I saw some being like "oh she's posting jimin's videos on her Instagram where people are putting hearts and calling them cute, he's definitely dating her" and I'm like WHAT??? What are you 9 ??? Who even thinks like that?

Also people tend to Forgot that he's literally THEE PARK JIMIN like he's not just an any idol but he's someone the whole industry talks about when it comes to dance and performance. There won't be a single moment even in future where they'll talk about the best dancer/perfomer of the industry and they won't mention jimin cause he's a "IT" in that department. They're in the fandom so they see him regularly so think he's just their best friend or something but he's a celebrity with a bigg reputation and impact. The dancers and perfomers look upto him and would do anything to share a stage with him. Jimin is just as significant as BTS even as a solo. If i danced with him as the way the girl did (I'm sorry idk her name, but it's the girl many call his reflection 😅 and she was the one who was posting all the stories from fans where she was tagged and doing choreo with him) i would literally never let anyone forgot who i danced with lol.

Idk what kind of alternate universe these stupid people be living and when you tell them he ain't dating her, they start lecturing you "why? Because she's just a backup dancer? So what? Love can happen with anyone" and I'm like brother move??? 😑😑😑 I'm sorry but kpop really has the stupidest arguments and like who even thinks that far over something so normal? I wouldn't think he's dating someone until unless we get a proof cause nothing these boys do can suddenly make me think to they're dating xyz cause they literally do the bare minimum than than anyone else in entertainment industry.

Army have such a long history with never being able to be normal about the women BTS interact with. And some of them think being “normal” is to over compensate. Even besides the sk one who did the reflection portion, there was the one from fallon that people were putting on a pedestal for no reason. Like y’all had no idea this woman even existed before now.

They had found her socials the minute after that episode aired and started to follow her then wanted to act like that wasn’t weird. They’ll stress themselves out over the same scenarios they created in their own heads because when they see these men with women, they’re imagining their potential futures where they’re not the one who will be with them romantically.

I think TH with Jennie (and JK with all the girls he’s been caught with) are the only examples we’ve gotten of any of BTS actually being with women. Some people say that the reason armys were upset about TH being with Jennie is because they hate her. And while that’s part of it, they didn’t know any of the girls JK has been seen with. And they’re still in denial that he could have been with them in a dating sense. They simply just don’t like the idea of them dating period.

I find that in a lot of love songs, especially in kpop, there's this obsession that makes me uncomfortable. Like "I only need you and I will change myself for you and without this relationship I'm depressed etc" and it feels very wrong. But I feel like this song is directly against that kind of romance and she's encouraging this guy to focus on something other than their relationship, and I really appreciate that

I love love love love this song. It's a celebration of a deep friendship, and jimin and taehyung saying they're platonic soulmates like this is just amazing. I want what they have

When people express romantic feelings for you when you don't reciprocate, it hurts and it's difficult to know what to say (especially when you're repulsed like me), and I feel like this song captures that attitude

While this song is overall sad I find these lyrics really beautiful. Any song that appreciates friendship like this instantly has a place in my heart. It wouldn't be my list without iu. I find the feeling of being surrounded by love, especially in songs, and feeling like you're missing out on something and being tired of hearing about it very relatable (and like with a lot of ius songs I love the nature imagery)

Another song about the importance of friendship and platonic love. I know the members didn't write the lyrics, but it was written about their relationships with each other and how they help each other, and I think that's really beautiful

And tbh I appreciate just any song that isn't about romance because most songs are about romance and I'm tired, it's like a pleasant surprise when I find lyrics that are about anything else

I think I’m sort of in the middle? Taylor knows the amount of hate her exes get when she does these things, it’s not like she’s unaware of her “power”. So in situations like this, and other stuff like the Ginny and Georgia tweet, it does feel like she wants her fans to actively hate on people. But at the same time, she’s built her whole career on sharing her experiences with people and that’s why people relate so much to her. She’s dialed that back so much since the earlier days, she doesn’t do the secret messages anymore. I saw a video the other day showing that debut had “to all the boys who thought they could break my heart, guess what? Here are 14 songs written about you. HA.”. She’s not doing that anymore, probably because she’s a 34 year old woman, but still. She’s clearly dialed that back and it doesn’t look like she’s actively trying to attack anyone. I don’t know where the line is between sharing your story and sending your fans to undeservingly attack your ex. I would also like to add that people exaggerated how good Joe was, he had to be the best at literally everything. If Joe didn’t complain about that, he can’t complain about people making him out to be worse than he actually is. It also makes sense that when Taylor put him on such a high pedestal (again, higher than he should’ve probably been), and then fans put him on an even higher one (Taylor mentioned many problems even in the good songs that I feel fans ignored), that the fall from it would be even bigger. Fans talk about him as if he betrayed them. They’re mad at him because they thought he was perfect and, since Taylor can do no wrong, they have to blame him for anything and everything that could have gone wrong. I think Taylor is at fault for making her fan base what it is, but she also couldn’t have possible known, as a petty 16 year old, that it would ever come to this. So idk, there are some things she might be able to do, but I don’t think they would help that much

I agree with literally EVERYTHING you’ve said (except that there are things she can do bc idk what those would be lol). The reason I was personally so invested in T/J is the songs NEVER made him - or her - out to be perfect and it felt like such a real relationship that was so wonderfully open to us. She made it very clear IN THE SONGS that he’s moody, that he gets cold sometimes and pulls away, that he can be a little sanctimonious and that he can be a little flirtatious with other girls but it never goes further than that. That’s all in the lyrics. And those aren’t great qualities but like come on, you’re never gonna find someone perfect and for 6.5 years-ish it worked. She also made it clear that she’s moody and temperamental and overreacts to shit, that she wants to be acknowledged for the goddess that she is (which imo she is but like I see why when you’re living with her you wouldn’t necessarily feel that way every day), that she takes a lot of things super personally, that she’s petty and a lil basic and that she’s got a whole host of other issues. That’s ALL like FROM HER LYRICS. That’s WHY I was invested in that relationship. Because it was the first time I heard an artist in real time speak through something that was weird and complex and flawed but obviously beautiful??? And I did kinda feel like a friend lol ngl because she shared so much. It almost felt like my friend K’s relationship (the one that kinda set me up with my now bf like she introduced us not expecting a romantic connection but lol neither were we - she was just like “I know you two would have fun together because you’re so similar”) where I constantly think they’re about to break up but I also wouldn’t be shocked if they outlast my bf and me because we… have our own cockroaches in our heads and shit lol and we’re both very temperamental people and like we say this is forever (hence the bracelets) but like what is forever lol yk? He’s tried forever before and failed and I’m personally not willing to commit to that.

