I find comics where characters with really long hair are shown with some of it wrapped around their arm incredibly entertaining. Because the artists 100% do it to show off the hair, but it is accurate to having hair that long. Thems be hella grabby. I accidentally pull my hair like that all the time, especially when its wet.
However, that does make me think about other long hair physics. And you cant pick and choose, so in my head once I see that they apply. Getting clothes on? Unless you tie it up those dresses will take an extra ten minutes. Waking up after having it down? Have fun untangling it from every limb and pillow. Crawling somewhere? I kneeled on my hair and slammed my head into. A wall the other day. They rarely where pants but for the ones that do, have you ever gotten you hair caught on your belt then go to straighten up? Not pleasant. Shedding long hair is also very not fun, it gets everywhere.

You’ve mentioned a painter Al x Author Ethan before what ideas have u got for that since it sounds so cute
EHEHEH okay
So, Ethan and Alabaster have been friends since seventh grade. They met through Chris and mostly bonded over their respective arts which bloomed into a close friendship.
Now, they subconsciously base a lot of their creations around the other, like Alabaster would draw characters with similarities to Ethan whether it be appearance wise or personality wise in the comic panels he makes while Ethan would write characters (lots of love interests) who acted or looked similar to Alabaster, or his poems would have several comparisons to him.
This was their expression of the silly lil crush they had but neither of them noticed of course. Ethan didn't until his father pointed it out to him (bc im a sucker for my nakamura/tanaka fam takashi didnt notice until ren pointed it) because he thought Ethan and Al were dating 💀
Alabaster, on the other hand, didn't realize until later. He'd had a little stint (about four/five months) where he gave up on art because his father had gotten into his head with that whole "this isn't going to get you anywhere" ideology. So, he didn't create any art until Ethan managed to get him to pick up his pencil 🤷‍♂️ he realized he had a crush on Ethan because he literally couldn't draw anything BUT Ethan.
Ethan confessed to Alabaster with a poem, gave him it and told him it was for an English assignment and he wanted it proof read. He didn't think Al actually realized what it was because he hadn't said anything about the implication until he handed Ethan a lil doodle that had the same vibe as his poem <33
SO thats their silly hs days, onto their post school days ♥
Ethans first published novel, which, surprisingly to him, got a lot of traction was a novel he wrote Alabaster for their anniversary, it was basically their high school experience with two characters they made together. Alabaster drew the cover and official art for the book!
Thats how their fans know them, Alabaster is an artist that has quite a big following where he has his own web comics as well as makes fan content while Ethan is a published author who has a few different series. Their fans are aware that they live together and that Alabaster does the art for Ethans books, but they're not aware of their relationship
And they don't know about their relationship until Ethan brought it up in an interview, he didn't mention Alabaster specifically but he talked about the story behind his first novel which leads to him posting silly photos and videos of Al without his face because he thinks its funny watching fans try and figure out who he is LMAOOO eventually though, he releases a new book and makes a special dedication to Alabaster which reveals that they are, in fact, together.
THEY ALSO make an animated series together based on a series ab greek demigods <33

Sburb Aspects and The Fear Entities - TMA x Homestuck (spoilers ahead!!!)
I love the style of hyper-flexible mythology used by both Homestuck and The Magnus Archives: power systems and personality types are all well and good, but stories are elevated so much when those are combined with structures of the world's metaphysical nature. Few stories do it nearly as great as these two (and if you know any on their level please offer those recommendations!).
That said, I think there's a lot of overlap between their systems. Nothing is 1-to-1, of course, the numbers don't match up and they try to map out different types of concept (one explicitly about fear, the other dubiously about storytelling & other stuff maybe): however, some concepts are similarly touched on between the systems. I intend to explore these links in this post.
(again, spoilers ahead for both stories!)
and a long LOOONG post up ahead!
Tumblr media
Now, I'll explain the obvious ones first for each, then touch on some of the less expected matches.
BREATH
The Lonely: First, I hope this one is clear. The Breath aspect is very explicitly about detachment. If its opposite Blood is about attachment and community, Breath touches on isolation and lacking a place. See how HS's Egbert values their friends throughout the comic, but once it ends they become a shut-in. The fog aesthetic also fits the wind theme.
