they’re not around anymore, right?” She stops as she comes to a cave-like structure.
Is this where she’s been hiding out? You remember the Nightsisters. They were supposedly witches, able to use dark magic.
“Back to your roots, hm?” You feel the cool stone wall.
“Har har.” She leads you to a large door and you watch as she pushes in on a rock that was otherwise hidden to the naked eye and the stone door opens.
You follow her through the door and what you find is shocking, to say the least. A large cavernous opening with stone structures with pools of water running around them. It looks like a mini city.
“Shortly before the end of the war… I brought Quinlan here. To teach him the ways of the dark side. I wanted to help him kill Dooku… But he wasn’t able to.” She looks down at the glowing blue water as she talks.
For the first time ever, you think she looks sad. But you don’t say anything.
“He wanted to further the Jedi mission after the fall of their precious order. I told him that wasn’t my path and we parted ways.” She looks up at you before continuing walking down the rock path toward one of the stone structures.
“I’m sorry.” You tell her as you walk up a set of stone stairs.
“I don’t want your pity.” She turns around at the top of the step to look down at you.
Holding your hands up in surrender. “It’s not pity. It’s compassion.”
“Yeah, well. Keep it at the door or go with it.” She continues walking until she reaches some sort of living space. “You can stay here for a few days if you want.”
“Thank you.” You nod.
She nods back and leaves you to your own devices.
Now what?
You hear your name and you look up in time to see Master Dooku shaking his head at you.
“Sorry, Master.” You stare down at your breakfast, sitting across from him at the abnormally long table.
“How am I to teach you if you do not focus?” He asks you.
“May I be excused?” You look up at him, angrily.
Dooku sighs and nods, waving you away. You quickly get up and walk out of the dining hall to the long hallway and to the lift. For the last couple days, all you’d been able to think about was the city, wanting to go for a walk through their markets, see their locals, taste their food… But Dooku had told you no.
Well, today is the day that you don’t care anymore. Yesterday had been the last straw where you’d decided to stop trying to please him. You needed to get out of the palace.
“Where are you going?” You hear a sultry voice behind you as you hop on one of the speeder bikes.
You turn to find Ventress leaning against the palace wall. “What does it matter?”
“You’re in a mood today.” She smirks. “Training didn’t go well yesterday?”
You roll your eyes and start the bike up, pulling away from the hangar, speeding away toward the city.
“Hungry?” Asajj asks you, offering you a bowl of some sort of soup.
You take it from her, nodding a thanks to her. She sits at the table across the room and you take the soup and join her, sitting on her right like you used to do when she lived in Dooku’s palace with you.
“Did you know who your parents were?” You ask her.
She pauses to look at you.
“Sorry. Never mind.” You continue eating your soup, looking down at the bowl.
Asajj lets out a soft sigh. “I did. They died when I was young. A warlord named Osika Kirske killed them. I was originally trained as a Jedi padawan… and then my Master was killed… So, I decided to walk the path of the dark side…”
You didn’t know that. Honestly, you used to be too afraid to ask her anything about herself, finding it best to just mind your business.
“Do you know about yours?” She asks.
“My parents?” You ask.
She nods but you shake your head.
“I do.” She murmurs.
“You… know about my parents?” You ask confused.
She nods again. “If you want to know…”
Do you want to know? Why would Ventress know about them? Why would she wait until now to say anything? A million questions run through your mind.
“I can see your little mind going to work. And before I say anything… You need to know a few things.” She starts. “One… I found out purely by accident. Two… when I did find out… I went to Dooku and he forbade me from telling you. Threatened me even.”
Why would he forbid her from telling you?
You think about it a few more moments while you finish eating. Pushing the bowl away, you look back up at Asajj.
“Alright… Tell me.” You sit up straighter, keeping a straight face.
She searches your eyes for a second, perhaps trying to decide if you’ll handle the news well.
“Your mother was the daughter of Jenza Dooku. The sister of Master Dooku.” She tells you, quietly.
Time seems to stop right then. Like everything just sort of slows down. Your heartbeat. Your blinking. Your brain…
“Wait… No…” You struggle to form words. “No, because then that would mean…”
“That Dooku was your great uncle, yes.” She takes a drink of her wine.
“And he knew.”
“He knew.”
You stand up abruptly, deciding to pace. Needing to move.
“There’s more.” She stands up with you, but slower.
That could only mean the news wasn’t good.
“What is it?”
You don’t miss the way that her eyes quickly glance to the saberstaff laying on the bed that you’d set it on earlier.
“What…” You start again, but she cuts you off.
“I killed her…” She looks at you.
You suppose you should feel anger… But only confusion courses through your veins. And then you realize why she glanced at your saber. She was afraid you’d try to attack her.
“Why?” You furrow your brows in frustration at your emotions.
“Dooku wanted her dead… She had planned to reveal his plans to the Republic… so he sent me to assassinate her… I… didn’t want to. But he threatened me. I-I told her I was sorry. Her last words to me were to protect you.” She murmurs.
As you stroll the streets of Carannia, just a ways away from the palace, you find the stress melting away from your body. As if you could breathe again for the first time. You even smile for what feels like the first time in days.
Watching as two children pass a ball back and forth to each other, you can’t help but chuckle when the older of the two kicks it and it goes between the younger’s legs, making the young one almost flip trying to catch it. Then, you find a food stand, immediately being drawn to the smell of whatever bird is roasting over the pit.
“I’ll take a bit of that, please.” You smile at the vendor.
He nods, smiling kindly as you hand him a few credits when he hands you the food.
“Make it two.” The sultry tone is behind you again and you can’t help the roll of your eyes.
“What are you doing here?” You ask Ventress, angrily. “Sent to retrieve me again?”
The vendor hands Ventress a small bowl of what you have and she tosses him a few credits, causing him to give her a dirty look. She winks at him and he immediately turns away from her.
“What do you think of this little market?” She asks.
“What are you doing here?” You ask her again.
“You’re crazy if you think that I’m going to let you wander off by yourself only for something to happen to Dooku’s little pet. He’d kill me.” She takes a bite of the food and then makes a face, dumping the rest of it in your bowl and tossing the paper to some random bystander.
“I’m not his pet.” You glare up at her.
She may be taller than you, more lethal than you, more crude than you… but you could be just as rude.
“So you’re not his pet. You’re still helpless.” She walks beside you as you look at all the vendor booths. “I saw your lessons yesterday and how they went. Imagine if someone like me attacked you right now.”
She more or less had a point… but you wouldn’t admit that to her. She ends up following beside you in silence and later, when you return to the palace and Dooku asks you where you’ve been, she tells him that she was trying to train you. It’s that moment that you realize she may not be all bad… That maybe you could even look up to her one day.
“I’ve… I’ve gotta go…” You back away from her.
She calls your name as you grab your staff and run out of the stone structure, back down the steps, and back toward the cave entrance where you came. You just need to get away from here… Away from her… You don’t know what to do or what to think. All you know is that you’ve just traveled all this way and you don’t even know if she was worth it…
She killed your grandmother. Asajj Ventress assassinated your grandmother. What are you supposed to do with that information? Seek revenge? You didn’t even know Jenza… You don’t know anything about your biological family…
As you walk back toward your ship, you see the Batch’s ship and then you see Echo waiting on the steps of their hatch and your chest tightens. He waited…
When he sees you, he immediately starts walking toward you. You know that you can’t tell him about your grandmother… about Ventress… you just can’t. He’ll deem her too dangerous and want to collect that bounty.
No, you need to lie…
“It’s been hours… You’re still here?” You ask him, when he reaches you.
“I couldn’t stand the thought of leaving you here, not knowing if you were alright. I figured if you weren’t back by nightfall, we’d come looking for you.” He tells you, still giving you some space.
You smile slightly at the sentiment. “Thank you.”
“Did you find her?” He asks.
“Only found an empty village.” You try to remain as close to the truth as possible, not wanting to lie to him.
He nods, accepting this. Anything you were feeling about Ventress or Jenza or Dooku gets pushed way down deep for now.
“I… I need to tell you something.” He murmurs, stepping closer.
You look around him and find his brothers all waiting at the hatch for him.
“What is it?” You look back up at him.
“I don’t want to give up on us. For the first time in a long long time, I finally feel content. Waking up next to you every single morning is what keeps me going.” He takes your hands.
You glance back at his brothers and Echo rolls his eyes.
“I don’t care what they think. You make me happy. I love you and I have since the moment that you told General Skywalker off about clone rights.” He squeezes your hands. “You don’t have to say it back-”
Instead of using your words, which seem to be failing you at the moment anyway, you crush your lips to his and you can tell it’s taken him by surprise. He lets go of your hands so that he can pull you closer against him by your waist, wrapping his arm and his scomp around you. Instinctively, you slide your arms around his neck and smile against his lips.
“It’s a good thing I feel the same way.” You cup his cheek.
“I’ll say.” He pulls you to him again, kissing you gently. No matter what you’re going through, you know that eventually you’ll be able to tell Echo the truth about your past. The only question is when.

Okay, so Esme's relationship with womanhood has been complicated and confusing her entire life. As a child, she was very much tom-boyish; she worked on the farm and cares little for her appearance beyond looking respectable for school or church. After all, it's not like farming was a clean, clinical life. As a kid, it didn't matter so much that she was often found in wellies with mud caked clothes.
As she got into her teen years, her mother started pressuring her to dress and behave more lady-like so to attract potential suitors, but Esme wasn't interested.
She had made up her mind— to go west and become a teacher. If it was one thing she loved as equally as the outdoors, it was knowledge. Accidentally rebellious, not deliberately so. This theme would follow her into her marriage with Charles.
Keeping a home didn't come unnaturally to her. After all, she'd been helping her mother do such her entire childhood, but being a homemaker and wife did not come as easily to her as manual labour and reading books. It also didn't help that her presentation of womanhood, despite her mother's coaching, was not adequate for Charles; he made sure she knew that. Esme's instinct to bite back was gradually beaten out of her. The role of subservient wife sculpted by Charles' hands.
Falling pregnant with her son came unexpectedly, both physically and mentally. As much as she wished to teach, Esme hadn't considered herself a mother, at least in these circumstances. In fact, motherhood hadn't really been on her cards at all. Just another way she felt as if she was being a woman all wrong.
Once away from Charles and able to process the situation, Esme gradually became more excited about the prospect of becoming a mother whilst simultaneously doing the job she loved. In fact, teaching really helped nurture her maternal instinct. After losing her baby, Esme's womanhood once again came under scrutiny. Was there something wrong with her? Was she not good enough to be able to do what everyone assumes women should be able to?
The loss in identity and capabilities accompanied by grief is what tipped her over the edge.
Awakening as a vampire, Esme felt a freedom she had never known— freedom from expectation. Perceived "womanness" was a human trait and unimportant to their kind, although her coven's lifestyle choices meant still adhering to these unspoken rules when around humans.
The only moment her sense of womanhood was abruptly questioned was the events of Bella's pregnancy. Despite grieving her human child and wishing she could have something similar with Carlisle, she had made peace with the fact their bodies as a species became infertile. Learning that the infertility was one-sided really began to mess with Esme's head, especially since the ability to bear children as a human ended in tragedy too.
This basic ability women (of most species) were supposed to have, started causing her to reflect heavily on her self worth, especially in Carlisle's eyes. Did he think less of her because she couldn't give him what Bella had given Edward?
Despite having always believed women are more than their bodily functions, Esme clearly hadn't applied it to herself which only became obvious during the events of Breaking Dawn. Whatever her mother and Charles had drilled into her had been done to such an extent that, even a century and a transformation later, it remained deep-rooted in her.
However, it's another reason that she is so vehemently against the question "what is a w.oman?" and the idea that women are definable by b.iological essentialism.
Esme may look like a "woman", but for those who define womanhood by the ability to bear children, then what does that inability make her? She may outwardly appear as a "woman", but when Carlisle changed her, he altered her DNA too (presuming her c.hromosomes were even XX to begin with). So what is she, then? Is it an aesthetic? Even then, as a human she never truly lived up to lady-like behaviour. Everything people use to define womanhood isn't relevant nor applicable to her.
