Genshin Sagau (?) Isekai Brainrot - Language

I've seen like ONE small kinda related Genshin Sagau/isekai idea for this but I wanted more of it so BAD

It’s not the most interesting thing in the world, it’s about our modern vernacular vs. Teyvat's flowery speech

Pls feel free to expand on or add to this pLEASE TAG ME IF U DO IM STARVING OUT HERE :)))

So I saw someone write like one sentence abt this (can’t remember who :( sorry I’ll update if I find them ) or like a brutally honest version??

But I also took inspo from how fucking wordy and long conversations that are in Genshin, even with ppl like Xiao (the rude boy that he is) or even Tighnari who gets to the point pretty quickly

It goes smth like:

So, all of Teyvet, (esp ppl like Zhongli 💀 u know the ones) talk,, flowery.

Like, the whole Pride and Prejudice style speaking, euphemisms, metaphors, for some characters (or Npcs) its full on POETRY. 

Lookin’ at you Kazuha.

And going off of any variation of you being the Creator, (or otherwise an older mythical being?), they could have this thing where the older a deity/mythical thingy is, the simpler the speech. 

Kinda makes sense to them y’know? The older beings are serious, commanding, intimidating

And nothing says "I'm ancient as fuck and powerful as fuck" like simple blunt speech.

And being closer to the literal creation of the world, language would understandably be less complex (I’m assuming it’s the same as in human cultures in our world's history)

Like literally look at our fantasy typical stories, plenty of them have a dragon or ancient god that speaks in extremes, like so flowery its a metaphor, or so bluntly its startling (ie, "Be not afraid." "I am all powerful." etc etc)

And so, ancient powerful being = direct/blunt speech

...Y'know,, almost like our modern vernacular.

Like, part of some of our modern day comedy is purely based on a sentence being delivered bluntly for impact

Hell our ads and videos and content in general we always want to get to the point, to say things simply

So with this in mind, even if you try to deny being the Creator, they might still think you are, or at least a more minor ancient deity/creature

(like the Seven Sovereigns/Phanes/Shades/etc. for example would sound eerily modern or at least easy for you to understand bc of this trait lol)

(Also I'm just assuming u know Genshin lore enough to know what I meant by that ^)

ALL reacted shocked as hell at hearing you talk, and would probably explain (or Paimon before then?) in that infuriatingly roundabout way, that you would usually skip a couple dialogue boxes just to avoid bc yOU ALREADY GOT THE POINT or alternatively WHATS THE POINT HERE?? JUST SAY IT, WHATS THE COMMISSION/QUEST FOR/WHAT DO I DO??

Like at first, every convo ya’ll have had with people who recognize that direct speech trait as a thing, would take at least 10 minutes to finish talking about it/being shocked,,

It got so old so fast.

(Like I already can’t communicate that good with ppl irl bc I misunderstand them, or they do me, or they just dont get what I mean, and as my friends put it, which I think would fit here for any language shenanigans we go thru in Teyvat, "A Shakespearean level of misunderstanding, hilarious but such a downward spiral to watch, it just gets more and more ridiculous as it goes on...")

On another note, making fun of someone would be so fucking funny,

I’d like to give myself the benefit of the doubt that many characters, after getting used to your speech, would generally understand you (even if they always notice it, like an accent) and would actually rlly love hearing insults or even just generally how you would put things

(like maybe treating this almost like those vids of ppl with non-native english speaknig relatives/parents and its the most hilarious thing to watch them, usually get pissed 😭, at their kid, if u dont know what I mean look up on tiktok or smth)

And You just come off like those insults where you dont even use cuss words, you just like, drag queen read them into never showing their face again, and you did it in so few words!! 

