Watched a playthrough of Poppy Playtime chapter 3, and I have thoughts:

First, who the fuck is Ollie??? We never see him. I don't trust him. I honestly have a theory that Ollie is either The Prototype and for some reason the Prototype wants us to reach him (he obviously has no issue killing the other toys, given he murders Catnap), or one of the other big monsters (like the box one from the multiplayer game).

Next, I refuse to believe that Huggie is dead no matter what Poppy says. Not only is Huggie a major mascot and thus, business wise, it'd make a LOT of sense to keep him around for one final obstacle between you and the prototype, but he's the only antagonist who's corpse we do not see. That added to the fact that in Chapter 2 there was a bloody trail and some blue fur leading to a vent and yeah, I don't think Huggie is gone.

And our character... I know it says we are supposed to be a former employee, but by the Gods are we short. XD we are one short motherfucker. Which leads me to theorize something... What if we're not the former employee, but their child? And we look so similar to that person that none of the toys can tell we aren't? It's been a long time, supposedly, so you'd think there'd be no way they could seriously know this is the same person just by looking at them.

Miss Delightful was honestly one of the scariest creatures so far. XD the rest were terrifying, but there's just something uniquely scary about what is supposed to be a teacher, a person dedicated to protecting and teaching children, talking about killing all the children if she knew where they were and choosing to kill us. Tho it is fascinating she gave us the chance to turn around and leave when we first enter the school. It IS also fascinating that seemingly, she didn't take part in the Hour of Joy. She was locked inside the school with the rest of the teachers, which from what I could tell was either during or just after the Hour of Joy (she didn't know where the kids were, which tells me that if she DID take part, it was solely inside the school and for some reason the kids were not there), and became what she is now apparently because of Catnap. Which reveals something uniquely sadistic about the Prototype and his "direct disciples." They literally turned to preying on the other toys as soon as the humans were out of the way. Which makes it clear "the hour of joy" was not just some act of rebellion, they were, as Poppy put it, just killing to kill.

As for what attacked Kissy Missy at the end... I honestly don't think it was the prototype. I think it's gonna be Huggie. Huggie is still unaccounted for and the only antagonist who's corpse we do not see. And I have no doubt he could defeat Kissy, especially if he caught her off-guard (which she would have been at the time).

Who said “I love you” first

I think it'd be Armin. From the boat scene in 131, when Annie asks him why he kept visiting her, he really could've said any number of things that wouldn't technically have been false, like "I wanted to make sure you were okay," or "I wanted to tell you what was happening," but he very clearly says "I wanted to see you, Annie." He was blushing like a ripe tomato, and yet he chose to say the one thing that would leave no room for any doubt as to what his feelings were. Armin doesn't hesitate to express himself through words, and with Annie, I believe he'd only take this a few steps further to tell her clearly that what he carries for her is love, nothing less.

Annie herself would not say "I love you" until a long time after they're comfortably together, I feel. She's been denied love all her love, deprived of it to the extent that Armin's barest hints of care were enough for to cling onto, and so being loved and loving back is all going to be so very new to her. She will express it through her body language, but not in words; not very early on in their relationship anyway.

In the long run, I really think this spoken-aloud form of reaffirmation from Armin would be the most beneficial for Annie. As much as physical touch is her way of seeking security, safety and comfort from him, it's also very crucial to be reminded that yes, the person kissing her and loving her body also really does love her, the way he never forgets to say in words.

Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror

Both maybe! If Armin's the one taking a shower first, then he leaves a little "I <3 U" on the mirror for her to find once he's done. Nevermind the fact that by the time she does find it (say she wakes up late and he's already left), it's all maybe mostly gone and runny around the edges, but she knows he left it there for her, and it makes her feel all warm inside.

What if Annie's the one taking the shower tho? In that case, she's brushing her teeth in front of the washbasin and the mirror, messy haired, sleepy eyed and lethargic. As she works the toothbrush between long yawns, she doodles a cat on the mirror that's steaming up from the hot water she's left running in the tub. Later on, Armin finds this cat when he comes in to shave, and he finds it to be the cutest thing ever. Maybe they name each cat she draws.

Who buys the other cheesy gifts

I have a hc that Annie's really awkward with gift-giving, so while this doesn't translate into "she doesn't pick good gifts", what it does mean is that her gifts are funny, bordering on cute-as-fuck.

Armin is good with gifts. He buys her things she needs, and throws in some flowers, some chocolate, maybe a plushie and a picnic date. He pays attention to what she likes, what she doesn't like, and this generally means Annie's going to get some of the best gifts ever, whether or not his planning and execution goes to shit because he's so nervous about everything being perfect.

