What if in the upcoming Strange New Worlds Musical episode, we suddenly see Paul Wesley as Kirk disappearing into a room.
He abruptly reappears, walking out in a bowtie tux.
He has a stool and a microphone in hand.
He puts down the stool and promptly sits upon it.
He snatches out a "jazz cigarette", lights it, takes a generous drag, and begins:
"Packed my bag last night, pre-flight; zero hour, 9 am . . .
and I'm going to be high as a kite by then . . . "
The USS Enterprise crew:
*Whispering* "Maybe if we don't look he'll stop . . ."
"Captain, do something. Shut it down!"
Meanwhile, Spock:

Was just checking my book's reviews on Goodreads, as one does, and there was a relatively scathing review of Like Real People Do that actually made a lot of excellent points, highlighting things I'd do differently if I was writing it now.
But one point I found funny and would not change was something along the lines of "The Tumblr references were excruciating and made it read like 2015 fan fiction." Which, close, it was 2017 fanfic, but also I had the option to take out the Tumblr references and I didn't on purpose, even though it dates the book. Tumblr helped me write this book. We're paying homage to its origins. Will I do that for every book I publish? No. But the first one? That I only scrubbed and queried because my online friends told me it was good enough and I should try? Those we keep. Also, if you read a book and the dedication page says it's for fanfic writers, it's your own damn fault if you don't enjoy it because it reads like fic and has Tumblr references.

Hello there,
first of all, I'm wishing you a speedy recovery! Illnesses are always very irritating, especially those which last over a longer period of time, so I hope you'll get better soon. I just watched the trailer for Tales of the Empire (basically season 2 of Tales of the Jedi) and I immediately had to think of you. It seems VERY relevant for your current chapter of the Nameless comic. I don't want to spoiler too much tho. Definitely worth checking out.
Either way, have a nice rest of the day!
Thank you!!
What can I say, Lucasfilm wanted a piece of what I have. 😎
(I love spoilers, I usually actively seek out spoilers, so if anyone feels like sharing them once the animation becomes available, please please do.)
Seriously though, I'm so happy I started the comic pages with Barriss and the Inquisitor before Tales of the Empire was announced, otherwise I'd probably have to change it all, so I don't look like I am jumping on some narrative bandwagon.
There is still a chance the animation reveals something new about Inquisitorius lore or details about the Grand Inquisitor that changes future stuff I had planned for the comic, but we shall see.
