Can i hear more of your thoughts on ehlek if you want bc im very intrigued by your bingo answers and the hc you mentioned
Absolutely! Full disclousure though: Im villain woobifier and while I dont woobify all my villain blorbos, Ehlek is one of the ones that I do.
Ehlek is my third favorite Barraki (my 1 and 2 being Pridak and Takadox respectively if you're curious) and one of my favorite characters in the series as whole. I honestly consider him to be one of the most underrated characters in the series, and easily the most underrated character that isn't a serial-exclusive lore character (see Miserix or Artakha for instance). Just, I adore him so much.
One of the main reasons I like Ehlek is because of he is rather unique by Bionicle villain standards. Ehlek is one of the rare villains in the series that isn't a variation of the "powerhungry conqueror with a personality gimmick to stand them out" archetype because...he isn't really powerhungry or greedy at all. Instead, Ehlek is pretty much exclusively characterized by his anger and paranoia towards others. Ehlek is motivated not by a thirst of power, but rather by his emotions: from what I recall most of his actions in canon stem from wanting to hurt whatever upset him that day. And like I said, this incredibly unique by Bionicle villain standards, the only other villain who is motivated exclusively by emotion is Miserix, and guy isn't even really a villain (TSO and Pridak ocasionally are driven by their emotions, but they still mainly fall to the "powerhungry bastard" trope Greg loved to use). And not just is Ehlek stand out, he stands out in a way I like. I love villains driven by their emotion, so Ehlek being a paranoid distrusting mess is just the absolute best for me.
Because Ehlek is an emotionally driven character and doesn't fall for the "greedy bastard Greg villain mold" unlike his fellow Barraki (Takadox and debatably Carapar not withstanding), I actually really like thinking of Ehlek as the "token sympathetic villain" of the Barraki. I ADORE the "token sympathetic/nice guy in a villain faction" trope, and wish it was something Bionicle had done more often. Now, due to Barraki being tyrannic conquerors, seeing any of them as a "good guy" is kinda iffy. However, I do think having one of them be less bastardly and more sympathetic/tragic could work very well. And I think Ehlek is the best fit given his personality as said. As such a lot of my Ehlek related headcanons are giving him more sympathetic traits. Including giving him a tragic backstory because of course I would.
So my backstory headcanon for Ehleks backstory is rather long and detailed, so I wont go everything here. But I can give you a summary. Basically my headcanon for Ehlek is that he was a prince/ruler of one of the many underwater kingdoms in a continent somewhat wayside of the Matoran Universe. He was well meaning and rather naive, and thus was used as a political pawn by other political figures. He was repeatedly manipulated and taken adcantage of both by other rulers and his own allies. Eventually, after being told he had been used by his own advisor the whole time, Ehlek snapped, and killed anyone he saw as a threat, including the aforementioned advisor. Guy basically become a tyrant after having his trust being broken and kindness abused one too many times.
And thats why I put all those "aaa poor baby uwu" answers. Ehlek for me is a tragic figure who was evil not by nature, but because being repeatedly betrayed and used broke his mind to a distrustful mess. He never wanted to hurt anyone, he just wanted to love and help others. Unlike the other five Barraki he wasnt always an opportunistic warmongerer, he was orginally a kindhearted sensitive soul that wasnt able to take it anymore, so he broke. Just god little little baby you didnt deserve it and shouldve been able to live a happy nad fulfilling life.

Okay but all the little changes and everything in Scum Villain add up to the ultimate, biggest difference in the story, which is this:
Shen Qingqiu, who was an early villain in the novel who gets defeated relatively early in the story (relative to the fact that there are about a billion more pages after he becomes a human stick) and Luo Binghe, who was the main character, both completely reverse their roles.
Shen Qingqiu becomes the protagonist who is generally very well liked. The Shen Qingqiu of PIDW was a liar and a schemer and just about the most suspicious person in any given room at any given time. The Shen Qingqiu of SVSSS is a liar (by necessity) and a schemer (of ways to off himself but live through it) and just about the most suspicious person in any given room at any given time (if someone who I had a rivalry with suddenly called me a “beauty fading,” I think I would react in a similar way to Liu Qingge honestly). All the traits that made the character disliked are things that the others actively choose to ignore in the person, because they like him.
