“GOOD! NOW PUNCH HIS FACE!”
— when your baby and gojo, geto, nanami, toji, and sukuna get protective over you (f!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: I am alive!! as an apology here is a multi-character post 🙏 btw in toji's part, you're megumi's mom
Tumblr media
GOJO SATORU:
two peas in a pod, twins, copies: these are all things people have called your husband and son.
honestly, they’re not wrong. your son has his father’s looks—satoru swears he has your nose and ears but anyway—and he carries the same protectiveness and love he holds for you, if not amplified.
you can’t count on one hand the amount of times the house has been turned upside down because of their fights for a cuddle session with you.
of course, you have always tried suggesting them simply sharing you, but these problem children would rather eat raw zucchini than ever share the cuddle time.
so while your son is barely six, you can still count on him to team up with satoru against anyone who wrongs you in anyway like what’s happening right now for example.
you’re out with your lovely family to buy some groceries, and since they both were whining about getting some sweets, you allowed them to go and snatch a couple from the next aisle.
on the other hand, you stayed to look for another type of detergent to clean the floor—especially since satoru got this new type of paint for s/n and it’s quite an endeavor to remove it with a regular detergent.
however, being in the cleaning supplies section never guaranteed the lack of filthy men who can’t take no for an answer. this one man approaches you, smug grin on his face as he leans on the wall, “what’s a pretty lady like you doing alone?”
“buying groceries like a normal person; now please leave me alone.”
he quickly frowns, “don’t be so stingy doll,” his hand extends towards your arm, “I can show you a good time; I promise—“
the man is swiftly smacked with an egg on his face, and he is left with the egg dripping down his face, “what’s your wrong with your kid, man?!” he yells at the person behind you.
he then grumbles, “ruined a potential good night.”
“my kid was absolutely right in what he did,” you hear satoru’s voice. you then feel a hand on your shoulder, and you’re pulled into a chest you’re all too familiar with, “’toru—“
your husband shoots a small smile your way, pressing a quick kiss to your lips, before looking at his son, “that last throw was very good, s/n! throw another one but just below his stomach."
a cheshire cat-like grin is plastered on your husband’s face as s/n prepares to launch another egg at the man.
there is a very evident scowl on your son’s face as he yells, “don’t you ever bother mama again, you stinky bum crumb!”
the man gasps and tries to make a run for it, but your son wouldn’t be the son of gojo satoru if he doesn’t manage to land the hit exactly where he wants.
the man quickly crumbles to the ground screaming and alerting literally everyone in the store.
so satoru picks both you and s/n and makes a run for it.
you hold tightly onto him, “wait, ‘toru, the groceries!”
“we can always order! saving my princess and son is more important!”
your son grumbles, “but I want to hit the rude man!”
“me too, champ, but—“ satoru sweat-drops and glances behind him, “I doubt the angry security guards would like that!”
GETO SUGURU:
your twin girls are one of the sassiest to exist.
in a way, they take after their father who is also pretty sassy but very low-key.
the sass of all three combined is terrible to be the victim of. luckily for you, they don’t dare direct their triple ray towards you, especially—in any argument—at least one will try to win you over.
if it’s suguru trying to stay on your good side, then he is hugging you from behind, pressing feather-like kisses on your shoulder and whispering about how sweet you are. if it’s the girls, then they cling to your legs and keep yelling about how much they love you.
so it is safe to say that you have a small squad to protect you from any potential “danger”.
“oh my, dear shouldn’t you focus on refining yourself a bit more?” you hear a woman say beside you.
you turn towards her, offended, “excuse me?”
“I mean,” her eyes scan you, disapprovingly, “you look average at best, and with that you won’t be able to find yourself a husband, let alone have children.”
you’re still processing her audacity as she continues, “but then again, it’s probably for the better that you don’t have children; you can barely take care of yourself.”
“can I help you?” your husband says as he approaches the woman.
she smiles condescendingly before chuckling, “I was simply telling this lady to take care of herself more; she hardly looks presentable.”
geto’s smiles tenses up as he is about to give the woman a calm peace of his mind, but his daughters beat him to it.
your older twin stands in front of the woman, scanning her with pure disgust in her eyes.
she grimaces and voices out her thoughts, “you are like a crunchy lizard.”
the woman gasps, “how dare you—!”
you cut off the woman, curious about your daughter’s conclusion, “why a crunchy lizard, sweetheart?”
your daughter looks at you with a small frown, shaking her head, “a crunchy lizard is an ugly sad lizard.”
a snort escapes your husband, and you’re barely able to contain your smile.
your other daughter follows up, looking at her twin sister, “the lady looks like that one green thingy we saw yesterday,” she taps her little foot, trying to remember and beams at the woman, “shrek! you look like shrek!”
then they both glare at her, frowning, “you’re a monkey!”
your husband doesn’t let it go as he deals the final—subtle—blow, “come on now girls; we shouldn’t bully the lady with the mcdonald’s like hairline anymore.”
it seems like the woman can’t take it anymore as she starts sobbing and running to the hills.
a moment of silence is shared across the four of you, before you carry both of your girls in your arms and start tickling them, “I don’t know whether to be proud of you or scold you, little evil girls!”
they squeal, trying to escape your hold and calling for their father.
geto chuckles and wraps his arms around the three of you, “let them have it for tonight, y/n,” he ruffles their hair, “they were brave and defended their mom, after all.”
“yeah, papa is right!”
“yes mama, please!”
you pout then smirk at geto, “well I don’t mind, and since papa is also very proud of you girls, he will buy any toy that you guys want today!”
the color drains from your husband’s face, and he watches motionlessly as his girls latch onto him, screaming about the toys they want.
you giggle at his expression and blow him a kiss. he reluctantly blows you one back, while the girls excitedly pull him towards the toy store.
NANAMI KENTO:
you and your husband were blessed with the sweetest girl as your daughter, and she was just recently joined by another sweet girl.
you can never forget the happiness on your daughter’s face when she saw her baby sister.
it also seems that no matter how many times you give birth, your husband can’t help but get emotional when he holds your baby. his hands are forever delicate as he cradles her to his chest.
you remember what he said during the birth of your first daughter.
“I feel like a piece of heaven has been plucked and placed in my arms.”
the way he always goes soft for the three of you is honestly adorable.
today, you were going on an outing with your—now 6 months old—baby and your older daughter who is almost six.
your husband never brags about his muscular form, but he never misses a chance to carry the baby or the baby supplies.
you have offered to at least carry the bag, but he always refuses, stating that ‘you already carried the baby for nine entire months in your belly; this is the least I can do.’
so yeah, sometimes you wish to smooch your husband till forever, but that’s not the point.
you’re walking hand in hand with your daughter as she sings her favorite song. you hear someone click their tongue, so you look to the side and lock eyes with an old lady. she takes the opportunity and approaches you.
“you should be ashamed of yourself!” she yells pointing at you, “your husband shouldn’t be carrying the baby supplies nor the baby itself for the matter,” she scowls, “that’s your job!”
“with all due respect ma’am, but that isn’t her job, and taking care of the baby should be something we are both responsible for.”
“yeah!” your daughter huffs, “and don’t take out your sad life on my mama!”
your eyes widen as you stare at your daughter.
on the other side, your husband is just as speechless. your daughter pays no one any mind as she continues, “mama works hard every day! you wouldn’t know that! you immature nugget!”
nanami frowns lightly, “d/n, that’s not nice—“
and for the cherry on top, your baby daughter throws the bottle cap she was playing with at the old lady, and frowns at her.
she starts babbling some nonsense that you're pretty sure are curse words in baby language.
having had enough, the old lady huffs, “the utter disrespect,” and starts walking away.
the rest of the spectators’ eyes follow her till she is out of sight. finally then, people start minding their own business, and you and your little family are left to the aftermath.
you giggle, “that was funny.”
“really?!” your daughter beams.
nanami cuts her off, “no,” he then looks at you with a small frown, a sigh escaping his lips, “y/n don’t encourage them—“
your baby daughter screams happily when she sees her sister smile. she starts kicking her feet with the biggest smile on her own face.
your older daughter starts laughing with her and tries to make her little sister laugh more—she was successful.
meanwhile, you chuckle, leaning on your husband’s shoulder, “admit it, kento; it was kind of funny.”
his resolve softens at the sound of laughter from all three of his girls, “okay, maybe a little, but—“
“yay!!”

FUSHIGURO TOJI:
your husband and son are so alike, save for the part that your husband is a bit more shameless, and your son is more on the shy side.
however, they both have the same bluntness and the tendency to give anyone who they don’t like attitude.
for example, today, you were walking in the park with the both of them to unwind a bit.
not to mention that megumi wanted to walk his dogs which was a plus, since you would be able to watch your dear son play around with them.
it was all going great until you saw an old ‘friend’ who came running at the sight of you. he was someone who has always been way too touchy and in your personal bubble.
you have tried talking to him about it, but you’re confident that he does it to somehow force you into reciprocating the intimacy.
even if you’re a married woman with a freaking kid.
he giddily clasps your hand, “y/n, ‘been a long time!”
“h-hey,” you smile awkwardly.
he laughs, “I was passing by when I saw your figure, and I couldn’t help but come and say hi.”
you nod, “that’s great, but I am busy, so maybe later?—“
“you’ve gotten even prettier!” he exclaims, “I wish you would finally take me out on a—“
“can’t you see that she is uncomfortable?” your son retorts, “also, you should step back; you shouldn’t touch someone like this without asking them.”
megumi squeezes himself between the both you and glares at the man.
the guy was about to reply to your son, but toji pushes him back with ease, pulling you beside him and hand resting on your waist almost by instinct, “kid is right,” he tilts his head a bit, “ever been taught manners or do I have to do the teaching for you?”
the guy is taken back; offended, he snaps “you can’t speak to me like that!”
“and you can’t hold my mom’s hands like that, but here we are,” your son cleverly sasses him.
on the other hand, your—shameless—husband pulls you into one scandalous kiss and smirks at the guy when he pulls back, “and you can’t hit on a married woman, by the way.”
you hear your son gag in disgust at his dad’s actions, but you’re too busy burying your face in your husband’s chest, hoping that the guy disappears before toji makes even more of a bigger scene.
you also hope that the ground would swallow you, but that’s the alternative option.
the guy clutches his fist, before walking away, spewing insults at the sky—since he is too scared to cuss out your buff husband. once the man is out of sight, toji ruffles megumi’s hair, chuckling, “good job, kid.”
your shy bean’s cheeks redden slightly as he looks away, “…thanks.”
you’re still thinking about what just happened when you slap your husband’s chest, “toji, literally why?” you grumble, patting megumi who started holding onto your leg the moment you hugged toji.
“why not,” your husband shrugs with a small smile, taking pride in your flustered form.
“dad, I want ice cream.”
“no, you just want me to let go your mom, so you can hog her for yourself,” toji grumbles, staring down at megumi.
unfaltering, megumi looks up at him ,“dad, I want ice cream.”
“god damn it, listen here you—“
“divine dogs.”
RYOMEN SUKUNA:
there is no denying that both your son and your husband care for you very much, and they both—very aggressively—compete for your attention.
I am talking he literally throws the kid across the room kind of aggressive, and your son, in turn, throws whatever he has at him.
it’s eventful, but you would be lying if you said that it wasn’t one of the reasons why you will get grey hair earlier than everyone else.
so their very aggressive nature is also shown in their protectiveness over you.
a person doesn’t need to insult or even dare flirt with you for your devil duo to make their life a living hell; your husband and son don’t tolerate someone speaking to you if it causes you to ignore both of them.
for example, this one new servant was clueless to where the broom is, and unluckily for him, he saw you sitting with your husband and son in the gardens. he humbly approached you, “excuse me, m’lady.”
you turn to look at him with a smile, “yes?”
he clears throat, a bit flustered by the attention, “I—I wanted to ask where the—“
“up your ass, you disgusting fiend,” your son sneers followed by his father’s ever-permanent scowl.
“who gave you the permission to come and speak to her so casually?” sukuna presses, and the servant quickly falls to his knees.
“m-my apologies, my lord! I did not mean to disturb you!”
sukuna crosses his arms, “well, you did, and you also disturbed your queen and prince,” his eyes narrow at the servant, “what do you have to say for yourself?”
meanwhile, you’re watching all of that, mouth agape and trying to articulate anything to save the poor guy. you finally find your voice, “sukuna, it’s okay; he didn’t mean—“
your son hugs you tightly and glares at the servant, “to think he would so brazenly speak to you like you’re old friends is terrible, mother.”
you can almost see your son’s cursed energy flaring, and you can spot the small smirk on your husband’s face as he watches his son.
before it escalates any further and you find yet another dead corpse in your palace, you pick up your son, kissing his cheek which makes him flustered and causing him to bury his face in your neck.
you look at the servant, “you’re dismissed, and you can ask the head maid about anything you need, okay?”
“y-yes, m’lady!” he, however, stays glued to the ground, “may I have the permission to lift my head?”
sukuna grunts, “sure.”
“thank you, m’lord,” the servant says, before scurrying towards the gate, having secured his freedom after his little mistake.
or at least, that’s what he thought.
your husband slices his legs off with a flick of a finger, and your son, who has inherited his father’s technique, slices the head off.
and so the body falls to the ground, and the other servants hurriedly start cleaning up the mess.
you frown at your husband, “sukuna! he apologized!”
he rolls his eyes, and pulls you by the waist, “do I look like I care? he shouldn’t have interrupted our time together.”
“aww, you’re jealous!”
“no, I am not—“
“hands off, old man!”

