I get this question a lot <XD When I was first designing my sona I wanted to add something to their hands. At the time my hands were covered in Band-Aids from dry skin and cat scratches. So I thought "Hey! Bandaged/bloody hands would be cool and edgy :DD" So I added them <XDD

Oh yeah, that episode was a bit odd huh? XD I think in my version of Octonauts they didn't go all the way down to its stomach- maybe just into the mouth and got the Puffer fish out.

Now the REAL episode that I basically 100% cut is the cone snail episode. You know why? Cone snails are estimated to have poison strong enough to kill 700 people! And there's NO antidote!! NO ONE would have survived being stung. Not even the Captain. They all would have died and left Peso abandoned on a ship full of the bodies of his friends in the middle of the ocean... :x pretty dark huh-

The basis for my Kirby Anime AU is I just found a way to add all the Metaknights to the story. You know, Axe knight, Mace night, Javelin Knight,,, etc.

This is obviously a SUPER angsty AU. For example, Axe Knight was Metaknight's first follower and best friend. But then he sacrificed himself to save Metaknight. Thinking he failed his soul was restless and he now wanders the galaxy fighting Monsters and honoring Metaknights name.. Not knowing that Metaknight survived. Its a REALLY long story that I should ramble about sometime XDD

I would advise against it,, there are plenty of good reaction images out there to find! I should know, I have 996 of them saved! I'm almost at 1000! XDD

Norman is a totally normal boy with a completely normal family. Hes an only child so its just him, his mom and dad. They love him dearly and try their best to raise him correctly. Normal right? The only thing not normal about his family is him which is weird because his name is "Normal" with an N instead of an L. Yeah I lied when I said he was normal.

Norman has a little frog under his hat named Froggo. He loves reptiles a lot but loves frogs the most which is why his hat resembles a lilly pad. He will not believe frogs are not reptiles and no matter how many facts you throw at him he will likely call you gay at the end of it. If he likes you he will talk endlessly about frogs and/or reptiles and he wont stop unless something trivial catches his attention. If he doesnt like you he quite literally will not speak to you at all.

Because of his he believes in a frog god. Why does he hate the bible? Because it, and I quote, "made the snake a bad guy. Snakes are cool maybe he just wanted eve to be healthy. The bible is gay."

Apologies if i'm being a bit slow, but why is Kojin becoming famous a bad thing?

Im going to assume you weren't there during the whole "fnf x sonic.exe mixup" era, where most of the popularity of exes came from and for fnf. Kojin and Axell were made around that time

During those times quite a hanful of shitty people were called out on the regular mainly for uh, incorrect behaviour around minors while they worked on their mods, or generally in their discord servers and such, and even to this day people still do shit like sexualizing canonically minor characters such as (soul) Tails, Hog, Sunky thought he's ageless in canon, etc etc (like serious, even if they didnt had especific ages- why do u see em that way)

And man, i really dont wanna come across art of that kind of my own little guys, specially Kojin since you know, he means a lot to me; all my creations mean a lot to me, but hes a kid, i dont wanna risk ppl getting too comfortable drawing nasty shit of him cuz he's famous and known alongside other exes, cuz idk i guess some dont have that kinda self restraint.

i guess i dont want my little guy to reach so far it gets to the eyes of the nasty freaks (in a derrogative sense) i would prefer a thousand times for Axell and Skintaker to be in the public eye, and if ppl do stuff of em i wont care much really unless its some serious weird shit

Anyway yes I usually make a very light sketch with my pencil so that I could erase it easily for me to retrace it but I am here to make a very important public announcement and I feel that it is my duty to inform the public on something that could be beneficial to the society.

Behold: Kneading Eraser

This fucker have multiple names; Putty eraser, gummy eraser, kneaded eraser,clay. It's going through a phase, please don't judge it, let it change name every 10 seconds.

What I need is that I want everyone to put everything down and listen to what I say: You run to the art store, Michael's, Art Friend, soup store, whatever store you get your art supply at. You ask the store clerk you want a putty eraser and if they dont give you a putty eraser, tell them they're a loser in malay (it's mak kau hijau. The more your learn folks) and then go to the next store and find a putty eraser until you get them. Its not expensive, it cost me less than 2 bucks for 1 pack of putty eraser.

