Pet peeves

I posted a question about Buck and Bucky’s pet peeves a few days ago and I received a lot of great responses! Thank you guys! I will compile them in this post instead of replying individually.

bucky def hates being micromanaged and passive aggressive people

Hahaha, very true, especially the micromanagement. He doesn’t like unreasonably tight reins.

another common pet peeve is when ppl talk over u/ interrupt OR talk down to u. i could see bucky having a pet peeve of ppl talking down to him but not really interrupting. however can we say that those two r his biggest pet peeves when directed towards buck… (i cannot separate these two in my head)

Bucky wouldn’t be able to stand that, for sure! I like how you extended it to him having the same pet peeves about people doing that to Buck. I can see him being really irritated with that.

i think buck might have a pet peeve of chewing too loud.

Maybe if it's too loud, but I’m not sure about this because he's the one who always has something in his mouth 😁

i could see bucky having a pet peeve with slow drivers and know it alls.

Oh, the faces he’d make if he was stuck behind a slow driver 😆 The best would be if they were stuck while it was Gale driving - Gale would be all calm and collected while Bucky would be rolling his eyes and huffing in the passenger seat.

Mm pet peeve - Bucky is more than fine with physical touches, but only if he initiates it. He actually do like his personal space, but it's something that he prefers to invite people into rather than have them just come in. Remember that one scene when Croz was pointing out the general direction of Scotland in ep2, and Bucky (hilariously) pushed Croz's finger from his face with a cute little disgruntled look on his face? Cutest thing!

I remember that moment, it was so funny! I think it was because of the vomit, but I like this idea, would be interesting to explore. Actually, if we think about it, when was Bucky touched in the show without him or Buck initiating it first?

They both can't stand wasting anything. Be it food, clothes or anything materialistic. They rather eat leftovers for three days then throw it in the bin. Wear their clothes until they can't be repaired anymore. (Not because they have no money but because they're frugal af) This would be so for the rest of their lives.

I think this is a good one because imagine wasting food after their experiences in the stalag. I agree that they'd try to eat everything. They're not picky anyway. I do think they like nice clothes though, they were always so stylish 😄

Gale's very specific about the way things are done. He's very OCD, has lists for everything. He can't stand to be disrupted if he's in the middle of solving a problem.

Omg yeah, disrupting Gale while he’s solving a problem is a no-no. He shoots the other person these looks that could kill - doesn’t even need to say anything, people just scamper away.

And OCD Buck has just come up recently - it could be an interesting take on him! And also how others try to accommodate it, especially John, who's the furthest thing from OCD.

John is a nurturer and loves to give presents (but always things that are needed, never just fun things because that seems wasteful) so he gets a bit standoffish when people take this for granted and NEVER give back.

Aww, yes, poor John! He's such a giver. Giving back doesn’t even have to be a present, it's enough for him to feel the other's happiness and love. It would hurt him so bad if someone just discarded his present.

It felt like you were in a haze. A dream. Somewhere far from reality. Was this really happening? You asked yourself over and over again. You were more than just present; your brain absorbing every second of those precious moments - and yet, you thought you were daydreaming.

Your nerves were on edge; a warm feeling pooling inside you, starting from your heart. Love. It was nothing but deep, true love. Was this what real happiness felt like? Must be...

That was exactly what just happened barely a few minutes ago. You had married the man of your dreams. The man you loved more than anything in all the nine realms. The man who manages to make you smile, even if you got no reason to smile. Your love reached deeper than the roots of Yggdrasil - and now you were bound together; connected for the rest of both your life's. The shining emerald ring on your finger was the proof.

This was what you always wanted... What you always hoped and wished for. Not many princesses had the luck to choose their future husband. Or well, happening to fall in love for the promised man. In your case, though, it was different...

You didn't have a much luck in your actual wealthy, royal life as the princess of Alfheim. Your father died, when you were just a child. Your mother had troubles getting over his death, fell into a lot of dark holes, which caused the kingdom to almost fall. Almost. Your life wasn't always filled with blessings, or offered you many choices, but for this one time, fate was kind to you. Meeting Loki was a coincidence. Falling in love with him was destiny. Marrying him was a promise.

All eyes were directed on you. You could feel everybody's gaze on you. The little hairs on the back of your neck standing up straight, as you stepped with slow, elegant steps towards Loki, who waited for you in the middle of the grand ballroom of the Alfheim palace. The handsome god had a smile on his face; hands fidgeting with the hem of the sleeves of his beautiful, elegant green, black and gold tunic. He was nervous, just like you. Having so many eyes on him wasn't a thing he was used to. His eyes travelled up and down your body, feeling his heart skip a beat at the stunning emerald green wedding dress you wore. His colours. You were wearing his colours. If this wouldn't be your wedding anyway, you'd show everybody that you belonged to him. That you were his.

It felt like time slowed down, as you finally reached him and placed your hand in his. You couldn't help but exchange a loving smile with your husband, as he pulled you gently closer. He raised your intertwined hands, pressed a soft kiss on your knuckles, before he reluctantly let go of your hand again. Seconds later, gentle music started to play, signalling you and Loki, that it was time to start your wedding dance. It was a soft tune. Romantic, happy, but still had a royal touch to it. You and Loki circled each other. His hands were firmly crossed behind his back, as he moved elegantly around you. His head always followed his movements, not letting you out of his sight. Just like you did. Loki took a step closer to you then. Your husband uncrossed his arms from behind his back and reached out for you. The moment his hand came into contact with the clothed skin of your waist, you had to fight off a gasp. The contact caused a shiver to run down your spine; sending sparks through your whole body. You knew this would happen, and yet his touch overwhelmed you. It wasn't an inappropriate touch, but it felt so intense and intimate. You quickly refocused, head snapping up to meet his gaze - which was just as intense as his touch. Your eyes locked - and you shortly feared you were going to drown in those oceanic blue orbs. They held so much love, causing your heart to skip a beat. You saw your future in Loki's eyes. Everything that was, is and was going to be. In that moment, you knew he was forever going to be your tower of strength. Your safe haven. There was nothing to be afraid of. Not with Loki by your side. Not with those starry eyes sparking up my darkest night, you thought with a smile. This love was going to last forever.