fans chose to ignore the lyrics and focus on her telling sessioners he’s the perfect boyfriend which like… should remind fans that sessioners aren’t her friends lol. No one is perfect. She wasn’t claiming he is in the music - which imo is very honest from her POV and that’s why *I* love her. She obviously wasn’t going around claiming that to her friends (“I talk shit with my friends”). But like when she met with randoms wtf else do you want her to say??? Do you meet random people and tell them like “my partner is ok for the most part like I’ll stay but he/she pisses me off sometimes”?

as for connecting all this to teen Taylor idk what you expect lol like do u want a teenage girl to like… not hate her exes??? Especially ones who cheated on her (Samx6) or who moved on really quick (not domestic violence Drew)?? Like obvi she was pissed off and she didn’t expect it to get to… this when she was lol.

but yeah I agree with your thesis and like idk Swifties are weird and if you listen to the music and like apply it to your life she makes the best music in the world imo. I’m not as invested in T/TK as T/J yet because I don’t have the music. It’s the music that really makes me love her. If you don’t love her music or don’t understand it and just like harass her exes like that’s ok the internet is a wild place go ahead but idk if you’re a fan of the music/artist or you’re just a weird person on the internet (of whom there are many).

hi, sorry this is rly random but i kinda need advice. i'm kind of a mess but i hope it's okay to come to you like this.

so i have had Zero romantic experiences since birth, and i just feel so empty because i don't love anyone. i don't know how to love at all, like romantically and with full commitment, but i am yearning from the bottom of my heart. it's so.. heartbreaking to yearn for this kind of experience. i've been alone for too long, independence is not enough anymore. i need to love someone and for someone to love me. but i hate to be the one to chase, i want to attract. but i fear that i'm just not interesting enough. so i always wonder when the time will come. i always work on myself, for myself, and in hopes that maybe someone will look at me the way i love myself. i do love myself but i've always been waiting. i don't want to wait anymore. this is making me really sad, idk how to deal with it.. i'm embarrassed to tell my friends about it, and ofc i won't open up to my family bc i've been put on a pedestal, as someone who doesn't care about relationships. but i do, little do they know.

It’s not silly at all! This is such a valid way to feel. One of my fav underrated new girl quotes is when Winston says “I got so much love to give, man. Why doesn’t anybody want to give it back?” because I FELT that. I wish I had better advice but I’m in a similar boat. I think you and I just have to hold out hope that it’ll happen for us one day and we will find someone who can give us as much love as we can give them 💜💜

Seeing people talk about ChiMondo. And as a person that also really doesn't enjoy it, I kinda wanna say my stuff.

I see them as friends more than anything. That's my big, BIG thing. They're just friends who have a sort of close friendship. They both seem very close in the game, but not enough to make me see the sparks. Chihiro seems to really idolize Mondo and Mondo is a really nice person to him. He's there to protect Chihiro and agreed to help him out before...

Ahem.

They'd think highly of each other.

And like, not saying it'd be abusive and just not a great relationship in general...but it really wouldn't be the best relationship. I think it has to do with, as someone stated, how they'd put the other on a high pedestal and just not really think highly of themselves. I can't remember it correctly but it was something like that. Which could lead to some issues, like envy. And we know how horrible Mondo feels about him and his need to be manly. It could lead to bad blood between them or just...them not really seeing eye to eye as much.

And relationships (romantic) can ruin friendships between two people. So there goes their friendship I guess.

Idk, I just see them as friends. I'm not really into the "They'd be cute together!" They're cute as friends in my eyes. Ya know, just Mondo looking out for Chihiro and Chihiro trying to help him out in any way. And I like the friends to lovers trope, but there's just a version I like. And honestly, they just seem like really great friends who care about one another in a sort of brotherly manner.

Walt and Jesse- It's complicated.

I've watched Breaking Bad two times and while I absolutely love this show, I was unable to draw a conclusion on the nature of Walt and Jesse's relationship.

Like most of the times Jesse mirrors Walt Jr. (Walt Jr. is Walt's son and Jesse is Heisenberg's son- as they say). There's one scene where Walt even calls Walt Jr. 'Jesse' (accidentally, while sleeping). So here comes the father- son type of bonding. During the course of the show, we see that he's growing closer to Jesse instead of his own son. He doesn't do that intentionally, that just sort of happens. It happens because Jr always looks up to him and he kind of puts Walt up on a pedestal. Walt doesn't want to break that kind of image in front of him so in the course of faking he's unable to be close enough with him. Jesse is the one who can see him for what he is because Walt doesn't feel the need to pretend in front of him.

Other times it feels like they really hate each other. As if they're not even friends.

Yet other times it's as if the writers were trying to portray them as a couple lol. (I don't even ship them together but I couldn't NOT notice that aspect). I observed how their relationship was being portrayed as an extramarital affair😅. Skyler always suspects that Walt is seeing someone else and then the camera is cut to just Walt cooking meth with Jesse in the desert. Skyler looks him up on internet, totally expecting a woman but it turns out that it was only Jesse.

While watching it for the first time I thought that I was imagining things that were not even there and I was being delusional but then when I gave it a re-watch, it turned out that those things were still there and I was not imagining it. That part of the dynamic was there especially in S1 and S2 if not in the whole show.

Remember when Jesse was in Gus's house for dinner and Walt was spying on him and was really mad at him? Yeah, I thought that Walt's mad because Jesse didn't do the whole task that he had asked him to do. While that thing was there, I watched a video on YouTube where the writers of that show were discussing about it and one of them said - "It's almost as if lovers were fighting- how dare you have dinner with him. It was pure emotion and zero skill. It was as if everything was over between them." So all this made me feel sure that they were also trying to portray them as a couple at several points of the show.

So then I was wondering about why did Vince Gilligan and others were going with such a complicated dynamic. Because in my opinion the characters (Walt and Jesse) are not gay but their bonding can be a bit like that sometimes.

As if Walt tried to find some weird kind of satisfaction of both type of relationships- (romantic/platonic, whatever) all in one person only i.e., Jesse Pinkman.

Idk what else to say about the two of them. It's like the dual nature of electrons (Heisenberg's uncertainty principle-- symbolic pseudo-name?)

I enjoy checking out creator and actor interviews a lot and I listened to that Variety podcast interview with Sebastian Stan (then one that the Sambucky quote is taken from) and it reminded me, to a certain extent, of how fans just really need to chill out about expecting actors to validate their headcanons.