They're amazed and oh,

Ok but in true ask tradition! :U im hijacking this ask to talk about a dumb theory thats been rolling around in my head for like 2 years now: android 16 and broly similarities:

Ok so. If you aren't aware. The android arc of dragon ball was originally going to focus on the androids 19 & 20 and trunks even names them specifically

But Toriyamas former editor, Kazuhiko Torishima, didn't like them as the main antagonists and so Toriyama changed it to focus on 17 & 18 as the bad guys and introduced 16 as a sort of mystery

Now. This gets almost completely dropped once that same former editor ALSO doesn't like these androids and cell becomes the main villian for the arc (yeah yeah, the bomb thing is technically *there*, but its so inconsequential most people forget its even a thing :T )

So. Idk exactly when movie 8 went into production, but we know Brolys LSSJ form was inspired by trunks SSJ grade3 form that appears several chapters after cell has been introduced and the androids have become power-up fodder, so im gonna argue its safe to say the decision to move away from their story had been made

(side tangent that I find absolutely hilarious btw- despite gokus commentary in the HTC, SSJ grade 3 was the strongest form of ssj we saw at this point, so its pretty appropriate to use it as the basis of the strongest scariest ssj form.... rrriiiiiiiiggght up until toriyama introduced SSJ2 on Feb 2, 1993- near exactly 1 month before the first Broly movie hit theaters. Completely undermined what, up til then, looked like a trend in stronger form = bigger and beefier right as the big beefy strongest guy ever movie came out 🤣 absolutely love it!)

So anyways. The movies overall also tend to have varying degrees of similarities with recent arcs in the show and Toriyama, while not overly involved, would give the studio designs and story notes. And. Idk. Yall can tell me im reaching if ya want, but: A guy who's made into a weapon by his father who's on a quest for revenge and has this conflicting view of his son as both someone he feels he failed to protect, someone he cares about, but also as a tool for that revenge, and someone who's destructive power hes become deeply afraid of.. now where have we seen somethin like that 🤔 may be an extra reach but I also think its neat that despite their different face shape, Toriyamas gave em the same expression

Lol they're also both just ridiculously tall bastards. Like for no gd reason. And yeah, to me atleast, it explains why hating goku specifically gets shoehorned into brolys backstory (listen I can absolutely do the mental gymnastics to make it make sense! I'm fine with it! Its fine! I actually like it! ... but it IS a dumb shoehorned plot point! Both things can be true D:< ) look just lookit these tall ass shits

Anyway. My last note is just this statement from Toriyama about 16 and Gero. The way gero is presented is really in line with how I see Paragus as this tragic failure of a father- honestly caring about his kid, but letting grief and revenge drive him into conflicting corners where he wants revenge FOR the life denied his son, but also actively shaping his son into such a terrifying weapon that ultimately hed rather his kid just never be conscious cause thats the 'only way to keep them safe'

“Dr. Gero’s son who died young a long time ago served as the visual model for Android 16. He was a high-ranking soldier for the Red Ribbon Army but was shot down by the enemy. Ok first of all. Its my dnd au and i make the rules and i think it would be cool if rhaenyra is a trans woman. Obviously this does not work at all with the actual world asoiaf/f&b, but i do what i want. This would create different issues of inheritance (i think??) but ultimately she would be the heir, and she and alicent could get married <3 . Now her actual dnd lore; i think that she would be far more of a warrior if given the opportunity (i also think this about the canon world, but idk if that's due to hotd or what), so i decided on drakewarden ranger.

I definitely knew i wanted to do something with dragons for rhaenyra, (moreso than i have for other targs) so i spent a while thinking about which classes are closest to dragons in the f&b sense. Draconic ancestry sorcerer was a possibility, but i've already done sorcerer for dany, and i want variety. Fizban's treasury of dragons is really cool, and i considered making rhae a dragonborn (since i feel like i've been playing it really safe in terms of the fantasy races i've used so far) but i think that the dragon differences between dnd and asoiaf make it weird to have someone in your family who fucked their dragon. Also drakewarden is cool. Ranger is a fun class if its played right, and its combined options for ranged/martial/ and a little spellcasting makes it great for the role that the heir to the throne would play on the battlefield. I  think her favoured enemy is also dragons, since both her enemies and allies having dragons means that she would have had to learn about them. Since i am designing her at about 10th level, she gets another faovured enemy, which could be either beasts (if we lean more into asoiaf's low fantasy worldbuilding) or aberrations (lets get weird). Im leaning toward aberrations due to how i am as a person