So while she identifies as a woman, she does so in protest for those who think womanhood has clear cut edges. She does so in defiance. Because it has taken her a century and eternity to see her worth and her strength in an identity so many people try to control and dictate. And she will rip the throat out of anyone who believes they can define and control for other people trying to simply live their truth.

The smell of fresh incense filled her nostrils as she entered the library of Kamar-Taj. Her footsteps echoed off the walls and bookcases notifying its current only occupant of her arrival. The man stood up, removing the earbuds he had been using. "Y/n, what a pleasent surpirse." Wong spoke looking at his good friend.
She smiled, greeting the man. "Hey, Wong! How are you doing?" She asked him. It wasn't unusual to see Wong in the library, he used to be the librarian several years back. Now he was the Sorcerer Supreme, filling his duties well in her opinion.
Wong nodded, holding his hands behind his back. "Studying a few spells. I'm looking for a better seal spell for the sanctums' monthly maintenance." He was a little puzzled by her presence at the temple. It wasn't like her to be there without reason seeing as she didn't teach any classes or was a part of any councils. "What brings you to the library?"
"Stephen was looking for a book, and I wasn't doing anything so I offered to come here to find it."
"Stephen is looking for a book? Does you Sanctum not have it?" Wong quizzed her.
"No," shaking her head she went on. "He's looking for a book that has the rules, lifestyles, and customs within Visanti." The couple had yet to announce their engagement to anybody. Y/n knew Stephen and Wong were best friends, and she was not going to tell him without Stephen.
Wong raised an eyebrow. "customs? He was sorcerer supreme once, he should know our customs."
"Let's just say he has a few questions about a particular tradition." She looked at Wong, watching as he observed her before rolling his shoulders. He turned to the side, walking around the table and heading towards a bookcase. Y/n followed behind him, knowing that Wong knew the library best.
"Strange must be planning something," Wong commented as he scanned the shelf.
Her eyebrows perked up, nodding slightly. "I've learned when it comes to Stephen, to expect the unexpected." Her eyes scanned the shelves, seeing the titles and covers of the books she studied when she was a student. "Do you remember the day I first came here?"
Wong nodded, pulling a book out and checking behind it for the title in question. "Mordo had been on a mission, trapping a demon that got loose somewhere in Arizona, if I remember correctly. You were a bystander trying to get away but ended up getting blasted by one of the apprentice's spells. They had to bring you here due to your injuries, and you decided to never leave."
Y/n laughed a little at the end. "Yes, well, when in Rome." It was true, the reason she ended up in Kamar-Taj was due to the inexperience of one of the students who had been sent with Baron Mordo for some recon. "My ankle was broken, the only thing magic couldn't fix."
Wong finally found the book Stephen had wanted, pulling it down off the shelf. He blew the dust off of it before wiping it with his hand. He held it out to her, offering a smile. "But the poison-infused ruins were reversed."
She reached out with her right hand, taking the book. "Well, yes. I will give our talented healers that." She looked down at the title of the book, knowing that they were sure to find their answers on the sheets within. "Thank you, Wong."
He gave her a look, seeing something in her eyes shift. "I have to know what you're up to. Nobody looks for this book for no reason."
She took in a deep breath, giving a gentle nod. "Come with me to the Sanctum. I'll tell you there."
Wong stared at her for a few moments before walking back to the desk, gathering his music player, headphones, and book. Y/n gave a hum before summoning a portal from the library to the Sanctum landing. Once the two had walked through the portal, she closed it, then tied her sling ring back on her belt. "Stephen! I'm back!" She called out, wondering where the man had been.
He walked up behind her, leaning slightly over her shoulder before whispering, "Boo." in her ear.
The woman jumped slightly, turning around as she screamed. She was met with a laughing Stephen, giving him a soft smack on his chest. "What was the reason?"
He stopped laughing, his smile remaining. "Because I knew you would jump."
She gave a little huff before handing the book over to him. Wong cleared his throat looking between his two friends, which he knew had been dating. "Are you two done, or do you need a minute?"
Stephen looked over to see Wong, a book in his hand as well. "I wasn't expecting you to be back for another two days."
He nodded. "Yes, but then you asked for a book on Visanti customs. That isn't entirely concerning at all." He responded.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Stephen asked, taking the book from Y/n.
"What are you planning, Strange?"
Stephen looked at the woman, his eyes scanning her face.
She knew he was silently asking her if she wanted to tell him. "He should be the first to know." She told him, smiling.
Stephan and the woman turned to face Wong again. The man was confused looking between the two. "I asked Y/n her to marry me."
Wong looked from Stephen to the woman. She smiled happily, holding her left hand out. "We're getting married!" It was so strange to hear those words, but she enjoyed the feeling it gave her.
Wong dropped the book that was in his hand as he approached his friends, wrapping his arms around them both. "You finally did it Strange." He replied, laughing deeply. Y/n had wrapped one arm around Wong and the other around Stephen, just as Stephen had one arm on both Wong and Y/n.
After a moment or so, the man let go of his friends, taking a step back. "When did this happen?"
Stephen smirked, bringing the book under his arm. "A few nights ago."
"Oh, it was so magical." She commented, still feeling the high from that night.
"Now, you know why I needed the book," Stephen commented.
"We. We needed the book." She added, lightly touching her elbow to his side.
Wong looked between the two. "It's been a couple of decades since two sorcerers have gotten married. This is exciting news."
Stephen nodded. "Yes, it is. Which is why we wanted to see the rules for this."
There was a slight thud on the door. Checking the clock on the wall, the woman nodded. It was the newspaper delivery. She stepped away from the men who began talking about the engagement. She opened up the front door, picking up the newspaper. There had also been a few people standing at the bottom of the stairs.
"Oh my gosh! You're Y/n Y/l/n! Can I have your autograph?!"
"Y/n! Congratulations on your engagement!"
"You're a superhero?! That's awesome!"
The woman was shocked to see people at the base of the stairs. There were children and adults, some with cameras, others with lunchboxes and photographs of her. How did they know about her engagement?! Panicked, she rushed back inside, closing the door. That was not usual, how did they know where she was at? The Sanctum wasn't a publicly known building, at least she thought.
Both Wong and Stephen had still been talking, this time standing by the fireplace to the right of the staircase. Y/n pulled the newspaper out of the plastic wrap, unfolding it. A picture was printed on the front under a headline.
Doctor Strange engaged to fellow Avenger, Y/n
A picture of the two at their dinner was printed under it, the moment the two had kissed after his proposal. Her heart sank knowing that all of New York now knew about their celebration. "Stephen, you should look at this." She responded in a somber tone.
Stephen turned to her, seeing how her expression had changed. She even appeared slightly pale. He walked over to her, taking the newspaper that she offered to him. His eyes scanned the headline and the picture. He was sure everything was private, nobody was supposed to have known they were going to be at the restaurant. "Who could have done this?"
She went to speak when there was another bang on the front door. Stephen looked up, deciding to head that way. "Stephen, don't go out there!" She spoke, running up to his side.
It was too late, both Stephen and Y/n appeared in the doorway. Along with the people who had been there before, there was now somebody standing on the stairs with a microphone, another with a camera pointed at them. "Doctor Strange, Cassidy Newton with MCUTV. Can you comment on the headlines from this morning's newspaper?"
Y/n grew a little flustered seeing the crowd of people now having doubled. Stephen stood in front of her, looking at everybody who was now blocking their way out of the Sanctum. It wasn't like he couldn't portal anywhere he wanted to go, but sometimes he liked to walk outside to enjoy the city he loved. He looked to the woman who stood in front of him, watching as she tilted the microphone towards him. "Why are you here?"
"I'm just getting your thoughts on this morning's headlines. Is it true you are engaged? Do the avengers know?"
Stephen brushed past the questions about their engagement. "Why should it be the Avengers business what I chose to do with my personal life? Which you are currently invading by the way."
"The public wants to know how both of your families have responded to the news."
The woman grew frustrated. She walked around Stephen, her hand covered up by the Cloak that was also trying to keep her back. "Cassidy, was it? We don't have anything to say at this time."
"Y/n, we were contacted by your father. He wants to do a joint interview with you."
She shook her head, now angry. "I'll give you a better offer. Come here tomorrow at noon. Just you, your camera guy, that's it. Don't bring Rick. I'll give you something to publish."
"Okay!" Stephen spoke, using his arm to guide his fiance back into the Sanctum. "I think it's time everybody left." He then turned around, walking back into the Sanctum with Y/n. "You want to explain what that was about?"
The woman shook her head, bringing her hands up to her face before running her hand over her braided hair. "I panicked, I'm sorry."
"I had it under control."
"Yes, well, you still would have. But I let my anger get in the way." She was put off by the woman's words. How dare Rick want to interview with her, and put on a whole show displaying the fantasy he lived in. "I'm sorry."
Stephen looked to her then to Wong who remained at the sitting area where Stephen left him. Stephen then looked back to his fiance, seeing the broken facade fall onto her again. He knew how she was struggling with the recent interview of her biological father, he knew that she was battling a war that she wanted to protect him from. It still didn't make things any easy on her, and he wanted to help her. They were going to be husband and wife, they needed to share their battles. He walked over to her, gently pulling her into an embrace. "Don't apologize." He whispered to her. "Tell me what you want to do."
--
The next morning came. She dressed in her master's robes, her pants and under tunic were black with ivory-colored stitching. Her tunic top was also black with ivory, wine, and caramel patterns. The cuffs of her sleeves were fitted to her wrists, black in color. She looked in the mirror, adjusting her braid, letting it lay over her shoulder. She pinched at the chucks making them bigger. The fingertips of her right hand grazed over the engagement ring on her left ring finger. She was still in awe over it, it was the most beautiful and most important piece of jewelry she will ever own.
Stephen walked up behind her, dressed in his master's robes of dark blue with the Cloak resting on his shoulders. He wrapped his arms around her frame, looking at her in the mirror. "You don't have to do this, sink to his level."
She gave him a nod, her hands reaching up to rest on his arms. "I'm not sinking. I'm here to win the war. I need to do this."
He looked down at her, causing her to turn her head to look up at him. "You won't be alone."
"The last thing I want to do is drag you into this."
He reached down as she raised up on her toes, the lips meeting in a tender kiss. "You're not dragging me, love." He whispered against her lips.
She smiled, leaning back in his embrace. She could let herself stay there forever if she wanted. She always felt safe in his arms, she could let her guard down if she wanted to. Stephen wished they could have met in a normal life, not have to worry about keeping the world safe every day. Was it wrong to desire a domesticated life with her? Life a life where he never had his accident, met her at a coffee shop where they accidentally bumped into each other spilling their coffee, getting into a funny-awkward discussion of apologizing and cleaning up their mess, take her on a date, telling her about his day in the operating room, come home to her and lavish her with expensive gifts and fancy dinners. The chances of that were slim to none, he believed. they were always destined to be sorcerers. They just had to be at the right place at the wrong time.
She sighed before looking at him in the mirror again. "It's no battle on Titan, but it's going to be hard. I couldn't imagine having anybody else at my side."
"I still can't believe you followed me there."
"If I remember correctly, Cloakie was responsible for that." The cloak shrugged around Stephen's shoulders, and the bottom of the sentient fabric reach up to wrap around the both of them.
Stephen peered at the collar. "Okay buddy, we get it." Stephen let go of Y/n, seeing the time. "Wong and I just finished disguising the bottom floor and staircase. Less of a temple and more of a Georgian Revival."
She turned around to face him, smiling as she adjusted the collar of his tunic. "Smart. Need to keep our secrets secret."
He knew she was stalling, he also knew that once this interview would start she will not hold back in her answers. It scared him wondering how they would perceive her. She was a good human being, she was a hero to some people. More people saw him as a hero, but there were a handful of people who recognized her which made him proud. "Come on." He held his hand out to her. She gladly took it, slowly sinking her fingers between the spaces between his fingers, intertwining their hands.
