I love this scene and the way it's blowing up the internet bc to me its PROVING the importance of NC scenes but also WHY THE FUCK THEY'RE THERE. The reason these scenes need to bee included is because they show things that you wouldn't see. The characters dressed head to toe in their vulnerability, in their desire, in their love for one another. This scene is the culmination of so much pent up love, heartache, hurt, longing, and it shows. It shows what's important, not what's explicit. It has dialogue, it has intimate shots. The purpose of GOOD and WELL PLANNED sex scenes IN ANY PIECE OF MEDIA NOT JUST BL is to tell something, to show us something. NC scenes are part of the plot, and the fact that its THIS ONE everyone is talking about shows it... or maybe I'm deep in my internet bubble and I don't notice what else is going on but my point stands. This whole show is masterfully directed, and its brilliance extends to all aspects of it. This scene heals. This scene is necessary. This scene is great

When yesterday I watched the first 2 episodes of crazy ex-girlfriend I expected to see a funny little romcom parody with funny little parody songs and lots of meta humour.

What I did NOT expect is actually quite sad story about fundamentally broken person who tries to gather her life piece by piece. Heavily depressed person who even wasn't able to feel literally anything because of heavy medications and improper treatment.

I was under the impression that Crazy ex-girlfriend is "Rebecca being ha-ha funny", while it is actually "Rebecca being ha-ha on the verge of nervous breakdown and she has every reason to be the way she is and crazy is a bad term to call someone who is in a bad place mentally".

I forgot to say this when I first watched the show but I wanna say in jatp when julie's dad was angry about her missing school, the kids didn't really recognize it fully. Carlos said it as an afterthought and you know what he said? He said "careful, dad has that face like when google maps tells him to turn on the wrong street". Not "careful, dad's in one of his moods" or "careful, he's angry" like I would've said when I was that age about my father. Their dad was rightfully upset about her missing class, but when julie apologized he calmed down and accepted. We stan Julie and carlos' dad so fucking hard, as hard as he's trying to father well.
