ethan’s heart sunk at the sight of someone on the roof, where he normally he spent his sleepless nights, thinking alone. he cautiously approached the mysterious figure, only to find out that it was a women who looked to be around his age, dressed in a lengthy white dress, with gorgeous shimmery pearls hanging loosely around your neck. 

there was something enchanting about this moonlight. you looked incredible, despite your glossy eyes and runny mascara, which had given away the fact that you had been crying. 

“you okay?” ethan muttered, unsure of what to do or say to the dazzling young girl. you jump, startled by the presence of another person. you wipe away what was left of your mascara, trying to clean up a little.

“yeah..? yeah.” you said, the first word sounding like you were trying to convince yourself, while the second ‘yeah’ sounding more persuasive and firm.

 “wanna talk about it?” the brown eyed boy suggested, unsure where he got his confidence from. something about the stranger on the rooftop made him want to learn more. 

“well, my boyfriend just broke up with me on our 6 month anniversary. he said he was taking me out to celebrate, but ended up dumping me while we were eating, elle woods style.” you shared. 

“he sounds like a real asshole. maybe it was for the best.” ethan stated. 

“i think you’re right. he was kind of an asshole.” the girl giggled in response. 

ethan grinned, taking in her beauty as they stared at each other. 

“well, i shared my story, now what about you? why are you here tonight? your girlfriend dump you?” you jokes, although you remained curious to what he reply was.

“uhm- no, no girlfriend. i like to come out here when i cant sleep. it helps me think.” he answers, taking a deep breath of the crisp, chilly air. he approached the ledge, and sat down, legs hanging off the building. it was scary the first few times, but recently he came to enjoy it. there was something so freeing about the risks of being this high up.

you mirror his actions and sit next to him. you look at the breathtaking view, before realizing there was a much better view right beside you.

you face him to ask a question. 

“how do you know?” 

ethan tilted his head in confusion, your question was to vague for him to answer. you continue talking, giving more context.

“what if he was the love of my life? how do i know?” this time, ethan can answer your question easily.

“that’s your answer, the answer is no. if you have to ask, then he wasn’t your true love. when you know, you’ll know.” 

you just hummed in response. 

“we never properly introduced ourselves. I don’t even know your name.” you inform him.

“we don’t even know each others names, and yet i still feel closer to you than anyone else in my life.” he added, letting out a dry chuckle, trying to hide how pathetic that was.

“i feel the same. you probably know more about my feelings than any of my friends, and we’ve known each other for what, five minutes?” you added. he was relieved that you shared the same emotions as him. 

you stuck out your hand. “my name is y/n.”

ethan got the memo and reached to shake your hand. the contact made butterflies fill his stomach. “my name is ethan.” he replied.

“ethan? i would have never guessed that was your name. don’t get me wrong, i think its lovely, but you look more like a conner to me.” 

ethan laughed at your comment, and swiftly formed a response. “conner? really? i think i look more like an axel.” 

“i could see that i guess, but all i can think about when i hear the name axel is this kid who bullied me in second grade.” you giggle.

“you were bullied by a kid named axel?” he teases. 

“yes!! and every day he would tell the teacher on me for something I didn’t even do!! and worse, the teacher believed him!” you were now full blown laughing, along with ethan who was starting to really enjoy talking to you.

you and him continued chatting a little longer, asking basic questions, but you wanted more. you wanted to know the real ethan.

“im tired of all these simple questions. lets go more in depth. for starters, if you only had one day left to live, would you tell anyone? why or why not?” you ask him. 

“woah. to be honest, i don’t think i would tell anyone until the end of the day, you know? why ruin your last day alive by being constantly pitied, if you could spend it happily with the people you love most?” he announced, and you nodded your head in agreement.

“now i ask you something. if were getting murdered, and got to choose the way you were killed, what would you pick?”

“wow, that took a turn. i would probably choose to get poisoned. its not painful really, and its pretty quick. just don’t poison me with bleach. i hate the smell of it.” you declared. 

this caused you both to start laughing again, to the point where your stomach hurt. after your giggle fest, your exhaustion got the best of you, and you yawned, sleepily. your actions did not go unnoticed by ethan, and he decided to call it a night. he helped walk you home, making sure to keep you safe. 

you talked the whole way home, mainly about your music taste. he was into the alternative indie kinda music, and you bonded over a few artists. then, you reached your dorm. you exchanged numbers, none of you wanting this relationship to end.

for the next week, you texted each other constantly, giving song recommendations, and just learning about one another in general. you figured out you both went to blackmore university, and took a few of the same classes. you were surprised you hadn’t seen him before, but then again, two weeks ago you weren’t looking. 

you were supposed to meet him on the rooftop again tonight. this time however, you wouldn’t be caught sulking in a dress. you changed into a more comfortable, yet gorgeous look.

eleven pm rolled around, and you headed up to the roof. ethan was already waiting for you, a bouquet of tulips in his hands. he handed them to you, and you couldn’t hold your smile back. 

“how’d you know these were my favorite?!” you  questioned him. 

“you’re mentioned it a couple times. i researched the meaning, and it turns out they symbolize growth and new beginnings, which i thought was perfect, because of your recent relationship ending and uh i-“ 

you cut him off with a hug, holding the flowers off to the side, not wanting to crush them. you pull apart so you could face him when talking. 

“they’re beautiful, eth. I can’t believe you put so much effort into them.” you informed him.

your ex boyfriend was a total dickhead, who never really cared. you weren’t sure if he even got you flowers once in your relationship. it was new having someone that cared, and the feeling of being truly loved was definitely not unwelcome. 

you both sat on the edge and started babbling like last time. 