Luo Binghe becomes not just a villain, but the ultimate villain. The unbeatable villain. Luo Binghe in PIDW was generally very well-liked because he could manipulate people into thinking he wasn’t that bad and he was morally grey and he could defeat any monster with relative ease. Luo Binghe in SVSSS is generally disliked, particularly because whenever he pulls out his very convincing polite person cosplay, everyone knows that he is definitely manipulating them and is a bit wary of why. He’s morally grey but his morals are even more screwed up than his predecessor. He can defeat any monster with relative ease, but he can’t defeat any person he wants to, he can’t kill anybody he wants to, because he knows that Shen Qingqiu would hate him if he did and he doesn’t want that. The traits that the original used to his own advantage only makes this version more and more unhappy.
Shen Qingqiu goes from a villain, the villain the readers all most wanted for Luo Binghe to take out because of how terrible he was to Luo Binghe, to the protagonist.
Luo Binghe goes from the protagonist, the protagonist with hundreds of wives and the world under his control, to the villain.
I can never get over this role reversal, this swapping of spots, this absolute 180 of the characters from the base novel. It’s one of the clearest indicators of the story being permanently altered. It’s part of why they fit so well and work and it’s really good, it’s really really good I like it a lot.

Hear me out… TMA entities x IDV. Like if the IDV characters were avatars of them. Focusing mainly on survivors, but I threw a few hunters in for good measure.
The Buried would be Andrew. I mean it’s perfect really. His whole thing is going underground, and he even has the Claustrophobia trait. Norton could also work, as he did bury all those miners in the cave and was under immense financial hardship. I think he’d be a victim of the Buried more so though.
The Corruption I feel would best be portrayed by Melly. Since she loves bees, she could be a Flesh Hive for them. And her unhealthy relationship with her husband could also add to the whole corruption thing.
The Dark is one I’m a little iffy on, but could be a couple characters IMO. I could see Jack, Ann, Sangria, or maybe Nightmare? Like all of them vaguely have dark themed powers, but not specifically The Dark level stuff. So idk.
What immediately comes to mind for The Desolation is Emma and Leo, for obvious reasons. Those being Emma burning Kreacher alive and Leo’s entire life being destroyed + dying in his factory fire. I see Emma more so an Avatar, and I feel like Leo would be more of a victim of it. Like Emma saw what happened to Leo and was drawn to the Desolation. Philippe also could be an easy one, as he’s all waxy and fire-y.
The End is quite clearly Aesop. His obsession with death is the perfect complement to The End. No further notes.
The Eye is a pretty general one, so I think it could match Orpheus, Alice, Helena, Keigan, and Eli. Orpheus and Alice are like the main character kinda of IDV, so it makes sense for them to be The Eye. Also they always wants to solve mysteries and learn more about the manor, even if it hurts them. Then, Helena is just super smart, so it’s practically a given she’d be Eye. Kiegan’s power is also pretty similar to the Eye, observing survivors and storing the information, and her whole record keeping thing. Also Eli and Helena I think would just be aesthetically interesting. Like you see the vision right?
I honestly think there isn’t a character that would match The Flesh. There’s not really any body horror in IDV, so there nobody to match. Maybe Percy, but he’s not really a good match
The Hunt would match well with Naib, as his whole life is pretty much finding and killing people. I could see an argument for Bane, but I’m not fully sold on it.
The Lonely is another one I’m not sure about. Jack is foggy yeah, but not particularly lonely.
The Slaughter is another one I think Naib could belong to, being a mercenary and all. Martha also seems like a good candidate, but I’m not sure she really fits the violence. Other than that, I think that a lot of the hunters could match the Slaughter a little but I’m not sure.
Though I don’t think she’s looks wise very The Spiral-like, Yidrah would very much fit the Distortion. She causes people to have dreams and stuff, so that could easily transfer to illusions. Also, I think Emil would be a victim of the Spiral possibly, because of his very fragile mental state.
