It was Friday night, and DJ and Courtney were sitting in Geoff’s basement. It was a bit of a tradition for the five friends to come over and hang out. Sometimes they’d have a game night, but tonight was specifically dedicated to movies.

“I’m getting really tired of showing up first.” Courtney said in frustration. She was known for being punctual, and even let her friends get away with being late for a few minutes, but tonight was getting irritating.

“They’ll be here soon.” DJ reassured her. In truth, he had no idea when the rest of the group would arrive. He knew Duncan would show up last minute, but Geoff and Bridgette should have been here a few minutes ago.

“DJ, it’s Geoff’s house and we’re here before him. I’m leaving.”

As Courtney got up from the couch DJ reached his hand out and tugged her back down. He understood her patience was wearing thin, but he also knew she’d get over it the minute everyone walked in.

“Come on, look on the bright side. At least we get first dibs on what to watch.”

Courtney thought for a minute before sighing, and sinking back into a comfortable position, “I guess.”

She looked around the room. It was in decent shape to say the least. Geoff had a habit of being messy, but it looked as if he had cleaned up, or at least tried to. Courtney spotted a glass dish on the coffee table, it wasn’t there last week but she distinctly remembered giving Geoff some pointers on how to be a proper host. She smiled, he had finally listened to something worthwhile.

“At least he listened to some of my advice, and left some candies on the table.” She said and pointed. DJ nodded in agreement. They did not hesitate to indulge in a few pieces.

45 minutes later

The duo was still waiting for their friends. On the inside Courtney was ready to start a war with whoever dared walk in first, but she was also feeling a bit off. Somehow, she felt all the particles in her body tingling with every movement. Oddly enough, she found the sensation hilarious. She held in her own laugh as DJ began saying something.

“Do you ever feel like a plastic bag?”

He was staring at the ceiling fan, his head slowly moving in conjunction with the blades. Courtney watched him in disbelief. Katy Perry? Seriously?

“DJ, I love you, but please shut up… and yes.”

They both laughed at the reference of the throwback. Courtney then got up abruptly, gasping as if she found out all of life’s secrets, “You know what would be really fun?!”

“Buying a pet bunny?” He said as he stared off into space.

“Yes! But also, a walk.” DJ gasped. A walk sounded like the best thing in the world, right after getting a bunny of course.

“Oh my gosh, Courtney. You read my mind! AND maybe something to eat or drink?”

The two practically jumped in excitement and headed toward the back door.

Literally 15 minutes later

The remaining three friends walked into Geoff’s basement. Geoff would be lying if he said he wasn’t just a little scared as they were almost an hour late. To his surprise his two friends were nowhere to be found.

“Where are DJ and Courtney?” He asked.

Duncan shrugged and slumped onto the couch. Geoff looked over at Bridgette who just pulled her phone out, and stepped into the other room. It was probably one of them saying they left, he wouldn’t blame them. Geoff felt bad for not even letting them know he was running behind.

He sat next to Duncan and reached for the glass dish, he needed to try his buddy’s edibles. His face turned to confusion as he noticed the dish was empty.

“Wait, where are my edibles?”

“Where you left them.” Duncan said without looking over. He was busy texting whoever he had met the previous night. It seemed as though the night was over before it began at this point, and if he was lucky he’d be able to sneak away and have some fun.

“I may be high for the majority of the day, but I know when something isn’t really there.”

Bridgette ran in before the two could continue their conversation, “Guys, I just got off the phone with Noah.”

“And we care because?” Duncan asked. He rolled his eyes as Geoff nudged him to listen.

“Because…” Bridgette bagan, “…he has DJ and Courtney, who are currently causing some problems at the Starbucks he works at.”

“Did he get the Princess’s order wrong again?”

Bridgette glared at Duncan. Was there ever a time his brain didn’t immediately go to sarcasm? She knew he meant well, Courtney had only mentioned a few things before, but she definitely could not bring them up. Either way, Duncan’s facade was seriously starting to get old.

“No, they apparently ordered the whole menu. Noah yelled for DJ to put the fake coffee cup standee down because it’s not real before hanging up too.”

