originally this was just gonna be one character so thank mazzy for convincing me to make him a poly duo instead lmfao. ik i have things to finish but like,,, boys 🫶

not too proud of this one so ill probs revise it or make a part two at a l8r time when im feeling less rusty

the boys next door were the two that everyone knew of as a pair.

sebastian and tobias grew up together, learned together, played together, and shared absolutely everything practically since they were born. they were what people thought of when the words 'best friends' came to mind.

nothing could or would ever come between the two boys, everyone said.

so it was no shock that when you came in and quite literally got between them — by virtue of moving into the vacancies that separated their homes — their instant mutual attraction to you would do nothing but strengthen the bond between them.

it was odd. any additions to their relationship was unheard of, but...

the boys next door shared everything. you didn't think that'd exclude you, did you?

toby and sebastian were quick to befriend you when you entered their life. you were around their age, practically the only other child in the area at that; but unlike the children at school who they'd turn away from in favor of each other, they readily made you part of their dynamic.

they didn't quite understand the feelings you gave them at first, they were too young to. all they really knew is that they liked being around you, they liked talking about you, and they wanted you to themselves.

when you were young, everything became about you. their favorite games involved them being your loyal knights, or bodyguards, or any other role that involved protecting you from whatever threat their little minds could imagine up.

and when you grew tired of playing the damsel in distress? they were fine with it. whatever you wanted from them, you got. sebastian's gaming console was practically yours with how much he pushed you to play on it. toby would beg his parents to get him any toy he'd seen you show interest in; and he'd always eventually get them for you.

they didn't want you to ever be bored around them. you'd always have a good time on their watch, and they spoiled you relentlessly to the best of their abilities.

you were theirs, now! and you took care of what was yours, no matter what. that's what both of them were taught.

they grew up with you. learned with you. played with you, and of course, they shared you — even as the three of you grew up.

everyone around you saw how much they adored you, too. when asked, the two boys would proclaim how they'd both marry you in the future. it was so cute! no one saw an issue with how they always took up as much time and attention as they could from you. or how you never really seemed to be able to make friends with other kids at your school...

you had your best friends, so it didn't matter. they were all you needed.

the pair grew to love their constant close proximity to you. it ensured that they'd know what was going on in your life at all times as you grew and developed. when you weren't all hanging out together, it wouldn't be unusual for the pair to simply watch your home from their windows, glimpsing into your windows to watch you go about your life.

you were turning into a fine young adult. but you still needed their protection! they both easily surpassed you in size as you all grew up — sebastian in particular, who's height was staggering compared to both you and toby. he liked the edge it gave him, and how intimidating he could be when needed. tobias didn't have that advantage, but everyone liked him enough to respect you as his territory anyway. you were so small and sweet, what if someone saw you the way they did? they couldn't have that, they had no choice but to keep you to themselves.

it felt like you always had at least one of the two at your side at all times. so much so that it felt odd when you were without either of them. sebastian and toby being by your side was as natural as breathing and you grew to never really question their behavior.

they were just making sure you were okay when they insisted on keeping you company when you were home alone. when toby took your first kiss, it was because it only made sense — it should go to someone you trust and care about, right? and when you told the two that you were still a virgin well into adulthood (which they knew, of course), they insisted on being your first.

they knew you better than anyone, they'd know how to make you feel good. and who better to give your virginity to than your best friends?

getting to claim your body, inside and out, was one of the best moments of their lives. no one would ever get to have you the way they did.

no matter what you'd do, where you'd go, you'd always be effected by them in some way — and that's exactly how they wanted it. they'd always be your first best friends, your first boyfriends, your first everything. and you'd always be theirs.

the boys next door would always be entangled in your life. but you wouldn't have it any other way, would you?

they know you better than anyone, after all.

His name. He blew up in quarantine and only streamed gameplay and sat down. He only ever explained his name like,,, once or so and that was way back, the succes came slowly and so he never felt the need to explain it again. After a while some pointed out his name and i like,,, blew up! He was on the twitter trending page for a whole week! But he was only cancelled for a day or two(?) before he uploaded a video laughing tears. The mother fucker probably used it as clickbait on the preview banner pannel thingy (wtf are those called??) and in the title. I mena,,,, imagine!! “!SPEAKING UP about the recent ALLEGATIONS! (EMOTIONAL) (CW: CRYING)” and probably ant like “(real) (not fake!)(fuck clickbait)” or something. He would troll the shit out of social media for it

Ike

Probably like queerbaiting or some shit. Like he’ll go “holy shit, i’m so gay!” And people will go “I THOUGHT HE HAS A GF” and hotshot is just watching the whole thing, making fun of him for D A Y S while he’s cancled and she’s like “hOw dArE yOu bE bIsExUAl?!”

Having a problematic mod. People say shit like he’s just ignoring that fact. But he legitimately just did not now. He wasn’t online for a solid two days and when he was it was to stream so he had to find out by chat, but he thought chat was joking and so one thing led to another and uh yeah. By the time hotshot called him asking why he was joking about that sort of stuff and he realised that it was true, the tag was already trending.

This is not a poll you can vote on but I'd like to introduce people to the polycule ship of Willow/Hunter/Gus from The Owl House. Personality-wise, they are all really smart, sweet, and strong and help each other through trauma and anxiety because they love each other.

Canonically, Hunter and Gus are bi and Willow is pansexual.