For her race i did do half-elf (boring i know, bite me) but with the gift of the chromatic dragon feat, she would be able to take give herself resistance to elemental damage, and drakewarden gives her the ability to do a breath weapon attack (like how dragons breathe fire or acid or whatever). I thought about elemental adept as her other feat, but i also gave that to dany, and im avoiding repetition. The aberrant dragonmark feat gives access to a sorcerer cantrip and 1-level spell, i chose booming blade and chaos bolt, as well as a flaw associated with the dragon mark, i think she gets horrific nightmares after using the mark.

Now for the usual last details, i think her stats go (highest to lowest) dexterity > charisma > strength > intelligence > constitution > wisdom. A healthy balance between mental and physical stats i think! Though i may have nerfed her spellcasting by putting wisdom as low as i did. Oops. For her fighting style, dueling makes sense for how an heir would be taught to fight.

Man, I love happy aus where somehow the dance is avoided, but when ever I think of it I'm always reminded of how young the kid characters are. Like even aegons only 20 and he's the oldest. No one got to grow up or age past young adult.

It really makes u wonder how they'd have changed over the years. What they'd look like, how'd they grow as people if given the chance.

I want to know how aegon would deal with his own kids if they grew into teens like he was. Would aemond be nervous/ over protective if he ended up having a kid that was as obsessed with dragons as he was? How would he react if their dragon egg didn't hatch? Would Haelena try and have her daughter marry for love? Do the Strong boys end up looking even more like Harwin as they age? How would they feel about that?

I just want to see how these people would change and mature if they'd been given the chance.

there was something that really made me laugh about the "Do the Strong boys end up looking even more like Harwin as they age?" question because it almost sounds like drug commercial lol

but yeah, i imagine it's normal to think of what would have been if the dance hadn't happened. it is after all a bloody civil war that almost wipes everyone out

tbh i think it really depends how the dance is avoided. either rhaenyra is named heir and nobody challenges her and she and alicent get along better and the kids grow closer to rhaenyra and they're all one semi happy semi dysfunctional family

or aegon is crowned king and rhaenya accepts the peace terms and caraxes eats daemon or something

i think there would be a need for a change in the relationship between alicent and aegon and otto and aegon for aegon to become more present in his family. and either he stays a drunk absent father who doesn't hate his children but who's absence causes them harm anyway or has a revelation that he doesn't want to turn into some kind of viserys and actually does more to be present as a father at least if not a husband too

i think aegon, aemond, helaena and daeron would all look at the twins and maelor and it'd remind them of themselves as teens. it'd be kinda wholesome

i think aemond would def be quite protective of their own kid, but not about dragons. that man would take his 1 year old baby and give them a ride on vaghar. it's sorta like you can trust me and my bond with my pet but other people stay tf away. mostly because there's just a limited number of people he trusts since he saw that even his sister showed contempt for him. so if he's with the ones he trusts, he's relaxed (tho he is the kind of dad who always keeps his eye on his kid just to be sure of where they are). definitely think he'd be super excited to pick an egg for his kid (esp since he and his siblings didn't have one) and he'd be super excited to see it hatch and see the bonding process between his kid and the dragon baby <3

the idea that halaena would want her daughter to marry for love really hit me. i think maybe she'd want that for all of her kids, but there would be something personal about her daughter. that would be nice. a change finally.

i'll be honest, i didn't read the books so i know nothing about this dynamic other than what i've seen on here and it's very little but i am intrigued about the idea of aegon iii and jaehaera navigating life together as two traumatized children (tho idk much about aegon iii), but at the same time i hate this idea because imagine being married to the son of the man who killed your twin and destroyed your family. that sounds horrible i reckon it's hard not to think it when you look at them. but again idk anything about this dynamic. like anything.