The couple walked out of their bedroom, approaching the landing on the second floor. She was surprised by the theatrics the boys went into to keep the place private from the prying cameras. The once dark wood floors were now light, and the dark brown paneled walls were white. The relics were even covered up by magic appearing as various pieces of art. "Wow, I'm impressed. Though, I'm glad it's temporary."
He looked over at her as they approached the stairs, walking down together. "Really?"
"Yeah, it's too bright. Reminds me too much of the rich families in period dramas."
He looked over at her confused. "You love those movies. What are you talking about?"
She nodded looking up at him. "Yeah, but I'm an Elizabeth Bennett type of person."
"Stalking your future husband, getting caught peering into his house?"
She chuckled looking down. "You know what I mean." The two stopped at the bottom of the stairs where Wong had been.
"I think my work here is done. I'm heading back to Kamar-Taj," he spoke, picking up his suitcase.
Y/n let go of Stephen, walking over to give Wong a hug. "Thank you for your help, Wong."
The man nodded, embracing his friend. He looked at Stephen, giving him a nod. "Don't do anything stupid," he added after letting her go. He then summoned a portal, taking his belongings with him and walking through. The orange sparks had just finished fizzling out before there was a knock on the door.
Stephen looked at Y/n, giving her a nod. He didn't have to say anything. His presence alone was encouraging enough for her. She faced the door, taking in a deep breath before walking towards it.
--
About forty minutes later, everything had been set up. There were three cameras set up, one pointing towards the interviewer Cassidy, one was pointed at the couch where Y/n and Stephen were sitting, and the third was pointed facing the fireplace capturing all three. The once red couches of the sitting area were now a cream color. The floor below them was white marble flooring, and a black trimmed glass coffee table separating them. The three of them were set up with microphones, which were all tested and ready to go. Now it was time for Y/n to face the endless battle she raged.
"First of all, thank you so much for this opportunity. Your home is really lovely." Cassidy spoke, holding a notepad in her hands.
Both Stephen and Y/n nodded, thanking the woman.
Cassidy continued on. "I have several questions for both of you. First, Y/n, our viewers want to know what your thoughts are on the interview from last week with your father, Rick Swann."
Starting out strong, this was great. She sucked in a deep breath, having promised Stephen she was going to be as tame as possible. "I had no clue the interview occurred. I happened to be channel surfing, actually trying to find the weather report. What I saw actually upset me. Greatly, really."
"Oh, really? Can you elaborate?"
Y/n was wondering if it was in her job description to dig into festering wounds since that was what she was doing now. "Everything that he said never happened. It's a fantasy he lives in." She started telling her story as Stephen's hand, unseen by the cameras, gave her arm a gentle squeeze. He looked between Cassidy and Y/n, making sure she was fine. He was not afraid of cutting anything short if she began to grow uncomfortable. "The truth, whether you want to believe him or me, is that he never cared for my mother, my brother, or me. He didn't live with us, growing up. He rented a condo apartment on the opposite side of the city. My mother lived as a single parent raising two children with Rick Swann was out partying or traveling the world."
Cassidy had a pen with her, every once in a while writing down some notes. "According to Rick, he said you two were, and I quote 'inseparable until age eleven'. What do you have to say about that?"
The woman scoffed a little, coming off as a dry chuckle. "Inseparable? In what world? I only ever saw Rick during holidays, birthdays, and other types of functions. Birthdays, sometimes. Maybe long enough to get a single photo, for him to speak with my mother, and then he was off. He did any clothes at our house, not even a pair of socks. Rick Swann was never a father, I've never considered him mine."
Cassidy's eyes widened. "These are very strong feelings. It seems you have nothing to praise him for, which seems a little unfair since he isn't here to defend himself."
Stephen's mouth opened up when Y/n continued on. "Is it fair to a child to sit at a father-daughter dance alone at a table? Waiting on the promise that he was going to show up, but never did? Is it fair to that same child who ten years later found out he broke that promise to go on vacation in Italy with his then mistress? Tell me, is it fair to the teenager who walked across the stage accepting her high school diploma to see her mother and brother cheering her on while said father is too busy staring at his phone?" Y/n felt her insides shaking, but she remained still, knowing these were the words she needed to let out in order to heal. "Rick Swann didn't even show up to his own son's funeral. Because he didn't show up, I had to take his spot as a paul bearer. Do you know what it's like to lose a sibling, Cassidy?"
The woman shook her head, "No."
Y/n nodded, a thin line spread across her face. She knew Stephen knew the pain. "I helped raise my brother. I made sure he had his game equipment for practices. I walked with him down the fifty-yard line for his last football game in high school because my mother was at work. Where was Rick? Not in the stands. I taught him how to throw a baseball when we were kids. He was seven years younger than me. He was everything to me, growing up. Rick was somebody I hardly knew. I still don't know him to this day."
Cassidy continued to write down some notes. This really bothered Stephen, not knowing what she was writing or what she was thinking. "Let's shift gears here. Tell us about your time working with the Avengers, battling Thanos."
Y/n could feel her heart racing out of her chest. She looked up at Stephen as he turned his face towards her. He winked at her out of Cassidy's sight, smirking at the woman he loved. Both of them turned their heads back to face the woman. "We are not really Avengers. We just happened to save the world with them." Stephen nodded, still unsure about this whole interview. "I didn't listen to Doctor Strange here, and I followed him the day Thanos invaded Earth."
"I really wish that you would have stayed."
She chuckled, thinking back on their banter the whole time. "Yes, well, I did end up coming back several days later." She cleared her throat looking at the woman. "It was the two of us with Iron Man who we all know as Tony Stark, The Hulk, and Spiderman. We ended up on Thano's ship, crash landing on his world, Titan." Y/n couldn't help but feel like this was somebody else's story to tell, not her. "Eventually, after fighting for what felt like hours, Thanos ended up wiping half of the world's population. I ended up being spared, but.."
Stephen picked up. "I was dusted away with most of the others."
Cassidy nodded. Y/n began to speak again. "Tony Stark and I ended up back in the ship trying to navigate our way back home. We were stuck in space for twenty-two days. We were knocking on death's door when we were found and brought back. When I fully recovered, I never stopped looking for a way to bring everyone back."
"It only took you long enough," Stephen commented, one hand reaching up to scratch his head before resting back in his lap.
Cassidy smirked, looking between the two. "Is there banter going on here between the two of you?"
Y/n was going to speak but was cut off by Stephen. "Well, when we've known each other for four-"
"Nine," corrected the woman.
"Nine for her, four for me. Anyways, when you've known somebody for that long, there is going to be a bit of banter."
"Not quite like what we're seeing," Cassidy commented.
Stephen knew she was trying to get him to say something about their relationship. "Y/n was one of my peers when we first met. She ended up teaching me a few things, and I like to think I've taught her a few things in return. I believe we have quite a unique dynamic between us."
"Does this dynamic stem from a lack of a father figure, Y/n?"
That was the question that set the fire in her alive. Before Stephen could respond, Y/n sat up a little straighter in her seat, her posture appearing better. "I do not know what you are implying about the lack of a relationship I have with Rick Swann, but I can assure you that has nothing to do with the dynamic I have with Stephen." She took in a deep breath before speaking again. "I am in this position today because of myself. Nobody else, because they couldn't have cared less. And now… now I'm taken care of." She looked over to Stephen, giving him a nod.
"Are you sure?" He asked her, remembering the conversation they had the night before. She gave him a simple nod before he took her left hand into his. "I have to agree. I never knew Y/n before she became a sorceress, but I have to say that she has carried herself well. You've seen the footage of her in battle. She fights as if her life depended on it, she's not afraid to place her life on the line. She has helped bring back billions of people from a random mass genocide. She is extremely talented, powerful, and very special to me." He gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "What you asked us yesterday on the doorstep, it's true."
Cassidy's eyebrows raised up. "What's true?"
"I asked Y/n to be my wife," Stephen responded, holding her hand out in front of them.
"And I agreed. He's my best friend, he makes me feel at home. I love him, and I would follow him to the end of time." Y/n smiled, looking from Cassidy to Stephen.
They normally weren't the type of couple to fall for public displays of affection, but Y/n couldn't help but reach up to press a brief kiss to Stephen's lips. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze, feeling safe with him.
--
A few days passed since the interview. Y/n paced around in the lounge of the Sanctum where the tv had been. It was on the news channel, and a report on local crime was playing. Her arms were crossed as she held herself tight. Stephen was with her, scrolling through the book they borrowed from Kamar-Taj's library. He felt he was getting close to finding some answers, but he couldn't focus when she was obviously nervous. He placed a bookmark in between the sheets, closing the book and setting it down. "Honey, come sit down. No amount of pacing is going to change what they are going to publish."
She looked at him as he spoke to her, patting his lap. She knew he was trying to distract her, but it still wasn't enough to get her mind off of it. She crossed the room, reaching her arms out to him before sitting down carefully on his lap. He was sitting in his favorite armchair, which was in perfect viewing sight of the tv. She curled one leg under her as she sat on his lap, the other curling up next to her in between his legs. One of Stephen's arms wrapped behind the small of her back, his hand resting on her back. The other arm wrapped around her torso, gently laying in her lap. "I promise you, no matter what they say, you are going to feel better about this whole situation. You are much braver than I am."
She shook her head, moving a stray piece of his grey hair out of the way. "I understand that no matter what I say, the feelings won't go away. I just don't want to bring those problems into our marriage."
Stephen smiled looking at her. "We're going to be fine, okay?"
She nodded looking down at him. their heads turned when the article began.
"Last week, an interview was aired to our viewers. The father of one of the Avengers, Y/n Y/l/n, spoke with Cassidy Newton. He spoke about Y/n and her efforts with Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Tonight, we have a new interview, this time with Y/n Y/l/n and Doctor Strange. As I understand, a revelation was made, right Cassidy?"
The screen changed from the news desk to Cassidy. "Yes, Ginger. I sat one-on-two with the two sorcerers, and this is what they had to say."
"At least she called us sorcerers," Stephen mentioned, trying to make light of the situation.
The interview began to play. Their images were being played next to some footage taken on cellphones from previous fights of theirs. It seemed that this time they didn't edit anything out, except for the parts where it looked like the vein running down the front of Y/n's forehead was going to explode.
"Does this dynamic stem from a lack of a father figure, Y/n?"
Her lungs felt deprived of air and she felt that she couldn't get any air in. She continued to watch as the interview played.
"I am in this position today because of myself. Nobody else, because they couldn't have cared less. And now… now I'm taken care of."
The screen showed both of them sitting next to each other. Stephen had looked at her, and she couldn't help but see the adoration in his eyes as he listened to what she had to say. He looked her up and down, examining her as she spoke with such confidence.
"I have to agree. I never knew Y/n before she became a sorceress, but I have to say that she has carried herself well. You've seen the footage of her in battle. She fights as if her life depended on it, she's not afraid to place her life on the line. She has helped bring back billions of people from a random mass genocide. She is extremely talented, powerful, and very special to me. I asked Y/n to be my wife."
"And I agreed"
The screen showed their connected hands and the ring he gave her, then the picture that was taken of them when he proposed. "I still wish I knew who took those photos."
"What an incredible surprise, Cassidy! I guess the rumors are true then."
The blonde-haired woman spoke. "Yes, and let me tell you, I could feel the love they have for each other as I say there in their home. Nothing about them feels fake or forced. I do believe that this couple is not only real, but they do have an unbreakable bond."
"Well, you heard it here first folks. Let's all wish Doctor Strange and Y/n Y/l/n a happy congratulations on their next adventures in life, and a thank you for saving our world as we know it."
Y/n looked away from the television, snuggling her face in the crook of his neck. He waved his hand, turning the tv off. He held her a little tighter as he felt her nip at the skin on his neck. "That's not quite the response I thought you would have."
She pulled her head back up to look at him. "I never knew you looked at me like that." She responded, still seeing how he stared at her during the interview.
"Like what?" he asked her.
