He's still wary of you, and you don't really mind it one bit- you know where he's coming from, considering his species. And hey- at least he chose a relatively neutral planet to drop you off at. Or so you thought.

When you wake up, it's way too quiet- ship no longer steadily buzzing, engines turned off it seems like as you sit up on the bed, looking around. Energy was still running, since lights were still on, and there was an almost unnoticeable humming from an AC unit, but other than that, everything was still.
"Hello?" You call out- but the only response you get is the slight echo off the steel walls of your room. Nothing else.
Did he really leave you alone? What are you supposed to do now?
You flinch when the hydraulic door hisses loudly, the alien entering the room with a serious, though slightly surprised expression. "You're awake." He observes. "Good. Eat." He commands, throwing a pack of… something at you, a little harshly so, but you still accept them. "I had to get what I know is safe for human consumption. Can't really run around Etis and bark something about humans, after all." He mumbles to himself more or less, cracking his neck. You notice the scratches on his face, as he looks into the small mirror near a cupboard to clean them and place some butterfly tape on the bigger one up his forehead.
"…what happened?" You ask quietly, testing the waters as he clicks his tongue.
"Nothing." He simply answers, continuing to fix himself up before he sighs, and sits down in the corner of the room on a chair, one leg over the other and his arms crossed. His entire body language screams defense- even if he wants to look tough. "Where is your preferred destination?" He asks, and you shrug, deflating visibly.
"..you know, like I said." You shrug. "You can always just leave me here. I don't have a plan." You admit, and he watches you for a moment.
"I don't believe that." He shakes his head, denying your words even though they're true. "I will ask you again. Where is your-"
"Nowhere!" You respond a bit more agitated, though you can feel tears of frustrations well up in your eyes. "I don't know where to go. Throw me out wherever." You tell him.
He, yet again, observes, silently. He doesn't say anything- his eyes simply a grey-ish yellow as he watches you from his spot. You're not sure what that means, though you've seen them change sometimes depending on his mood, so it might be connected to that. He's definitely not human, in that case, if his height was anything to go by already. Great- he probably hates you because you're human, just like most alien species' do.
You can't even blame them.
"What made you leave earth." He questions now instead, and you're confused.
"I already told you-" You start, but he shakes his head, watching you intensely with a piercing gaze.
"I know, and I'm not asking that." He clarifies. "I am asking for what the.. reason was that made you act." He defines more clearly, and you look down at your hands, thinking.
What made you act?
"There.. was a family." You mumble, voicing out your memories. "A mother, alone. Two kids, maybe around four or five." You explain, eyes unfocused as you remember their faces. "She was pleading with an older man, and police. Begging. 'Don't take them', she'd said. 'they're all I have', she'd said." You recite.
It's quiet for a moment too long in his opinion, as he prompts you to continue. "What happened?" He asks, voice surprisingly calm.
"They took them." You say, as if it was obvious- but he notices the distance in your voice. "She'd lost her name, just like me. And therefore, she was no longer a registered citizen- and the children automatically got placed in government care, no matter if she was able to care for them or not." You explain, before you look at him- his eyes a clear but pale yellow as he listens to you.
"I'll never forget her cries." You tell him. "Her.. just, screaming for hours. No matter where I went, I could still hear her."
"I will attempt to verify this incident." He tells you, almost like a threat.
"Then you won't find anything." You smile somberly, laying back down on the bed, curling in on yourself in an attempt for comfort. "Things like these obviously aren't allowed to be published in the media." You say, closing your eyes.
"Convenient." He simply offers, and you nod, before you hear him sigh, and stand up- leather of his pants making distinctive noises as he moves around. "Our next stop is Vao Q4. I will be leaving you there, since it's a relatively neutral planet for humans." He says, before he leaves the room.
And you just fall asleep in silence, barely noticing the engine of the large spaceship starting.

When you wake up again, you move into the bathroom area to clean up and use the gauze Jungkook had left you to at least provide yourself with a makeshift pad for your period. It's when you're just about done, walking out the small room, when the door opens, Jungkook entering with what looks like a metal collar,a small black box-like item attached to the side of it. "Here. Put that on." He orders, and you're not sure what he means- though you comply, having no other choice but to click the collar shut behind your neck. "It has a tracking device. For now, I've set my name as your current owner in case someone asks." He informs you, before looking around. "Put on your shoes." He says, turning around to leave the room.
"Wait- why?" You wonder, and he just turns his head for a second, staring at you.
"We'll be passing by Vides in a few hours." He simply tells you. "And since I don't know what you need, I'll be taking you out with me." He informs you, and you look at him a little longer, making him roll his eyes. "Can you put on your shoes now?" He reminds you almost as if annoyed, and you nod, scrambling to put them on before following him out of your tiny cabin you've been living in.
You're not sure for how long. Time isn't really your strong suit, and without night and day, it's hard to really pinpoint how long you've been on this ship.
"You have a spending limit of 100 currencies. Do not exceed that." He tells you as you both walk through another large door, most likely the main operating room where he lives and watches over the whole ship. There's so many buttons, noises and screens- you're both fascinated and overwhelmed.
He watches you for a moment, before the whole airship shakes, making you fall flat on your butt, before everything stills-
And he chuckles, finding your rather clumsy mistake funny.
"I'll warn you next time we land." He clears his throat, before he rather roughly pulls you up into a standing position by your arm. "Now stay close, and don't talk. You humans only cause trouble the moment you open your mouths." He says, before he leads the way out, large cargo door opening with a hiss.
The moment you're outside, things are bright- and you're greeted with the wet, cool climate of the foreign planet you're on. Many different species are walking around, sounds a little distorted sounding- but Jungkook leads the way, and you follow wordlessly.
"Hey, how much for the slave?" Someone with big lower canine teeth asks, his skin a deep blue. "Looks young. Can it work?" He wonders, and Jungkook turns towards him with a deep red-ish brown gaze.
"She's not for sale." He answers, pulling you close by the back of your clothes. "And can't work for shit anyways." He explains, and you have half a thought to feel insulted by that-
But you're too worried by all the unfamiliar things around you, so you just stay quiet like jungkook had told you to.
The man leaves with a shrug, before you walk with Jungkook down the dusty street, white particles floating without any sense of gravity around. As you enter a large tent, you find yourself recognizing a lot of the items- cartons full of random things in bulk standing around. "Go search for what you need. But stay within my sight." Jungkook orders, and you nod, hesitantly walking around to take a look.
The mood feels tense. It doesn't feel like Jungkook is making sure you stay with him- but rather as if he's guarding you instead.
"Oh, what an adorable guest!" A tall.. being says, clapping her four hands once, jewelry clattering loudly as she looks around with her snake-like head. "Is it yours?" She asks Jungkook, who nods, wary, arms crossed.
"I'm not selling." He says instead of anything else. "I just need things to accommodate for her menstrual cycle." He informs the alien, who nods once, twice.
"Ah yes, I remember humans have quite a complicated one.." the female sounding being says, trotting around before she looks through various boxes. "Little gem, what about these here?" She wonders, and you look at Jungkook first-
Making his eyes flash an orange glow for a second, before they turn brown again as he nods.
When you look into the box, you find the entire box full of thick looking pads, still in their plastic wrapping. You nod quietly to her to tell her that these are what you'd like, and she nods eagerly back. "A quiet little thing." She says, before making a clicking sound in her throat.
"Not really.." Jungkook mumbles to himself. "How much for the entire box?" He wants to know, walking closer to you both, boots heavy on the floor, throwing dust around.
"Hm, I'll make 50 currencies, but just because she smells lovely." The alien grins with her multiple rows of teeth, before she turns towards Jungkook with an outstretched hand.
He some small but thick metal cards into her hands, and she counts them, before she nods. "Jimin!" She yells suddenly, making you hold your ears, and much to your surprise, Jungkook seems to have gotten startled as well, as he..
Holds you close?
A human man walks into the tent, clothes dirty but otherwise well put together. "Bring this box to their ship, yes? And go fetch me Johrta, I need to have a word with that scammer.. " she orders, and the human named Jimin nods, closing up the box before he lifts it-
Waiting for you and Jungkook to move.
You both break apart like burned by hot metal, before you walk up front towards his ship, where Jungkook takes the box from Jimin to place it inside himself- offering him one of the metal cards.
"Is she still treating you fine?" He asks, and Jimin nods.
"I managed to get my own home underground. I'm doing very well- thanks to you." He nods gratefully, before he looks at you. "A new companion?" He asks, and Jungkook scoffs, eyes a suspicious blue.
"Absolutely not." He denies. "Snuck on my ship illegally, now I can't seem to get rid of her." He sighs, making you look at him almost in anger.
What is he talking about?
"Well, I wish you both good luck. And, don't worry." Jimin looks at you, smiling brightly. "He looks all mean and angry but he's real soft on the inside." He snickers, and laughs especially when Jungkook's eyes turn bright pink.
"Shut up!" He snaps back, grabbing your wrist to tug you back into the cargo ship-
Jimin happily waving as the door closes again.
It's quiet for a good moment, before Jungkook moves to lift the box to bring it into your room on the ship. "Are we already leaving?" You wonder, and he nods, dyes calming down slowly.
"Its tense on this planet. I'm not sure why, but I have a feeling we shouldn't be here too long." He simply explains, before the door to your room opens. "I'll leave them here. You can.. change now, or whatever. I'll inform you about our next destination." He offers, before he turns to leave.
"Jungkook-" You say, making him stop in his tracks. "..thank you." You tell him, and he simply nods.
Leaving you alone again.

It was a stupid wish when Jake made it but he didn’t realize just how stupid it was. He and Rick were walking past an d fortune teller machine when Jake put a quarter in. He and Rick were always talking about making a change in their lives that would be thrilling but they each had their own kinks. Jake always wanted someone who had a little more control while Rick always teased him for not being able to fully commit to it. Rick was always into random things depending on what sparked his fire at the moment. The machine came to life and a robotic voice said “make your wish foolish mortal”. Rick laughed at the quarter that was wasted. “You just wish for someone to control your life like you always wanted” as he nudged Jake. “Sure. Why not. I wish I had someone that controlled my life and made me obey everything” Jake said laughing. A card spit out of the machine saying wish granted and they both laughed as they continued walking. They parted ways when they got to Jake’s apartment. Rick continued walking into the night and it was beginning to storm.
That night a large thunderstorm hit the town. The roof of Jake’s apartment started to leak right over his bed and he was forced to sleep in the floor they night as his bed was soaked. He hated living in this run down apartment building.
The next morning Jake was woke up when he smelled something sweaty and unwashed. Right at his nose. It smelled sour. He opened his eyes and seen a foot right in front of his face. He sat upward immediately but found it to give great trouble for some reason.
“You lazy dog. Get up now !” Jake looked up and it was Rick. Only it didn’t look quite like him anymore. “Well? Why are you just looking at me stupid I gave you a command!” Jake slowly got to his feet and realize that Rick was now a few inches taller than himself. Did Rick grow over !? Jake looked up to his friend and seen a thick mustache forming over his lip almost instantly and his stomach began to poke out slightly. Jake tried to ask why was going on but all that would come out was a barking noise like a dog. “Shut up dog. You’re pathetic. You’re going to wake up the neighbors!” Rick pushed Jake down into a seat in the room and Jake felt himself get larger as he felt himself begin to itch.
Tumblr media
He didn’t realize what was going on but he could feel the weight growing on his frame as he continued to get fatter and hairier. While he looked at Rick he could seen the sweat forming on the man. A thick layer of musk began to envelop the room while the clothes that were laying on the bed began to change from jeans and a tshirt to a brown button up and a pair of dark brown uniform pants.
Tumblr media
Jake wanted to tell what is going on but all that would come out was the barking noise. Rick began to put on the clothing and somehow he looked more powerful and more in control than he had ever appeared before. Jake could see a name tag on the uniform flash. One that read “Hop”. Hop? What does that mean. Jake wanted to ask but he couldn’t. He tried to stand up to escape what was going on but when he did he was brought down to all fours. “That’s right dog. Right where you belong under my damn foot!” The newly forming Hop said as he placed his foot on Jake’s bow hairy back and pushed down causing Jake to wimper slightly.
“Come on dog. Time for breakfast!” Hop walked out of the room and Jake was compelled to follow like a lost dog looking for his owner. All while remaining on all fours. He tried to stand up but his body wouldn’t allow him. Each step he took toward the kitchen he could feel himself bulking with more muscle and a padding of thicker fat. Hair getting thicker on his body as well. when he was entering the doorway of the kitchen he could hear what sounded like cereal being poured into a bowl. Hop placed a bowl on the floor next to his smelly booted foot and said “come on dog eat!” While he himself smirked and stood eating a bowl of cereal. Jake again was compelled against his will to listen to everything Hop told him. The bowl had a name. Idiot Jake printed on it. Inside was actual dog food and Jake began to eat it without a moment of hesitation.
Tumblr media
“Good boy. I bet you’re happy aren’t you!” Jake began to bark repeatedly while he ate even faster. Jumping around his food bowl like a stupid dog. “That’s my dog. Now. Get in your damn crate. I’m going to work and you can’t be out all day. You filthy mongrel!” Jake ran to cage and looked at Hop with his tongue hanging out like a dumb dog. He was joe being forced to be a dumb dog while someone else had complete control of him. Hop locked him in his cage with a padlock and walked out of the apartment. The whole time Jake was internally screaming while he was reduced to nothing but a drooling dumb animal with no free will.