Hunter/Willow is canon but most of the fandom doesn't like Hunter/Willow/Gus because of a two year age gap between Gus (14 - he's super smart and skipped grades) and Hunter (16) (Willow is 15) but the fandom literally calls them The Emerald Trio and people adore them as friends. But I am here to convince you that they are in love !!

Willow and Gus are best friends who first bond over dealing with anxiety and not having any friends. Very sad but they become besties and support each other! Gus is also very protective of Willow when they first meet Hunter.

Hunter has had a lot of trauma in his life that he thinks is totally okay and normal. He has never known anyone around his age (16) or had friends until meeting Willow and Gus by joining their sports team at school. The teamwork!!

He has an ulterior motive for joining the team but has a change of heart when he sees how much he's hurt Willow and he puts himself in harm's way to protect the team. Willow is smitten with Hunter after this and they canonically send cute photos of their "pets" back and forth even though Hunter is technically the enemy. (Enemies to friends to lovers!)

Hunter runs away from home and Gus gives him food and starts to try and understand him more. Then Hunter saves Gus multiple times and Gus helps Hunter understand and get through an anxiety attack. Hunter sees some of Gus's worst memories and they bond, becoming great friends. (Later on Gus learns a traumatic secret about Hunter's past that he tries to help Hunter cope with in a healthy way too.)

Hunter gets what is assumed to be his FIRST HUG EVER from Willow and Gus.

They are literally blushing messes around each other who are super supportive, caring, and protective of each other after that.

Willow and Gus are Hunter's biggest fans when he is being his full geeky self! They are just so happy for him! They are also both really big dorks!

They also worry about and take of each other!

I hope more people get into this ship because they're so good together and I would love to read more fanfics of them in a relationship, but for now I will just have to write it myself and it's a challenge I accept lol

Thank you for letting me rant! I really loved seeing everyone write about their fav poly ships so I thought I'd make a case for one of my favs.

actually i changed my mind i'm doing liner notes while fic is stlil fresh in my brain

i wanted so so badly to title this "how could i ever be so dumb to believe i'd be the one you would adore" but it was too long. heartbreaking. this would still have been such a baller title. i did consider "the one you would adore" but i think the title i settled on was better lol

i also wanted to use smth from no love in february which is also pretty dyssol for this exact scenario u kno. wnating sol to have reached out to him and hten not getting it <3 "where were you when i needed to hear you say / turn around i'm right behind you!" all that shit its soooo good for htem tbh

originally sym emerged "from the shadows of the forest" and my beta was like "there's no forest this is the ridges, the whole point is there's no forest" and i had to pull up the literal in-game text that has him emerging, quote, "from the shadows of the forest." they were so angry it was immesnely funny. i did cut it tho bc it's technically inconsistent w/worldbuilding LMFAO

i kind of wish it'd come up more but part of this sol is characterized by being unaugmented. real fucked up that people just give u extra kudos for not being augmented lmfao i do think abt that as the perk a lot

this sol's also super poly. i wanna go into this in another ficlet maybe but she was genuinely really vibing with dys's crush on sym from the start (which is part of the reason he was confused abt whether or not she liked him, lol)

originally this run was gonna be ot3 but i fucked up the timing of sym's last event but honestly? ive mentioned this before but hinge poly sol/dys/sym? does vibe. tfw ur boyfriend is clearly in love w/ur girlfriend who shes not dating also and u jsut ahve to deal w/that

a lot of the convo ended up rearranged from canon to better flow, and some stuff got cut. im still SO sad i couldnt work in dys droppign his entire dinner in the fire thats like one of my favorite parts. dyssol is best when they are both STupid <3

also sad in retrospect i had to cut the whole "where were you" but again it did not fit. i just wanted them yelling stupidly at each other tbh LAKHSGLKAHSLDKG

so i wrote this entire fic out of order starting with "you absolute spacehead, i am in love with you" which means when i wrote the part where sym cuts in my beta, who never got this scene, went SYM WAS JUST THERE? and i was like. yeah. thats canon btw thats part of the canon scene. and they lost it

"i am so stupid into you, i love you more than anything or anyone in this whole dumb universe" as a dramatic love confession is fun i think. simultaneously very like...... desperate and aching and also kind of stupid u kno. very nineteen of her. one of my fave lines from this in general tbh

danny phantom season 2, episode 17-20 thoughts! finishing up season two! the finale is the THIRD 2-PARTER OF SEASON 2. that's so many! I wonder how many season 3 will have?

-UERGH WHY DOES VLAD HAVE AN AI WITH MADDIE'S FACE ON IT. SOOO CREEPY. AND MORE 'CREATIONS' waiiiit. vlad is Dr. Frankenstein! (despite his ghost design obviously referencing vampires) HE HAS 'CREATIONS' HE MAKES THEN WONT TAKE REAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR!!! this bitch.

-danny was late and his friends immediately start going off about how hes inconsiderate, and has been treating them like sidekicks??? he just overslept, my god. chill. even if he has, be nicer about talking about it with him?? he really can't help that he sometimes has to chase the ghosts, or has a secret identity to protect...

-'what kind of ghost haunts a miniature golf course' umm. me as a ghost. next question

-imagine going home and theres a tiny child on your bed claiming to be your cousin. with as many cousins I have, I would probably believe her. but the 'ran away from home' BIT....SHES 12?? SHES SO TINY. I hate that they have her belly out in her ghost form, but I like how her colors are asymmetrical. something about her design...maybe the proportions?? are weird to me...anyway danny was good to feed her, but he shouldve taken her to his parents FIRST. or, tbh, probably jazz. (JAZZ DIDNT EVEN GET TO MEET HER!!! NOOO. I mean she said she'll be BACK BUT STILL)

-ANYWAY. shes voiced by AnnaSophia Robb, the girl who was in because of winn dixie, played as violet from charlie and the chocolate factory, and was the girl from bridge to terrabithia. (the movie that made me cry hysterically when I was 12 and I never watched it again because it Broke Me!) thats super cool.