"Almost love drunk." She replied. The couple couldn't find any words. All they could find was the love in their hearts and souls for the other. Y/n pressed another kiss to his neck. Stephen picked her up in his arms, standing up and portaling them to their bedroom. It was about time they had a little bit of fun after a stressful few days.

(TW RAPE!!!
Alright, thank you! I'll make the ask sound accurate to how I've acted back then.)
Ruki's daughter comes home from school one day, acting very unusual. Normally she would go to hug her dad, greeting him with a lively smile, but this day, she only said hi dad, with a little smile on her face. When asked what was wrong, she would excuse the school, annoying people, the teachers. For the next few days, she would barely grin and always act so distant around males, shy away from her uncles and would be uncomfortable even with her own dad touching her. Eventually, with Ruki's pressure, she finally broke down, admitting her teacher assulted her, basically sobbing while admitting.
"What...?! He did what to you?! Tch... So that's why you've been especially avoidant as of late. And here I thought it was something either I or one of your uncles might've said. You should've told me sooner, my dear. This is... I can't let who did this to you walk free."
Devastated, a rising inferno engulfed the Vampire's heart upon hearing the dreaded news of his beloved daughter suffering a deplorable misdeed no one should ever have to experience in their lifetime, most certainly not a member of his family. Out of consideration for the recent events, rather than embracing the young girl in his arms, Ruki simply took a firm hold of her hand, seemingly wanting to crush every bone from how tight he held her extremities in sheer rage. Not directed at her, but rather her perpetrator.
"It's alright; your father is here for you, always. You don't have to say any more about it if it's too painful. What your teacher did to you... It's utterly reprehensible. I won't touch or hug you if you're uncomfortable with it, but just know that I will make sure this never happens to you again. When I return home, I'll teach you everything I know so that you can defend yourself against the worst of recreants in the future, is that understood? Thank you for finally telling me."
Tumblr media
After a while longer of comforting his daughter, telling her that none of this ordeal was her fault and that she could always confide in him for everything, Ruki departed the manor to visit the school with the utmost haste. In the parking lot, he waited and waited, watching the faculty go home one by one until a man fitting the description of the teacher his daughter told him about walked out the building, alone much to the Vampire's satisfaction. At least he wouldn't have to worry about bystanders potentially catching him in the atrocity to follow.
"A piece of trash like you who would dare lay a hand on my daughter... People like you should just p e r i s h."
Slender fingers curled around the man's throat as they both teleported to a back alley behind the school, his whole body shoved against the bricks in the shape of his silhouette from how brutally Ruki exerted the full extent of his vampiric strength on the foul cur, steel-blue hues aflame with anger.
"How dare you...! The look in my daughter's eyes when she told me what happened... This isn't the cheerful, happy, funny girl I know anymore... All thanks to you. I will erase you from this world, and not a single soul shall miss your wretched existence."
Tumblr media
Tears threatened to prick at the corners of his eyes as Ruki raised his voice to an intimidating shout directly at the man's visage, words as cutting as swords piercing through flesh. Of course, the choked teacher could only muster a struggled bellow for air, which soon escalated into shrieks of agony as the Vampire revealed his long, tapered nails, stabbing directly into the recreant's throat as stripes of crimson descended down and etched permanently into his skin. Even as it fell into a small puddle of blood on the asphalt, Ruki didn't paid it no mind. Drinking from him would taste nothing short of venomous with that abusive mindset and predatory lifestyle. Would murdering the man right here, right now offer him a sense of reprieve? Most likely not. Would it assuage his daughter's pain? Again, not likely. Yet even so, Ruki swiftly withdrew his claws only to rupture through the teacher's chest, splitting his chambers in a flower of red the soiled their clothes in copious splatters.
"This is far too good an end for filth like you. My daughter suffered much worse...! Whatever you feel is only a fraction of the pain she will cope with, now and for the rest of her life. Perhaps she will learn to forgive, but not forget. Lament your mortality and die already."
While it wasn't the Vampire's first kill, it was undoubtedly the first time he eviscerated a life in the name of his daughter. Once the corpse, the blood, the clothes, everything besmirched in blood from the scene was incinerated and disposed of, Ruki hurriedly came home to his family and greeted the lachrymal girl again without a shred of remorse lingering in his refulgent depths. However, the faint metallic still permeated around him in spite of his efforts. Perhaps he went too far, but from the Vampire's perspective, the teacher had it coming in every brandish of his supernatural weapons.
"...I'm home. Just in time for dinner, I hope. Let's have your favorite tonight," he said with a jaded smile. "When we're finished here, I want to teach you how to horseback ride. It's a skill I acquired as an aristocrat in my days as a human. The sport requires much strength, patience, and in return you may find companionship and solace from it. Not to mention how ideal of an activity it is for when you wish to be alone. What do you think? I'm confident you'll enjoy it thoroughly."

I'd love to hear more about how Inosuke was raised in the Cult and how he lives now, was/is he even happy living there?
Well, how about I drop the entire backstory now? I've been waiting to talk about it anyway :)
So, everything happens relatively the same. Kotoha runs away from her abusive husband, is taken in by the cult (unknowingly Douma's new pet, as their relationship went in canon), raises Inosuke through the first two years of his life or so, finds out Douma is a demon, tries to escape with Inosuke but dies. What ends up happening is that Douma finds Inosuke before she can send him down the river, but instead of killing him too, he keeps Inosuke as a replacement "pet" because he always thought Inosuke was beautiful like his mother. Essentially, he got himself a puppy.
Inosuke continues to grow up in the cult but is completely cut off from any of the other members. They misinterpret Douma's relationship to Inosuke as a fatherly one, and believe Inosuke to be the holy offspring of their god. They're all under the impression they can't interact with him because he's above them all, so Inosuke still turns to the mountains and animals for comfort and company. He befriends a particular boar that he met as a piglet in this time.
Douma doesn't correct any of these assumptions. He thinks he went wrong with Kotoha by hiding that he's a demon, so he made the decision early on to be open about it with Inosuke and teach him about his lifestyle. He lets his followers believe Inosuke plays a part in their faith because it keeps them at a distance and he doesn't have to worry about anyone finding out about his secret.
Because Inosuke knows that Douma is a demon, and is raised to believe in "superiority of the strongest", he willingly became a demon as a teenager. Douma, of course, lets him because he wanted Inosuke for his own benefit, and thus their relationship shifted from "owner and pet" to "master and guard dog", or "boss and employee" according to Inosuke.
So, in short, no, Inosuke wasn't happy. He was still incredibly lonely and starved of human interaction his entire life, but he didn't know life could be any different to begin with. He's resentful of the adults in his life who treated him like a fragile doll, and it contributes to his distaste for humans as a demon.

Grimm/ Transformers Prime Crossover Characters
Tumblr media
Name: June Darby
Tumblr media
Type: Wesen/Lowen
Summary: June didn't have the best background coming from a more "traditional" Lowen family. For the longest time she lived a pretty wild life, doing what she liked, taking what she liked, and pushing anyone who got in her way. But this stopped when she fell pregnant with Jack and she decided it was the best thing to separate herself from this type of lifestyle. She moved to the sleepy town of Jasper and took a nursing program there, which wasn't easy being pregnant or even when Jack arrived. But in a way she was almost thankful for the work and stress as it kept her on a strict routine that helped suppress her urges, usually. She wouldn't lie if there weren't people she met that made her wish she could sink her fangs into but that's not an option unfortunately....
She considers herself a Wieder Lowen. The term Wieder referring to a Wesen who has given up their old life (hunting and killing humans or other Wesen) to follow a more peaceful path. Usually with the help of a strict routine and diet, one that she had Jack adopt as well.
Things were pretty peaceful, just her and her son for the longest time. Though things did get tense when Jack first experienced his woge and revealed to take more after his father, splitting his pants in the process. Manticore and Lowen may be similar in appearance in behaviour but that venomous tail mixed with teenage mood swings would prove a challenge. June grew anxious that Jack would accidentally use his tail or fangs on someone if he got mad enough, so she stressed to him the importance of surpassing his anger and following there shared routine. But over time she learned to trust him better, even when he applied for a job.
Though she did notice that Jack had started to act strange, especially since getting that new motorcycle. She just chalked it up to teenage nerves. But after she was kidnapped and threatened by a giant spider robot any sense of peace from her current life was taken from her.
It took some adjusting when it came to meeting the Autobots, she's seen some pretty strange things as her life as a Wesen but nothing could compare to the knowledge that aliens are real and giant sentient robots are fighting a war on earth.
She was incredible upset to learn of her son's involvement in this secret war and that he was using his tail to fight, going all the dangers that could happen if he were to loose control. But to her surprise Jack actually stood up to her, telling his mom that as much as he knows she's trying to help the Autobots have done so much to protect him, taught him how to fight, and even coached him how to better work his tail. That for the longest time he's had to suppress his strength but now with the Autobots help he can better use it for the betterment of his planet and to help his new friends.
June is taken aback but can't help but be proud of her son, whose far more responsible and aware of the power he holds but decides to use it for good. Unlike herself at that age.
She soon becomes another good member of the team. Looking after Raf and Miko as sort of a maternal figure occasionally, though learning the teen girl was a Grimm did give her a mini heart attack. All the same she did her best to teach them more about the Wesen world, even some more unsavory parts.
Her and Fowler didn't get along at first, him being a experienced and cautious Grimm and her beging a Lowen with a shady past that if got out could have the agent pointing a blade at her. For the longest time she was defensive with Fowler making sure to contradict some Grimm lore and history pointing out the injustices done to Wesen at the hands of extremist Grimms. This did make her and the agent relationship even tender but in the end they learned to be amicable. June even helps with some of Fowlers cases and helps treat his wounds after an especially harrowing encounter with a violent Wesen.
All in all this new life is something see didn't see coming, but is happy.
Abilities: As a Lowen June is incredibly strong and much faster than a normal human. They are able to overpower and kill humans, and on at least one occasion, Lowen have been able to hold out in a fight with a Grimm. June has yet to test that theory though. But they can be overpowered when faced with a group of attackers.
Löwen are capable of lion-like jumps and able to move with incredible stealth, allowing them to sneak up on their victims, much like how actual lions hunt. They are also incredibly durable. Something that people are taken aback by when first encountering June.
Löwen have razor sharp claws and teeth. Like actual lions, they generally kill their victims by biting their necks or slashing their throats.
They also have a highly developed sense of smell, demonstrated through June incredible cooking skills.

Sanyu's Thoughts on Suginami Division
Tumblr media
Ryuko Umemoto
"I think I saw this guy back when I was working for Samatoki. Normally I don't pay much attention to lackies, goons, or peons. They all start to look the same after a while. But I remember him clearly cause not only did he resemble Samatoki in appearance, but his attitude was pretty much the same too. I don't think we even acknowledged the other's existence. We really had no reason to. I didn't care for him, and I'm pretty sure he didn't care for me.
"If not for the fact that I heard he was joining the D.R.B., I wouldn't have even known that he was no longer part of the Yakuza. Apparently, he makes anime now. A good profession, but other than that, I could care less about him."
Maki Umemoto
"I remember this guy. I think Ming brought him to teach her students math or something. He seemed okay, for the most part. It was only later that I found out he's the older brother of that Yakuza guy. ...But apparently, he doesn't follow that lifestyle, and never did. Ming thinks he's okay, but it's going to be awhile before I can trust him."
Shuu Edogawa
"Oh god... I remember this guy. Tasuku had a run-in with him once cause he caught the guy tailing him. I don't know the full story, but... long story short, Tasuku may, or may not have, knocked the guy's lights out, which caused him to be arrested and fined a hefty sum. Boy, if you could have seen Ming's face when she found out! That was scary! But anyway, I haven't seen that baby-faced detective around here again. Sorry pal, but you kind of brought it on yourself by spying on one of us."
Sazanka Zombeez
"'Sazanka Zombeez', huh? Only thing I know about zombies is that they're brain-dead beings who apparently roam the lower depths of hell as animated dead. ...That was lore from a video game, FYI. But anyway, I don't really get the name, but if they're looking for people to feed on, they'll have to find another division cause we're still using all of our body parts."

