saiki kusuo using nonverbal ways to say "i love you" to his mom growing up because she knew it was hard for him to say it out loud so they created some sort of system for it

she knows he loves her cuz he shows it all the time but its nice to be reassured as a mother, and he wants to say it but it feels unnatural for him..

they thought about sign language but kusuo found it too obvious and embarrassing, plus he didnt want to have to actually grab her attention before saying it because that was almost as embarrassing as just saying it out loud, so he doesnt do that but his parents still use it with him sometimes (they arent fluent in sign, they just know simple phrases like "i love you" "im here" "are you okay") even though kusuo can literally hear their thoughts so he hears the phrases out loud anyway

morse code was also too complicated for his parents and also too long to be convenient.. his dad jokingly brought up slow blinking like kusuos a cat and kusuo almost actually considered it before snapping out of it and vehemently refusing lmfao..

so they just kind of make up a short gesture thats unique to them, like a triple pat or tap anywhere, and both hearing it and feeling it means i love you..

usually its three pats on the shoulder, or on the back during a hug, or taps on the hand.. but when kusuo doesnt want to touch or be touched, its just three taps on the dinner table, or on his door while hes going to bed, or just on the wall next to them..

its VERY nice for kurumi cuz her son goes from never saying i love you to "saying" it almost every day..

theres definitely some sort of memorabilia of the first time kusuo actually says i love you out loud..... like a date written in a picture frame or on a note on the fridge or something LMFAO

okay anyway, its something you constantly hear/see in their house and their friends pick up on it but dont know what it means.. they theorize that its some kind of code or just a habit they picked up from each other.. their theory solidifies as it being some sort of compulsive habit when they notice that kusuo has started to do it while hanging out with THEM occasionally, like three taps on his ramen bowl during an outing, quickly tapping someones hand three times while passing something to them, three soft pats on the lunch table every time one of their friends sits down and hes having a good day, etc..

so obviously one day he gets exposed when his mom mentions their little system offhandedly and everyone looks over at kusuo like (´⊙ω⊙`) and bros just standing there like a dog caught doing something embarrassing, tail between his legs☠️

The makeshift green house is the pool isn’t it? Did Jade use the pool of octavinille to make a his-HOW HE DID IT UNDER AZUL’S NOSE?!

Jade has several hidden in Octavinelle. Including one of the walk-in pantries, the tops of the aquariums, and this once specifically is part of the pool filtration system. Specifically, the space between the pipes and heaters.

The reason Azul doesn't know is that Jade is sneaky and hides them very well. The plants blend in well, or the other dorm members are too scared of Jade to mention anything. Azul also doesn't care until it causes a problem, such as mushrooms growing within the pool's piping and causing a flood. Jade's gotten a lot more careful since then.

JDRAMA TIME!! (tysm btw !!!!)

ramblings below the cut as usual (also spoilers? go watch the jdrama i double dog dare you)

ok so i watched the jdrama with my sibling after seeing a shitpost about the casting and i lost my MIND. i hadn't really seen any major spoilers beforehand so i basically experienced it all in real time and boy i loved it.

i know it def took some liberties with its story but that's part of why i liked it so much, i eat up aus and different interpretations or whatever so i really didn't mind the minor changes. my only qualm is that watari's bitchass outlives L smh who decided that /lh

above all i love the way they characterized light so much. they let him be stupid!! thank god!! he yelled at ryuk in a lecture hall full of students!! he finger-gunned!! he walked into a door!! he felt much more flawed and even i found myself relating to him at times! they really added to his relationship with soichiro which i loved. their arc had me gripping my heart in agony but that's normal for me when i think of soichiro for too long so like,,

jdrama light quickly became my favourite light because of this. i could think about him forever and i just might!

the only word i can use to describe jdrama L is 'babygirl'. the way they characterised him was so fun and different,, and lord if episode 8 didn't break me. suddenly i'm 12 years old again and grieving this man. and the way light reacted to his death?? the way the scene played out?? it was absolutely gut wrenching. i had to take a walk.

and while we're talking about gut wrenching, can i just say that L & soichiro are such an underrated duo?? i didn't expect to lose my mind over L saying that he thought of soichiro like a father but here i am, still not recovered completely,

and i'll just cut this off by saying that making mello a fucking PUPPET was certainly a choice.