Oh how much you wanted to kiss him right now, but you couldn't. This was your wedding dance, after all...

At some point the song picked up a bit, signalling you and Loki, that the romantic part was soon over and with that your first dance as a wedded couple. You and Loki did one last spin, with a hand on each other's waist, before you both let go; hands intertwining once again, as you took in your final position. You smiled at him, just like he was smiling at you, pure love radiating from the both of you.

Dancing came just naturally to you both. Not just because you had practiced this dance quite a few times before your wedding, no, but also because you were enjoying it so much. You floated somewhere on cloud nine with Loki and that was exactly what this dance represented. You enjoyed every second of this dance, every step you and Loki took on the marble floor. He spun you gently in a circle, causing your dress to sway with the movement, before held onto your waist again, leading you elegantly over the dance floor.

All the people who attended this royal wedding stood on the side-lines, watching you and Loki with dreamy smiles.

The song didn't stop, though. It just changed, signalling everybody that the dance floor was declared open now; inviting the guests to join in on the dance - which almost everybody did. Within a few moments, you and Loki were surrounded by happily dancing couples. You looked around, amazed. It was a sight to behold. But before you could marvel longer at the breath-taking sight, you felt Loki's hands on your waist again, pulling you into the next dance. Yes, this was truly the happiest day in your life.

I was feeling under the weather for most of yesterday, so I didn't really feel like writing about the new episode after I watched it the other day... 🤒

But now, I'm ready to discuss episode 32 of Spy X Family...!! 👍

Yesterday's episode adapted the rest of Mission 48 as well as Missions 49 and 50 of the manga, and I have to say... There were plenty of things that I enjoyed about this episode...! 😄

First off, I loved how they did Yor's fight with Barnaby, it was very well animated and they even made Yor look just as scary as she did in the manga...!!: 😆

We also finally got to see THIS hilarious scene animated...!!: 🤣

I couldn't stop LAUGHING the first time I saw this in the manga, and I do think that the anime did a great job recreating it!! 😁 Though I have to admit, this is where I started to have a little bit of an issue with this episode...

After recreating this MASTERPIECE of a scene in the anime...: 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

The episode's pacing kind of felt all over the place to me... 😓 Like, the part with Zeb remembering what Olka's family did for him and others after the war and Yor's lament about her assassin job are paced very well, while the part with Anya trying to distract Loid so she could help Yor felt like they were trying to rush through it... 😩

I don't know, maybe I would've preferred it if today's episode had all of Mission 48 to work with and ended with Yor's lament at the end of Mission 49, then make Mission 50 a whole episode on it's own and add some anime only activities that Loid and Anya could take part in...!! 😤 But it's okay, I fine with a proper adaption of these chapters...! 😌 (Though, I am holding out hope for Mission 56 to be extended into a full episode...! 🤞)

Anyway, sorry about my little rant about the pacing of this episode and on to the changes that I noticed...!! 😄

There were a few dialogue changes that I noticed, like Loid's version of Joseph Joestar's iconic "OH MY GOD!!" (which I thought was funnier 🤣) in the anime, while he says "Oh my goodness gracious!" in the manga; as well as Anya singing different lyrics for the little song she sang:

But... The biggest change that I noticed had to be THIS:

You see, in the anime, this man was sniffing around like a normal person, but as you can see in the manga...

THIS MAN HAS A SUPER SNIFFER!! 😵

I don't know why they changed how Sir Sniffs-a-Lot (or Sniff Jobs as most call him) got Yor's group scent, but I definitely prefer the crazy way he got it in the manga...!! 😤

And I think that's all I wanna say about this episode...! Even though I had quite a few issues with it, I still pretty much enjoyed the episode overall...!! 😁

Looks like next week's episode is also going to adapt three chapters and can't wait to see it!! 😆 So I'll see guys next week; same spy time, spy channel...!! 😎 LATER!! 👋😁

For how they would like to be proposed and propose (I’ll keep it under the cut since it’ll be quite long):

They don’t really have any favorite specific way of being proposed, the only thing they care is that it’s MC who’s proposing them ☺️ Although, they do prefer it to be more private with only MC and them or other close family/friends around and not being proposed in public spaces with strangers watching their special moment 😄

As for how they would like to propose MC… They are a pretty emotional and impulsive person. They would try to make some sort of plan to propose MC: Buy a ring, go on a date and have dinner/lunch together, go on a bike ride with MC, go to a place that’s special for both them and MC and then propose MC there 🧐

But in reality, they would most likely propose MC in a spur-of-the-moment decision. Maybe they’ve just had spicy time with MC or maybe they were just cuddling with MC when they were suddenly overwhelmed by the feeling of love they feel for MC and decide to propose MC right there and then. They might not even have a ring yet 😆

They would like to be proposed on a romantic dinner night, either home-cooked (if MC is good in cooking 😂) or going to an exclusive and expensive fine-dining restaurant.

But… they are not sure they would have enough money left with their shitty pay to even be able to bring MC somewhere far and exotic, since they also wanted to buy an expensive ring for MC 😭
