You're clearly a great fan of Murcielago's villain protagonists, but what are your opinions on the antagonists?

well you can't send me an ask like this an expect me not to rate each of them individually, but i assume you knew this. crafty, glasses! I'm gonna rate the primaries here but I'll rate the secondaries next. Only up to Silver Scent.

Arc 0: Unnamed Serial Killer

Cringe loser, no swag, no style, unmemorable, no standards. Died in an accident. 0/5.

Arc 1: Tasuku Iimura

Just kind of a big brute, somewhat sad backstory but doesn't really bring anything to the table. This arc isn't really about him though. 1/5.

Arc 2: Hyoue Satori

Total patsy. Basically irrelevant as his only real contribution was bankrolling a cooler, sexier villain. 1/5.

Arc 3: Takeru Asagi

We're starting to get somewhere. He's still fairly meh, but his MO and backstory are way more interesting than the previous villains and his genuine care for his daughter gives him a bit of heart. OFC, he pales in comparison to how amazing a character said daughter is, but I'll give him a point for trying. 2/5.

Arc 4: Gold Marie

LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOO!!!!!! I LOVE GOLD MARIE. Absolutely horrible and irredeemable monster, twisted in fun and unique ways, tragic backstory, gay, disgusting, and, well. Y'know. She's got. uh. well. Anyway, one of the best in the series, no question. 5/5.

Arc 5: The Rainy Day Killer

Hands down the most terrifying villain in the entire series and it's not even close. I get the creeps just looking at him. It takes a lot to be a monster in a world as monstrous as Murcielago's, but boy oh boy does he do it. Great backstory, too. Gonna give him a 4/5 just because of how SCARY he is.

Arc 6: Marie Misaka

Meh. This arc is more about Kuroko herself being the villain rather than this chick, so she barely gets any screentime and doesn't have much to offer. 2/5 cuz there's some implied gay shit at least.

Arc 7: Toukichirou Higaki

Mostly a vehicle for more interesting side characters. His fighting style is cool, but his ultimate goal of dying in battle doesn't have any real weight to it. Pretty forgettable. 2/5.

Arc 8: Shin Tatewaki

Boring villain from a boring arc. 1/5 cuz i think his scar looks cool.

Arc 9: Cobalt Conrad

A very solid mad scientist archetype. I think his relatively friendly and calm demeanor persisting throughout both arcs he's in is great and I like that he came back as a villain in the first place. His ultimately plan is pretty simple and I feel like more could be done with him, but given that we haven't seen the last of him I think there's a chance we'll get new stuff from him too. 4/5.

Arc 10: Kurono

YEAH BABY YEAH BABY LET'S GO!!!!!!!!! I LOVE KURONO!!!! Cool split personality ghost with probably the best fight in the entire series (due to the fact that Kuroko is hilarious throughout it) and sympathetic motivation make her extremely memorable. A lot of people rank Master Swordsman as their favorite arc, and while it's not my personal pick, scenes with Kurono make me understand exactly why so many people love it. 5/5.

Arc 11: Rose Marie

Best boy with one of the best arcs. I looooove TTDUP and how fucked up it is, and this weird conjoined cannibal queen is what makes it work. The second most unsettling villain after the rainy day killer as well. Easy 6/5, I would love if we got more villains like him in the future.

Arc 12: Comedy Writer

Easily the least threatening major villain and thus one of the least interesting. This is another arc where Kuroko eclipses the actual antagonist by a significant margin, so his only real noteworthy moment is when Kuroko kills the shit out of him. 1/5.

Arc 13: Hazuki Sendou

Gross. Loser. Doesn't deserve Zenpachi. Keep that in your pants, loser. 1/5.

Arc 14: Yuusuke Arima

A deeply tragic and sympathetic villain, and one who we get to know as a person far more than most other villains. Serial killer or not, I just felt really fucking bad for this guy. Not huge on his sudden double evil turn at the very end so I've gotta dock him a point for that, but I'm overall a fan. 3/5.

Arc 15: Mineko and Ayako

Honestly it was tough for me to decide which one of these two was the "main" villain so I ultimately decided to just go with both of them because hey, it's my list. My verdict is that they did literally nothing wrong and should not be held accountable for any crimes whatsoever. 5/5.

Now it's Persona-l: Escapism and Freedom in Tokyo Mirage Sessions and Persona 5

On the surface, Tokyo Mirage Sessions seems about as Diet Persona™ as a game can get. With a cast of colourful teens out to save the world using their Stands Persona Performa, some critique of our society, and the same amount of clueless running around Shibuya, it would be easy to write the game off as a quick cash-grab by their respective studios. But when giving TMS another look, you might be surprised at the depth that lurks beneath the pastel-coloured waters. Today we’ll be taking a deep dive into two specific themes that persist across both games.