Special Grade: Forgotten Silhouettes.
Au.
Hi. New story. Enjoy.
-
"Hey Jaune, --- been looking for you." Said a man dressed in a white jacket, orange hair sticking out from under his bowler hat as he was counting the lien that they made from their last score. He motioned to the closed door.
___ Room.
The other man, him-Jaune, tilted his head but shrugged his shoulders before walking up to the door and opening it up he walked inside, the door closing behind him.
"___?" He called out, but nothing. he sighed, wondering if this was one of ___tricks, he see's ___ mattress and walked up to it, noticing nothing out of the ordinary he was about to go bark at _____ until a piece of paper fluttered onto the mattress.
He looked at the paper with a curious look before grabbing it and opening it up.
<Look up.>
Ja-
Jaune, doing as instructed, looked up, thinking that ___ was up their but to his surprise, it was just another letter. Lucky enough, this one was in bold letters, which made it easier to read.
<LOOK DOWN IN YOUR SHIRT. >
-unee!
"Wuuuh," he said dumbly, Jaune pulled open the crook of his shirt and, like a magic trick, performed on him, stitched inside his shirt... was another note.
"How the hell did she..." Not even going to try and guess that insanity Jaune just read the next note.
<Now look in front of you, dummy.>
Jaune!
Jaune let go of his shirt and looked in front of him, and the next thing he was greeted with were pink and brown eyes.
Jaune!
-
"Jaune!"
Jaune jolted awake with a start as he looked up to see frosted blue eyes looking down at him.
"Yes, specialist Schnee?" Jaune said as he stood into place of his superior.
Winter Schnee, his commanding officer of his unit, Special Grade.
"The general wishes for me to take you to training course for the rookies, he will be on-site as well as the council to see your performance as well," She told him, and Jaune nodded.
"Also, how have you been? Still having sleep problems?" She asked, and Jaune shrugged as he looked down at an object dangling off his right wrist.
"It comes and goes, specialist Schnee, but nothing I can't handle," He told her, which earned him a smile from her, as she put a hand on his shoulder.
"That's good to hear, Jaune, but if you have any problems, you are more than welcome to talk to me," Winter said to him as letting her hand linger for a moment before removing it.
"You know Jaune, you should leave personal momento's here as they could get lost in the field of battle," Winter said to Jaune.
"Maybe you're right, Speciist Schnee, but I just don't feel right when this bracelet comes off," He told her, and Winter tilted her head but nodded anyway in understanding.
Silence suddenly fell between the two as Jaune just raised an eyebrow, and Winter let out an awkward cough.
"Right, also, the General would like a word with you before you head out onto the course, so grab your sword and let head out." She told him her authority voice coming back out.
Jaune nodded and grabbed his sword, doing a major look over before stepping out of his quarters into the hallway with the waiting Winter.
They walked in silence to the general's quarters, but all the while, Jaune couldn't help but feel a deep pang of sadness as all his thoughts were preoccupied on the dream.
The girl with...
Oh... it seems he forgot already.
-
"Ah, if it isn't Jaune Arc, how are you, son?" General Jame Ironwood asked as he held out his hand for Jaune to shake.
"I'm doing alright, sir, ready for this training course you got me doing," Jaune told him, and Ironwood nodded.
"I want you to treat this course very seriously. You're going to be showing the new recruits how it's done, but it will also gauge for me to see if you're ready for your mission, " He told Jaune, who had looked at him with wide eyes.
"Mission, sir?" Jaune repeated, and Ironwood nodded."Yes, I'm thinking of sending one of the 'Special Grade' personelle to Beacon and have them participate in the four year program," Ironwood said as he and Jaune walked to an elevator.
"Beacon? That's Headmaster Ozpin's school, isn't it?" Jaune asked, and Ironwood nodded.
"Why would you need me to attend? Surely I'm more experienced than some average academy student, " Jaune asked, and Ironwood chuckled.
"You're right,'Special Grade' Arc, you are more experienced, but I need someone to keep an eye on the school and more so of Ozpin." Ironwood said to him. " I fear bad times are coming ahead, Jaune, and in those times, I fear for my friend," He told Jaune, who nodded as the elevator descended down.
"I feel as though you are a good candidate to choose from, but only if you nail this course spotless, it will allow me to convince the council to send you to Beacon...is that okay with you?" Ironwood asked, and Jaune nodded just in time as the elevator reached the bottom and opened up to the training course.
Jaune and Ironwood stepped out, Jaune looked up and saw a multitude of people from the Atleasian council while also seeing new recruits as well as Specialist Schnee.
Oh boy, Jaune was starting to get a little nervous having all these eyes on him.
"You'll do well, Jaune. I know you will," Ironwood said as he patted him on the shoulder before walking off leaving Jaune alone at the starting line.
"Oh and Jaune, I almost forgot." Jaune turned his head to Ironwood.
"Be mindful of your path. It's darker than it looks"
Something inside Jaune switched off as something else switched on.
-
"Roman, my friend, how are you?" said Hei as one Roman Torchwick, collapsed down onto the barstool a heavy sigh escaping him as he threw down some lien.
"Bad night?" Hei asked all he got as an answer was Roman chugging down his drink before ordering another.
"Sheesh, is that new client of yours really that bad?" He asked, sending another shot down Roman's way.
"It ain't easy stealing all this dust my friend, that bitch has some big schemes involved and if I don't provide my ass is grass as well as Neo's" Roman said before downing another shot.
"Speaking of Neo, where is she?" Hei asked, and Roman remained silent, not wanting to answer, but Hei already knew the answer to that question. Instead, he poured a shot for him and Roman.
"Things were much more fun with him around," Hei said as he drank the liquor.
"You just like it cause he kept them bikers from destroying your bar," Roman teased, and Hei laughed, which in turn made Roman laugh before chugging down another shot.
"Neo's going to be pissed when she finds out the next stage in the bitches plan" Roman said as Hei hummed in agreement.
"How long has she been chasing leads?" Hei asked, and Roman shrugged.
"Almost three years since the ambush" Roman said and Hei shook his head.
"You think you should just tell her to give up? Move on?" Hei asked and Roman sighed.
"I don't know, old friend...I really don't know"
-
"Please! Stop, I don't know anymore, plea-ack! " Came a pleading man before he was stabbed in the chest, a sharp blade coming out of the other end l, effectively killing the man. His attacker wore a white leotard covered with black pants and white boots. She wore a few pieces of jewelry, namely necklaces. She also had a yellow bracelet. She also wore a worn-out black jacket with a logo of a bunny in the middle, but the jacket was big for her , and it made it look like she was wearing a trench coat.
Her pink and brown eyes glared angrily at the dead man before opening her scroll up and crossing of a name from a list.
"Another dead end, Neo?" Spoke a voice as Neo turned to the man, Roman, her partner in crime and best friend.
Neo gave a silent huff but nodded sadly as Roman walked up to her as she fiddled with the bracelet.
"Hey, where almost done with collecting dust for our client, which means that we're going to be going to the next stage of her plan" Roman said and Neo just crossed her arms and looked angrily at him.
"I know, I'd rather not send you to Beacon of all places, but... we gotta survive this for our sake...it what Jaune wanted after all" Roman said and Neo narrowed her eyes at him.
"Hey-hey, take it easy. I'm not saying he's dead, but...come on Neo it's been four years since that raid... and well... " He was shushed as Neo just turned away from him, gripping at the worn-out jacket.
"I know it's hard... I miss him every day, but if we want to keep searching... we gotta go along with that Cinders plan okay...please" He said as he put a comforting hand on her shoulder. Neo just stood their but eventually, she sighed in defeat before nodding at him with a smile.
"Thanks... Now come on, let's get out of here"
Neo nodded to Roman as they both left the alleyway before law enforcement could show up, and though she couldn't speak it, her mind kept repeating it.
'I'll find you, Jaune'

imagine reader goes camping in the fall, small little secluded campsite a good hike into a forest the locals said she shouldn’t go into and she does anyway. food goes missing, clothes go missing, miscellaneous liquids? on the trees around her campsite, so many little things so she’s concerned about someone being out there with her right,,, so she stays up one night and hears growling and grunting so she peeks out of the tent and sees a wolf like creature tearing open her bag of clothes she lost the other night, and the creature goes through her clothes to find her bra and smells it while his cock twitches and leaks,,,,, grossly fascinated with what she’s seeing she doesn’t realize another one has come up behind her and she screams when she turns to see what was breathing down her neck. crawling out of the tent she’s trapped between the two werewolves now and the one she watched go through her clothes slides his arms under hers and keeps her pinned to his chest while the other one spreads her legs and sniffs her cunt before biting her thigh making her scream and the one holding her laughs and says i think you should’ve been nicer Chris which the other one, Chris, just chuckled before going back to remove your shorts to lazily lap at your clit making you moan causing the one holding you to start marking your neck so you to rut yourself against Chris’s face making him pull away and move up to rip your shirt off saying i think i’d rather you take your time with her Leon before running off so you’re left alone with Leon and he’s absolutely feral marking you, humping your thigh, sucking on your nipples and using his teeth until they bleed you’re just entirely cock drunk before anything’s happened and he knows this as he watches you spread your legs as he strokes his dick a few times, thumb not been close to touching his fingers making you whine when he starts to stretch you out around him and when you try to scoot back he bucks his hips forward bottoming him out instantly making you bleed and scream causing a loud bark from the forest surrounding you as Chris returns with someone else while Leon whispers “maybe listen to the locals when you come out somewhere you shouldn’t be” the new one grabs your thigh and says “maybe put her on her side, let me have a turn” and he does just that putting you on your side both of them in each hole while Chris is fucking your throat and when they’re done they don’t leave and instead take you back to little shack where the new one, you heard them call Krauser says “i can’t believe the locals let her out here during mating season,” Chris agrees while Leon puts his phone away saying “the Full Moon should last another few days” and they should keep you there until it’s done while his eyes rake over your body covered in dried blood and bruises while the conversation becomes muddled as you feel yourself finally relax the last thing you remember hearing is Chris saying they shouldn’t be so hard on you tonight to which Krauser and Leon disagreed (obviously 🤭)
- 💀
(i seriously didn’t think it was that long but i got rid of four paragraphs 👀 and the red text blocks that show up when you max out the text for an ask feel condescending after the sixth time you try to type an ask and it’s still too long lmao but the other four paragraphs were them using her the next night and Leon taking her back to his place after it’s over and they make it a regular trip to meet up with the other two every mating season because there has to be one for werewolves right?)
💀 anon, you’re killing me 🥵 🥵
I love every single bit of this 😩 and they’re absolutely feral since it’s mating season and just 😵‍💫 😵‍💫
And I hate that there’s a word limit on asks cause I’d love to read all your thoughts on it 😭
Just this is a perfect storm of everything that I like 🤭 🤭 (Ive really been sitting on the fence about like a lycan!Chris and reader but idk if I’m ready to write a new RE character lmao)
And also! May I suggest the song Little Red Riding Hood by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs (which I love lmao) and this more moody cover which is also phenomenal 🤭

Woven - Chapter 1
Gale x Astarion BG3 fanfiction
Tumblr media
This is one my first times dabbling in fanfiction and my first time posting anything like this. Was inspired by the Profession Dekarios comics posted by @ssalballoon
Summary: Set in alternate universe, modern day, exploring a world where fae exist (non-dnd). Gale, once a very special child with the ability to see fae, is now a regular almost middle aged man, working as a professor. Bored by his life and unable to let go of the life he once had, Gale struggles with the guilt of how he got here. That is until a strange, pale man appears at his doorstep and Gale is once again pulled back into the world of magick, unaware of what dangers lay ahead.
Word Count: 1.7k This chapter is mostly just set up! Astarion does not appear but is mentioned briefly. I welcome any tips on posting/corrections for how I'm formatting things. Hope you enjoy! ______________________________________________________________
Many children dream of being something greater than they are. How could they not, growing up getting lost in movies and books of fantastical worlds; little boys and girls setting off on journeys through otherworldly realms, adventuring towards their calling, towards their destiny, the chosen ones. Gale Dekarios was that child.
Before he even knew what was happening or how to vocalize it Gale knew that magick was real and alive; even in the city where nature was sometimes rare. He remembered being maybe four years old walking down the street holding hands with his mother, the trees bending in their little cages along the sidewalk, facing forming and melting into the bark, whispers layered in the noise and bustle of the afternoon. Looking back he could see how someone not accustomed to such oddities might see it as twisted and nightmarish but children have no context for the world. To Gale this has always been the way of things. The faces in the trees were like little friends popping out to greet him. The people he would see on the street, impossibly tall, green skin, long fingers, eyes alight they were simply, strangers, out and about, going through their own mundane lives.
Sometimes he would point out these strange happenings to his mother with a giggle or or a question, asking her why that man had spikes down his back or laughing at the silly blue hair floating around the woman on the train, like a jelly fish. His mother would smile down at him, eyebrow raised, and tell him what a creative little boy he was; seldom answering his questions. Sometimes though she would and she would huddle close to him and they would talk about all the wonderful things Gale had seen that day. He now knows she was just playing along, encouraging his "stories" blind to the world around them that was so open and inviting to him.
He remembered his father was a bit less indulgent when Gale would speak of such things. Often eyeing him with a soft stoic look and letting out a little sigh in response. Gale wondered if his father thought of his child as simply being a little "out there" for his own tastes or if he was genuinely concerned. Had his parents ever talked about taking Gale to a doctor? Maybe they should have, but he's glad they never followed through if they did. Gale was not sure how we would have navigated trying to prove he wasn't loosing his mind, especially being the only one who could see what he could.. perhaps they would have convinced him it was all in his mind. How different his life might have turned out then. Either way, he quickly caught on as he got older and started going to school that something about him, about the way he saw the world, was not "normal" and he wised up and stopped talking about it.
He would still write about it though, late at night, exploring his theories, pouring over books in the school libraries feverishly, anything he could get his hands on to learn more about this strange world he seemed to be a part of in some way. He soon learned that the creatures he saw were called fae and he fell deeper and deeper into the study of them. And not just that. There was a time where he had been accepted by them. There was a time when he would dance in the middle of the forrest at night, lavish parties, tender friends, secrets of magick revealed, and even gifted. Gale Dekarius was once a very special boy who lived an impossibly exciting and charmed life. And now he stood in front of his bathroom cabinet mirror, groggy with bags accentuating his eyes, even through he had been dead asleep for the past nine hours. He was pushing forty, his messy beard and unkempt hair making him look even older. He was washed up, he was exhausted.
Regardless, he still had responsibilities so Gale splashed some water on his face and got to trimming his facial hair. His life was not horrible by any means. Gale was a home owner, a rarity more and more these days, of a charming two-story house, with a little back garden and a gate that lead out to a walking trail. and he had a very secure job, an esteemed one even. The title of professor did come with some respect and gave him plenty of time to indulge in how own studies. His parent lived close by and he could often stop in for an afternoon lunch or have them over, not that they stayed too long these days. His father's health had been getting worse and it was a bit more comfortable for them in their own home. Still, his mother would try to come visit regularly, even if it was only her, making occasional use of his spare room, which had become a guest room since his roommate had moved out. Gale wondered when she would be back, his best friend, his confidant, she had left almost a year ago now. He had seen her occasionally since then when she popped back into town, but missed her presence and company around the house. It felt a little too quiet these days, and nights he stayed up reading in the library a little too lonely, without her chastising him for not being in bed or forgetting to eat again. Now he had to keep his life together on his own and felt like he was failing miserably. ___
After fixing up his face Gale threw on a button up from his clean laundry pile, noticed it was a little too wrinkled to look professional, and swapped it for a turtle neck. He'd have to throw it back in the dryer for a bit before wearing it. Maybe he'd actually hang it up in time too, instead of leaving it for days to get wrinkled again. He really should invest in more of those wrinkle-proof shirts, he thought, throwing a blazer on over his sweater.
He stumbled downstairs, his briefcase where he had left it the night before, sitting in on the bench of his dining nook. He popped a piece of bread in the toaster, flicked on the kettle and checked the clock. On time, he sighed in relief, looks like today will go smoothly, he thought.
His phone rang, startling him a little bit and he looked at the caller id. His mother, they talked often but it was unusual for her to call him this early on a school day.
"Hey, Mom" he said, only having to fake his cheery demeanour a little. "How are you this morning?"
"Oh, I'm just wonderful, dear, did you sleep alright" Gale held his tongue, he had always been a night owl and even as an adult it seemed he would never live it down.
"Yes, I did, I slept a lot actually, must of needed it. To what do I own the pleasure of your call mom, is everything okay with dad?"
"Ah yes, it is, didn't mean to concern you, we're both just fine, I'm actually calling because I just wanted to let you know, I've been watching the news this morning and it seems there's something going on in your neighbourhood."
"Oh?" Gale replied, only half listening as he tucked his phone against his shoulder so he could get good grip to butter his toast "What's this?"
"Well your neighbour, Mrs. Wilson, mentioned last time I was over, that something had been rummaging around in her yard" His mother, while a lovely woman, could be quiet the talker, just like Gale himself. He moved on to preparing his tea in a to-go cup, eyeing the clock, hoping she would reach the point soon.
"I see"
"Well and now, I'm seeing on the news more people are noticing it seems like an animal has been prowling around. I just thought I should warn you. Have you seen anything like that?"
Gale thought about it for a moment, but he knew he was not always the most perceptive about those things, "I don't think I have Mom, but I will keep an eye out."
"I trust you will, I just worry about you, you know, want to make sure you're keeping safe"
Gale smiled, softly a little sadly "I am Mom, I love you. Wish we could talk longer but I have to get to school"
"Okay, love you too sweetheart, give me a call back this week"
"I will"
Gale grabbed a paper towel to put his toast on, scooped up his tea and his briefcase, then headed out the door to his car. Before he got in, fumbling with his keys he took a quick look around his street. Had he seen anything? Was there anything amiss? He couldn't tell. He had left the garbage bins out too long, he would have to bring them in tonight but they were upright, undisturbed by prying paws. He shrugged and got into his car, heading off for work.
Curious he turned on the radio, seeing if his local channel had anything to say. It took a few minutes but sure enough, they mentioned it. An animal, they presumed, had wandered into town from the woods. They said residents in the area should be alert and keep all pets indoors. Gale wasn't too worried. He was sure he had seen a lot worse in his lifetime after all, and he knew all he had to do to scare away a lost little creature was to make himself look big and shout loudly. They're more scared of you than you are of them, he thought; he wondered what kind of beast they had strolling the streets, looking for a snack.
No one had caught a good sight of it so far, just the messes it had left behind. The only mention someone made of actually seeing something was in the bushes of their back yard. They had heard a noise, noticed a rustling when they went to investigate and quickly, shown a light on it they had seen a quick flash of red, animal eyes staring back at them; most likely a trick of the light. The thing darted off before the neighbour could get better look at it.
Chucking to himself about how worked up everyone was getting about the situation, Gale hoped at least this might be something interesting. Maybe if he was lucky he himself could see the little fox, or whatever it was, running through his own back yard.