Sebastian gave what is pretty much the most generous and encouraging answer he could to the question of whether Sambucky is a romantic relationship, and the podcast host still followed up with “okay but tell me if he’s bisexual or not.” Granted, Marc Malkin of Variety is an entertainment journalist rather than a fan, but after Sebastian answered his question about Sambucky he pressed further, saying that all the fans really want is a direct confirmation that Bucky is bisexual. And Sebastian’s response to that was another more rambling thing that basically still amounted to “what do you want from me I’m just the actor.”

And really, I’ve seen this before and people always complain about actors being coy or queer-baiting when they say that you the audience can feel free to interpret their work however you want... but really, sometimes you just have to take them at their word that they are not the ones who decide every canonical facet of their character. At the end of the day this is just a person with a job he likes that he wants to keep and he’s not the person who gets to make that decision, so even if he looked directly into the camera and said “Bucky is bisexual and has fucked so many dudes” it wouldn’t mean anything. He’s just an actor who reads the scripts (when he’s lucky) and gets to put some kind of spin on the character with his performance, but like this dude didn’t even know what was happening in Endgame until he watched it in the theater like the rest of us.

Anyway just thinking about that because I notice all these posts about either respecting celebrities’ personal lives or not putting them on a pedestal and I want to extend that energy into people having some kind of realistic understanding of how much control an actor has over the character. Some actors probably get to exert more influence than others, especially if they’re one of those big names that gets producer credits on their films, but despite how popular Sebastian is within MCU fandom, I think it’s pretty clear that he doesn’t hold the keys to the Marvel kingdom so hounding him for a direct canon confirmation like that is just... weird. Frankly it reminds me of hounding any employee about things outside their direct control. Love them or hate them, Marvel and the MCU is run by a corporation and all the creatives—the writers, directors, the actors, the set designers, etc.—are hired to carry out a vision set by the studio.

And with that said... I feel like this stuff is so often less about “needing representation” versus people just wanting their particular ship or headcanon validated by the actor. And it’s fun, to be sure, when someone involved in the production appreciates fan involvement by sharing a meme or fanwork and indicating that they approve... but Sebastian already does that anyway. He shares tweets and other fanmade stuff on his Instagram, and is patient with fans at conventions who line up to ask him if he felt betrayed by Steve at the end of Endgame, etc. etc.

So idk. What’s the point of this ramble? It’s fine to enjoy the stuff actors share during press tours, but when they’ve made it pretty clear what the extent of their answer to any given question is going to be, just drop it and move on. Not everything has to be treated like a congressional hearing.

Nah I don’t blame Jeff. I blame Harry. This man is a toxic workaholic. Love him to death but really he’s using career business to hide intimacy issues, and to be too busy to ever really have to commit to anyone. You can bet your ass he’s hoping one day he’s open. But he’s standing in his own way so praise Jesus he has a therapist. I have a feeling Jeff checks in and Harry’s like no I’m good I’m good. He wants to be this busy. Jeff isn’t the one who cooked up this toxic relationship. I think Jeff probably hopes Harry finds a Glenne or Sarah too. Most of Harry’s friends seem to be in healthy long term partnerships. Don’t hate on Jeff. Idk what or who’s fault this stunt is but I will say the working shit is all Harry. 100%. Harry is making himself miserable but he has to. This is all meant to happen so he can level up. Redacted is like a boss at the end of a level he has to defeat to move on. What’s the boss? His mommy issues. Love the man to death but he really needs to take his mom off the pedestal he put her on long enough to see his inner childhood trauma that came from her putting her romantic relationships above him. I think he’s working on it now. No hate to Anne either but she’s kinda been umm always in relationships since Des and my mom is like that and I know how that effects kids.

I watched “Imitation” and it was surprising (... okay, I loved it!)

Full disclosure: If you haven’t the slightest interest in kpop, not even in the drama or juicy gossip that produces, this won’t be your thing. I know it’s not a drama for everyone. Stop reading. Just know that OTP (and most characters) had a happy ending but there was a bunch of drama to achieve it. Typical. And a death may or may not have been in the mix.

Well well well... I'm pleasantly surprised, that's the perfect three word review for this drama. It would seem that when those little projects that come out of nowhere and you have no expectations about, turn out to be even a little big good, they made the strongest impression. And this drama is up there in my top 3 of favorite dramas of the year, it has my heart.

Yes, it was about kpop idols and 90% of the cast was made of idols (even one from the very first kpop gen hahaha), yet the acting was decent (and from some, truly great), yes sometimes it got a bit cheesy and silly and yes, there was a ton of drama concerning fans, reporters, dating scandals and bad and greedy CEOs of entertainment agencies BUT it was also sweet, really romantic, funny, lively, full of music (I'm OBSESSED with the last OST which was sung by the whole cast, it makes me FEEL things) and dancing, it had lots friendship and found family AND at times, it was heartbreakingly tragic.

I think this drama tried to tell the audience two important lessons, worthy of mention: the first, work hard for your dreams, don't give up on them but also, you never know what opportunities might come your way that could end up changing your direction and perhaps make you chase something that you never thought you would, so persevere, breathe and hang in there just a bit more; the second, one that we all know if you have a little bit of sense and even if you are mildly informed about the k entertainment which is that idols are just people(most of them teens when they debut some not even 18) who want to and deserve to have a pretty f-ing normal life, so f-ing let them! the consequences of putting these youngsters over a pedestal are catastrophic and there are real life, heartbreaking, examples of this.

Main characters

Ryok: the Golden Boy of kpop, from the most popular boy group, also a an actor (a decent one? Idk they never said). Perfect in every single aspect, except when he is nice to girls who aren't his fans, then they will crucify him. SUPER clumsy whenever his crush is nearby and does something he finds cute, otherwise super cool and chill. Also great at pining for his crush. A romantic, which means he chose the worst career path. My favorite character.

Maha: A bright and optimistic girl with a strong might of perseverance in going after her dreams. Loves dancing. Very sweet and very tiny. Despite appearances, she's not a pushover or weak FL. And that's why I loved her.

Yujin: Second ML by the book. Became an idol because he was pursuing FL (who in turn was pursuing ML). The only reason why I never hated him is because he was a great friend, knew he wasn't doing anything healthy and decided to end his one sided love and opened his eyes. Two words: Character development *chef's kiss*

LaRiMa: A soloist. A Queen. At the start, it looked like she was the typical and mean second FL. But she wasn't, and I adored her for that. She had a heart of gold. She deserved the world, and she knew that so she made decisions accordingly (a Queen chases no one, least of all a man!) lol best character in the drama and my second favorite character (sorry Maha!)