tbh i'd think if there wasn't any dance they wouldn't have been so upset about it. jacaerys seemed okay with it and wanted to attend his father's funeral. like in the dance it matters because lucerys is realizing that he is in fact getting a seat that's quite not his.

nastya - BANSHEE...or ghost in general but there some banshee stuff i feel could be fun to integrate. apparently in some tellings banshees can turn into crows? i love that very much. but anyways hmm..some notes abt the design in thsi post shes not quite where i want her to be. this was done on that collab canvas the other day and like...was mostly noodling things out having fun, those flamey looking bits are a very nice motion very fun to do but NOT wwhat i want for ghostya. i want her to be more. drippy. very drowned person vibes. fire and upward-floating motif not what i want. but it was fun to draw. also i think theres some potential comedy in there with “person who predicts deaths” among crew who habitually murder each other

raphaella - SOMEWHERE BTWN HARPY & SIREN (the bird kind not the mermaid kind) very excited abt her. lots of fun potential poses here. doing her design was a bit tricky- sirens tend to be just like- big birds with human heads? but i didt wanna do just that that takes away too much of her design recognizbility yknow to Just have her head. so she has a people torso, bird from the waist down, plus her arms are wings. which means she has Two pairs of wings. which i for one think is incredibly fun like you remember in httyd2 valka’s dragon w the four wings? yeah. also avent figured what bird in particular shell be based on- for the ufrry au i went w african grey parrot but dont feel like that here. ill think on it

tim - WEREWOLF TIM DUH. The gist is that modern au WWX gets hit with sex pollen curse, LWJ helps him out, but the curse also makes WWX pregnant. It honestly has much less angst than you would think. There's pining, but it's gentle, with the circumstances sweeping them along like a wave to their inevitable conclusion.

More Hogwarts AU stuff for the snk vets! Thanks to @luanabonn for asking me to join her with this :)  

Hange Zoe Wand: Hazel/Dragon Heartstring (It said Hazel wood is sensitive and works best for a wielder that can understand and manage their own feelings. since hange can get really angry and emotional i feel like itd be cool to see her struggle with this wand at first but slowly master it. Dragon Heartstring is also prone to accidents and is temperamental LOL, I just think Hange would be the only one to tame such a difficult wand) House: Gryffindor (agree with luanabonn that Hange would totally be a hatstall, but I like to think she’d end up being in Gryffindor. Parallels to Hermione: smartest witch of her age but can pack a punch when angry and will stand for what she believes in without backing down) Patronus: Dog (Border Collie) Blood status: Half-Blood (She’s well versed in both the muggle and wizarding world because of it) Excels: Care of Magical Creatures Sucks at Potions: She’s not even bad at it, she just likes to experiment and loved making her cauldron explode. Quidditch position: Chaser. Loves scoring against Hufflepuff’s Keeper, Levi Ackerman Pets: 2 toads named Sawney and Bean. but she’s always with the Care of Magical creatures professor  so like every animal in Hogwarts’ grounds knows and loves Hange. Hopes to one day own her own hippogriff.

Levi Ackerman Wand: Poplar/Unicorn Hair (a reliable, consistent wand with the rarest wood that is happiest with a wilder with clear moral vision) House: Hufflepuff (totally the black sheep of Hufflepuff, gloomy angry scowled boi but has the kindest heart of them all) Patronus: Black Cat Blood status: Pure-blood (of the Ackerman bloodline) Excels: Potions Sucks at Care of Magical Creatures (lol he just hesitates and gets grossed out sometimes and the animals feel that. They tolerate him because he hangs around Hange all the time) Quidditch Position: Keeper, loves to block goals by Hange of Gryffindor house Pets: He ends up taking care of Hange’s toads and gets his share of time with animals because of her. But he does have a small cat.