HOME : universe F.P.W.
As the fifth season doesn't exist (yet) and I am making my own continuation following s4, this is technically a Canon Divergent / alternate universe (AU) Dustin. The others native to his reality cannot be interacted with in character at this time, but may be alluded to as over-the-table information or in his IC memories. The events and outcome of this universe affect Dustin at all times, and have already happened. This verse is the only verse on this muse. All interactions with other muses are experienced by the same IC consciousness. It is not a different 'version' of Dustin, but the same one, in many places, at many times, and somewhere else entirely at once. Currently, Dustin is unaware of his phasing into other universes, or the fact that he is tethered to one specifically. He does not remember what happened in his original world but in fragments, and they do not make sense to him, and he perceives them to be nightmares when in reality-- they are memories. They're visions of home.
Pre-season 1/Early Backstory
Dustin's father, Germain Henderson, is a professional of the supernatural / paranormal under the guise as a regular park ranger. He was rarely at home, usually only able to see his son if he visited his current station; Germain spent as much time with Dustin teaching him various skills and knowledge; useful, of course, in any survival situation, but most importantly, the situations he's warned about in his line of work.
That line of work, however, is confidential. The secrecy of his job, as well as his and Claudia's vastly differing ideals of how to raise and protect their son, are the reason for his current absence. Dustin is somewhat knowledgeable in domestic laws due to his own family's lifestyle, but like his mother is majorly unaware of the true nature of his father's job, and he underestimates its involvement in his parents' quick-born distancing from one another. From his perspective, it was a relatively well handled split.
Because of the dichotomy that was his upbringing, being homeschooled, and for his disability, he is picked on by the small population of kids in the town, including his own friends-- which were more of acquaintances than anything. Most of his time is spent either outside in the woods and waters, in the town library and shops, or at home working on some project, or schoolwork, or any other thing, with his mother's help.
He accompanies his father on the job when possible; but often times, he's soon shooed away after his dad would slow to a pause, and signal for him to be quiet. It was hard for Dustin to fully associate Germain as his dad. He was more like a mysterious mentor; someone that he got to see every now and then but didn't necessarily miss when they weren't around, because they were off doing their mysterious things. He took to calling his father the 'wandering wizard'.
1979: THE STORM
Chaotic energies ripple from the portal made by Eleven's disintegration of One, that culminates into minor but otherworldly natural disasters. A majority of people who witness these phenomena re-associate the memories of the event(s) as dreams, if they remember at all.
One of these ripples, manifested as a storm, sweeps across the Great Lakes where Dustin then lived by, and was sitting on her shores when it passes over. Dustin sees himself watching silently from both across and at the bottom of the lake, and finds himself in these places as well, staring back at himself. Branches of decay sprout from the doppelganger, from which Dustin flees. He breaks the water’s surface on a shoreline miles down the way from where he’d been.
His parents have a long-lived dispute over whether it's safe for them to stay there or not. Claudia is afraid of uprooting his life and everything he's known (and, honestly, everything she's known); Germain, on the other hand, implores her to leave the state. He helps them find and afford a new place in Hawkins, Indiana. Coming to this decision, then planning it, takes roughly a year and a half.
1981: THE STRANGER
Arriving at Hawkins, Indiana, Dustin is targeted by bullies for not only being new to town and without a father, but also for his cleidocranial dysplasia and his “odd” mannerisms. Initially he is reserved but extremely reactive; meeting indifference with something even more beyond bored, and fleeing from anything else-- friendly or otherwise.
Dustin is spooked by Lucas, Mike, and Will, assuming their advances to befriend him as cleverly disguised humiliation, as was the case in his hometown. Afterwards he struggles to reach out to them and meet in genuine, having already made a reclusive and even hostile first impression. Eventually though the four are fast friends. The feeling of being a stranger never entirely leaves.
Season 1
1983: THE NEW CHAPTER
Dustin, Lucas, Mike, and Will are forced to finish a game prematurely as it's a school night. Will and Dustin, as they head home, race each other on their bikes, and Dustin is left far behind by the superior speed of his friend. It would be the last time Dustin sees his friend-- or any of his friends-- while things were normal. As Will beats him in the race he calls out that he's going to kill him.
Mike Wheeler sacrifices himself to save Dustin from mutilation at the hands of Troy Walsh, by jumping over the ledge of the quarry. While, thankfully, Eleven arrives just in time to save him in turn from falling to his death. The event has disturbed Dustin to this day (as he'll never admit it's trauma), and while grateful to El beyond words, and for Mike's courage for his friends' sake, feels guilt for being too weak to defend himself and Mike. The event, and how it could have gone, stick with him.
Post-Season 1
1983 - 1984: THE AFTERMATH
Dustin sneaks out occasionally in search of signs of El, or the Upside-Down, still being out there. With no findings after a few months he relaxes into the idea that they are now safe from the latter, but frequently finds himself at the ledge of the quarry. Sometimes he waits there until the sun is down. Of course, El would never come back. Dustin buries his troubles in fiction, and tries to spend as much time with his best friends as he can, usually with an armful of distractions.
Season 2
Fall 1984: THE SPORES
Dustin finds and adopts an infant Demogorgon spawned from Will last December, naming it D'artagnan. The creature grows at a rapid pace, and he studies the creature as well as researches known species it could possibly be, but none match; thinking he's made a breakthrough of a discovery, Dustin attempts to show his new pet to his teacher Mr. Clarke. However, when Mike is informed by Will the true nature of D'artagnan, Dustin is stopped, and after the creature flees the others he keeps the Demodog in hiding. This results in his cat Mews being eaten by the creature once it grows even more in size. Dustin buries the corpse, cleans the evidence, and lies to his mother that Mews simply ran away.
The large pods in the tunnels underneath Hawkins produce spores native to the Upside Down. Like much of the flora-affecting organisms and energies from there, the spores have a corruptive effect on the environment it interacts with. While relatively harmless to make brief contact with bare skin, inhalation, consumption, extensive exposure, etc. are the conditions in which one is as most risk of the spores inhabiting them, and causing far worse damage.
D'artagnan, along with the other Demodogs in the tunnels, perishes upon the closing of the Gate under Hawkins Lab.
After his exposure to these spores in the tunnels beneath Hawkins, Dustin initially shows no signs of negative effects, other than mild allergies.
Post-Season 2
1984-1985: THE DORMANCY
The second symptoms are psychological, resulting in higher amounts of depression, anxiety, and persistent nightmares. Dustin goes to summer camp both for the knowledge and experience, as well as a way to escape Hawkins for a while.
He makes a new friend, Suzan, at summer camp, and they're immediately smitten with each other. Dustin tells her a bit about his and his friends' experiences, but plays it all off as make believe, of course. He warns her the story is top secret though, and not to share it with others. She agrees in earnest. After the incident at camp Dustin promises to tell her more about his life in Hawkins, that what he told her was all based on true events, but he couldn't explain until it's "all clear". (NOTE: some lore from the comics is alluded to in his backstory but is not strictly abiding to it. i.e. Dustin was working on a campaign, but it is never finished.)
Season 3
1985: THE BURNING BUILDING
The Upside Down in him is both kept relatively dormant during the summer, but also aggravated by it. While his existing symptoms have not faded, no new ones develop yet, also in great part due to the sun's heat. Returning to Hawkins however brings him back to the concentrated force of the Upside Down's influence, and Dustin's mental health dips steeper on the way back home.
Watching the mall's destruction from afar is the emotional-psychological catalyst to the spores/ash in Dustin transition from the infestation stage to amalgamating with the host as one entity.
Post Season 3
1985-1986: THE DRIFT
The merging stage causes dehydration, skin irritations, heightened physical anxiety, and resurfaced dissociative episodes and nightmares reminiscent of those following the storm in Michigan. Dustin struggles to hide signs of his psychological decline from his mother, and becomes taken to leaving her out of any of his projects, even the ones that aren’t secret. To avoid stumbling on the lies he simply doesn’t let her know anything going on with him.
Season 4
1986: THE SUNDERING
When left behind by Eddie for his own protection (as well as quite literally everyone else), Dustin attempts to chase after and prevent him from being killed. Botching the jump through the portal, Dustin lands wrong on his leg; twisting his ankle, hyper-extending his knee, and damaging his hip.
Dustin feels at fault for letting Eddie die, much like he feels at fault for Mike jumping off the ledge, and for his father sending him and his mom away. At the fourth Toll, signalling Max’s death, Dustin has a violent emotional breakdown and nearly kills himself, before returning to the Right Side Up to reunite with the others.
Post Season 4
Military forces take aggressive control of handling the USA's situation, and skirmishes break out everywhere, as the Party struggles to spread the word on what is happening and to, for the love of God, work together. It is discovered that the Russians' efforts involving the Upside Down have been commandeered by the once-captive Mindflayer fragment, as well as that several organizations have formed worldwide both to combat the corruption, but also others actively pushing its progress along. One such group is an eldritch cult-- formed right in the half-abandoned town of Hawkins.
Hawkins inhabitants are forced to live similarly as a whole; a Mad Max-esque lifestyle of scavenging and repurposing and hoping they’re killing the right things. Except there’s no fighting pits and wacky costumes. It is cold, darker with every day, and the Upside Down learns and adapts faster than the humans. Initially, the Upside-Down’s corruption only seems to affect things like plants and the soil. Over time animals begin to succumb to its nature as well; many creatures, despite becoming more akin to (or even exactly like) the Upside Down wildlife, retain their native behaviours at least to some degree... and many others become one with the hive-mind governed by Vecna.
Soon, it is evident that humans are susceptible just as any other animal-- perhaps even more so. Their love and compassion for one another, held together in the present and in memory, proves to be the end of their world. Their very selves.
Mid 1986 - Late 1987: THE CALL
The more one sleeps, the more one loses grasp of their mind. Even those uninfected by the Upside Down succumb if they sleep too much. One night they fall asleep, the next morning their corpse is bleeding silently from the eye sockets. Sometimes, their bedding is simply found cold, and empty, for they wandered into the night mist long ago, and are no longer the same thing that fell asleep. Dreams are no longer safe.
Will and El are capable of staving off their change’s progression, but are the worst infected of anyone in the Party. The spores amalgamated with Dustin are awakened by the corruption’s spread, and he is unable to prevent or reverse his physical changes. He is able to slow its progression with vigilance to the state of his mind. As his changes are less visible than they are lethal, Dustin begins to distance himself from the others.
Having adapted to a survivalist lifestyle with numerous makeshift safehouses around Ground 0, Dustin secretly collects and cultivates different specimens, studying and experimenting with them, as well as rearing Demodogs and other creatures from the Upside Down in the hopes to train them resistant against Vecna’s influence. To the public eye, he also works on tools and machines befit the apocalypse. This includes a small rough-terrain vehicle which he names Patsy.
Come the summer the heat helps to prolong the spread and stifle symptoms, to a point. Many of those affected become lethargic as a side effect. Often exhaustion is to the point that an individual can collapse and even sleep for days straight. Several deaths and disappearances follow.
The borders of realities break even further and become more numerous. Natural disasters are triggered in ripples across the world as more portals open... and open to even more rooms than ever before. To wander into these newly discovered dimensions once walled away as unreal, is to be found far away from where you disappeared-- often dead-- or are simply never be seen again.
1988 - 1989: THE DESCENT
The spread of the Upside Down has reached a global level. While a few patches of the earth remain uninfected, there is no doubt of it: it's the end of the world as we know it. Measures have been discovered and taken, to be able to identify the tears in reality and avoid contact.
Also, zombie Russians are now a thing. They're like fruit flies, and soon it's just zombies, no Russian about it. Mindflayer zombies, specifically. The cult in Hawkins, at this point, have made traversable paths between this dimension and specific others.