For those who somehow missed an originally Wii-U exclusive JRPG which didn’t include the Fire Emblem or Shin Megami Tensei tags in its title, Tokyo Mirage Sessions: FE is a collaboration between Atlas and Intelligent Systems to bring a little Fire Emblem flavour to the familiar Zio-spamming recipe of the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series. The game follows Itsuki Aoi, a nineteen-year-old with dark blue hair who has therefore been recognised by the universe itself as the main character. He discovers his ability to summon a Performa— a Fire Emblem character turned to a Persona – and joins up with other Performa users to battle mirages (i.e Shadows), pursuing their dreams and growing stronger as they do. It’s a setup that requires no further introduction if you’ve ever picked up an Atlas game before. They have a rightful confidence in this formula that allows them to focus on refinement and improved storytelling, the benefits of which absolutely shine in Persona 5.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions predates its more successful cousin by two years, but I argue we see the same brilliant attention to detail, themes and realism across both, and nowhere is this more apparent than in how both games handle freedom and escapism. For those still working through these eighty-hour behemoths, not to worry! There are spoilers for the first few story dungeons and other aspects, but not the endings of the games.

The two player teams present an interesting dichotomy, partly because of how similar they seem on the surface. Take their publicity situation. Posters of the Phantom Thieves’ logo plaster every building in P5, and Shibuya 106 is always displaying posters of Kiria or Tsubasa’s newest production— a very nice touch for TMS’s story, considering how much focus is placed on the nitty-gritty, mechanical aspects of building a career in performing. But there is one key distinction. While neither group is recognised for their heroic work in the Metaverse or Idolasphere respectively, the names Kiria Kurono, Tsubasa Oribe and Mamori Minamoto have gathered everything from a cult following to a full-blown fan frenzy. This has fascinating ripples throughout the rest of the story that feel fully considered by the writers.

Within the P5 cast up to Okumura’s Palace, many members join the Phantom Thieves because they feel backed into a corner. In Joker’s case, the corner is very literal. For Ann and Makoto, they could, in a purely technical sense, do the bidding of the villain and escape physically unharmed, but nobody in their right mind would suggest submitting to Kamoshida or Kaneshiro is a good idea. Imagery of imprisonment is everywhere, through promotional art and cutscenes and every line of dialogue. But this imprisonment is rarely a physical thing. Even in the literal jail of the Velvet Room replaces one wall with a huge portal back to the real world, albeit obscured by the camera angle. Restrictions on the Phantom Thieves are often nebulous or even self-imposed, and I find it fascinating that their problems rarely evaporate after they awaken their Persona and gain a new outlook. While the pressures of society are given a face for each Thief, the writers never make the mistake of treating it as if these singular persons are the only issue— instead, they represent a wider imprisonment.

Conversely, the Mirage Masters don’t seem to face these same issues. Not to say they have no conflict, but there is a sense of freedom that permeates every aspect of the game. It’s an interesting approach; their lives aren’t ruined or ended by failure, but their dreams will crumble before them if they can’t push on in their professional journey, and the world will be worse off for the loss of talented creators to the mirages. The Idolasphere may not feel of much import. Obviously there are consequences to leaving it unchecked, otherwise there would be no driving plot force to have the characters enter at all. But the Idolasphere and its adventures seem to be an inconvenience to most of the TMS cast. They aren’t actively seeking out new Idolasphere locations, excitedly searching for new equipment and attempting to train their Performa in their off time, the way the Phantom Thieves do. These are driven young professionals, yes, perhaps with the exception of main character Itsuki Aoi. But not driven by anything the Idolasphere offers- they already have their career aspirations, and it isn’t to fight shadows mirages for the rest of their lives.

This is even reflected in gameplay. Where leaving the palace in Persona 5 ends your day and has you missing out on a limited timeslot, TMS allows the player to jump in and out of any Idolasphere location, at any time. You could say that this is because TMS lacks the limited time frame mechanic that appeared in all three modern Persona games, but I would say the lack of that day-by-day mechanic is, itself, another way to show the freedom the TMS cast enjoy.

For the Phantom Thieves, the metaverse is their escape. Even in official art, you can see the grins as they jump into action:

Regular life, for the Thieves, is a tedious Sisyphean battle, where they feel like they have little power and little control. The power of a Persona is one thing that elevates them, makes them special, in their minds, anyway. Right from the flash-forward at the start of the game, it’s clear that the world is hostile to them. While Joker bounces around with a grin on his face and heaps of style, crowds react to him with fear, scorn, and derision. This in spite of the fact he has seemingly done little more than nab a prize and disappear, in true phantom thief style. And when Joker is caught by the police, the prospect of the truth being discovered becomes more and more unsettling, the closer the Phantom Thieves grow to each other. Beside the criminal charges: Ryuji is separated from his single mother, Ann loses her career and support network, Morgana loses the only people who understand him, Makoto loses her best chance at individuality and self-expression. The world is out to get the Phantom Thieves, and if that happens, they lose everything. They won’t die, presumably, but their lives are likely to become hollow and empty. This again emphasises the idea of their imprisonment being a less tangible thing, hard to fight and much harder to escape from.