“you know who i’d think you’d like? faye webster. she’s really good, and while she’s well known, she’s definitely underrated.” you blurt out. 

“I’ll listen to her tonight. whats your spotify?” he asks. you share your account and both follow eachother. he starts scrolling through your playlists and reviewing them. 

“taylor swift? really, y/n? i thought you were better than this.” he sarcastically says. you act offended, before retorting back. 

“taylor swift is so good! she’s popular for a reason. maybe you just haven’t heard the right album. i feel like you would like evermore or folklore.” he shakes his head, disapprovingly. he claimed he would never listen to one of her songs. (he spent 2 hours that night listening to the albums you suggested)

eventually, it got late and he started walking you home. out of the blue, he asked you an important question. 

“would you maybe want to go out with me one night? officially?” he managed to stutter out. 

“i’d love to, eth.” you respond. 

you had never really been completely sure of something, but that night you knew one thing. you were in love with ethan landry.

you don't know what else to say when you hear him slide open your window.

"ew."

"a pleasure to see you too, doll," he mutters in amusement, slipping off his shoes and leaving them on the ledge. "and here i was hoping you'd miss me."

"not in your wildest dreams." like clockwork, he makes to climb under the covers with you but you stop him with a sleepy but firm shake of your head. he gives you a look like you'd just told him to jump off a building.

"you serious?"

"shower first, then you can come in here."

"c'mon, sweetheart. i'm exhausted," he drawls and you nearly break, trying your hardest to glare at those stupidly bright eyes and infuriatingly soft smile. "let a man rest a little, yeah?"

"nope." you flip over to your other side as he scoffs at your back. when he believes you're asleep again, quiet footsteps creep toward the space beside you and the mattress sinks with the weight of his leg carefully positioning itself by yours. "shower or i'll freeze your balls off," you growl half-heartedly, very much still awake. he's not deterred in the slightest.

"you wouldn't dare." an arm drapes possessively over your lower torso and you fight the instinct to melt into him.

"wanna find out, hothead?" he clicks his tongue and lightly squeezes your hip. he was trying all his tricks tonight, but you'd learned how to pretend to be immune. "touya."

"mmm?"

"shower, please."

"the things i do for you," he murmurs in defeat, pressing a quick kiss to the top of your head before sulking off to the bathroom. you drift in and out of sleep during the time he's gone, vaguely registering the sound of the pipes creaking and the smell of his body wash. before you know it, the noise of the hair dryer ceases and your bedroom door creaks open again. this time, when he slips into the blankets with you, you don't protest as he pulls you flush against his body, your back against his chest. his chin finds the junction of your shoulder and his hair tickles the back of your neck. his warm breath exhales deeply against your skin. "you smell like me."

"ran out of shampoo," you lie and you can feel his mouth curl into an arrogant smirk. "and there's no way in hell i'm using twice's."

"it's okay to just admit that you miss me, baby," he teases and you roll your eyes. "say that you were sad and be done with it."

"go to hell," you grunt and you feel his chuckle over your body. after you finally drift off again, you turn to bury your face in his neck. his arms secure themselves around your body and you barely need the blanket anymore from how warm he naturally runs. he hums in contentment, bathing in the way that you didn't see him as the monster the rest of society did. he'd rather die than be a danger to you, to have you fear him in a way where he couldn't hold you closer when you needed him. he loved your biting tongue and your razor-sharp wit, but he also loved how you trusted him to protect you while you rested. he was safe for you.

and, even if he never admitted it aloud, you were safety for him, too.

im having some post totk zelink thoughts and i need to get them out rn

- they obviously have mad separation anxiety after it all that isnt even debatable they are not to be separated under any circumstances or they’ll throw up

- link still has rauru’s arm idc argue with the wall healing his arm was LAZY

- zelda taking link to some of her favourite places that she saw as a dragon

- some of them are high in the sky so they compromise by sitting on the edge of a sky island thats close enough

- zelda experiencing using recall on a fallen piece of sky island and being both terrified and invigorated

- they cling to each other (lest he let her fall Again)

- link commisions sayge to make zelda her own paraglider and they fire themselves out of the skyview towers to get to islands they cant w recall

- zelda’s wildly laughing the whole timw

- link looks at her like she hung the stars in the sky

- he takes her to courage island to show her one of the steward constructs

- shes almost crying from how cute it is

- she asks it a million questions about how it works, what its like to run this challenge, literally anything else about it

- “hey zelda check this out”

- he’s at the top of the island. zelda’s staring in awe and horror

- link shows off with the glider set and beats the record he set before

- she’s suitably impressed, though she has to ignore the gnawing feeling in her stomach ab falling

- link’s proud grin snaps her out of it

- zelda insists link joins her in taking a picture with the steward construct

- it clinks happily and zelda nearly bursts

- they both decide to conquer their fear of falling by standing at the ledge of the island, glider sets on (link Also had a set commissioned for zelda. she isnt surprised at how much money he has), hand in hand and they leap Together this time

- zelda’s screaming and laughing and link is laughing too

- their grip on their hands is Tight

- both of their hearts are beating out of their chests but the view of hyrule is just so breathtaking that it momentarily overshadows their fear

- link pulls zelda to his chest and she holds on

- he deploys his paraglider and sets them down gently in the grass (even though the sets are impact proof, but one fear at a time)

- their hair is messed up and wild but they’re grinning and laughing and holding each other and maybe everything is okay

- they go home and link cooks hylian tomato pizza. he thinks about taking her to the great sky island tomorrow

- plus…… the lily pads are fun to jump on….