Why you may ask? Well, I can assure you as someone who draws, putty eraser is much much MUCH better than a normal generic eraser.

First of all, there's no dust. When you erase a line with this boy, there wont be any rubber shit nugget clumping on the table and making a mess on your bed (i know you hate your spine too and likes to draw on bed i live in ur walls u guys better sleep with 1 eye open). I'm so serious like I have 0 eraser shavings in my house since I use a putty eraser. Please stop sleeping covered in eraser shavings.

It's also malleable. You can literally shape it to whatever shape that you want so you could erase a a tiny spot that you couldn't reach without disturbing other lines. And it works sooooo well as a stress ball or a toy. People actually knead it into animal shape. Can you shape a normal rectangle eraser into a giraffe? CAN YOU? DO YOU SEE MY POINT?

Do you suffer from loneliness? Do you need a conversation opener? Are you tired of kneading an eraser to shape it into a friend? Believe it or not, putty eraser is a great conversation starter when you dont want to start a conversation! As a personal anecdote: whenever I sketch in school, if anyone I know sees me sketching, they will always ask me what the fuck is the clay thing I use to erase my lines and then I have to explain to them what is a kneadable eraser and then whenever I demo'd the eraser, an amusing OOOOOOO will come out and they will play with my eraser for like 5 mins. Am I mad that my eraser is taken away? No because the eraser can also be s e p e r a t e d . Black magic fuckery. Please go buy a putty eraser.

Anyway for the pencil, I swear to god if you ever get this pencil, you will never use a normal mechanical pencil ever again.

The pencil I'm using is called a drafting pencil, specifically Pentel Graphgear 500. There's tons of drafting pencil in the market but just look at this one because other's are expensive and you will cry. This pencil had a plastic body but the base is made of metal so its pretty heavy. It feels v e r y c o m f o r t a b l e on the hand, like the moment you hold it, you will believe that this is how mechanical pencil suppose to be. It just fits so perfectly with the contour of you finger. The weight feels so nice on your hands and the grip is very comfortable. The pencil sleeve also doesnt budge so you don't and won't have any issue of lead breakage (unless you press your pencil really hard)

It's also very long-lasting. I have 2 of them in my pencil case. The one on the left were bought in 2021 from Muji. The one on the right were bought in 2015. It still works fine despite being 8 years old. I don't think I ever have any mechanical pencil that is long lasting like this one. This is legit one of the product that I would say would last a lifetime if you take care of it well.

wait you HATED sweet pool omg. its my least fave out of the n+c releases ive read so far mainly for how flat the characters felt to me and how clumsy a lot of the plot felt but i rlly loved the aesthetic/general vibe it had so thats rlly interesting to me,if ur up for it id love to know what didnt click for u ^_^

when i judge how bad a VN is with my brother (avid VN reader as well) we use Sweet Pool as a basically "zero" on the scale of professional, large VNs.

Sweet Pool's writing was WEIRD. I can do some weird, thats fine. Weird ass-birth stillborn meatslugs? ... okay, ill... look past that. ok i wont lie, the constant ass-birth was hard for me. i really did try to not judge it on that but like, there was almost constant buttbirth going on. ive made peace with this by now, kinda making a link to myself about the connections of it to being an unintentional trans narrative in many ways and all but like. it was WEIRD. and kinda hard to read. it didnt strike me as horror, it struck me as "weird fetish i have to sit through. oh my god is he licking tha- PUT IT DOWN Z-DAWG. Ok christ."

The characters were also weird. I laughed out loud in surprise at how stupid the "i saved you from being raped <3 SO I CAN RAPE YOU, PSYCH!" scene was. like wtf was that??????

i did not enjoy the art style, i think its the ugliest N+C art style yet and since. not my thing. many angles and proportions look weird. the CGs looked stiff and uninspired. it NEVER grew on me. no shade to people who liked it or the artist it just.. wasnt my thing. not unbearable but just. not. as good as it could have been and def took away from the experience.

i didnt like any of the endings. it wasnt scary it was weird. the pacing was weird. for being a BL, it had very little love just... wtf. and im so sad abt what they did to mikoto bc i liked him before uuuUuUuUu yandere plot twwwwist. bleh.... dollar store keisuke! they would FORCE the true end so you maybe go, "maybe the true end is satisfying and good an-" no. its not. fuck yoU!