Erwin Smith Wand: Laurel/Dragonheartstring (Laurel wood does not tolerate laziness, and cannot perform a dishonorable act) House: Slytherin (driven, clever, strong sense of brotherhood aka really cares about those closest to him) Patronus: Deer (male) Blood Status: Muggle-born (credits to luanabonn for this one! I like the idea of Erwin being such a driven Slytherin down to his core, but he’s kinda outcasted for being muggle-born) Excels: Defense Against the Dark Arts Sucks at Herbology: It annoys him that his grades are perfect except for this class. Hange and Moblit always take turns to come help him. Quidditch: Chaser (always competitive against Hange) Pets: Also tired of running after Hange’s animals, can’t deal with another pet of his own lol. He has a snowy white owl thought so he can send letters to his family.

Moblit Berner Wand: Poplar/Unicorn Hair (the same wand as Levi’s. Hange teases Levi about this, and Levi gets a bit jealous of Moblit for a time over it. Moblit tries not to get involved) House: Gryffindor (kinda like Neville? always worried and skittish but will save you, super brave when needed to be) Patronus: Rabbit Blood Status: Muggle-born (parents are just as nervous as him, they ended up with a magical child after all) Quidditch: Seeker :) Excels: Herbology and Defense Against the Dark Arts Sucks at Potions: literally only because he abandons his work to try stopping Hange from making everything explode Pets: A small brown owl that perches on his shoulder a lot.

Mike Zacharias Wand: Maple/Dragon Heartstring (Maple is a wand of high achievers, growing in ability with its partner. He is very competitive as all Slytherins are, he and Erwin compete a lot which makes each other grow into skilled wizards) House: Slytherin (I think he’d be Erwin’s best friend in Slytherin house) Patronus: Dog (Bloodhound) Blood Status: Half-Blood Excels: Potions. Argument between him and Levi at who’s best at this subject. Levi has natural talent and Mike is good with his nose, which helps him greatly. Sucks at Transfiguration. Nanaba always helps him with this subject, and it’s how they became close friends. Quidditch: Beater. Idk why but this just makes sense to me lol Pet: Rat. Gets mad at Hange for sneaking the rat more cheese, and it gets very chubby.

Nanaba Wand: Alder/Unicorn hair (ideal owner is helpful, considerate, and likable) House: Hufflepuff (Levi’s only friend Hufflepuff house. She’s the only one he tolerates lol, and sees through his RBF) Patronus: Otter (otters cuddle and hug each other and I imagine she’s like this with all their friends.) Blood Status: Muggle-born Excels: Transfiguration. She turns Levi’s stuff into little animals that scurry away from him and he’s always running after something in the Hufflepuff common room. It annoys Levi but he can’t help but laugh sometimes when she does this. Sucks at no subjects actually. She has perfect scores because she’s naturally book smart, which annoys the hell out of Erwin. “Who care about plants???” he always says in response to Nanaba’s grades, and Moblit always gives him a glare. Quidditch: Beater. Will never let Mike forget that she hit a blundger right at Mike, and he fell and broke his arm. They get very competitive with each other during matches. Pets: Cat. Very floofy, helps keep watch over Sawney and Bean because they often escape the Gryffindor common room.

An Angel/Demon au but more like im remaking whole HP universe that no one asked for but i did it anyway because i simply just h a d to...

Okay you are here, are you ready??

At first, i wanted it to be some regular A.D. au that demons in hell and angels in heaven and they are enemies bla bla you know all that beautiful aus like that already

so welcome to my version of it, kinda crossover like.

In hp universe we have muggles - wizards/witches. I turned this into humans - angels/ demons. So humans are like muggles, living their life with no magic and no idea about it. Angels and demons are like wizards/witches, have magic and knows about humans. Angels and demons are not holy creatures, they belong in Earth and lives there.

Angels have light magic. They have white, bird like wings and that light magic comes from wing's feathers. Only most powerfull angels have ring on their heads (i really dont know its name...)Demons have dark magic. They have black, bat like wings and that dark magic comes from wing's scales. Only most powerfull demons have horns on their heads.