Dustin has majorly isolated himself from the others as his physical corruption is seemingly irreversible, and dangerously contaminating. Living as a semi-hermit, he vigilantly studies the new wildlife of their world, researching and experimenting with specimens in the hopes of either separating the UD from the Earth, or finding some use of the transformed organisms. He also rears Demo-creatures from birth in attempts to condition them to resist the Particles inside of them, and even tries to extract the influence from the animals. While the former project is more successful than not, the latter is a gruelling failure.
After the destruction of his motor Patsy, Dustin takes to riding his most cherished, and largest successfully tamed Demobeast. He names it Artex.
1990 : THE LAST ROLL
Over time, in spite of all efforts against it, the world is engulfed fully by the Upside Down. Casualties, and how many are giving into Vecna's influence, are impossible to keep up with. From some being massacred, to sacrificing themselves, to 'drifting into the Shadows', as he'd start calling it. Or simply vanishing.
The Party is no exception to this collateral. By late 1989, Dustin is left in a semi-catatonic state, unable to fight his grief over the many losses. He abandons his research altogether.
Dustin reaches the stage of rapid transformation and loss of his mind and, well, his him. His empty-but-not corpse remains with the survivors until its stage reaches a Demo-summoning level, then it leaves them behind, now fully one with the Shadows.
∞?∞?∞ : THE FULL PARTY WIPE-OUT.
Try as you might. Hard as you've fought. They will never know the end of their own campaign.
Countless planes and dimensions of existence are warped, their borders between One and Another rendered to shreds along with their laws. The world no longer exists as a world, but a desolate, rotating wasteland of dreamlike, nightmarish serenity and death.
Creatures from beyond the earthly realms, wander the ash and mist in mourning of something that was never theirs to know before. Amidst a microscopic battle between Up and Down, One and All, they have lost their way.
Creatures from what once lived in this (these?) forsaken realm(s?), wander the ash and mist, mourning something they could never keep as long as they simply pleased. What few sparks of humanity remain alight scramble and crawl amongst the shattered pieces of two worlds scattered across far too many others, wondering how many of their own are still out there.
And somewhere, making its way to and already waiting beneath a great lake enveloped in storms, wanders a forest of lost beasts and empty shells. Leading the way is their Caretaker, who yearns to return home and sleep. His mind has long since wandered through other windows, and Dustin has forgotten where he's going.

Saint Mary's School for Troubled Girls (Ma. Cristina)
Eric has a work project in Baguio and will stay in her estranged sister's home, Cristina or Tina.
Eric has 5 other siblings. 4 other boys and only one girl, Cristina. Though Eric has been the closest to Cristina next to Alfred who is born a year ahead of Cristina, Eric feels nervous around her as they haven't been together this long ever since Tintin was 16.
Cristina is research microbiologist in a university. She is meticulously clean and religious. Dainty and feminine, Eric reveals that she's not weak and that's why he is scared of her because she could stand up for herself and fight.
Eric notices that Cristina comes out every night and comes back early in the morning.
Eric though always notices Cristina's still dainty behavior from her dressing, calculated actions and being a neat freak. Tintin has a cat named Bimbo who didn't like Eric at first.
He slowly notices Cristina becoming a woman but though she has parade of suitors, she has no lovers.
He has learned a few things about Cristina. Cristina spent college in Baguio and only comes home every year but they never talk as Eric is married and sometimes he is at his wife's province.
After college, Tintin went to London to study take her Master's degree. Worked there for a year and has been abroad for four years before coming home. Tintin also often goes missing for religious travels and can't be contacted.
There are also tons of missing people.
Christina's friend, Angela arrives and seduces Eric. As they have sex, Angela made Eric reveals that he is attracted to his sister, Tintin.
Eric reveals more of Tintin's. When she was young their, godfather attempted to kidnap and rape Tintin. Eric comes to rescue but Tintin picked up a rck and beat up the godfather with it until it dies. Eric told Tintin to hide it so it won't complicate Tintin's life. He stripped off Tintin and changed her clothes. However in the following days, Tintin is scrubbing her hands off repeatedly untp it bleeds out.
Eric notices it makes her stop but she can't. She feels the guilt. Graduating elementary, she is invited to go to an exclusive all girls catholic boarding school in which she immediately went.
Eric and Cristina made a promise to forget what happened.
Eric reminds Cristina about that as he knows that when she cleans at 3 in the morning, he knows what's going on. Knowing what is her guilt he knows she has hurt someone.
Cristina says she's fine but Eric starts to notice that sometimes she's days away. He dropped in at her work and finds out she doesn't work there anymore.
A series of flashbacks shows that Eric has been visiting Cristina in the high school before he gets married.
Cristina tells Eric that she did again. She hurt someone again.
Cristina repeats the process of cleansing herself. Eric suggest she learns how to hold a gun or MMA. As she did.
Eric asks Cristina about it and Cristina says she quit months ago and is just doing volunteer teaching. He starts to question about her expensive lifestyle but Cristina shuts him off until she collapsed. Eric brought her to the hospital and learns that she has a wound in her leg caused by stabbing.
Years ago, During a summer vacation, Eric picked Cristina up going home to their province. Having grown close, Cristina often sneaks into Eric's room. They often spend a lot of time together in the paddy fields.
While drunk, Eric kissed Cristina on her lips when she was crying. Cristina confesses of being in love with Eric and shared a kiss.
Their mother is horrified seeing them hugging each other in bed seemingly intimate. She rushed Eric's wedding to a closer date and insists Cristina to stay in Baguio longer.
Eric told her they cannot do that again as they are siblings. Cristina then joined the order of Matriarchi as a paid hitgirl.
Eric asks Cristina about her strange behavior. Cristina reasoned out that it was just an accident. They get home and Eric takes care of her.
Eric and Angela continues sleeping with each other and asks about Cristina but Angela is mum about it.
Cristina and Angela are staking out on their new target. Cristina knowingly that Eric is also just behind them, they turned around leading him to a night club.
Eric got mad at Angela for bringing Cristina there and poisoning her mind. Cristina and Eric fought.
Meanwhile, Cristina learned Eric slept with Angela in her own house. They argued and Eric kissed her. Tintin pushed him away and told him to leave.
Eric left and goes home to their province for a while. While staying there, he has become indifferent.
His mother questioned him about Cristina and reminds him that they are siblings.
Eric though came back but has seen Cristina in a nondescript attire, soiled and hands bloodied.
Eric has thoughts that Cristina has killed someone or hurt someone again.
Cristina couldn't speak as who she killed that night was Angela who was doing crimes herself using the sisterhood.
Eric bathed her, seeing her body.
They slept beside each other. Eric tries to get the truth out of Cristina but she wouldn't say a thing.
Eric promises whatever her secret is there he will hide it no matter how bad it is.
Cristina cries and admits still having romantic feelings for him. Which shocks Eric and in turn he kisses her again and forcibly stripping her but Cristina stops her. She says they have to control themselves.
The next days, she tells Eric that she's looking for a new job. And that in the evening Eric catches her dolled up and going on an orchestra date with someone else which makes Eric jealous.
Cristina thougj has a new partner, Franco, temporarily.
They go to a orchestra to kill a target. Franco shows interest to Cristina and ends up having sex in a hotel room. Franco drops off Cristina late at night while Eric is waiting. They argued about about their relationship. When Cristina cried Eric confronted her and they kissed again before Cristina shuts the door.
The next morning, Eric tells her that he's leaving as his project is almost finished and will come back when needed.
Eric left and chose to stay in a hotel for the next few days until he returned to the province.
Cristina continues her relationship with Franco as Franco has been reassigned. Cristina works alone now as a killer.
Months went on until Christmas and Cristina comes back home to celebrate and Eric acts fine with her. Even as far as announcing to the family of Cristina's new boyfriend for the first time.
Going to the farm, the other men are entranced by Cristina's demureness and femininity and has been the subject of attention even to their very own relatives so Eric went along with her.
They talked normally asking each other's lives since they separated ways.
Eric sort of insulted her pretentions of being clean and holy when in fact she is very dirty herself.
Cristina slapped him and Eric attempted to rape her in the middle of the grassy lands. Cristina almost bludgeons Eric but she stopped. She hugs Eric and it later pours down. Cristina kisses Eric he ended up giving her oral sex. He pulled her into the nipa house near the farm and had passionate sex for the first time.
While drying their clothes after the rain, they are both naked talking. They get into reality what will happen to them. They are not allowed to be together.
They both agreed to let it pass for a while and hide for as long as they can. They both made up rules that they can't have sex in the house where Eric's family is at and where their parents and siblings are.
They had sex again before going home but Eric warns Cristina to avoid their mother's suspicion as she already had an idea about them.
BOOK 2
Their sexual relationship continues when they are both alone or sometimes they check in a motel. Cristina has to come home still not breaking up with Franco.
Eric comes back to Baguio and continues the relationship with Cristina.
Cristina and Franco though argues with their arrangement. Then Franco catches them kissing. So Franco traps Eric and Cristina together until they are having a threesome.
Franco promises to keep their relationship and will let her be in relationship with Eric.
Franco though has a secret gay identity. He is the son of a congressman and he can't be caught gay.
As their relationship progresses, Eric's wife, Janna is suspicious of Eric having another woman in Baguio and asks Cristina. Cristina promises to guard him while engaging in sex with Eric.
Meanwhile, Eric still has no idea about Cristina's double life.
Eric and Janna's argument kept getting worse. Their mother is also becoming suspicious so Cristina and Franco announced getting married because Franco is being pressured as well.
The suspicion dies and a mont later, Franco and Cristina got married.
Eric took Cristina's condo unit so Cristina could stay at Franco's house. But it's for show.
They are still having sexual relationship. Christmas time arrives, Janna caught them having sex. Cristina shoots Janna fatally and then Eric but in areas where he will still survive.
She tells Eric she has to do that and leaves to steal things in the house to make it look like a robbery homicide.
She drives away and Eric is contacting police while nursing Janna and his own.
Book 3
Janna eventually dies but Eric is in a coma for three days. Everyone is in the burial and Cristina is watching Eric and explained everything and apologizes. Eric forgave her.
After a few days after burying Janna, Eric gets well and is investigated.
Cristina has to leave to let everything chill.
Cristina comes back and continues their immoral relationship. Eric moved to a new house with his children and there Cristina can freely be with Eric.
Later, ballistics shows up on Agent Daniella radar where the same weapon used is consistent with former murder victims in other parts of the country.
Cristina admits the truth to Eric but he accepts her.
Daniella though sympathizes with Eric and is curious with Cristina.
Daniella ends up sleeping with one and the other thinking the siblings don't know about it.
Cristina becomes jealous so he ended the relationship with Daniella.
Cristina did the same. Daniella though comes closer to the truth.
Discovering Cristina crimes.
Franco killed Daniella and warns Cristina that the order is turning against her for killing an innocent person.
Cristina decides to end her relationship with Eric to pay for her sins. Eric though rapes her and puts her in a secret place to hide for a while. Franco helps out as the order is hunting her.
Cristina and Eric continues their relationship until she got pregnant

Chapter 3: Canis Major
Tumblr media
I don't need to sleep, I don't need to eat, I don't feel tired, but I do feel thirsty, a thirst that blinds my eyes and makes me uncomfortable, a thirst for blood. The Cullens don't feed on humans, they feed on animals. I'm glad to hear that, I don't want to hurt anyone like I did. Now I'll have to adapt to a new lifestyle. At the moment I'm outside the big house with Emmett and Rosalie, my throat is burning madly and it feels like I've spent days in the desert looking for something to satiate me, they're going to teach me how to hunt.
___ You have enhanced senses, so smell the forest, listen to the sounds it makes and look carefully - Rosalie explained to me as she entered the forest, I followed her - You have a greater strength than all of us now, since you're a newborn, use it to your advantage, don't hold back and show who you are now - then she ran off, disappearing in the blink of an eye, Emmett smiled and ran too. Impressed, I tried to follow them and surprised myself with my speed, everything around me became a blur, but if I focused my eyes enough I could see everything perfectly. The grass on my bare feet was fresh and wet, the smell of earth and oak, the darkness of the night wasn't a problem, the moonlight did a good job of illuminating the whole environment, I stopped when I heard a heart beating quietly. I followed the sound, trying to be as quiet as possible, it was a deer, calmly drinking water, I could hear even its breathing, if I concentrated hard enough even the sound of blood passing through its veins. I stepped on a branch and it looked at me, frightened it ran to try to get away from me, but I ran after it as if it were my prey, but well, it is.