i want to expand on this post just cause i can.
so much of gus and jesse’s relationship is played as an affair. this is only because it makes walt’s anger about their dynamic feel more jilted, like a lover. when he confronts jesse about the two of them having dinner he uses language an excusatory husband would use if he caught his spouse cheating such as “tell me you weren’t as his house last night?” it’s very clearly written as jesse being disloyal to walt and their partnership. now the audience knows that’s just simply not true with jesse literally saying “if you kill mr. white, you’re going to have to kill me too” when he thinks gus is suggesting killing him. he’s devoted to mr. white throughly. even when he’s being shoved into these new situations by mike and gus, there’s never a moment where he thinks about abandoning him. he’s still in the back of his mind through everything, and every character knows this except for walt. that’s what makes most of the build-up leading to gus’s death so ironic. to walt, gus is the other woman who needs to be killed for fraternizing with what’s “his”. in reality, it’s his own brutality and sadistic behavior that is putting a wedge between him and jesse.
it’s very reminiscent of walt finding out about skyler’s affair with ted. he lashes out and throws a tantrum but he never stops for a second and asks why it happened. he never comes to the conclusion that his actions are what’s driving skyler into another’s arms. he plots to get revenge on ted, but it’s never more serious than toxic masculine how-dare-you-sleep-with-my-wife bullshit. he wants to kill him, i don’t doubt that, but he can’t. how can he? killing, torturing, and all that depravity belongs in the “heisenberg” part of his life. he cannot touch ted because he is as mundane as the life he is fronting.
now, i will admit, the skyler affair storyline and jesse’s so-called adultery are really not that similar at all. like i said, jesse is not betraying anyone--he is still fiercely dedicated to mr. white. his unfaithfulness is only interpreted as much by walt himself, and it’s walt’s delusions drive him away in the first place. skyler cheats as a means of revenge, as a way to take back some autonomy that walt had stripped her of. however, it’s the way that walt handles these individual perfidies that’s so captivating to me. when deciding what to do with gus, he immediately decides he needs to kill him. this was his plan prior, but now it’s more dire. jesse is gone. he needs to kill two birds with one stone: win back jesse and kill gus. more importantly, he needs to show jesse that him killing gus was something he did for the both of them. so thus he embarks on this convoluted, deplorable, fucked-up scheme. and hey! it works. he successfully manipulates jesse once again, implanting in his brain that no one will have your best interests at heart but me. “gus had to go” and jesse has to agree because this pseudo-son is dying and mr. white is right there and he saved him right? he saved brock and he saved jesse and it doesn’t matter that their love has a body count. their reunion is so impactful because they’re like magnets in a way. the connection they share is so strong that it doesn’t matter how hard they fight or run away, they will cling to each other once more. but what’s devastating this time around is that jesse doesn’t have a leg to stand on with mr. white anymore. he almost fucking killed him and it turns out the “real” mastermind was gus all along. so he offers his submission as an apology, when mr. white holds out his hand he takes it because this is how he can say he’s sorry. and walt? how could he not fall in love all over again. he has jesse, freshly martyred and in his arms once again.

At least once a week, You, Nobara, and Yuuji meet up in your bedroom when everyone else in the manor is asleep. Yuuji likes to call these get-togethers the 'Anti-Zenin club meetings.' As expected, the main topic talked about during these 'club meetings' is either new information on the Zenin family or how your trials went. In some messed up way- scheming against a whole family late at night reminds you of the sleepovers you used to share with your friends when you were younger.
"I smell new jewelry. Is this from 'lover boy?' It's not so bad to look at" Nobara teased, her finger grazing the pendant on your necklace given by Megumi.
"He gave it to me on his birthday, it use to belong to his mom" you explained.
"So he gave you his late mother's necklace?" Nobara questioned, her glance bouncing off of you to Yuuji, giving him the most devious smile. "Looks like someone has a crush on Y/n, Kugisaki" Yuuji teased, covering his mischievous smile with his palm. "Careful Y/n, he might actually mean 'I do' at the wedding" Nobara added.
"Shut up- both of you" you huffed, cheeks burning with embarrassment, throwing a pillow at Nobara- only for her to catch it with the same delinquent smile.
"But he did tell you it was possible for him to love you- romantically, right?" Yuuji questioned, his tone more serious than it was five minutes ago. "Yeah but he was weird about it- he said something about 'not knowing how to love someone the right way.' Whatever that means" you explained.
Yuuji took a moment to think of his words, debating in his mind if this were the right moment. "Maybe there is another way for these trials to stop" Yuuji uttered, his voice with a hint of embarrassment.
"Which is?" you asked, somewhat annoyed.
"Well...No one wants to hurt someone they're in love with right?" Yuuji confessed, his eyes glued to a wall, too nervous to look at your reaction.
"Excuse me- You're kidding- tell me you're kidding. Nobara, please tell Yuuji that he's crazy for thinking that I seduce the son of the Zenin family- so he may or may not  spare me from tests, that I have been passing" you argued. To your disappointment, Nobara remained silence. "Don't tell me you agree-" you laughed in disbelief.
"You've only finished two out of ten tests, Y/n. I mean- what if you're biting off more than your chew?" Nobara explained. "What if he makes them even harder?" you argued.
"Why would he do that if he was in love with you" Nobara countered, slightly raising her voice.
"I know- I'm just worried. During my last trial- he was very adamant that I wouldn't want to be loved by him for some reason  " you sighed, in defeat.
"Think about it this way, Y/n" Yuuji spoke up, walking over to you, sitting next to you on your bed, thighs almost touching.
"Wouldn't revenge on the Zenin family hurt Megumi even more if he came from the women he loved?" Yuuji suggested, his tone lingering in your ear. With that simple realization, all the fears inside your head formed into one solo thought,
You must find a way to make Megumi Fushiguro to fall in love with you.
---
It's been at least a week since you had a trial- or even seen Megumi. While you're grateful that you're not having to go through deadly tests, you're getting worried about whether he's scheming.
You feel much safer when you know what he's doing- rather than him being stuck in his room. You have no idea what's going on in his mind this past week... Well, it's not like you ever had a clue what goes on in his brain.
According to the servant's gossip, he's been coup up in his room, not allowing anyone to enter, daring to raise his voice if a servant even dares to step foot into his room to ask if he'd like tea. So this week has just been servants leaving his breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a spotless silver platter in front of his door.
You asked Maki if she had a clue on what was going on behind his doors.
"When Megumi likes this it's best to let him be. Besides, if it was really important he was smart enough to let me know" Maki sighed, crossing her arms.
You really tried to leave him alone, waiting for his phase to pass. But you're losing sleep at night, dreading if he's planning some sick trial.
It was the middle of the night, you were lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, hands clutching your blanket, your body exhausted but your mind refusing to sleep.
God- it's time to put an end to this madness.
You got up, not bothering to change out of your nightgown as you made your way to Megumi's bed chambers. You paused in front of his door, there was no way in hell he wasn't going to be upset with you.
But do you care? Eh- he's done worse.
Not bothering to knock, you slowly opened the door, a lingering creek sound from it, making you cringe. There you saw Megumi, instantly sitting up from his bed due to the noise, chest heaving, body sweaty, cheeks red, hair damp, the damp towel falling off his forehead.
"Oh- it's you" Megumi panted, his voice hoarse, falling back down on his bed.
"Get out" he mumbled, waving you off. "I'm only here to check up on you- I haven't seen you for a week. Are you unwell...I mean- you look ill" you questioned.
"I'm fine. Go back to bed, it's late" Megumi uttered before erupting into a coughing fit, causing you to rush towards him.
"You're not fine. You're burning up" you argued, laying the back of your hand on his forehead, only for him to swat away like an annoyed cat.
"It's nothing I can't handle, Y/n. Go back to your room" Megumi sighed. "What did you tell me before your birthday dinner... Oh right, 'I'm your fiancé. You can't hide these types of things from me.' So let me help you" you quoted, using Megumi's words against him, his eyes narrowing in annoyance.
"It would be a pain if you'd get sick as well, especially if it were my fault" Megumi mumbled, slightly embarrassed as he pulled his comforter tighter around him.
"Well, unlike you- I don't mind people helping me if I get sick, so I'll be fine" you replied.
"Now stay here, I'll make you some tea" you advised.
"It's not like I could got anywhere else to go" Megumi grumbled.
---
You helped Megumi sit up, carefully placing the white floral tea cup into his hands and then stepping away.
"ᵀʰᵃⁿᵏ ʸᵒᵘ" he mumbled.
"What was that?" you teased
"Thank you, Y/n" Megumi huffed, blowing air to cool his tea. "Oh, it's nothing. I couldn't just let a person who's sick take care of themselves" you explained.
Yeah- but you also  can't exactly pass a opportunity like this...not when you're desperately trying to get on his good side so you can get a 'get out of jail' card for that fucked up family tradition.
"I'm usually very capable of taking care of myself when I'm unwell. I guess this time is different because of I've been more stressed lately" Megumi confessed, reveling in the warmth of the cup filled with hot tea.
"You're capable of nursing yourself back to health? Is that because Zenins are 'oh so strong and powerful?" you teased. "I have experience, my sister- Tsumiki. She was often sick during most of our childhood" Megumi answered, tone strangely monotone for a person who confessed to having a sickly sister-acting as if it was normal situation to be in.
"I didn't know you had a sister like that" you commented, voice traced with pity. Megumi looked over at you, a subtle smile on his lips, "She's not dead, Y/n. She's not my biological sister either. She just came with the package when my dad decided to marry her mom. After they split, I don't really see her much. I heard from my old man that she's staying at an institution where they can monitor her health" Megumi explained.
"Sorry- you just made her sound...well dead" you replied.
Before Megumi could utter a word, a yawn released from your mouth, the lack of sleep from your anxieties finally catching up with you. "You're tired" he commented. "Yeah- I've been having some trouble sleeping lately. I should get back to bed now" you replied, getting up to walk towards the door.
"Don't," Megumi muttered, leaning over, holding your forearm, stopping you in your tracks.
"Is something wrong?" you asked, slight anxiety lingering in your voice,
"It's my fault you haven't been getting sleep. I should have personally assigned you a quieter room in the castle- "
"What are you trying to say here?" you questioned.
"You're not getting sleep because it's easier to hear the forest noises in your bedroom. Why else would you not be getting sleep? "Megumi explained, narrowing his eyes in confusion.  You hesitated before replying to Megumi...because you can't exactly say
'Oh no- you're wrong. I haven't gotten any sleep because I thought you were planning this crazy death trap that would be probably hurt me in ways more painful than death. But yeah I guess I could hear an occasional wolf howl every other night.'
Because if you said that any sentimental in this conversation- even if it was little - would probably be destroyed. So instead, you said "I have- but it's no big deal. I'm getting use to it."
"If you can't sleep in your room, I rather you sleep in mine."
And with those simple words, your face boiled in embarrassment, mind being filled with every dirty thought imaginable. Megumi's face turned a sudden red as he took in realization on what his words have done to do.
"I'm not planning to have sex with you- Y/n. D-do you really think so low of me?" Megumi huffed, adverting his eyes from yours.
"Beside the Zenin family highly against sex before marriage. I get enough shit for being a bastard child" Megumi added, somewhat easing your concerns.  "Swear " you uttered.
"Swear what?" Megumi questioned.
"Swear you're not going to touch me" you added, embarrassed at your own words.  "Would you prefer if my hands were tied up while you sleep?" Megumi replied, sarcastically.
He turned to his side, "I swear, I will not lay a finger on you" he mumbled. You hesitated before turning off the gas lamp at his night table, slowly easing onto his bed, his back facing you. You didn't dare to fall asleep before he did, so you stay awake till you knew it were impossible for him to still be awake as well.
You heart almost stopped as you watched him turn in his sleep, his closed eyes scrunched as he shifted to face towards you.
Shamefully there was one thought that appeared in your head,
You could kill him right now by getting on top of him, wrapping your hands around his pretty throat and not go through the trials anymore. You could wake up Nobara and Yuuji and just run away-
But you're not a killer, Y/n. So you closed your eyes, and Megumi was right- his room was much quieter than your room, only taking a few minutes for your body to ease into a deep sleep.
You woke up, a strange warmness on your body, you tilted your head and there was Megumi, his chin resting on the top of your head, legs tangled with yours, arm laying around your waist, peacefully sleeping. Your mind instantly went into a internal panic,
God if Nobara or Yuuji was here they'd never let you live this down.
You slowly pulled yourself away from Megumi, thankful that he didn't wake up, only grumbling in his sleep.  You tiptoed out of his room, carefully opening the door and slipping out.
You walked down the hall, trying to get back into your room to change out of your nightgown, only to be interrupted by a sudden force bumping into you, causing you to fall on your bottom. You looked up to see the culprit of your fall, a slightly messy dark hair, sleepy eyed boy in the same knight uniform as Yuuji.
"I am so sorry, are you okay?" the man asked, lending you his hand to help you stand up. You dusted your nightgown, "I'm alright" you replied.
The man took a good look at you, noticing the expensive material of your nightgown, "Yo-you're princess Y/n, right?" he asked, his voice stuttering as he realized the value of his mistake.
"That's correct" you laughed, amused by his behavior. "I-I'm so sorry, your majesty. I didn't mean to bump into you- you see I'm actually a new knight and I haven't exactly learned my way around the castle. So I got distracted and I wasn't looking-" The knight rambled on.
"It's okay, you're forgiven- uh... I'm sorry I don't know your name" you replied, slightly embarrassed at your realization. "Oh- it's Yuta."