Sigma and Lucy and their connection to Atsushi (+the pattern with people Atsushi wants to help and how Sigma falls into it)

(Or how they all fall into it, and quite literally fall since for some reason there's a repeated pattern of important moments between Kyouka, Lucy and Sigma when it comes to Atsushi and one or both of them falling or jumping from a high ledge)

I've never been able to stop thinking about this so I'm finally making a post on this.

I'm gonna mainly compare chapter 28 and chapter 76, and the events surrounding these chapters that take place on the same day as them and in relation to them.

The chapters show us more on a member of the enemy terrorist organisation that the ADA are currently up against. In the chapter (or around this chapter for Sigma), we see the backstory of a member and bit of their ideology.

This character started out life with no family and no home, being used and abused in their early years.

It's noted that their backstory is similar to Atsushi's, and that they are actually very similar to him.

The character loses their home in this chapter (or implied in this chapter for Lucy), and the only family they had that they desperately clung onto and fought for. Even if it wasn't a proper family, it was all they had. They'd been alone their whole lives and didn't want to be alone again.

The home and family in question are on a floating structure in the sky. This is also where the chapter takes place.

Atsushi says something to this character that affects them. The character ends up helping him just before the two part ways.

This is the last look they give Atsushi before they leave eachother

The character and Atsushi leave eachother by one of them falling. For Chapter 28 it's Atsushi who jumps off leaving Lucy, and they leave with a hopeful interaction of them meeting again. For Chapter 76, it's Sigma who falls leaving Atsushi, with a less hopeful interaction of Atsushi believing Sigma is dead and Sigma letting go believing he would die.

Notably in this chapter, right after Sigma falls Lucy shows up. The last ex-terrorist now friend/ally to Atsushi. And in opposition to both Chapter 28 (where Atsushi jumped away from her) and the scene that just happened (with Atsushi failing to save an enemy) she jumps off a high ledge TOWARDS Atsushi to save him. Lucy was where Sigma currently is, and both her and her bond with Atsushi have grown a lot since then, and this could also be the future for Sigma.

There is a promise for Atsushi to save this character. Unfortunately, he doesn't end up saving them. They also get taken again by their organisation, no longer by any will of their own.

Chapter 76 including these three with notable moments definitely feels to me like a comparison of Lucy and Sigma and their relationship with Atsushi. Sigma's situation is very similar to Lucy's as I've previously shown. Terrorists that have recently suffered loss in regards to their found home and family, that get a connection with Atsushi in this chapter. Unlike with Lucy, Sigma and Atsushi left eachother without hope of seeing the other again or Atsushi being able to help them (for the characters, the story itself does give hope of this happening). Then Lucy shows up, as a reminder of the last enemy he helped that DID turn out OK, and to show how far Lucy has come since then, since she was where Sigma is. It shows that hope might not be lost for Sigma either.

With it already being established that Sigma now wants to become an ADA member, the possibility of seeing Sigma grow like Lucy did and develop a bond with Atsushi like she did gets closer to being canon. There's something there and I'm really looking forward to seeing how Sigma's character could possibly develop after this arc (and when he wakes up because my guy is likely in a coma rn 😔)

The Pattern

I've stated that Lucy being in chapter 76 is important to show the connection Sigma could eventually have with Atsushi, but even though she's not in that chapter it's also important to note Kyouka. In the sky Casino mission to retrieve Sigma, where Sigma and Atsushi meet for the first time, it was specifically Lucy and Kyouka who went with Atsushi.

For both Lucy and Kyouka, there were three notable incidents with Atsushi until they become allied with the ADA permanently.

Kyouka:

- Atsushi saving her from the train

- Atsushi saving her from Akutagawa

- Kyouka escaping the Guild and becoming an official ADA member

Lucy:

- Atsushi beating Lucy

- Atsushi and Lucy's talk on the Whale

- Atsushi and Lucy's meeting in the cafe

The pattern here was there being a first meeting where Atsushi is shown wanting to help the character even though they're an enemy that he just thought against and a terrorist.

The next incident takes place a while after the first and is a pivotal point where its made certain in the story that things will turn out OK for the enemy character. A bond is set between them and Atsushi. -------------------------- After the second incident, things in fact do not turn out OK for the character and the audience was actually led into a false security. Kouyou shows up after to try and take back Kyouka, and the Guild kidnaps Lucy from her room before Atsushi can 'come back and save her'. Now the character is in danger again and their fate is once again up in the air, only now there's more at stake since a bond with Atsushi has already been established and the audience has been given the chance to grow attached to them. Whether or not this character will be able to join 'the side of the light' and have a home and family like they wanted is uncertain again

It's the third incident that sets into stone again that the character does in fact turn out OK. They reunite with Atsushi, and they finally get to live a good life with a home and the freedom to live how they wished to. The character is now connected with the ADA and after this point in the story, no matter what happens to the character their place in the light is never thrown into question again, they belong here.

So I believe this could happen with Sigma. He doesn't follow the exact same process, considering that Sigma is also being helped by Dazai, and could be grouped with Atsushi as someone Dazai saved, but chapter 76 still follows the pattern well enough that I believe this could happen.

We've already had our first incident with their meeting. Despite me comparing this chapter to Lucy and Atsushi's second meeting, for Sigma and Atsushi this still fits into the territory of the first part of the pattern.

(Intetesting note: Unlike with Lucy and Kyouka, after it was established that Atsushi wanted to help the enemy, this was the first time where Atsushi 'failed' to. He jumped from the train with Kyouka, he jumped off the Whale after promising to come back for Lucy, but at the sky Casino it was Sigma who fell instead, and Atsushi stayed thinking that he just saw the last of a now dead man that he failed to help. Then again, it could just be following the pattern and we'll see a more hopeful outcome with their second meeting)

The second incident will likely be them meeting again. It will end more hopefully, with a further bond between Atsushi and Sigma and more hope for Sigma joining the ADA.