“I told you standees are creepily realistic!” Duncan exclaimed.

Geoff thought about what Bridgette was saying. He wondered what was going on with his friends. It was unlike them to leave without a proper scolding, and it was odd for them to have Noah of all people calling them for help. Geoff looked around the room and noticed his back door was slightly ajar, then he looked at the bowl in his hand. The wheels were slowly turning in his head before he looked at Duncan and Bridgette.

They too had noticed what Geoff came to realize, just a few seconds beforehand.

“Shit.” Geoff said as he and Duncan shot up from the couch. Bridgette grabbed Geoff’s keys and tossed them to him, “Let’s go.”

- Diversity! Since it's been around for so long, there's tons of fics to read. If you can think of it, someone has probably written it. There's a Mewtwo fic I found in college that's basically a retelling of the events of the first movie, but holy shit it's written so beautifully it made me cry in front of my friends rjrhdgde. It's a dense read, but still one of my absolute favorite fics to this day. That's just an example of things you can find!

- Sub-fan bases. Basically, if you're a big fan of a certain Pokémon, a type of Pokémon, one of the games, etc., you're going to find your people very easily. Kind of falls under the first one a bit but ya know lol.

- Some of the cutest and also the most badass fanart comes out of this fandom. I have both art of a Sylveon with a lollipop and art of Mewtwo breaking out of their armor from the first movie. The duality of man djrhdgs

SoulsBorne

-Maybe I've gotten lucky and just found really nice people, but so far my experiences in the community have been largely positive! I've met some of the loveliest people by posting my Dark Souls and Bloodborne fics, and it really got me back into writing OCs again (you know that's my lifeblood lol)

-Character and lore analyses. Not that I agree with all of them, of course I don't, but if you want an analyses of anything in these games, there's some mad lad out there that's done it, whether it's a post or through an entire fic. Gives you tons to think about!

-ART!! Holy shit there's so many amazing artists in this community. We don't talk about how much SoulsBorne art I've snagged at conventions (I got more of it and Elden Ring stuff at Magfest don't look at me fjfhdhd)

Lies of P

-I haven't been in this fandom for long, but so far everyone I've met has been very sweet! They're also super OC-friendly. I can't tell you how many Stalker and Puppet OCs I've seen, among others, it's really amazing!

-Probably gonna say this for all of my fandoms but the ART OMG. There's so much gorgeous fanart floating around for this game it's insane. Still on the hunt for more Romeo pieces tho rjrhehe

-Headcanon diversity. Do you want a totally mute P? One that talks sometimes? One that's Had Enough? What I'm getting at is there's a P out there for everyone! People have been exploring all the different character angles on him and it's wonderful to see.

Ultrakill

-THE HYPE. Since this is an early access game still in development, the hype that cranks up every time an update is announced is INSANE. I don't think I've ever seen this level of it for an indie game. I got in just in time to witness this for the Violence update and the rush it gives you seeing everyone so excited is amazing!! It helps that every single update has just been an absolute banger. We have reason to be super excited, the devs do stellar work!!

-LORE. Do you wanna feel like Charlie at the corkboard in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? Because that's where I'm definitely at right now. Since we're in the last act of the game, there's so much speculation and so many theories about how the game will end. On top of that, people have been playing in the lore sandbox ever since this game started. I know I've def been up at night wondering how the hierarchy of Heaven works and what certain layers of Hell were like before Certain Events TM (I'm being vague because I know at least one person wants to play this bear with me lol). Basically there's tons to explore and the community collectively goes insane about different bits, we have fun here lmao

-I'm bundling art and memes into this one because oh my GOD. The tonal whiplash is a rollercoaster ride. You can go from the most heart-wrenching art of Gabriel you've ever seen to a piece that goes "V1 is a shrimp now" and sometimes you just need that snap back to some levity. The memes are absolutely top-tier. It helps that the voice actor for Gabriel already does memes and shitposts on his YouTube channel, so he just carries that over for Ultrakill stuff sometimes and y'know what? This game is dark, I'm gonna need these memes for when the ending makes me bawl like a baby. The Violence layer already has me feeling the creeping sense of dread (if you know you KNOW).