sweet pool was painful. i dont know how else to put my experience. i 100%d it because i 100% everything when i can, and i was literally pushing through like a hiker in a snow storm to finish it. every 3 seconds was secondhand embarrassment. the "jerking off in the classroom" scene comes to mind. i got up and took a break for that one because it was just unbearable. idk how anyone could slap one out to this vn. im not sure if anyone ever has. which makes the sex weird. actually, i dont think there was a single consensual ero scene unless u count the true end fusion scene.

the aesthetic/vibe was... ehhh... not super unique IMO. school setting immediately put me off, a more gritty and cool toned, dark palate made things interesting but, its still a "weird thing happens in high school" story. kinda bored to death of HS settings in VNs.

i did like the protag tho! he was interesting and it was nice having a chronically ill protag even if it was just a plot device to make him be able to miss school while going on a... dark apartment birth marathon.

sweet pool felt like a bizarre, amateur fanfiction for a fetish i dont have.

the soundtrack is very memorable as well as the opening pre-game sequence, i liked the concept of the choice button meanings, but they were very rough in actual use.

this is my favorite CG i appreciate the aquarium set up instead of a fish bowl (though he could do better...)

the thing about mikoto of milgram fame is that hes like. okay. so theres a lot that cant be said about him yet because his 2nd trial hasnt released and wont be for quite a while and his music video and interrogation only tell us so much. but what they DO tell us is um. enough to say some things if he answered his interrogation questions honestly, we know he has a younger sister he brags about, his parents are divorced and his father isnt involved in their lives. in regards to his mother, he says that “she raised me. i cant let her worry.” he downplays his own interests/hobbies a lot. he said he played baseball in high school but that he wasnt good at it; he went to an art school but did so in order to go into business (though design was related to his chosen company) and says that he likes drawing but, again, isnt good at it. he says he hates working late nights but we see him pulling an all nighter at work in ‘undercover’. when asked why hes working his current job, he says he worked incredibly hard to even get hired, so its something to be proud of. finally, when asked if he ever gets angry, he says he doesnt. he says, “i dont think ive ever gotten angry before. isnt it disgraceful to get angry?” theres also the following milgram portal conversation (src):

all these little things add up to paint a picture of a stressed and deeply repressed guy working a job he doesnt actually like (but he has to have a successful job he can brag about or his mother will worry) he thinks little of his own interests and hobbies and socializes more out of obligation than out of genuine desire. all of this culminates to um...his present situation... basically what i want to say is that i think its fine. also i think he killed someone and immediately repressed it but that incident is entirely unrelated to his anime brand DID and his alter. who aside from trying to whale on es that one time has only ever really showed up to be like “can you shut the fuck up. and get away from me. im trying to be normal over here and you are RUINING my life” or to pace around in mikotos cell in the middle of the night like a creature. i think mikoto 2 was entirely unrelated to mikotos repression stress induced rage murder but they might have cleaned up after him idk. we will see. mikoto wants to be a normal guy having a normal time and not worrying his family at all ever and never experiencing anything like anger or frustration at all EVER EVER!! because he has to set a good example for his sister and be the perfect son for his mom so she can relax. and he doesnt think he can do the things he enjoys for the sake of doing them. so what im saying is if he killed someone who cares. whatever. also we should all mass vote him forgiven/innocent just to spite kotoko after last nights birthday timeline post. definitely depends on the situation and who is involved but for the sake of not being Complicated?? yes. quick to violence but also he's very methodical about it. never goes Too far - considering most of the time it's about focusing on getting information from people, and theyre no use to him dead. so he has to be very specific and purposeful in what he does and how. very fun to watch though [:

he's well in his 40s now, so all he really wants is to just. settle down. he's been on his own for so long now and its starting to get to him a little bit. a lot actually. he's having a horrible time!!! he just wants to love someone and be loved. he wants a family. he wants to see his own family again. he's not gonna be particularly drastic about it. it'll happen when it happens. but he is gonna be very sad about it the whole time.

he LOVES being outside. he's an artist so on his days off he will just go out somewhere that looks nice and do so many sketches of everything he sees. it helps him relax, and keeps his brain from screaming at him for a bit. one of the few things that kept him sane back at the corps.