If we then follow the pattern, something bad will happen to Sigma to throw this off course, and put into question whether he'll actually be able to join the ADA and get a home.

This will last for some time, until the third part eventually comes where Sigma finally gets to stay with his new home and new life. After this, it should be permanent to the story and Sigma shouldn't have his status as an ADA member/ally put into question or at risk again.

Evie tied her laces around her ankle on her roller skates — impalas, pink with red hearts, her favorite pair, gotten on a Valentine’s Day special — tightening the Velcro she stood, flattening her light pink tennis skirt, with a white stripe through it , matching her white socks with a pink stripe, up to her knees, a white tank-croptop with red straps, and a pink choker with a heart shaped metal loop rink eyeshadow, and red lipstick, the tips of her hair dyed pink

She pushed off grinning on the hot summer day, she loved skating, favorite activity, it kept her nice and fit, expecially after her transition she was scared of going to the gym, but this helps, a lot.

She did a warm up lap around the skate park before skating up a hill, turning sharply and flying down, she loved the adrenaline rush. She skated up another hill and right back down, she practiced more, warming up her muscles before deciding it was time for the pool, her favorite place to skate

She pulled up to the pool before dropping in down to the the deep end, before up and up, right to the ledge, jumping up, flipping around—she loved the dead leaves on the ground, the graffiti in the pool the way the wheels of her skates and other skaters, mostly skateboards, clicked against the asphalt in unison the skate park was such a comfort place, where she felt free, where she met people, she loved it—to face the pool, before dropping back in, she messed around a bit, just enjoying herself before decided if it was a water break

She got out of the pool skating down the ramp that lead up to the pool, going to turn out but- ah shit

She stumbled over some rock, nearly crashing into some Skateboarder but-

He was quick to slide off his board and catch her, dipping her down before wrapping his arms around her back, pulled very close to him

“Shit..”eve muttered

“Hey, don’t worry, i won’t let you fall” the Skateboarder smiled wide, he had pretty dimples, accentuated with piercings through the cheek, and pretty eyes, lined in dark kohl

Eve blushed and laughed softly “thank you.” She stood steadying herself and flattening her skirt, adjusting her shirt

The guy paused, taking a breath and glancing over eve “I’m Eddie, Eddie Munson at your service” the guy- Eddie, reached his hand out, eve took it ready to shake it but instead, Eddie bowed, lowering one knee and kneeling his head and pressing a kiss to her knuckles

“I’m…eve, friends call me evie.” She smiled widely

“Great to meet you eve” Eddie smiled “nice skates”

“Nice board” eve smiled gesturing to the board covered in stickers and scratches most metal bands that she didn’t know of, yet some she did

“Thanks.” Eddie smiled and they just kinda stared, neither wanting to leave the others presence “hey uh…do you wanna get coffee or somthing? I know this place nearby, uh- real good” he smiled

“Yeah, absolutely…let em change outta these” she smiled gesturing to the skates and pads

“Awesome.” Eddie smiled

Eddie speed walked away, attempting his absolute best to see cool, he ran up the biggest ramp where gareth and grant were hanging out, sharing a joint, Eddie’s eyes wide, gareth caught on first his eyes widening

“No way, no fucking way!” Gareth stood

“No fucking shit.” Grant followed much taller than gareth, typically Eddie would have laughed at that but he was too in shock

“Guys what the fuck she said yes ” Eddie grinned running a hand through his hair

“Dude, she is hot as hell ” grant laughed “no way she said yes to you”he scoffed

“No! You don’t get it she- she said yes, her names eve- and….oh my god.” Eddie grinned tapping the railing

“So- what when are you getting coffee?” Gareth asked

“Uh-…” Eddie glanced at a nonexistent watch

“Hey Eddie! I’m all done!” Eve smiled and waved

Marinette

Into the unknown (frozen 2) - original and cristina vees cover make me think so hard about marinette its crazy. her initially refusing to be ladybug, insistent that she couldnt do it but always coming back because she desperately wants to test those waters, see what shes meant to do and how it could change her.

Ladybug

Ribs (lorde) - how easily overwhelmed marinette gets and how her anxiety and stress almost force her to overthink every aspect of her life. I can see her getting this extreme tunnel vision where she cant see all the progress shes made, all the victories shes already had, and instead can only focus on how shes not doing enough, and its not fast enough, and its not good enough. it just really reminds me of how badly she wants to prove herself to be this strong and trustworthy hero, but she feels like shes losing herself as she grows and isolates herself more and more in the role of guardian and ladybug.

Adrien

Mamas boy (dominic fike) - he literally IS the mamas boy. what more can i say. also alludes to him being a sentimonster with the lines "when i was born, you were produced", "i wish i was a toy", "youre made from plastic im just blood".

Chat Noir

First love/late spring (mitski) - ok hear me out. how chat compensates for his family life with devoting himself to ladybug. "one word from you and i would jump off of this ledge im on" is exactly how he operates with her, being ready to throw himself in front of her, literally die for her if she ever said so. and she never does! she gets upset with him for doing it over and over! i just think this song depicts really well how chat noirs goal was always "do whatever I can to help ladybug, no matter what i may lose" while she had to watch him leave his life in her hands like it was nothing.