I could probably go on for another few pages but we’ll draw things to a close for now. Escapism has always been a less talked-about motif in Atlas games, rarely the ‘point’ of any one story, but it’s often there, an interesting compliment to the main theme. Persona 3 delves into mortality, and I believe escapism is a fascinating part of that, as a way to distract from it and try to live a happy life in spite of the inevitable end. Persona 4 focuses on finding the truth, despite a society that tries to force conformity, and they discover comfort and freedom by finding people who let them be their true selves. Persona 5 was merely the first game to push these themes into the spotlight. But let’s not forget the lesser-loved Atlas games, either! And hey, maybe if you see Tokyo Mirage Sessions on sale? Give it a go. I promise it’s pretty good.

Ok you’ve mentioned before that you think everyone in the Hassaikai is autistic (except for Rappa who’s ADHD, rip Tengai) so do you have headcannons on special interests, stims and such for everyone? If so can we hear the ones you have?

A lot of the 8pods are actually AuDHD, so let's sort them out:

Autism only: Chisaki, Tengai, Tabe, Hojo, Nemoto, Katsukame, Irinaka

ADHD only: Rappa (rip)

Both: Kurono, Setsuno, Sakaki

You mentioned comfort items in a different ask, but I have very few headcanons for that--most of what I have are headcanons for special interests, so that's most of what you'll get lol.

Chisaki Kai: Special interest is definitely anatomy/biochemistry, and it's lasted basically since he had the means to start learning about it. So--years. As for stims--he likes having something to chew. This oftentimes conflicts with the mysophobia--he can't just put something in his mouth, but once he's chewing on something he doesn't exactly want to stop. He also likes running his fingers through the fur of his coat. Sometimes he carries Irinaka around in plushie form because he needs something soft to carry and he knows that since it's Uncle Joi nobody can say a damn thing about it. Lots of tactile stims for Kai, although he may also use music as a stim sometimes, just put in some earbuds and listen to a specific song on repeat for hours. He does not do well when overstimulated, too, and hates overhead lights.

Kurono Hari: Special interest would be mechanical stuff and engineering--the lab that's featured in canon? He fucking built most of it while in the grip of a series of the unholy offspring of special interest and hyperfixation. He likes to play with gears and springs and pieces of metal that Kai often Overhauls into specific shapes for him (like joints and things). He also often has Kai weld together pieces of metal using Overhaul. He has a lot of motion stims, probably tends to get up and move around a lot, especially when he needs to think. He didn't do so well in school for this exact reason. Like Kai, he also likes to carry Uncle Joi around in plushie form.

Irinaka Joi: I don't have any specific stims in mind for him, but I do think he likes being in plushie mode in part because of species dysphoria but also because lights/sounds/All The Stimulation is blunted and lessened somewhat, and because plushie mode doesn't feel pain unless you handle it really roughly. (That's part of why he lets his nephews carry him around, because he's hard to hurt in that form and because they often really need it.) It's easy to imagine that he gets overstimulated really easily, or that he's photosensitive when in human form.

Nemoto Shin: Special interest is definitely psychology and sociology--he's very interested in learning how humans think and behave, in part because he needed to know stuff like that to survive as a teenager/young adult bouncing between gangs and living off of the money he got from conning people. That knowledge of psychology is really helpful as the leader of the Precepts as well. He also suppressed a lot of his stims during this time, and is still rediscovering them.

Sakaki Deidoro: I like to think that his special interest is linguistics. He knows several languages and often talks with Nemoto about the intersection of language and psychology. Possibly he stims with the fur on his vest the same way Kai stims with the fur on his jacket. He also likes the feeling of someone playing with his hair, but obviously only a select few are allowed to.

Setsuno Touya: His special interest is history. He can talk about various periods that he's studied for hours, and often goes looking for primary sources to confirm what secondary ones are saying. Recently he's been looking into the history of the yakuza. Like Kurono, he has trouble paying attention/absorbing information that he's not super interested in when he's sitting still, so he tends to fidget a lot and has developed some motion stims.

Hojo Yu: I said geology once for his special interest and I'm sticking with it.

Tabe: I don't have any specific special interest for him. I think he likes chewing on things too, when the hunger from his Quirk is more manageable. (Kai actually created some nontoxic very slowly dissolving pill-like-things that can last for a few hours in Tabe's gut to alleviate that hunger.)

Katsukame Rikiya: I'm stealing your headcanons for this guy--dogs, gorillas, and foxes.

Rappa Kendo: I decided that he liked bugs as a kid so now he likes bugs now. Chisaki has yelled at him several times for bringing them inside the compound.

i can’t really say if kurono would win any given fight considering gantz is about fighting aliens that kill you really hard. and kurono died i think twice from beginning to end which is honestly not bad considering how long the series is. maybe he could….. he does get kind of good at it by the end.