I reached him not long after, he was emitting sounds of despair, I began to feel a little sorry for him, but my thirst was too much, I dug my teeth into his neck and wow, the relief was instantaneous, it was like finding fresh water after days of dying in the desert. I sucked all I could out of him and it wasn't enough, I needed more. I concentrated and felt more heartbeats, I chased hard and again a group of deer were walking calmly, but they started running when they saw me, it's kind of fun, I managed to catch one more, and another and another, in the bedroom I no longer felt thirsty, I lay down on the grass and enjoyed the feeling of satiety. I heard footsteps, but I didn't mind.
___ You're a fast learner, you hunt like a dog - Emmett laughed at his comparison and I realized that he had also hunted, along with Rosalie who sat on a rock nearby - You did very well on your first hunt, what it's like to follow your instincts.
___ It's wonderful not to feel my throat scratching and burning, I thought I'd feel guilty for taking their lives, but well, it's them or me - I replied, closing my eyes to enjoy the sounds of nature, now I was part of it, like an animal at the top of the food chain - Do we have to hunt every day?
___ Not usually, animal blood can keep us satiated for up to 5 days, unlike human blood, it keeps us satiated for much longer, but it ends up becoming a drug, you get addicted to the sensation of such rich and tasty blood so you end up hunting it every day, like an unbridled predator - Rosalie replied, a little somberly.
___ I don't want to try that drug, animal blood already makes me ecstatic - I emphasized to her.
___ Shall we go back? Someone needs a shower - Emmett commented good-naturedly. He meant me, and I made a mess of my clothes, which already had my own blood on them. I stood up.
___ How about a run home? - I proposed excitedly. I ran as fast as I could, and ended up overtaking them, I arrived at the back door of the house and sat on the steps waiting for them, they arrived not long after - So what took you so long? - I joked, Emmett pushed me lightly and went in with Rosalie. I got up and found Alice excitedly waiting for me.
___ Come on, I've arranged a room for you, we'll need to go shopping in Port Angeles, you're the tallest woman in the house, so I've sorted out some dresses that might fit - I followed her through the house and into a huge bedroom, with a double bed in the middle, a large closet and a spacious bathroom, I asked about the bed - Well, we don't need to sleep, but it can be used for other things - she laughed a little - I've left the clothes I've sorted out in the closet, you can make yourself at home.
I went into the bathroom, took off my clothes and turned on the shower, the water pressure was just perfect and the temperature ideal, nothing compared to the shower in my old house, with cold water and only a few holes, I washed my skin and hair, enjoying every moment under the magnificent hot water. I dried off with the towel I found on the bathroom cabinet and went out. I opened the drawers and found new lingerie, still with the tags on, and colorful dresses, all short and with pretty prints. I chose a black one with white flowers, it was shorter than it should have been, but it was very pretty, I dried my hair and went downstairs.
___ Ah, it's perfect on you - Alice commented, jumping up and down - Tomorrow we're going to buy you some new clothes and some decorations for your room Okay, we're going to have a lot of fun - she said quickly - But first you need some lessons and how to pretend to be human again, realize that you don't need to breathe and are standing still like a statue - it was only then that I noticed this detail - First, move your shoulders minimally to imitate the movements of a breath - Emmett, who was sitting on the sofa, moved his shoulders quickly, and I laughed - Secondly, don't sit so upright, humans don't have such impeccable posture - Rosalie, who was sitting perfectly in an armchair, bent her back a little in a horrible posture - Thirdly, blink your eyes from time to time - Jasper joined in the joke and blinked his eyes rapidly several times - Can you stop this? - Alice tried to sound angry, but laughed at the others' joke, I laughed and sat down on the sofa, blinked my eyes and moved my shoulders, well it wasn't difficult, I don't think I've unlearned how to be human - Your eyes will change in a few days with the diet based on animal blood, they will become golden like ours, if you go too many days without eating they will turn black, as you are a newborn they are red and if you feed on human blood, they will go back to that. When they turn golden, we'll enroll you in school with us.
___ I didn't have the opportunity to finish high school - I replied a little embarrassed.
___ No problem, we'll help you with everything okay - she squeezed my hand, and I smiled at the gesture.
___ How did you discover your special powers? - I asked curiously.
___ It's something that comes naturally, you know, when you see it you're already using it without realizing it - Alice answered casually. She explained that we can drink human beverages, just for taste. I was excited about this, I love coffee and would be disappointed if I never had another sip. We were all gathered in the living room chatting casually.
___ Where's Edward? - I asked, trying not to sound so needy.
___ Probably at his little girlfriend's house, the one with no salt - Rosa replied almost growling, Alice reprimanded her.
___ Bella's human, she's not a bad person, you know - Alice replied, trying to lighten the mood. Well then, he had someone, it's kind of obvious, given his appearance and his kind and warm personality. I tried not to be too disappointed and continued talking to them, I've never felt so welcome and comfortable with other people before. It means so much to me.
Around 8: 00 a.m. Carlisle showed up and wished everyone a good morning, and went to work, Esme showed up with a cup of tea for each of us and explained to me that he was a doctor, I found this incredible and discovered that everyone there had at least two degrees, later Alice and Rosalie took me to Port Angeles, they gave me brown lenses to disguise my eyes, the smell of the city was a bit disgusting and controlling myself around so many people was difficult, for the person passing by me smelled delicious and looked delicious, but I managed to control myself, I don't want to be a monster.
We bought the most varied pieces of clothing, pants, blouses, dresses and much more, delicate and beautiful jewelry, shoes of the most different kinds, I've never worn heels before but Alice convinced me to take some, she promised me she would teach me how to wear them. We also bought some bags and a backpack for school. Then we chose bedding that I liked and a new wallpaper, I chose one with cherry blossoms, a new lamp and on a whim I bought a camera that took instant photos. I felt a bit bad about spending so much and when I said so, Rosa laughed and said that it didn't even touch the fortune the Cullens had.
___ Stella, understand, now you're a Cullen too - Alice gave me a side hug - Everything that's ours is yours now too - she reassured me and I got emotional, could I cry? - You're so cute, let's go buy some makeup now - she dragged me to another store. The day was really fun and we bought everything I needed, the trunk and even the back seats were crammed with things, I felt like a child in an amusement park.

Just wow...
It is odd to watch the worst type of human behavior just before the lowest level. There are only maybe two levels of personhood lower. I know what weakness looks like. I know what a slimebag is. When you smile, I see a fraud. How could you ever lead anyone, they would not deserve... You. It is disgusting and sad... Really garbage. A devout catholic referred to it as sadism. Somehow I don't believe that gentleman would be so vile. Used as toilet paper for my homosexual stalker to be in, and impact my life. I swear it feels like the homosexual's life accomplishment and excitement is to be intimate with my life. It's really sick. Why would you pursue someone's life who is not interested in, nor wants you near or to know any one thing about their life? If you are adversarial, why would you try... Hard to be intimate with their partner? Repulsion. Why would you use that person to pursue finding out about her life and family created? And then work to persuade the detriment to bring you into their life? And then narrate much of it while insulting the subject of your obsession. You make it a group effort with a sick little band of vile. Also homosexual? To view some of it, you realize... The homosexual didn't have a life outside of shadowing mines, her and other's female genitalia in her terms/language. I think that the Spanish devout catholic values himself more than anything like this detriment. Watching it everyday gives me so much to warn and teach of. It is truly fascinating, and when I really step back and look at the whole picture... I see it, yes, trash. I think what is strange is the desire to want to be, and be seen as decent and opposite of what he is. I don't have to say a word and he is relaying anger and disdain for certain types and yet? Denouncing the actions as vile and repulsive and yet, if he is engaging in them, is he sick... Mentally I'll or just spineless and so dangerously easily manipulatable and treacherous and gross at core. He was recently talking about me being judgmental of him. Strange because he yells at the television regarding alternative lifestyles and states that he is so conservative. Sounds like he is parroting and being toilet paper again. It is watching my life and inquiring in remarkable ways. The homosexual must have been updating him and swapping details of my life some more and it told the toilet paper... so what that she has had multiple felony charges, so what that she sleeps with whatever, so what that she self identifies as lesbian but asking to sleep with him, so what that she at 45 is experiencing evictions and felony charges yet stalking and harassing me in the closet somewhat, so what that she has stalked someone she was aware of as an adolescent and is obsessed with, yet I am repulsed and want nothing to do with it. So what that she is my obsessed adversary following my life and simping this weakest link. So what she must have told him, I am judgmental for being shocked and ready to defend myself at being pursued by an obsessed homosexual adversarial stalker. The more I see, the more I agree with the devout catholic. I wish daily that this detriment had never laid eyes on me. I don't know if another man could be so sick, or stupid to bring this garbage into someone's life. But I watch, experience, and document this sick freak show to see where it goes. There are some really excellent people.... Much like me, values from me... who need to understand exactly what this detriment will engage in, how low, and how sick. It would be more than nice to be wrong... I wish, but God reveals.

-> Chapter XIV "Second Sons"
Chapter XV ''Mother''
After all this, she needed to relax, to wash away the terrible gaze she still felt on her body. So that evening she lay in a bathtub filled with hot water, her hair still tied in a bun to keep it from getting wet. She lay there for some time with her eyes closed and enjoyed this pleasant moment when the hot water enveloped her body and Missandei gently washed her..
But she couldn't help but think about what she heard that day and about the future. If she is to conquer the Seven Kingdoms, she must be prepared for war. She needs cavalry. Even if she managed to acquire the Second Sons, two thousand cavalry would still not be enough.
She began to wonder where she could get a large amount of cavalry, but only one thing came to her mind and it was something she didn't particularly like, but she decided to ask Missandei about it.
"You said you know nineteen languages... Do you also know dothraki?" she started the topic with this question.
"Yes." Missandei replied, washing her arm.
"Could you teach me it?"
"I could, but it's... It's a hard language. Guttural and hard." she paused for a moment to soak the sponge. "Actually... Why would you want to learn it?"
"I was just wondering about the future. If I want to claim the throne, I need a cavalry. Dothraki are great at combining horse riding and fighting, aren't they? Even their deity is some... Big Stallion?"
"The Great Stallion." Missandei corrected her with a slight smirk on her face. "But the Dothraki have a very different culture. They lead a nomadic lifestyle, they do not settle in cities, and you plan for it. Besides, they are afraid of the seas."
"Why?"surprised, she turned her head to look at her friend.
"Sea water is poisonous to horses. These animals are an integral part of their lives, they will not board a ship or cross "poisonous water"." she explained.
"But they follow their... Khal." she said a bit uncertainly, because she wasn't sure if that was what the Dothraki leader was called. When Missandei didn't correct her - which means she remembered correctly - she continued. "They won't cross the sea if their khal orders them to?"
"It's not that easy to gain a khalasar. Dothraki follow power, not specific bloodlines or gold. If you would like to get your khalasar, you must prove your strength." she explained to Visenya, adding fragrance oil to the water. "There are certainly many other - and easier - ways to gain cavalry. But if you still want to learn Dothraki, we can start lessons even today."
"Yes, I would like to." she made herself more comfortable in the bathtub, a little deeper under the water, and closed her eyes, inhaling the beautiful, floral scent of the oil. "I'm a quick learner."
"If you really only learned Valyrian from books, you must have a talent for languages. You speak this language really fluently."
"It's a beautiful language, it just gets into your head." she replied, hearing Missandei putting the oil aside somewhere.
"Truly, the Gods could not have created a more perfect language. It is the only one suitable for poetry."