Also starring: The members of SHAX (the leader, SF9′s Hwiyoung, the maknae from Ateez and the funny guy who spoke random english) the group of Golden Boy. Tea Party members (bffs with FL, Riah and HyunJi), Maha’s group. Sparkling members (the very angry and frustrated leader and two members of Ateez whose names I don’t know), second ML group. AND in the longest and most important cameo (ala Go Kyung Pyo in My roommate is a Gumiho) SF9′s Chani, a former member of SHAX, who disappeared into thin air one day.

The story

On paper it doesn't sound like anything groundbreaking (and tbh it really wasn't lol): a story about idols who willingly chose their career path, trained for years while underage, got treated like products by ugly men in suits and realized it kinda sucked, especially when you don't become a hit group and have to protect your personal life like it's a dirty secret that could damage your image and maybe end your career this is why I said it’s not a show for everyone. But this drama is what Dream High 2 (2012) wanted to be and never could in the aspect of actually making you feel something for these idols and the situations they were facing while loving the musical side of the show and making it all believable.

Even if it's not exactly about teens in high school sort of thing, it does give you the same hopeful and uplifting feeling of a coming of age story, especially because the characters are still youngsters trying to be happy and realize their dreams for the future.

And if I haven’t convinced you despite not being appalled by kpop themed dramas, then I guess you should keep reading lol or trust in my taste and judgement when I say the story is worth it (but to be fair the first two eps are a bit slow).

The romance (super spoilery!)

At the core, this show was a love story. What started the plot is the fact that main couple reunite in the same work field as idols, and they actually met and befriended each other years ago; so being older and able to spent more time together brings them closer to finally accept and give into their feelings, but soon enough their relationship becomes a ticking bomb threatening their careers and then this big mystery of how and why SF9' Chani disappeared and abandoned the group becomes really important in the last third of the drama

Because once upon a time, Chani had a gf but she was still a trainee so once their love was exposed (the truth of who exposed him is devastating) and their respective companies threatened them, it all becomes too much too fast and with seemingly no other way out, the girl makes a terrible decision, that ends up changing the lives of most of the characters.

I’m sure this is from a bts but their chemistry was really good and sweet. Also, height difference to die for!!

Yet, there is a happy ending for main couple but it's only achieved after certain people learn from their mistakes and support Ryok and Maha, which makes it clear that no matter how in love and willing you are to face adversities for and with your loved one, you still need a support system (and maybe the right people in a position of power) because sometimes two against the world isn't as romantic as it sounds, but sad and lonely.

And the main reason why I loved this is because of the way the show drew a parallel between the two most important couples in the story and tells the audience “had it been even a year before, under different circumstances and less luck, had they had no friends and no people to support them, main couple would’ve ended in the same tragic way” and I think that is a haunting realization. That also makes you appreciate things.

The bad (spoilers!)

I do wish this drama would’ve elaborated on some bits that were really worth diving into, or that it would’ve shown how some things came intro fruition instead of just skipping it and showing rigth away the outcome of conversations that were never had or reunions never shown. It is clear to me that they wanted to make the drama longer and could have told a better story had it been a 16 ep show.

Basically yes, the main story, main romance and side couples' arcs got resolved but ugh a list of plot holes:

Why was LaRiMa so obsessed with Ryok for half the drama? The minute the girl knew he was dating someone he truly liked, she gave up right away, so I gotta believe the only reason she didn’t quit on him before, is because he did gave her a reason to hold onto him. Perphaps they dated before? Or maybe they like each other at one point? I can only do fanfiction in my head to explain this.

Why was the angry leader of Sparkling such a bitter bitch? How did he end up in another company?

I wanted to see SF9′s Chani reunion with his ex-members from SHAX. It NEEDED to happen. At least they showed Chani with Ryok (which was really emotional) but arrgh.

Also, Chani deserved a kneeling apology from SHAX leader, I mean, come on!!

If everyone knew about Maha and Ryeok at some point, they needed to use that. You can’t just have a bomb like that in your drama and not use it. Is a principle of storytelling. You can’t just have the thing that your main characters fear the most, in your hands, and do nothing about it. But I guess it was not done because of lack of time.

Also, they never showed how they announced their relationship. Instagram post? Company statement? An exclusive to Dispatch? And how did the fans took it?? Answers, drama! Damn it!!

Final thoughts

Despite its many flaws, I loved it. It had heart. It seemed low budget and even more so due to the fact that it was done in the middle of the pandemic and a big part of kpop are the fans and concerts, you know what makes it all the more big and shinier. But the drama people and the actors put effort into it, and you could tell (and the fact that there were also original songs and choreographies made for this drama amazes me, and that they chose to promote the drama by having some of these fake groups perform on actual music shows). So there you go, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Before I finish, let me just say that the actor who played Ryok is a REVELATION in my eyes.This boy needs to stay in dramaland and get more main roles (and after some research I’m happy to say that he is thriving!!). Also, he has great timing for comedy. The actress who played Maha elevated the quality of every scene she was in. (Not for nothing she was God in DAYS). Jiyeon (LaRiMa) was excellent. It really showed at times that she’s not only an experienced idol but also an experienced actress. The contrast with most of the cast was noticeable, sadly. The drama wouldn’t have been the same without these three.

Also, watch AND listen to the last OST sung by the whole cast here. Beautiful song that just makes you cry if you’ve seen the drama.

well like i said for tecna/helia, i don't really see them as a strong romantic ship, but a very strong platonic one! i didn't notice this until just recently, but they surprisingly have a lot in common! they're both major perfectionists that hate to seem incapable around people (especially people they like), they both have a hard time talking about their feelings (although tecna more so), and they're both incredibly passionate about their interests. and like,, that's just the surface level stuff yknow?

for them, i think they would have a hard time becoming friends when they first meet. there would be some mutual respect, but no real desire to become Best Buds™ yknow? but after they actually get to know each other, i think there would be a lot of envy of both of their parts. tecna would feel envious at how helia is able to communicate with people and talk about emotions. helia would feel envious at how seemingly perfect tecna is and how she doesn't let emotions get in the way of her job. and after they stop dancing around each other and just talk one on one they would realize how similar they are and how different their approaches to life are.

after that i can totally see them being best buds! they would hang out and just silently work together (tecna on her gadgets and helia on his art yknow). they're both relatively quiet but not afraid to speak their minds so you know they would have a lot to say in private. i really enjoy the tecna/riven and riven/helia dynamics as well so riven can join them. as a treat. idk i just think tecna/helia platonic dynamic is really interesting and if rainbow allowed them to be friends, they would be really good together!

i also have a personal headcanon that helia isn't great with technology and the Person Who Is Amazing With Tech/Person Who Knows Jack Shit dynamic is really funny to me ajhdgljadh

i didn't really ship icy with anyone for the longest time. i don't love any of her canon love interests (icy/tritannus is,, weird but interesting but still boring and meh). again, that one guy in the comics was cool but they never went anywhere with that and eventually they stopped being interesting to me. there are a couple of non-canon icy ships that i don't mind, but none of them have ever really stood out to me.