So the one giving him cards with cliche quotes and a leather wallet that the seller tells her is a trendsetter with men, are some of the things Annie gets him. Cut the girl some slack. Her gifts don't suck, they're just cheesy. And he finds it so fucking cute how hard she tries.

Who initiated the first kiss

Armin. It's the pounding heartbeats in their chests, synchronizing. It's the static in the air, sparking and tingling. Her wide pale-blue eyes atop blushing cheeks, locked onto his own in baffled surprise, because he's just told her he loves her and she doesn't understand - why her? Why her, of all the other girls? But that's what his heart wants - her - and he's told her as much and all he can do is hope she feels the same.

But she does. She does, he can see it, right there in her eyes, when her gaze drops lower. She feels the same, he can see it, as her lips part, just a bit, ever so slightly he can almost touch her breath. Then she looks up again, searching his eyes.

He sees his chance, he takes it. Because who knows if there'll be another? He kisses her, long, and slow and sweet, until she's kissing him back with the same longing.

*Aherm* Okay, I got carried away. Basically he kisses her first, but the next time he loses his confidence and doesn't, and then because Annie's impatient as hell, she kisses him second.

Who kisses the other awake in the morning

Annie. I hc that she's the early bird while he struggles to wake up in the morning in general, so naturally being up first, she gives him a little peck on the nose or on the lips. Sometimes he's so deep asleep he doesn't stir at all. Sometimes he's half-awake and drags her closer for longer kisses, and the hope of sleeping in late with her. Sometimes she kisses him short and brief, when she's aching from dealing with something she doesn't like and hasn't told him about; other times they are fluttery, airy, open mouthed kisses, offering silent, sweet promises of love and happiness from between her lips.

Who starts tickle fights

Armin. He reaaaaaaaalllllyy likes teasing her. Whether that's because she's scowling to hide her embarrassment, or refusing to tell him what she's finding so funny in the magazine she's reading - he's always got his hands ready to grab her around the middle and invite her into a tickle fight. The thing though, is that Annie's laughter isn't because of his actions--she's NOT ticklish by any means--but because of the whole play-fighting itself. His laughter is infectious, and she can't help but follow with her own giggling until she's snorting at his stupid jokes and bright eyes.

Guess who's ACTUALLY ticklish? Him. Once she gains the upper hand and squirms away to straddle his hips, it's all game over.

So he may be the one starting the fights, but he's not the one winning them.

Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower

Annie. I just find it more in-character for her to blurt out that he's welcome to join her in the shower. Say they've just come back home after a long and tiring muddy hike, and they're so exhausted they might not have the energy to take showers after each other. It's a casual suggestion, quick and without much thought to it, when Annie says, "Join me then. It'll be quicker."

She might've said that, but once they're actually stripping in the bathroom and getting into the hot waters of the bathtub, Annie's the one burning to the tips of her ears. Doesn't help that Armin's lost all his initial embarrassment and inhibitions and is welcoming her to sit between his legs, pulling her back flush against his chest.

The rest belongs in a smut fic.

Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch

Annie. Armin forgets to eat, especially when he's drowning to his neck in documents piling up on his table at work. He's studying up for a meeting on his morning transit, signing off agendas and rescheduling appointments, making six dozen phone calls, holding talks with important people... ugh. He has barely any time to breathe, so his eating habits at work are basically non-existent. During such times when things are more hectic than usual, and it's often a familiar sight to find him coming home with a loosened tie and exhaustion on his face, Annie's the one heading to his workplace with lunch and coffee in her arms. She makes sure he eats, and also eats her own lunch with him, so he's kept company by the only person he can be his silly, goofy self around.

Who was nervous and shy on the first date

I'm inclined to say both, it's just that Armin would express it more openly than Annie would. What Armin would be fretting and worrying about is how perfectly the date is going, how smoothly his plans are working out, and so on. He'd be so bothered about every teeny tiny detail and Annie's enjoyment that he wouldn't really be able to relax and enjoy it himself.

Annie on the other hand, would be nervous and scared about disappointing him. It would warm her heart how he sweetly switches to her more exposed side as they're walking down the street, but it also worries her about how expressive she's being, or rather, how much she's lacking in that respect. Disappointing Armin is probably her biggest fear.

Who kills/takes out the spiders

Annie. Armin hesitates too much. He looks at the mama spider, looks at her eggs, looks at her babies, thinks of the consequences, thinks of their extended families and their ancestors, their futures, their pasts, their presents, and so on and so forth. It's been six hours and he's ignoring the spider in the bathroom because he's conflicted over killing them.