I very much like my headcanons of all the villain-turned-dream-friends still being very flawed people one way or another.
I'd say that they could all be considered morally grey to various degrees. Some may be nicer than others, but overall I wouldn't really call any of them saints. None of them are irredeemably evil, and Kirby is friends with every single one of them, but they're all still flawed. And Kirby is basically their 'parole officer' as he keeps them all in check.
This post got quite long as I wrote everything I wanted, so I'm gonna post a 'Keep reading tag' down below.
Feel free to click on it if you'd like to see my interpretations on the flaws of some Kirby characters! I'll be covering Marx, Dark Meta Knight, Daroach, Magolor, Taranza, Susie and the mage sisters here.
Marx may be on Kirby's good side now as he's not looking to attempt conquest on Popstar again, but he's still essentially an agent of chaos. He's loud, he's obnoxious, he's widely known to be a prankster, and he loves getting a rise out of people. He enjoys causing scenes purely for the sake of it. And his sense of humor isn't exactly good at having tact, as he'll make jokes out of things that most others wouldn't dare do. He can be considered the most insufferable one out of the bunch.
But there are good qualities to him, too. Some people legitimately think he's the funniest guy alive, so there's that. Marx loves attention in general, regardless if it's bad or good attention, and so he gets delighted if someone likes him and enjoys his antics. He loves it when people decide to join him on mischief. If you're his friend, he'll often give you stuff to laugh about and you're likely to find yourself having fun with him. If he likes you enough, he'll even stand up for you if someone else antagonizes you. His friends are literally his homies.
He's still quite the wild creature, though. It requires a lot of patience and a lax/chill attitude to be able to put up with Marx. It's not uncommon for him to find ways to instigate chaos in Star Allies gatherings. But he CAN be forced to behave, albeit not always easily. Kirby and Magolor are the ones that can most easily get him to listen.
Dark Meta Knight is still a standoffish jerk with a temperament. He's rude, brutal, and isn't at all afraid to say things that might run shivers down people's spines. He's prone to violence if he feels even the least bit agitated. He's also a rather detached person that does not care to make friends with most of the other star allies, and is quite a big hater for the ones that get on his nerves. He has a bad habit of being too blunt about wishing death or general ill-will for people he hates.
Not just that, but I headcanon that Dark Mind is technically still alive as a neutralized little fragment that desperately needs assistance. DMK hasn't given up trying to bring DM back to its former glory, and is still devoted enough to do what DM asks of him to do. It's not actually as frightening as it sounds, though. Trying to bring DM back to its former glory may be impossible due to how much it'd take, so that threat may not warrant much concern, but DMK still strives for it.
But DMK can be kept in check at times by a few others in the cast. I headcanon that DMK is friends with Daroach, Adeleine, Ribbon and Kirby, and he does care about what they think of him. But I hc those are the only friends he has in the cast, as he's the dream friend with the least amount of friends. He doesn't care about anyone else. He's also willing to do art stuff with Adeleine, and will protect his friends from danger. But overall, DMK is still a ruthless son-of-a-gun.
Daroach has a notably kind-hearted side to him, but he's also absolutely still a thief. Some people are ticked off by his persistent thievery. He likes the challenge of breaking into certain areas and to see what's he capable of successfully stealing. This can get especially irritating for some if he's brought the entire squeak squad with him for these instances. Daroach also has a trollish/smug side to him, as he thinks it's funny to get reactions out of people as he steals from them.
He does have standards, though. There are people that Daroach will NOT steal from. This includes Kirby, Adeleine, the entirety of Ripple Star (he'd feel bad to rob from that planet) and he also respects Meta Knight enough to never steal anything from the Halberd. He's also a softy around Kirby. And there's times in the day where Daroach decides to be chill and not steal anything. He can be quite a laidback bro if he's your friend. He has a big sense of humor and if you don't mind him pulling lighthearted fast ones on you, he'll gladly do that.
But he's still our resident thief! Hahaha. And he often has a rather shady demeanor that might make some people put their guards up.
Magolor did make a well known apology and created an amusement park to back it up, but I headcanon he's still very much a flawed person. Much like his buddy Marx, Magolor is a mischievous prankster that likes getting a rise out of people at times, although he's much more tactful than the jester in this regard. There's other problems with Magolor, like how he often says awkward things that make it evident he doesn't have the best understanding of social cues. He also has a tendency to insert himself into things, due to still having a bit of an ego, and he can sometimes be a blatantly obvious suck-up.
It's also arguably somewhat flawed morality-wise on Magolor's behalf to have made all the masks he did for Merry Magoland. He had great intentions with that, as he wanted to honor many people with that, but he made a lot of them without permission. And it ended up being pretty awkward for some people to see the masks. Thankfully, it didn't elicit any reactions bad enough for Magolor to lose any friends, but he arguably should've gotten many people's permission first.
Magolor is still buds with Kirby despite his current flaws, though. And he actually cares about being liked and cares about making people have fun, and so he makes sure that he has standards accordingly for that. He also just has very weird ways of going on about trying to be a better person than what he was before. But regardless, he's trying!
Taranza may be mourning the death of his beloved queen, but as a matter of fact I do not headcanon him to be a complete softboy! Once enough time passed for him to start properly recovering from his loss, he's eventually started coming back to being a snobby rich-theater kid type of guy like he was before. He can be very bizarrely smug and confident at times. He has an iconic devious smile. He makes webs at people's homes with often trollish messages. Don't be surprised if he sneakily rearranges the stuff in your home without you looking.
And believe it or not, he also has a secretly vengeful and vindictive side to him. He'd love to torment and beat up everyone that picks on him. And because it was a dimensional mirror that corrupted his queen, he heavily resents the mirror world and talks smack about its inhabitants. Honestly if he saw a dimensional mirror again he'd love to break it and smash it to pieces. He also legit wants DMK to die.
But overall, Taranza is no serious bad guy anymore. He does have a definite nice and caring side to him. He's really grateful to all of his friends that have helped him out with his grief (especially Susie, who understands him better than anyone else does) and he'd panic like frick when one of his friends gets hurt. He doesn't want to lose any of his current friends, the last thing he needs is MORE things to grieve over. He's also glad to show people about flora. He's also still just a silly-ass rich theater guy that can be quite a big, dramatic handful.
Susie, while no longer the terrifying colonizer she once was, is still very much a corporate-minded woman with a lot of unhinged stuff going on with her. The HWC's practices are substantially improved in her rule compared to what it was in her dad's rule, but she still makes corny business decisions at times. She has a notable stubborn streak, and is often a bit too blunt and formal to people she isn't close enough to be friends with. She's also feisty and a bit too ruthless when it comes to combat, as it may require others to calm her down. And like Magolor, she gets awkward at times with her low understanding of social cues.
She's also still a mad-scientist at heart, although she's mostly stopped mechanizing people (except for those that explicitly WANT it) and has largely shifted to applying her mad-scientist desires on inanimate objects such as toys and accessories. I headcanon that Susie has an entire hobby of making super-detailed custom furbies as I wrote a post about it. But despite the improved shift, she often gets way ahead of herself when experimenting on inanimate objects to the point that the final result of her creations are pretty darn freaky and unnerving to some people. She really loves doing it, though! And the unhinged level of detail to her creations can be hilarious to some.
Susie does have friends that she cares about, and she lets them reign her in as she doesn't want to disappoint them. And despite usually being rather cold, she's not entirely without her kind moments. Susie is at her nicest when interacting with Taranza and Kirby, and she has other friends like Magolor and the mage sisters that she can be great with. Her friends are the one thing that help motivate her to get better. But despite that, Susie is still absolutely a big handful in terms of flaws. She's still a vindictive, standoffish, corporate mad-scientist that's ballsy enough to constantly snap back during confrontations!
The Mage Sisters are still chaotic menaces. They're exceptionally grateful to Kirby and co. for saving them and Hyness in HiAD, and so they definitely ain't doing that Void Termina crap again, but these women still engage in absurdly violent and bombastic activities. They love to destroy random buildings for no real reason other than just for kicks and giggles. They cackle like hyenas when they cause mischief.
Francisca is perhaps the most obviously flawed mage sister, as she literally keeps her frozen trophy collection and even tries to expand it! That's a bruh moment. It doesn't exactly help that she's close buddies with Marx as those two will just make some absolutely absurd hijinks together. Her relatively quiet nature can also be rather unnerving. It's not all bad, though, as she can be genuinely sweet to people that she cares about. And she's kind enough to give you free water with her soda gun if you'd like that, but overall she's an extraordinary freak.
Flamberge is the nicest of the three mage sisters, but she still has her fair share of chaos as she loves causing big booms with her fire abilities. She can be considered a daredevil with that sort of thing. Another notable flaw with her is that she lets Francisca get away with anything. She will NEVER hold her psychotic blue sister accountable. And there's of course her temperament, but she's surprisingly chill a lot of the time and is really only angry if given an actual reason to be.
Zan Partizanne can be quite rude with excessive name-calling, as she has a mentality of "it goes both ways" when her name can't be said right. If you can't say her name right, then she'll make it even by giving you some unhinged nickname. She also has a guilty pleasure of starting playful bickering matches with people purely for fun. That being said, she's something of a leader alongside Hyness at the Jambandran base and is always glad to help guide people around the place, but she can overall be quite a standoffish and feisty person.
The mage sisters do care about trying to be better, though. They want to make Kirby proud as he's essentially their little hero. They're still incredibly unhinged people by virtue of being raised in a literal cult, though, and they still love to start ruckuses and cause chaos. With the amount of mischief they cause with their weapons, it may be wise to keep some distance as to not get caught in their weapons' range.
-----
That's basically everything I got. All these characters are still very flawed people to me. They're all redeemable to various extents, but yeah. I like to think that they all need occasional slaps on the wrists by Kirby. He's their 'parole officer' like I said at the beginning of the post. He keeps them in check. And it works as they all respect him!
But despite sometimes slapping them on the wrists, Kirby does care about all these people. He's friends with all of them. He cheers them on as they progress in life. When they do good things, he's proud of them! He also can't help but feel sorry for the more traumatized ones.
Kirby has remarkable tolerance. He can basically be friends with bad people, lol. He always has faith and sees the good in people. He's the perfect little guy to motivate people to get better. He can keep someone in check from doing bad things, and is merciful enough to always give them a second chance. Man, thank this universe for Kirby!
Thanks for reading if you did. See you for the next one.