The Vast: Speaking of a wind theme, those who follow The Vast have a more positive view on Breath's detachment, and value their freedom very highly. See how Mike Crew lashes out at Jon when he feels John disrespect his desires and then proceeds to make him feel Lots Of Quick Movement (how Breathy!). Now, onto the weird ones.
The Desolation: Why link The Fire Entity with The Wind Aspect? Well, if The Lonely applies for having no attachments, then The Desolation applies for being the pain of losing those attachments. See how its agents target the homes and families of its victims, leaving them with nothing, cold and shelterless after the fire wanes.
The Hunt: Breath is the aspect of Direction/Motivation and Movement, and The Hunt is all about perpetual chase and goal-seeking.
The Stranger: Breath is associated with levity & humour & magic/clownery, like The Stranger's circus aesthetic. Not to mention The Stranger's penchant for wayward vagabonds (haha), those with no place to call home and always on the move.
BLOOD
The Buried: Things that these two have in common: duty/crushing responsibility/obligation, pacts/promises/transactions, bondage/shackles, metal/soil/the element of earth, and basically everything else.
The Corruption: Penned in some ways as opposing The Lonely, it's also known as The Swarm and The Hive. It's about NEVER being alone, losing your individuality, etc. Also opposed to The Desolation.
The Flesh: Well, Blood is the aspect of the Purely Physical, the Material, the reality of our form, and The Flesh focuses on the idea that we are naught but meat with no spirit. Plus, y'know, blood & viscera imagery doesn't hurt. (okay it probably HURTS but y'know!)
The Hunt: This fear's literally pseudonymised as "Blood"! Touched on in a couple of episodes, The Hunt's domain expands into the fear of the pack turning if you take a wrong step, so you better damn well conform or else!
The Slaughter: Us Vs Them. Conflict is nothing without opposition, and your side matters more than anything in war. You have a duty, and if you neglect your obligations, blood will be spilled.
The Web: Everyone's connected, everyone has a role to play, no man is an island and all actions affect everyone. The Web's domain over addiction could be linked to Blood's claim on dependency... Also, rope bondage?
SPACE
The Vast: Dimension & distance & depth, size & scale, the universe as an ocean, the incomprehensible vastness of reality. These two are so deeply similar, conceptually.
The Lonely: In Calliope and Jade's discussion on the nature of reality, it is revealed that the path of the Spacebound is especially prone to loneliness. Recall the isolation of every Space player before entering the game, and "MAG 57: Personal Space".
The Corruption: Space is biology and growth, and while I can't remember any specific Corruption statements on motherhood I can easily imagine a woman birthing a plague of worms and beetles (or perhaps frogs!), and doting on her "children". It feels like a statement that *should* have happened somehow, it's just so obvious a version of Corruption's themes, y'know?
The Eye: "Those bound to the aspect of Space are, as the name suggests, concerned with the big picture. They are patient, masters of the art of ‘wait-and-see’, and are inclined to take things as they come." Space is the most passive aspect, while The Eye is arguably the most passive Entity (beside The End).
The Extinction: The Spacebound hold an "understanding that sometimes you have to let something burn to the ground in order to build it back better and stronger than before. To this effect, they tend to be innovators, concerned with creation and redemption. Catch them recycling the old to make the new, the fresh, and the beautiful."
TIME
The End: Time's the aspect of endings, conclusion and death. Next.
The Slaughter: Music, rhythm, regularity. Pressure, aggression, action. Different vibes, but surprisingly high overlap.
The Hunt: Was debating whether this was appropriate, since Time values destination over journey while Hunt values the chase over the catch. However, even with this difference, they both hold dominion over unstoppable forces and strict determination.
The Web: How can your free will matter in a clockwork universe? We see Dave struggle with his agency, knowing that only his actions in the Alpha timeline matters. Time loops are very Webbish.
The Extinction: Time is also about what comes next, after the end. Progress, technology, change and eternity are the nature of Time & The Extinction. Out with the old, in with the new.