icy/helia was something that i made jokes about in like. high school. with my friends. we noticed that icy kept falling for guys with long hair (aka literally just valtor and tritannus??) and then we joked that maybe she would like helia next. then when i watched s6, their scenes together in the darkwood episodes stood out to me because i remember it was literally like. the first time helia had ever called out the one of the trix by their names. so it was startling and also funny.

after that i kind of just started thinking about their dynamic and idk... the more i thought about it, the more it intrigued me? obviously for it to work it would need to be a universe where icy is good or helia is bad just cause,, yknow. but i think even if they aren't on the same side, there would be some mutual respect there. icy would definitely underestimate him at first and then be pleasantly surprised when he's actually.. capable of things. and helia would underestimate icy in thinking that she's just some crazy witch only to realize that she's actually capable of thinking things through and coming up with good plans and just,, being a relatively good leader.

i think in order for them to work properly, they would need to be around each other enough for them to see each other in action. it definitely wouldn't be a love at first sight thing like it was with florelia. while they might think the other one is pretty when they first meet, they would also need to know what the other person is capable of and i think that's what would get them to like each other. but i can totally see them being able to let down their guards around each other. listen i Love florelia they're literally my favorite ship, but they really put each other on a pedestal which isn't healthy for either of them. icy also has a bad habit of really looking up to her romantic interests and thinking they're so much cooler than they really are. i think icy/helia is one of the rare icy and helia ships where neither party would end up doing that.

they would be able to talk about their emotions without the fear of being seen as weak. they would be able to fail without having a breakdown because the other Might think less of them. they would be able to just be themselves and i think for me personally that's very desirable in a relationship. they would have mutual respect for each other without putting anyone on a pedestal. and they would be able to have fun too! i can totally see icy and helia chilling at an ice cream parlor or by a lake. (not gonna lie but the helia/trix sibling dynamics are one of the reasons i'm starting to really like icy/helia. i think helia and darcy would get along so well and stormy would be like a chaotic little sister to him. so.. it would be nice for them to actually like one of icy's partners alkhgladjhgl)

but one of the main reasons i really like this ship is that i think they would be relatively blunt with each other. there wouldn't be any jealousy or fear of the other leaving them because they would be so upfront about it. "you don't have to worry about that person. if i didn't like you, i wouldn't be with you :))" they're just.. so funny and lowkey endearing to me? i think icy/helia would be a really fun ship to explore!

also i think they just look good together aesthetically ajhgljadhg (i tried to draw them together a while ago but it didn't turn out as good as it looked in my head 😔)

Im tired and its probably gonna be an incomprehensible post but i feel like doing a little bit of ranting (so like, read it in a tired slow voice heheh)

Its abt how the relationship between goggles and rider is from my perspective. Like. (W hachi too)

Rlly to me the two of them like, really built this relationship of seeing each other as equal? Rider does sort of act a bit mean when there's other people in earshot in the beginning but really when rider and goggles are doing agent things or even just interracting in the later parts of the arcs rider like clearly sees him as an equal or higher kinda thing in the present. And i really like that cuz like even tho gogs is a goofball he's still being acknowledged as a pretty good turf war player like, all the time at least by rider! It's nice in a sense tho i totally cant think hard enough to provide examples esp when my brain wants a dif talkin point

On goggles end i know its tru with most of the big bad arc antagonists but i like just. The friendliness he ends up offering rider and you can really see how it helps to soften his demeanor over time yknow? I think its like, something rider probably needed/appreciated since every other inkling was always so scared or made him out to be mean. But then here's this idiot with an undertone of bravery in there (because you don't exactly need brains to be brave or walk right up to the guy that's been put on such a lofty pedestal and actively hates teaming)

And whoops adding hachi time but like. I like to think goggles talked about rider to hachi plenty and made him out to be how he saw him - kind, strong and really cool in general. And hachi is like, another impact on rider cuz like this octo who doesnt know him and from his knowledge should probably dislike him for taking back zapfish just helped rescue him along with goggles. Yes yg team is a big help cuz they care and love rider as friends i feel there's something a lil special about an octoling that should have beef just liking you immediately. This octoling immediately cherishes u in a similar manner to goggles who helped you grow as a person bit by bit how do you feel.

lily : how does your muse view their mother ?

magda doesn’t know a lot abt her mum. she knows vague snippets n details bt they’re all very elusive. it’s kind of a tricky subject where her mum’s concerned bc when she was younger she’d come up w all these assumptions abt how her mum was n who she’d be if she were with her but the rational part of magda was like..... u don’t know any of this. ur literally making things up. it’s kind of hard for a kid to have that vital person missing from their life n to resist the urge to fill in the blanks with their own projections so the space feels less empty. it’s like having a tooth missing n ur tongue always going back to poke at the spot in ur gum. there’s a constant reminder of loss in that. magda knows her mum liked to sing bc her dad said once she’d always sing to her belly when she was pregnant. this is a lot of the reason why magda has always cared so much abt music bc she took this fact in her fist n grasped it tight n never let go n in a way grew parts of herself around it. it’s like............. i feel like her mum dying in childbirth gave her lots of issues when it comes to her identity n like. who she is n who she wants to be.......... bc of magda’s issues w her dad i feel like she got into this habit growing up of rly putting who her mum could have been on a pedestal n basing everything around that.... she’d be like I’m More Like Her (a belief which was only accelerated bc her dad would drunkenly say she looked so much like her) n cling onto that so she liked herself more bc the other option was her dad who she loves but he’s also an incredibly flawed person n they hv a complicated relationship...... i think as she’s gotten older she’s realised her mum cld very well have been that way too n putting people on pedestals isn’t the way to go about things but. idk. as a kid she was kind of obsessed w this idea of her n this idea that her mum being gone was the beginning n end of everything wrong in her life. for the most part now magda accepts she never knew her n sometimes even feels stupid for grieving her at all bc she never knew her to grieve in the first place but. there’s a tiny part of magda tht still hangs on to the comfort of what she could have had n it’s obvious by the fact she still keeps a photograph of her folded up in her pillow. she loves the mum she made up in her head n she wishes she got to meet her. there’s this sense tht maybe then she wouldn’t feel like this culmination of missing parts more than a person if she’d had that in her life. sighs n lks away holding my dyed black emo bang.....