I broke my silence. Nah, I need someone to talk to me about JonJay, since they are still underrated by the fandom. Like, they started being hated out of nowhere. That nonsense about Damian hating Jay, about what if Jon showed Jay Damian, he would immediately reject it. Demi is literally a fan of Jay and his blog, he literally contributed to Jay and Jon getting together at the 2022 Pride, Jay calls Damian by name and basically sees him without a mask in his real guise, which suggests that he trusts him just enough to show his real personality. He praises him, well, to many of his friends and even relatives (Grayson). This is complete nonsense that the fandom made up is killing me. People also say that Jay is not registered. What? Like, yes, I would also like to know more about him, but this does not mean that he does not have a personality. The entire plot of the comic revolves around him and his story, how in this case can he not have his own character and personality?( like, we literally see that he is a very brave and smart young man who knows how to make difficult decisions. He is also quite daring, he won’t go into his pocket for words, he can express everything he thinks. Jay is very smart and cunning, he knows how to achieve his own and will stand by his interests to the last.) It really scares me how people either don’t want to understand his character. I also saw someone talking about how Jon might cheat on Jay and Nya because the author of her comic released a post about the SuperDreamer (that's what the ship is called). What? In terms of, this bro refused to kiss his boyfriend on the another universe simply because it's not his Jay and people seriously believe that Jon will cheat with another person when he's literally loyal to only one and we're literally shown that, well, he's incapable of cheating on Jay because so much loves him. This is so stupid. Yes, after all, in one of the comics Jon calls a day with Jay “Mental Health Day.” I don’t understand what’s wrong with people. And it seems to me that no matter what happens, Jay will always remain Jon’s main and important love interest. My beloved boys deserve more attention and love from the fandom. I hope that someday they will grow to realize that they are perfect for each other and only at this moment will I find peace
Anon, Anon you are so correct and I love you and I have been sitting with this frustration since 2021 and I am tired.
Tumblr media
I know exactly why people don't give Jay a chance:
Xenophobia
Racism
Biases against actual queer people
It gets in the way of the fanon ship; Damian x Jon
A good 99% of the hate I see comes from Damian and Jon shippers who were, for some reason under the impression that Jon being bisexual means he will date Damian....who is not only 3 years younger than him but also just barely out of middle school while Jon is in college.
Most people are still also attached to Super Sons comics, and have yet to come to terms with the fact that Jon is aged up, he is not getting aged down, and Super Sons as it once was is not coming back. So they don't bother reading SOKE or AOSJK or any Jon appearance that occurs where it's JUST Jon (because if you've noticed, the jon kent tag is all damian because they see Jon as Damian's accessory and love interest and not an independent character).
Super Sons mischaracterized both Damian and Jon egregiously while being racist and sexist towards Talia (one very easy example; Damian hates going to school because he's far surpassed that academic level & really only needs school for socialization. Why would Damian who was older than Jon before, willingly go to a grade 3 times below his own where Jon lives, where he needs to get to by helicopter??). Reading that alone means people don't understand Jon, Damian, or Talia(or anyone really).
So when they learn that Damian actually LIKES Jay, that he liked Jay first and enough to introduce him to Dick and potentially a bunch of other batfam characters, they just can't stand it. How dare Damian get in the way of fans shipping him with his best friend(who is 17/18)??? Wdym Damian is happily dating a girl named Nika aka Flatline! Now let's be sexist to the 14 year old girl and call her evil manipulative bitch!!!
Why on Earth would Jon like Jay??? He's not Damian!
And that's another thing; Jay is not Damian and that is all these haters need to destroy Jay and dismiss him. This isn't about character arcs, or canon, or storytelling. It's about being mad that fanon isn't real.
I used to try to get them to at least give SOKE a chance. I wanted to be polite and have a proper discussion but things got overtly racist. I've had people tell me that Jay is seducing Jon, he is evil, he is a criminal who has no morals, he isn't "Asian enough". Me and a bunch of twitter mutuals experienced actual racism, towards ourselves, when talking to these people. I had to delete my account because it was affecting my mental health and I couldn't take it. We also experienced lots of biphobic and homophobic takes (especially about the pink hair which was very fun for a bisexual Asian with pink hair at the time). About how Jay is some "kpop knock off" or "creep" because he and Jon shared a fully consensual kiss. Like yes Karen explain to me how the immigrant Asian kid who just wants to save his country from a colonizer is evil because he kissed a white boy. Do tell me about how he's "mind controlling" Jon to love him. We didn't even have those words thrown around when Saturn Girl legit mind-controlled Jon. But of course! It's because she's white and no one actually read that Legion run. It can pass for heterosexual so who cares!
And the cheating thing grinds my gears it actually makes me want to go scream.
SURE! Let's have the bisexual character cheat! You know let's just forget about how bi people are already stereotyped as sluts and cheaters. Or that Jon's Superman and he straight up said "I'm not going to cheat on Jay."
I think Nicole Maines isn't going to touch JayJon, her run with Dreamer ends around the same time as or before Pride Month and we are getting a pride month jayjon story(unconfirmed yet officially but a cover artist is hinting that's the case). If she does though, if this story is signed-off and it happens through cheating I'm just gonna have to stop reading DC.
I think cheating plots are idiotic, especially with Superfam. Their whole thing is "truth justice better tomorrow." They strive to do good and be kind and honest. Wtf am I taking away if you so severely hurt a person you claim to love? I think they are a lazy and a cheap way to generate bad drama.
If you want drama and for SuperDreamer to happen, at least make JayJon have a proper break up. Making Jon cheat would assassinate his character and Dreamer's because NIA KNOWS JAY. In the story Nia's appearing, she's being sent in to attack Jay's country. It's not even a character flaw atp it's just you two are being hypocritical and choosing to hurt a friend who's done nothing but be kind(lest we forget, Jay was cleaning up Jon's reputation and lost his secret identity FOR JON. He's the one who stayed calm while Jon was about to fight when Nia first showed up).
If Nia is chill with Superman cheating with her on Jay and is simultaneously attacking his country(though it is under Waller's pressure), I will simply leave. What's the point? It's not like POC characters in Superfam get enough respect anyways, especially the Asian ones (I see you Kong Kenan, I SEE YOU). The Steels are fortunately getting more time but that happened after decades and decades (and I've still got no news on Nat and Traci 13 DC GET IT TOGETHER, Nat still doesn't get enough focus imo). I sound really mean towards Dreamer rn but I actually really enjoy the Jon and Nia friendship. I just fucking hate cheaters though, those kind of plots are always exhausting and ill-thought out and the characters become garbage. Because like, you're a superhero, a symbol of goodness and striving to do better. Cheating is actively taking a decision to hurt a person in a deeply personal way. Why would I believe a single thing you say about "truth" when you can't even give that to someone close to you?
I think we should just let the haters stew on their nonsense and find people who create a positive fandom space. My block list for blogs and tags is a mile long. If they can't see how well-written and balanced Jon and Jay are for each other, that's a loss for them and they may....continue to seethe or whatever it is they do.
If you aren't on the supertruth discord server yet or know of it, I'd highly recommend joining!! It's very fun
This was a mess of a response and I let my emotions get too far away from me I am so sorry. I really understand you Anon <3<3 Hugs and comfort from me!!

Hot Take: Alicent’s characterization from Episode 8+9 should have been her characterization during episodes 6+7 (up until the eye incident), where she was still trying to make some sort of peace while also trying to protect her kids.
Her characterization in episodes 6+7 should have been her final characterization. Scheming and working more actively against Rhaenyra and undermining her. Calling her out during small council meetings and giving her the stink eye and more actively making her kids aware of the danger (with them getting her concerns since it would be after Aemond lost his eye).
It just feels like they went backward instead of forward. That last bit isn’t a hot take. But still.
i don't feel like this is a hot take because it's... very real
i'm sorry but no amount of arguments will ever make me not believe that episode 8 alicent was a mess, writing wise
i mean think about it: alicent is groomed by her father and rhaenyra's father, rhaenyra's father decides he wants to marry her, rhaenyra is upset with her and stops talking to her for 3 years. at this point alicent is still trying to reach out. she's been through the hell that must have been the beginning of her marriage alone, she gave birth alone, she underlines herself that she doesn't have many friends (which is weird, and another decisionTM by the writers), rhaenyra never tries to call out her father for picking her best friend and is likely more upset with alicent even though she is aware alicent's position is a unpleasant one ("it bothers you does it not?" "laena is your daughter princess, does it bother you?" "of course it does")
so if anyone is blaming a woman for the deeds of a man first, it's rhaenyra. at no point after that even during their good times does she try to help alicent. to me it's always been a friendship where alicent gives and rhaenyra receives. it's alicent who always thinks of her and wants to go back.
and then of course comes the lie that makes her look like a fool and she loses the only family member she had at court with her. even when that man wasn't having her own mental health as his priority, she still depended on him as being the only one in her corner, even if it was for his own benefit. she's all alone, for a long time. she grows bitter, and rightfully so. i think for me the point of no return would have long before that but i digress.
by this time it's obvious rhaenyra's children as bastards, harwin makes it a done deal too, and after years and after all of that rhaenyra thinks of making an offer: marry your only daughter to my son who is obviously a bastard. she refuses, everyone is like omg "don't you see how hard rhaenyra tries?" eyeroll etc etc
then episode 7 happens with aemond and well, that should be a done deal for anyone right? it would be for me. i think i'd rather chew glass than think of rhaenyra as a friend at that point. emma was right, alicent is gaslighted and dare i add humiliated in front of an entire room of people. her son loses his eye, rhaenyra asks for even more of him, viserys couldn't care less and in the end it is still alicent and her sons that get threatened by viserys.
by that point i would be planning big, violent things
it is unrealistic to me that alicent still holds and treats rhaenyra with kidness in episode 8, that she has kind words for her, that she does so without being given an apology for aemond, especially after daemon and vaemond. imo it is unrealistic. she should have been scheming the biggest scheme.
this isn't a woman turned into an evil caricature, this is a normal reaction to living in a hostile environment with a hostile family that does not regard you or your children with love or respect.
unfortunately alicent is being largely written in a way to tell rhaenyra's story so she has to have such deep love for her that is bigger than for anyone else because the writers need to show how special rhaenyra is and how much they love her through alicent. as a character, she's forever tied at the ankle to rhaenyra and the narrative is largely written to punish alicent for not choosing rhaenyra. this is also tied to jaehaera having to die and the "sins of our father" trope.
no matter how we like the green characters and their potential, the writers largerly care more about team black characters and have striped alicent of much of her ambition.
it is silly to write alicent as a character that only finds out in episode 9 that "the council" was planning to instill her son as king. it is silly to write alicent as choosing to crown her son and by extension declare war literally.... overnight. it is silly further for her to do it or push the idea that just before he died, viserys whispered of aegon ii.
of course that is the story we're given, but it is ultimately not a great story for alicent hightower and they could have done so much better, but they were mainly focused on writing daemon and rhaenyra and that's about it.
but yeah, i totally agree. anything positive from alicent past episode 7, especially in the manner in which she acted during the dinner in episode 8, is unrealistic imo.

