10 Jikook Fanfictions Part 1

I said I'd make a list before the end of the year and I kept my promise. Now, it's difficult to choose, especially when I have more than 300 bookmarks and unfortunately I also started doing that some year and a half ago. Safe to say, there's probably plenty of good fics I read that are now lost. Anyway, enough with the boring chit chat, here's 10 random jikook fics in no particular order and most likely, several other parts will follow, probably next year 😉

1. Dead in the Water

It's been a couple of years since I read this and honestly, I barely remember much, but what I do know it's that it had an impact on me. Usually fics that have death as a central theme end up resonating with me, but perhaps it's because I've always been attracted to more darker fiction. This one is gritty and there's a lot of pain and I must have cried a lot (those tend to stick in my head)

2. we're holding hands beneath the silver screen

I think this story is taking place in the 90s (you'll see that a lot of the fics I recommend are taking place in the past). I think I ended up reading everything ChimneyCricket wrote, but this one remained a favorite. Coming of age during a summer in Jeju in the 90s. Apart from the theme, it's the writing that made me stick with it.

I'm not the biggest fan of young adult stories. Or better yet, it's not something that I'd go to as a preference. When I do, it's more of an indulgence and thankfully, I found some writers (like this one) who can do a really good job with the genre.

3. Stockwell

Another writer that I've become a big fan of after reading one fic of theirs. And I think it might have been Stockwell that did it for me. I like that it's fanfiction with adult themes for an adult audience. And I also resonate with a lot of the cultural references and themes. I will also admit that this fic leaning into the enemies to lovers trope was a selling point because I'm a sucker for it. I can't help myself.

4. Burn for You

This is a complete self indulgence for me and I embrace it. Just like watching Bridgerton is a guilty pleasure for which I don't actually feel guilty (and the inspo for this fic). This story has everything and I must say the combination of lust, fear of revealing feelings, rumors, proper behavior and hidden romance is a lethal combination!

5. Light of a century

I might have recommended this story before, but it being inspired by Up on Poppy Hill is not just due to the plot, but the writing is able to evoke that studio Ghibli mood. This fic is to be read on a hot weekend afternoon.

6. Map of the Soul

This might be one of the most complex fanfictions I read due to the amount of research needed, but also in the depiction of political contexts and identity politics. Most of all, I like it because as much as relationships are a vital part of the story, there is an entire world surrounding the main characters. Events and other people that have also room to develop and not just remain props that advance the story.

7. Proceed with Caution

I don't know what snatchim did with this fic, but it's the only one I ever reread multiple times and I'll probably do it again in the future. I don't even reread books from my library, let alone fanfics. But Proceed with Caution did it for me. Perhaps it's because of the process of Jungkook inevitably falling for Jimin and even though it's a bad thing considering the context, it's so good. Maybe it's the image of Jimin with a bellybutton ring or maybe because the picture of hot Californian days in the 70s is so vivid, it feels like a nostalgic Paul Thomas Anderson movie.

8. Dishwater World They Said Was Lemonade

The description does not do this story justice because it's so much more than that. It's a canon compliant thriller with really complicated and complex characters and once again, a story meant for adults who understand that it's fiction. Unfortunately, judging by the comment section, a lot of people cannot distinguish betweem real people and characters. For those of you who might be fans of Korean thrillers, this story might be the one for you. It's also one of my favorite jikook fics as well.

9. souvlaki

Need I say more, considering the description? This is a self indulgence as well, but of a different kind. If I happily read tropey fics, I also like the ones that can sound like a uni course. Set during the 1997 FMI crisis in SK, any reader will get familiar with a socioeconomic and political perspective of that time through the eyes of the main characters. If you're only looking for romance, this one is not for you.