Show Yourself (frozen 2) - both the original and cristina vees cover (WHICH IS SO GOOD GO LISTEN TO IT RN) remind me so hardcore of ladynoir. the whole idea of ladybug finally coming to terms with showing chat who she truly is and being ready for the same from him, idk i can imagine an entire movie in my head of ladynoir reveal to this song. Blame (air traffic controller) - this is probably one of my all time favorite songs like fucking ever and tbh i can see it with all lovesquare sides but i feel like ladynoir is the best fit! Chat picking ladybug up when she falls down and constantly being there to remind her she was to get up and fight, theres no time to sit and pity and blame herself, and he wont let her. him being her voice of reason as she copes with losing almost everything to monarch, him grounding her and being one of her biggest motivations to go on! with how severely marinette overthinks and doubts herself, he just becomes a mantra of 'dont blame yourself' which she desperately needs [fav lyrics: "Dont blame yourself cause you tried as hard as hell with the hand that you were dealt", "get on your feet, enough 'poor me', if you got time to bitch and whine then theres still time to try again", "And the vultures they are circling overhead, theyre reminding me of choices from my past"]

Peach Scone (hobo johnson) - makes me think of early seasons ladynoir ;-; chat just being head over heels for ladybug, struggling with keeping his love platonic when he wants to be with her and know her. Also getting to kinda hear his side of ladybug saying shes already in love with someone, how he respects that but still is a bit of a flirt, and hides how much it hurts him. also i love hobo johnson. Talk to me (cavetown) - i am such a sucker for ladynoir comfort. the idea of them being there for each other at their lowest points, holding each other together. This whole song just makes me think so strongly of chat comforting ladybug when shes breaking down and needs someone. Could have been me (The struts) - GOD. THIS SONG. ITS SO LADYNOIR CODED TO ME. them hyping each other up!! keeping each other going!! being each others motivation to keep getting back up and fight!! i just love the idea of them constantly being there to pick each other up and remind them of what theyre fighting for. i could listen to this song forever i love it. Understood (leith ross) - i am a huuuuuge fan of leith ross so obv i love this song for ml. it just makes me think so much of a worn down, tired, sad chat just gushing and crying to ladybug about how he doesnt understand love, how his family dynamic impacts him, and just letting himself fall apart in her arms. and her relating! her feeling that same tiredness and guilt and ache about love and family and friends, how much invisible pressure is hanging over both their heads and only they understand it. (to be loved). i think it just perfectly fits how in love with lb chat is and how its clear she cant give that to him. I do adore (mindy gledhill) - marinette being head over heels for adrien and being her normal clumsy self. Falling over, rambling, making a huge fool of herself while adrien watches, completely oblivious to her crush. this song just really reminds me of how much marinette struggles with keeping herself calm around adrien, how shes always messing up words and doing the wrong thing, but he never freaks out at her and he never shames her for it. Just a friend to you (meghan trainor) - early seasons adrinette <3 adrien being so painfully oblivious while marinette is struggling with balancing being his friend and her overwhelming feelings for him. Silly girl (chloe moriondo) - listen to this song rn! its so perfectly adrinette! its crazy! how marinette romanticizes adrien and kind of puts him on a pedestal at the beginning which leads to her ignoring how he doesnt fit into that idea shes molded of him. Her having to deal with the pain of being in silent love with him while he seems so far away, and turning that back around to use against herself. i just think it explain really well how marinette saw him in this perfect, unattainable bubble before they got closer and she realized he was nothing like his public image of perfection [fav lyrics: "im just a silly girl in a stupid dumb old world and he is perfect cause hes supposed to be", "he is perfect, unlike me, and how could i ever think that it was meant to be? and how could i ever think that anything was made for me?", "I made him perfect, cause i wanted him to be"]

Small (chloe moriondo) - this was originally intended to relate more towards marinette, but listening to it now with season 5 in my head it just screams adrien! how suddenly he falls for her and he cant get her out of his head! how in just a blink of an eye he is getting flushed when talking to her, hes wanting to be near her and talk to her, he wants to be with her! but shes pulling back from him and hes sort of unable to balance these new feelings AND respecting her boundaries because shes just the only thing he thinks about. i love simp boyfriend adrien. she fell first but he fell harder and no one can convince me otherwise [fav lyrics: "but im not used to dealing with feeling like im waisting your time", "ive never cared so much about avoiding overstepping, and when i think about you i forget about my hands" "endlessly try to make you smile cause whenever i see it my knees always get so weak"]

The one that got away (acoustic version - katy perry) - I am a mess over this song. i always imagine it as a post-reveal scenario in which something happened and ladybug lost chat in the fight against hawkmoth and found out he was adrien right as he died saving her. how badly she misses him and cant stop thinking about how he was the love of her life! having to go on living the rest of her life without him! shes unable to move past it and just spends her time thinking of all the things shed do if she still had him. in another life, they could still be happy together [fav lyrics: "we'd keep all our promises, be us against the world", "talk about our future like we had a clue, never planned that one day id be losing you"]

"Do you wanna be friends?" (leanna firestone) - Marinette breaking her own heart by having such a close friendship with adrien while being in love with him and knowing she cant do anything about it. Her desperately trying to convince herself she can be okay with a life with him as a friend and nothing more when obv she cant bc ouchie! her heart! If i could tell her (dear evan hansen) - i feel like this is a classic marichat song. like its been a marichat song for a hot minute but its still so them. chat comforting marinette about feeling like adrien doesnt notice her! and listing off things adrien 'told him about' and slowly realizing he does actually pay attention to all those small intimate things marinette does! he feels such a strong need to make sure marinette understands how important she is to adrien, and realizing how deep the disconnect between them two is [fav lyrics: "If i could tell her how shes everything to me but we're a million worlds apart and i dont know how i would even start", "And what do you do when the distance is too wide?"]