Something that SEEERIOUSLY isn’t talked about enough among Rodrigue fans is how Rodrigue (almost? or generally) always refers to Dimitri as “Your/His Highness” except in the moment that Dimitri’s life was at risk right in front of Rodrigue and Rodrigue shielded him with his own body.
Rodrigue is always respectful and aware of their stations, but none of that matters when Dimitri is almost killed. Rodrigue reacts emotionally without station in mind, forgetting to refer to him in an “appropriate” manner and reacting instead in a more intimate manner (i.e. using a person’s name instead of their title).
Most people wouldn’t dare to refer to their prince by their first name, but Rodrigue forgets all that the moment Dimtiri is in danger. He follows up that familial intimacy by calling Dimitri “my boy”. In a way it’s like Rodrigue's formalities are just forced expectations that are ingrained into him, because his actual instinct is to refer to Dimitri in a familial way. If he doesn’t have time to think about what he’s saying, it will be Dimitri’s name that he uses because that’s how he truly thinks of Dimitri.
He doesn’t solely view Dimitri as his prince. He views Dimitri as family, and in a setting where royalty exists, it’s so important to the relationship in question when that societal expectation is broken, simply because it tells you exactly what that character thinks of their royalty.
When royalty’s life is in danger, it would even make sense for people to hesitate because if they do anything, they might also be in danger and generally humans instinctually prioritize their own life (even if they do really want to step in to help). That typically is not the case with humans regarding loved ones, where that instinct instead changes to an instinct where they automatically step in to protect people dear to them - especially parents to their children. Parents - not just in humans but in most forms of life (cats, dogs, etc) - are extremely protective of their children and react without a second - even a first - thought, because it’s not a thought at all when they see their children in danger. It’s a base reaction.
Rodrigue wasn’t witnessing his prince being attacked. He was witnessing his son being attacked, and he reacted as a father would - not as a knight, a vassal or anyone under Dimitri’s station and how they would be expected to react to protect him. Dimitri didn’t have to be his blood son for him to react the same way a blood parent would. Dimitri wasn’t born to him but he was Rodrigue’s son all the same and he couldn’t accept his boy being harmed.
I love that his reaction is exactly the same as what Lambert would have done. I love that in that one moment when he didn’t have time to think about his word choice, such important stations meant absolutely nothing to him. I love that what was important to him was Dimitri the person, and not Dimitri the prince. I love that at the very end, he died knowing his boy was safe and alive. I love that, when he starts reusing “Your Highness”, it’s only after the immediate danger has passed and he has time to actually process his word choice again, because it really drives home how quickly and thoughtlessly he reacted to seeing Dimitri in danger when he dropped formalities to use his first name.
He also didn’t tell him to live for the people or live because he was a prince. He wanted Dimitri to remember to live for himself and likely died with the hope that those being his last words would be taken much more heavily and sincerely, and give Dimitri a lot to think about in regard to caring for himself as a person and not just seeing himself as a prince/future king, because Rodrigue also saw him as a person.
Not only did Rodrigue protect his son (which mind you must have been extremely important to him after already losing a son. Can you imagine how devastated he would be to lose another child? This time he saved a son from death, which he was unable to do previously and he wasn’t present to be able to even try), but he gave Dimitri the thing Dimitri desired the most from those he loved: he treated Dimitri like a regular person who needed to live his own life for himself, and in the single most critical moment to Rodrigue, forgot to use titles and formalities and openly expressed his true feelings just by using Dimitri’s name alone.
Dimitri never liked all those stuffy behaviors and titles. He just wanted to be a person. Rodrigue, his family, gave him that at Rodrigue’s very end, explicitly informing Dimitri that was how this man always thought of him just from that one moment of Rodrigue’s feelings slipping through. He was always keeping up appearances, but Dimitri was always just Dimitri to him.
Also, Rodrigue says “please tell me it wasn’t in vain”. Remember, Rodrigue’s son died in vain. Glenn didn’t actually get to protect Dimitri. Earlier, Rodrigue stated that Dimitri’s injuries left him on the verge of death. Glenn didn’t die protecting him. Glenn died in a tragedy. Nothing Glenn did that day that led to his death actually helped Dimitri survive. Dimitri survived because Gilbert found him in time.
Rodrigue knows that and doesn’t want another person dear to Dimitri to die a death that didn’t need to happen. He also doesn’t want it to be in vain because if it was, he would have died being unable to protect his son. Rodrigue “died for what he believed in”, but he died because he thoughtlessly, without hesitation, died to save his son. He believed in Dimitri, but he also believed Dimitri to be his child as much as Glenn and Felix ever were.
Even though Glenn did die in vain, he attempted to die keeping his best friend alive. He believed in his best friend, just like Lambert believed in his son to be able to saved if he ever went astray.
Before Rodrigue dies, he last thoughts are of Lambert, but also his promise to Lambert, which was about Dimtiri.
Rodrigue was always thinking of his family throughout the whole game (literally, he brings up Felix to Byleth regularly and brings up Glenn throughout the story as well), and that extended to Lambert and Dimtiri. At the very last, he literally died like he lived, and that was for his family.
#DCB Comments#Rodrigue#Rodrigue Achille Fraldarius#I just love that Rodrigue wasn't living solely as the right hand of a king#It wasn't about who was in power that he acted like he did for them#If you notice too he never really talks about Rufus as if he simply doesn't care for him either way#Rufus is still part of the royal family but he doesn't get the same treatment from Rodrigue as Lambert and Dimitri#It's not about ''they're my king and prince''. It's not about being in a slightly lesser station than them that he saved Dimitri#For him it was always about family first and his position after even if HE himself didn't realize that#If Rufus was about to die would Rodrigue die for him? Probably not. He may be a royal but if Rodrigue died for him#he couldn't be alive to watch over the people he actually cares about. Say Rufus was about to die but Lambert and Dimitri weren't even there#Here he wouldn't even have a choice to make of ''do I die for Rufus or live for them''. I think he simply just... wouldn't do it#He might /fight/ to keep him alive but I don't think he would shield Rufus with his own body. That line of thinking makes me think#that again it's not about status. It's about who he considers family and who is important to him just like any other person would react#It's bc he loves those two that he behaves the way he does and does what he does for them. I think if he didn't love the people in power#he wouldn't treat them like he does simply bc they're in power. I think he only treats him like he does bc of affection#Like I really think if Rodrigue had to choose between Faerghus or Dimitri and/or Lambert that he'd pick those two over#Faerghus itself bc tbh Rodrigue is really just like anyone else. He has priorities preferences and biases#I ofc think he'd be torn abt it but I think he'd ultimately choose people he sees as family over anything else#i love you rodrigue achille fraldarius

Oki then: who are your ocs and how&why did you come up with them? Have a wonderful week!
When I tell you I woke up and screamed, that I had a big stupid smile on my face, I'm not lying. I texted my friends, and I took a screenshot. I was giggling and kicking my feet like a schoolgirl.
Oh, this is a lovely loaded question, anon! I have the urge and need to yap about my children because I love them so much. For now I only want to talk about the oc that I use the most because I am so familiar with him and he swims around in my brain until something new crosses my sights.
Tumblr media
before i get into talking about Arcturus Black:
"how & why did you come up with them?"
Not to sound 'cringe' or 'weird' I typically come up with an original character if I either want to be inserted into that universe, or there is a character I really like that I want to interact with. They start out as self-inserts but over time develop their own personalities and lore. And this could go for any fandom I'm in.
Arcturus Black is one of my HP oc's whom I've fallen in love again with this HP revival. (idk how I got back into this fandom)
*p.s. I will not watch the new series on MAX because I absolutely despise JK Rowling and her writing is shit anyway
To say it bluntly, I like Regulus Black, specifically the Regulus Black whom we know nothing about. Not the fandom girliepopification of Regulus Black. He was a Quidditch player for Slytherin, joined the Death Eater's young, betrayed Voldemort because he messed with Kreacher.
I uphauled my previous Harry Potter oc and wanted to make another one because I was a Hufflepuff and had landed on giving Regulus Black a son because I had seen a lot of people give Sirius Black children. I thought I was being cool and quirky straying from what other people do. Thus the idea for Arcturus was born.
He was tall, he had dark hair he could tie up, his eyes reminded me of the moon, he barely smiled, he hid behind books, he avoided people. Arcturus quickly became my pride and joy because I loved his personality, I loved his lore, I loved the angst specifically.
Being upset because his uncle, Sirius, preferred Harry over him and even avoided him in some cases. Sirius died in the Ministry thinking Arcturus hated him, the boy that looked almost uncannily like his brother. Fucking- He's a lil shit/pos
He has a friend group consisting of Severinus Lyall (to be yapped ab later), Luna Lovegood, and Neville Longbottom. I like to call the four of them Four Corners because Arcturus is a Hufflepuff, Neville and Gryffindor, Luna a Ravenclaw, and Severinus a Slytherin. They are his closest friends, but there are times he would rather curl up with a good book. Outsiders often mistake him looking at his book as not paying attention whenever one of his friends are talking, but he pays attention even with his face buried in a book.
Did I mention he has a crush on Neville?
He is fucking whipped for Neville Longbottom, just as I am whipped for Neville Longbottom. Dare I say more?
JkJk I will say more. Arcturus denies ever having feeling for Neville in the first place because he's afraid of those feelings. He's afraid of what other people will say. He doesn't know himself well enough to trust those feelings, mainly he's just scared his feelings are filling the void in him cause he has no idea who his dad is.
He's protective of his friends, protective of Neville. He fights for the people who stood by him when everyone else doubted him. He cherishs his friends. They are his support system when he is at Hogwarts.
The disconnect with the Black family name because he didn't grow up with anyone, the hatred of who he is because everyone already assumes the worst of him. I mean, I've planned for Arcturus to have a whole arc to himself about wanting to understand himself and wanting others to understand him because so many people choose to think they already know who he is just because of his name.
And I can relate to him, so much. I can relate to not feeling like I understand myself, or that I'm even more isolated from my already small family, its why I love him so much.
The only reason why I don't think he's a self insert completely is because with writing, everyone puts a piece of themselves in it. In whatever they create, the artist breathes life of their own into their creation. Sure, Arcturus isn't my only oc but he was the one I wanted to talk about because I use him more than the others. I have quite a few that I could talk about but they aren't as feral on the brain as Arcturus is. I'm writing a new fic with him, I'm developing him more. (the fic is a sequel, you should check it out/j)
Okay, I didn't exactly try to sit down and write this in one go, nor did I really have a list or uniform information about Arcturus. I don't exactly write things down about my ocs, instead end up telling my irl friends random blurbs about them whether I have an idea involving fanfiction or not. Honesty, I should do that Meet the Character Monday thing...
If you've read this far, thank you very much for reading. And again, anon, thank you so much for asking this question. It made my day to see it in my inbox!

Honest opinions hour:
Mk9 was actually fan service done well. Minus the shit with shang tsung and sindel, raiden bargaining with a fucking bald ass demon that is quan chi. And kung lao dying and being treated like shit. And liu kang being an arrogant asshole that never gets called out in the narrative outside of towers. But we all should FUCKING KNOW! that tower endings aren't canon! They are best case scenario in favor of the character YOU PICKED. that's the point of towers. (And the fact that nrs got rid of towers said to me they dont give a fuck about their fans. AT ALL. And people are too stupid to see just how fucked up and really bad that is for the game. That's how you know mk has been commercialized. Next they gonna get rid of the violence or blood too, watch as they fuck up so badly. And make it legitimately an official knockoff cheap sanitized version. Ugh gross. Watch as people legitimately dont care and when all the hype goes away....they are left with nothing and nobody. Y'all first clue should have been when they made kuai scorpion. But y'all be a special kinda dumb to not see why that is bad. But i digress.)
Anyways. Mk11 was mid. Not the best. Not the worst. But mid. But now? It's a masterpiece compared to the shitshow that is mk12,aka mk1 2023.
Raiden isn't fucking emotionless. He cares about mortals, and especially his mortals that fight under him and his brother fujin. Raiden is the most human out of all the gods. And yes,he's a god. Not a chump farmer, not a fucking "dEmiGoD" naw. A full blown, non gmo, grade A,can of whoop ass, bonafide, thunder god! Fight me on that! Also raiden has responsibilities but he's sassy and loving. Like your dad figure. He's dad shaped. He's understaffed, underpaid, underappreciated, mortals sometimes take his ass for granted(unfortunately). Again raiden is a sweetheart,no pushover, but not a complete dick. No more than anyone else could be.
Speaking of his brother fujin. Fujin is not some uwu,uke boy. He's not some dude that is helpless. He's ferocious,he's deadly. Mischievous, impish, and not someone you should take lightly. He's not the "nicer" of the storm gods. He's just much as a full can of whoops ass as his brother. If not more so. The only difference between fujin n raiden is raiden has years and eons of fucking restraint and mastery. Fujin dont(or he just dont bother to). Raiden is a guaranteed death if you push him. But he doesn't. You could survive fujin, barely, but evennif you do raiden aint far behind and you....aint surviving that man. But lucky for you these two dont automatically resort to violence. Unless you declare mortal kombat. Then im sorry honey your shit outta luck. May the elder gods have mercy on you,cuz they won't.
Reptile is a fucking lizard man. Not some twink in disguise. (Dude I've seen better human forms that that fr from fans eww nrs. Eww.) And his whole ass species was brought into near extinction, and endangerment by SHAO KAHN. NOT SHANG TSUNG YOU IDIOTS. SHAO KAHN. shao kahn has been fucking gotten rid of his importance in the story and it pisses me off. Shao kahn did a looooooot of work. And nrs erased it and gave it to my man?! Like i love shang but no offense, shang tsung isn't that kinda dide to do that shit. At all. He's better as a behind the scenes guy. Because guess what?....THAT WAS HIS WHOLE POOOOOIIIINT!!!!
Shang is a recurring headache at best and at worst he is only a threat to those who dare disrespect him, challenge him,and or prevent him from getting souls(which he needs to live. Not just for power you twats,no he legitimately needs them to live. He's cursed. And idgaraf what nrs said or says.)
Rain is an actual demigod. And is argus's illegitimate son. I hc the gods and elders gods didn't really gaf about mortals x gods mingling. Argus worried about his worshipers and mortals reactions. Because legitimately he cheated on his wife dalia. And taven n daegon were gonna suffer because of it. Rain's mother was heartbroken and told her son died in birth. And yeah rains whole backstory is fucked. But yeah that's what happened. Basically argus is a dick and isn't well liked among the mortals and gods. (Dont tell jade,i hc she was devote to argus but blinded to the truth. Untill she eventually found out. She was so hurt by this, poor jade)
Hanzo hasashi is scorpion. Always will be. Fight me. End of discussion.
Bi-han was just as a victim as kuai and hanzo. Quan chi is the fucker you should blame. Idgaf if you love hanzo. Dont blame bi-han for quan chi's manipulations. Bi-han suffered really bad. It's not his fault that the narrative still wants to cheapen his character to "eViL bRoThEr" archtype trope. Pisses me off. Bi-han and hanzo should shake hands and make up. Like fr.
Never forgive nrs. Idgaf if they make any new games. Dont buy them. They had many years to get shit right. They screwed up. Just play the old games
I havee many more but I'll leave it at that for now.