How is Kurumu Kurono/Mizore Shirayuki (Rosario + Vampire) maligned?

"Rosario + Vampire doesn't have that big of a fandom so the ship isn't that popular...I'm their biggest fan (real). They're from a Harem series so they're SUPPOSED to be in love with the main character but they have way more chemistry with each other and would become canon if the author wasn't a coward. They share a canon kiss and fight together so there's lots of content of them in the manga...There's more fanart for Kurumu x Tsukune than Kurumu x Mizore which I think is a crime actually (/LH). I think they deserve more love I really love them a lot."

How is Kaede Shiranui/Shinobu (Ninja Nonsense) maligned?

"There is barely.... Any content for the series as a whole let alone of Shinobu and Kaede.... They're literally so in love. Shinobu is always besides Kaede's side and Kaede is always reassuring Shinobu. They also embrace a lot, always physically touching each other in some way. I haven't finished the anime myself...but like. I ship them so much already."

Yes I am a minor myself, but I absolutely refuse to write smut about minors. I don't care about age-ups. It would probably depend on who it is whether I write it or not.

Also, I have a few personal guidelines/self-imposed rules I tend to follow when writing oneshots.

I personally dislike when a "oneshot" is spanned across multiple parts or has multiple parts even after the conclusion. It's not exactly a oneshot at that point, as least by my personal view. So I don't usually write multiple parts; personal or requested works. On the rare occasion I might write a part 2, but I will NEVER write a part 3.

I also try to stick to a certain word count.

Personal works; stuff I come up with to write: I don't really limit myself with these. It's a personal work that I decided to post, I'd rather not limit myself on anything I'm writing for myself.

Strong hands gripped at her waist, squeezing them tight as the man whom they belonged to dragged her closer to him. His lips crashed against hers once again, pulling out a quiet gasp from her lips. His fingertips rubbed circles along the bare skin poking out from the hemline of her shirt. His touch ignited chills along her skin and a severe heat in the pit of her stomach.

She pressed herself closer to the man, her own fingers sliding into the hood acting as a forehead protector covering his head. She hooked her fingertips into the material and let it fall down onto the floor behind him.

“Careful with that, Red,” he mumbled against her lips as he squeezed her hips.

“Try not to step on it then, Kitty,” she retorted, breaking from the kiss to trail her lips away from his and down to his neck.

His gruff chuckle filled the room. “Must you call me that when you’re doing that?”

She hummed against his skin, lightly nipping at the spot between his neck and shoulder. “And here I thought you liked your nickname, Kankurō.”

Skilled fingers captured her chin and tugged lightly, making her look back up to him. Dark, amused eyes bore down at her. A smirk played at his lips, stretching the purple war paint across his face. The paint across his lips was smudged and patchy, streaking further down his chin and cheekbones. His brown locks were mussed from the way she tugged off the hood haphazardly.

The knowledge that she had left the man looking like that only made her want to dive back in and see just how messy she could make the Kazekage’s advisor look.

“It’s not quite the title I like to hear falling from your lips. Not when we’re like this,” he admitted, his thumb running along her bottom lip. He hummed in contemplation softly. “We match.” He lifted his thumb up for her to see the purple paint staining his skin.

Her lips twitched into a pleased grin. She opened her mouth, prepared to tell him just where she’d like to see his paint covering her body when the soft, yet steady, voice of the male sitting in the corner of the room reached their ears.

“It’s a pretty color on you, my love.”

Heat spread across her cheeks. She had almost forgotten about him—though she wasn’t sure how. The puppet master’s fingers let go of her chin and fell back to her waist, lightly stroking the skin once again. She rested her hands on Kankurō’s shoulders and propped herself up on her tiptoes to look at the other man sitting behind them. His sharingan shone in the dark, taking in every movement the two made.

She frowned at the sight. “Don’t waste it on that.” She hated when he used the dōjutsu. But there he was, using what precious energy he had to memorize the way she looked tangled up with another man. As if he hadn’t woken up that morning coughing up blood. As if her enhanced hearing didn’t pick up on every labored breath he took.

Itachi hauled himself up from the chair and stalked around Kankurō to cup her cheek into the palm of his hand. His skin was cold, but it soothed the heat that had graced her cheeks. His red eyes flicked over her face slowly, as if the slow motion would further engrain the sight of her in his memory. He took in the blush on her skin, the dilation of her pupils, and the purple paint marring her swollen lips.

“It’s not a waste, Kurono.”

