Overprotective Father

Of all the things that Danny imagined when he decided to release Dan from his prison, he never thought that he would become his father. And while it was a little weird, he could see the point in it. Dan wasn't his future self, he was a combination between him and Vlad (something he really hated to think about), meaning, technically his son.

Dan also seemed uncomfortable with the new arrangement but he seemed much happier, and since being given access to the castle garden he was actually quite calm. Probably because of his unlimited access to ghost fruits. Who knew that all it took to stop his attempts of world conquest was a couple of ghost strawberries?

The father/son thing continued to be awkward, but they actually grew to like it (as much as Dan denied it). And that was okay, until Dan started... dating people.

And that was fine, really, Dan could date whoever he wanted (although he was too young in the halfa's opinion) but his choices weren't ideal: King Shark, Metron, Constantine, Darkseid, Bane, Morpheus, Brainiac, Deadshot, and more were added to the list. Even as the Ghost King Danny had a headache just thinking about it.

Danny didn't know what the hell Dan was seeing in them, but he decided it was time to interfere. Unfortunately for the Justice League, Danny decided to act like a father just as Dan started dating one of their members. So now an overprotective Ghost King was giving the entire meeting a shovel talk. Ellie was laughing in the background as Dan covered his face, his father was fucking embarrassing.

I want to amend this post, I need multiple things from Criston next season (and season 3, cause why not?) or I will be rioting (in no particular order, with various levels of angst/delulu-ness):

Calling all three of his boys "son" and similarly Helaena "daughter", that or his "sweet girl/boy" both would be preferable.

kissing his kids heads/foreheads. some instances could be; kissing Aegon's forehead as he carries him away from Rook's Rest. kissing Aemond's hair as he holds him outside of Aegon's chambers, his boy thinking he killed his brother. kissing Hel's temple when he visits his grandbabies (Hel angst coming later, savor this while you can).

Criston taking a private knee to Aegon, swearing to him like he had his mother, promising a duty that goes beyond what is expected of him.

comforting Helaena as she is plagued by dreams and prophecies.

playing with his grand kids.

sitting at Aegon's bedside while he heals.

Dad jokes.

bear hugging Daeron when he returns from Oldtown, lifting him all the way off the ground.

the dad "one armed hug shared in moments of fondness and laughter" thing, with Daeron.

Daeron and Criston sharing similar quirks and habits (not necessarily a conscious act by either party, but I still need it)

helping care for Aegon, being one of the few faces that keeps him some semblance of calm after everything, helping change bandages or sponge him clean. just soft moments of pained vulnerability and softness between a dad and his grievously injured eldest son.

praying for his children.

more... handsy... with Alicent, for lack of a better word. just soft comforting touches, like you would expect partners to share with each other. her family has been maimed, murdered, and/or sent to both battle and madness, let him comfort his (platonic) wife goddammit. let them hug actually, that's what I need, I need him to hug her.

sitting with Helaena and Jaehaera after B&C, trying to comfort them the best he can. Helaena going in and out of tears, sometimes she recognizes him, sometimes she doesn't. sometimes she is heartbroken beyond words, others she is angry. no matter what, he is there to protect her. give me a scene of him holding her as well, she needs it, she deserves a hug.

threatening Larys, especially if he pulls a stunt against Alicent like I think he might, knowing he can't kill him, that he's to much of an asset than they can risk going with out, but still hating him for what he does to his Queen. (see this post to understand what I mean by stunt)

embracing Aemond and Daeron, doing the forehead touch thing, each time they go separate ways, knowing any battle could be their last.

his last words being him begging Alicent and his kids to forgive him, apologizing for failing to protect them, for leaving them.

if we do get Afterlife scenes out of this hellish show, give me a scene of him reuniting with his grandkids, kids, and eventually his (platonic) wife. I'm begging.

putting aside a knife of his own to be given to Jaehaera if and when he passes, as a final means to protect her, even from the grave.

let him be emotional, in passing, when he's alone, let him shed a tear or two. I want to see the stress ooze from this man. I want to watch as the pain and death that follows his family breaks him down.

a clear difference between how he advises Aegon in front of the court and how advises him in private. risking a daggar in the throat on account of his son's blind rage and grief to protect his image amongst the court, but sharing a similar blood lust when it comes to avenging his daughter and grandchildren.

at least one shot of him standing with one of his kids' dragons.

just give me Criston being a good dad and (platonic) husband.