VegasPete and the Hedgehog Dilemma (Part 2)
Part One here
*Spoilers for episode 11!!*
*Deep breathes* What an episode! *sweating*
I absolutely loved this episode. I think I have watched it (well, some scenes) more than a couple of times and the preview for next episode even more.
Let me make the disclaimer already here that I understand why people see VegasPete as toxic and the torture scenes were not everyone’s cup of tea, but I do not have a problem about them, and I actually liked them for how they really let us take a glimpse of their true character. If you are not into them, don’t even bother to read and argue with me. These are just my thoughts.
So where to start?
The hedgehog itself. The tiny creature in the cage, only entertained when being fed. What a perfect image for the two of them. Encaged, without the freedom to explore the outer world, but able to see all that is around it. The hedgehog is not there by its own will – it was bought as a pet (I’m assuming that Vegas did not go hunting in the wild for it) – and despite not being threatened, its spikes are always there, clear to anyone who dares to touch it.
Vegas is not doing the role of the heir on his own will (more on this very soon). Like Kinn, he is thrown to this mafia world with only one mission for his life – defeat the main family, especially his elder cousin. However, Vegas’ role in his father’s gameboard is not even to be the perfect heir – it is simply to obey him. And this is a role that Vegas will never fulfill, as Pete notices quite quickly – he will never be accepted no matter what happens. Vegas is encaged therefore in a world he does not want to be and has all his arsenal out – you name the torture toys he has at his display.
Then Pete. Pete might have been chosen to be a bodyguard on his own, or by gratitude towards the main family (I’m assuming that the main family takes good care of his grandmother from Kinn’s call), but he let us know about a world that he did not willingly join – the world of violence, particularly, domestic violence. It broke my heart to know that Pete tried all he could to please his father, just for him to be repeatedly beaten because his father never overcame his own personal ghosts. And Pete also has his arsenal out – his somewhat external indifference to violent acts and his gentle aloofness (the naked stances in his room), sometimes foolish (he “pretending” to not know what is going on with KinnPorsche), with no need to delve deeper into his real feelings.
Tumblr media
This is why this scene (image above, I hope it shows) is one of the most raw and honest scenes we have had between Vegas and Pete. Cinematography is gorgeous, the juxtaposition of the yellowish and green tones, one on the floor with his invisible shackles (and the chain bracelet on his wrist) while the other on bed with chains. Pete has visible, horrible wounds on him, but their shared emotional ones are almost, if not more, louder and reflective of both of them. We have for the first time, a moment of pure intimacy between them. Not the earlier “kiss”. But that was a turning point. For the first time, Vegas is experiencing an intimate touch not to manipulate and destroy someone, much the opposite, he is saving someone. Whether Vegas did it consciously or subconsciously, we got the glimpse of the “innocent” Vegas who was afraid of losing Pete. Why? Here is the question that is nagging everyone’s brain. He could very well just leave Pete to die. It’s not like he cannot find someone else to torture. And yet he chooses Pete.
Pete. The head bodyguard for the eldest son of the major family. Pete, the one that does not show resentment or beg for his life despite that is being done to him. Pete, that fights back despite the humiliation and pain. Pete has seen the surrender of intimacy from Vegas and he too is safe at that moment to share a part of his – his past, his father and his unachievable standards. Is he trying to comfort Vegas? He is trying to comfort the two of them, to show that he understands why this world is grey and not monochrome, something that he has not done with any other character in the series so far.
When these two hedgehogs meet, they eventually hurt each other. Vegas is faced with the first glimpses of fear and regret for hurting Pete, and Pete is faced with having to expose himself, and later (assuming from the preview) his attraction towards Vegas. But the same way they are hurt by each other’s defenses, they are also rewarded with something way more beautiful – the mutual understanding of each other’s pain and unspoken trauma.
We are entering a typical moment of sons paying for the father’s sins, but this is a topic for another day. Because I also need to gather my thoughts on that jerk of a father that Gun is (going by the name on the credits).
And also because now I need to plan how a reverse PorscheKinn would work with the revelations today.

Memories
Please note: I'm calling Keith's dad Texas. It's nickname given to him by his fellow firefighters.
Warning! There is the death of a character written here. I described how they died. There is nothing graphic, if it could trigger you, THEN DON'T READ.
I kinda forgot to continue using the Texan accent, so there's only the first line that uses it.
-------------------------------------------
"Keith. Keith! Wake up, bud. I have somethin' to show you. 'aight let's go."
Keith groggily followed his dad out the door of their small ranch home. Keith had always loved their house. Like his dad, he valued solitude.
Texas hoisted his son onto his shoulders easily. Keith had always been on the smaller side. He once told Keith that he had his mother's fire in him. His emotions were bigger than him.
They both clambered onto the roof together. "Now lay back," Texas ordered.
"But what if I fall?"
"Then I'll always be here to catch you. I know I'm getting old, but your old man will always have enough strength left in him to hold you up. Never forget that.
They waited in comfortable silence, When Keith closed his eyes, he could hear the few bugs strong enough to survive out here chirping in the background. Right as he was about to drift off, he heard his dad's soft whisper.
"Look up."
Keith looked once and never wanted to take his eyes away again. He saw light streaking across the sky like glowing raindrops. He could hear his father murmuring soft things about the light show above them. Keith settled into the soft comfort of that continuous voice. He always wondered how his dad could know so much about the world.
"You know, these meteoroids are like us. We're always alone, and we can't do anything about where life takes us. But we can get by just fine with a few good companions. You don't need all the diamonds in the sky to make a constellation. But they're still beautiful."
"Happy early birthday, Keith. Dream big dreams."
"Is that Texas's kid?"
"Dear lord help those two. Texas needs to take care of himself for his child's sake."
"He's our best firefighter! What would you suggest we do if he were to quit?"
"The world with go on, I assure you."
A crowd had gathered to watch as men and women in yellow rushed into the burning building like bees. It was a church, from what Keith could hear of the mob's conversations.
Finally, when the evacuation was closing up, he could hear his dad's voice call out, "Is there anyone missing? Is anyone still in there?"
"My child! He got left behind!"
And just like that, Texas dropped everything to run right back into that church. And Keith felt a sharp bot of fear as he heard the flaming walls of the building creak. But Texas would come back. He always came back.
He could hear people screaming out for Texas to stop. Their wails bled into the night and the sound of the crackling fire.
Cree-ee-eeEAK
In a huge plume of smoke, the building fell. Keith could only watch in horror as the ash cleared and a small child appeared from the darkness.
Texas had saved the kid. That was all Keith could think as tears started streaming down his face. He ignored the people around telling him to come back as he raced towards the church.
The waited as close as he dared for his father to come back. He waited for him to pull himself out from the rubble and say, "See. bud? Your old man can't be beaten by some flames! Would you believe me if I told you I was scared for a moment there? But I know you weren't my brave hippo."
But it never happened. He watched as the fire finally ceased. He watched as his father's friends pulled his burnt, bloody body out of the piles of dirt.
Without hesitation, Keith ran up to his dad. He knew it was stupid to try and wake the man up, but he tried anyway. He shook Texas and sobbed into his chest. Keith could feel people place their hands on his shoulders to try and comfort him.
He didn't say a word. He had always been quiet for his age, and heard people in town whisper about how it was probably because of Texas's reclusive nature.
Even now, he knew they were judging him. They were judging him and the amazing man who knew everything there is to know about the stars and the earth and everything between.
As he watched his father's body being lowered deep into the dirt in the middle of a quiet meadow, he could hear the man's words.
"Dream big dreams. You're going to go further than I ever will. Do me a favor and fly all the way up to the stars, and past them if you can. I know you can. Your fire is too big to be held back here on Earth."
So Keith did. He worked hard. And he made it to the stars. And though he would never admit it, when he finally made it he knew it was only for one person.
"Thanks for holding me up, dad."
He came back with a gasp.
As he looked around, he realized that he was back at the castle of lions, surrounded by the other paladins.
This had been another 'bonding exercise' designed by Allura for them to get to know each other better.
This was not something Keith wanted to share. He felt invaded. The only thing the world could never take away from him was these memories, and now all of it was floating around the other paladins' brains.
He suddenly became aware of the tears flowing town his face and warm arms wrapped around him.
He heard Lance whisper in his ear, "You only need a few good ones, Keith. And we're here for you whether you like it or not."
Life really was like those shooting stars.
But Keith was finally okay with that.