Annie would kill them (she doesn't like bugs), but because she knows it'll break his heart, she traps them in a special plastic cup she keeps for the spiders and lets them out somewhere far away.

Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk

Armin. Even sober, he's always running to give her a big hug with a stupid wide smile on his face, going "Aaaanniiieeeee!!". The happiest golden retriever in the world. Now get that golden retriever drunk to his eyeballs and he won't fucking shut up about how beautiful she is, how big her heart is, how soft she is, how her eyes are like the sky and the sea and other fantastic imagery. He tells her he wants to marry her (even if they're already married), and how he wants to wake up to her presence everyday. In a crowd, it's fucking embarrassing for Annie. Secretly though? She loves it. Replays it in her head over and over again.

Holy, I just saw myrid Celestia so here's a bit of rambling and a silly theory :

As we learned from HI3, honkai is a phenomenon that happens to civilizations as they grow advanced, it's basically a system in the imaginary tree, in theory, all worlds should be a target to the honkai, and each world may name it a different way.

So far everyone agrees that Acheron did come from a world very similar to HI3, some think there's 2 eras too but based on the caption saying "the dual planets were intertwined in each other's tragic destiny" I'll assume they were, well, dual planets.

//"Kevin" says that takamagahara is the one that fell first, and Izumo created the blades, but if we go by prev era then takamagahara didn't serve the same purpose as HI3, and the current era has been the one to do everything, except if it wasn't explicitly said that the herrschers were slayed in PE and only now did Izumo use them to forge the blades//

Izumo was plagued by the honkai, won against the herrschers and took their powers, creating weapons (blades) out of them, each representing the 12 herrschers powers that are later wielded by the flamechasers, who in the end, were defeated, and the blades were broken. It seems like unlike HI3 Acheron was a flamechaser, presumably along with Kevin.

So then, the last blades were Forged, the origin and the end, Acheron being the origin did break the end. And that should've been the end of the honkai, it didn't end there, because honkai alone was no longer the threat to izumo.

I think it's pretty deductable from the trailer but just in case: spoiler for acheron's identity

At the very end, she stood under a sky with a black sun (dark hole) , she says "we long since strode in THEIR Shadows" as the last blade gets forged "naught" , and her form changes.

Is that not...when she becomes nihility's emenator?

Would that black hole not be IX's? Would Izumo not be under IX's governance after all has happened?

The last thing acheron does was, slash IX.

That black sun, ix, has always been there from the beginning of the trailer, meaning that, it's not that the despair drew IX, but it's IX who rendered the dual planets efforts useless. You know it's true when even Kevin says that salvation isn't possible.

The pioneer diver of dead waters, a relic set that talks abt Acheron, we know that's true because the flower motif is the same as acheron's. it talks Abt a nameless who was her friend, her goal was to dive in IX, knowing that it's lethal but believing that the journey matters more than her upcoming end.

Acheron's LC's description basically confirms one thing, Acheron acts as a guide to those lost in nihility in an in-between place (existence and nothingness), that very much could be inside IX, since it's a popular sci-fi theory that black holes lead to other dimensions/worlds.

Her LC quotes her friend, in saying that Acheron still has a lot of paths and choices to take before she reaches the end. I'd say that that's proof her friend left a mark on her.

From all of these we can theorize that acheron's current goal could very well be to kill IX, she has the motive to do so after all.

I sadly can't find izumo's ornament story anymore so I can't add more to this xd

What personally peaked my interest is, the existence of IX throughout izumo. Considering HSR to be the higher world, I just recently joked Abt how hooh is cooking With creating the honkai as it's logically under their authority. And that very much can be still be true, but so far, for a world that's supposedly much more advanced such as hsr's, we haven't even heard of a honkai phenomenal. There were early theories that khaenriaah's destruction was means to stop them from attracting honkai into teyvat, Even tho by HI3 standards teyvat isn't developed at all (heck they have every source of energy except electricity), soooo can we blame hi3's inconsistent writing or is their understanding not correct?

I just think it would be interesting that IX's influence might give rise to honkai, as it's basically a death sentence to a world, the faster finality came, the more aligned the world is with IX.

Speaking of which I've also talked Abt how IX is most linked to the path of finality, so there's that

Lucifer would for SURE have that insecurity. Pulling away? Not wanting to make the first step towards communication? Feeling out of place and like he doesn't belong? I bet the other's would catch on and they'd all develop their own approaches into encouraging Lucifer out of his depression cave, so to speak.