cricket is like. the strangest little anomaly of a person FGHKSFGHSFKGH bc like. u would rly think that after everything he’s been thru he would just have this absolutely jaded view of people and life in general and i wouldn’t even......... blame him for it if he did like. i’d understand completely bc he’s experienced A Lot of bad stuff. n yet somehow he just.... idk. i think i wrote in a reply once this comparison of cricket n a cockroach in the sense that they have this incredibly reinforced exoskeleton n even if they’re stomped flat they can keep living n bounce back from it n that’s very him but it’s more specifically the hope inside him. he has this little candle lit that good things can still happen midst all of the terrible things n i genuinely can’t see it snuffing out at any point even tho sometimes he might want it to. sometimes i think he even gets into these frames of mind where it jst infuriates the fk out of him bc in his head he’s like why do u even think good shit can happen when u have sm overwhelming evidence to the contrary but then he’s also like. look u can dwell on the bad or u can notice the way the light falls thru the leaves in the trees and u can think to urself inside ur head as u listen to someone u love talking abt something that makes them happy ‘hey this feeling is nice n there’s a dozen others like it’. idk. against all odds he’s an optimist. he has tinnitus in his left ear n sometimes he pretends the ringing is angels trying to talk to him. he likes to search for the silver linings in things to make them bearable n that’s how he gets by. obviously he knows there’s evil in the world n that a lot of people can be shit bc he has firsthand experience w that but he also believes there are people to serve as the antithesis to that n he wants to focus on them bc like. why give bad stuff the time of day. not necessarily always a positive coping mechanism (if u bottle up bad feelings n thoughts they leak thru one way or another aka his overwhelming anxiety) but like.... i think there’s a lot of bravery in that n i respect him for it i won’t lie. he cld have become very bitter bt instead he’s like that quote that’s like 'the gentleness that comes, not from the absence of violence, but despite the abundance of it'. suddenly slaps his little anxious rump (supportive) (affectionate)

it’s hard to say w ziggy............... i feel like he doesn’t want to think he’s prone to jealousy bc he’s like i’m literally a god wdym i simply wld never give a fk bc i know i’m above all else................. but like. do u actually believe that ziggy. do u. chrysanthemum : how does your muse express romantic love ? how do they feel about love as a concept ?

bradley is kind of hard to read romantically like from an outside perspective but slides on my thin rimmed spectacles n picks up my scalpel to delve right in to the nitty gritty of her brain... omg... that sounded... kind of scary actually but. it’s ok. basically settles in. bradley struggles to verbalise her feelings in this regard but also in a general sense honestly.... like she’s spent a lifetime having any vulnerable or negative feeling shut down....... her dad’s the type of personality where it’s like... u can’t win. even tho he’s narcissistic n thinks he’s a god if u compliment him or express affection he’ll act pleased but there’ll also be this register in his eyes where he thinks less of u for it. so this rly had a domino effect in bradley’s emotional expression in all grounds of life...... romance is probably the most frivolous concept to tony so bradley definitely internalised some of these views n wld feel stupid for ever taking anything seriously in that regard or rly investing herself..... she also just. idk. love has only ever left bite marks in bradley’s world so she’d kind of like ‘why wld i ever expose my tender spots n open myself up to someone just so they can sink their teeth in’. i will say tho that like. despite that she can in rare instances develop those feelings n it’s always like..... quite a struggle for her when she does. she doesn’t rly understand it or how to deal w it. she finds talking about it hard n she feels childish or weak in the eyes of whoever knows how she’s feeling. it takes a long time n a lot of work to earn it bt bradley in love is like. ur the only person on the planet who knows how gentle she can b. she’d literally like. touch the face of this one guy i wrote her being in love w when he was sad so gently it was shocking it ws like a love tht deep unlocked a whole other part of her she didn’t know existed. sex is a big part of her love expression jst like. a lot of it. so much. nyla honestly doesn’t mind silence at all........ they always wake up rly early in the morning no matter what time they went to bed. it’s like someone programmed an oven timer into their brain n often when they wake up at 6am or something they’ll go on walks around irving tottering in their own little world which is quite a quiet experience in itself when the rest of the world’s asleep........... always off on impromptu adventures they came up w on the spot.......... sometimes they get lost in their own train of thought too so they just randomly fall silent bc they’re having a whole conversation w themselves inside their head or like. writing a whole children’s story abt an iguana in a trench coat floating in a hot air balloon smoking a little vintage pipe all the way to peru. honestly for every 1 thing nyla says there’s about 4987295749572592745 things they don’t say tht are x100 times stranger n more nonsensical they sort of let it all drift thru their head like an open sieve for the most part. having said tht i think in order to sleep at night they probably need some sort of white noise or smthn................. it’s handy living in a beach house bc they just leave the window open to let the ocean gush bt sometimes if they’ve snuck into like. mido’s bed fr the night or someone’s bed idk the sound of them breathing works too................. they used to always sleep w bob ross playing on loop n that was rly comforting to them esp bc he reminds them a lot of their dad w his calming voice n energy.............. sometimes they’d have taken smthn n they’d literally hallucinate it as their dad instead of bob ross n this happened so many times in a row fr a period of time tht when they finally watched it sober they were like wtf since when did they recast my dad in this show...... KJHFGSHFGKSHFKGH but also. frowns... bit sad considering.

not to be dramatic on my main or put tmi on my main but

while i know that fan fictions aren't like an actual representations of relationships dynamics (romantic and sexual) they have made me realize how shallow all my interactions when it comes to love have been, and when it comes to sex it's even worse.

i look back and see that i have never once enjoyed myself, always thinking that it was what i had to do to make someone stay, as long as they get off it's fine, i have never had an orgasm ffs lmao, i had never had an intimate moment, i just like to be done with it, i hate the feeling of being naked both physically and u know, emotionally.

I have put love and sex in a pedestal, and a part of me wants them to stay there, i can forget the boring sex, because i keep waiting that someone will appear and my brain will go "oh this is how it's supposed to be like", like everyone else before them will seize to exist, and idk, it's like a paradox, i want to experience pleasure i don't want it to be with someone random, i want to feel connected.

Non-sequitura Disney in-depth analysis (after making a tier list)

Warning: SUPER longform. If you don’t know a movie well, you should skip the summary. I tried to be light on spoilers, but they’re there.

I went chronologically from favorite to least favorite. So S tier is, in order from fave to least fave, The Incredibles, WALL-E, then Zootopia.

S tier (Something I consider high quality AND a movie I greatly enjoy. I would love more Disney movies be like this.)

The Incredibles - one of my favorite movies of all time, possibly THE favorite. Rockin social commentary, epic action scenes, memorable characters, not a minute of screentime wasted, great take on the Fantastic Four, hilarious parts for both adults and children, an interesting villain, etc.