he's not a sports guy entirely because he does NOT!!! work well with other people. in terms of his strengths with that though. he is very fast, agile. powerhouse of a man. Slippery. is the best way i can describe it honestly

OH OF COURSE. ive said this in another ask before but he is actually super nice and caring and gentle, when he lets people get to know him. anyone he works with only ever gets to see his coldness + hard focus on the job at hand and nothing else. they all assume he doesnt care about people, only the money at the end of the job. and while that is kind of true, he also cares SO much about the people he's protecting, whether he's getting paid or not. unless it's rich people/corpo assholes in which case. well he'll still do the job but he wont be happy about it.

🎁 PRESENT - what types of presents would they be most happy to receive? are they good at gift giving?

honestly just give him some food and he will grow on you like moss. food is good. he will eat literally anything. it's been years since he's gotten gifts for anyone so he will kind of cry about it a little bit. maybe.

but get him art supplies??? a sketchbook??? a nice warm sweater??? well now he would die for you.

as for gift giving,,, he hasnt done that in SO many years so he's. a little rusty. but thats what adds to his charm i think. because no matter what he gets you, you can see just how much thought he put into it. and that is so. So important to me

Occult Case Files: File One

A few months back we released a demo for a game I’ve wanted to do for a while: Occult Case Files. What started as a simple mock-up went on to become one of our most successful games!

This was done specifically with games like Uninvited, Shadowgate and Deja-Vu in mind. I really enjoyed the style of those games, along with the horror elements found in Uninvited! Although nowadays it isn’t really all that scary, I’m sure for it’s time it was as scary as it could get though. With that in mind I sought out to make a similar styled game that actually IS scary. Overall, I set out to see how far I can get in development over a span of 2 months. I’ve really been trying my best to scope properly and manage time wisely. After a few years of doing this, I’m starting to feel more and more confident with these things. Yet... I still need more work on them haha.

Accessibility 

From the mock up to the final build, a lot of things were moved, changed, removed, etc. I think this UI layout is properly fitted and wont have to be adjusted anymore in the long run. Although with that said, accessibility was and is something I’m always willing to fine-tune. 

One major complaint I received overall was the constant changing of the selectable actions. Folks didn’t like having to select an option, go back up to the main screen, then going back down to select another option. So to combat that, I had it so hitting “Select”(Shift) would bring the selection you made back up. When that wasn’t enough, I made it so hitting it again would cycle through the options. When THAT wasn’t enough I made it so hitting CTRL would cycle backwards. And when THAT wasn’t enough, I had it so hitting the numpad will bring up the respective action as well. I may sound pessimistic about the above, but overall if it makes the experience for someone that much more manageable then I’m all for it. I get it, some of the design choices back then compared to now are a little archaic and there’s no reason not to improve upon them now. I think the only thing I can do to make it even more accessible is to have the mouse itself be able to act as the cursor as well. I’m kind leaning towards not implementing that though, unless of course there’s a big demand for it.

One thing I really loved about developing this is art didn’t take me too long! The frame in the top right is 116x117. Smaller than the Game Boy’s resolution, but still enough room to work with. I’ve seen folks say I should make that part bigger (One guy suggested I ditch the entire UI and make the screen just that frame) but in the end that just increases my workload and its something I’m dead set on. The size of that part of the screen will remain as is.

What’s Next 

I was not expecting the reception this game got. It seems like folks really dig it for what it is and want more of it. It was something that came from a love of retro games, Japanese horror and an excuse to make some creepy art with a larger palette (Getting kinda tired of just using 4 colors hehe) and I’m glad folks are behind it. I was going to use the demo to gauge how folks felt about it, and depending on that figuring out whether I should put it on the backburner or give it priority over other projects. There’s so many games I want to make, and such little time. But thanks to the positivity folks have expressed over the project, it’s been bumped up on my list. I have an plan for story beats, locations and scares all in mind. I’m in the process of gathering it all up and writing it down so that when the time comes to ramp development back up, I’ll have everything laid out and read to work and expand upon. To give a brief idea of what to expect, the game will take place over a week. As a student, you’ll attend school, talk to classmates and folks around your community as well as explore your neighborhood and a number of locations surrounding that. From local shops to shrines in the woods, I hope I can really give life to these locations and give folks something cool to explore.