She swallowed thickly, pushing down the bubble of emotion threatening to burst out of her at the sincerity of his tone. He leaned down towards her, lightly pressing his lips to hers. His kiss was not filled with the passion and hunger that Kankurō’s was—his was careful, guiding her slowly into his own rhythm. Kankurō walked around her, not once losing his grip on her. His right hand slid down to her front, resting on her lower stomach. His fingertips rested just above the waistband of her shorts and he drummed them along the area absentmindedly. His other hand moved up along her spine and collected her red locks, brushing them over her shoulder and out of his way. His lips found their way down the back of her neck, as much as the high-collared shirt would allow. As Itachi stroked her cheeks with his fingers and coaxed her mouth open with his lips, Kankurō’s hands ran against her body to cup her clothed breast and slid underneath her waistband.

Each man touched her so differently from the other, igniting her senses as her mind and body tried to keep up with the vastly different sensations. Kurono arched into Kankurō’s touch as she tried to return Itachi’s kiss. And then the Uchiha’s hands slid down from her face and down her abdomen, catching the hemline of her shirt within his grip. She broke away from his kiss, taking deep breaths as she tried to wrap her mind around her circumstances.

Itachi’s steadying gaze met hers, a soft smile on his face. The sharingan slowly deactivated and she was met with his naturally dark eyes once again. His perfectly shaped eyebrows raised just slightly at her, looking for the permission he needed to continue.

“You didn’t need to ask,” she breathed out. She took a steadying breath before whispering, “of course, ‘Tachi.”

Kankurō’s thumb flicked over her nipple through her clothes. The bud hardened under his touch, and she arched even further into him. His thumb and forefinger felt around her breast slowly, and as he hummed quietly in her ear, they pinched around her nipple.

Happy Birthday, Kankurō

Summary: Just when everyone in his life, including Kankurō himself, forgot about his birthday, he gets a surprise visitor who is intent on making the most of his special day.

By the time that I found out about @sandsibweek I didn’t have enough time to write for all of the days, but I did everything that I could to write for my love's birthday. So here's my entry for Day 7: Birthday/Celebration.

Warnings: mild language, slightly pervy Kankurō, lots of fluff that I didn't intend when I started writing this, terrible father Rasa

After months spent in meetings with the village elders as they argued over who should be the next Kazekage, when it was so damn obvious to anyone with a brain, left Kankurō wanting to shut himself in his workshop alone for the rest of the night. He swore that if he had to hear one more person question Gaara’s validity to take the role one more time, he was going to lose his mind. As if they weren’t the ones who had decided to place Shukaku into his little brother. As if they weren’t the ones who allowed his father to alienate him from the rest of them. As if they hadn’t treated him like a monster. As if he hadn’t—

Kankurō shook his head, forcing the thought away before it could take root. But he couldn’t deny his own role in Gaara’s isolation and ostracization. He was just as guilty as the elders—if not more so, considering he was his little brother. He could’ve told his father to shove it and stuck close to his brother. He could’ve helped him. If Naruto Uzumaki, a complete stranger from a village that they were trying to invade, could’ve gotten through to Gaara, then he could’ve done so a long time ago. But he didn’t, and now he was left trying to make up for over a decade of keeping his brother at arm’s length so that he wouldn’t end up dead by his hand.

Which was probably why he had found himself becoming one of his biggest supporters when he decided that he wanted to fill the hole that their father’s death had left. Better Gaara than him. Better the one who hadn’t abandoned his sibling when he needed it the most. How was he supposed to run a damned village when he couldn’t even stand up to his father? No, Gaara would be the best fit. And it’s what he wanted. Kankurō wasn’t sure if he’d be able to keep his mouth shut during Kage summits anyways. He was better off in the intelligence division anyways. Let him be the grunt that protected his village and his Kazekage—let him protect his brother in the way he hadn’t when they were children.

He ran a finger along the top of his workbench, mentally going over the different parts that he would need to fix Crow. He had gotten distracted during his last mission, sloppy even. One of his arms was bent at an odd angle and wouldn’t respond as normal to his chakra.

His gaze fell onto the origami Kankurō sitting on the corner of his workbench. The pieces of papers had been folded with care, each detail of his own face staring back at him so clearly. Even if his own hair had been replaced with what appeared to be tentacles, spiraling out from his scalp. A small smile appeared on his face as he recounted the events leading to the Amegakure villager handing her art to him.

“It seems odd that you’ve already met the woman who raised me and I don’t even know what you look like under that hood and war paint.” The redhead said, her hip popping out to the side as her lips formed into a delicate pout.

He had just met the blue-haired woman, likely only over a decade older than the girl she had raised, even though they had just met only days before. The woman, whom she had introduced as Konan, stood with the girl’s teammates, peering over the railing as they watched some creep from Konoha with bugs crawling out of his skin battle one of Orochimaru’s pawns.

“Eh?” Kankurō blinked, looking down at her. “Why do you care what is under the hood?” Sure, women had tried teasing the hood off of his head before, but when he challenged them on it, they would normally begin musing about how they believed he’d look like his father. And the thought delighted them. They wanted him to look like their Kazekage—to look like the man they thought was honorable and good. He never gave them the satisfaction of knowing that their musings were right—except for their impression of who his father was.