LIGHT
The Eye: Knowledge, information, sight & light, being noticed whether you like it or not, sorting things into neat discrete categories, focus & clarity & attention. They're the same damn thing! This is the Light of Rose, Doc Scratch and Aranea
The Web: Light players struggle with agency, whether there's any greater meaning, any purpose, any master plan behind life. Well, if The Mother of Puppets has her way, EVERYONE can have a purpose and contribute to her master plan! (Might not be a nice plan, but hey.) This is the Light of the Serket sisters, Vriska & Aranea.
The Hunt: Part of Lights sway over knowledge is its dominion on exploration, discovery, seeking. These aren't *traditional* Hunt symbols but they're certainly present in the text, see most of the Hunters in South America.
VOID
The Dark: Okay, I shouldn't need to explain the link between these two. Obscurity, concealment, secrecy, mystery, the cold, water symbolism, emptiness (especially in space), deaf/blind/losing senses, and literal darkness/shadow? They're basically the same!
The End: The domain of non-existence.
The Flesh: Void, like Blood, deals with the physical world and denies greater divine purpose. Lends itself well to hedonism and empiricism. See Equius and his huge muscles.
The Spiral/Stranger: Falsification of senses and reality, deceit and blurriness, obsession and obstruction. Distortion & Unknowing.
The Vast: Deals with cosmic insignificance, as does Void. See also the ocean imagery.
The Extinction: Again, the idea that we don't matter, and a return to a blank canvas for something new.
HEART
The Lonely: Being alone with yourself, no outside interaction to speak of, longing for love? SO Heart-coded it's unreal.
The End: Heart deeply values The Self Being A Thing That Exists, thus fear of The End must affect it worse than maybe any other aspect.
The Flesh: I'm thinking of body dysmorphia here, the idea that your physical identity doesn't match your Truest Self. See Jared Hopworth's gym, and the perfection its members strive for.
The Hunt: Known as one of the most primal Fears, the Hunt taps into our base, bestial nature more than any other. Heart presides over base instinct, and is associated with animal imagery
The Stranger: "Who will you be, with a name or three, and a stranger's face worn wrong?" - Identity issues are a whole thing. Deals with things not being what they "should", messing with presentation and souls.
MIND
The Spiral: Mind = Sense, equally in terms of logic and perception. The Spiral distorts logic and perception equally. Mind is also about dishonesty to the self, and you can hopefully see the link to Es Mentiras a.k.a. "It Is Lies" there. See The Distortion's identity crisis.
The Web: Mind is also about Choice, of karma, the interconnectivity of everything and thorough planning. The Web is the entity of weaving plans, interconnectivity and the questioning of your own agency and choices.
The Buried: Perhaps a bit tenuous, but Mind touches on karma and I see that as being "trapped by your choices".
LIFE
The Corruption: Uncontrolled growth and biological imagery. I see Life less as bugs (though they're still viable symbols, just less obvious ones!), and more as plant overgrowth, encroaching mold.
The Flesh/Hunt: Life is about consumption, food and domination, the assimilation of the weak to the strong, growth at no expense. Following your desires with no obstacles, fashioning yourself how you see fit. If Aspects had true name like TMA entities, Life could be the "It Will Eat & Grow".
The Extinction: Even without us, life will find a way. Nature shall reclaim all. Isn't it beautiful? Poetic?
DOOM
The Desolation: Pain, searing flame, loss, and sacrifice. Very very Doom.
The Corruption: Rot, disease and decay. Very very Doom.
The Buried: Restriction, limitations, etc. Very very Doom.
The Flesh: Oh my GOODNESS, those factory-farming episodes are DISTURBING. The utter helplessness, the looming tyranny of machines, the exploitation of your body before and after death... SO very VERY Doom. Recall the tragedy of The Ψiioniic Helmsman.
The Web: Fate, predetermination, bondage and learned helplessness. You get the drill by now.
The Extinction: Fossil fuels, factory farming, deforestation, political terrorism... Continuing on our path, Doom and Extinction as synonyms would be inevitable unless things change.
HOPE
The Spiral: "I am the throat of delusion incarnate" - every Hope player ever. Belief, whether in truth or falsehood, is the domain of Hope. I would also like to draw attention to the spoiling of belief, hope, faith and delusion in the "Desecrated Host" two-parter.