-vlad sucks: the episode, basically. what's new!! I love how he's like, I'm Not A Villain. *immediately cuts to him torturing danny to make him transform, to get mid-transformation DNA, to perfect a Clone.* *immediately shows that he doesnt give a shit about his new daughter Dani and just wants a ''more perfect clone'' and will put her in danger to get that. will let her DIE to get that*

-Dani is danny's clone and is a girl? transgenderism....one of them has to be trans. or they both are.

-dani just. leaving at the end. WHAT? SHES 12. DONT JUST. NO!!! SHE WAS PROBABLY JUST BORN, A MONTH AGO AT MOST, RIGHT?? SHE NEEDS...SOMEWHERE TO LIVE. MONEY? FOOD?? A FAMILY?? AN EDUCATION???! WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE'S LEAVING!!! OKAY BYE I GUESS!!! D: concern!!!

-the next ep opens with skulker chasing a ghost down. ...does skulker count as a ghost hunter in the way valerie and danny do? I mean, sure, he hunts the good guys too, but he. he hunts ghosts...also, we haven't seen his Real Form since his debut episode! tiny...

-the guys in white are back! ngl, I assumed they were a gag for that one episode. you're telling me they might actually be a threat? ok.

-valerie in her lil nasty burger uniform looks so cute!! glad shes not in that mascot uniform this time. I guess she stopped hiding that she's working there now?

-gregor having white hair, dressed in black and white...and green eyes...sam has a Type, I guess.

-danny being unnecessarily hostile about gregor. danny!!! hes been nice so far. he looks a little...tall to be 14, but. danny doesnt know anything about him! (he does Suspect, but...you cant just spy on people and be rude to them from a hunch.) also, gregor kissed her, and when she freaked out, he was like 'oh no!! sorry, we can take it slow! I understand!' which was NICE. I hate jealousy plots still tho.

-altho. umm. tucker, being concerned about danny spying on them??? SAM AND YOU WERE SPYING ON DANNY AND VALERIE A FEW EPISODES AGO!!!!! im not saying its RIGHT, but dont be a hypocrite!!! AND THEN SAM BEING MAD ABOUT IT, TOO.

-DANNY IS A 7 ON THE SCALE OF ECTOPLASMIC POWER!!! out of 10? so I want to know where the other ghosts rank...I mean it's a list from the guys in white, so, it may not even be accurate, like, they havent seen ALL of his powers, have they?

-Lancer being like 'im not cooperating with the FEDS' until they said they could access his tax records. they already did that joke with jack, but like, its still funny. kings of tax evasion.

-tucker's aggressive third-wheeling. but gregor being super into it. gregor/tucker is the real ship here. then gregor kissing danny on both cheeks after hugging him. bi poly king gregor. (he does turn out to be a liar with a phoney accent. unsurprising, BUT THE CONCEPT OF HIM BEING GENUINE AND THEM ALL DATING IS FUN)

-THE...GUYS IN WHITE THINKING GREGOR IS DANNY PHANTOM. LMAOOO. GET HIS ASS. or,, Elliot. lmfao

-sam saying tucker is part of the package because theyre friends was super sweet <3 but also 'part of the package'...polyships are obviously the solution to these dumb jealousy/love triangle plots.

-THE SICK TATTOO GHOST IS NAMED LYDIA!!! more Lore On her. freakshow seemed genuinely concerned about her. also, is she mute? I don't think she talked the first time we saw her, either. and we didn't know freakshow 'envied' ghosts, either, the first time, we just knew he was controlling them. interesting!

-...they literally stole the infinity gauntlet from marvel and called it the reality gauntlet. is that legal. what the fuck. even with the gems in the lil slots, having different powers...they had freakshow in jail, but didnt check his pockets??! hes just still in his lil outfit??? what kind of ...oh, its in amity park. yeah, all of the adults are idiots, okay, sure.

-'freakshow!' 'in the anemic flesh!' dude take some iron pills then. also, sure, the red eyes could be contacts for his aesthetic, but the whites of his eyes are yellow! does he have jaundice?! he severely needs more...like, every kind of vitamin. (this is what im worried about as freakshow attacks danny with giant robots)

-again, goth circus is a sick theme, and I love his goth train.

-oh FUCK every single person saw danny transform. on a stage. including his parents via TV. oh god. the guys in white and immediately like 'youre coming in for experiments!' SCARY. at least the crowd is willing to help him to escape...perks of now being a local celeb! even the kids at school are accepting :) this is what, the third time his family has found out? its always been an alt timeline tho. and danny fully intending to just rewrite things again instead of...I dunno, trying to roll with it this time? hes really worried his family won't accept him, huh...

-'maybe our son IS THE GHOST BOY, but its not as if our family's ghostly activities have EVER PUT YOUR FAMILIES IN DANGER' maddie. mmmmmmmmmmmm. okay.

-danny 100% prepared to run away from home because of this :( oh :( and saying his parents are 'looking for him, or a scalpel to dissect him with' ouch...

-THE GUYS IN WHITE TRYING TO ARREST A 14 YEAR OLD. fuck da feds.