“I don’t know,” she responded after a moment with a shrug. “Is it scary? Is it even hair?”

“Of course, it’s hair!” he frowned, pushing off the wall so that his body faced hers. That was a first. “What the hell else would it be?”

“Tentacles” Kurono decided with a firm nod. “Or spikes, maybe even a fin?”

“Tentacles?” Kankurō barked out a laugh. “You actually believe that instead of hair, I have tentacles growing from my head?”

“Anything could happen, Kitty.”

“What would that even look like?” he mused. Either this girl had seen some messed-up shit in her time, or she had an incredible imagination.

She grinned and stuck her hand out. Her brows knit together in concentration and slips of paper shot out of the pouch on the outside of her thigh, flying into her hand and folding in on themselves until all that was left was a paper rendition of Kankurō’s head. The only difference in her muse and her creation was that his hood was gone and where hair should be, tentacles shot out in every direction. She smiled at it, clearly pleased with herself, before handing it to him.

“This is the weirdest gift anyone has ever given me,” he admitted, staring down at it. Despite his words, he grinned down at the sheets of paper and his eyes shone down at his likeness. The rendering was exact to the smallest detail, even the slight indentions that represented his face paint were perfectly placed. It was the weirdest, yet most thoughtful gift he had ever been given.

Kankurō tilted his head to the side as he stared at it. He remembered putting the paper sculpture on his nightstand just a month before, and he hadn’t touched it since. He had looked at the rendering almost every day for the last ten months, and he knew that the original was made out of white paper, not this gray shade staring back at him. His head snapped up, dark eyes flickering around his bedroom when he saw movement and a splash of red from the corner of his eye.

He flexed his fingers, conjuring his chakra strings and letting them spill out across the room. “Just one question,” he started, turning slowly as he looked towards his bed, his strings snaking around the furniture and circling around a thin wrist, “what the hell are you doing in Suna?” He curled his finger, yanking the chakra string back towards him.

The string grew taut with the effort and a tanned arm came shooting out from behind the bed. A familiar yelp sounded out from the area before the owner of the voice jumped up from her hiding spot. Her strands of red hair splayed out around her with the motion. She rubbed the back of her neck, her eyes tightly shut as her lips were split into an apologetic smile.

“I asked you a question, you know.”

Her hand froze and her eyes slowly opened. Sparkling amber eyes slowly flicked over his body, taking in whatever differences she could see had transpired in his appearance since the chunin exams. He took the moment of her appraisal to look her over himself.

Not that she had changed too much. Same height, even though he had grown by five centimeters. Her forehead must have only reached his chest now. Her arm came back down to her side, her hand fitting onto the dip of her hip. Her middle finger rested lightly on her bare stomach, just to the side of her belly button. Her outfit had changed since the chunin exams, the black dress that had only covered the right side of her body was gone and replaced by a sleeveless, mesh turtle neck, covered by a gray vest that could hardly be considered an actual covering. White wrappings decorated her right thigh, right underneath the pouch she kept her slips of paper in. She wore the same shinobi-standard shoes, yet they were thigh high and had an inch of fishnets peeking out above them. Her hitai-ate was affixed around her bicep. Her sword was nowhere in sight, but he was sure she likely had stored it in a scroll—that weapon had been a deadly extension of her arm during the chunin exams and there was no way she had stopped using it.

She straightened up under his scrutiny, the movement making her chest stick out even more than they did when she was relaxed. His gaze stayed on the area, marking the way they heaved with her sigh.

My Naruto OC

@justmyownreality you said that you wanted "All of it" and "all of it" was too big to fit in your inbox.

Seriously, you may regret this. I started watching Naruto when I was 7...I created Kurono when I was 10. She's the most fleshed out character I've ever created in my life, and I also write novels. When I first created her, she was going to end up with Kiba and then I fell in love with Itachi and she was with him. But then I started to actually appreciate Kankuro and she...developed into something else, which is putting it mildly. This is long and I warned you that it was going to be a lot.

I used the same character creator you used from piccrew for her!

Warning: Kurono is a little messed up. I live for angst. She's been through a lot and has been a bit violent.

So Kurono is Nagato's little sister. She was a baby when their parents died so she doesn't remember them or their deaths. She ended up being raised by Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan, which considering the fact that they all needed a real adult and therapy means that she was bound to have some issues. Between the teens being busy with the Akatsuki and the villagers, she ended up becoming jealous and impatient with them. She convinced Konan to take her with her to help the orphans of Amegakure and she met her future genin team (my other OCs Daiki and Mamorou, who happen to be twins, but their bios are for a different day). When Yahiko died and Nagato merged with the Gedo Statue, Kurono was a bit of a mess and convinced Konan to let the twins move in with them.