The Corruption: Hope is about a different kind of growth than Life but growth nonetheless, and Hope also touches on love as a form of desire. Corruption statements have a heavy emphasis on love, see "MAG 157: Love Bombing" (also features a literal cult belief system!!!)
The Extinction: The Catastrophic Change need not be so catastrophic, if we rebuild after. If Rage shatters glass, Hope will make a mosaic of it. If life as we know it ends, who's to say what comes next can't be better?
RAGE
The Stranger: Carnival, theatre and circus, masks and mannequins. The doubt of everything you encounter is what Rage is all about!!! It's perfect, honestly.
The Slaughter: Aggression, rabidity, anger, unpredictable violence, (in) justice, overhaul of the natural order. Dionysian madness, Pt. 1.
The Desolation: Hope is potential, Rage opposes Hope, and Desolation is the destruction of potential. Rage is happy to see (some parts of) the world burn. The aspect also touches on physical pain, and intensity of emotion.
The Flesh: Carnival, literally "farewell to meat", is the major symbol of Rage as mentioned already. Another case of Flesh's rejection of divine faith, manifesting Rage as Doubt (skepticism and empiricism).
The Hunt: Single-minded dogged determination, the denial of other possibilities in pursuit of The Undeniable Root, the unbreakable truth. PURE adrenaline. Fangs and horns and claws are also very Rage-y vibes.
The Spiral: Doubt of the senses, doubt of the self, doubt at its core. Dionysian madness, Pt. 2.
The Extinction: The Rage-bound are prone to believe that our world is unjust, unstable and unsustainable. All that's needed for everything to crumble is a little shake-up.
* Final Wrap-Up:
The Aspects connected to the most fears are Void and Rage, tied at 7. Makes sense, since the unknown is so central to horror and Rage is literally the aspect of fear! Of course half the fears would connect to either of those.
Doom & Blood tie second at 6 each (also sensibly scary). Mind, Light & Hope tie last at 3 each. The rest all have 4-5.
The Fears which line up with the most Aspects are Extinction at 7 then Hunt and Flesh each with 6 - half of the whole Aspect wheel!!! Funny how it's arguably the most primal Fear and the two most recent Entities which are most prominent.
The Dark alone aligns with just 1 Aspect and The Eye, funnily enough, has a mere 2. I can't really see them as anything else when they are SO similar in concept to Void and Light (though I did come around to Spaceye in the end).
Phe-YEW. Now THAT was a long post, anda took a while to write (presumably to read too!)
So now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna use my discoveries to help myself write a D&D campaign!
(Feel free to rb/comment w/ any of your own connections, if there's any in the table I didn't explain, and any links you think I missed or that don't fit here (I was mostly trying to think of what Fear the aspect would INSTILL, not what the Aspect-bound would be scared of since that would mostly be the opposite aspect's territory, but some of these might start to slide into aversion a bit. Also! I was thinking of connecting Buried to TIme or Space, but eventually decided Hunt and Eye fit them better. Maybe you can connect it better than I could?)) (^_^)c

for the ask game: 3, 6, 16, 19
3 was answered!
6.) speaking of tv adaptations, why would yours get cancelled? (other than capitalism)
i dont get this question bc short of ending it early outta burnout every single reason i can think of a show getting cancelled is due to capitalist pressures or motivations
16.) imagine the entire story takes place but in the meantime the characters all also have tumblr. what kind of (terrible) tumblr posts would happen?
all of them are consummate posters. its the hs dna.
sicely: barely any blog presence. stays in their lane. fandoms include star wars, fallout, firefly, buffy, pokemon. likes all of antheas posts. has a sideblog for their comics and music.
anthea: flowers, recipes, web weaving. in troll-classic fashion posts wrong things to piss off her friends sometimes. keep em guessing. fandoms include sailor moon, cardcaptor sakura, ptutu, fullerverse
ari: blog is 50% journal for schoolwork/personal research, 50% x files and doctor who fanfic. other fandoms include psych, fullerverse, death note, pathologic
lucerne: runs a character askblog and also has a surrealist webcomic that went viral that people are obsessing over what it could possibly mean, if its ironic, or what the author is trying to convey and who they are. lucerne aint telling. Fandoms include OTGW, Gundam, Akira, indie and foreign horror films.