Light magic is creator, dark magic is destroyer. Simply, an angel can create a light, but cant make it disappear. A demon cant create a light, but can destroy it.

Because of that, most demon and angels works as team aand lives with each other. And a note, Hybrids cant exist, they simpy just demon or angel. Because dark and light magic destroy each other, one dominate other in every situation. (Also pureblood supremacists? They are still here, turned into all demon or

all angel families. Kinda still purebloods??)

Normally, angels and demons doesnt need to use wand to use their own magic. But they have it anyway. Why? To be able to use other magic kind that they dont have. Let me explain.

I thought it would be pain in the arse to live with not being able to basically cast Lumos but not Nox. Or opposite. So, im sure they would try to find a way to use other magic kind. Then i thought how???

Basic. An angel will have a wand that uses the power of demons wing's scale. A demon will have wand that uses the power of angels wing's feathers. Most impostant point is, actually that wands are just like in normal hp universe. To be able to use it as other magic kind, person need to power it up with feather/scale regularly. Because of that, every demon and angel has to donate some in periots, to Ministry. But some people like families or Aurors, ones that works as teams, they doesnt get it from Ministry, they get it from their partner. Because emotional bond between users makes is more powerfull. ıdk how, it just does because i want it jhgfdfghjkl also ✨magic✨

I think now i can move on Hogwarts and our Hphm characters. Thats where things gets exciting jhgfdfghjk.

There is just two houses now, for demons and angels (I couldnt find a name for them so if you have l e t m e k n o w p l s).

Demons, main color on uniform is black, as a second color person can choose one or two of cold colors (basically shades of blue,green and purple). House symbol is Dragon SİMPLY BECAUSE İ WANT AND İ CAN?? but also it has similiar wings with demons.

Angels, main color on uniform is white, as a second color person can choose one or two of warm colors (basically shades of red, orange and yellow). House symbol is Abraxan because wings and its light colors

Here a simple drawing of Talbott as angel and Rowan as demon, just because i wanted to see something about au. Also i didnt think about uniform much, so there is a chance i can make it more beautiful. ALSO i made Rowan demon because how they are mc's house, i mean they need to in mc's kind, but you feel free to change this if u want

And no robes OR different dress code based on gender. No one wants robes or skirts while flying. NO ROBES AND SKİRTS AS UNİFORM. Thank you :)

Normally student get sorted by hat in their house, in first year. İn that au, student get sorted in their team.

İn hogwarts, every demon has one main partner, an angel. And one secondary partner, another demon. Same goes as angels. And anegl have one main demon partner and secondary angel partner. Main partners makes the real team.

İt sounds little complicated, so allow me to give an example.

Night is demon. Their main partner is Talbott -angel- and secondary partner is Rowan -demon- The team is Night-Talbott. Rowan and Talbott has really nothing jhgfghjk.

I come up with everyones teams, but telling it like this would be hard, i will just write it like that:

Favourite thing about them: wait I have to choose just one- uhhhh let me think. Does it count as 'one thing' if I say her entire personality? She's a sweetheart and she cares so much about people but also I love how she doesn't hesitate to stand up for herself. Like, she's kind but she's not a pushover - she gets angry, she gets annoyed (V8E5 is a great example), she's a sweet gentle angel but at the same time if you hurt the people she loves she WILL fight you. The duality of Penny 😌

Also I just always love robot characters

Least favourite thing about them: pLEASE STOP DYING MY HEART CAN'T TAKE THIS orz

Favourite line: "Do hugs always make you feel this warm inside?" is a big one, very emotional, very sweet. But at the same time I also really love "That doesn't bother you?" and "I do not see what is good about any of this" from Volume 7, when she and Winter are on the way to take the Maiden powers from Fria. Also shout out to her "Trust me" to Jaune in the finale being one of the lines I cling to a lot in terms of hope and theorising about her revival.