Alastor would probably annoy him out of it but if that didn't work would probably ask Rosie or Lilith for help? He's got a reputation as the Unflappable Radio Demon to uphold (headcanon: Alastor is awkward with emotions and doesn't quite know what to do so he sorta.. either doesn't say anything when he has to deal with emotions with others or is snarky because he at least knows how to do that. He develops his own way of showing appreciation and comfort though)

Alastor and Rosie ABSOLUTELY would have gossip sessions. Lilith might join in just to hear the updates about some big drama (ugh Susan) and offer tea and biscuits or something? Lucifer popping in with a snarky comment but wanting to just sit back and enjoy their company is sweet!

I could see Rosie's insecurity maybe coming from wanting to help everyone and feeling sorta guilty that she isn't in cannibal town there to help 24/8? Like, she might get worried that she'll miss something or something could happen to the town while she's gone?

Lilith uhhh. Maybe she feels out of place? The rest either did something to piss off god (lucifer) or actively earned their spot in hell, meanwhile she just.. didn't want to be a servant to an asshole of a man. Like, absolutely fair but probably doesn't feel equivalent to literally gifting humanity freewill and whatever Al and Rosie were up to. She's in between a fallen angel and human but didn't really live the life of either?

Charlie would be SO supportive and Alastor would take such joy in flexing that he has some of/literally the most powerful demons on "his side" (they love him despite being showy sometimes).

Maybe there'd be some tension between Luficer and Alastor because Al is more like the stereotypical devil than Lucifer is?

They're all so silly and quirky and have such potential xD honestly relationship goals tho? In a polycule (queer platonic, in my case) where everyone can get along in different ways and support each other and be comfortable being themselves?? Goals xD

Oh I absolutely believe being geniunely open and vulnerable is extremely hard to Alastor! His smiles and sharp behaviour is not just a mask but a protective comfortable layer! And even if he tries to be more close it's still the default that is hard to pass by. I believe he can muster something actually real if the other person will be so crushed they aren't reacting to anything else anymore!!

Honestly Rosie and Alastor are a nice tag team xD He deals with the depressed king when he is too inside of his head, he can be manhandled by Alastor xD And when he is actually responsive, Rosie can step in and gently reassure him. And Lilith will give this 'do you love us? respect us? we would never stay with someone we dont care about and you know it'. This harsh love xD

I really like how in terms of dealing with stress and trauma Alastor pushes forward and Lucifer pulls away😭

I've read Rosie likes cooking! Like Al!! Imagine them preparing food for private lunches! I hc Lucifer is a decent cook, but there is not point in trying when these two are amazing XD And Lilith can watch over and make sure they aren't slipping something more fleshy XD So in the end they just sit there and Rosie gives all the hot goss with Alastor and Lilith joining in and Lucifer chilling while following their conversations and occasionally commenting <3

I don't know with Lilith. It seems she got all she wanted: got away from Adam, got an awesome new home where she 'thrived'. I do wonder if she is... vengeful? SHE got it all good, but her husband was crushed and he never properly recovered. She might be furious with Heaven for this. And for exterminations.

Oh Alastor is truly an attention seeker, he would always flex his partners in public(but never be actually intimate with them because it is for HIM to see only!)

It may be at the beginning? But it would be fun if Lucifer will actually use Alastor's scariness xD Oh you want a scary devil? I can give you something scary xD And Alastor enjoys it, intimidating and jumping people is his favourite type of fun xD

if you've watched Gravity Falls, how do you think a crossover with Invader Zim would be? Would Dib try to summon Bill Cipher to catch Zim? How would that backfire? Zim maybe follows Dib to Gravity Falls. Also, I think maybe unlike Dib, Dipper and Mabel would like to befriend Zim even if he's an alien, tho' Zim would push them away or be scared of they knowing he's an alien, while Zim denies everything and Dib tries to expose him; also Mabel being friendly with everyone and maybe the voice of reason (because she's neither straight nor a man xD), Ford being the father wishes he had also maybe Dib venting to Dipper how Dipper and Mabel are better siblings than him and Gaz. Also that crashed UFO. I can see both Dib AND Zim wanting to explore that place. Dib because it’s a crashed alien ship and Zim because he knows how rare alien life is in this part of the galaxy and he wants to know what exactly came here. Ending with Dipper forced to leave, because I think he'd love to stay in a place so full of paranormal, but he can at least get a way to stay in contact with Dipper (as a treat) and he finally gets a human friend by his age. Sorry for yapping too much.

I think IZ and GF have different rules in play. In IZ, everyone is terminally stupid except Dib and no one's allowed to see through Zim except for him. But in GF, nobody's as stupid as the average Zim character, and plenty of people are allowed to recognize and admit that the paranormal exists. Dipper is basically the Dib of his universe, so it'd be really OOC for him to either not see that Zim is an alien or not believe Dib about him being a hostile alien.