-side note (another one about voice actors...) freakshow's voice actor, Jon Cryer, was lex luthor in pretty much every DC tv show, which is why I recognized his voice, because my dad loves those shows so I've seen a good bit of them without seeking them out...)

-the old man saying 'hey, i still had minutes left!' and danny saying 'you gotta watch those roaming charges!' about danny destroying the people in the diner's phones so no one could report seeing him...would kids today understand these things. can you even BUY minutes anymore...I remember my first phone being a flip phone, and the fact I always had minutes when my sister ran out super fast, because I didnt have friends calling or texting me like she did...:/

-then he WIPED THEIR MEMORIES AGAIN!!! FUCK. I can understand him wiping the goverments/student bodies' memories, but why his parents?? they were being accepting!! ARGHHH. season 3 couldve been them all trying to adjust to them knowing!

-I know, on a meta level the showrunners probably wanted to just reset things to the status quo of him having a secret identity. But. We've been doing that for (2) seasons, I'd love if season 3 could be like, his parents adjusting to this and trying way harder to learn more and accept it (and the shenanigans that could come from that) and for fun, if he didn't wipe the students memories, it could be him being popular for a while, then everyone slowly realizing, oh, he's still Danny. Like. he might have ghost powers but hes Just The Same Guy instead of putting him on a pedestal (and seeing them all try and help him hide it from the giw/people who don't know!!)

-fuck they didn't even explain WHY he wiped everyone except sam, tucker and jazz's memories. he just Did It right when his parents were saying they loved/accepted him!! and sam and tucker didnt question it at all!!! HELLO??? very annoyed about this turn of events.

-anyway. onto season 3! I know its shorter than the first two seasons, and is the last season... I might just do it in 2 bursts if I can... :3c depends on the episodes' content and how much I want to say about each!

What made you ship it? literally never thought about the four getting together until reading type and lyra’s fic A Taste of Sunshine (highly recommend). i was already getting into dreammare at the time, and of course i like cream, and then god. the last chapter of the first fic sunk its claws into me when it came to knight i was smiling so wide reading ab them and super into it jahskdjfk. they honestly have such a great dynamic, and i think its bc of how well written it was ;o;

What are your favorite things about the ship? dude poly for one, why have one great bf when you can have three XDD but also, kinda what i said bf, i rly love the different dynamics going on between the four and that despite those different dynamics, they can still all fit so well together ;; (and i love the concept of tag teaming 3 vs 1 with this ship in particular for some soff treatment (and some good treatment akjhskfdjas 😏))

fandoms written in: bandom (mostly my chemical romance, but also fall out boy, the used, panic! at the disco, idkhow, HIM, and green day!), marvel (616 and 1872), and viva la bam rpf

looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected?: it’s more individual stories than i thought i wrote, but the word count is about what i expected. i am a oneshot master :)

what’s your own favourite story of the year?: probably hot and ready hehe! it’s probably some of my funniest writing and my first (and so far only!) time writing for bert, which ended up being super fun and i’m pretty proud of the way i captured his voice. and also, the reception was really awesome, someone even asked if they could translate it which i am still beyond flattered by!

did you take any writing risks this year?: i think the main thing i did this year was learn to focus on writing for me first and foremost. a lot of the fic i wrote this year was very specific, mostly dead fandoms viva la bam rpf fueled by my own quarantine-induced nostalgia. but i wrote them because /i/ wanted to see them, and that’s something i never really did previously, as i was always so focused on writing for the sake of praise (still kind of am, unfortunately, but i’m working on it)

do you have any fanfic goals for the new year?: i’d like to maybe do the bandom big bang, assuming i can get an idea to run with! i’d also like to write a story featuring an asexual character, specifically something about an asexual character dating and being in a relationship, as i identify as ace and it’s a big part of my identity! (alsomaybesomesupernaturalficimsosorry) most popular story of the year: based on kudos, it’s the friggin’ new jersey transit, which i’m pleased with, as it was a fun story to write :)

my most under appreciated story, in my opinion: i don’t know, maybe king for a bed??? although i fully understand why this is the way it is, considering how small of a fandom green day fic is, and especially poly green day fic that’s not smut. BUT AGAIN, making the content i wanna see in this world

most fun story to write: aside from hot and ready, probably into the basement we wander, solely because i got to project my disappointment with the star wars sequels onto basement gerard, hehehe. and i enjoy the aesthetic of revenge frank/basement gerard, what can i say.

biggest disappointment: when the day met the pizza delivery guy, because i wrote it literally a day before the news about br*ndon came out, and i was barely interested in making a fic with him as a character in it as it was :/ i did it for ryan ross and the homies on discord and our niche jokes, so i don’t regret in that regard!

biggest surprise: definitely nobody likes the matinee show, mainly because prior to this year, i had no idea about idkhow or had thought much of dallon and ryan beyond panic! and falling in reverse. but i really loved writing this fic, it’s another fave from this year, and it was fun getting to write for such a small, upcoming fandom and ship :) im not sure who writes fic and who hasnt been tagged yet, so i’ll pass on tagging. 12-what turns you away the most from a fic?

I don't even touch fics that have non con, underaged people in sexual situations, yandere themes, or revolve around substance abuse. I cannot.

16-how do you feel about character death in a fic?

Angel please, have you met me?

Death isnt something you should shy away from when writing fics, if it fits into the narrative. The raw emotions that come from mourning and grieving sometimes makes for phenomenal character development. For better or worse. So im all for it.