Drive (halsey) - i love this song for the idea of marinette and chat suppressing their feeling for each other because theyre 'supposed' to be in love with adrien and lb. for me it kind of paints a mental image of hangouts and games and memories between mari and chat that slowly become these intense, almost upsetting silences and tension. Just them desperately ignoring how deep their feelings for each other truly go and insisting everything remain surface level [ fav lyrics: "All we do is think about the feelings that we hide, all we do is sit in silence waiting for a sign", "Your laugh echoes down the hallway, carves into my empty chest, spreads over the emptiness. its bliss", "Overanalyze again, would it really kill you if we kissed?",]

Comfort crowd (conan gray) - this song just really makes me think of chat being at a really low point and trying to hide it from marinette so he doesnt burden her with his emotions and baggage, and her just seeing right through it. Like hes smiling and trying to wave it off and she just knows hes not okay, and he just breaks. Ultimately it makes me think of chat turning to marinette for such deep and intimate comfort that purely comes from him being with her. just knowing hes safe to hold onto her and cry and shell be that company for him. I'd have to think about it (leith ross) - another leith song bc THEYRE SO GOOD GO LISTEN TO ALL THEIR MUSIC RN anyways some angst a lil :) a future where marinette/lb and adrien/chat somehow got torn apart after the reveal and lost contact for. a hot minute. and when they've found each other again its chat finally finding marinette, in a new home, with a new family, and a new life. but they both know who each other are and marinette having to cope with knowing she would drop everything to be with him again. anyways. brain food. Come around (peter mcpoland) - THIS SONG MAKES ME SO GIDDY FOR SOME REASON!! makes me think of like chat picking marinette up from her balcony and taking her on rides, showing her (what he thinks shes never seen) a brand new side of paris and getting to bask in the warmth and light she radiates with him. 'shes looking at the pretty lights, i cant stop looking at her eyes' type shit. just him being so so down bad for her. [fav lyrics: "Ive noticed you pull the blinds back when you hear that im driving round", "i dont mean to cause any trouble, well maybe a little if thats allowed"]

Animal (neon trees) - this song also makes me so !! the vibes are so playful and fun and flirty while the lyrics are more intense. just really reminds me of how surface level marinette and chat keep things, flirting and teasing and just enjoying each other, and then as soon as things get more serious it comes down to a life/death type feeling. but still longing for each other! they know it just hurts and they cant but they want to! they both love and hate the way their relationship feels suspended in the air, in that it gives it a rush of uncertainty and playfulness but it also brings serious fears and pain. i love this song a lot for them [fav lyrics: "I do it everytime, your killing me now and i wont be denied by you, the animal inside of you", "hush hush the world is quiet, hush hush we both cant fight it, its us that made this mess, why cant you understand?"

YOUTH (troye sivan) - ladybug and adrien running away together. fuck it. literally think about it. them just being in love and together and adrien finally getting out of that HOUSE and getting to be with his LADY and be happy. How deeply devoted to each other they would be, and although naive, they would be so sincere and literally ride or die for each other.

Therefore i am (billie eilish) - cold, angry akumanette FOR THE WIN OGH her just being such a silent but deadly akuma, her voice devoid of all the love and kindness it used to have when she was with adrien/chat, and him having to fight her while she shows no mercy. Ringing and dialing again leaves you with no answer. Giving up you head upstairs to your room, undoing your covers and plopping into the sheets.

Opening your photos you come across a couple of flyers you took of halloween parties to attend. While reading the information you jump at the sound of knocks on your window. Looking over to see taehyung being the one responsible. Walking over you lift up the latch to let him in.

“I’ve been calling you all night. why didn’t you pick up?” “my phone died, see” furrowing your eyebrows you dropped the topic. “Hey there’s a halloween party kook is hosting- its at that one abandoned asylum by 67th street, it’s tomorrow if you’re down to hit the place” “you read my mind. i was actually looking at some rn” smiling at your response he leans in latching onto your lips taking a bite of your lower lip. Gasping you bite back returning the favor only for it to come back as a pin to the bed. You look up to see taehyung staring into you with hungry eyes… “what” “i can’t look at my gf now?” “i never said that” rolling your eyes. Tae lifts himself off of you and onto his feet, walking over to the window and throwing his leg over the ledge. “I’ll see you tomorrow then.” he smirks. and with that he’s gone.

NEXT DAY - 10:34 PM

Scrolling on twitter you come across a few trending posts about the killings in your town. giving it a few thoughts now you’ve been having mixed feelings about going out tonight.. having the worst case scenarios play in your head… With a horn snapping you out your thoughts, that was your queue to pick up your backpack and run outside to meet jimin. “Sorry i was a little late but the later the better” you let out a laugh plopping into the passenger seat.

“He gets me so irritated sometimes” jimin lets out “he was only joking chim, but then again carebears are cute so” “exactly.” Making your way into the entrance you set your goal to find taehyung.

Instead of tae you come across the rest of the boys, coming up to them you make your usual greetings and ask if any of them have heard from taehyung. “He was gonna ride with me but he said he was going solo” joon shrugs. “He said he had to help his dad out with something, i’m pretty sure that’s why he stayed back” yoongi announces. Nodding you walk over to one of the medicine cabinets that was in the room to slip in your backpack. Turning around you see hobi taking a few shots of patron with some girls. Walking up beside him you take one in your hand and down it. Feeling the burning sensation rundown your throat helped you get the motivation for a few more.