I could see a scenario where Dib knows Zim is at GF, but hasn't found him yet, bumps into Dipper, they hit it off and he believes Dib about Zim. Meanwhile, Zim runs into Mabel. She recognizes that he's an alien immediately, but Zim pretends to be benevolent and she buys it and he becomes her new Crush of the Week. She doesn't believe Dipper and Dib when they finally meet up to warn her about Zim, because she's been with him all day and he's been "nothing but a perfect gentlemen". But then Zim inevitably shows his true colors and Mabel gets her heart broken once again, but then she switches to Dib as the target of her affections after seeing the way he handled that alien jerk who lied and messed with her feelings.

Dib, upon meeting Bill absolutely would fail to heed Dipper's warnings because he overestimates how much of a threat Zim is and his own ability to outsmart Bill.

Because GF's world is softer than IZ's and we're playing by their rules since the story's taking place on their turf, the ending wouldn't be super harsh on Dib. Dipper and Mabel would save him and he'd feel like an ass for not listening to Dipper after Dipper was the first person to ever listen to him. But Dipper would forgive him, recognizing that he was just desperate to stop Zim and thought he was doing the right thing. Overall, Dib would really enjoy his time in GF, but knows he can't stay there because duty calls him to return to his city to keep watch over Zim, but maybe he dreams of moving there after he graduates because it's basically his idea of paradise.

Need to take a moment to percolate on Rakha's emotional hook here right now because I feel like I haven't solidified it yet. I'm really trying to lean into the idea that she really does remember nothing - she's surprised at her own magic, willing to believe she and Lae'zel could be the same race, doesn't remember her own face, and isn't entirely confident the whole world isn't like this terrible ship. Which is fun, but it's making it a little complicated to find an emotional throughline, which I want so I can get attached to her and have all the feels. XD

So... some ponderings as we move towards getting Shadowheart:

She's scared, certainly, and violently angry for reasons she doesn't fully understand. The vibe I'm getting is kind of in the realm of 'kicked dog'; she's ready to lash out at anything unfamiliar, but EVERYTHING is unfamiliar right now, and any other potential personality is getting pretty much smothered under that fact for now. She only hasn't killed Lae'zel because Lae'zel managed to provide an anchor point of absolute confidence during the time when Rakha was too bewildered to strike.

I just now got to Shadowheart's pod and the Arcana check that a sorcerer gets to detect the magic connecting the pod to the console, and have been sitting here for a moment pondering on why Rakha would stop to help her when both her own instincts and Lae'zel are telling her to gtfo.

The answer that I'm coming up with is that she's fascinated by the magic itself - both her own magic and that in the world around her. As a sorcerer, it seems, she has a certain innate sense of its presence ("Warding runes - you feel them drawing energy from the console near to the pod.") and I think it probably stands out as an interesting contrast to the only other things she is feeling which are fear and rage.

She's also striking me as having a very analytical mind (cf. the 'listing of facts' in the first post, analyzing Lae'zel's characteristics, etc.) and likes knowing how things work, despite her INT not being numerically very high; focusing on the Cold Hard Facts is a reasonable default when the only emotions making themselves known are negative ones.

So - obviously this can and likely will change over time but my initial impression is of a magical prodigy, instinctively drawn to any connection with the Weave she encounters, constantly taking in the world around her and trying to understand it - and constantly ready to lash out at anything that threatens or angers her (or anything she doesn't know) with a level of instantaneous rage that she doesn't understand.

OK, I feel better for having rambled that out. XD We'll see how it holds up in the long run.

With all that in mind...

Rakha is absolutely AGITATING Lae'zel by stopping to figure out how to open the pod. And agitating herself, in truth. They need to keep moving. The answers will be on the bridge, not here.

But the undulating force of that warding magic is compelling; it tastes familiar, like safety. She wants to see where the connection lies, manipulate it, communicate with it.

She examines the console carefully; her fingertips flick in an automatic motion, instinctive renderings of symbols taken from within the magic's own pulse.

[SORCERER] Inscribe the device with the glyphs you sensed from the pod's warding runes.

Narrator: The console hums to life.

A smile, for the first time since she woke up. Just the hint of one. Good. That was good.

[ARCANA] Take a closer look at the powered-up console.

Narrator: Nothing in the appearance of the device betrays its purpose. It could do anything.

She sets her jaw angrily, slams her hand down against the button as much in irritation as intention.

Place your hand on the console.

Narrator: Suddenly you feel a hideous squirming in your head. The parasite. Then discomfort fades... and another sensation washes over you. Connection. Authority...