17-any characters you cant stand to see in pain?

Nah, i put my biases through hell, everyone is fair game. It hurts like a bitch, but like...thats angst baby.

21- How and when did you get introduced to smut fics? Any horror stories?

Ahem. Probably much younger than i should've been. But yeet.

As for horror stories. Uh. Yeah. Some people think its cool to not tag things properly and years ago i accidentally read a RVB fic where Donut fucked a warthog's (a car in Halo) stick shift thingy and it was. Not. Pleasant.

24- Do you have any dirty kinks that you're ashamed of?

Hm. Not really? I actually have a list of my kinks and for the life of me, even the more out there ones, i dont see anything here i feel an ounce of shame about *shrug*

Though there's one there that may raise a few brows but like again, none of my kinks are without explicit consent, so even that one, im not ashamed of.

26-any kinks you dont wanna try in real life that are hot in fics?

Nah. If i actually enjoy reading it in my fics, I'd try it at least once.

37- How do you feel about parent!fics? What about mpreg?

Okay so parent fics? *chef kiss* superb! 110/10, i aDORE them!

Mpreg tho? No. Not at all. And there's a good reason. Fanfic writers have been making mpreg fics for literally over a decade and coming up with these convoluted ways as to why a cis man is having a weird butt baby and ive seen a lot, and i mean a LOT of trans people that are downright disgusted by it because a lot of these authors dont...even consider that a trans gentleman can bear a child.

Ofc this varies to the man and his personal preference, but the trans ftm comminity has been very vocal about how mpreg fics (which mostly go hand and hand with A/B/O verse fics, which have plenty more problems to them that arent addressed enough but-) exclude and invalidate trans peoples and while i never really cared for mpreg fics, i especially dont fuck with them after listening to my trans siblings voicing their concerns and frustrations with how so many of them are written

43-Do you like fluff on your own or with conjunction with other elements?

Hmm...normally i like anything i read to have a bit of story to it, angst, fluff, smut, included. But if its a fluff oneshot, i dont mind it being soft and standalone. Gotta have some 100% soft feels from time to time.

FIRST NAME Good fucking question… It’s (sort-of) currently Dylann! I was Kieran before that, though; it’s still used as one of my first names and I’m not used to Dylann quite yet bc I’ve just started using it.

Indigo is one of my middle names though, and I’ve used it as an online handle elsewhere forever so I use it here now! [ Fun etymology facts: Dylan(n) is a mythology name generally meaning “born of the wave” (aspiring diver & a water witch at heart). Kieran means “little dark one” bc of my love for horror, && I chose Indigo bc as a kid to be it was neither boy (blue) or purple (girl) and was both and neither as well as my absolute favorite color as this vibrant ass mystical color. ]

STRANGE FACT ABOUT YOURSELF hmmmmm…. I’m a horror lover at heart, so as a child (I wanna say 12), I was walking through an antique store (I have a few cool finds, I considered putting my other one as the fact tbh) and I turned the corner and I saw these two dolls staring back at me at the foot of the stairs of this antique building. my blood froze, and i felt my stomach drop. i got actual, physical goosebumps stumbling across these two creepy dolls staring back at me in the corner, and i couldn’t leave the store without them. perhaps the little painted porcelain boy would be somewhat spooky by himself if it wasn’t for the terrifying lidded gaze of the porcelain girl with the hairline fractures and slightly open lips. i cant look at her. i dont really find dolls scary, I like to find the spookier ones ones, and she makes me paranoid as hell. i keep her face covered and her up in my closet except for when i bring her out to show her off proudly as the spookiest thing I have but……. i dont really collect dolls anymore. even thinking about her brings a fearful tear to my eye. i don’t like to think about her for very long, but that’s why I’m so fucking proud to own her. ( YES — I’m THAT white person in the horror film )

FAVORITE BOOK White Fang by Jack London. Have I actually ever finished it? No. Do I still own a copy I’ve had since childhood thru multiple dogs eating it, taking it to and from school, and highlighting and circling all the best parts of chapter one ever since I was a kid and it was too hard of a book for me to read? You bet your ass. If I ever need inspiration I just reread chapter 1. Although one of my other favorites was Broken Monsters by Lauren Beukes. But White Fang is like, a weirdly personal text. We stan London’s writing in this household.

look my problem with the au megamind where Roxanne is the alien and megamind is the reporter is i cant stop thinking about what i want out of that and how its probably not what other people want out of that which should mean 'oh shit i gotta write it' but really means 'in the next couple of months im going to rewatch megamind and be extremely frustrated because idk how to write these people as is let alone in an au'

its fine not because shes incompetent- in fact her death rays and pointy sticks are ingenious and have 0% public property or civilian causalities - but because metroman is not only impossible to kill, he adapts to anything that gets close (anything that doesnt kill him makes him stronger literally)

i guess this means theres a good chunk of the story that is centered around human adaptability vs perfect hero dudes adaptability

Roxanne Ritchie is actually a noted scientist or something at the local research facility - i figure blue people planet is really advanced and everyones at least a little technosmart but while it doesnt come as easily or naturally to Roxanne her way of thinking is really unique n shiz and shes an asset to every team....

but if you see her in a mask with some project from the lab macguivered into a gun trying to kill metroman well, no ones getting hurt and humans need hobbies and everyone respects the mask desptie the fact shes the ONLY human on the planet so its not like its hard to figure out who she is

she does spend a lot of nights having to rebuild projects and apologizing and such but basically everyone plays the plausible deniability card and asks her questions abiut what went wrong and okay so the masked menace failed after you let them steal our project but lets pretend for a moment the goal was to fix crops how would you say this did? and grumply shed revamp the guns weird side effect into an alien pollinating crop duster or whatever

got carried away when REALLY all I WANTED to say was

Whille Roxanne Ritchie is adaptable ingenuity and gets away at the last minute NOT because no ones trying to catch her but shes just that CLEVER and thinks ahead and shiz....