Once The Third Shift is wrapped up, Occult Case Files will be up next. It won’t take as long as TTS has, so hopefully it’ll be following it up shortly after. hi besties its me with another hc list <3  Anyway here’s Mr. Chef (OP) Bryce himself DSAFEG

To me, he’s basically the most positive and optimistic one. Realistically speaking, of course, but still tries to keep everyone in good spirits.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Cooking Granny and him were biologically related? Either way, he always admired her and looked up to her. 

So he feels extremely guilty about it and does not like talking about it (or even hearing news about how she’s doing now. It would make him pretty depressed)

One of the few people who likes both Reggie and Jeremiah. He has no ill will towards both of them. 

They did provide a cooking job and shelter for him. Even if it was for the plan, the fact that they did it made him really appreciate it. 

Him and Reggie tend to not take their “Boss/worker dynamic” seriously and even joke about it (“What do I pay you for?” “Hah! You’re not paying me!”)

He honestly sees Reggie as a semi grandpa figure but the kind that tends to be stubborn, a bit old fashioned yet still has a good sense of humor

Jeremiah, while distant and cold, still treats Bryce with respect and offers help when he can (mostly cleaning up the kitchen, even when Bryce insists he can do it by himself)

I am a chandrelle and Bryce bestie supporter. These two understand each other pretty well and honestly? Bryce is one of the few people she would trust with anything (other than Lazarus)

He likes to teach her baking and stuff to ease her clear anger issues and to get to know her better

To repeat from Weasel’s list: Him and Bryce get along fine! I think Byrce feels bad for the kid and wants to help him out. At the very least, he wants to try and set a good example for him. Unfortunately, this is Super goddamn Weasel Kid and he can be just as stubborn as Lionel.

And again, Weasel is banned from the kitchen. Byrce kept noticing certain stuff being stolen and it all lead back to him

Oh to talk briefly about this: Bryce absolutely has the authority to ban people from the kitchen. Since everything, it is his kitchen and his rules there. Unless you want to face the wrath of an annoyed chief, then you will be banned from entering (unless emergencies of course)

Fucking he even banned Reginald from his own kitchen for a week because the old guy is stubborn and not that great of a cook but constantly denies it (just imagining him wheeling a very pissed off Reggie out of his own kitchen after Reggie kept fucking with Bryce’s stuff)

Since he’s besties with Chandrelle, he tries his best to get along with Lazarus too. It’s a bit uncomfortable because Lazarus is not good with getting along with new people, but they manage. 

Bryce was very distrustful of him (and Rust too) due to how he looks and apparent war stories, but honestly? He realized he’s a sweetheart. 

Although he still hates fighting, he does like to train with Lazarus from time to time. It gives a good workout and Lazarus is a decent conversationalist.

While he enjoys Lazarus’s company, He does not trust him with any type of cooking because good lord it’s awful (i’ll explain more when we get to Lazarus)

He is so worried about Rust. Rust is someone who is awful at taking care of himself, so Bryce makes it his duty to remind Rust to eat every once in a while

Bryce used to think he’s a freak and weird old guy who probably killed people (that part is true). But when Rust finally told people about what happened to him, Bryce instantly felt awful.

He even apologized to Rust for being kind of mean to him during the whole murder thing was going on 

FPP and Bryce are also besties!! I think Bryce would teach FPP some cooking and baking skills while FPP would teach Bryce about some new art techniques they found (I wont get into it too much but I hc FPP getting into making art and stuff)

Bryce does have a bit of a temper. Not too bad and he has found ways to manage it very well, but on bad days, it can be hard to contain it. He had one even before his fighting days, but being a fighter did make it worse

It especially comes out when he’s arguing with someone, sometimes he’ll be composed, but sometimes he’ll yell back. One time he punched someone and felt super guilty about it. 

He’s actually pretty protective of his new found family. He already lost a family member when he punched granny and the possible friends he could have made during Combat Arena X. These guys are the closest he’ll ever get to having people who get it. He does not want to lose that.

Overall, he’s pretty much the optimistic and ‘normal’ one in this weird family. Although he has a small temper and can be distrustful of people, he is always there for them and will throw hands if necessary to ensure everyone is safe. 