Authority. Yes. It feels natural, it feels right, in the same way that it felt right to inscribe those runes a moment ago. And what else does she have to go on?

Narrator: You feel the biomechanical brain of the console process your command... and yield to it. A shiver runs across your mind. You feel... sated...

"Ha--ahh..." she grunts, her head drawing back, pulling away from the connection with the console. Lae'zel is watching her with an irritated expression.

Rakha scowls at her. Do not look at me like that. It called to me and I answered. "Let us get the girl and go," she mutters.

Aside from the kiddos, I don’t remember if the character ages were mentioned. It’s obvious that Randy is well established as an adult (you don’t exactly get to working with important biological research until you’ve got those Big Degrees), and the stress of Akoya’s postpartum coma pre-Mewification probably visibly aged his human self a bit, but I’m not fully sure how old his is at present or how old he was when he was Mewified. And the Mews operate at a different “clock” than humans since they rapidly mature to adulthood in only a few years but stay in their prime for a long duration of time, so maybe chronologic (exact time) vs physical (as in health, mentality, etc.) ages would make more sense for them? (If the ages to be revealed later in the story tho it’s okay I’ll be patient).

No, I haven't mentioned the adults ages publicly yet. I was waiting 'til someone asked, mostly because It doesn't really matter to the story aside from viewer curiosity. Or maybe it does, I don't know. Either way, buckle up! Time for a big ol' dump of character lore~. XD

Randy is 37, and was 29 (creepin' on 30) when he became a Mew. His birthday is August 11th. He was taken on as a sort of intern somewhere in his twenties, well known for his obsession with Mews. (I know that I've told at least one person privately that he's 38, but I'm backpedaling on that. He's 37 now.)

Akoya and Persim are a little harder to place because they were born in the wild with no calendar dates, so they have no noted birthdays. They are both in their early twenties, with Perzi being about half a year younger than Akoya. (Semi-related, when Randy first went to Akoya's island, he was 15 and she was about 1-and-a-half. Perzi was about 1 and was hiding from the humans, so he didn't meet Randy back then.)

And just because I like rounding it out; Lav is currently eight; her birthday is May 6th. The twins are three-and-a-half weeks as of this post; their birthday is February 28th.

Aaand, because I'm me and have WAY too much fun with this kind of stuff, I made a (probably unnecessary but still fun to make) chart.

EDIT: I made a boo-boo with the chart before. While mentally Lav is child-going-on-teen, physically she is actually barely an adult.

As a side note, I imagine it's possible for Mews to somewhat manipulate their age appearance, kinda like how Steven can in that one early episode of Steven Universe. Like, as a sub-skill of Transform. Generally though, their appearance takes the form of what they believe or feel they are.

There is an age-related thing that'll be expanded on later, but for now this is what we'll know.

H-honestly, I like this direction for him! I was expecting something pretty similar from the intro- a guy who "lost his will to dream"- but I was also expecting a bit more of an ego on him, cuz he's the sin of pride.....but no, he actually seems a bit....I-I wouldn't say insecure, cuz he never puts himself down on screen, but he's obviously got no hope in his people cuz he's only ever been exposed to the evil and not the good. He....FEELS downtrodden. But no, definitely still a good person. So, I like....half called it....?

M-Mimzy's pretty cool.....I pretty much guessed that she and Alastor were friends from life. Hearing Spinel's voice out of her is REALLY weird, tho.....T-tell 2019 me that Spinel's VA was gonna be in Hazbin playing one of Alastor's friends and....I-I would've exploded.....X/////D

The songs weren't.....AS good as they have been in previous episodes, at least on first listen. I do like things about both tho. I flipping love how Alastor spends the first song still deliberately trying to piss off the fallen angel in the room like- H-he doesn't even c-care-! (H-him talking about Charlie before the song, too, and- didhereallyliftherchin!?!?! HELP-) I really love his and Lucifer's dynamic already. It's fun. X/////D

And the second song.....I-I can't believe I'm saying this when the first one had Alastor, but on first listen at least, I liked the second one a bit more as a song....? Lucifer admitting that he doesn't want Charlie to go because she's all he has left....man, poor guy....Hazbin's ballads have been GREAT so far, between this and "Whatever It Takes".

2 Favorite canon thing about this character?

ahhh this one is gonna be so hard to think of. I mean in like all 3 cases it's "their personality" but XD Trying to get more specific than that

Damian: the gradual-ness of his character arc and how realistic his reaction to suddenly being asked to change how he does everything is written. Damian changes his behavior (no longer killing people) long before he changes his beliefs (it's OK to kill some people). We also see how he understandably cares about saving civilians long before he cares about preserving villains lives which makes sense both from a 'duh' perspective and from a 'logically damian would be raised to believe that he's saving the world' perspective.

