I wanna explore the five guys (lol) backstories more in-comic than anywhere else but for a brief rundown on why they’re Like That;

Haunted - CULT!!!

Fennec - abandoned egg that grew up on the streets. also Unfathomable Power

Mako - teen orphan turned revolutionary turned fugitive

Wolf - black sheep of the family (child of an affair)

they finally revealed the cards for the centurion archetype and it's magical girls and mechs

it already was the archetype I was the most hyped for in that pack just from the initial teaser alone but it blew the other 2 out the water easily

the designs for the characters and the mechs are great

and they even put in some famous poses which is extremely cool

There is still this myth Droite/Dextra is much taller than Kaito that I will debunk today, apperently in an official ref sheet I saw a long time ago, Droite is shorter than Kaito by 1 cm (so 166cm, short queeeen) she's basically average height I think? It was the heels all along 👠 (kind of wished her being taller than 🧅🪁 was true but I LOVE HER MORE SHE IS SHORT BECAUSE FINALLY I COULD RELATE SHORT SUPREMACY)

so does red kite have a problem with her wings? between the mention of doing wing exercises and her despairing rant, it makes me wonder if she has some problem that could potentially keep her from over flying

Red was born with an abnormally large wingspan, even for a skywing; she was encouraged to start flying early to build her flight muscles so she could actually use (and even just carry) her wings as she grew.

This wasn't an easy decision on both Merlin and Red's part: Merlin wouldn't be able to return to work as he would be busy training Red (he had quit his military career to raise her, aiming to enter a blue-collar field once she was in school); Red was deeply unnerved by all the social factors that came with flying early, including going to class with dreaded teenagers; Red hadn't hit dragon puberty yet and thus lacked the all-important flight instinct; and also flight ain't easy, and always comes with risks, especially at such a young age.

However, Red was nothing if not determined and Merlin was nothing if not devoted to his daughter; they would make it work.