Megamind is the guy trying to interview her in the middle of a fight like he thinks he's cute - i mean he is but shes chasing after metroman and skids to a stop because this jerk stepped in for a comment. or shes lining up the perfect shot but theres a close up of megaminds reporter bag in the way

the thing is that maybe... blue people arent violent. a natural disaster hit recently and theyre coming back from it and if the two adopted alien kids want to play extreme tag well no ones getting hurt and Roxanne Ritchie will grow out of her competitiveness no doubt caused by just how superior EVERYONE on the planet is by finding her own niche and metroman will grow up and stop bating her because maybe he IS still better than everyone else and thats met with "oh very nice we're proud" but it doesnt really validate him or make him feel special because its just treated as a special thing he can do by everyong but Roxanne Ritchie and once he's found something that makes him feel good regardless of the attention or lack of it he'll stop playing too

but megamind? megamind has an imagination that loves drama and blowing things out of proportion and thats part of why his reports are so popular? like yeah everyones treating this super hero showdown with indulgence but megamind is good at framing theatrics so that this news story is actually a compelling narrative? and also everyone can see the tension is going to have one of these three "kids" confessing live someday

and maybe he gets carried away. one of those 'aw well next time you could do x or y' or has some technological creation that accidentally actually makes Metroman flinch during an interview

and Roxanne Ritchie starts paying attentionto him for the first time.

and minion warns him but he doesnt listen. minion is lower class and is afraid of being replaced like a pet like some people do but Roxanne Ritchie Ritchie doesnt have a minion and even if she did theyre Best Friends not like those other blue people minion uperclass people.

and he carelessly says something unforgivable and Roxanne Richie uses his ideas and actually succeeds in killing metroman

so she goes to prison - a place they had to build just for her because this hasnt happened since stars knows when

and somebody else is doing the camera because minion left just is gone and megamind looks defeated but testifies against her and is quiet and subdued and stpps being a reporter for a bit

and.... idk. i feel like we'll have to resolve the whole class system so minon goes underground and finds other minons who are unhappy with the way of things and if theyre ALREADY rebuilding society after that huge natural disaster that DIDNT blow up their planet thanks TO a minion well ehy cant they fix this too?

so theres a rebellion going on and theyve got a secret weapon to make blue people listen and idk but i feel like it's Metroman

and... how do stories like this go ive forgotten

minion wouldnt tell megamind or he would

metroman would break Roxanne Ritchie out of prison during the first riot of the minion revolt?

they talk and compare why they hated eachother and slowly work together and are actually a great team?

and then they need a reporter to make themselves heard as something other than minions going crazy

and so of course they go to megamind for help getting the story out

something something megamind is minions sidekick for this adventure

"Roxanne Ritchie was raised by the planet and turned against it and instigated civil unrest and killed a person who was also the good child etc etc instead of just growing up to face your problems"

"actually im alive and i finally found my place? helping out the real heros?"

"i mean i did try to kill him, but he forgave me and we're kinda working together because planet of moms and dads that raised us? yall actually are the ones who need to grow up and let go of the traditions that dont serve etc etc"

and megamind does a huge public apology to minion

and... uhhhhhhhhh fuck i really dont know how these storyies go

the blue people start making amends

metroman basically becomes a social worker for minion childern because finding their original families is a bit hard and most of these kids are just going to end up being raised by super dad but at least the rebellion minion families are actually geting to be their own family units and in a couple gens thatll be normal

Roxanne Ritchie goes back to being the token human in the lab and hangs up her super suit and is generally dissatisfied with this

until one night a hero breaks into her apartment to make her answer for her crimes and so for a legit hot second theyre fighting and megamind says something and Roxanne apologizes and then fighting stops being an argument and goes into banter flirting

the worss "where theres evil good will rise up to fight it" peob comes up a lot in this fic in different iterations

anyways megamind isnjust basically like hey wanna do this like. for the rest of our lives dramatic battle showdowns like its entertainment but like no theyre doing this for real?

the answer is hell yeah

and its a polyship and sometimes Roxanne is helping with the kids and then Megamind bursts in to "save" the family from her evil clutches and 90% of the time everything is improve

megamind kidnaps Roxanne to make metromind save her and a good half of the conversation is that hes an idiot for coming shes tried to kill him three times this week and hes bitching because do you know how hard it is to find a sitter for 30 odd minion kids this short notice and they better make it up to him

Roxanne is not superdad but the 30 odd minion kids adore when she comes over because they mob the villain so hard until finally mega comes to save her because hes actually very good with the kids

of course this poly ship isnt complete without minion and at some point minion and mega realize theyve actually been married for years and Roxanne and metro tease them shamelessly for it

minion and his race need a real name obviously

when Roxanne was a... graduate her senior project theses thingy was essentially "im going to go back to planet earth itll be great ive figured out were im from and how to go there in a reasonable amout of time" and everyone had to sit her down and explain that unlike metroman they knew where she was from the planet was just destroyed.