I finally got around to reading Dune! It's going really sloooow since I have been working and trying to write my thesis at the same time, but so far so good! (The 1st movie def didn't do justice to some things oops)

I haven't really been to the cinema this year. Objectively, I would say it was Banshees of Inisherin (which I saw with Iva ofc hehe). In terms of the experience of live screening it def was The Rocky Horror Picture Show! It was so fun, I loved people singing and making comments to the plot, epic

Most days of the year you'll see me in mom jeans and a shirt tucked in them or a sweater over them for colder periods of the year. Recently I bought high-waisted wide-leg black jeans and I AM IN LOVE. For shoes I prefer the vans sneakers and dr. martens boots.

Recently, I got back into writing fanfiction bc of watching KP, here's my fave line from my fic (ofc titled after MCR) The world is ugly, but you're beautiful to me:

Kinn sits up and studies the night in Bangkok. The bright yellow lights of the buildings are reflected in the darkness of the river. The Theerapanakul headquarters are amongst the brightest shining buildings, shaping the skyline of the city.  Sometimes the building feels like his home, swarming with memories of his brothers and him playing, of his mother reading them stories and preparing them for bed. Growing up made it feel like a prison in which he exists, simply fulfilling his destiny.

what is something that you’d like to create content for?

Before I got into KP brainrot, I really wanted to write for Beyond Evil, but never got to it. But now, I do have a pretty well-developed idea for a BE fic! Everything is on hold until I finish my thesis tho

here you go anon! a handful of sweet and spicy headcanons that i wrote instead of working on the actual chapter lmao

Sweet:

Roger met Margo when they were in uni but only after Queen broke up. She was not into the grunge scene and sometimes still teases him about trying to be Dave Grohl.

Roger was 34 when Sylvester was born. Most of his friends already had kids so he defs felt a bit weird about being an older first time dad, but he'd also wanted kids for ages. He and Margo agreed to start properly trying for them after they'd been married for about six months but it was a few years before they were successful. In fact, they'd started looking into fertility specialists and adoption agencies when they found out Margo was pregnant. Roger counts his kids births as the happiest days of his life.

Reader first came to Roger's attention when she bombed an assignment. He had a fairly large cohort of bio students to teach so while he was previously aware of her it was only as one name among many. Her work had been decent up to that point, though not the best in the class, and he mentally pegged her as one of the kids who'd struggle as the bio content got harder and end up dropping the subject. Instead she buckled down and improved her work which very much impressed Roger. He was pleased to say he was wrong and see her back in his class in second year.

on weekends that he has his kids he makes sure they do any homework and chores early so that the rest of the weekend can be more fun. They usually pop to the video store on their way home from school and each pick something to rent and some fun snacks so that they can have a movie night (which sometimes includes building a blanket fort). Once when both kids had chickenpox he moved the TV into his bedroom and they all curled up in his big beg with ice cream.

His kids have been on multiple playdates with the children of other kinksters he met at munches, mostly when they were younger. There was a boy around the same age as Sylvester who's mum was a widow just starting to try and meet guys again. She and Roger hooked up a couple of times but it wasn't a regular thing. But they did take their kids to the park together and babysit for each other sometimes. Roger used to joke about starting a babysitting roster with some of the other parents to determine who'd watch all the kids while they others were having an orgy.

Spicy

Roger has had 3 serious/regular play partners since his divorce. Two of them he dommed (although there was a little switching sometimes) and one that dommed him. Be he's also done one off scenes with a few others, mostly in private but one or two public demonstrations at play parties.

As hed got older he'd found himself drawn to submitting more. In his 20s he and Margo started experimenting with it a bit and once he got into the kink community he found he really really liked it. It's nice being told what to do. Different to being a dad or a teacher where he's the one giving instructions. Letting someone else call the shots and look after him feels really nice.

His weekly sessions with Reader is the most regular sex he's had in a good six or seven months. His previous regular partner moved away for work and he hadn't found anyone else yet when Readder approached him with her proposal. He sometimes thinks it was the semi-dry spell he was in that made him say yes.