She lay there for a moment, breathing calmly, until she suddenly heard Missandei's sharp intake of breath. Her first instinct was to straighten herself up, grabbing the edge of the bathtub with her hands, but then she slid a little lower to let the water cover her breasts again when she saw that someone had broken into her tent. The man was wearing the clothes of the Unsullied and was holding a dagger to Missandei's throat, his free hand covering her mouth. How did he get here? Is he going to kill her? Where the hell are the guards?!
"Don't scream or she will die." said the stranger, although after those few words Visenya thought she knew that voice. He walked around the bathtub and stood in front of her, slowly removing the blade from the terrified girl's throat. Then he reached for his helmet and... Yes, her suspicions were right. Daario Naharis, was that his name?
As soon as he showed his face, the dagger returned to her friend's throat.
"What are you doing here? What do you want?" she covered her breasts with her hand, as if the water, which was a bit cloudy with soap and oil, wasn't enough. She felt very bad that a man was looking at her like this.
Of course, many people saw her naked, but they were always only maids who washed or dressed her, never a man. She could play seductive and emphasize her beauty to try to get what she wants, but it was only an appearance. In reality she wasn't like that, the most intimate contact she had with a man was when Jaime kissed her. She still remembered it and sometimes thought about it, even though she tried to push that day out of her mind, because it was also the day she lost Selaria.
"You."
"Me?" she asked, her eyes widening in surprise. Should she call for help? No, then he would definitely hurt Missandei... What if he hurt her too? No, if he wants her - in any way - he won't hurt her, so the first thing she needs to do is keep Missandei safe. "Let her go."
"Don't scream, beautiful girl." he said to Missandei and finally let her go. She immediately went to stand next to Vis, who was still sitting in the bathtub.
"They sent you to kill me." Visenya didn't ask, she stated a fact, but he nodded anyway, smiling. "Why don't you do it?"
If he hasn't attacked her yet, she's probably safe. But why? He doesn't look like the kind of person whose plans would be thwarted by fear.
"Because I don't want to."  he replied, as if that explained everything.
"And your captains didn't mind? Or rather you didn't tell them, otherwise you wouldn't be here."
"It looked a bit different..." he took off the bag that he kept on his shoulder and poured out... Two heads belonging to his captains.
There you go, her dream had just come true to get the head of the one who treated women like objects, but she was completely indifferent to the other one. She looked away, a little less than Missandei, but just like her, she didn't want to look at it.
"So how did it look like?" she asked, her head still turned, but she was glancing at Daario.
"We argued."
"About what?"
"About you. Or rather, your beauty." hearing this answer, she furrowed her eyebrows and turned completely towards him. So her plan worked at least somewhat? "It didn't mean as much to them as it does to me."
"And that's why you decided to kill them?"
"You say it like it's something strange. I do what I like, I am guided by simple values."
There was only one thing she could agree with him on, because she knew it was true - beauty, that it sometimes messed you up, that it caused conflicts and could manipulate you. However, she did not consider it of such great value that it was worth fighting for. Freedom and the right to a dignified life were much more important. And in some circumstances, revenge too...
But she's not a man, maybe that's why she'll never understand it.
"And that's why I should trust you?" she said this with obvious mockery in her voice. "How do I know that one day you won't suddenly betray me?"
"They told me to kill you. I refused. They told me I had no choice. So I replied: I am Daario Naharis, I always have a choice. They drew their swords... So I drew mine too." he explained.
She still wasn't convinced. Should she believe that he will never betray her or kill her because he values beauty in life? Because he killed his comrades, because they wanted him to kill her? In a sense, he was defending her... But he didn't know her, he had only heard rumors about her.
"Turn around." she said, wanting to finally get out of the bathtub. The water and its wonderful smell no longer brought her solace and relaxation, she would rather go out as soon as possible and wrap her body in a bathrobe, but not when he was watching.
Surprisingly, he listened to her without any comment. He turned around and she quickly got up and got out of the tub. She didn't even wipe herself, she just put on the robe that Missandei handed her. She tied it tightly around her waist so that it wouldn't accidentally fall off her and expose any of her intimate parts.
"You can turn back." she stated before saying something more. "Do you want to fight for me?" he just nodded. "I still don't know if I can trust you."
He came within a short step of her. She didn't pull away, even though her instincts told her to do so. |Itsaid that she shouldn't stand like that, but call the guards and have him killed too, but on the other hand... A small voice in her heart said that it was worth the risk. If he wanted to kill her, he would have done it a long time ago. Maybe he really is a simple man with simple values and wants to fight for her just because she's pretty. He took out his sword - or rather it looked like a sickle of sorts - and knelt down on one knee in front of her.
"The Second Sons are yours, and so am I, Daario Naharis. My sword is yours, my life is yours... my heart is yours. I will help you take Yunkai, I will prove that you can trust me, my Queen."
And it looked like he was going to keep his word. Since the morning, he had been planning with her, Grey Worm, Ser Arthur, and Ser Barristan how to get Yunkai. He told them about the back gate through which the Second Sons entered to use the services of slaves in Yunkai - but noted that he did not use them himself, because he believed that it was impossible to make love to a property.
The plan was for the three of them - he, Ser Arthur, and Grey Worm - to enter through this gate, kill the few guards that were there, and open the main gate through which the Unsullied could enter. The city would then fall in a few hours at most.
Of course there were suspicions that it might be a trap, but she decided it was worth the risk. Besides, she sincerely doubted it was a trick. After all, if Daario wanted to kill her, he would have done it already.
So she agreed to this plan.
* * *
She refused to go to sleep. Once it got dark, she couldn't stay still for long. Every now and then she got up from the couch and walked around the tent, with many scenarios running through her head as to how this could all go down.
"We've been waiting too long." she said, taking one grape from the bowl Missandei handed her. She and ser Barristan were with her, they could certainly see how stressed she was. "How long does it take to take a city?" she asked him.
He was about to answer her when they heard footsteps. She quickly passed him and came closer, but... There were only two of them, she didn't see Daario anywhere.
"So...?" she started quietly, but didn't finish. She felt that the stress was growing inside her at this moment and she couldn't bear it anymore, she needed to hear if she had achieved her goal.
"It was as we predicted. The slave soldiers quickly dropped their spears and surrendered." replied Ser Arthur.
As she looked at him and Grey Worm, she had the impression that it wasn't that easy, but she didn't comment on it in any way. She was silent for a moment, and her lips finally curved into a soft smile.
"And... Where is Daario Naharis?"
She didn't have to wait long for an answer, because she heard more footsteps. It was Daario himself, carrying some cloth over his shoulder. He had a proud smile on his face as he walked close to her, knelt down like the previous day, and spread the flag with the Yunkai emblem in front of her.
"The city is yours, my Queen." he said.
In the morning they stood in a short distance outside the gates of Yunkai, surrounded by a small force of Unsullied for safety. People should have understood what happened a long time ago, but will they be willing to leave the city and face the person who took it? After all, Visenya did it to free them, she didn't want them to be afraid of her...
"They won't come out." she said finally, her eyes still focused on the gate.
"They will come out, Your Grace." ser Barristan assured her. "They'll come out when they're ready."
"Maybe they didn't want any changes?" she felt one of the dragons rubbing against her thigh. She stuck out her hand to it, but didn't turn her gaze, it was still focused on the gate.
What if they hate her for ruining their lives? But what kind of life is it that you can't decide for yourself? Maybe they will understand that she wants good for them? That this is a change for the better?
"They will understand that this is a change for the better. They are no longer slaves." replied ser Arthur.
"With time you learn to love your chains."
After all, she didn't want to run away from King's Landing at all at the beginning. She didn't even want to hear about the idea of ruling anything. She only wanted a peaceful life, she changed her mind when Maelia appeared, and the additional trigger was that Tywin wanted to marry her off to Jaime.
But who knows, if it weren't for the dragon, maybe she would have accepted her fate?
Finally the gate opened and people of all ages and both sexes began to come out. It seemed that they wanted to see the person who had released the collars from around their necks. They began to gather in front of her, in that empty, sandy field that was between her and the city walls. When they came very close, the Unsullied put out their spears to keep the crowd from getting to the Queen.
After a few minutes, everyone who was supposed to get out did so, so Missandei stepped slightly in front of Visenya and started talking.
"Bisa iksis Visenya Targārien, se dāria hen sīkuda Dārȳti, se Muña Zaldrīzoti se pryjatys hen belma! Ao enkagon aōha dāez naejot zirȳla!" she spoke until Vis grabbed her hand and interrupted her.
*"This is Visenya Targaryen, Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, Mother of Dragons and Breaker of Chains. To her you owe your freedom."*
"No..." she whispered to her and let her know that she will speak to the people herself. "Aōha dāez daoriot sytilībagon naejot nyke, ziry iksos aōhon! Nyke daor tepagon ziry naejot ao, kesrio syt īles va moriot aōhon! Lo jaelā ziry arlī, emā naejot gūrogon hen aōha belma se gūrogon lo syt aōla, tolvie single mēre hen ao! Se ȳdra daor ivestragī anāy dīnagon ao isse belma arlī!" she said, feeling tears starting to come to her eyes. She saw their faces, the way they looked at her, she could guess what they thought about her. She didn't want them to think of her as someone to whom they had to kneel like before their former Masters, she would rather be like part of their society.
*"Your freedom is not mine, it's yours. I cannot give it to you, because it has always been yours. If you want it back, you must throw off the chains and take it for yourself, each of you. And never let anyone put you in chains again."*
There was silence for a moment. For a while she wondered if she had misspelled some words, but then Missandei would surely correct her. Her heart was beating like crazy again and her gaze was moving from face to face. Finally someone broke out of the crowd and shouted something.
"Mhysa!"
One scream was followed by others, all saying the same thing, only... She didn't know what. It wasn't Valyrian. Finally, the entire crowd was chanting the same thing, and she didn't know how to react, what to do or say.
"Visenya..." Missandei leaned towards her. "It means "mother", it's old ghiscari."
Mother. They hailed me as their mother.
The tears that had been gathering in the corners of her eyes for some time now flowed. She cried with emotion, she never thought she could do enough for someone to be called a mother. She wanted to come between them, hug each of them, tell them how much it meant to her. She wanted to do so much that the day would not be enough, it would not be enough to even thank them.
She may have brought them freedom, but they were the ones who built her self-confidence. Thanks to them, she grew hope that there was something to fight for, that it was worth it. She wanted to continue going through Essos and free the slaves until the concept of slavery disappeared from all dictionaries.
She felt a brush against her leg again, or even both of her legs. She looked down and smiled through the tears of happiness. She crouched down next to the dragons and told them to fly. The four of them quickly took to the air, flying over people's heads and circling the area. They caused a slight commotion, but when everyone saw that they weren't hurting anyone, they stopped shouting at the sight of them. Then she took her first, hesitant step towards the people. She would have made another one, but ser Arthur blocked her halfway. Apparently he was afraid that these people might hurt her. That thought hadn't even crossed her mind.
"They won't hurt me, ser." she said gently. "After all that, collect as many collars as we can take with us." she added before continuing walking toward people. She passed the line of the Unsullied and entered among the people.
She had never felt as good in her life as she did in that moment. They called her mother, everyone wanted to touch her, see her up close. They moved aside to make path for her, smiling and gently touching her shoulders or hair as she passed.
After a while, they were bold enough to lift her above their heads in their arms. She was sitting on the shoulders of two men, and everyone around her kept saying "mhysa" and reaching out to her, and she returned the gesture.
In her entire life, she had never felt so loved and so in her place. After the world had been cruel to her for many years, it was now giving her back for everything she had suffered. These people were strangers to her, and yet she felt like she was surrounded by family. She did something good for the world. There is still a chance to save this world full of cruelties, and she finally started to believe that it could really work, that she could do it.
Daenerys would be proud of this.
One day she will walk through the cities of Westeros like this. She will walk through King's Landing, without guards, through districts where poverty still reigns. One day it will change. Soon. Everything can be changed, it is possible to provide everyone with a job and a decent life.
The world has destroyed her, she will pay back by repairing it.
* * * And at that same moment in King's Landing, Tywin Lannister learned that Robb Stark's body had not been found after the Red Wedding. ~