opal: im sorry to say that opal would believe misandry is real and would dedicate a not insignificant portion of his blog to it.Is physically incapable of not interacting with things that make him mad so hes constantly getting into dumb bullshit fights. Fandoms include Pokemon, Yu Gi Oh, JJBA, one punch man, steven universe.
jiro: anime gifsets and dedicated liveblogging. Sends anon hate on opals behalf to his enemies, getting him in the crossfire and then hes all like WHATD I DO TO WARRANT THIS as if its not abundantly obvious its him doing it. Fandoms include gundam, nge, akira, star wars, sailor moon, hxh
diane: actually uses her blog like a Web-log. posts long diary entries about her interests, essentially mini-essays, at regular intervals. fandoms include steven universe, gravity falls, otgw, hilda, she-ra, mlp.
fred: reblogs poetry and ceramics inspo mostly, posts his own ceramics progress shots and screenshots of his animal crossing towns. fandoms include gravity falls, otgw, mlp, sailor moon, pokemon
19.) describe the sillies you think about but that dont go in the story.
ari and anthea are in a silent prank war and have been for as long as anyone can remember. they have rules that they adhere to rigidly, despite never having discussed them with each other ever. if in each others presence they will deny such a war exists, but will talk about it privately. opal and sicely are making a webcomic on a rudimentary geocities page, it has over 100 pages. lucerne and jiro watch mecha anime on vhs in his basement playroom. diane keeps bringing home wild animals as pets and fred keeps secretly releasing them bc he doesnt want a fucking squirrel in his house. midas collects snowglobes and those little glass animals. araceli will stop mid-fight to infodump about cetaceans and her only friend for the past few years has been a talking bird she loves to argue with. thomas thinks canned coffee and a cigarette is a full breakfast and has a collection of vampire erotica

re dash osmosis thingy (I know I don't post it but I feel it's a safe assumption that it's crossed your dash more than once at some point): Homestuck
(ask game link)
PERFECT choice i know basically Nothing about hs! lol
here is what i think i know...
is a web comic? but also has songs made for it? (toby fox did some? had original megalovania?) ...and also sometimes animated? uh. idk
pixel art, video game bro humor, lots of bright neon green
has like a thousand bajillion chapters?
ugly south park-esque lookin characters
lots of problematic content? something about incest or pedophilia or rape or all of the above?? either way, def not a shining example of a harmless piece of fictional media
main character is named... jake? maybe?? uh. someone else is named rose i think?
horns???
one time i Did try to read hs but i didn't get too far apparently cause it was just a lot of chapters about the main kid being stuck in his bedroom and doing dumb shit like his laundry or something?? (was i even reading the right comic?)
i always see these posts that are like interesting concepts or images or something but then all the comments from ppl are either "you just recreated homestuck" or something like that one monty python reaction image with the soldier whose trying rlly hard not to say anything. i never understand these posts and they make me mad bc no one explains the joke bc "EvEeRyOne" knows about homestuck 🙄
just a Fuck ton of fandom discourse and controversy
um yeah i think that's it? is homestuck about video games and nerdy culture? i can't imagine it has an actual plot?

Homestuck is a story of a kid and his friends and a game they play together :)
and oh man i can't believe i googled this pic in the year of the lord 2022 but. alas.