they never figured out where metroman was from because his direction sharply changed to follow baby Roxannes course and mirrored her coding despite very obviously how he had originated from elsewhere

this is important because his race is basically coming to conquer the blue people planet soon - the group finds out - and will download all the survival upgrades metroman has gotten to become unkillable and then just come down to the surface and be unstoppable taking the place over and whiping out the planet like theyve done many many times

a good chunk of the time trying to figure out how to stop them when this planet is REALLY against murder war and violence for good reason and even if they WOULD do that its impossible over looks some alone time that leads to megamind and metroman figuring out how to like kill him so when the bad guys show up theyll go "whelp better not fuck with them" and leave but between roxanne and minion they manage to not only stabilize metroman (Roxanne blood transfusions maybe???) but they manage to scare the aliens so bad they tuck tail and leave speading rumors that these are the scariest mfs in space (go minion)

metroman never lets Roxanne live down saving his life

eventually space humans show up to check the place out

megamind loves everything human despite most of the planet thinking theyre primitive and showing it

roxanne is reluctant to meet them at first but then really relates to them?

for a good long while it REALLY seems like megamind and Roxanne are just going to go on space adventures with the humans leaving metroman and minion - who really doesnt like them and also they kinda rub him the wrong way because he's non bipedal and they kinda make fun of him in a 'we totally dont mean anything by it lighten up' sort of way.

they don't go of course but they may have stolen a lot of atar charts n shit and who hasnt wanted to take a road trip through space with 30 odd childern who will need names and personalities and may be chopped down to a slightly more reasonable number by this point?

metroman loves space karaoke and his natural abilites mean he learns languages fast but no he still cant carry a tune

megamind and Roxanne still duke it out on various alien cityscapes

minion usually breaks them out of jail if theyre not to be let out the next day because nothing was actually damaged that didnt belong to them.

one memorable occasion it was metoman in a fight with megamind and they wont say what its about but both look very put out and minion looks smug

it doesn't matter in the end because Roxanne teams up with the childern to propose to them first

apparantly i had a lot more ideas about this then i meant to? i mean its not well thoughout out and despite the drama a good half the fic is just going to be cute relationship building stuff between the four of them

You’re eyes had blown up when you heard Jimin, speak to you that way. Before you would easily flirt with Jimin. But this time around it was completely different. This time it felt like if he had the chance he would take you right there on the couch, with your friends as the witness. Jimin felt your body tense up and it made him smile. You giggled, “Jimin you need to stop before you actually start something you can’t finish,” you teased slightly punching him on his shoulder. He let go of you, giving you a chance to relax and fall back on the feet of your heels. Since you had been tip toeing to reach him. “That’s okay, I think the hyungs and I can handle you.” You felt the heat from your cheeks sting at his words.

This was all new to you. From all of them being your friends to now lovers. The way that they had explained how they felt about you lingered in your mind. The fact that you were still drunk and high was causing you to overthink the next move you would make. The entire room stared you down as you tried to make sense of it all in your mind. Jimin, still close to you watched you as you muttered to yourself. He reached for your hand, as you stood there like a deer in headlights. “Y/N, jagi, are you okay?”

You chuckled embarrassed, “uh I’m okay. It’s just-“ you were a stuttering mess trying to get sentences out instead of this word vomit you were currently serving. Jimin cooed, “y/n-“ he reached for the side of your arm and caressed it. “Jagi, it’s okay. Just breathe. We all know this is a lot.” He mentioned as he looked into your eyes. “We would never pressure you to do anything you didn’t want to do.”

“Yeah, were not animals.” Jungkook retorted chuckling after his statement. You shot him a smile and returned your gaze to your feet. “Jagi,” Namjoon spoke, “come sit down with us.” He pats at the empty seat next to him on the couch. Everyone else was huddled around the living room. Sitting on the floor, thrown on the couch with their legs spread out, waiting for you to join them. You maneuvered through their stretch out legs making sure not to kick or step on them accidentally. You slumped into the couch, with a slight whine as Namjoon threw his long arm around your shoulders. Pulling you into his side. Everyone in the room’s voice hitched and their eyebrows furrowed at you, wondering what it was you were thinking about.

“You guys are just so amazing. So kind. Did I mention beautiful?” You whined, sliding your index finger from Namjoon’s temple down to the side of his cheek. You let your weight fall on him. Letting your chin, and the side of your cheek collide with the right side of his peck and shoulder.

Namjoon chuckled, and covered his face with his free hand shaking his head to a soft no. “What do you mean no, silly?” You added, slightly looking up to him. You instantly reached for his hand and intertwined your fingers with his. He smiled letting his dimples protrude through his cheeks. “Baby, you are always complementing me. And I never had the courage to say ‘hey Namjoon you are looking pretty tasty today,’” He let out a soft chuckle, “So you think I’m pretty tasty?” He questioned, his right eyebrow raising unconsciously. You laughed, and covered your mouth, “you’re telling me out of everything that I said, that was the only thing you heard?”

“Yup!”

The group of guys busted out laughing, hiding their faces with their hands and the small pillows they were laying on.

“Y/N thinks we’re beautiful,” Taehyung mentioned caressing his own cheek.

“Jagi thinks hyung is tasty,” Jungkook added, raising his eyebrows to them with a smirk on his face.