Hey, everyone!
So I've been influenced by the amazing @journey-to-the-au to make my own monkey versions. Their stories are absolutely amazing and inspired me to make my own. I hope its ok if I use some of your concepts, and if not, please let me know, and I can change them.
I'm still learning about the Monkey King book. The more I learn from the books, the more I'll implement it or change some things in charcater stories. My Hyperfixation on Lego Monkie kid has evolved into a Monkey King hyperfixation in general. So I'm going to combine the two because I love them both.
Designs for lmk charcater will relatively stay the same as well as the story, but with other Monkey King elements thrown in. First thing first, here is the height chart I made for original residents on flower fruit mountain/Mount Huaguo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I will be making more height charts for more characters this is just one of a few more
Now I hope everyone buckles in because this girl also wrote small snippets for each character, and it is long! The snippets follow left from right!
Dai Lu: known as the Mother of the Mountain, before Dai Lu found WuKong, she watched over the mountain and the beings that lived there for centuries. Everyone on the mountain held her in high regard and came to her for disputes and settling matters. Even the troop of isolated Macaques gave her the respect she deserved, which they didn't give much respect to anyone outside their troop. She and he family resided by the large water fall with the biggest troop of monkies on the island.
She had a small daughter at the time of them finding WuKong after he hatched from his stone (her other half lost to a hunter attack not long after their daughter was born). Dai Lu took the small monkey under her wing, and with the help of the troop, they raised WuKong. When the brotherhood was formed, she was the voice of reason and tried to keep their plans from angering the celestials.
It came to a close when Dai Lu was trapped in a sword by a minor celestial hoping to use her to "tame" WuKong, and it is where she stayed for many years. Her sword was passed down from generation to generation, before finally a young swordsman kind enough to even listen to her, set her free. A kindness she repays frequently back to his family.
But it was then she realized how long she was gone for. Her daughter was off the mountian raising her son, and WuKong was already on his journey, the weight of Macaque's death on his shoulders as well as fighting and trapping three his sworn brothers. Dai Lu, with little connections she had in the celestial realm, was able to at least visit him a few times on said journey.
Dai Lu set off the mountain once, staying with WuKong after a few years of him returning from his journey. It is then, she made the Skulk, a group of Huli-Jin that helped each other. All Huli-Jin were welcome to come and go as they please.
Sun WuKong: we all know about WuKong. So I don't think there is much to explain. He was raised by Dai Lu and proudly called her his Mama. He has an older sister (I don't have a name for her yet). After his Journey and the removal of the fillet, left fillet like scars on his forehead. It may have helped him but, it left behind scars. His daughter's rock came to him a few months later after his return to the mountain.
WuKong had tried to get Macaque's soul back to only be told it was missing. He fell into a bit of a depressive stated after that. His mother and his troop, especially the babies of the moutain and his own daughter helped him. Over time he was able to apologize to the macaque troop, the only reason they even tolerate his presence was because of Chao-Xing, Rumble and Savage the last remaining peices of Macaque they had left. He accepted their decision and tried to stay a much out of their way as possible.
The only one who doesn't dare be in his presence is Mo, Macaque's younger sister. She despises him even after she learns of her brother resurrection, but her problem is with WuKong and only him. She wouldn't dare have the wrath of her family come down on her for getting her Nieces and Nephew caught in her hate for their other father.
Six Eared Macaque: Macaque was born to the isolated Macaque group of Flower Fruit Mountain. He didn't have a father, his mother saying he was a gift from the wind. His grandfather, the king of the troop, taught him everything he needed to know about his magic and how to take care of his family. He also became a big brother, to a sister named Mò.
When he was little, he got swept away by the river to land in Dai Lu and her troop's part of the mountain. He was taken care of by them until his Grandpa and Mom was able to pick him up. It was then he met WuKong and they became fast friends. As years passed they met up and played frequently.
When they were older, they started to court and became mates. Macaque was the main catalyst for WuKong searching for a way of immortality. There was a massive fight as hunters found the isolated macaque troop, and Macaque while defending his family got badly hurt in the process.
When it came to the book of the dead, Macaque and the macaque troop was included in with the other names being crossed out. Around when Macaque set out to find WuKong on his journey his mother and sister pleaded for him to stay. He wished he had listened. After his death the macaque troop closed themselves off fully from WuKong's troop and Dai Lu. Mò especially.
Macaque still is hesitant to return to his old troop when he's resurrected and espesally after being on good terms with WuKong and the others again.
Chao-Xing: the daughter of the Monkey King and the Six Eared Macaque. She was made by the combination of their magic and was born from stone just like WuKong. She is well loved by the troop and she was fawned over by her Aunts, Uncles, GUncle's, and Great Grandpa. She learned a lot from all of them.
How to fight hand to hand by Aunt Ma, how to take care of a flower field by her Aunt Rin Rin, how to control her shadow magic from her Great Grandpa, and more.
After hearing her father's journey she wanted to have her own, to fully see the world and to learn more about it was well. She made a compromise with her Bama (WuKong) that if she waited until she was old enough and everyone in her family deemed her ready, then she was able to leave the mountain. She accepted and let's say it took the macaque troop hundreds of years to finally agree he fit enough to let her go.
Chao-Xing is the one who helps ease her Baba (Macaque) back into WuKong's troop, though it doesn't take to much for them to welcome him back. She is also the one trying to talk him into see the macaque troop again
Rin Rin: the head teacher of the mountain. Rin Rin 50% of the time is seen leading groups of children around teaching them about the world around them. She is highly protective of children and even though she doesn't have much combat training, she can still be a lot to handle for a foe when it comes to a child under her care being in danger.
She has a major green thumb, can take a dying plant to be florishing stong plant. Rin Rin is also the sole reason 90% of the flower beds on the mountian are where they are. She takes great pride in them.
Rin Rin and Marshal Liu are mates. They started courting before the great fire on the mountain. They decided to put off having children of their own with everything that happened to the mountain while their king was away. When they do finally have kids, they have an older daughter the same age as Chao-Xing and twin boys a few years younger.
Marshal Liu: Liu is very protective of the troop and the monkeys he cares about most. He also the most level headed out of his fellow Marshal and generals, but he's got his own mean streak that he's not afraid to show off. His father was apart of a small band if wandering simians on the mountain, his little half sister Biyu's father was also apart of that group as well.
Liu knew who his father was and actually got to do things with him. He wasnt actually too bad of a father, teaching him some things when ever he was around, but Liu mainly wanted stuck with his mother and her troop. Liu and much like the other Generals and Marshal grew up with WuKong, they trained together and when WuKong became King he named him Marshal. His prefered weapon is a yan yue dao.
Liu knew the moment he saw Rin Rin teaching the little ones for the first time, he wanted to court her. But, it was the first time he watched her fight off a tiger demon who decided it was a good idea to attack her and the little ones one day, that he decided to FINALLY ask her. After the fact of course.
Biyu: Biyu is the little sister of Liu and is a soldier (prefered weapon and a poleaxe) under the command of her brother and her friends. Dispite being his little sister, she is taller than Liu in their older years, and he's a little annoyed by that fact. A fact she LOVES to tease him about. Even though she was a few years younger then them all, they still looked her to tag along with them.
Biyu has a major love for phoenixs, she even likes to sit and watch them fly around, the phoenixs has grown used to her being around, she leaves them be so they don't see her as a threat. Even a few have grown curious of her and one was even brave enough to perch on her shoulder, she practically gushed about it for days to who ever would listen. Who most of the time would be Ba.
Ba and her are mates, Ba would do anything for her. For his first courting gift to her when they did finally start courting he presented her with a Phoenix feather. The same one she wears proudly in her fur til this day.
The scars on her face and down her neck she received from the fire on the mountain, the scar travels around over her shoulder and down her back. She got it from catching a falling branch from hurting a mother and her two children. She doesn't regret how she got the scars, but it still took her years for her to feel confident in her looks again, with how ugly she deemed the scars. Ba was also a major help in getting her confidence back.
General Ba: the youngest of the terror twins of Flower Fruit mountian and a general of WuKong (prefered weapon is the chicken sickels). When he was little, he'd screech at anyone in the troop that referred to him as a girl. The troop learned pretty quickly the pronouns he prefered. Yes, he is ftm, but he will terrorize anyone who has the audacity to tell him otherwise, and he has. Being an annoyance to someone is a very effective way to get someone to correct pronoun usage.
Ma and Ba were actually born to another troop not too far from WuKong's. The troops met frequently and were on good terms with one another. Meeting to share stories and trade. They even were able to stay over with the troop under Rin Rin's family care who was their father's sister, making them cousin's to Rin Rin.
There was one point something happened (a something i will figure out eventually XD) that kept the two troops separated for a few years. Cutting Ba and Ma off from their friends. When the way was finally opened to traverse again, the two decided to make the decision of staying with WuKong's troop. One their mother or father did not try to stop them.
Ba and Biyu are mates. When Ba met Biyu and the others after their years apart, she gave him one hug and he was gone for her. And when he went to get the Phoenix feather for a courting gift, he practically negotiated with them for an entire day and that consisted of him doing errands for them. They gave him one of their molted flight feathers in exchange.
Marshal Ma: is the oldest of the terror twins and a Marshal that serves WuKong (Her prefered weapon is an emeici). The duo love pranks but, they definitely toned it down when they have gotten older. They even terrorizes a pack of wolf demons that were going to attack their troop so badly the pack who had lived their for generations had to escape off the moutain to get away from them.
Ma's fighting style is a bit different from her fellow Marshal and Generals. She prefers a get in and get out approch while the others prefer head on fighting. She loves sneaking around to get the job done and is always to go to when stealth is involved.
Ma and Beng are mates, Ma always tried to help Beng as much as she could, whith his dad and him being the only two medicine monkies on the island. She does help him when he gets too much into his herbs to rememeber to eat, drink, sleep and get put and do things once in awhile.
General Beng: a General under WuKong and a medicine monkey. Beng takes great pride with his work with medicine and herbs. He learned everything from his father, who was over joyed to teach everything he knew to his son. Beng when he was young developed Aphonia from an attack on the troop, his voice never going much above a whisper. He also has an aversion to physical touch. He knows accidental touchs are common, especially if he has to take care of a fellow monkey. What he hates is prolonged touches like hugs or even a simple hand on his shoulder, it makes it feel like he got ants in his skin. The only prolonged touch othe then Ma, he could stand is his parents grooming his fur.
Beng had a hard time connecting to the other monkeys, though he does have Ma to thank for actually making friends out of WuKong and his friends. She practically dragged him along on the outings with the others and if there wasn't something too important in his work, made sure he got breaks.
The years that Ba and Ma and their troop were cut off from them, Beng was near constantly sucked in his work. It took the others and his parents hours to get him to do anything to take care of himself. Beng didn't realize how muched he missed the other monkey until the path way to get to the others again was clear and she and her brother came to the troop requesting to Dai Lu if they could stay. No one told them no and Beng just wrapped up Ma in a hug, she is the only one he allows and seeks out physical affection from.
It wasn't long that they started courting after that.