When the Akatsuki grew and became the group that we all know and love, Pain had the various members train her. Kakuzu downright said "no" until she snuck in and organized the mission requests they got and he decided to take her on as his silent assistant (one he wouldn't pay). She was incompetent when it came to puppet mastery (her own team ended up smacked around a few times), though Sasori was able to teach her medical ninjutsu and she's freakishly strong because of it. Kisame taught her how to use a sword and was the one who gave her her weapon. Konan taught her how to use her paper ninjutsu and it's her jutsu of choice. She's terrible with genjutsu and is very susceptible to it. She summons a wolf named Reiko. Orochimaru experimented on her quite a lot and with the help of Sasori, some of Shukaku was implanted into her. When she falls asleep, the pseudo-jinchuriki side of her takes over and she blacks out entirely and performance extreme acts of violence, which comes to head during her time at the Academy when she ends up killing her entire class, except for the twins. This happened on the day that Itachi joined the Akatsuki, and she became attached to him very quickly. Pain and Konan hid Kurono's role in the deaths of the citizens, but Amegakure doesn't quite trust her (which is fair).

When the chunin exams come, Pain sends Kurono and the twins to the exams to get an update on how Naruto is progressing, not even knowing that Gaara is Shukaku's host. She meets Kankuro there and they immediately start flirting with each other. She ends up musing what he looks like under the paint and hood and calls him "Kitty" because of the cat ears on the hood (he calls her "Red" because of her hair). She jokingly asks if he has tentacles underneath the hood and makes him an origami version of what she thinks he would look like with said tentacles, which he ends up keeping.

After the chunin exams, she ends up becoming a full-fledged member of the Akatsuki, but keeps that side of her life hidden from Kankuro, whom she continues to see over the years as she gathers intel on Gaara. In a long, very hard to explain and extremely detailed, series of events, Orochimaru's experimenting on her and my best friend's OC results in her developing a rinnegan. When the Akatsuki kills Gaara, she tries to stop the extraction of Shukaku, but isn't successful. Actually seeing Gaara die makes her rethink her involvement with the Akatsuki and she starts leaking information about the organization anonymously to Kankuro.

But when the twins die, she goes a bit mad with grief and (without giving you way too much more information than I already have) goes to Konoha to retrieve Daiki's body, effectively giving up her identity as a member of the Akatsuki. She stops sending Kankuro information and the only thing that gets her out of her grief and anger is Itachi. She starts leaking information to Suna once again, but during that time she falls in love with Itachi. She admits to him that she had been delaying the Akatsuki and leaking intel to Suna, and after awhile of getting to know her better and her walking in on him coughing up blood, he tells her everything and shortly after they start a relationship. And the big plan was for her to leave and get far away from the Shinobi world before he died and get completely away from the influence of the Akatsuki.

Unfortunately, they may be intelligent people, but they were useless virgins when they got together and she ends up getting pregnant not too long into their relationship. The pregnancy makes them want to speed up the process of her getting away from the Akatsuki, but without the time they needed to get her away, she decides to go to Suna and seeks asylum with them. After being interrogating for a hell of a long time by Kankuro and his intelligence team, they decide to keep her under close eye. Which leads to Kurono moving in with Kankuro (oh my god. They were roommates). At first, he's still dealing with how betrayed he felt by her being Akatsuki, but after hearing her whole story and seeing her genuinely try to help them, she sneaks her way into his heart again. Kankuro holds her hand while she gives birth, which is precious when you consider how much he doesn't actually like kids too much. But oh, he loves Kurono's daughter Mitsu. She also calls him "Kitty," like her mother does, and he's basically wrapped around her little finger. She looks a lot like Itachi, except her eyes which are Kurono's original amber-colored eyes.

It's a bit of slow-burn for Kurono and Kankuro, since she grieves Itachi's death and doesn't know how to process her feelings for Kankuro. In the middle of the war, Kankuro tells her that he has feelings for her and kisses her because he doesn't want to die regretting that he never told her. And she malfunctions a bit over it but she isn't able to fully process it.

After the war it's even more of a slow burn and takes a few years before she really realizes that she's in love with him and when she goes to tell him, he's going on a date with someone else. So she fakes a date with some random guy so he doesn't question why she's dressed up and gets drunk at a bar (Gaara agreed to watch Mitsu so Kurono could confess how she felt for his brother, which would be a great time to be a fly on the wall to watch that night of babysitting), not knowing that Kankuro was taking his date there after dinner. And he gets really pissed, thinking she was stood up, and leaves his date to take her back home. She sobers up while he's ranting about the asshole that wouldn't want to go out with her, and she ends up telling him that he was the date she was trying to go onto. But thankfully for her, he still had feelings for her and they finally get their shit together and start an actual relationship.

