Alien:... I'm sorry, what?
Human: oh yeah, appareny it really did happen. That's how we developed our datings I think, by determining how long ago since Christ died.
Alien: YOU CRUCIFIED A GOD?!
Human: woah, not me personally! This happened centuries ago. He could not have picked a worse time to come.
Alien: YOUR SPECIES KILLED A GOD! HOW ARE YOU NOT ALARMED?!
Human: Oh! It's all good. He says all is forgiven as long as we're nice to each other, and we follow his rules.

wanna try my hand at one of those political comics but the only things i can think of are:
a dude in his sunday best with a 2x4 in his head loudly heckling a gnc person rubbing at their eye (calling back to the Bible verses/parable abt minding your damn business and working on your own issues before trying to call out others (matthew 7:3-5 and luke 6:41-42))
one of those. not quite wojaks but the mspaint dude who's angry about one thing but excited about something else. where he's saying some shit like "it shouldn't matter the race or gender of the actor if he or she can play the role" abt actors in blackface or classic shakespearean plays (where every actor had to be a dude, whether their roles were men or not) but throwing a tantrum about POC in leading roles or women in roles previously filled by men. the actress who played gabriel in constantine and the ancient one in doctor strange comes to mind. the 13th and 15th doctors too.
not really aiming to make fun of conservatives (though that is a side effect i don't particularly intend to dial back) but more trying to translate these ideas into the only vernacular they seem to know so i can try and shake some sense into them

I’m apparently being bullied on here for being Catholic and sticking up for it.
Can’t say I’m surprised cuz it happens in regular life to a lesser degree too. And this tumblr so I know how this place generally rolls XD
Well I’m forever grateful I returned to Catholicism when I did and I will never regret it!

Not original thoughts, but just reminded while writing: does making your characters still swear on God and Christ in an ABO fic imply that Jesus Christ had a designation and if so what do you think he was? Do you think Mary Magdalene was his mate? Does the father, son, and Holy Spirit correlate with alpha, beta, and omega? Do we really know that what made Mary special was her being a virgin? That immaculate conception could've been the first male omega, but the people didn't understand so we only know Mary as female? Was Joesph a beta? Did God knot Mary? Just some thoughts.

BEING MAGNETIC THROUGH SOFTNESS
BEING OPTIMISTIC, regardless of the circumstances. People love positivity and will gravitate to people who make them feel good regardless of their circumstances.
SMILE. Even if you’re just walking around, having a nice friendly smile appeals to people and deems you approachable.
HELP WHENEVER YOU CAN, hold the door for someone, or lift a small burden for them. However, if you’re helping someone and it is out of your capabilities, it’s people-pleasing.
BE PRESENT, don’t dwell on the past or worry about the future. Just focus on what you’re doing, and with who at that moment.
BE AN ACTIVE LISTENER, engage in conversations with people and genuinely take in the information they tell you + make an effort to remember these facts about them.
AVOID JUDGING AND GOSSIPING, no matter how nice you are, as soon as you display these traits, you create a distance between your friends/family. While honesty is valued, if people don’t feel like they can be their authentic selves around you, they’ll close themselves up.
GIVE COMPLIMENTS OFTEN. Only if you mean it. It doesn’t have to be someone who you’re close to, but even just passers-by.
BE VULNERABLE. People won’t open up to people who are closed up. Share your deepest fears, challenges and emotions to create a deeper connection and trust.
PRACTICE BEING HUMBLE, while it is okay to celebrate our successes, we must be mindful of the manner we do so. Acknowledge other’s efforts and be willing to learn from others.
REPLACE SORRY WITH THANK YOU. If you’re a serial say-sorry person, replace them with thank you. E.g. sorry I’m late -> thank you for patiently waiting.
BE OPEN-MINDED, surround yourself with a diverse environment, and be willing to learn from other’s perspectives.
TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY. Apologise when necessary and own up to your own mistakes, but be sure to not repeat them.

Friendly reminder that if you used to go to Church or a Christian school as a kid, but did not continue to study or grow your faith as you got older, than - no, you actually don't understand Christianity on the same level as a practicing adult believer.
I'm tired of hearing people dismiss the Christian faith and say 'well, I went to church as a kid, so I know what you believe'. That's the same as saying, 'my parents took my to the aquarium every week as a kid, so I know as much as your average marine biologist'.
If you're going to brag about how much knowledge you have about Christianity anyway, you should at least try not to say it on posts where you get things blatantly wrong about the Bible, the Church or- idk- the core message of the Gospel.

half-tempted to fake a book of the Bible. like i will straight-up end it with "oh by the way you just got pranked bro" i'm not here for legitimate actual blasphemery
i just also want to see how far i can get pretending to be a legitimate book to people who claim to be Biblically-led and yet aren't actually familiar with the text. like. if some dweebus on the internet can fake you out maybe you should go back and reread the parts you keep claiming support your views. maybe even check what other translations seem to say since translating between dissimilar languages from vastly different time periods really isn't as easy as going in and swapping hebrew and aramaic and greek words for identical english ones, so different translators might have emphasized different parts of the original text.

Yk those people who say "I like this band but I left cause the fandom was toxic"??
Catholic.
Christians.
Literally.
Like I vibe with J.C. Me and Jesus we like this🫂🫂yk? we UNDERSTAND what we both tryna say. We cool, I aint got beef with him, honestly I think he be speaking facts all day all night. But his fans?? They be lying ass, gatekeeping, toxic, crazy bitches. No offence to him eminence but they're feral, but not the good feral, more like the "Jesus did say that but I don't care, imma hate crime you. I'm still a good christian tho" feral.