Ok 1 love the new lay out! I love the shade of yellow you used! I hope this works out for you
Secondly. Would it be ok if I could get itadori headcannons for an s/o with ADHD who just had a sensory overload? If that's too confusing I'll take one with him with an s/o with four cats (yes I have four now)
Thanks so much! I hope so too- fingers crossed 🤞 and I’d absolutely love to! Ngl in my mind Itadori absolutely has a touch of ADHD so how about we do a little of both!(kinda written as AU-ish. No mentions of jjh or anything so take it as you like)
Warnings: anxiety mention, some crying
Itadori is used to your general adhd symptoms- and the two of you bounce off of each other a lot when it comes to daily tasks. You’ll get lost is an ever-growing list of little things that lead to other little things which lead to even more little things that all need doing- chores, tasks, assignments, reports, whatever. The whiteboard you’ve begun using as a to-do list is getting more chaotic by the hour and every time you pause to look at it, that feeling of exhaustion creeps closer and closer upon you, threatening to immobilize you completely.
But Itadori? He has this amazing knack for showing up just in time to catch you before you completely give up on the day. He nabs a task or chore just trying to help out and, before either of you know it, he’s finished half the things you started and got sidetracked from finishing. And there’s quite a few times that you’ve done the same for him! It’s a great dynamic between the two of you that keeps you both from being burnt out as often.
Itadori is also surprisingly perceptive, wether he realizes it or not. He knows there’s moments when everything around is just way too much and you’ll quietly excuse yourself from whatever is going on and disappear for a bit to “recharge,” as you’ve both come to call it.
But this time there’s something more to it, he thinks.
You’d been studying as a group, everyone chatting idly as you all finished up a paper that had you doing borderline obsessive research for the past few days and collecting so many pages of notes for everyone to use that you had apologized when you presented the veritable stack of notes. Honestly it was more than anyone really needed, but you were always thorough and detailed when it came to new information. Someone in the group asked a question and you launched into a detailed answer, flipping through your notes to reference, and excitedly prattling on about related facts. If he was being honest, this was his favorite way to see you: animated and passionate about something that excited you! He knew you loved to learn and loved even more to share that knowledge with your friends- but seeing it in real-time, that smile that lit you up like a star, the dazzle in your eyes? Adorable!
And then you just-clammed up.
One of the girls in your group, he couldn’t even remember her name, looked you up and down before she smiled in that way that immediately read “condescending,” as she side-eyed the boy next to her and he gave a little huff in turn, something barely worth being called a laugh. But that was all it took for you to immediately stop talking and apologize- the smile on you face dimmed to a nervous flicker as an embarrassed flush coloured your ears a brilliant red. You settled back on your knees, idly rubbing the back of your hand as the rest of the group moved on like nothing had happened. Completely oblivious they returned to chatting and texting and just pretending nothing had happened.
Somewhere outside the open window a dog started barking and your head snapped to the noise like a magnet, brows gently furrowed as you absently scratched at the back of your hand. Someone across the table sighed and started tapping their pen against their textbook and Itadori honed in on the noise, counting the taps as he watched your brows furrow further, eyes jumping from person to person around you. Someone’s phone vibrated on the table and the pen tapping lost its rhythm, before it slipped and clattered onto the floor. You cleared your throat and smiled for everyone before quietly excusing yourself to go grab something you’d forgotten in your room, making a break for the door with the promise that you’d be back in a bit.
Again, no one bats an eye at your behavior- they don’t even say anything as you disappear. But.. there’s just this certain look about you as you head out of the room that pulls Itadori’s rapt attention. Maybe it’s the subtle wobble in the edge of your smile, maybe it’s the way that smile doesn’t quite reach your eyes, or maybe it’s the way your hands are clenched just a little too tight- something is off. This isn’t just a need to “recharge,” and he stares at the door long after you’ve disappeared, completely checked out from the people around him.
In your mad dash for some place quiet, you found yourself hunkered down in a stairwell, sat tucked against the wall with your forehead on your knees. Your mind raced with how stupid i must have sounded, how weird everyone must think I am, wishing more than anything that my heart would stop thundering in my ears or a hole would just open up and swallow me whole. You’d just been so into the topic- you hadn’t meant to run off at the mouth like that. And then i just ran? Oh mannn. Deep breaths. Just relax, right? I’ll just head back to my room, maybe change into that big comfy sweater and grab some tea... and then it hit you. I have to go back.. I left all of my stuff.
Running a hand through your hair, you tried to mentally prep yourself for the walk of shame you’d have to do. You couldn’t just leave all of your study materials in someone else’s room- but your heart still felt like it was going to pound out of your chest and you just couldn’t shake the furious embarrassed blush that burned across across your whole face. You had no choice but to go back…
The door besides you swung open and you let out an involuntary, “eep,” of surprise before spotting the messy mop of Itadori’s rose-toned hair.
“There you are! I got a little worried so I brought your stuff,” He gave you an easy smile, lifting your worn bag from his shoulder and letting the door drop closed behind him. The sound of it closing echoed across the stairwell and into your skull and an unbidden wave of frustration washed over you as you stared at your neatly packed bag.
“I-I said I’d be right back!” Why am I being so defensive? Shut up! “You didn’t have to do that- I was coming right back.” Ugh, my face feels like it’s going to melt off-
Itadori’s smile dropped a bit and he shrugged, “No you weren’t.”
What? How did he-
“It’s cool, those guys didn’t even notice. They’re too busy with their phones,” he chuckled softly, setting you bag at your feet.
That fire in your cheeks burned brighter at how right he was and you looked away, finding the laces of your shoes infinitely more interesting as silence fell over you both. He moved next to you, sliding down the wall to settle beside you on the floor. It felt like ages, the two of you just existing in the silence of that empty stairwell. But as your face cooled and your heart stopped threatening to leave your body, you realized exactly how glad you were that Itadori saw through you so easily.
“I.. yeah, you’re right,” Your voice was barely a whisper and your eyes itched with the urge to cry. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to snap at you.”
Itadori laughed softly, leaning a bit to bump your shoulder with his own, “no prob, I know you wanted to get away.”
You nodded, trying so hard not to sniffle. You’d embarrassed yourself enough for one day, please don’t cry in front of Yuji.
“You want a hug?”
You laughed, the sound small and watery as you nodded, “please?”
He reached over to wrap an arm around your shoulders before tucking your head under his chin with another gentle laugh. You were so glad when he didn’t mention the dampness that soaked into his shoulder.
“Thank you, Yuji.”
✶⋆⁺₊⋆✦Bonus ✦⋆⁺₊⋆✶
“Awe, man, you have 4 of them!?” Yuji was practically bouncing on the balls of his feet in your living room, the biggest grin on his face. “Can I pet them? Like, all of them!?”
Nodding, you couldn’t help but laugh at his enthusiasm as he all but launched himself at the closes cat to his person.
The other 3 watched in curiosity as this bouncy new stranger cooed and scratched their sibling in all the right places. And before he knew it, he was surrounded with 4 demanding little furballs who all wanted the best of this strangers scitches.

The Saga of Billy Boy Part 6 - Bomber
Will and Frank have consumated their new relationship with a fart (or hundreds ;P). See their relationship develop with their first meeting outside of work. If you need it, here is a masterpost with links to all parts of TSOBB.
- - - - -
Frank and I spent the rest of the day working. Frank tried to entice me into taking another break, but I compromised with volunteering to hang out after work if he could host. Frank said his sister worked evenings so that worked perfectly. I followed Frank after work to his place. He unlocked the door to a small townhouse.
The front door opened up to a small living room, with a couch, chair and a tv. The living room led to the kitchen with a small table surrounded by three chairs. “Make yourself at home.” Frank suggested as we walked in. “Follow me.”
I followed Frank’s command as we walked up the stairs. Frank farted as we rose and I made a point of breathing loudly. Frank looked back at me and laughed. “Good boy.” We got to the top of the stairs to four closed doors. Frank led me to the door to his bedroom. “Lay on the bed with your head on the end.” I did as Frank said.
Frank sat his khakis-covered ass on my face and ripped a long bassy fart. “You better not disrespect your new buddy. Show him you’re listening with some loud whiffs.” Frank commanded. I sniffed and sniffed, despite the smell being atrocious. My cock, however, was loving it.
I realized that wasn’t the only sensation I was feeling down there. “Uh sir?” I mumbled into Frank’s ass.
Frank sat up and looked down on me. “Everything okay?” He said with slight concern.
“Yeah, I just need to pee.” I said, sheepishly.
“Oh, no worries! The bathroom is just to the right. I’ll get undressed while you’re gone.” Frank teased with a wink.
I left the bedroom and looked to the right. There were two doors, so I reached out to one of them, but was stopped when the door was locked. When I jiggled the door knob, I thought I heard a whimper from the room. Frank came out of the bedroom when he heard me at the locked door. “Oh, sorry. I should’ve been more specific. That’s the extra bedroom.”
“Why is the door locked?” I inquired.
“My sister keeps her dog there when she’s at work. I used to let him out when I got home, but I accidentally lost him once, so she hasn’t trusted me to let him out since. She started locking the door after that so I couldn’t. It’s probably for the best. He doesn’t like new people, so he’d be barking a storm at you.” Frank explained.
I nodded and went into the bathroom to pee. When I returned to the bedroom, I found Frank laying on the bed in only his gray boxer briefs. “Your buddy felt like you didn’t appreciate his time earlier. He wants you to think about that while you rub my smelly feet.” Frank commanded while wiggling his toes. I started to get on the bed, but Frank stopped me. “You have to rub them on your knees on the floor. Your buddy will decide when you can get on the bed.”
I followed his command and got on my knees at the foot of his bed. Frank’s feet sat perfectly right in front of my face. I grabbed the right one and started rubbing. His feet were quite sweaty. As I rubbed them, the ripe smell of feet wafted up my nose. My dick hardened as I enjoyed the stench.
I had been rubbing his feet for about ten minutes when a fart trumpeted from Frank’s ass. “Sounds like your buddy is done giving you the silent treatment. Better come listen to what he has to say.” I did as he said, digging my face between Frank’s legs. He answered me with a loud wet fart that lasted for several seconds. I leaned in as close as I could and sniffed it as hard and loud as I could. It was followed by several more farts that wafted across my face. My cock throbbed as I basked in the smell of Frank’s gas.
“I’m smelling too much of my gas, Billy Boy. I think it’s time to get under me.” Frank said as he lifted his ass to make space for my head. I wiggled my body so that my face was under his ass. He lowered himself until he was just short of crushing me. His ass greeted me with a grand fart that I sniffed in delightfully.
“Your nose isn’t cutting it anymore. I want that mouth open too.” I did as he said as another fart blasted down my nose and throat. I almost gagged at the taste but held it down and focused on how incredibly horny it made me. “That’s much better. I can barely smell it now. You’re learning well, Billy Boy.” Frank laughed, as he grunt and a short fart entered my body.
I felt Frank grab the remote and turn on the tv. He flipped through the channels and farted constantly. “Ahhhh, it’s nice to finally rip all the ass I want and not sniff a thing. Your face was made to give men like me such pleasure.” Frank teased, as he rubbed my cock with his foot. His teasing and foot had me on the edge, so when his ass blessed my face with another fart, my dick shot rapidly into my pants.
Frank felt my cum with his foot and laughed. “Don’t think that’s gonna get you out of there. Your buddy wants to hang out aaaaaaall night.” With that, Frank unleashed another fart.
We laid like that for a couple of hours. Frank’s farts never let up, as I lived in flatulent bliss. He continued to rub my cock with his foot and I managed to cum two more times. He teased me the entire night.
Frank walked me down to the door when it was time to leave. “I’m glad you came over.” He told me. “Bomber really enjoyed getting to spend some time with you outside of work.”
“Bomber?” I asked, with a feeling I already knew the answer.
“Your buddy told me he likes you enough you can know his name.” Frank explained with a wink. “Bomber had a really good time, and can’t wait to see you again. I have a feeling he’s going to be talking about you all night.”
I blushed as my cock hardened despite all the work it had been through. “Well, you can tell him I had a great time myself. I’d love to see him again.”
“Why don’t you tell him yourself?” Frank smirked, turning around. I looked down at his ass and opened my mouth to speak. “On your knees.” Frank clarified.
I got onto my knees, face level with Bomber. “It was great meeting you today, Bomber. I look forward to hanging out with you again.”
Bomber replied with a short brassy fart. Frank translated “He wants to know if he can have a goodnight kiss?”
I leaned forward and pressed my lips into Frank’s ass. Frank grabbed the back of my head and ripped a long, wet fart onto my puckered lips. He let me go as I basked in the smell. Frank grabbed my arms and helped me up. “Drive safe. Let me know when you’re home.” Frank said, with a warm smile.
“I will. Have a good night.” I said, leaving Frank’s townhouse. I made the drive home and texted him as I parked. I walked into the apartment. I noticed Clay was in the office playing online games with some friends. I peeked my head into the office. “Hey Babe, I’m home.”
“Hey Ba-” Clay began to reply, but was cut off by a coughing fit. I quickly realized I must have smelled awful. I slipped out of the office, heading to our bathroom as I heard Clay lie to his friends that he just choked on some water.
As I got in the shower, I realized I was hard again at Clay’s reaction to my smell. I relieved myself and finished my shower, laying in bed and drifting to sleep.
- - - - -
That night, I dreamt I had another gassy day with Frank. I walked into my apartment afterward, and went to the bedroom. As I opened the door, I found Clay laying on his back on the bed wearing only a jockstrap, with his legs in the air exposing his beautiful ass. “It’s about time you got home, Billy Boy. I want you to fuck this ass so bad” Clay moaned.
I drooled at the sight of him as I got naked and approached the bed. As I neared, Clay stopped me with a foot to the face, as he grabbed his nose in disgust. “Holy shit, you reek! There’s no way you can fuck me like that.” Clay spat.
“Once a boy like you is marked, there’s no way a man would let you fuck him.” Frank explained, appearing out of nowhere, naked. He placed a hand on my shoulder, pushing me away and putting himself between me and Clay. “Looks like I’ll have to take care of this for you.”
“Talk about an upgrade.” Clay moaned, as he spread his legs wider for Frank. Frank grabbed Clay’s thighs and thrust his cock into him. Frank leaned forward, and grabbed Clay’s neck, leaning in to kiss him passionately.
I stared as Frank fucked Clay, both incredibly turned on. I licked my lips, as I envied Frank’s cock moving in and out of my boyfriend's ass. Frank and Clay paused from making out to see my pathetic look and laughed. “Looks like poor little Billy Boy feels left out.” Clay teased.
“Don’t worry. Bomber would love a good tongue fucking right now.” Frank proposed with a smirk. I followed his command and dove face first into Frank’s ass, Bomber. I focused to match the rhythm of Frank fucking Clay and tongued his ass. Bomber greeted me with a grand fart that got a laugh out of Clay and Frank. I sure missed you, Billy Boy, Bomber spoke through the fart.
“God, I missed you, too.” I moaned into Frank’s ass, filled with lust and desire for the smelly crack engulfing my face. “I love you, Bomber.”
Frank and Clay burst out laughing even harder at the proclamation of my love. Their laughter subsided as they both reached climax and moaned and screamed as they came. Upon finishing, Bomber spat out a long, wet, nasty fart in reply.
I love you, too, Billy Boy.

