if you get mad at palestinians for asking you your opinion on zionism maybe develop the capacity to look past your own perspective and understand that knowing that information is for our safety and it can be difficult to trust a lot of people when you do not know if they have any level of solidarity with you

love at first sight
[ID: a painting of three silos seen from below with a silhouetted person in the corner, and an outdoor staircase connected to it which is intertwined with a heart & cardiovascular system painted on the right side of the canvas. piercing the anatomical heart is a heart-tipped arrow. a few white hearts with red borders are drawn by the silos & in the bottom is red text that reads: "squeeze me, shrink me, suffocate me!" End ID]

Some advice for younger queer folk: please don't make your sense of isolation integral to your queer experience. It might feel cathartic, and it's certainly something I did for a time myself - there's no shame in admitting that you feel that isolation.
It's not a bad thing to notice that you feel isolated, but please don't isolate yourself because you think your only tie to your queerness is that you are alone in everything. There is a community and place for you, even when it doesn't seem feasible. Please hold hope out for that

The Loneliest House in the World Location: Elliðaey, Iceland
Originally built in the 1950s as a lodge for puffin hunters, this house is often referred to as the most secluded home in the world. There is a widespread misconception among foreign fans that the Icelandic singer, Björk, has lived on/owned the island. The artist, however, never purchased the island or a house there. Today, the island is deserted with no residents since the 1930s

OSDDID community, please remember that, yes, most cases of DID are covert, but not all cases. I am an overt DID system, my alters act extremely different from me and this has repeatedly caused me issues throughout my whole life. It has made navigating this disorder extremely difficult for me and has made people other me a lot. People have almost called emergency services on me for how differently I start acting when certain alters front. I physically cannot hide my symptoms. My symptoms have always been pointed out by others and I was very much estranged from and bullied by people around me for it. Even teachers would badger me over my symptoms.
It gets really tiring and demotivating seeing people saying over and over that "DID is covert," "DID is hidden," "DID never makes itself known" when all my life my DID has been overt, has never been hidden, and has made itself known. It makes me feel like my existence is inconvenient to address because people want to feel better about their experiences. But what about my experiences? It makes me feel isolated from the community because people are constantly saying that my experience is not real which has driven me further and further away from OSDDID communities because there's such scorn for the idea that overt systems do exist.
You can absolutely acknowledge that OSDDID most of the time is covert and not spotted by others. A lot of people do end up figuring out symptoms purely on their own and others doubt their symptoms because they are not obvious enough, and that sucks. But please do not then assume your experience is the only one and that overt systems are some made up concept or that OSDDID is inherently covert. We do exist and we need a place within the community as well

Astarion's first romance scene had me gigglesnorting the moment it started. The setting, the lighting, the pale shirtless vampire. Larian didn't have to lean so hard on the Twilight aesthetic but it went really well with the corny lines.
Patreon and society6 offer guides for adventurers who are heading into the dark forest for a vampire tryst. Never get lost in the woods again!

Something about how Stede draws the sheer curtains he’s patched like kintsugi to provide them a space that belongs to them and them alone. No, the curtains don't really do anything to hide the bed, but it's not about that - it's about creating a shared space that surrounds them and protects them.
Tumblr media
Not to harp on the parallels too much, but consider this shot in Season 1 when Ed is crying in the bed and we see how bare and cold and exposed the room is, severed from Stede. There's no warmth, no safe space. Ed is curled into himself, but he's not safe. It's a mirror to his position as a child when he watched his father beat his mother. He's scared and despairing and he's trying to hide.
Then Stede comes back and he starts fixing things. He encloses the space again, he warms it up, he patches the holes. The patches are still patches; the curtains will never be pristine again, and neither will they. But that doesn't matter. Stede's putting it back together for himself and for Ed.
The camera movement is even the same, drawing away from Ed in the first shot and in the second—but in the first Ed is totally alone, isolated, blending into the darkness. In the second, Ed is distinct from the space; we can see his face and his expression as he turns from the window. And he's not alone. Stede moves into frame and closes the space. It's giving Ed that security; that he can be here, in the arms of the man he loves, and be surrounded by warmth and light. He doesn't have to curl up in fear. He can be safe.

Y’all ever think Branch gets hit with the reality of waking up and realizing: “Holy fuck, this IS my life.”
And still finds it hard to believe that he’s in a romantic relationship with the Queen of Pop, with a literal QUEEN.
His brothers that left him 20 years ago, are either just living outside his bunker in the village now or he knows how to get into contact with them or knows where they live now. He was alone for 20 years and suddenly he has his family again.
The tribe that made fun of him being paranoid and overprotective now see him a very essential part of the village and want to hang out with him.
He’s super chilled with several royal families and leaders of other tribes.
He can casually join any group/band and they’d be accepting of him because he’s just like any other troll even though he has some differences.

The way Billy acts in the Holloway house mirrors how he acted when he was around Karen in that same season.
We don't ever see teen Billy's real smile, except for when he's on the court.
Tumblr media
This smile is relaxed and carefree.
For example, his smiles here are all fake. Forced. There's an overly polite expression he wears, and it's shown in how he talks, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In both cases:
his facial expressions are controlled, except they're caused by different things.
he's been put in a position where he has his autonomy stripped from him.
his eyes look like they're screaming for help.
His job and car are two things that grant him what he cannot get at his house (which would be some freedom and control of his environment/himself). Karen takes that away from him, and so does the Mind Flayer. She shows up at his work with her friends and preys on him. He drives to meet her and gets caught in another predator's web.
And after, when he's driving his car, he's no longer behind the wheel. It's his car, and he has to sit there while he's being taken control of.