Seokjin rebutted, “Yah, what about us? What are we? You can’t just throw compliments out and not tell us what you think about us!” Seokjin had crossed his arms against his chest, and slightly pouted his lips. You turned to the side to watch what was unraveling, Seokjin was sitting on the one seater with his arms crossed. From your view he looked so adorable, like if someone had just taken his candy and all he wanted now was attention and praise. You giggled at the thought. You stood up from where you were leaning on Namjoon, making sure you didn’t fall back due to your bad equilibrium. And made your way towards Seokjin, with your arms open moving your hands into a carry me motion. He didn’t budge, moving his head to the side and groaning, “hmph.” You snickered, “Seokjiiiiiiin, don’t be like that,” you whined. As you got closer you leaned slightly putting your face very close to his. “Seokjin, are you really upset with me?” You asked in a baby voice, it sounded like when Hoseok would do aegyo, and he would groan and whine until he got your attention.

The rest of the guys just observed the situation, they all knew once Seokjin was upset there was no going back from that. Taehyung and Jungkook got closer to the coffee table, leaning on it slightly to get a better view. Namjoon was still reclined on the couch, and giggled as he saw how difficult Seokjin was being. He knew it was all for show. Yoongi and Jimin were still sprawled out on separate couches, and whined, “Seokjin come on, y/n is being so cute right now. You can’t tell me that you’re going to deny her.” Jimin whined, pushing his bangs to the side slightly since they were getting stuck to the sweat that had been building on his forehead. “Seokjin we all know that you’re gonna open your arms and hug her. Just do it.” Yoongi added, crossing his own arms across his chest and slightly sucking in some air. Hoseok leaned against the couch that Namjoon was sitting on and they both exchanged a look of y/n got this and smiled at each other.

Seokjin replied, “don’t tell me what to do.” He grunted scrunching his eyebrows together. You leaned your cheek on his head from the side. “Baby,” your voice instantly heated his cheeks, “No,” Seokjin responded tightening his arms. Since he wasn’t budging you took matters into your own hands. You moved from behind and laid on his lap. Your hair had fallen over the arm rest and your legs dangled on to the nearest couch’s arm rest. “Okay, that’s fine. You won’t mind if I just rest here then, right?”

You wiggled slightly to make yourself comfortable on his lap. He didn’t bat an eyelash at you, so you stretched out your arms, placing the back of your hand on your forehead and sighing, “I hope Seokjinnie forgives me, I don’t know what I’ll do if he doesn’t.” You cooed in an aegyo baby voice.

The rest of the group just kept exchanging looks with each other, it looked like if they were taking down notes and figuring out if this would actually work.

You raised your hand slightly to see if he had tried to look at you, he still hadn’t.

You sat up and hooked your arms around his bold shoulders. “Baby, are you really gonna be upset with me? I’m literally throwing myself

at you.” With those words piercing his ears he looked at you with a straight face, no emotion what so ever and unhooked your arms from behind his neck without blinking an eyelash. You whined, “Seokjin.” He snapped, “No y/n. Im really upset with you.” At this point, you didn’t really know if he was actually playing or if he was serious. You were trying to regain consciousness and cleared your throat, “If I did or say anything that you didn’t like. I really am sorry. All jokes aside, are you okay?” You looked at him with worry in your eyes. Seeing your uneasiness he sighed and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close to him. “It’s okay y/n, I was just playing.” You place your face into the crook of his neck and when he responded you sighed in relief, you had actually thought you had upset him in some way. He felt your breath on his neck and slumped deep into the couch. “Aww, my poor baby. I’m sorry. I thought you knew I was playing,” Seokjin added, rubbing your back softly. You could cry at this point, you never wanted to hurt any of your friends, especially them. They meant so much to you, and especially now since you knew how they actually felt about you.

But, I just want to make sure we’re all on the same page.” You blinked a couple times at his words and nodded, “I understand. And if it’s okay with everyone, I know we’re not really sober but I would like to carry on with what we’re doing. If it’s okay?” You signaled with your free hand at everyone, “and I mean carry on with everyone.” You looked at each of their gazes, “unless we’re not up for it-“ you were instantly cut off, “Oh my gosh! I was waiting for someone to say something!” Jimin blurted as he instantly attacked Namjoon’s face with his kisses. Namjoon giggled, as he let Jimin straddle him, “Ji-Ji-Jimin. Wait, please!” He plead as he moved his face to the side. Jimin chuckled and stopped, moving his face a couple of inches from Namjoon’s. Namjoon’s face turned completely red, “okay, before this gets out of hand. Is everyone okay with talking more about this in the morning?” He stated, his eyes fluttering from one person to the other. They all agreed and Jungkook hollered, “last one to hobis bed has to clean everything tomorrow,” as he ran towards the bedroom. Everyone scattered and stumbled towards the bedroom. Seokjin carried you bridal style, “I have the most important thing!” And everyone laughed as they hurried behind you and Seokjin.

Jungkook made it to Hoseok’s bedroom, dropping on the bed, face first. Seokjin and you landed on the bed, squishing Jungkook in the process. “Yah, wait!” He hollered as he tried to squirm out from under you. “Jagi, tell them to wait!” He mumbled, as he wrapped an arm around your torso to get stability. You laughed hysterically as you tried to move to the other side of the bed. You felt Jungkook wrap his arm around you pushing you back down. “Jungkook just scoot back baby.” He chuckled, as he watched everyone running into the room. “Fuck,” he muttered and you laughed. 1. What Station on the Ark would you be from? Uhhhhh I literally have no idea bc we don’t really know about a lot of the stations / what they did. I’m in pre-med so maybe Go-Sci because that’s where Ark Station Medical is?