Why the hell did I just wink at her, the fuck was that for?
Danny smacked you back to reality, literally. He was whacking you lightly on the back, pulling you into him as you made your way to the stage. “I was really worried you wouldn’t make it, man,” he said, giving you his signature crooked grin. “Yeah, we were really worried that we were going to have to push the opening back, play some more tracks,” Jake said absentmindedly. You heard the final song from the pre-show playlist finish playing in the auditorium, the crowd erupting in screams and cheers. Josh jiggled as he removed his shoes, the stagehands checking his mic pack. A roadie helped you step out of your shoes as another assisted in slinging your bass over your neck. The never ending movement of people checking and plugging things in finally ended and you all nodded to each other before taking the stage. “Let’s do this gentlemen,” Jake said, beaming as he started up the steps to the stage.
____________________________________________
The show had gone fantastically, an absolute dream of a set. You walked off stage and into the arms of your family, the six of you walking side by side down the ramp to backstage.
“So, what’s the plan for dinner?” Josh said. “Churchill’s?” Jake threw out the suggestion to the group and everyone agreed. The family split off and headed to the restaurant to grab tables while the rest of you changed and showered.
You made your way back to the dressing rooms and found her sitting in a chair in the hall, pencil hovered over her open sketchbook in one hand, a soft pretzel in the other. “I didn’t even know they had pretzels here,” you said as you walked by her, noticing how her hair had fallen into her eyes as she was leaned over, lost in thought. You broke her from her trance and she glanced up at you, her brain seeming to take a moment to catch up to her eyes. “Oh, yeah,” she said with a sheepish smile. “They’re new. I got kinda hungry so I did a lap around. They have some decent options.” You nodded, “yeah, we used to come to hockey games here back when we were kids.” “The corn dogs were the best!” Josh cut in, giving her a smile. Danny moved in to sit down in the chair next to her, the three of them chatting briefly about the show. “You guys probably fucking smell, leave her be. We need to get a move on,” you barked as you turned to walk down the hall to your dressing room.
You showered quickly and ran a brush through your hair before shaking it loose. You put on the clothes that had been laid out for you, suddenly feeling very grateful for the crew that helped keep everything running smoothly. You turned off the bathroom light and threw your towel onto the counter after running it through your hair one last time.
You fixed yourself a shot and threw it back before mixing yourself a drink. You swirled the liquid, watching the ice cubes rattle against the plastic cup. So much money and we can’t even get real glasses? You gathered your book bag up and headed out to the hall, knowing a roadie would collect everything from your dressing room and your clothes from earlier in the day would end up on your bus, laundered and folded.
She was still sitting in the same chair, although she was now engrossed in an actual sewing project. You watched her for a moment as you sunk into a chair across from her. Her brows were furrowed as she expertly moved the needle through the fabric, attaching some sort of embellishment to what appeared to be a shirt. “You work pretty damn fast,” you said softly, breaking the silence. She glanced up at you, her face relaxing as she shifted her focus from her work. “Twenty years will do that,” she answered, giving you a smile.
A worker from the venue approached her and asked her a question about wardrobe. You zoned out of their conversation as they talked. You watched the way she leaned in and explained whatever she was talking about, gesturing the entire time before sitting back and laughing, the worker giving her a thumbs up and walking down the hall towards the dressing rooms. She smiled to herself as she returned to attaching the lacy thing to the shirt.
“Do you want a drink?” you asked her, realizing your cup was now empty. “I’m okay, I don’t think I am supposed to really drink when I end up taking the pain meds I’m on,” she said, never looking up from her work as she answered you casually. You felt your chest squeeze as your eyes fell onto the still slightly black eye she had that she’d clearly covered with makeup. The cut on her cheek was still red and angry, and, you were sure, painful. You nodded and headed to the closest dressing room to make yourself another drink.
You knocked on Danny’s door and entered. He was bent over, a towel around his waist as he put products in his hair. He straightened and looked at you in the mirror. “You good?” he asked, continuing to twirl some pieces of his hair as he turned to face you. You had turned your back to him to stand over the liquor and mixers in the corner, but you heard him start to pull his clothes on. “You want a drink?” you asked over your shoulder. “Nah, I’m okay for now.” You nodded and turned, taking a sip of your drink. He was watching you as you drank. “What?” you blurted, gesturing at him with your drink. “You seem… off,” Danny replied before sitting in a leatherback chair, reaching for his socks. “I’m fine. I’m tired,” you shot back, taking another sip. “Yeah, okay. How many years together and you still think you can lie to me?” Danny said as he slipped on one of his shoes. He sat back to catch your eyes before tying it.
“Josh said you had a panic attack. Is that true?” You shook your head, your face growing warm with irritation. “I did not. I was fine, it was just annoying to be stuck in a dark ass elevator,” you spat back, ignoring his worried glances. “Okay, we don’t have to talk about it,” Danny replied as he bent to tie his shoe. “I really don’t know why it had to be your grumpy ass stuck in that elevator with her. From now on, I’m riding in the elevators with her,” he said, giving you a playful smile.
You nearly choked on your drink. “What?” you asked. “What? It’s no secret I think she’s gorgeous. Smart and artistic too. What’s not to like? I guess unless you’re you and you smacked her in the eye with your stupid phone and have been constantly rude to her. And are still stuck on some girl who was no good for you and…” You cut him off, “you’re one to talk. At least we were the same age.” Danny stopped what he was doing, frozen.
You’d gone too far, but it was too late to turn back now. “Whatever. We both have baggage, it’s fine. So, are you going to fuck her or what?” you asked. He shook his head before looking up at you. “Not everything is about that,” he cracked back at you. “Don’t you go soft on me now, Danny boy. Starting to sound like Josh, wanting a spiritual connection and shit. It’s not fucking worth it.”
“Sound like me about what?” Josh said as he walked into the room, Jake close behind him. “Oh, Danny just has a little crush,” you sneered, laughing as you finished the rest of your drink. Danny rolled his eyes. Hearing Josh say her name made your blood boil for some reason. Danny nodded and Josh shrugged, “I get it.” “Not you too,” Danny said, giving Josh a playful shove. “Oh no, I don’t have time for any of that, too much going on,” Josh said, shaking his head and waving his arms. He was probably feeling the three shots he took on stage along with the adrenaline rush wearing off. “Shall we go?” Jake asked, edging closer to the door. You all nodded and walked out towards the back of the venue.
“Hey, you coming to dinner? You’re definitely invited,” Danny said, leaning down to rest his hand on her shoulder. She jumped slightly at the contact before turning to face him and smiling.
You always need to talk to her before you touch her, she’s jumpy as hell. Come on, Danny.
“No, I am going to go get on the bus and clean everything and get it put away. I need to finish altering Sam’s suit for tomorrow and I’d like to get some rest tonight,” she answered as she started to gather her things. “I think they moved all of our stuff off of your bus, so you should have your tranquil workspace back,” Josh joked as he reached forward to hand her the journal she had left on the table. She took it from him and gave him a warm smile. You cleared your throat. “Shall we head out?” you asked, pointing towards the exit. You all told her goodbye and headed on your way.
____________________________________________
Dinner had felt comfortable, familiar even. Yet you couldn’t shake this feeling of general annoyance, especially with Danny. The way the whole table laughed when he told a joke, how your mom made sure to always include him in any story, the way he texted her to see if she wanted anything from the restaurant. You knew it was ridiculous. You didn’t want a relationship. Especially not with her, she wasn’t even your type.
You had another couple of drinks before the tab was closed out. Telling your family good-bye was bittersweet. You always missed your parents and your sister, but you were constantly reminded how lucky you were to have your older brothers along with you for this ride. Even if they could be generally irritating, the way siblings were.
The ride back to the venue was quiet. Everyone was exhausted and pleasantly buzzed. You all collectively walked towards the wardrobe bus, almost unconsciously. Albert greeted you as he opened the doors and you all climbed on.
She stood, leaned over a laid out back of a suit jacket, drawing on the fabric with what looked like chalk. Her eyes snapped up and she straightened, giving the group a warm smile. “We wanted to check in with you before we started on our separate, yet identical journeys,” Josh said, gesturing wildly as he spoke, nearly taking her water bottle clear off the edge of the table. He was clearly drunk, speaking in what you called his ‘bad poetry tongue.’ You snickered and Jake shot you a look.
“Oh, yeah, I’m good! Ready to roll! Oh, Sam…” your ears pricked at the sound of your name leaving her mouth and you looked up and worked to focus on her. “... I finished taking in your jacket, so I’ll need you to try it on in the morning. I’ll actually need all of you guys to try on your stuff if possible. So I have enough time to make any adjustments.” You all nodded. “Of course, we can’t wait to see everything,” Danny said and you rolled your eyes. Damn, lover boy. Laying it on thick. The look of appreciation she gave him made your stomach flip. You broke the silence. “Well, good night. We will see you in Pennsylvania ,” you grunted as you turned to head off of the bus. Josh gave you a weird look but the rest of the group gave their good nights and followed you off of the bus.
“Shit, I left my phone,” you mumbled before turning to walk back up the stairs to the bus. Albert was watching something on his phone and paid you no attention as you walked back to the large table in the middle of the bus. “You okay?” she asked you, her eyes searching your face. “Oh, uh, yeah. I forgot my phone,” you replied, reaching to grab it off of the table. She reached forward and placed her hand on yours, sending electricity zapping up your arm. She stood up and walked around the table to stand next to you. “I wanted to make sure you were okay. I know today was pretty stressful. And you had a panic attack,” she continued, squeezing your hand.
Something about the way she was so concerned for you despite how much of a dick you’d been and the alcohol in your system pushed you forward. You placed a hand on her waist and pulled her into you. You leaned in and gently pressed your lips onto hers. She was tense at first but slowly relaxed into you. She pulled away suddenly, her wide eyes searching yours. “Sam, I uh…” she stammered, taking a step back. You released your hand from her waist as she moved, allowing her to move further away. She pushed her hair back from her face and took a deep breath before looking up at you. The look on her face told you all you needed to know- she was not interested. You held up your hands and took an unsteady step backwards. “Sorry, just forget about it,” you said, giving her a nod before turning and walking back off the bus.
You had just royally fucked up.