10. you wouldn't remember

I think littleflumes might be currently my favorite writer of canon compliant jikook. I think the author really captured their dynamic in its essence and the room left for fiction perfectly fills in the holes left in the last 2 years and up until the present. But what did it for me, not only with this story, but the others in the series as well, is that it's concentrated almost entirely on the two main characters, almost living in a bubble of their own in which their relationship can be explored.

i dont mind the question at all!! even if i was a deep lurker in feedism communities of most of my fandoms. looking "chubby draco malfoy " into google images since 2012 (￣▽￣*)ゞ and later religiously following wg-writers of whatever fandom i migrated through. i would always send so many asks, and when i got into BTS i was older, and properly aware of what feedism was, and actively looking for it on tumblr. back then it was a handful of people with now deactivated blogs and @bangtanstummies (who as im writing this blog see has a deactivated blog as well :,) , i swear going through my dms is like going through a cementary) . i try to stay in touch with as many of the people now as i can!! but everyone will know im the suckiest at texts (@cookiesuga55 will know ) but id love to chat more and be more present

anyway back to the community in 2018, i really loved their stuff, and i felt like there was still room to add new ideas (which was hard in a fandom with as much fanficiton as BTS's) , thats what inspired to make my blog!! back then it was claled bangtangchub, and i didnt know how to activate my asks, bangtanstummies was the one to let me know and we even got into a discord all of us together!!! crazy times ( ◡‿◡ *) i remember being the oldest of the group👴 i was 15 at the time, some coudl argue it wasn't my place to be writing fetish fanfiction, maybe theyre right. but i found such a happy place in my fics. not only have i met some of my closest friends through here; (people ive met in real life!?!? ) but its helped me so much to find a safe place to explore my emotions, sexuality, and craft a hobby that was all my own. i dont think im that good of a writer, but i am really so proud of having stuck to something for so long, and having worked on it all by myself.

often times i feel like i lack the motivation to do anything with my life, and just all-around consider myself someone who lacks the strength and backbone to really do hard things. and i like to think of this blog, and my journey in it, as a place that proof i can... idk,, be good at things i worked hard on.

ANYWAY!! that was a long rant. As for the character i like writing the most about!! welli role play as jungkook almost daily! so i do feel a lot of myself in him. but i love writing all characters, over the years i really made an effort to not fall into a comfortable ship, because i really do think you could spin a wheel and whatever combination of bts members ahs their own unique loving dynamic.

as for things to come!! im working on a fic inspired by some art i saw recently by @gigichingado , jikook, im really liking how its turning out, and ofc because its me, its stretching out more and more in the build up ( _ _ ") . but i want it done over this week!! ps, i saw your obese tae requests, and i can definetly get something out after that (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

Hi. I'm trying to find a Jikook fic where Jimin grew up being bullied by his school mate (he did it because he had internalized homophobia and blamed Jimin for "making" him gay, because he was in love with Jimin). The last time when he took the bullying to far, Jimin changed schools and moved to another city. As he (the bully) became a man, he regretted what he'd put Jimin through and searched for him, found him on social media and has been stalking him ever since. He and Jimin are friends and have been chatting for years but Jimin doesn't know that the guy he's having conversations with every day is the bully who made existence a living hell for him. He's obsessed with Jimin and is jealous of Jungkook (even though Jikook aren't together yet) because he can see the chemistry and the feelings between them.

The last chapter I read was when the bully revealed himself to Jimin and had him cornered in the bathroom of a club. He became physically violent with Jimin (the way he used to when they were kids) because Jimin rejected him after he confessed his "love" to him.

Please I hope someone knows the title🙏

honestly i absolutely adore these versions of my boys they have been my loves and my companions these 6 weeks of writing this and i am going to be terribly sad to let them go. but my favorite thing i think has to be discovering the joy again in the actual process of writing, not just the result. writing this story has given me so much back that i never dreamed i would ever have again, something i lost for 10 long years and thought was gone for good

re: ktkkers--i speak relatively decent Korean and this is what I've noticed as far as Korean tkkers go. there are a handful of delusional ones left, of course there are, but most ktkkers are very casual shippers. they're into the visual of two hot guys banging and to squeal at their cute moments, and that's it. there was an entire thread of ktkkers on pann admitting last year that they either fell out of the fandom after tae's famous weverse post, or they turned to casual shipping. i imagine there was a similar exodus after taennie in paris. if you look at the bigger ktkker accts that are truly delulu, a lot of them interact mostly and are followed mostly by i-tkkers who continue to platform them because they think anything written in Korean about tkk is word of law (and to be fair, i-jkkers tend to do this too).

searching their ship names on kkt open talk, which is where a lot of chatting happens outside of twt, will show you the difference in volume. the largest jkk group chat, which needs a special jkk-related password to get into, has 400+ members and is fairly active with people talking about fic, cute moments, etc, on a daily basis. the jkk pic chat (basically no text is allowed, only pics, gifs, and videos of jikook) has 500+ members. by contrast, there are only a handful of tkk group chats and even the largest password protected one (which is also a pics/video only chat) barely exceeds 100 members. the volume just isn't there on the k-side to the same extent that it used to be. the sad part is that the k-tkker pic chat has a ton of likes, which means that at one point they did have a stronger membership, but their numbers have drastically dwindled since then.

