When Phantom joined the Justice League, he wasn’t prepared to be approached by Batman of all people. He had been warned to not take everything Batman says to you personally, but that he was a great hero.

Batman had a request. A simple one, at least according to Batman. He asked Phantom to meet an anti-hero who had come back from the dead and had some … nasty side effects.

Phantom, intrigued, agreed. Batman set a time and place, and Phantom showed up. But, Phantom thought Batman had said the one in the red helmet was the undead.

He doesn’t understand why everyone freaks out when Phantom approaches the vigilante with half a cowl dressed in black and red. This boy reeked of death, did Batman seriously not know?

So there's a lot of excellent Danny's-somehow-related-to-the-batfam fic, usually with him being related to Dick or Damian. It speaks to both the popularity of the characters and the ease with which you can insert him into their backstory.

But really you could still really easily do something similar with Jason? Make them both adopted out of Gotham as infants, Jason to the Todd's as in canon, Danny to the Fenton's as most folks do for Twin Robin&Danny stories

Have canon play out mostly as usual (minus PP obvi)

I'd personally have Danny reach an understanding with the ghosts to the point he can move to Gotham, live a life, grow as a person, maybe have him take up a gig at Arkham as a guard? Maybe do some uni classes?

Have him settling into Gotham right as Red Hood starts up his shit in town (around 18-19? If I recall correctly) and then add some near misses with both of them and the Batfam

The whole thing could get absolutely wild with someone assuming they're seeing ghosts (accurate but still 1/2 wrong), shenanigans abound, all sorts of shit

over the weekend my partner and I went to the library’s inventory sale. we couldn’t go until the last day, so most of books were picked clean. we picked out a couple YA titles from the early 2000s and several cds, mostly just going off of cover/album art vibes. it was fill a bag for $1 so there was really no way lose

we each also found some nostalgic tunes; Vicente Fernández, a mexican singer that their parents played a lot when they were growing up for my partner, and a best of cd for Yma Sumac, a peruvian singer that my grandfather adored. really couldn’t have asked for better finds

Funniest bit of the dnd movie is Xenk clearly being an NPC the DM introduced for lore and plot purposes who’s a competent fighter because of course he is, his reputation and backstory require it. But whoopsies the DM made him too powerful, the whole party likes him, and now they want him to come with to fight the BBEG which will completely and utterly fuck up the encounter balance

So instead of there being any actual plot reason he can’t join Xenk just says “I can’t. This is something only you can do.” And then walks off, never to interact with the party again because the DM just knows those little shits will find a way to use their OP creation against them

so much happened in this whole episode but i’m still on fig infiltrating ruben’s dream, making it look like the place where his friend was murdered, and then disguising herself as kipperlilly & repeatedly saying different variants of “somebody needs to take the fall for this, and it’s not going to be me. it’s going to be you.” while adaine as the elven oracle shows up next to her. can you imagine waking up from that, the idea of a horrible truth being pinned on you by your friend to save her own skin while the personification of fate and destiny stands there, almost as a promise that this is GOING to happen to you. we don’t even know if this kid is guilty. my god.