With now all the boys coming around doing jell-o shots, jager bombs, melon balls, etc.. had you living. With the amount of alcohol in your system you were burning up wanting a bit of fresh air you start wandering around the abandoned building. Losing the flashing lights you walk upstairs to a room that looks like it could’ve been where they used to strap down the patients. A stretcher in the corner, scattered papers on the ground, blood stained tiles and a few broken windows.

Bringing your head out the window you feel the cool breeze hit your face, loving the way it brings down your body’s temperature. Looking down you see that the party reaches even outside. “Jungkook really knows how to throw down a party”

One step at a time things get easier; I think back often to when I was learning to drive, and I was scared I would never be able to. And then I was scared I would never be able to drive in a parking lot. And then I was scared of not being able to drive on the neighborhood street. And then the main street.. And then I was like that's it, I'm never gonna drive on the highway.... But it's like getting into a cold pool.... ya! its jst really hard to take the baby steps atm because my dad stresses me out in the cawr (discourages me from wanting to drive) but im trying to get to a point where i can at least drive from point a to point b and back alone rn...aroo. im hoping tomorrow doesnt go Really Bad and set me back another few months

Dani Rojas

To say Dani missed spending time with you is an understatement. There’s only so many tanks, helicopters and checkpoints she can destroy before she’s wishing to be back in your presence.

That’s why she doesn’t hesitate to call you, asking you to join her on collecting and returning the Triada relics to their place in Oluwa Cave.

The two of you spend an eerie night in Fort Oro, reading old lore and figuring out puzzles as you search for the relics. Of course, once mirrors start smashing Dani is quick to (heroically) grab your hand and squeeze it tight.

“Coño, just what the fuck is going on in this place— you’re not letting go of my hand, right?”

Dani definitely has her fair share of scares and spooks but when she grapples down the well, landing beside you with a soft ‘omft’ she knows she’s in good hands.

As long as you’re with her, its the best date she could ask for, especially when you reach out and kiss her cheek. It’s there she hopes the darkness of the cave hides her flush because she’s absolutely smitten with you in that moment. 

Clara Garcia 

Clara rarely gets a chance to get off her island, and if she does it’s almost always with a job to do. She’s absolutely beaming at the thought of not only getting to leave without responsibilities but she gets to spend the entire day with her favourite person.

Of course, that excitement drops when she finds you holding horses (graciously borrowed from the Montero Farm) and your knowing smile. 

The absolute city girl that she is, Clara finds she has no idea how to ride or control the horse at all— but that only means she hitches a ride with you, her hands wrapped tightly around your waist and her chin perched on your shoulder.

“Now where is my favourite guerrilla taking me? Please tell me its somewhere relaxing… if such a place exists in Yara.”

You can’t help but feel proud at how happy Clara looks upon seeing the small picnic station around Lucero Lighthouse. With a careful dismount, you lead her over to the soft rug where you both share a bottle of rum and delicious snacks that you totally had to bribe Juan to smuggle in for the two of you.

On your way back, with Clara now sitting in front of you on the horse, you clumsily try to teach her how to steer. It doesn’t work very well but the two of you are laughing as you walk around in wobbly circles. 

That’s why you’re totally unprepared for the way Clara turns in your arms, cradling your face gently as she plants a soft kiss to your lips as she whispers thank you for an amazing day.

Juan Cortez

For all that Juan loves in being a guerrilla, he has his days where he wants nothing more than to storm off from his workbench and forget about the stress of the revolution.

That’s why he jumped at the opportunity to spend a date with you, after you offered to help reset his stumped out creativity. Sneaking around Esperanza’s La Divinidad Cathedral searching for criptograma chests is just the sort of fun he needed.

The added exhilaration of sneaking past FND made it a thousand times more interesting as you zip lined over buildings and ducked through alley ways.

“I bet you a new supremo that I can find em before you— hey! No head starts that’s cheating cariño!!”

You affectionately lend him a hand for the more challenging grapples, not as agile as he once was in his glory days (and he tries to climb buildings with flip flops) but you let his ego flare up again by letting him collect the ‘Rum’ and ‘La Guitarra’ charts before you.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that as he climbs up a ledge you can’t surprise him by leaning down from you place on the roof to kiss him gently.

Camila ‘Espada’ Montero 

It’s a well known fact that Camila takes on too much responsibly at camp, constantly working on training new recruits and planning to drive José into the ground. And you figured it’s finally time for her well deserved break.

The only way you could convince her to drop everything and come with you is by making it appear slightly ‘productive’ — so what better way than a hunting trip right?

The two of you made it all the way up to Aguas Lindas, searching for any unsuspecting mongeese or cougars when you stumbled upon the den of the Demoníaco.

“What you do say, should we get ourselves some infamous coyote pelts? I think a new hat would suit you.”

The two of you worked together, throwing all your fire power at the agile creatures until you finally got your prize. All the hard work was worth it when the two of you made it back to camp with triumphant looks on your faces.

Everyone was celebrating and giving you pats on your backs but none of that crossed your mind as Camila wrapped her arms around you and brought you into a bone crushing hug. Both of you held each other, breathing each other in as you littered sweet kisses to her shoulder and neck. 

Carlos Montero 

Carlos has built the Montero reputation on hard work and determination— the man priding himself on not taking time off from what mattered most to him.

That’s why he’s absolutely shocked you asked him on a fishing trip, but deep down under the stone, stubborn looks he was excited to relax and spend the day with you.

He’s got zero patience, grumbling as he fumbles with lures and fishing lines before he can even get it into the water and don’t get him started with waiting for the fish to actually bite.

“Are these pendejos de pescado sleeping? Next time I’ll stick with cocodrilos— how the hell did you catch one so fast?”