For the Stranger, firstly, I think most of the Hullabaloo cast would be part of it simply because they are circus people. Maybe Margaretha would be the Nikolai stand-in, idk. Either way, I also think Matthias would be part of the Stranger, because of his whole puppeteering thing and because Louis is just too uncanny valley not to be. Anne I feel could be a victim of the Stranger if not an Avatar. Perhaps she’s a witness to one of her toys being creepy or she becomes a Not-Them, but idk.
For The Vast, I think Charles is ultimately the best choice, if only because of his connection to the sky. Not much else to say about it. Maybe Anne also because of her connection to flying, but that’s very loose. Grace could also be a candidate, as deep water is another manifestation of The Vast.
The Web is pretty obviously Violetta, are because spider. I also see Matthias, because of the whole puppeteering thing.
The Extinction would best be portrayed probably by Bonbon, just because he’s the only ‘computer’ thing in IDV.

I do genuinely think making Frankie intentionally autistic would be a natural evolution in understanding their character. Like a realization that the traits are core to their character beyond just them being new to living, things that would stick around much longer than them just getting used to existence. An understanding from the writers that if their character can so easily "unintentionally come off as autistic," perhaps the core of that character inherently aligns with and strikes a chord with that experience.
Snippets from the leak (and very long analysis) below.
Tumblr media
They have the ingredients, if only they take the opportunity to embrace it.
There's potential for a similar evolution with Lagoona.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We've already seen in the show that Lagoona has idealized, fairy tale (scary tale) ideas about love, and specific archetypes in mind. If her arc is about learning real relationships, including romantic ones, aren't like the ones in fairy tales and telenovelas, you could organically take that in the direction of her first major romantic relationship not working out because it was built on these idealized notions. Especially considering our first time seeing Gil in the show is as the dream guy in Lagoona's story, you could create an arc around her idealizing him, falling in love with him, but then realizing the relationship doesn't click as well or easily as she thought it would (not necessarily from anything bad between them). She could start to recognize love in different shapes than she'd expected, in different places than she'd usually look, and surprise herself with what she finds.
There's no reason Lagoona needs to be straight, or otherwise. But within her arc, there's an opportunity to go beyond her learning about real relationships and romance, to explore a character discovering their orientation. It'd also draw a more distinct parallel to her growth from her initial false friendship with Toralei—based on dependency, uneven dynamics, and abstract ideas of what it means to be friends—to finding real friendship with Draculaura and co—based on mutual trust and acceptance.
Again, I don't think they'd need to paint Gil in a bad light for a potential romantic relationship between him and Lagoona to not work. In fact it'd be better and more meaningful if they didn't, both within the context of the arc itself being about Lagoona's self-discovery, and the context of their rocky relationship in g1.
Of note, Gil's only mention in the version of bible that got leaked is in relation to Lagoona.
Tumblr media
Given the g3 show's current track record, it's undeniable his character will get expanded on beyond a relationship to Lagoona. And that none of that shows up in the leaked version of the bible is one of the (many!) things that points to it being a document in ongoing development (I could honestly make a whole other post about the characterizations that don't align with the final show).
On that note and as a final point, same as with Gil, Howleen's only mention in the leaked bible is in relation to Clawdeen.
Tumblr media
Here, there's an idea of Howleen being a yet-unknown relative to Clawdeen, not very expanded upon. However, Howleen being a yet-unknown younger sister to Clawdeen, in addition to maintaining the relationship they had in g1, also makes a more compelling story than Howleen being a younger cousin of various relation. The main issue is figuring out how that fits with the timeline of their mother getting stuck on Beheme. It's probable making Howleen a younger cousin was an idea considered mainly because it avoids that issue entirely.
That being said, there's enough timeywimey shenanigans surrounding Beheme, and open-endedness around Selena Wolf's disappearance, that they could've still worked something else out.
But there's also potential to explore Howleen being a half-sister, or becoming an adopted sister later on. Both would be interesting dynamics not often too represented or explored in children's media, and could be valuable as relatable or teachable experiences for the show's target audience.