THAMAYA ATIYA
Twenty-four | She/her | 170 cm | Human | Ghlaesian
Love, it will get you nowhere You're on your own Lost in the wild So come to me now I could use someone like you Someone who'll kill on my command And asks no questions — Muse
Prompt from:@oc-tober2023 [ I am not following the same order ]
CW: Torture, blood She is a little crazy. It's fine.
~ Charm
"He's not coming."
Thamaya ignored the woman now dangling upside down from the trap she had set up for someone else. A minor setback. The boy was her target but having his mother would surely lure him out of his hiding spot.
She started to pace, waiting wasn't one of her strengths.
"I don't know why you're doing this, but he is just a boy. He did nothing wrong. Let us go and nothing will be lost."
Thamaya spinned the knife in her hand skillfully. One foot tapping impatiently on the wet forest floor. The words of the Queen did nothing to sway her, the boredom was more pressing. Whenever she gets bored, she does something rash and then there was no stopping her. A gleeful smile crept over her lips. My, it wouldn't be the worst losing control now. No one said anything about keeping the former Queen fully intact. Barely alive is still alive.
"You're getting paid for this, aren't you?" The former Queen keeps on talking, "I have valuable belongings hidden away. They can be yours, if you let us-"
With one swift movement Thamaya throws her knife. It hit the tree only inches away from the babbling woman's head.
"Bla bla bla." She leans down to retrieve her knife, close enough so that their noses touch, "I'm not interested in your riches. I do this for the thrill."
She rips the knife from the bark, returning to her pacing, knife swinging in her hand, "It's most fun if they run, the fear in their eyes, their careless little feet. When they think they have a chance, think they can get away."
She laughs, a deranged sound echoing through the dark forest. "Their screams when I let my knife do the talking. Mmh. Music to my ears."
When her dark eyes snatched onto the former Queen she saw the onsets of the fear she had described only moments ago. Her bravery was waning. Thamaya grinned excitedly.
"That dagger." The woman starts, putting on a brave front, "It looks like something special."
"Just a tool." Thamaya shrugs, "I don't need it to rip you open. I could use my bare hands too."
The former Queen swallows, "It's got a pattern on it. Does it have a meaning?"
"We shit-chatting now?" Thamaya stared at her blankly. "Save those charming words for your servants, Queen."
She drags the last word out mockingly. Then she halts, inspecting her nails, "Besides, I was told to be quite charming myself and if not for my personality, then I still have my Lucky Charm that can convince anyone." She grins, looking at the captured woman, "Do you want to see it?"
"I-" The former Queen had no time to speak, as Thamaya suddenly sprinted over, pushing the woman against the tree, knife pressing against her nose.
"Can't you tell how lucky it is? Look at it real close, you will feel pure Luck touching you. You should feel honoured." She pushes her knife closer, drawing blood deliberately, but the captured woman didn't even blink.
Annoyed, Thamaya steps back, licking her knife, she tastes her blood.
"You're working for the old gods? I've met Fate once, they are fickle, you shouldn't trust in their motives."
Thamaya groans, loud enough so the woman will get the hint. Does she never stop talking?
"I stole this dagger off of a fat arse who said it was blessed by Luck." She turns the knife around in her hands, "He called it a Lucky Charm first, but to me, it's just a knife. It does the job as good as any other would. If you don't believe me, why not test its Luck and see if it would hit you when I throw it your way. Dare to wager?"
The woman shook her head, words all so nicely left her. What a waste of time. This was turning into a real buzz kill. She had been hunting these two for weeks and this is what she gets for her efforts? Waiting? Talking?
"It looks like…" she steps to one side, "That your little boy…" she steps to the right, "No longer needs his mommy."
She gives the former Queen a mock pout, "Have you been a bad mother?"
"I have taught him to keep himself safe first. He won't come for me, because he knows it would endanger us both."
"How boring." Thamaya walks over to the tree behind the trapped woman, "Then you have to entertain me until he learns that you should never listen to your mother. I already have a few ideas on how we can pass the time."
She cuts into the tree, cracking the bark open, piece by piece. "I think we should test the theory. See if this truly is a Lucky Charm. I always wanted to know. Come on. A little Luck won't hurt no one."
She grins sinisterly. "Oh, but silly me. I guess this one will hurt badly."

i love you; baji keisuke
warnings: none.
baji x reader
Tumblr media
you didn’t expect to be getting a phone call in the afternoon. let alone from baji.
generally, you would be the first to call him, asking for his consent before doing so. although your cell phone rang right when you were getting into the good part of your book, making you jump at the unexpected noise.
you sighed, picking up the small sized phone beside you.
“hello, this is y/n speaking,” you said into the phone after answering the call.
“yes, i know who you are. come meet me at the park,” the voice said.
“oh, hello baji! sorry, i didn’t realize it was you. what’s the occasion though? why must i see you at the park?” you asked.
“it’s a surprise,” was all he said before hanging up.
you huffed, getting up off the couch you had been sitting on for an unhealthy amount of time. your feet guided their way to your room, stopping in front of your dresser. you opened one of the drawers taking out a hoodie baji had given you, which you hadn’t returned.
you grabbed a pair of pants from a separate draw and got changed. after finishing getting changed, you exited your bedroom. you didn’t think of putting makeup on since it seemed like baji would be the only one there.
you grabbed your house keys on the bench in your kitchen, walking toward the front door. you knelt down to choose a pair of shoes, picking some sneakers as your selected pair.
once set to leave, you unlocked the door, grasping the door handle after. upon opening the door, a cold gush of air flew past you. you turned back to your door, closing it shut before locking it with your keys.
slowly, the distance from your house increased. the silence that surrounded you felt deafening, there was usually some form of noise surrounding you; a dog barking, music, anything. although there was nothing.
getting lost in your mind, you came back to your senses only when you had realized you were at the park. you turned to your side so you could enter.
baji wasn’t to be seen when entering the park. walking further into it, you sighed, thinking he didn’t show. you turned on your heel beginning to walk to the exit, before a familiar voice called your name.
you turned again, getting met with baji’s face smiling at you. you returned his smile, giving him a small wave before walking towards him at a faster pace. when you were standing in front of baji, he didn’t hesitate to grab your hand and start pulling you in a different direction.
you were about to question where you were going, but before you had the chance your eyes took in the sight in front of you.
there on the ground was a blanket laying on the grass, atop the blanket was various different foods. although what caught your attention most was how there were four peyoung yakisobas on the blanket. you chuckled upon seeing this.
“what’s so funny?” baji asked, not expecting your first reaction to be you laughing.
“nothing, it’s just that you brought four peyoung yakisobas,” you replied, letting out a small laugh at the end of your sentence.
baji shrugged his shoulders, seeming to not mind them. he sat down picking up an item of food, preparing to take a bite out of it before looking to see if you were going to follow him, which you did.
you were in awe— when baji said he had wanted to meet you at the park this was not what you expected to see. then again, you hadn’t an idea of what baji would’ve done when you met him at the park, though this was not expected. in curiosity of why baji had set this up, you asked him why he did so.
“i dunno, i just thought it’d be a good idea. i also wanted to hang out with you,” was his response, before continuing to eat the food he was eating before.
“well, i’d like to thank you! this was a very nice thing for you to do. is there any way i can repay you?” you asked baji once he finished replying to your question.
“nah, it’s alright. no need to.”
with those words being said, you thought it would be a good time for you to begin eating since you hadn’t yet. you grabbed what was closest to you, which was a fruit. you quickly finished the fruit since it wasn’t too big.
you looked up at baji, he was looking at you. before you could speak anything to him, he picked up one of the four peyoung yakisobas and offered one to you, signifying he would like to share, which you happily accepted.
by the time you finished your picnic with baji, it was around six p.m., and you had to go home. you thanked baji multiple times on your walk back to your house, he insisted on walking you there.
before you knew it, you were standing in front of your door, with the key dangling from the keyhole. baji was standing only a few feet away from you, waiting for you to enter the house. before you did, you turned to him and ran to where he was standing, giving him a hug, catching him off guard. he slowly returned the hug.
“thank you for today!” was your final words to him before rushing back to your front door, opening it, then closing it behind you. baji stood still, feeling the warmth from your hug still there. a smile slowly spread across his face, and he turned on his heel, beginning to walk back home.
today was indeed a great day.

Chapter 3
Tag @luimagines and @thesoftieanon
Four and wind use their phone light to scan around the room this disgusting mossy room that have bodybags and they notice what look to be operating room door by the look of it alone yet the room looks to be-
Sky: four, wind. Come out warrior here with Artemis and her team.
Four and wind give a look to each other but goes back their the hole to get fresh air and they can hear Artemis yell at warrior for not noticing her on this case as her team is doing what police do and they all move out the way so they can cut down the wall and wait since Artemis is now talking to them on what happen.
Four watch Artemis team for a hour going in and out that room to take the body bags to the bigger vehicles to being taken for investigation but he bite his tongue to remember that those body bags are likely the missing lost children and since they found a blind child alone........
Wind: four...it's time to go.
Four hear wind and look to see wind and he nod and turn around to join the remain chain to get back in the car of warrior to head back home well base.
Warrior: twilight called, he say that we rest for a few hours than we'll met up in time office for a talk about this....failed misson..
Hyrule: this is unexpected....we got the mask but.....a child too.....
Wind, sky are already asleep and four sign place his hand on his head to try rub away the forming headache he's having as warrior drive the car.
Four: heard on what time plan with the child?
Warrior: well twilight believes time will not disobey the deity yet he plan on looking for place the child will be more safe at than-
Four hum understand the possibility the child be under their care til their well enough to be place in foster home but with the deity commended on this situation just gives four a migraine.
Four: yeah...hope the kid isn't hurt too badly afterall, we're not normally safe people to be around with...
They both remain slient drive back to the base but back in the barn twilight can feel his eyebrown twitching since the wolf woken up he trying to violently get out the animal stall and by doing this wake the other animals and twilight took a deep breath and walk to the animal stall door that is being hit violently claw on.
Twilight: can you stop it already, your safe and the child-
Wolf: bark!bark!
Twilight open the peephole slider to see the wolf is pacing around and attack the door to still try to get out, twilight knows the wolf is looking for the child but he remembers the child is being medical attention on so he close the peephole slider and sign as he lift his hand up to brush back his hair from his face.
Twilight: look here wolf. I know your worry about the child but you can't see them now. They're being taken care of now and I need too-
Twilight hear the wolf hauling and he sign but if this means he'll stop attack the door he's taken it but he need to work on claming the animals again for the hundred time. Wolfie keep howling while he goes to the wall in hthis animal stoll away from the door to dig at the ground. He need to get to his owner to save them from those people, he doesn't trust any of them as he digs more to already see the wall bottom so wolfie knows freedom is close.
Time look through all all papers and he h to himself and made plan to some of them to prevent problems from happening yet when he read Ethan reports on what's happening in his mafia territory, time raise his hand to rub his eyes and sign.
Time: so it have started....
Knock knock
Butler: sir, I have the medical report on the child.
Time: come in.
The teen butler open the door to step in and close the door then walk over to time desk to hand him the medical report to time. Time himself grab the folder that have the medical report and he thank the butler as he open it to read it as the butler nod.
Teen butler: I place the child in the spare bedroom so they can sleep comfortably in sir twilight floor. Wild have arrived and cooking as we speak so when the child awaken food will be ready to serve.
Time read yet he listened to him then time close the folder and let out a sign.
Time: that....child......not just a head injury but-
Teen butler: yes....we managed to drain out the infection and clean the wounds but.....to do that to a child.....but don't worry sir link, we'll do our best.
Time chuckle to seen the teen trying to cheer him up as they hear what sounds like a vehicle drive up and time knows it's the rest of the chain return and time dismissed the teen butler as he open the door to leave Ethan there and walk in time office as the teen close the door.
Time: good to see you Ethan, thank you for the report on what's happening in my territory.
Ethan raise his magical scarf hands to sign language time.
Ethan sign language: good morning to you too sir time. Yes there's been alot of activities going on even the ones we both know will cost you *trouble* .
Time nod since he read his report on how Ganondorf gang trying to come in his territory lately and with strange people.
Time: yes..but it's good that their not costing much trouble beside protecting payments but with you tipping us on that none of the people are harmed or gun fights.
Ethan nod and time hum, time open a drawer to grab his cigar and litter to smoke, Ethan would use magic to make fire appear and lit time cigar.
Time: thank you Ethan, so how's you and four & colors?
Ethan face get warm but he sign language time as clam as he can but his blush face betray him.
Ethan sign language: were okay sir. Four and the colors are-
Time chuckle but get up from his chair to walk over to Ethan to ruffle his hair.
Time: relax yourself Ethan, they been worry about you their boyfriend for two weeks and bet they'll be glad that you've returned safely.
Ethan let out a soundless breath and time walk over to the window to see the boys walking to the base clearly their tired and he can faintly see Warrior sign to wind dead asleep so Warrior have to carry him inside.
Time: your dismissed Ethan, I'll call for you when I have work for you-
Ethan hand time a letter and time look to the letter to see a symbol of a moon with strange crown around it that time knows who send the letter and he grab it and nod to Ethan.
Ethan sign language: she been trying to reach you...
Time: well looks like my beloved queen of shadow must have gotten my gift then.
Ethan nod and bow to time out of respect before he leaves time office as time look to the letter with a smile and open it to read his beloved handwriting and have a smile too.
Wolfie dig out of the animal stoll and crawl out of the dirt ground then shake his fur body to look around him to see he's in what look to be a farming side of this place but he try to sniff for his owner scent but he couldn't smell them but he remembered that older man have hold his owner so he sniff for that older man scent and easily pick it up and he follow the scent yet he can hear people around and stay in the shadows to avoid being seen and not wake what look to be sheep pin since those animal will make a loud cry when startled.
Twilight manged to clam the barn animals enough that the animals went back to sleep but twilight smile to see but he now notice how quiet that wolf is and walk over to listen in but hear nothing so he open the peephole to see a hole and dirt everywhere in the animal stoll but no wolf that twilight see and he curse.
Twilight: damnit, were did that wolf?- the child.
Twilight ran out the animal barn to ran to the direction were the base is yet he pull out his radio to tell the staff of a wolf is lose on the ground, he need to find that wolf before someone get hurts or find the child before the wolf can.
Twilight: can't believe a beast trick me...goddess hope warrior never find out.
The blind child groan softly and slowly open their cloudy eyes and close it again to felt warm light and they slowly roll over to be laying on their belly then push themselves up to move to a sitting position on something soft??
Child: what?....what is this? Wait. This is a bed? Who's bed is this.....
The child place their hands and felt soft fabric and move up to feel a softer pillow then down til they felt a smooth blanket that the child bring their hands back to themselves to feel on edge and slowly grown scared now that they can't hear wolfie and they carefully move the blanket off their body to feel for the bed edge then climb down til their tiny feet touch the floor that they know their in a bedroom but don't know the layout or what's in it so they let their hands feel what's around them, they slowly walk around the room in babysteps to image the bedroom layout in their head but once their fingers tips touch something that's wooden that they stop but move their hands up to feel what they believe is a doorknob but sadly can't fully reach it and are on their tippy toes so they stop.
Child: too quiet....wolfie were are you puppy...
The child whispered to themselves to slowly feel scared and grip onto their shirt but stop to feel that their shirt is soft and no holes or rip edges or smell earthly that they are confused but realized that someone must have change them..........
The Child head lift up to see a sound coming and they title their head so they can place their ear to the wooden door to listen but as the sound coming closer and closer the more the child can hear til their cloudy eyes widen in fear those sounds are footsteps and the child ran back to the bed out of fear to find a place to hide as the footsteps stop to the wooden door that the blind child hear the footsteps stop but move around the bed to hide in the other side of the bed and listen in to whoever owns those footsteps. Child praying for wolfie to come save them from the danger that's coming for them. The doorknob is making small noise like someone grab it and turn it in order to open as blind child slid down by the bed in the other side as big tears sliding down their face scared and fearful that whatever it is, is coming in and they can't escape so the child accidentally let out a sob as the wooden door open but stop the same time.
Sky peek his head in the see since he heard the child small sob and see them shedding tears yet badly hiding in the other side of the bed and seeing the crying yet scared blind child didn't help sky one bit since he plan on talking to them but seeing this throw that plan out the window.
Sky: hey there, mind if?-
The blind child stop their small quiet sob to hear a voice and lean hide more in their hiding spot and sky frown but he slowly enter the bedroom and softly close the door then sit down on the floor not moving anywhere else since the child is scared and on edge.
My name is sky, I bring food for you little one-

I Hear the River Say Your Name
Chapter 1 (ch. 2 | ch. 3 | ch. 4 | ch. 5 | ch. 6 | ch. 7)
A Josh Kiszka / fem!reader fic
Summary: Even before you were dating, you and Josh had been friends for years. You didn't see anything changing between you anytime soon. Then one day, you wake up and Greta Van Fleet doesn't exist and Josh isn't your boyfriend.
Tags: fluff, angst, a brief moment where you and Josh fight in middle school, getting together
A/N: That Sammy fic is coming, don't worry! This one just put a chokehold on me and it was all I could write. This will be a multi-chapter fic, but I don't see it being particularly long, maybe about 5ish chapters. Without any further ado, enjoy!