You know what's interesting? Din didn't really want to become a dad, but not because he doesn't like kids, but because he felt like he couldn't provide a good life for one.

Din's instinct when seeing Grogu for the first time was to wave his finger at the kid. He doesn't have a distaste for children, if anything he has always had a soft spot for them.

"Travelling with me... It's no life for a kid".

Din didn't want one because he didn't think he could be a good father. But he can, we've seen it. He likes the companionship and I think it's something he's always craved.

Din's journey with Grogu isn't so much him learning to enjoy having kids around so much as it's him learning that he can be a father, that that's something he's capable of doing.

It's refreshing to see that they didn't go with "the macho bounty hunter who hates kids learns to love them" but instead went for "bounty hunter with a soft spot for kids learns that he can actually be a good father".

"I'm sorry I hit you, Jack..." Leon mumbled, frowning as he stayed in the corner.

"Don't apologize to me, Kiddo." He smiled, gently ruffling his hair.

"I'm sorry I tackled you and pulled your hair..." Lea mumbles, walking over to her brother.

"And I'm sorry I bit you..." Leon hugged her, tightly.

"...How do you get them to do that?" You looked at Jack, in complete shock.

"I'm just great with kids!" He smiled at you, putting his hands on his hips.

Your twins were getting along now, that's all that mattered to you.

Warhammer 40k & D&D au

Fell in love with this new reality as it was a break from the destiny that he saw

Literally everyone thinks he is a celestial, possibly an asimar but really with how he looks he would be considered a celestial.

Which in turn also causes a lot of people to be afraid of him as the world was ravaged by an extraplanar war and there are still some devas/and a solar or two left on the realm because they comited the sin of being more than a mindless automaton just like the elves who were left behind.

Surprisingly enough a lot of zazzlians were enamored by him and the blood drinking pfft that's just a celestial quirk probably

Literally no body bats much of an eye when the blood drinking reveals its ugly head inevitably

Of course his brothers are a little shocked and he has his breakdown of not wanting to be culled like the other two but honestly they are willing to look past it

'Sanguinius...' Magnus started, 'We are not father so we have no intention of culling you like our brothers and it is not like we will ever be returning home or seeing Father again.' He spat out the word father like it was something poisonous

He helped Konrad a lot and was one of the few hesitant to let him go off on his own/with Corvus but he felt something calling him

He travelled north and ran into a tribe with a berzerker woman

This became his wife Siv

They have a daughter named Vilka who earned the title 'the bloody'

They are both effected by a curse from a bleeding wrathful god whom had seduced a woman from their tribe generations ago since they are women they earn the gods direct attention and affection

He met Siv as she was at the gates of her village single handedly holding off invaders and he took care of the rest when he decided to intervene.

He took her breath away and well the cheeky licking her bloody cheek helped endear him.

He is very happy and loving. Enjoyed teaching his daughter how to fly and preen her feathers. Was there for when she was growing her wings

One of the few times Sanguinius actually showed his wrath is when Vilka was kidnapped. Something inside of him snapped when he heard her screaming and reaching out her little arms toward him when he landed. Seeing how one of her little wings was broken.

Might have experienced something close to a black rage when it came to that as one moment there were 10 men between him and Vilka and next he was cradling her as he was trying his best to reset her wing and he was soaked in blood.

That's it for now I got to sit down and think about kinks lol

On a rewatch of Mando and the first scene with Din and Grogu in ep 4 is so cute 😭

I love that when Grogu keeps messing with the buttons, Din picks him up and sits him on his lap.

It's the fact that he then EXPLAINS TO HIM WHAT THEY'RE GOING TO DO.