Does Shlatt ever feel guilty about almost killing his son when he first saw him? Does he ever get nightmares about what would have happened if Tubbo hadn’t started audibly crying?
This has been sitting in my inbox for months, i’ve been thinking about it a lot. I don’t know who you are but what you’re about to read is your fault /lh (fr tho i genuinely enjoyed writing it so thank you for the ask hskskskshs)
Anyway i wanted to flex my angst muscles so take literally the darkest thing i have ever written. And just so you know, there is a part two if anyone wants it because the ending of this is dark, and the epilogue thingy makes it less dark. However that’s not included in this post because i want you all to suffer :)
Tws (don’t take these ones lightly): MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH, descriptive gore, alcoholism, mentioned drug use, vomiting mention, brief descriptions of blood
it’s shorter than i usually write but don’t be fooled
The nightmares come somewhat often. They’re always the same, and only for a few hours. Every time Schlatt wakes up after one of them, it’s only been 3 or 4 hours since he went to sleep. But, god, does it feel like a whole lifetime in the dream. A life he could have made for himself, one he hated that he could have had. One thing he had almost done.
Blood on his shoe; that’s how it always started. Never at the beginning, the true beginning, where he first found the little boy, or heard his crying. He knew the crying too well in his actual life; he had heard it every day for many months after he met his son, before he learned to speak and became fully verbal. No, the dream didn’t feel the need to remind him of that sound, it only started with the sickly crunch as his boot finished flattening itself to the floor, bones splitting and blood splattering underneath it across the dirty apartment floor as the innocent life of the child he would grow to love more than anything else in the world was stomped out before it could ever really begin.
The dream was somewhat split here in a way that didn’t make sense, as dreams often don’t; Schlatt felt like his brain, his heart, whatever you could call it, was split in two. In one part, he felt as he did in that moment so many years ago before he had chosen to take in the child; a mild annoyance that this creature even dare exist. The other half of him was the real, current him. The him that felt like an unwilling passenger in a memory that was twisted. He felt like he was experiencing everything first person, like he was doing it himself but had no control. This was the part he could always tell was kind of a dream, since he was still lucid enough to feel like himself, even if he couldn’t reason enough to realize he was asleep. And as himself, he felt sick. Angry. He wanted to puke. He wanted nothing more than to strangle himself, to kill the him that would kill his son, to drop to the ground and just stare at the remains of his child and sob until his eye ran dry and his throat bled. But he couldn’t, not in the dream, because the worse him, the him that he could have been if things were shifted slightly to the left, still had control. He couldn’t stand to hear the life be drained from his son, couldn’t stand to be reminded of how ignorant he’d been when they met, but he couldnt stop it, either. He hated it, he hated it so much.
The worse him carried on, like he always did on the nightmare nights. He cleaned up the bloodied and mangled remains of what was once just a frightened and innocent child and continued on with his day. The rest of the day went as it always did, which infuriated the real Schlatt more, since he would have had no way of knowing what he’d robbed himself of. But he’d soon learn. Because at this point in the dream, real schlatt disappeared. He no longer felt what he would really feel, only his past self’s emotions, and it made it all so much worse.
Days passed in the dream, going on normally. No thoughts of the little borrower, nothing changing. Nothing changed from how he had lived before…until Quackity broke up with him. Time warped, not like he could tell in the dream, but months passed. Months passed and he saw Quackity less and less often. Months passed and he found new lovers, and they moved in down the hallway. He didn’t want to talk to them. He didn’t want to do much of anything.
He started drinking more. He had always been a heavyweight, but he needed to get drunk. He needed the distraction. He was alone, he was so lonely, he just wanted it to stop. Months passed faster and more often than not he was passing out drunk on the couch instead of sleeping in an actual bed. He picked up smoking again. Not that he didn’t smoke often anyway, but his packs seemed to be disappearing quicker and quicker. Quackity tried to reach out more often, he saw how Schlatt was declining but he became bitter and angry, often lashing out at him in a drunken rage, and there was nothing Q could do to help him. There was nothing anyone could do to help him anymore.
The dream always ended the same way, too. He was on the couch, barely conscious after his god knows how many at this point bottle of whatever he was drinking, having some stupid argument with Quackity. Probably about his health, which Schlatt would laugh at before proceeding to feel something wrong. Something in his chest. Now, Schlatt in real life did not know what a heart attack felt like, but they probably weren’t as painful as the dream made them out to be. Part of him thinks it’s his own subconscious being mad at him for still thinking about that moment so much, even after it had all turned out for the better, but those were his thoughts after he woke up.
In the dream, he laid on the floor, after trying and failing to stumble off the couch, blood staining his dominant hand and arm as the bottle he was holding shattered on the floor and cut open his palm. He tried to scream, to sob in pain, to beg any god that would listen for some kind of mercy, but something wouldn’t let him. He laid in silence. That child he killed never got to scream or plead or beg, why should he? He was starting to lose grasp of the things around him. The panicked, cracking voice of his ex-fiancé above him, a professional sounding voice on a speaker phone updating how long it would be until someone got there, pressure on his chest and air being forced into his lungs. It wasn’t working. He could barely make out Quackity’s face anymore. He could barely feel the tears that fell from his eyes onto his own face. He could barely hear Quackity trying to refrain from sobbing and just trying to keep him awake. It didn’t work. No one came in time.
He died there, every time. He died in his early twenties having drunk himself to death and in the arms of a man who he had once loved but couldn’t even have been bothered to be around for the last few months of his life. He died having accomplished nothing but self pity and loathing. No final words, no final goodbyes. A fitting end for someone like him.
***
He always woke up in a cold sweat, tears pouring out of his eyes. He had never been good at remembering dreams, but this one he remembered every time, always in excruciating, vivid detail. He never knew what to do, so he laid there, hand over his mouth, stifling sobs. Sometimes he would think about it to hard, re-play it all over and over, remind himself of what a monster he could’ve been. That he used to be. Sometimes he couldn’t help but let the wet, sickening crunch fill his ears over and over, let his brain conjure up the sickly scent of iron, make himself sick. Only sometimes did he feel bad enough after waking up that he needed to puke. Tonight was one of those nights.
He spent who knows how long just leaning over the toilet bowl, face pale and dripping with sweat, just trying to stop the vomiting and the nausea that came over him to no avail. His knuckles where clenched white around the porcelain. He knew it could have happened. He knew how close he was to that life. Hell, that’s probably exactly how it would have gone down if he hadn’t met Tubbo. Tubbo was the reason he stopped smoking. Tubbo was the reason he had stopped his unhealthy drinking habits, god knows how addicted he had been back in school. He bettered himself for the sake of his son, his main supporter, the light of his life in more ways than he could ever explain, he wouldn’t have accomplished anything he had recently without him.
Tubbo had saved his life just as much as Schlatt had saved his.
He loved his son more than anything, he hated anything that would have or could hurt him, and with that came the unfortunate truth: there was a part of himself that he hated, that he could never forgive. And there was nothing he could do to change that.

Cry as much as you want, Aemon is more important as a character than your rapist meow meow, aegon deserves all the hate he gets and helaena finding happiness in her little brother and having children with him who is the love of her life gives her more agency than just being a babymaking factory for her rapist older brother. I don’t think you even care about helaena’s characterization let alone aemond’s because you are only interested in kissing aegon’s ass. As a rhaenicent it’s embarrassing to see you being a rhaenicent and helaegon at the same time, you’re so pathetic and after i went through your cringy blog it make sense why you’re this much pathetic. How about you stop shipping rhaenicent and just stick with the real FLAVOURLESS ship Helaegon.
Why do i feel like you've copy pasted this. This looks like the exact same ask i got aftet when i posted this LMAOOoo
As far as i know, dance of the dragons happened between Viserys I Targaryen's children Rhaenyra Targaryen and Aegon II Targaryen so i really don't know what do you mean by “"Aemon" is a more important character” and yes i agree Aegon deserves all the hate he gets because he is a drunken cunt of a rapist.
From which fanfic have you got the idea that Helaena is portrayed as a baby making factory for her rapist brother??? In the show Helaena is showed as a young woman who has a unique hobby and struggling with her prophetic visions alongside being a daughter, sister, wife and mother.
As for Helaena's characterization, i'm not the one who's desperate to see helaena having her little brother's bastards and killing herself for the love of that little brother instead of her children when that little brother's dumbness is one of the main reason behind her first son's murder or should i say her "barstard son's" murder gives her more "agency" so i don’t know how i'm the one who doesn’t care about Helaena's characterization or her agency.
Now listen to me you fucking dumbass don't you dare to tell me who should i ship and who should i not because it's none of your fucking business and KEEP MY MOTRERS (RHAENICENT) OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MOUTH!!!
Before calling me pathetic look into yourself maybe then you'll get it who is the real pathetic here. At least i'm running a "cringy blog" and you're the one who's sending anon hate to that "cringy blog" because you're too lifeless to ignore or block that "cringy blog" you pathetic loser.
If my ship was actually that much flavourless then i would also have to do mental gymnastics like you dumbasses do by whining why don't anyone like your flavourless ship and sending anon hates to "cringy blogs". But as my ship is helaegon so i really don't how does a flavourless ship looks like.
And yes i'm 100% interested in kissing Aegon's ass. I mean HAVE YOU SEEN HIS ASS????!! In case you were too blind to see Aegon's arc i mean ass i'm giving you another chance to see it. Here you go🥰🤤

WAOF LIVE REACTIONS:
Chapter 1.
🩷🧡💙💜💛
So history lesson: when this was first published, it was on @pippelulu's account. Which means the published date (27/12/13) is actually incorrect! For some reason we then reposted it to my account??? Then we grew enough brain cells to make a joint account and eventually reposted it there. I... don't remember the login details to that account 😀👍
Yabu is our beloved son.
And PippElulu adding in-text author's notes in the FIRST scene. Absolutely iconic of her. Also love how this first scene just immediately went to Onpu's engagement without any context of how the FLAT4 are back, where the hell Yabu fits in, and why they are living in a sharehouse.
Ok in FAIRNESS right after it refers to the girls' house as the "manor" which is hilarious because that was entirely because I was also obsessed with Charmed at the time. Like to the point where I would constantly send PippElulu Charmed quotes where I had just replaced the characters with the Ojamajos. And I am not lying in the slightest when I say I always imagined the Ojamajos as living IN the Halliwell Manor from the show whenever we wrote WAOF.
"Don't tell me! Doremi-chan fell in the toilet again?"
Ok I laughed at this.
Oh, God it is so obvious I had started writing this next scene with the FLATY5... why can I vividly remember writing this:
"You + Onpu-chan = something I can't imagine . . . well, if you were married anyway" Fujio said, Leon tried not to laugh.
And I also remember that I have been cringing over this line for years...
lmao our ordering of events makes absolutely no sense. So... Tooru proposes to Onpu, Onpu goes home, calls him, and then asks if he's sure he wants to marry her? Hilarious.
Momo-chan! Don't you dare walk away from me!
I'm not walking! I'm running!
I am like... 95% sure these lines were inspired by a season 8 episode of Charmed... the stolen quotes start early.
Tumblr media
Completely pointless dialogue exposition my beloved.
Why did Tooru choose who Onpu's maid of honour will be???? And why did we make this a whole ass argument between Aiko and Momoko? If anyone would care that much about it, it would obviously be Doremi...
Tumblr media
We thought this was the FUNNIEST shit ever when we wrote it. And on my last Charmed rewatch I realised there was a really similar scene so did I just steal this from there too?🧍‍♀️
The end of chapter notes that there won't be any lemons <3 yeah we were literal children, I hope not.

It does make me kind of sad we don't see Rhaneys really interact with her grandsons, but at the same time the moment they NEED her she pulls through for them without question really.
It also makes me sad, but it makes sense for the story. Rhaenys doesn't need to be involved with those grandsons. Not at the same level that she does with her granddaughters, especially during Episode 07. Those boys have two parents and lots of other familiar figures around. Baela and Rhaena have an absentee father, a dead mother and they're on an island they don't know, surrounded by strangers and kin they've never met. Rhaenys is grieving her daughter - of course she'd want Baela and Rhaena.
After Episode 07, the boys still have their mother, get a third father figure and are an island away, absolutely safe and sound, whereas Rhaenys has lost both her children, her husband leaves her, her former son-in-law and daughter-in-law are suspected murderers and all she has is the ability to ward ONE of her granddaughters.
I think she gets a lot of flack, just for daring to be honest about the boys and the fact they are not Laenor's blood, because it's way too easy to then liken her to Alicent who actively wants to do the boys harm (not necessarily physical harm, but she wants there to be retribution for the fact that they are, essentially, laying claim to titles she thinks them unworthy or unentitled to) and is the only one to be so blunt about the boys. We don't see that with any of the other characters, not in so serious a tone. And you can then paint Viserys and Corlys as saints for not caring about blood. You can call one party selfless and the other selfish. One side as loving, the other side as vindictive.
My answer is that it's a spectrum. Rhaenys is not Alicent. Just as she is not anyone else. Think of it this way, Corlys isn't claiming those boys purely out of the goodness of his heart - it also serves him politically. Now, that DOES NOT mean he doesn't love the boys. He does. It also doesn't mean he's not aware of the issue and wishes the outcome had been different. Nor does wishing for the outcome to have been different mean he hates resents the boys in any way. This is the same on the flip side. Rhaenys acknowledging the truth of their blood doesn't mean she wants to spit on them, call them out, or have them named and shamed. I would go so far as to say her plan by the fireside was meant to be protective, proactive and preventative.
It's a complex personal AND political issue - you can't get away from that, however much Viserys and Corlys and Rhaenyra want to or attempt to by not speaking of it.
What I come back to is that Rhaenys has never ever done anything to put those boys in danger or at risk. She's never done anything to go out of her way to spurn the boys or take things out on them.
She and Corlys had not spoken about the boys' paternity for TEN YEARS. Not at all. Not once. That's why it's an upheaval for her and Corlys, and their marriage, when she does. She speaks of it, when it becomes clear that it's going to be a problem (as indeed it does), and she brings it up so she can suggest a solution. A perfect solution? No. An unbiased solution? No. One devoid of her grief? No. But a solution that would achieve her personal wants and prevent problems later down the road? Yes.
It's not been a long-term plan, given it hinges on the fact that their daughter is dead. And it doesn't last any longer than that conversation: by the time we see Rhaenys and Corlys again, it's moot.
In later episodes? She doesn't raise Baela to be the heir. Baela has no instinct or inclination that Driftmark will ever be hers. She doesn't hate the Velaryon boys or spurning that side of the family. That says a lot about Rhaenys and how she has raised Baela.
And then Rhaenys not backing Rhaenyra at the petition, initially, has nothing to do with her feelings towards Lucerys. You could argue she doesn't really know Lucerys (though affection is later shown by her using the boys' nicknames in conversation with Corlys). It's because speaking FOR Lucerys would do absolutely nothing except make her enemies (the Greens and Vaemond, the latter of whom would control her HOME if Corlys dies), until Viserys walks into that room.
It's Rhaenys who informs Luke and Jace that their mother has gone into labour, it's them she cites as reasons to join the war, it's them she looks at proudly when she commits herself. We don't get a lot of them interacting, that's true. But we don't get much of Corlys either (certainly, on the flip side, with the girls).
So apart from her honesty surrounding blood which is delivered with no judgement and a desire to hold her husband's hand, and her political position when it came to the succession over which she has no power and must prioritise herself, what is the difference?
But also, because I know you're really talking about Rhaenys GRABBING those boys when Alicent comes at them with a knife (which I adore because Grandma was one look away from going feral), here are gifs and sorry for the ramble <3