You and Josh had been together for years now and you didn’t see that changing anytime soon. Ever since you two were kids, everyone around you joked that you two would get married and grow old together.
You remember the time when you and Josh were playing house one day when you were really young. Jake was there too, pretending to be a dog while Josh played the husband and you played the wife. The three of you were completely lost within the world you had built in your minds, reality acting as nothing more than the set design for your scenario. All three of you had failed to notice that it was starting to get dark and that you needed to get back to the house before sunset, prompting Mrs. Kiszka to come and find you when you didn’t respond to her calling your names.
“Kids, do you realize what time it is?” she questioned, that maternal concern laced into her words.
“Sorry mom, we were just playing,” Josh rushed to explain, breaking character for the first time in hours.
“Oh, yeah? What were you playing that was so interesting?” She had placed her hands onto her hips, harkening back to the way your own mother would do that when she was scolding you.
“BARK!” Jake exclaimed, still down on all fours on the grass.
“House,” you translated for Mrs. Kiszka.
“Oh, I see. Is Jake your dog, then?”
“He’s our dog!” Josh clarified rather petulantly, his arms coming to cross over his chest with an annoyed huff.
Mrs. Kiszka smiled at that, her anger at you guys for not following the rules dissipated. “‘Our dog’? You picked Josh to be your husband again?”
You shook your head no. That wasn’t what happened.
“Jake wanted to be my husband this time but Josh wouldn’t let him and then Jake started to be my husband anyway, but Josh got mad and started to yell that he always played my husband and then he pushed Jake and then Jake pushed him back and then they started to fight and I had to yell at them to stop and then ran to go and tell on them for fighting and then they stopped fighting and Jake let Josh be my husband,” you explained in the rambling way that six year olds do.
Because you had just barely aged out of being a toddler, you failed to notice the amused yet knowing look on the twin’s mother’s face. Looking back at this memory, you came to realize that Mrs. Kiszka could see right through her oldest son like he was bathing in windex.
“I see. I guess he just wants to practice for the future,” she not so subtly implied.
“I don’t wanna marry her!” Josh sputtered, his face turning a bright red.
Mrs. Kiszka just smiled down at her son, you and Jake watching Josh as he began to glare grumpily at his mother.
“Whatever you say, dear,” Mrs. Kiszka placated, gently pushing Josh towards the house.
This teasing lasted well into your teenage years and it only got more aggressive the older you two got. Everyone would joke about you two getting together, calling you Josh’s girlfriend and vice versa, constantly hinting about how you two should kiss… It was like a broken record that played 24/7.
It was especially bad in middle school, to the point that it strained your friendship. Josh would stop talking to you as much and, on really bad days, not at all. There was even a period of time in seventh grade where Josh ignored you entirely. It only lasted two months, but it was one of the worst two months of your life. You had felt so isolated and alone, crying almost every night that your best friend wouldn’t so much as give you a glance when you called his name.
Jake was still friendly with you, but it was clear that he was in a really awkward position. While it was unspoken, it was clear he didn’t want to pick sides in the strange war that his brother had initiated.
“You can’t ask him why?”
“You already know I have, Sunny, and he wouldn’t tell me.” He was trying to be compassionate, but he was tired of having this conversation for the hundredth time.

You had walked the earth many times before. While it’s not the preferred form that you liked to take, you had to admit that it had its benefits. For starters, it was very hard to interact with the humans without a corporeal form, and meddling with mortals was the whole point.
That was the very reason you found yourself walking amongst the humans: you were incredibly bored playing goddess. Some entertainment was much needed after sitting up in the cosmos for a few decades.
Before you started to frequent earth, humanity hadn’t even put themselves on the moon yet. So much has changed in such little time, especially technology. You had to admit, you found yourself to be impressed by what these mortals were creating despite their limited knowledge and resources compared to your Pantheon.
Another thing you were glad to have improved was the night life. The 1950s party scene was nothing compared to the vast amount of clubs and bars that were around now. It made your adventures so much more exciting and easier.
This time, you chose to venture to the United States; Asia had begun to bore you. There really was no reason why you had picked Detroit, it just seemed right. Though, you were beginning to believe that your instincts were failing you.
Bleu Detroit seemed promising at first, but you quickly realized that not a single mortal at the club interested you. None of them deserved your attention nor your mere presence. Yet, you stayed.
There was a reason that you felt the need to go there and you were going to find out why. So you suffered through every human that approached you; unable to resist the natural pull they felt towards you. So far, the only amusing thing that had occurred was a memorable woman who asked you to have sex with her as the first words she spoke to you. You were almost tempted to accept if it weren’t for the instinct that told you she wasn’t the reason you were there.
There at least was a good amount of lust hanging in the air that satiated your appetite enough to tide you over. The rum you had been throwing down your throat also helped. Alcohol doesn’t affect you like it does a human, so the twentieth glass you ordered just barely gave you a buzz.
After wasting an hour and half perched on your seat at a booth towards the back turning away mortal after mortal, you were going to call it quits and try your luck at a different club. You heard promising things about this place called the Viper Room in California, maybe you ought to give it a try.
There also was always the option of going to a strip club, but that was a last resort. The debauchery there was always available, but it didn’t feel genuine. Manufactured lust, as you liked to call it. The best way you could describe it was to equate it to a fast food joint. The quality was always shitty, but it was always available and consistently shitty. That’s why clubs like Bleu Detroit were your preferred destinations. They were more like a Michelin star restaurant.
Just as you were about to give up and head over to California, you felt a shift in the atmosphere. The once dull yet ever present undercurrent of lust that permeated the air of the club was suddenly so overwhelming and potent that it just about knocked the wind out of you. The twenty plus drinks of hard liquor pulsing through your bloodstream had nothing on the intense aphrodisiac that abruptly surged through the atmosphere. Your senses swam as you realized that your instincts were as reliable as ever.
The reason that you came to this club in the first place just walked through the door, but you had yet to spot who it was. Your gut was alerting you that they still resided near the entrance of the building, but that’s all you knew.
You call it “your instincts” but in reality, it was your goddess powers. You always hated the way that sounded and “instinct” came as close to the truth as possible.
Now that you knew that your new worthy subject of desire was within arms reach, you were eager to lay your eyes on them. However, if they truly were as worthy of your attention as you believed, they would come to you without your having to interfere. That being said, you never were much of a patient deity. So what if you gave them a little bit of a nudge in your direction, it's not like planting the idea to get a drink into the person’s mind would make them any less deserving of you.
The closer they approached, the more intoxicated you became. You could tell almost immediately that this one would stand out from the rest of your lovers. Though, once you had the thought, it made a surge of disgust go through you. What a cliché.
Your senses got so incredibly overwhelmed that you could feel your eyes start to water as a group of four incredibly attractive men strode past you. Intrigued and also knowing that one of them was your new lover, you stopped the flow of time. Gracefully removing yourself from your seat despite your stilettos, you approached the group.
The first thing that you notice is that the two leading the group were shorter than the men following them. The next thing that you notice is that three of them were brothers; the two leading being twins.
The one man that wasn’t related by blood to the other three was truly a specimen. For a fleeting moment, you thought he was the lucky man of the night; he certainly had the looks for it. Sculpted arms adorned his figure that boasted the strenuous activities they were able to withstand. His hair fell in tightly coiled locks with half of it pulled up into a ponytail. If it had been any other circumstances, he would’ve been your first choice. But something in your gut told you that he wasn’t the one.
Your instincts were screaming at you that the man standing immediately to his left was the one who was driving your senses wild. Obeying their command, your eyes slid over to the man in question and had all the air ripped from your lungs. You were glad that you had stopped time; there was absolutely no way that you would let any puny human know just how badly they affected you.
Having said that, there was no stopping your jaw from falling open as you gazed upon your partner. He had brown eyes just like the others in his group, but unlike the others they had such dimension and personality you found it easy to get lost in them. You always had a thing for wavy/curly hair, and this just proved it. His hair seemed to cascade down in a waterfall of perfectly satin waves that shone under the vibrant lights of the club. He possessed a jawline so chiseled and sharp, you knew that the gods in your Pantheon would be envious of him. His lips were pulled into a devious yet confident smirk that made you weak in the knees. The man’s skin seemed to glow and radiate under the lights from the club and seemed to be clear of any imperfections. Part of you thought that it was one of the gods in your Pantheon in front of you, but if that were true then he wouldn’t be frozen in front of you.
You could go on about every attribute of this man and even then that would not do him justice. It was while you were taking in every detail you could that you vowed to never mistrust your instincts ever again.
You wanted to reach out and touch him, to run your fingers through his silky hair or trace his collarbone with your fingertips, but resisted. You may be a goddess, but you understood the concept of consent and boundaries.
Unable to wait any longer, you reclaimed your seat at the bar and resumed time. It would be less than a minute before he would spot you, but even that was too long. You had to force yourself from tracking his steps over to the bar, gluing your eyes to the drink in front of you. For fuck’s sake, you were a goddess, pull yourself together.

Nightfall had befallen Athens. The world was sheathed in a dark shroud save for the few specks of starlight fighting the dark. The fire of torches also joined in the star’s rebellion, their soft glow casting dim light in the prince’s room. As the flames danced along to the song of the ocean breeze, they projected shadows that moved along to the beat of the tune. It was a calming scene to behold. It would’ve been, had it not been for the worried royal injecting the air with his anxiety.
“All you are achieving is creating a trench in your floor.” The prince snapped his gaze over to his advisor, noting how he seemed unaware of the crushing weight Sam felt.
“Forgive me, Daniel. But the entire fate of thousands of men’s lives rests upon my ability to secure a marriage with this woman! So, pardon me if I seem a little tense!” Sam snapped, only halting his pacing to look the scholar in the eyes. He continued again right after he finished his outburst, feeling as if he could scratch all of his skin off.
Daniel remained quiet. There was no arguing with Sam on that; he held the fate of his country on his shoulders and that was not an easy weight to bear.
“I feel like a gift pony,” Samuel lamented, his hands pulling at his silken toga as well as tanging his fingers in his intricately dressed hair. He gazed longingly at the ocean, hearing her call him to her waters.
“Well, you are one, in a way,” Daniel asserted, taking in how his best friend looked. He wore his finest sandals, the straps crossing across his toned calves and stopping below his knee. His mulberry toga kept him modest above the knee, the silk draping from his right shoulder while his left was fitted with an intricate gold piece of shoulder armor that was very clearly decorative rather than practical on his left that coiled down his bicep. His hair, before Sam had ruined it, had been pulled up into an intricate and entrancing coil of skill, but now half of it was hanging down onto the back of his neck.
“Thank you, Daniel.” If looks could kill, Samuel’s best friend would’ve dropped dead then and there.
Chuckling to himself, Daniel stood up from his seat and gently guided the prince to take his place. Sam did so without protest, collapsing into the chair as the scholar stood behind him.
“Let’s see if we can salvage this,” Daniel muttered, carefully removing the golden wreath adorning his best friend’s head. Samuel winced as a few strands of hair were pulled by the crown, but he didn’t get angry.
“This is doomed. I was not made for this. I will cause Athens’ demise,” the prince groaned, feeling as if he could cry. He was sitting forward resting his elbows on his knees before the scholar placed a hand on his shoulder and pulled him so that he was sitting upright.
“Please, calm your worries. I will be right beside you the whole time,” his best friend soothed, his fingers running through Sam’s hair helping quell some of his anxiety.
The room went silent once again as Samuel got lost in his thoughts, the gentle brush of Daniel’s fingers calming him by each passing second. This wasn’t supposed to be his job. Samuel was supposed to take on a small area to govern and otherwise just stand there and look pretty.
“Alright. It is by no means what Ronnie’s maid was able to achieve, but I believe it’s passable,” the scholar declared, a note of pride in his voice as he admired his handiwork. Hearing it brought a tiny smile to the prince’s lips.
Samuel’s crown was placed back onto his head, the leaves gouging into his skin. There was a moment where it felt as if the scholar was drinking in the prince’s appearance, documenting each detail. Samuel wrote it off as him attempting to see anything he could possibly fix that was askew. However, it was hard for him to explain the hitch in his best friend’s breath as Sam looked over his shoulder at him.
“Are you ready?”
“No,” the prince instantly admitted, his head bowing. He was by no means ready for what was to come.
Now standing in front of his best friend, the scholar held out his hand. Sam regarded it before exhaling a deep sigh and placing his hand in Daniel’s. He was pulled up from his chair rather reluctantly, Daniel patting Sam on the shoulder before dropping his hand slowly.
“Remember, I’ll be right by your side. You have nothing to fear,” Daniel reassured, opening the door for his prince.
Staring at the gaping hole of the open door, Sam steeled himself and transformed into the royal he was required to be. Setting his shoulders back, he strode out of the safety of his bedroom and into the uncertainty of the future.
+++
Just as had been discussed, Samuel was to meet his family in the throne room. The Spartan princess had arrived the night prior but wouldn’t be properly introduced to the prince until the next night. Walking into that symbolic room, he found comfort in the gaze of his mother. She was clothed in black, still mourning the loss of her second son weeks after she had learned of his demise.
Just as promised, Daniel stuck to his best friend’s side as he made towards the front of the room. He stood front and center, on display for their guests. Daniel was off to the side but would be directly next to the prince within a moment should he need it.