I also like the general rough edges his character has, like even long after he's become very conventionally 'moral' I guess (like in Robin: Son of batman where he's like undeniably heroic and trying to make up for every bad thing he did) he still doesn't come across as super conventionally 'nice'.

Babs:

Her self isolation and bad-decision making tendencies have me captivated.

ok /j but :P I love how independent she is and how she responds to trauma and how we see her incredibly reluctant to reach out to people around her. I love when she approaches problems from a nexus of control even though she would hate it if people approached her problems from that POV.

She's a fun character who often does make missteps in her personal relationships but nevertheless always tries to correct them

Cassandra:

Cass I love her perfectionism and the way she approaches her problems. even though I mentioned in Damian's answer that I loved how gradual his character arc and un-learning assassin stuff was, I also love how sudden Cass leaving Cain was*. It works completely for her characterization.

Then the way she approaches her problem (of having killed someone) is completely all-in cass-y. Cass is trying to grapple with what she did as a child (and I saw some really convincing meta about how the guilt she felt from killing the guy was not necessarily due to seeing his pain, as she'd seen pain before, but due to not understanding his death, i'll dig it up soon: EDIT FOUND IT (link)). Her thing is very simple: she killed someone so she deserves to die. She won't kill herself, but she has very little regard for her own life and is perfectly fine going out saving people. and the way she approaches her guilt pre her Shiva arc often goes from a kind of projecting on people I think (where she projects her own guilt on the guy she breaks out of death row when the mother of his victim approaches her, she gives him back to go to his death, she returns a kid to her mom who is exploiting for her talents rather than her criminal father who loves her) and then when she's dealt with her own guilt she can address people in a way that does not quite have that specter of guilt hanging over her.

*tho important note: I don't think that Cass leaving Cain was her character arc, it's a backstory detail

4: f you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?

I would put them all in a well-adapted live action movie so more people know about them :P Unless this is like straight up drop them into an already existing fictional universe, it's unclear. Like I like thinking of a 'Batfam as Jedi' AU for one tumblr post for example, but I don't really care enough about 'characters in alternate universe' to need to see it in a fully developed story. A lot of what makes them unique and fun is specific to the universe.

Cass: forgetting she exists, having her there to just prop up Tim or Jason (Jason ???????), diminishing her competence to prop up some batboy and act like they can easily 'hack' her abilities.

Babs: babsgirl stuff. also people who remember with perfect clarity every jerk thing she hdid and use it against her t osay she's a terrible person (instead of just like. a realistic person with flaws) but conveniently ignore when their favorite batboy did similar things, oftentimes without even trying to make amends.

He'll just have to seduce them into being unable to resist him. Go slow and meticulously enough to get the MC to a point where they can't think AT ALL. 😏

Straasa would be concerned and would want to talk through everything with the MC. Work with them to show them how worthy they are of everything. Would not initiate any lovemaking anymore and would be perfectly content to just snuggle with his MC forever. He'd prefer to stay non-sexual for the rest of their lives instead of being the only one to get attention.

Daelynn would be devastated. Besides the fact that she loves pleasuring her MC, she would think it's her fault that the MC feels like that. Would start trying to compliment them and reassure them and find ways to show them that they are her world. Personality: i guess i should start with the generic MBTI? i’m either an INTP or INFP, depending on my mood – i’ve also been mistaken for an extrovert plenty of times, so there’s that ;w;

when i’m meeting new people, i’m pretty friendly, and i make friends with mANY different types of people. i’m perfectly fine with the idea of talking with strangers on a day to day basis, so i’m fairly confident in that regard. i do get tired easily, tho, in a social settling.

i don’t tend to talk more when i make friends with someone? i make more jokes, sure, and i speak a little more freely, but, in general, i think i talk less when i’m around my friends. not because i feel like i can’t express my thoughts; i just prefer to listen, rather than talk. not to say we don’t have chaotic moments together, i’m just. yeah, a listener XD

i’ve been told that i’m very easy to open up to. i try my best to make whoever it is i’m talking to, comfortable and heard – and i do pride myself on being a nonjudgemental person – so it makes sense.

i’m pretty cheerful! i don’t get upset very easily, and i’m very easy-going. like, i don’t think i’v ever had a fight with friends. i’m very much the mediator, if i’m even involved in any drama (VERY rare). although, i’m a bit more subdued around my family, i’m also the same around them.