I also really adore the concept of Penny being close friends with (either AU or post-redemption) Cinder. I just feel like they have the potential for a really fun and interesting dynamic (also I do have a theory about Penny being involved in Cinder's redemption arc, I've discussed it in servers a couple of times with friends, if enough people are curious I might try to put together a post on here? A lot of it is barely comprehensible rambling but honestly that's how most of my theorising goes)

OTP: Frosen Steel all the way, my favourite ship in the whole show, just *chef's kiss* I love them so so much. Very close second place to Nuts & Dolts and Frostbyte, though that's probably not exactly a surprise

nOTP: Other than the illegal/uncomfortable ones...I'm not super comfortable shipping Penny with Winter due to the fact that I very solidly see them as siblings. Like, objectively there's nothing wrong with the ship but my perception of them as practically sisters makes seeing them in a romantic context kinda weird...

Random headcanon: She calms herself down by stimming with her hands, usually rubbing them together but sometimes running her hands over soft textures (sometimes with gloves off but sometimes keeping them on because otherwise it'd be sensory overload). i've already answered this here, but i don't wanna skip questions! so while it wasn't necessarily to me;

there was a moment where sabo sat down in front of ace's memorial to catch him up on everything that's happened lately. it isn't until the wind nearly blows his hat off that he realizes he's been rambling way too much about the birkan on luffy's crew he's grown fond of, and he laughs. "yeah, yeah, i get it. i'll shut up about her. you'd like her though. i want to bring her here one day."

Invisibility Stone: How often are you and your F/O apart from each other?

most of our time is spent apart just due to the fact that we're from. ENTIRELY different affiliations lmao. i like running on stampede logic though and like to think that there is enough downtime between arcs that sabo is able to be around the crew and hang out with luffy and jackel when he can. he drives koala absolutely up the wall cus sometimes he just decides to visit the thousand sunny completely on a whim and she just has no idea where she went and has to constantly cover for him to dragon BGNJADGNDJA

Invincibility Candy: Time for some humor. Tell me of a funny moment y’all had.

DGBNFDSIAJGNDFASM in my au where jackel went with robin to baltigo during the timeskip, sabo found jackel for the first time while she was asleep on a chair. and he just walked over and got all up in her face to stare at her because he's never seen a sky person up-close before. and he gets curious and just starts touching jackel's ears and it wakes her up and she just bodyslams him thinking she was under fucking attack

Heart-Star: What made you fall for your F/O, and what made YOU fall for YOUR F/O?

as jackel, there was no pinpointed moment. they just sort of fell gradually over time. i'd say the biggest aspect of him that magnetized them to him is just how much they seem to understand each other. their childhoods were rough in extremely similar ways, and they were able to lean on each other in that regard during their late night conversations whenever one of them was feeling particularly vulnerable.

1. Why did you pick their name?

hana: i wanted something cute and short, taken from something in scots gaelic (sort of), and MAN i had to go back a long ass ways in the kos discord to find out where it came from, but ORIGINALLY i took hana from what looks like 'meadhanach' which.. from looking it up now.. SEEMS TO MEAN MEDIOCRE... sorry hana..

bon: wanted something that meant cute and sounded cute for a terrible inhuman magical weapon of destruction 

2. Why did your character get that name in-universe?

hana: now i attribute hana's name to what he was called when he was younger, 'ceannach' which wasn't a name so much as a descriptor. the pronounciation SORT OF has a 'hana' sound in there. so. that's what he called himself and a certain someone (who you have sort of met) was like "ehhh that's not.. why don't we just like shorten that to something less depressing, how about we call u hana"

5. If they got a tattoo, what kind? If they have tattoos, what would their next one be?

hana: BABY DRAGON BABEEEEYYYYYYYY or like. something cheesy like his favorite constellation. 

bon: i previously designed modern au tattoos for bon but i'm thinking i want to redo them......... besides the heart on the sideboob, and lots of just like... rings? esp on the hands/arms. for the actual story universe.. he doesn't have a lot of tattoo-able space. and i cant see him wanting to have more of his skin covered up.

tera: ooh some complex magic sigil that does something super complicated but useful... i just cant think of something rn lol

chaar: oooh... chaar would get one really tiny tattoo. a little spring of queen ann's lace perhaps.

6. Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, downhill tobogganing/sledding, or ice skating?

hana: sledding, he doesn't have the coordinating for alpine skiing or ice skating, and he'd have a rough time with cross country.. legs so short it'd take him years to get anywhere. 

bon: ALPINE BABEYYYYY ZOOM DOWN THAT HILL, love that rush, but i think he'd also like ice skating, he likes to be expressive w his body. 

7. Their 2020s AU quarantine craft of choice? 

hana: every craft. specifically tho i think he'd like those like.. circle weaver things? that like.. you use different yarns and whatnot to sometimes make like little nature scenes and stuff. idk what you call them. macrame? maybe. 

bon: he'd be the one who started baking and is now making like. complex confections and whatnot. 

8. Which era of historical fashion do you think would fit them?

hana: oof... uhh... MAYBE the 80's?? fun colors fun times.

13. Their cliche YA novel scent combo? (Like ‘X smelled like rhododendron and dewdrops and the pages of a 100-year-old library book 😩’)

hana: VERY GOOD

bon: good at it, but not interested in it. 

15. Likes studying languages, yes or no?

hana: yes and no, yes because he likes to be able to talk to people, and no cause he isn't great at it

16. Kitchen catastrophe or gourmet home cook?

hana:  in the middle? very homestyle cooking kind of guy. good hearty food but not like.. impressive food.

bon: gourmet babeyyyyy

chaar: she isn't a catastrophe but she's not like.. GREAT at cooking. but her food is good! perhaps a little plain. i think she'd be into making sweets but wouldn't be real great at it. 

17. What’s their breakfast like?

hana: EGGS TOAST BACON ORANGE JUICE STRAWBERRIES

bon: :) nothing

tera: something light, quick, and easy, probably like yogurt and granola, granola w fruit in it

chaar: oatmeal probably. a sensible breakfast. it's got like. almonds.. pecans.. walnuts.. berries.. etc etc very healthy.

18. Do they have a favourite accessory / item of clothing? If yes, why that?

hana: YES! his teal earrings. they serve an important purpose (that he isn't 100% aware of) and they were given to him by someone special! will go more into this on the patreon discord i think. 

bon: YES. his shitty, now one-armed coat. it was.. not really a gift? but like.. it was given to him by people who cared about him. in a gesture of kindness when he felt he didnt really deserve one. it wasn't like. a turning point for him. still went on doing shitty things but. it's a reminder that at one point, people did care about him. so he's kept it for probably about 6 yrs now, been patching it and fixing it up when he inevitably ruins it. was not always a crop top lol. will also possibly go into this on the discord, tho i may have already lmao

tera: she doesn't wear it but she has mentioned it.......... big witch hat. she likes the magical girl witch vibes.

chaar: her chain mail lol. feels comfortable, feels safe. it's her protection from swords and her mother's disappointment. 

19. What cute thing were they into as a tween that they cringe about now? (Let them know I love it!)

hana: hana is cringe now. he's cringe but he's free. into every nerdy thing you can imagine. has he played a ttrpg with baby?? which means basically by himself? yes. has he made and painted miniatures? yes. did he make complex dioramas for their sessions? yes. and he’ll do it again. he is free. 

bon: cute things huh..... uh....... he was probably into reading children's fairytales long enough for it to be cringe. 

tera: i really want there to be like.......... pop idols. i want tera to have posters of a cute witch themed pop idol in her tween bedroom... her first crush... 

chaar: she's still into fancy dolls with fancy clothes. she thinks its cringe (she's been told its cringe) but she likes to dress them up! let her live. dresses them up, makes them clothes, paints them, she does it all.