Thirteen years. Thirteen years of war had been tearing apart the country that Sam called home. Ever since the age of ten, battle had been his reality. He has had to sacrifice so much for something so ridiculous, but what he has had to sacrifice pales in comparison to what his people have had to. So many mothers, wives, and children were without their sons, husbands and fathers all in the name of protecting their country over a scuffle that meant nothing.
“Please, father, just attempt to make peace with them. This fighting has gone on long enough,” Samuel pleaded, kneeling in front of the king sitting high atop his throne. Every time he spoke to his father, it always seemed to be while he was on the throne. He never got to speak to his father.
“You beg upon deaf ears, Samuel. Let it go. I will hear you speak of this no further,” the king sternly ordered, his face imitating the marble statues decorating the palace.
Knowing when he had lost, Sam got up from the floor and swept out of the room. He was furious. Couldn’t his father see all the harm he was causing on both sides??
Much like how most conversations with his father ended, the prince sought out his best friend in order to vent his frustrations concerning the king and this war. Without so much as knocking, Samuel stormed into his best friend’s living quarters.
“He will see no reason!!” the royal blared, pacing back and forth across the floor.
“Good evening to you as well, Sam,” Daniel dryly greeted. He was pouring over academic texts that went far beyond the prince’s knowledge. But that’s why he was part of the court in the first place; he was training to become Jake’s advisor.
“Does he not understand the torment and strain he is putting on this kingdom?! If he does not end this war soon, the people will ask for his head!!” Sam continued as if Daniel hadn’t said a word. He had one hand on his hip while his other rubbed at his forehead, the cape he wore brushing against his elbow while his fingers were poked by the heavy gold leaves digging into his scalp.
“You and I both know this is a matter of pride-”
“IS PRIDE WORTH THE BLOOD OF THOUSANDS OF MEN?!”
At his outburst, the room went silent. The pair of friends gazed at one another, Sam’s chest heaving as it attempted to keep pace with his anger. While the scholar’s face was blank, in his eyes Sam saw the compassion and pity swirling in them.
With a deep sigh, Daniel stood up from behind his desk. The prince stayed in his place while the scholar approached. He placed a hand on the prince’s shoulder. This wasn’t the first time this discussion occurred between them. “There is nothing in this world that is worth a person’s blood.”
Sam deflated at the touch. Daniel was one of the handful of people that saw the prince at his most vulnerable; he was the only one of non-blood relation, as well. The prince found himself leaning into the touch, if only slightly. He closed his eyes and let all of his fury seep out and calm at Daniel’s touch.
“Who else needs to die for this war to end?” Sam whispered. It was barely loud enough for Daniel to hear.
He couldn’t see it, but the scholar’s face shifted to one of empathy. He knew the amount of guilt the prince held due to his father’s stubbornness.
Sam suddenly was overly aware of the weight of his golden crown, his head hanging in shame. He felt his friend’s hand brush against his cheek in an act of solidary.
“If you can’t convince him, I’m afraid no one can.”
+++
After the sun had sleepily slipped below the horizon and the stars and moon partook in their duty of illuminating the inky sky, the prince laid in bed. He hadn’t even seen his father at dinner, the king off making battle plans with his war advisors. That left his mother, his sister Veronica, and Danile at the table. It had been silent and tense. The one person who could diffuse the tension was long gone.
His mind busy with thoughts racing around inside of it, Samuel fell into a restless sleep.
He dreamed of blood, of weapons. Of mothers falling to the ground in mourning for the death of their sons. Out of their mouths was the voice of his own mother, her haunting wailing sending chills down to his bone. Suddenly, it was the queen crumpled to the ground under the weight of her loss. In her arms was none other than Sam’s older brother who was off fighting the war. The crowned prince and next in line for the throne was being cradled by their mother as blood gushed out of a gaping wound in his chest. It gurgled out of his lips as he attempted to speak, his skin turning ever pale as he reached a hand out towards Sam. Before Sam could reach him, his arm went limp. He had lost his brother to the war.

All the Subliminal Things
A Jake Kiszka / fem!reader fic
Summary: Jake always was a sucker for all the little things about you.
Tags: schedule an appointment with your dentist beforehand because this fluff will rot your teeth, Jake is so madly in love with you (as he should be), getting together, the boys being themselves, blink and you miss it Sanny

A/N: I'm so sorry that this took so long! Fluff isn't my most comfortable trope to write but I wanted to work outside my comfort zone. Any constructive criticism would be much appreciated! Please enjoy!

For as long as he can remember, you were a part of Jake’s life. While that wasn’t necessarily true, you were everywhere he looked in his memory. You were his second friend - Josh being his first.
You were the only one who wanted to play with the cardboard building blocks with him.
“Let’s build a fort!” you cried after his wall had tumbled due to one of the other kids tripping and knocking into it.
He was trying not to cry, but he had spent so much time on that wall for it only to be destroyed in a heartbeat.
“It’ll be fun! And harder to knock down,” you continued, beaming down at him.
“Really?” he hopefully replied, looking up at the blurry figure in front of him. Guess his attempts not to cry were fruitless.
“Yeah! We can defend it and we can hide from the others!”
He couldn’t help it, your smile was just so contagious. Jake felt his tears begin to dry as you began collecting the green rectangles scattered across the classroom floor.
The days of his youth began bleeding together, blurring in the way that time tended to pass in. The years began to fly by, his k-12 education over within the blink of an eye. One day he was chasing you with a worm around the playground and the next he was studying for the SATs with you and Josh in his dining room.
“Guys, I need a break. Let’s go do something,” Josh whined, slumping in his seat in a dramatic exhibit of his exhaustion.
“Like what? It’s 11 at night, everything is closed,” Jake refuted, rubbing his forehead to try and subdue a headache.
“Why don’t you guys show me that new song you’re working on?” you suggested, looking up at the ceiling in thought. It was something you’d always done since you were little, something that Jake couldn’t stop himself from smiling at each time he saw it.
“Sam is already in bed and Danny’s parents won’t let him over this late,” Josh sighed.
“Who said we need a rhythm section right now?”
Jake and Josh shared a look with one another, unsure of their next course of action. If they played the song they knew they would want to work on it more; Sam and Danny would be upset if they weren’t involved in the writing process. The twins acknowledged this in their silent conversation to one another, both not wanting to deal with a whiny Sam the next day.
“Do it for me? I won’t tell the boys if you don’t, it can be our little secret,” you whispered, blocking one side of your mouth with your hand.
That was another thing Jake liked about you, he was never really able to say no to you. If you had asked for the sun, he’d find a way to put it in a jar and hand it to you just to see you smile.
He didn’t see the look Josh shot him because he was too focused on the way your hair slipped off your shoulder as you leaned forward, his eyes tracing the way it reflected the light from the dining room lamp overhead.
“What they don’t know won’t hurt them, right?” Jake asked, turning to his older brother. Josh could only sigh as he recognized the infatuated look in his twin’s eyes, knowing that he’d lost this fight.
“Alright, fine. But you two will be the ones dealing with Sammy when he throws a fit,” Josh relented, closing his notebook with a sigh.
Jake gave you a high-five, the both of you sharing huge grins with one another.
Jake was the one to suggest that they play outside to lessen the chances of his younger brother hearing. It was warm enough outside that you didn’t need to wear parkas and full snow gear, but a jacket was still required.
“Did you guys know that dandelion leaves are actually edible?” their friend informed them seemingly out of the blue.

Can We Keep It????
Glen and Glenda were walking home from school and heard a faint yipping noise. Being curious the twins went to go and investigate. They noticed a Black and White small fluff ball wiggling around.
"LOOK, Glenda!!! It's a puppy!!!"
"IT'S SO CUTE AND TINY!!!"
"What type of pup do you think it is?"
"I don't know it kinda looks like a German shepherd. But I've never seen a Black, Brown-ish and white one before."
"Huh. I might be a mix. Kinds looks like Husky but it doesn't have the curly tail"
"Let's take it HOME!!"
"Uh I don't know."
"Oh come on! We can't just leave him here!"
"That is true. Alright. You're coming with us"
Glen picked the dog us and held it in his arms. The pup started licking Glen and wagging its tail back and forth.
"AWWW!!!!"
When They Got Home
Chucky and Tiffany were outside doing yard work so it had been the perfect opportunity to sneak the dog inside the house. They ran to their room which has a bathroom and went to go give the dog a bath. They locked the door so their parents wouldn't walk in on them washing the pup.
"More Soap."
"Here."
They scrubbed and washed him. Finally they dried him off.
"Ok Shake!"
"SHAKE!"
"Glenda I don't think he knows the command."
Suddenly the dog shook and splashed water on the twins.
"GOOD BOY!!! Glen had me a treat!!!"
Glen handed his sister the treat and pet the pup.
They played with him in the room until they head a knock on their door.
"GLEN HIDE HIM!!!!"
Glen had no idea what to do so he took the puppy to the bathroom and closed the door.
"YEAH?"
"Kid's it's Dad! Come downstairs and eat! Mom made spaghetti meatballs"
"K! We'll be down in a second!"
The two gave the dog a ball and some treats and left him in the bathroom.
The four of them ate dinner and chatted a bit.
"So how was school?"
"Fine."
"It was good."
AWHROOOO!!
"The hell was that!!!"
The twins gave each other a look and looked down at the food avoiding eye contact.
"Uh! Nothing."
"What was what?"
AWHROOOO!!
"THAT! Sounds like it's coming from upstairs"
Chucky got out of his seat and was followed by his wife.
"SHOOT!!!"
"AHH! WE ARE DOOMED!"
The two of them raced after their parents.
"WHAT THE HELL?"
Chucky looked down at the dog, that started wagging his tail back and forth and licking him.
"KIDS!"
The two looked down at their feet and tried sneaking away.
"GLEN NOAH RAY! AND GLENDA ELISABETH RAY! FRONT AND CENTER!"
The two twins walked over to their parents.
"Where on earth did you find this dog?" Chucky was beginning to let his accent slip.
"Uhh. We heard it barking and it looked lost and lonely."
"So we thought......we could bring it home and take care of it. We couldn't just leave it there. All alone."
"Why didn't you just tell us?"
"We thought you would get mad at us."
"No. But we are mad that you tried to be sneaky about it and hide the dog from us."
Chucky was holding the dog in his hands. It kept licking him and it took everything in him not to start laughing since the licks were tickling him.
The twins looked at their parents and sighed. They both felt bad for lying to them.
"We're Sorry"
"Yeah We're sorry Mom and Dad"
"It's fine just don't lie to us next time. Ok?"
"Ok"
"Ok"
"So. What are we gonna do with this little guy?"
"I don't know Sweetface."
"Can we keep it!!! PLEASE!!"
"PLEASE! WE'LL DO EVERYTHING WE'LL CLEAN UP AFTER IT. WE'LL GIVE HIM BATHES!! WE'LL FEED HIM. WE WILL WALK HIM!! WE'LL DO EVERYTHING!!!!!"
"I don't know. Let me and your father talk this over. Go wait downstairs. You two."
"Yes, Mom"
"Yes, Mum"
The two of them went downstairs and waited for their parents to make a decision.
"Kids. Are you two gonna be responsible enough to take care of him? It's a HUGE responsibility. Are you two ready for that? "
"YES! YES! YES!! 100 TIMES YES!!!"
"ABSOLUTELY!!!!!"
"Then.... you can keep him."
"ARE YOU TWO SERIOUS!!!??"
"PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE NOT JOKING!!!"
"Yes, you can keep him."
"YAYAYAYAYAYAAAA!!"
"WE GOT A DOG!!! WE GOT A DOG!!!"
"So. What's his name?"
" OH SHOOT! GLEN HE NEEDS A NAME!"
"A NAME! YOU'RE RIGHT!!! UHHHH. HMMM, I DON'T KNOW?"
(K Ima write a separate fic about that. If you have any ideas for a name. Let me know. Send me a message and if I like it I'll name the new pup that name!)