WALL-E - I love how social commentary was done here. Also skies above, what a beautiful love story. Really blazed a trail in non-verbal storytelling (especially given it was an animated kids film!) Robot animations are particularly delightful.

Zootopia - another social message delivered excellently and entertainingly. I love Judy and her persistence, I love the expressiveness of the faces and the epic city setting. I love Judy and Nick's banter. This movie deserves to be remembered longer than it has been so far. Admittedly, not one of my fave villains, which makes it my least favorite of the Ss.

A tier (either super high quality or something I greatly enjoy and deem of at least reasonably good quality)

Mulan - this movie did everything right. Truly feminist protagonist, an icon for strong Asian women, fairly culturally accurate (tho Mushu confuses me), GORGEOUS and iconic music. Lets a relatively natural romance develop. I frickin love the action scenes, I love the emporer. Sadly, this movie just didn't lodge its way in my heart as well as Pixar did. Pixar just has some magic, yo.

Cinderella - my gosh what an underrated protagonist. Her family straight-up abuses her and she never loses sight of her goals for a better life. Iconic visuals helped bring Disney out of bankruptcy. A gorgeous alto singing voice.

Wreck-it Ralph - alright alright ppl don’t crucify me for this. I honestly can’t think of much wrong with this movie. Vanellope and Ralph’s vitriolic best buds relationship is adorable, her forgiveness of him is heartwarming and (relatively) deserved, rockin’ Owl City song, epic visuals that mix together bc of all the different games. ALSO ONE OF THE BEST DISNEY VILLAINS NO CAP. One of the only twist villains I like. And we stan the romantic pairing.

Tangled - I’ve talked about this a lot, but Rapunzel deserved the whole world after what she’s gone through. That being said, Gothel is not some shallow monster she needs to escape from, but an intelligent, well-defined monster with backstory. I could totally see this story happening if the world of Tangled existed. Epic love story, hilarious dialogue. Music is… good but much of it is less memorable to me. Visuals are good but not quite at the level/creativity of many other disney films.

The Lion King - they really put Hamlet in Africa and pulled it off lol. But in all seriousness, no one took the premise of this film seriously at the time and it became sooo iconic. I love Scar and his eventual downfall, I love how Simba grows emotionally, I love the sad moments that don’t overpower the overall feeling of light goofiness. And music so memorable it was one of the first Disney musicals.

Coco - not a super unique story premise. But an incredible culture to explore with such creativity and sensitivity. I love the themes of death not being the worst and music being so central to the story. Twist/twist villain was memorable and not expected. And yeah, it did make me cry, so props there.

Ratatouille - the most recently watched of these films for me. This movie is soooo unique! Back when Pixar was truly super out there with their concepts. Super Parisian visuals and soundtrack. It somehow starts goofy (THE OLD LADY TRIES TO KILL REMY WITH A SHOTGUN WHILE WEARING A GAS MASK) but really drives home the message that you can truly do what you want regardless of who you are. Colette can get it. And the monologue by Ego at the end is one of my favorites in film.

Frozen - Anna is one of my favorite Disney protagonists. She’s so resilient and loyal. Elsa ain’t bad either but she experiences… less character development. The film is a tad too pleased with its own self-awareness for my taste, but there’s no denying how iconic the music and visuals were.

Inside Out - Alright, this movie hits home for me bc I tried to run away after moving. A super thoughtful, heartfelt depiction of (potentially depression? imo) with great moments of humor. Riley’s inner world is so creative and lovely. Also realistic depictions of Minnesota/California culture.

Tarzan - Jane! is! smart! and! adorable! Her scientific curiosity makes her very endearing. it’s so cute to see her and Tarzan learn from each other. Also Tarzan’s “found mother” is epic. Solid score. Solid film all around. To quote Lily Orchard, “This film is what Pocahontas tried to be.”

B tier (one of my favorites but has a few significant flaws that bring it down (or not quite as memorable to me, but consider good quality))

Peter Pan - Haven’t seen it in a hot sec, but I remember being super charmed by this as a kid. Just going out, having incredible adventures, and returning to a warm home at the end of the day. Tinker Bell is hilarious and beautifully drawn. Gets major negative points for the depiction of Native Americans tho.

Big Hero 6 - I was super charmed by the protagonist, his family/friends, and the setting. The plot/villain’s motivations are a bit of a mess, though.

Princess and the Frog - This movie has so much flavor to it! The visuals/music are lovely and unique. Tiana is incredible but it’s kinda annoying how EVERYONE keeps trying to shoehorn her into romance. The thing is, her goals are entirely reasonable. Focus on her restaurant, then look to settle down. But they’re like “nooo you’re ignoring the important things in life” smh. Also, epic villain, woohoo! The movie dragged significantly for me when they were in the bayou. Charlotte is delightful.

Winnie the Pooh - don’t remember it super well, but I think it was charming and occasionally dark, which is an addictive concoction.

The Little Mermaid - MAN ppl roast Ariel way more than she deserves. Visually, it was… fine. idk. This movie is good. I don’t have much else to say about it.

Snow White - the one that started it all. Visually, super impressive. Musically, lovely. I find the romance a bit… off. Well, more than a bit. What is it with Disney and kissing sleeping people?

Alice in Wonderland - a nerdy acid trip. Right up my alley! I also like films where ppl go on incredible adventures and return to the status quo, but THEY changed bc of it. Epic. SUUUUPER creative visual interpretation of Carroll’s book. Brave - gosh I loooove films where a parent and child learn to understand each other. Never got why ppl hated this movie so much. The Scottish flavor is present and fun. Merida made one mistake and made it up. The arrow scene is iconic.

Cars - a fun ride! (hahaha puns.) We love seeing Paul Newman as a car.

B-minus tier? (same as B, but problematic, or weaker story-wise.)

Hunchback - man… settings-wise, this film might be my favorite. I also love Esmeralda and Quasimodo as characters and as a duo (though the sexualized depiction of Romani ppl is not epic.) I also don’t find the discrimination against Esmeralda/Quasimodo jarring bc it matches the time period. Frollo is super interesting as a villain. The gargoyles are… def not necessary. Basically, this film doesn’t know what it’s doing with tone.

Sleeping Beauty - Aurora was my favorite when I was younger because I thought she was the prettiest, and that still defines how i feel about this, basically. Visually lovely - everything is kind of elongated and gothic. Maleficent is spiteful and epic. I have no issue with the fluffier parts of the movie, like the music or the fairies. RIP for lack of consent being a plot point, though.