Carlos can’t believe his eyes when she sees you pull in catch after catch, convinced you’ve got fish hidden in your pockets somewhere. And he totally isn’t at all flustered when you share some of your tricks.

Around midday, the sun is glaring on your back and straining your eyes as it reflects off the crystal blue water. The two of you called it a day for fishing and are simply dangling your legs in the water in the boat.

Carlos takes his hat off at the sight of your discomfort and places it on your head. It’s too big for you, slipping over your eyes and as you lift it slowly you’re met with a gentle kiss and his nose bumping against yours.

Mercedes ‘Jonrón’ Martin

Jonrón has two passions. One— making Admiral Benítez’ life a living hell and two— spending time with you. If she’s not actively exploding tanks and stealing supplies from the FND, then she’s in your company (preferably partying or cuddling)

Being the total history nerd that she is, she jumps at the chance to spend the day with you exploring Yara and finding little pieces of history.

The two of you search through La Joya, jumping from abandoned Mills to Mckay’s pipelines as you stumble across all sorts of journalist notes, offical documents, ghost stories and even saucy diary pages.

“Oh! Oh! You’ve got to read this one! Look its from Lobo— ‘Lucky Mamá slapped me hard today. Hard. Chipped one of my fucking teeth.’ Hah Classic!”

Just being around Jonrón means her energy transfers over to you. You can’t help but smile and laugh along to all the stories she tells you and the way she reads different letters with all the dramatic flare she can muster.

Her head is resting in your lap, eyes trained to the pages she’s collected and flicking through all of them. It’s perfect for you to pull the papers down, revealing her face as you bend down to kiss her with a fond smile.

this chart is by @prochara on twt i very much agree with its rating of pure main weapon power barring sub and special synergy. heres my comprehensive balancing ideas for everything. this list is noted to account for map design, which is why eliter is so high. my ideal is to make everything at about the "slightly weaker tier", so everything above will be generally slightly nerfed as i believe overky powerful weapons turn the gane very stalemated. this first of a series of posts will focus in nerfs. without further ado

fuckin beef cake supremes

squeezer: i would nerf squeezer by reducing the ink efficiency of its tap shots, reducing ever so slightly the max fire rate, and making a small range nerf, where it stlli out ranges everyrhing except jet squelcher but less so. i believe this to be the most undeniabley superior main weapon, where it has every good shooyer quality and then stats that are better than all of them with kill yime and range, i believe the balance is way ivercompensating for the awkward tap fire of its precision shots, and it should be tined back like this

eliter: i would just fix the godawful ekiter heaven maps rn, mire paths more flanks more cover, and give eliter a slap on the wrist, a bit more ink recovery lag (ie heavier weapons tend tot ake longer to begin their ink recovery reloading)

splatana wiper: the main thing is its absurd onject damage multipliers really put this weapons power over the top, and i validate brellas severely. i would reduce these multipliers by a decent amount, and also just slightly reduce its charge slash range because its nutty that it can outrange dualie squelchers when its so mobile it can function as an honest to god melee weapon. also id SLIGHTLY reduce strafe speed, but id make it so strafe speed can be affected by run speed gear. a pure wi get you back to its original run speed, and the falloff wi be harsh. runnung only run speed will make u barely faster so that. this is to introduce a skight bit more of gesr dependency for this extremely consistent weapon. also slight ink efficiency nerf

nutty bitches

splash o matic, .52 gal, splatter shot, n-zap: i actually like the power kevel of all these and dont want to take away the fun of them. this is a little wrist slaopy but will help keeo these mobile powerhouses from being too oppressive, namely give them small ink efficiency nerfs (higher ink cost per bullet) and make their damage fall off a little worse (so that its harder to take advantage of arc shots or high ground or just tryinf to extend your range like they did excessively to my beloved GLOOGA)

trislosher: tbh i think tri slosher is perfect how it is now, id give it a skight fall off damage nerf for slap on the wrist sake, but thats its specialty so the nerf would be even smaller than the one for the shooters

mini splatling: i feel similarly about mini splat to trislosh, maybe just a slight increase in ink recovery lag so it doesnt feel too oppressive against the nerfed shooters

splat charger: its only strong for similar reasons to eliter, bur it can get a slap on the wrist for ink recovery lag why not

tetra dualies: i love tetra dualies :( i think its at the power level i think wiper should be at, but id anything id say actually a fair bit percent worse falloff cos if GLOOGA has to suffer than then this high pressure menace should have to struggle a bit more to kill over ledges

dualie squelchers: honestly i think these were rated a bit too high, i wouldnt change anything, its jump tech is a little unfair but its cool and makes sense

splatana stamper: this bitch scares me but is so cool. id say jsut a bit of an ink efficiency nerf, its crazy longevitous for a heavy weapon. it shoukd run out faster and also have its object damsge multipliers reduced alittle bit. also skightly lower strafe speed but you can now boost it with run speed up, and it takes less run soeed up to surpass the original strafe speed, and is skightly more notable of a boost

additional notes

everything in the slightly weaker class is about what i think is a fun and fair power level, but i have a few fairly neutral changes id make for just a few

ink brush: no nerf, but like the solatanas, i feel its a big missed opportunity for fun to make it boostable in run speed. the max boost should be very slight so that people cant move way too fast too easily, but i think if you run oure run soeed on ink brush there should be some reward :)

splat dualies: it was always weird to me dualie squelchers is the only dualie to get the roll slide thing, it seems like such a strange way if maing its mobility superior. i get its supposed to be like a shooter dualie hybrid, but i think the othe rmire basical dualies should have a bit fia roll sldie too, so splat dualies will be one of the ones receiving this slight betterment to its mobility :)