They're a mess, at times. It takes her awhile to realize that he isn't going to die on her. It takes him awhile to believe she could love him (hello, her ex was THE Itachi Uchiha, but she lets it slip once that Kankuro is the best sex she's ever had and it gets to his head). She gets jealous pretty easily when she thinks about the women in the village who have been with him before (completely ignoring the fact that she literally has a kid with another man). When she drinks, she gets insanely jealous and is prone to try to fight whatever girl has been checking Kankuro out, which he thinks is pretty hot because of how strong she is and he tends to egg it on at times. They don't discuss marriage until she keeps crying at Naruto and Hinata's wedding, and he suddenly realizes that she may want to get married. And then they get married very quickly and Mitsu asks Kankuro to adopt her (he cries later when he thinks he's alone, but Kurono catches him). He's very proud of his wife and he definitely refers to her as "wife" as much as he can.

Mitsu trains underneath him and becomes a puppet master. I also have it in my head that she becomes one of Shinki's advisors when he becomes the Kazekage and they're an unstoppable duo. Mitsu also has a major crush on Mirai and I love the angst of "the organization that your mother was a part of killed my father" to lovers.

But Kurono and Kankuro are very cute, and she gets very fired up, very easily when she feels like someone isn't treating him right. He is very soft for her and buys her things when he sees something and thinks of her.

Summary: You had never truly thought about how tempting a simple piece of jewelry could be. When this piece of metal causes great distraction, you find yourself giving over to temptation.

It shouldn’t have been that enticing.

No, really, it shouldn’t have been.

But there was something about that silver stud peeking out from between his lips when he spoke that made your brain malfunction. Honestly, it wasn’t fair. But all you wanted was to find out what it would feel like to have that little metal piece of jewelry brush up against your lips.

It was stupid, really.

And then you couldn’t see the piercing any more. All you could see was that little fang poking out over his bottom lip. You blinked slowly as the trance was broken and dragged your gaze back up to his eyes. Dark eyes narrowed back at you. His head was tilted to the side as if he were waiting for you to respond to something he had said.

“Sorry,” you cleared your throat softly. “What did you say again?”

Kiba chuckled and shook his head at you. “Something distract you?”

“Just tired, I guess,” you said. An obvious lie. One that he would easily figure out, you were sure.

He only shrugged it off before repeating himself once again, “I’m heading over to Ichiraku, wanna come?”

It was such a simple word. Such a simple answer. You hadn’t truly thought that a simple utterance of “yes” would’ve led to your back being shoved into the back-alley wall of some building that you knew you should’ve paid more attention to. You were smart—smart enough to have known that the flirting that the two of you had done all throughout dinner would’ve led to this. But you had doubted yourself. Doubted that you would have actually been able to feel that cool metal pierced into his tongue brush in between the seam of your lips, demanding entrance into your mouth.

But here you were.

Your fingers threaded desperately into his hair. You found yourself incredibly grateful that he had ditched that hood all those years ago. Your mouth slid open easily for him, eagerly welcoming in that little piece of jewelry that had made you drop your defenses.

Kiba caged you in with one forearm braced against the wall beside your head. His thigh found its way in between your thighs, pressing just right against your clothed sex. His tongue brushed against your own, that cool metal sending shivers down your spine and drawing a deep moan from your throat. And then his lips were separating from yours, leaving you breathless and panting. You strained your neck up, trying to catch his lips once again, but he ducked his head away from your own and to your neck.

“‘Could smell you all night,” he mumbled against your skin. He whispered your name against the shell of your ear. “You were driving me crazy.” His tongue brushed against your ear, tracing its shape carefully. The little ball at the end of the barbell stroked at your skin, sending direct waves of pleasure to the apex of your thighs.

You clutched at his hair just as you began rocking your hips against him. The angle he had shoved his leg against you was just right to hit you in all the right ways. You knew Kiba—he was a tease—and he wouldn’t give you the satisfaction you wanted when you wanted it. So you would take it for yourself.

“Fucking hell,” he grunted out. “You’re like a bitch in heat.” He pulled back, just enough to be able to look you in the eyes. Just to see them flutter as you chased your release against him. “I know I shouldn’t question it,” and you could see it in his eyes—the way he truly didn’t want to question it—but even you had to admit this wasn’t normal behavior for you, “and it shouldn’t be too surprising that you would want me to fuck you like this, but what’s gotten into you?”

He brushed his lips with his tongue and your eyes narrowed in on that spot in answer. You just couldn’t stop yourself, couldn’t keep this new obsession of yours hidden from him. His eyebrows knit together and his canine poked out from between his lips. And then a moment passed before realization dawned on his face and he began to laugh…loudly.

And then that beautiful pressure against your clothed sex was gone.

“Kiba,” you whined, hands reaching out to grasp at him once again.

He grabbed you by the wrists and pinned your hands above your head, that damn laugh of his still falling from his pretty lips. “It’s the piercing, isn’t it?” he asked through bouts of laughter. “What? Since you saw it, all you can think about is it rubbing against you, is that it?”