THE MURDER HOUSE ON MOREHEAD 18+
Everyone knows that every Halloween ‘The Murder House’ puts on the best show. There have live actors in every terrifying room, a fully licensed bar, hot food, hell there’s even a hay ride through the woods, and this year, rumour has it, they’ve even got a swarm of zombie cheerleaders stalking the fake graveyard outside.
No one ever had Eddie Munson pegged to be a successful businessman. But he seems to have it all worked out. Until now. Until her.
WARNINGS: Period-Typical Homophobia / Bad Parent Laura Cunningham / Slow Burn / Hurt/Comfort / Eddie is a feeder / Henry Creel Exists/ Painful Break Up
Until that thing in the attic decides it’s had enough of its home being used a tourist attraction.
Eddie barked out a laugh as he beat the soccer mom into the only visible parking space. She shot daggers at him as he jumped down from the driver’s seat. His beaten up old Chevrolet van had seen better days. One of the sidepanels had a huge scrape down it, pock-marking the inside with specks of sunlight, the footwell was a driving hazard, piled with fast food wrappers and empty drinks cans.
It stuck out like a sore thumb. Just like its owner.
Hell, Eddie had never wanted to step foot back in this place.
Hawkins Highschool loomed ahead of him, and it was only the tide of the crowd that moved him inextricably forwards. He hadn’t been back here in years. The full 3-6-5 had looped the loop a couple times – three? No four. There was a leap year in the mix there somewhere too, probably. Honestly, he hadn’t been paying attention.
He’d baulked at the invitation and was already regretting being talked into it as the crowd swarmed the halls like a hive of fire ants.
It was all worth it seeing Dustin walk onto the stage with his stupid robe and his stupid hat.
It was even better when Dustin absconded from the ‘official’ afterparties and instead suggested they get blackout drunk in his garden. Dustin had invited the all the current and ‘legacy’ members of The Hellfire Club – an afterschool Dungeons & Dragons club that Dustin had been running for the last two years. It had been Gareth’s before that, Eddie’s before that, and Rick’s before that, though Rick had not accepted the invitation.
Eddie and Gareth had talked about it a lot before they’d handed Hellfire over to Dustin.
Mike had had more experience at running the game. He’d been taking on the role of Dungeon Master before he’d even hit Middle School. But Mike had a tendency to be oblivious as fuck to the world around him, accidentally rubbing people up the wrong way left right and centre. Hellfire Club was already a bit of a black sheep in terms of after school activities – and they’d joked Mike would run it into obscurity within a year.
Dustin, on the other hand, was… approachable, even if he was a little weirdo. Gareth said he had the same radar Eddie did, able to pick out the one lost sheep in the herd and shelter them from the wolves.
It was Dustin who had found them Erika Sinclair, and Erika who was responsible for the gaggle of Sophomores and Juniors sporting Hellfire shirts around the picnic table.
Every one of them was too young to partake in the alcoholic element of the celebrations – even by Eddie’s lax standards – but he said nothing as he watched the sixteen-year-old Sinclair abscond with a six-pack from the table and stealth it back to the group.
She didn’t know it yet, but Baby Sinclair was going to be the new face of Hellfire.
“You want to tell her now? Before she starts drinking?” Dustin asked.
Eddie grinned, “It’s your club man – she’s your protégé.”
“Yeah but, I kind of wanted you to…” Dustin made a weird jerk of his head, and Eddie understood.
Dustin wanted the theatrics.
Grinning, he swung his leg around the picnic bench and vaulted up onto the table.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, can I have your attention please!” He yelled, cupping his hands around his mouth. The general chatter died, and someone raced to turn off the record player.
“First of all, a big congratulations to four of my favourite weirdos for graduating.” Eddie raised his beer can to Dustin and then searched out Will, Lucas and Mike in the crowd. “On the first try too! Good job boys.”
A little cheer went up and Eddie took a healthy slug from his can before crushing it in one hand.
“Now, I have to be honest, losing four members of my little ol’ club in one go – that’s pretty extreme. You know?” Eddie said, kicking at an imaginary football. “You boys get to play with the big guns again –” he admitted, grinning. Honestly, he was really looking forward to pulling them into the monthly sessions all the old gang still managed to pull off around their mismatched schedules. “but, what of Hellfire?”
Eddie tossed the crushed up can in air and caught it, before throwing it again and batting it right at Erika.
She flung her hands up just in time and knocked it away, “What the hell Eddie?”
“What do you say Sinclair the Younger? You ready?”
“For what?”
Eddie grinned as Dustin held out his Dungeons Masters Screen, Eddie took it from him and held it aloft.
“With great power, Sinclair.”
“Are you fucking kidding me? I have to look after these losers for the next two years?”
Eddie cackled. Her mask of annoyance lasted less than three seconds before a grin was spreading across her face and she was jogging over to take the screen from him.
Eddie held it higher, putting out his hand to pull her up onto the table before presenting it to her and lifting her arm like she was a champion wrestler.
When he finally set her down and let her scamper back off to her table to get squashed into a group hug, Gareth was looking up at him patiently.
“Sup man?”
“I have an idea.”
Eddie grinned wickedly, “That’s dangerous. I’m in.”
Just as Eddie was about to jump down he caught Steve beckoning him over from the other side of the garden, looking haggard.
“Hold that thought.” Eddie told Gareth, “I’ll be back in a minute.”
He hopped down and bee-lined for Steve.
“I need to tell you something, and you need to swear you will never tell another living soul.”
“…O…kay?”
“Eddie, swear.”
“Yeah, of course.”
“Swear on Hellfire.”
Eddie baulked, “I… swear. I swear on Hellfire I will never breathe a word. What’s up?”
“I need you to do something for me – well, it’s not for me, it’s for Robin.”
“Okay.”
“You can say no.”
“Okay. Dude. What?”
“You swear.”
“Harrington, for fuck’s sake. Yes. Just… what?”
Eddie’s mind was still trying to reboot when he made his way back to Gareth, so he missed a lot of the minor details. But he caught the important parts. Creepy House. Keys. Halloween Attraction. Business Partners.
“We’d need an artist though.” Gareth was saying, stroking an imaginary beard.
“What about Will?”
“Byers?”
“Yeah man, he’s like… legit. He’s applying to art programmes and all kinds of shit.”
Gareth looked over to where Will was stood with Mike, hanging onto his best friends every word.
“Yeah, okay. Ask him.”
“You ask him.” Eddie laughed, “It’s your idea – and I need to um, I need to…”
“What?”
Eddie scowled. “Okay – fine. I’m going to go hit on Buckley.”
“You what?” Gareth scoffed.
“It’s about time, no?”
“I didn’t even know you liked her.” Gareth admitted, surprised.
Eddie shrugged.
“I thought… um, I thought she might be…” Gareth starts slowly, and Eddie saw red flashing lights and heard alarm bells. He had no come back, so he simply failed to let Gareth finish, standing up and walking away.
“Are you sure?” Eddie asked Robin when he got close enough.
Her eyes were red-rimmed, and she looked pale and unhappy.
“Are you?”
Eddie shrugged, smiling reassuringly at his friend. “I’m down. Whatever you want.”
“It doesn’t have to be for long!”
“Whatever you need Buckley.”
“But what if… what if you meet someone?”
Eddie laughed, “Me? Meet someone? In Hawkins?”
“Your chances are better than mine.” Robin joked weakly.
Eddie smiled half-heartedly. “Is Steve the only one who knows?”
Robin nodded. “Well, and you, and obviously I know, and—” She cut herself off, and he saw the physical strain it took to get the next word out: “Tammy.”
“Tammy Thompson?”
“I didn’t—it was—it doesn’t matter but just, I…”
“That’s why you want to do this?”
Robin sucked in a huge breath and then nodded.
“Okay, we’ll do it.”
“Tonight?”
Eddie re-examined her tear-stained cheeks and unsteady hands.
“I think you should sleep on it first, before you decide…”
Robin reached out and grabbed his wrist. “No, she only found out tonight, if I can… if I can prove she got it wrong, that she… she just had too-much-to-drink, she… that I-like-boys…”
Her grip was surprisingly strong, the words pouring out of her without a pause for breath. Eddie automatically stepped closer, cupping her face just to soothe his friend.
Her eyes locked with his, like this was the moment he had to decide. That for Robin, this couldn’t wait for another day.
Even if she changed her mind, Eddie thought, they could call the whole thing off and laugh away any comments from their friends about one drunk little kiss.
Eddie raised his eyebrows and Robin bobbed her head a millimetre.
“Urgh, this is going to be like kissing my sister.” Eddie whispered, pulling a face.
“You don’t have a sister.” Robin whispered back as they moved closer together.
“If I did, I would totally hook you two up.”
Robin laughed, and their lips met.
Someone whooped from nearby and when they broke away – Eddie’s hand still gently cupping Robin’s face – they saw Steve jumping up and down, pumping his fist like he’d just seen his favourite team hit a home run.
Eddie chuckled, pressing his forehead against Robin’s.
“You don’t think Steve would have been a better choice?”
“The serial dater?”
“Fair. Come on, let’s get a drink.”
Eddie pulled away and took her hand in his. She fell into step beside him easily as they made their way to the kitchen. Mrs Wheeler was inside, and Eddie knew from Mike’s droning monologues that she was best friends with Tammy Thompson’s mom.
Robin obviously knew that too, because before he’d even had a chance to plan a move she had spun him around and pressed him against the counter, her hands bundled in his shirt and her mouth enthusiastically crushing his.
“Robin! Eddie! There are children here!”
Robin backed up breathlessly and mumbled out an apology, her eyes twinkling triumphantly. Eddie wiped the spit from around his mouth and grinned at Mrs Wheeler, “I’ll wait until I get her home later.”
Mrs Wheeler threw him an exasperated look and left, leaving the two of them on their own.
“Have you ever kissed anyone before?” Eddie laughed, turning around to pour a drink.
Robin was cackling, clearly elated that such an opportunity had presented itself.
“Is it that obvious?” She asked, coming to stand beside him, and holding out the bottle of cola.
“Alright, listen, rule one: if you’re going to shove your tongue down my throat--- no, scratch that. Rule one: Do not put your tongue in my mouth. Ever.”
THREE YEARS LATER
Robin was late.
Robin was always late. But today, she was late late. Like, even Eddie was going to be pissed at her. It wasn’t all her fault. The platters of sandwiches and confectionary they’d ordered in advance hadn’t been ready when she’d arrived at the store, and then the cart she was using had wheels with a mind of their own, and then she’d forgotten about the road works. Eddie had told her about them, warned her to go another way, but… well, she had cream cheese on her top from where she’d nearly up-ended one of the platters, and she was sweaty from manhandling the out of control cart, and that stupid woman in the store had acted like it was Robin’s fault the store hadn’t fulfilled the order they’d had for an entire week.
She skidded up the gravel driveway, the hand-painted ‘CASTING NIGHT’ sign a blur in her peripheral as she skidded to a stop.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I-love-you-I’m-sorry!” She rushed as she spilled out of the van and into Eddie.
“Where the hell have you been?”
“Don’t be mad! It wasn’t my fault…”
As they unloaded the van, Robin explained about the store, and the cart, and the cream cheese, and the roadworks.
“Is Gareth mad at me?” Robin asked as she finished her monologue.
“Furious. But Will’s distracting him, I think you’re safe.”
They moved away from the large Victorian house looming over them and around the back to the much smaller, much simpler ‘guest house’ that they used as a backstage area for the cast and crew, as storage for whatever furniture or props weren’t currently in use, and generally as a giant shed. Which, co-incidentally is what Eddie and Gareth had christened the building as.
Eddie balanced his share of the platters on one arm and got the door for Robin. She stepped through the main door of The Shed and bee-lined for the kitchen in the back, she dumped the platters down and immediately rushed to fill up one of the giant urns with water to get it on to boil.
Eddie worked quickly to spread all the platters out across the battered old dining table that dominated the kitchen and then dragged some worn out bowls from the cupboards and threw the big share-size bags of chips down into them.
There was enough food to feed fifty and enough coffee to see them through the next world war but Eddie still frowned down at the groaning table.
“Will this be enough?”
“It’s twenty peoples worth more than we had last year, and we did okay then.”
Last year, everyone had managed to get a little something to eat, but Eddie and Robin hadn’t been the only ones piling into Benny’s for a burger at the end of the night. Eddie wanted everyone to be able to eat their fill this year, and if the buzz was anything to go by they were going to have even more people here than last time, especially if Steve’s little cheerleader plot came to fruition.
Plus, he’d like there to be leftovers for Jonathon tomorrow when he came to take photographs for the fresh promotional material. ‘The Murder House’ was open year-round, but the real fun (and the real money) only came at Halloween.
The rest of the time it was a cooky novelty bar with a function room for hire. They put on the odd gig, played horror movies on a screen outside. They had a handful of live actors dotted around but the ‘tour’ was mostly just to take in the creepy rooms and look at all the random creepy shit they had stacked in glass cases everywhere. They kept it ticking last year, scraping by long enough to get them to next Halloween for the real fun, but had finally decided the place needed a touch up, and the whole venue had been closed for a while now. They’d unanimously agreed it would be a smart move to coincide the re-opening with the month long Halloween spectacle.
Really, it was a good job Gareth’s parents had just gifted him the monstrosity of a house. There was no way they’d be able to afford their little passion project otherwise. Their original idea of kitting it out as a bed and breakfast in the off-season had come to a spectacular stand-still only three weeks in. In fact, if it wasn’t for the balls on Will Byers – and the already kindling soft spot he had for Gareth – the whole thing would have been down the toilet before it even started.
But they had the house rules now, and anyone who didn’t take them seriously either figured things out the hard way or were bodily removed from site with a lifelong ban and a reassurance that this was the most pleasant of the possible outcomes as they were thrown into the gravel outside.
HOUSE RULES
A BUDDY SYSTEM MUST BE IN PLACE AT ALL TIMES. YOU MUST NEVER BE ALONE IN THE MAIN HOUSE.
DO NOT GO IN THE ATTIC
IF YOU HEAR NOISES FROM THE ATTIC, NO YOU DIDN’T.
They had no trouble with rules two and three. The stairs leading up to the attic had been blocked off with a heavy-duty metal gate that was locked at all times. Gareth and Eddie each had a key, and it took both keys (and both of their strength) to get into the damn thing.
It was rule one new people seemed to have a hard time with. ‘it was only for a second’, ‘I just needed something from my car’, ‘I needed the toilet, my buddy is my boyfriend, you think I want him to hear me peeing?’. Every god damn excuse in the book.
But now they had guides for all the tour groups, the toilets were unisex, there were signs banning anyone from leaving the group unless there was an emergency, in which case they had to talk to their guide. Every guide and every member of the backstage crew was linked up with a radio.
Nothing had ever actually even happened to anyone outside of the attic, they were just being cautious, and maybe playing it up a bit for the spook factor.
“I need to let Gaz know the foods sorted. Will you come up with me?” Eddie asked.
Robin nodded, plugging in the urn and double checking the lid was secure before turning around. She automatically took Eddie’s hand as they left The Shed and headed outside and up towards the main house.
They’d been ‘dating’ for three years now, and it had become habitual by now, to the point where people didn’t have to be around for them to hold hands, or for Eddie’s arm to go around her shoulder when they were watching television, or for her to hold his waist to move him out of the way and just naturally turn into a hug.
She’d even gotten him to quit smoking (well, she thought she had anyway)
They did love each other, very much. Just not in the way everyone thought. Steve was still the only one who knew, even after Will and Gareth had come clean about their own relationship, Robin still wasn’t ready to come out to anyone but Eddie and Steve, and just as he’d predicted, Eddie hadn’t met anyone that made him want to put a permanent end to his faux-relationship.
They had ‘breaks’ sometimes. Their friends just thought their relationship was volatile, but really Robin was just giving him the green light to land a couple of one-night-stands without being branded a cheater if anyone happened to see him picking a girl up and start spreading rumours. This was their longest stint, it had been six months since their last ‘fight’. Eddie had bedded some girl in Indianapolis, and lay there afterwards, sweaty and itchy and came to the startling realisation that he would much rather be platonically big-spooning his best friend than lying next to some stranger in a hotel room.
There might not have been anything sexual between them, but there was still intimacy, and Eddie had realised he really wasn’t bothered about sex when it was ‘just sex’.
He’d snuck out and drove back to Hawkins, he’d let himself into Robin’s house, showered and climbed into bed next to her.
“Did you strike out?” Robin had asked sleepily, budging up to give him more space.
“No, but… she snored. Couldn’t sleep.”
“Ah. Better luck next time.”
Eddie had nibbled his bottom lip for a moment and then said, “Let’s not ‘fight’ anymore, okay?”
“Okay Eddie.” Robin had agreed sleepily, giving his arm a reassuring squeeze.
Eddie swung their hands between them as they walked up the steps onto the porch and through the stained glass front door, shouting out to the other two. “Yo, lovebirds!”
The next two chapters are already available on AO3