Tumblr media
yes this is going under read more
OKAY FIRST OF ALL TECHNICALLY SPEAKING?
it's a webcomic except not really. the way it's written is heavily based on old text-based adventure games, with a few panels with art and everything else written underneath, either from the point of view of a narrator or with chatlogues/dialogues of the main characters the comic also has some animation (or "flashes"), some occasional minigames and RPG-like games and songs, some of which made by toby fox
and yes i'd argue that a lot of things in HS aged poorly or weren't well written from the very start but the songs are literally all bangers. like even if you don't follow homestuck i cant not recommend the songs a LOT of stuff was really a product of its time too. like there's a lot of lolrandom humor, occasional jokes that would likely not fly rn that while can be excused with "these are 13 years olds and also like all them is canonically dealing with internalized homophobia, undiagnosed mental health issues or both" some parts really aged like milk
the entire plot is divided in 7 acts, with sub-acts and intermissions between each one of them to "divide" the story in chapters. like the first one is all "outside" the game the, the second introduces more characters, act 5 is the best one, act 7 is only the final flash to conclude the entire story
...and yes okay the story is, again, about a kid and his friends and a game they play together. basically on the 13th of April 2009 best boy John becomes 13 years old and recieves a game to play with his pals. It's a game that literally alters reality and that, once an item in the game is activated, summons a meteor. just roll with it this is how this universe works. "oh the gang needs to save the world then?" nah lmao the world is literally doomed their goal is to reach worlds spawned from the game, become gods, defeat the final boss and create a new universe
of course however things dont go as planned :)
all of this is explained approximately 1% into the whole story by the way
other than this, the kids are also dealing with a bunch of trolls from another world (the candy corn zodiac dudes), a bunch of NPCs from the game, alternate timelines, the literal goddamn author and lots and lots of death. Like HS is kinda infamous for killing of characters left and right. It has it's own set of rules to keep most of them relevant, like introducing ghosts, "dream" selves, the alternate timelines (Dave especially is SUCH a fun time he gets time-related powers and he gets to see SO many version of him dying :) ) or the whole way death works once the characters become gods, in which they can die only if their death is "just" (so if they were fucked up and evil and their death was justified") or "heroic" (so if they sacrifice themselves to protect someone, basically)
and. yes again homestuck isn't a story to take lightly, reading it requires a LOT of critical thinking, but it honestly has some of the best written kid protagonists I've ever read? Like with some duds of course *cough*gamzee*cough*act6vriska*cough*calliope*cough*, but most of them are really well fleshed out, with lots of flaws and good qualities, funny as hell, and for most of them their traumas and problems are integral part of their character growth - and yes while you get kind of used to see them die over and over have some of them Actually Die is. genuinely shocking and hurts so much?
like again shoutout to Dave but also Karkat because they start off as the "cool kid" and "angry kid" tropes and yet they get so much growth, learning to understand their limits and rationalizing traumas from the past. like the very last scene we get with Dave before the final battle is one of the best written pieces of media I've ever read
..........................................you just need to kind of. First of all pull a death of the author since they're kind of a douchebag and also remember that this started in 2009, likely with no intentions of making it a story as big as it ended up being. I don't think I would recommend HS to someone who "wasn't there" not for gatekeeping but specifically because. It's a product of it's time, and I think that if you finish Act 1 (in which basically nothing important happens, if not putting down the bases of the general tone) and aren't into it you likely won't likei t even when it gets so much better since
yes it's a story with very serious topics that WILL take seriously it's characters, but it's also a story that not only would drop everything from a page to another because the author decided to commit character assassination for his fav but. also one of the plot points is that the main villain of the first half went on a murder spree because he didn't want to dress like a clown. one of the plot points is that insane clown posse and guy fieri became presidents. one of the plot points is that the author has a crush on dante basco and rufio from "hook" is mentioned so many goddamn times. a plot point has buckets being used for reproduction. this is a canon line.
Tumblr media
so is this one
Tumblr media
and also it's a shame that they didn't do anything else afterwards :) that there is no hiveswap even if the kickstarter literally broke a lot of records :) that there is no epilogue :) that there is no sequel :) friendsim can stay but it's on thin fucking ice
TL;DR: homestuck is the most webcomic ever and also the ending was fine you guys are just mean

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!!!!
Since I didn't finish my New Years Post or Christmas post in Time this year, I thought I'd share old art work for Charles before I turned this series into an into an Original Web Comic that would only be inspired by the Henry Stickmin series. It's now more a comic that only is nodding its inspiration to Henry Stickmin series, due to the direction the story has since gone, it was the best decision for this comic.