Also can I ask your opinion on something? I came from one of the Asian country that see LGBTQ as something taboo and sinful, so I just learned more about LGBTQ this past 3 years. I'm not a fan of K-pop or K-Drama (sorry, I know your blog from your fav fictional couples post and books recs, not from your BTS posts), but a lot of my friends and cousins love them. They love shipping between boy band members or between actors but when I tried to talk about BL manga/manhwa or MLM books, they scold me and said that those media are sinful and gay people really need help and can be "changed".

I'm confused now, how can they love shipping those guys (and are their fans) but said queer media and queer people need help?

I will say that it honestly just sounds like simple homophobia and queer fetishization from your friends and cousins. And it's probably not something that will change for them without them working on themselves ALOT. Which is unfortunate. You can try to help point them in the right direction if you are mentally up for that, but you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink 🤷🏻‍♀️ for more details on both of those things, like homophobia and fetishization, you can start with these posts here, if you've seen them yet or not.

In relation to Jikookers and other ships, my honest opinion. We don’t take anyone else seriously but Jikook. I’m only speaking from the circle I surround myself with, there are outliers for everything of course.

We HATE tkkrs because they constantly insert themselves in Jikook spaces, anywhere, everywhere, it’s like their mission to infiltrate and indoctrinate. They spend more time on jikook pages than their own! That and their inability to keep JM out of their mouths makes them our most hated.

Other shippers are tame, they stay in their lane and rarely chat shit about other members to serve their ship. Jikookers mostly find the idea of the other duos cute and admit to cute *friendship/bromance* moments amongst most of the other pairings.

We honestly don’t believe any of them are in romantic relationships apart from Jikook (even though I have seen some namjinners who are serious about them in the same way that they’re serious about Jikook 🫤)

Long & short of it:

1. We only believe & care about Jikook as a real couple. Most Jikookers only focus on Jikook & also the group as a whole. We have too much content to waste time anywhere else.

2. The fanfic writers fuck with any ship alongside Jikook in their fics.

3. The Jikook riders/shooters gun for tkkrs BECAUSE tkkrs come for JM (and sometimes JK when the situation arises to blame him for something). TH sometimes sadly catches strays from Jikook shooters because of tkkrs ALWAYS fucking with JM. They push against the tkkrs who invade first. It’s not out of nowhere but normally in retaliation, nlike tkkrs who answer when not called like THE VERMIN they are. Tkkrs only ever mean to us the deranged ‘fans’ NOT the two idols.

Did the JK/Felix rumors come from a popular Skz author’s fic that was being posted on X at the time? I read that one. It was mostly in WhatsApp chat format, and it was a Bangchan/Felix fic with a little Jikook thrown in. The whole concept was based around a dating rumor between JK/Flx that then had Jimin instigate a double date between the four of them, where things all come to a head, and Chan realizes his feelings for Flx.

I truly can find very little about the origin of those rumors. To me it does look like fans making the whole thing up. They probably like both Felix and Jk, saw an interaction at one point and went with it.

Pairing: Park Jimin & Jeon Jungkook

Summary: There is a God roaming Jeon Jungkook’s college campus - a God with bleach blond hair, sweater paws, and the most beautiful smile he has ever seen. He’ll get the courage to speak to him soon, he swears, and then he’ll build a temple and worship this man’s ass until the end of his days.

There is a wrong number on Jeon Jungkook’s phone - a number belonging to someone named Diminie who is funny and kind, someone that gets him, someone that he can’t stop thinking about.

Sitting in the musty library instead of being outside with his friends on this perfect sunny day was Jungkook’s idea of a nightmare. Still, ignoring his study time yesterday to watch movies with Diminie had been worth it. 

He hadn’t known there were still people alive that hadn’t watched any of the marvel movies, but when Jungkook had suggested they watch Ironman, his new friend's response was “never seen it.” And that was just unacceptable. 