Hercules - Megara is incredible. one of the only Disney “princesses” who acts like an adult and has cynicism as a major part of her personality. I love her and Herc’s progression where she learns to trust him (yes, he is genuinely that sincere, it’s not a front.) Muses are unique, whoever came up with them was high on something and I’m living for it. I just think the plot itself was somewhat unrealistic/ weirdly-paced. There are some memorable songs, some less-than-memorable songs. Art style is cool but I’m personally not a fan. EXTREMELY inaccurate depictions of the original Greek gods.

C tier (entertaining, but I don't consider it a great movie)

Bolt - I watched this like 11 years ago. It was fun! A cool concept about those put on a pedestal learning their worth even without celebrity boosting them up. Animation was… fine I think. not super memorable to me.

Frozen 2 - They really took any scrap of character development Elsa had in the first movie, threw it in the garbage and set it on fire. Anna deserved so much better. Songs are bombastic and impressive, have the occasional interesting lyric, but are really weirdly placed and none are quite as iconic as the first movie’s (except Aurora, she does great work here. Also the song Anna sings after she thinks Elsa died.)

Not a big fan of the vaguely homeopathic theme. Not a big fan of Olaf’s WEIRD character development. Not a big fan of the suuuuuper awkward dialogue and the animations that imply not only that Kristoff is into his reindeer but that Elsa and Anna are into each other (if you’re questioning if they did that, yes, they did, I can find screenshots of some really weird expressions/moments. THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO PANDER TO YOUR WEIRD FANS, DISNEY.)

The voice actors did great work, the animators did great work (look at the details on their clothes! Look at how Elsa’s posture changes to be more confident! look at how they're animated while they're singing!) Some weird costume/makeup choices that make Elsa look like an aging starlet, but she also has some gorgeous moments so eh. It’s a wash for me.

They really did not know what to do with Kristoff this movie, huh. The only thing that happened to him was singing a cheesy 90s ballad and marrying Anna, both of which were admittedly epic. Also, the trolls got 0 appearances despite being literally psychic. Probably could have helped with a lot. I'm not a huge fan of lore/worldbuilding, and thee was a lot of it here. Overall neutral on it.

Also a big theme in this movie I don’t love - **** TANGIBLE CONSEQUENCES TO OUR ACTIONS!!! The danger is Elsa’s death, the elements, colonialism, and Arendelle literally being destroyed. None of those end up playing out, so I was left at the end going “this film had literally no stakes.”

Monsters U - same as above - entertaining at the time! Not super memorable. The ppl we were supposed to dislike kept switching. Doesn’t really match the canon of Monsters Inc (I thought they were supposed to have known each other since childhood so why did they meet in college?)

Cars 3 - so apparently, everyone HATED this movie! Fun! I never watched Cars 2 (yes watched Cars 1 if you haven’t been paying attention to this list), but I didn’t think this movie was bad at all. Well-acted, some fun chase scenes, the scene where Lightning fails at driving in the simulation is genuinely hilarious, and some interesting perspectives on teachers getting the spotlight for their skills for once.

Incredibles 2 - I liked this film at first, but then it was… just okay in retrospect. I love me some good family dynamics. The plot here makes not a lot of sense. THEY BUILT UP THE UNDERMINER FOR NOTHING AND THEN FORGOT ABOUT HIM. I was surprised by the villain swap, but it happened so last minute I never really understood their motivations even after they explained them. Tried to tackle waaaay too many messages.

D tier (I didn't enjoy these or consider them mediocre)

Finding Dory - Maybe I should have put this higher? Like C tier at least. Ah well. Wasn’t a huge fan of the body/physical comedy (not my thing), but it was entertaining and awww finding family is heartwarming.

Finding Nemo - I remember nothing about this movie.

E tier (this film has significant problems)

Beauty and the Beast - *sigh*… I want to love this movie. The score is gorgeous. Visually, they could have made it more distinctly Rococo-era France but didn’t (why?) The voice actors did good work and I think Paige O’Hara is SUPER underrated here.

The Beast is emotionally manipulative with an awful temper that (for MOST of the movie. He doesn’t change.) That’s the main reason this is in E tier. This movie shaped so many generations of people thinking they can change the behavior of someone who treats them badly through the power of love. But you can’t. She learns to “love” the beast under coercion. It’s not Stockholm syndrome - it’s a trashy romance novel. Big fan of Gaston as a villain. He’s an archetype ppl can recognize and it’s so satisfying to hate him.

F tier (I think this film actively harms the industry and would rather it not have been made. Both the one in E tier could be considered harmful to the industry, but I think they had significant enough artistic accomplishments to scrape above that. I'm also generally a fan of "lack of censorship bc it's better to teach what not to do.")

Pocahontas - this movie took real historical events and romanticized them AND sexualized one of the only Native princesses they’ve had. Boo. Nothing wrong with animation!Pocahontas as a character, it’s just people put her in a story that doesn’t represent history well at all (and these historical events, unlike those in say, 14th-century Germany, had super relevant effects on people alive today.) And they portrayed the Native Americans and colonial settlers as equally in the wrong. (though I like Governor Radcliffe as a potential villain and love the line “see how I glitter.” I can’t NOT laugh when I hear it.) Lovely music, though. Nice animation, but the colors are weirdly… muted?

Bad Garbage (I don't wish this film had never been made, but I wish I never had to see it.)

Planes - this movie was ridiculous. I remember not much about it except that I kinda hated it and that it was super cheesy with tension one could see right through that immediately resolved itself via one twist or another.

Haven’t seen tier: Recess, A Bug’s Life, A Goofy Movie, DuckTakes Movie, Lilo and Stitch, Pinocchio (actually i have seen this but I remember nothing about it), The Nightmare before Christmas, Toy Stories 1, 2, and 3, Up, 101 Dalmatians, The Great Mouse Detective, Cars 2, Moana, The Good Dinosaur, Pete’s Dragon, Fantasia, Peter Pan Return to Neverland, Fantasia 2000, The Black Cauldron (read the book, though!), Bambi (or I did and remember nothing about it), The Rescuersm, The Rescuers Down Under, Planes Fire and Rescue, Bambi 2, The Fox & the Found, Oliver and Company, Atlantis, Treasure Planet (I want to, though), Piglet’s Big Movie, The Jungle Book, the Emporer’s New Groove, The Jungle Book 2, Chicken Little, Brother Bear, The Three Caballeros, Pooh’s Heffalump Movie, Dumbo, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, Aladdin (seen parts but never the whole thing), Strange Magic, The Sword in the Stone, James and the Giant Peach, Frankenweenie, Lady and the Tramp, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Doug’s 1st Movie, Monsters Inc. (want to, though), Meet the Robinsons, Dinosaur, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, The Tigger Movie, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, that pooh movie at the end without the title on it
