random note about king on that animation, i got really lucky with how simple his animation was and how clean my sketches were to begin with that i was able to do very minimal cleanup on what i had sketched (and add back. his horn. it's supposed to take place just after echoes of the past, Oops) and call it done that way instead of having to redraw the entire thing like i had to on his dad

first sketch > line cleanup > nearly final animation (i'd added slight eye movements last-second but otherwise that's the final)

this week, in the spanish singing program operación triunfo, they sung escriurem, a song by catalan singer miki núñez - more specifically, they sung the version of the song he did with basque singer izaro, in catalan and euskera.

in operación triunfo it was sung by chiara, who is from menorca and thus speaks the menorquín dialect, very different from miki's barcelonese one (i don't speak catalan and still noticed the changes from the original to chiara's one); and martin, from the metropolitan area of bilbo (specifically getxo). for what i've seen people comment, his town doesn't really have many basque speakers, and his dialect is the one they learn at school, the most neutral one. izaro is from gipuzkoa (more specifically from mallabia) so i imagine they have different dialects as well, i haven't listened enough to the bilingual version to really get the differences but i'm sure a more trained ear will be able to do so!

I just had the stupidest Idea for the per zoo AU but hear me out.

Rad exchange program time and when the brothers find out that two humans will be brought down they just immediately go "IK." and so Diavolo obliges (but he tells them smth along the lines that it's a random picking to make it a sort of surprise)

The exchange day comes and Ik suddenly finds herself in a strange room....as a black baby sheep. (inspired by MC BC I feel like it would be so funny for IK to be the animal this time) and the brothers just look confused cause like why is there a sheep here.

AND IK JUST FULL ON STARTS TALKING and they have a very cool reunion (Also Ik is such a small sheep compared to those massive giants,she sits on Mammons head)

oh i love this so much. diavolo's silently SO excited for the big reveal, the brothers can finally stop moping when they think he's not looking, then POOF one of these shows up

lucifer has to restrain his brothers from just swarming her the minute they figure out what's going on, because she is so small that they might actually crush her

as opposed to talking normally though i think she'd still make animal sounds (like the brothers were stuck with), but their bond's strong enough at this point that they can sort of infer what the bleating means - failing that, they might get her a magical equivalent of those buttons that dogs use to 'talk'

they get her a bell so she jingles whenever she goes trotting around. also they still try to treat her like they do as a human, so she still gets her own room with a massive bed and her own seat at the table (though she inevitably ends up on someone's shoulders or something)

Heya, a quick sketch because I haven't drawn anything at all today. I truly miss baking due to busy schedule so here's Theia baking chocolate chip cookies!! They're all irregular shaped because she had some helping hands from the waddle dees.

And every once in a while, the three would go out picnic. (Pretend there's more than a bowl of cookies). It's a time where they're not tied up by work and able to just relax for a bit. Kirby loved being sandwiched between the two because he'll get a lot of head pats and scratches from Theia. Meta Knight often received head pats and scratches from Theia (he loves it, even though he looked like he despised it) simply because she can't even stay still and often loved showing others she cared for them (via head pats and etc etc)

And not only them, the others would join them too and sometimes food fight ensued but only once.

god I know this is like The Wrong Stance on AI. I know its not about whether the art is Real and Human or If It Has A Soul and how a lot of the arguments against it are the same bullshit arguments people made against digital art like I Know. I Knowwww. but god, I'm really sorry, not to post like one of those annoying poetry bloggers I cant stand (yall are valid, live your truth, theres nothing wrong with what you post I'm just a petty bitch who hates poetry. unless I dont hate it.)

But theres just something about the way AI art will almost certainly never be able to mimic the exact way my pencil leaves an indentation in the paper, the way some of the lines I can never fully erase cause I pressed too hard, theyll have to at least train them to draw with a physical pencil first, and sure, they could train it to draw with a pencil and even erase the exact same piece I drew, line for line, on a piece of paper with a robot arm powered by AI, but they can't replicate. idk. the lineage of lefty bitches in my family, and the way I grew up going through school with my entire left arm silver with graphite, from doodling on my schoolwork. not yet anyway. but I guess I do live for the day we make the ai sentient enough that we can traumatize it by giving it homework after kneecapping its executive functions so it copes by drawing a big tiddy lobster monster. sure