And of course once that was done he’d had to share his account info for plus so they could watch the rest. And Diminie had gone along with it all, watching as many of the movies together as they could until they were too tired to go on. 

He wasn’t sure what it was about the guy, but he really liked talking to him. He found himself wondering more and more what he looked like. If he was really as small as he seemed, if he looked cute laughing when Jungkook tried to be funny, what kind of body all those different styles of dancing were capable of creating. 

All he really knew so far was the guy’s assurance that he was “sexy” and apparently shorter than him. He’s seen one picture and it was just of his hand holding a beer after Jungkook had demanded proof they were drinking the same kind. But as far as hands went, it was nice. Cute. Obviously young, thank fuck, and so damn small. Stubby little fingers with perfectly manicured nails, like a doll’s hand. The beer can looked enormous being held by him. He bet it wouldn’t even fit if he tried to wrap it all the way around Jungkook’s dick…

Where the fuck did that come from? 

No, he knew where it came from. It was because Diminie was a menace. He was sweet and kind one second, then the next he flirted with unveiled innuendo like it was as easy to him as breathing. 

It was all, “Oh, JK, Tony just wants to be loved by someone that’ll stay. He just wants someone to want to keep him.” Then, “Look at that strut. He’s a total power bottom. Trust me, we know our own kind.” Or, “We should do this for real sometime,” followed by “Fuck I would let Loki choke me.” 

Menace

Jungkook just didn’t understand why he was thinking so much about Diminie. Did he like him? How could he when he didn’t even know what he looked like? He knew what the  guys was willing to tell him and that was it. Was Jungkook really this lonely? 

“Min Yoongi!”

A hissed greeting signaled the arrival of another person before the loud clattering of an expensive looking black messenger bag hitting the table reminded Jungkook of where he was. 

He jumped slightly, looking around for his hyung. Why would someone be looking for Yoongi in the library? 

Instead, the amused eyes of the God of this campus met his from the other side of the table. He was looking casual today in just a huge grey hoodie, no makeup, his hair free of product and fluffy. 

“We meet again.” 

Oh. That’s right. He was Min Yoongi now. 

There was no way this could possibly go wrong, he thought sarcastically. 

“Hi.” 

“I’m Park Jimin. I don’t think I got to tell you that last time. You seemed in a hurry.” 

Jimin. Yeah, that would be easy to yell when he was…

Jungkook cleared his throat, “Yeah. Sorry. I was...uhh...late for class?” 

Jimin props his chin onto his hand (they were hidden inside of his hoodie, that’s how big it was on him. Jungkook wanted to yell about how fucking cute he was), his eyes screaming that he knew Jungkook was full of shit. He grinned, cocking his head a little. 

“Yeah? So you weren’t...nervous?” 

“Me?” Jungkook sputtered. “Nope. What would I have to be nervous of? Nerves of steel. Or Iron. I am Ironman.” 

Something flashed in Jimin’s eyes, but it was gone quickly, his smile widening. 

“Of course. How silly of me. Oh, I’m not keeping you from anything serious right now, am I?” 

“Nah. Just...you know...studying. Have a big test coming in one of my classes. Didn’t have time yesterday.” 

“Okay, well, I was basically just wondering if you were going to Kim Seokjin’s party?”

“Uh, I think so. Going with a couple friends.” 

“So...just friends? You gonna bring a girlfriend? Boyfriend?” 

Jimin’s smile was lethal. Jungkook knew he was being baited into something, but he wasn’t sure what was going on. 

“Uh, just a couple of hyungs. Maybe another friend. Not sure.” 

“So I’ll see you there? We can...hang out.” 

Jungkook’s brain went into overdrive. Hang out? What the fuck does that mean? Like, play beer pong? Do some shots? Make love in someone's unwashed bed sheets before running off to get married and live happily ever after with their three adopted kids and two dogs? 

“Sure.” 

Jimin’s answering giggle was endearing and Jungkook couldn’t help smiling back. 

“Okay, I’m gonna head to my next class now and let you gay panic in peace. I’ll see you tomorrow, Yoongi!” 

Jungkook nodded before the words registered and he yelled at Jimin’s retreating back. 

“I’m not panicking. Your panicking. What the fuck did I just say out loud?” 

Jimin’s laughs before he leaves the library with a quick flutter wave behind his back at Jungkook. 

How the fuck does anyone have that much confidence?