AY I GOT ONE MORE: Bryce is a very hugs type of a guy and yet forgets that he’s pretty strong. So sometimes if hes really happy or excited, he’ll hug one of them and almost break their back by accident HWHSBW

Jackie, my dear, omg- you updated while i was at work and rough day but like- i had been thinking about this since i saw the notification adn my god you had me oon the edge of my seat yet again- as always- such an icon T^T

so first off, OC is a BAD-ASS. Miyeon is batshit crazy and needed to touch hella grass (or devour that shit into her non-existent soul). I loved, LOVED that OC just took her insults and the pains and slaps but didnt fight back unless it was any of the boys' things being threatened/harmed. Its so very clear how much they love her in these things she is protecting, and its also so clear how much she loves them that these things, the dress/violin/paintings mean more to OC than her own life in these moments.

That said- i have a prediction about that. While I know, KNOW the boys are going to be upset about the broken things, the dress/paintings especially, i feel like OC is probably going to break down and apologize for not being able to protect what she could and just- the whole moments are going to bring so flipping emotional cuz like of course the boys are upset but she means more to them than that obviously. (Yunho is probably going to lose his shit if she apologizes for it- especially when he realizes she got hurt trying to protect his art- like my HEART)

second prediction- she definitely gets on their ass about making sure Kuroo is okay. as someone else pointed out the whole Hwa opening his mouth to say something haha

third prediction- the ones to go berserk: Hwa, Joongie, and Jongho especially. Yeosang is 50/50, but i have a feeling he wont want to touch her, he'll see it as her still getting what she wants. Nah, he gunna be savage to the very end, not looking at her, acknowledging her, probably muttering to mc like "my poor baby, that little pest really threw a tantrum huh?" like just down right degrading Miyeon and really pushing how she is absolutely nothing to him, and will always be. (at least thats what id do xD) anyways- i think its 50/50. he might go berserk, but he also might show concern for his love more than anything.

Wooyoung also has the potential to go berserk, probably talking shit to her the whole time about how she is nothing and MC is a fcking goddess period. Yunho definitely is at MC's side. San is also at Mc's side, and so is Mingi considering both of them care more for others than themselves usually, and would be far more concerned with keeping mc alive rather than seek vengance.

i also like the prediction that mc is going to be so gone that healing her turns her into something less human, and that she gets to have a badass moment too <3 she'll either beg to have a hand in Miyeon's death then, or have them wait. (if they wait i have a feeling Miyeon might get saved by her pets ope. but if they dont, and Miyeon dies- then her pets are going to still continue out her rebellion solely to avenge her)

Anyways- I love you and this story so much thank you for another emotional roller coaster that I adored beyond words being able to describe T^T

-just in general i feel like the player isn't the only one controlling kris... like yes the player forced kris to do what happened in the snowgrave route but AT THE SAME TIME idk it feels like there's someone else too. just because of the terrifying voice i suppose. and also the jerky movement kris does every time they get their soul out? unless there's another reason for it... maybe getting your soul out means you walk weird lol

That feel when Odin enslaves and conquers the entirety of the Nine realms, builds a golden city to satiate his ego, seemingly erases his past wrongs (possibly magically?? only explanation for Thor, Loki, and the rest of Asgard not knowing shit about Hela) and it's only when your enemy, who was apparently just as powerful as Asgard back in the day that has malevolent intentions.

Malevolent intentions that apparently only involve attacking Midgard, a place that Odin gives no fucks about (no better than a goat at a feast, am I right, All Father, sir?). So Odin is forced (lmao) to take away the very essence of their world that lets it exist? How benevolent of him to let the monsters live just a little bit longer, I suppose. Total A+ benevolent kingship right there.

So of course Odin doesn't argue killing all the frost giants, why would he? He's totally for it. And keeping Loki a secret makes sense, we cant have Asgard thinking the Jotnar are people too.

Sometimes it really boggles me that Odin is perceived in anyway as a kind and just king by fandom? Truly, I wont ever get it, considering he's never been framed in that way, even by canon. Unless you just count being labeled a "good" guy by Marvel.

Don't mind me, just found this little bit in their concept book. Thought it was sad and interesting, wish we got to see more of the Jotnar in the mcu, but I'm glad they never got a chance to be ruined either. :P