i’m VERY empathetic, but i don’t come across as that, because i’m not a very emotional person (usually a stereotype of empathetic people). i feel a lot, but i regulate them well and don’t express much. i worry a lot about other people, probably a little too much, actually, and, in that, i tend to ignore my own problems.

to deal with the stress, i take care of other people? like, i’ll cook dinner, send messages, send care packages, that sort of thing? my love language is CLEARLY acts of service and/or gift giving. i just prefer doing things for people, rather than people having do things for me; i feel very awkward about it (not that i don’t appreciate it!! i just don’t know what to do TwT). i’d love for physical affection to be one of my love languages, tho!! i’m working on it (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

Adventure time is in my brain so much now-

I'm round mid season 5 rn buuuuuut already started theory crafting and au incorporating one of my peeps

I'd think that this universe would come about from the wish "I wish Simon never found the crown" and thus someone else replaces his biz

Simon and Betty don't get into that absolute batshit, tho I'm sure they'd still have some shenanigans in their years lolz. But ye, it works p well for them, they deserve chill vibe time-

Base amory is always obsessed with magic, so it was perfect to translate to this. He would love Simon's books and study antiquarian stuff on the side of his chemistry science nerd degree. And when Betty and Simon can't find the crown, amory with his stubborn ass would find it a perfect way of proving his metal to retrieve it where a famous person couldn't lolz. He always feels like he has something to prove, which manifests in his reckless determination and stubbornness. His goal was to prove the existence of magic and theorized the artifacts were tools and a map to determining the code to spells with your own hands. His dad always thought it was absolutely stupid, that he was wasting his potential on silly fantasies, daddy-o wasn't a fan of Simon either when amory would talk about a lecture of his. Amory's dad is kinda like, take Marcy's dad, and remove the goofy cray cray, he's kinda jus a gruff and generally aggressive ass. Abusive in many flavors and imprinted a lot of the trauma response behaviors in amory.

(I'm tryna summarize best I can but omyglob-)

The gal on the bottom right was amory's fiance, who didn't know much bout this stuff but tried to support him, yet something didn't sit right with her about seeking objects like those that are buried away. Amory was wrapped up in his head and didn't listen, which leads to kirona leaving, as she couldn't deal with his progressively worse obsessive behavior, especially after he found the crown and put it on. He did not keep it together with the crowns effects, and nearly hurt kirona before she managed to land hitting the crown off his head. He was so engulfed in what he saw that he didn't even hear her when in her high adrenaline state was scolding him. When kirona tried to take the crown to get it away, he reached out to take it back which made her more angry. High emotion time and all that she rushed out from the apartment.

Amory tried to show the crown off as proof of his theories, that he just needed to study it more. They didn't believe what he told them of it, so in his frustration he put it on to show them, trying to keep it together this time, but it went a bit crazy with him freezing some peeps and getting in ppls face hah.

His deal is that he totally is like, "itsfineitafineitsfine-" thinking he totally has it all under control, that he can figure it out.

Over the years, he thinks he's found a way to stifle the madness to get a clearer head. In his chaotic potion making, made a sort of toh eda elixir. It helps but doesn't fix fix it, and he'll start growing a tolerance so he keeps changing it and trying to figure out other ways. So he's kinda in between ice king and winter king in sanity lol

Instead of capturing princesses like ice king, glacier king (amory) tricks wizards into signing a contract to basically give their body to science, door to door business bich in the wizard City lmao, jus like I got ✨free healthcare✨ XD also collects various creatures of ooo to study mutations and differences between how the natural creatures are and hexed creatures. Glacier would also be fascinated by bubblegum for her own mad scientist side lol. He would a hundred percent steal her candy people making instructions or randomly bug her for tips or share his own.

Finn and Jake would be a nuisance cuz y'know they'd sabotage his hostage lab rats biz, but after getting over that he'd find it kind of amusing and a cut between the cycle he's been in. So later in the show would study them lol not entirely sure how all the parts would work- but that's most of what I got so far

I'm disabled personally and I really like how you tackled disability and ableism so far. Dabi compensating with his leg is really cool and the fact that he has to hide it or he'll be judge by his hollow barrier pair I'd verry nice (plot storywise I mean XD) as a disabled person I do feel like a fucking burden everywhere I go and with how dabi was 'sheltered' (if you can say that) he would be very easily manipulated by afo telling him he needs to contribute to the reef and all that. Kind of in contradiction of what Tomura said about no one being broken hmmmmm 👀 (watching you afo 👁️👁️) while I agree that doing nothing all day and being a trophy husband/mate can be boring, dabi just got here, is still learning the language and he's disabled!