If you will like a Sneak Peak of say the look the character inspired slightly by Charles looks like, let me know and I'll make a new post.😁😉😊
***Please Note This is only what the 1st First Draft of what Charles looked like in the comic. There was a whole different face I gave him like a month or two after this first draft was made. But otherwise everything else about the body and clothes stayed the same. The newer face was more human actually, while retaining the stickman look.***
For example I have two of my favorite characters to write and draw for, having used them in my proof of concept recently, if you wish I'll take a pic and I dare you to guess who the two characters were in game.
After two years working on this diligently, it made me realize it was better becoming it's own work. I have another Henry Stickmin series that was my original HS Comic plan I created circa around 12/4/2020.
Occures after Valiant Hero.
Charles moved on, a true Hero & Guardian of Heaven despite the inmesne heartache of his regrets. He as an angel, should be satisfied and at peace, right?! But this clawing ache of the regret wouldn't relent. The pain it festered and even corrupted his otherwise at peace soul. Be careful what you wish.
A normal retrieval mission after a storm, becomes the answer to his sinful greed. When tragedy befalls a group after a freek helicopter accident, the opportunity of his Afterlife presented itself-hellbent, call him a fool... he was taking it! The chance this dying pilot was giving up! Despite the argument of his unit... He was Going to live again!
However, Heaven isnt to kind to those who reject its gifts.
This.... this isn't right!
Staring his bandaged body in the eyes, he knew this was an utter mistake!
This body isn't the pilots. No, Chalres woke in the form of the copilot-a woman who for the life of her HATES flying with an immeasurable passion-the "forced copilot" of the tragic group. If only she moved on like SHE was supposed to! Now forced to cohabituate Her body, Roger Chance is forced to aid this disasterous pilot who took over her life or run the risk of being expunged from the world of the living for good.
Living together may prove dangerous for both of them. Enemys of his past arent so easily fooled! By living again, Charles may have doomed them both. Those he killed aren't to keen on letting the opportunity slide, this time.
Danger is around every corner, what's worse is the Death looming in the smiling shadows. Figures of a bygone era are on the hunt, for the man who brought them ruin. Can they trust the shadows around them & those they love?! Or will they find themselves the mice thrown into the cats maze?!
Find out in the Heroic continuation of the tragic ending Valiant Hero-Their Valliant Seconds!
Death is Their End & Their Chance He bought-Take advantage of Your Time, Before your Seconds Run Out!
I'll be Posting more on here and Instagram of progress in the coming weeks.
I will re-open questions eventually for questions about the work or for author note sections when I take a breaks now and after I get the comic out. But otherwise, this will no longer be an ask comic, but I'll have segments for characters to answer asks or to discuss events and the process if asked.
Till then have an AWESOMLY SWEET DAY!!!!
Happy New Year Everyone!!!! Hope it's one amazing year for you!!!

I think being born when I was sort of made me immune to the "oh god it's HOMESTUCK" vibe.
Like I get it, the fandom is a whole mess, the comic is long running and has had huge cultural impact on the internet and thus the world at large for my generation and the following generation given our connection with the internet.
I won't deny that I "get it" when people make HS out to be some big thing, to say "there will never be another web comic like Homestuck" isn't a false statement at all, as even long after it's ending the remnants of it continue to crop up in things like Undertale allowing it a natural passage into modern relevance. I mean it sounds absurd to say that the fucking Pope has heard a song that originates from Homestuck yet that's the world we're living in.
However at the end of the day Homestuck has always just been "a web comic" to me. I've picked it up before, read a few arcs into it and got bored; put it down and watched plot summaries. I've listened to the OST (yea it has one of those which sounds weird but, yea it's pretty good.) I've heard all the memes. I can identify the big ones, Dave Strider, Vriska, ... That weird frog thing at the very end that like makes a universe or is a universe or something?
But I have never really "got" two big things. One of those being the hype around it in the sense of like "oh no it's HOMESTUCK! Oh god oh no oh fuck we are all doomed, the unspeakable evil is upon us!" And trust me this is after I accidentally introduced a friend of mine to a couple of people in troll cosplay because I was like "you could use some friends, oh hey there's some goths you like goths let's go say hi!" My one attempt at helping a friend make some friends resulted in said cosplayers being like "hey man you want some hard drugs?" Which kind of snowballed. SO LIKE YEA I understand why people might find the loud majority of the fandom to be a bit odd, but couldn't you say that about literally any fandom? I'm being real here, I've been a part of a ton of fandoms and by and large the loud majority are typically cringe and annoying to even the people who DO like the thing.
The second thing I never got was the hype for the actual web comic. Every time I try to read it I get bored. I understand the concept, I understand the general plot, I don't even think the concept is bad or anything. But ironically my reason for reading it is to better understand the world building and the characters and the plot and when it tries to explain those things I sit there like "when do we get to [big pop culture thing] I was warned about the [big pop culture thing]." Which may just be my ADHD acting up but I never found the narrative or characters or anything about it to necessarily be super gripping to me.
Whenever I say I'm considering trying to read it again I typically get one of those two kinds of hype from people in response. People who think it's the bane of existence and I should "remain pure and innocent" as if I didn't grow up during the PEAK of its popularity and don't already know about it, the things that inspired it, and literally lived through going to conventions with HS meetups. Or I get people who are so excited that I'm finally going to bear witness to the holy experience that is HS, and then they get super let down when I get bored because I'm like "this dudes stuck in his home, is that it? Is that why it's called that?"
Maybe I'm weird or boring or whatever, like maybe it's all one big joke and I'm just not playing along because I don't get it and I'm being super lame like that time I went around on April fool's spoiling all the pranks because I thought it was stupid to randomly pretend to have an asthma attack since someone could actually have an asthma attack and the teachers wouldn't know because some asshole who doesn't even have asthma thought that was a good prank, which it wasn't but like I didn't need to be a narc about it I was just a dumb kid. So I guess that's sorta how I feel now towards HS, like it's a joke made by my generation for my generation and somehow I don't "get it" and more often than not, that lack of knowledge has lead to me being confused by HS jokes that never made it into the pop culture.
Like yea I've osmosis'd a lot of it, I know about shit like "I warned you about the stairs bro" and such, but the second someone mentions a character by name who isn't either Dave, Vriska, or I think there's some dude named Karkat? Like I'm totally in the dark.
I assure you if you think the jokes and humor of homestuck is so bad it will do irreversible damage to my psyche you gotta understand that the internet was just sorta, like that? Back when I was growing up and the result is that if there was any damage to be done it's already done.
I don't know man maybe I'm just not one of the "cool kids" of my generation or something.

I could look this up, however you seem to be the resident expert. What's the short form lore with Home Stuck and how is there so much of it given I'm told it was only a very short web comic?(mind you this might be wrong but I have no idea)
Bro whoever told you Homestuck was short fucking lied to you man lmao. Approx 8100+ pages and at least half of them contain significantly lengthy samples of text that's essential for understanding what's going on. But that pill is a lot easier to swallow because the text is almost never too dry to sift through and is instead usually either hilarious or otherwise engaging with emotional moments between the cast.
As for what it's actually ABOUT:
Four kids play a game that isekais them into a world between universes for the purpose of creating a new universe to repopulate and rule over (or not), while also causing the earth to be destroyed by meteors.
Due to an absurdly long series of events made up of a Spirograph's worth of Time Loops, their game session goes off the rails and they have to work together with a group of internet trolls (who are part of an alien species from another universe literally CALLED trolls who are the grey bug people with candy corn horns you've no doubt seen) to salvage everything going completely FUBAR, all while dealing with their own personal issues.
I dunno why so many people have such issue explaining this, it's essentially a Creation Myth story rooted in Late Oughts/Early to mid New Tens internet culture. And thank God because if went on any longer than that it'd be as awful as the Epilogues and its sequel, which you should ignore because they're about as CURRENTYEAR as you imagine.
If you get into it, look for the fanmade Unofficial Collection which even the author Andrew Hussie himself recommends because after Viz bought the rights to it, they fucked up the page order and all the Flash animations have been upscaled shittily in youtube video format.
Its prequel game series Hiveswap is good. The Hiveswap Friendsim game is good. Pesterquest is good (mostly), really just avoid the Epilogues and Hs^2 and you're golden.