These are just my ideas of how Frankie, Lagoona, and Howleen could be expanded upon from the initial concepts in the leaked version of the bible. What I'm getting at is there are ways to get from this point, the specific version of the bible that was leaked, to a final show where Frankie is autistic (and maybe AuDHD), Lagoona is bi/pan/ace even, and Howleen is in some way Clawdeen's sister. Because, like I said in my last post, show bibles change, develop, and get updated as writers work on the show.
And as I mentioned earlier, there are several characterizations in the leaked version of the show bible that also don't line up with what we've seen in the finalized show, already halfway through the first season.
The leak doesn't provide any canon confirmation or deconfirmation. It just provides insight to how the writers were thinking about certain ideas at the time it was last updated.

i have a theory that honestly isn’t very likely to be true but it’s just a thought i had.
so we all know how isayama said that he had a different idea for the ending but because of popular demand he had to alter it a bit. well…
what if his initial idea was to have eren not have an endgame, meaning he’d have no romantic love interests or at least not canonically end up with anyone. and i when i say this i mean he wasn’t supposed to end up with mikasa nor armin.
to ymir mikasa was the “key” to freeing her and she’d been waiting on her for 2000 years. now if mikasa was the purpose this entire time then i’d like to believe that everything that happened was molded to fit her experience. if ymir used mikasa to free her by seeing what option she’d choose between supporting or letting go of her love it’d make sense eren was molded in that way.
eren has essentially been a pawn of ymir since he was born and when he learned this truth he realized that everything that happened and the outcomes were dependent on mikasa’s choice not necessarily his own actions. this makes me wonder if the events that brought eren and mikasa together were also controlled by ymir or at least “fated” by ymir.
ymir needed mikasa to love and become attached to someone just as much as she was to king fritz. maybe mikasa’s parents being murdered and her almost being sold off was to draw eren in to save and protect her. or her parents being killed was something already bound to happen and ymir made sure eren was present and had a drive to protect her. this is what ultimately started their bond and mikasa’s connection to eren.
over time it’s seen that eren hardly ever reciprocates the same way mikasa does romantically and if he does it’s very subtle and typically catered to what mikasa herself wants. like them running off together for 4 years to the cabin in the paths, eren says that that’s something mikasa wanted not necessarily himself. i believe that the romantic acts eren does for mikasa could’ve also been swayed by ymir to have mikasa grow more attached to eren so that in the end her decision to kill him was more impactful.
eren is known for being extremely complicated and i think one of the main reasons for this is because his mind is constantly conflicted between what ymir wants him to do and what he actually wants to do. his motivation for freedom, his dream of the outside world, and his compassion for those close to him are all things that are the real eren while gaining the power of the titans, going thru with the rumbling, and pursuing mikasa are all things he’s been told he wants to do out of his control.
i wholeheartedly believe and know that eren cares deeply about mikasa the same way he cares about armin; however, i don’t believe that he likes her romantically. eren has said that he has a feeling that he wants to protect mikasa and i think that’s the true eren speaking because he’s the same way with armin. but outside of this platonic connection everything else between them feels very forced and i think that’s because it is: it’s forced by ymir.
i think isayama wanted to end the series with eren not loving anyone beyond the platonic bond he shared with mikasa, armin, and his other friends. not to say that eren isn’t capable of love, but i don’t think that was his main priority for eren, eren was meant to be a very morally gray person that is a human doing inhumane acts for the sake of a very humane trait, compassion. i feel like adding in a romance, yes, makes eren come off as more humane, but at the same time the love he was given felt very out of character for him. hence why i believe the ending he wanted was going to showcase that this love actually is out of character for him because it’s not truly his own.
for an in-character eren, i can see him apologizing to mikasa that he could never be enough for her or give her what she deserves. that he wanted her to forget him because all he’s done is mess with her feelings because the person pursuing her wasn’t really him. that he loves her a lot but not in the way she wants him to. that he’s been fighting his own mind and in the end couldn’t win. that he wanted to tell armin that he wishes he could’ve done better for them, that he could’ve saved armin from the tragedy of the outside world and could’ve saved mikasa from loving him.
and mikasa knows that eren never loved her the same but regardless she loved him enough to end both the world’s suffering and his own. she understood that the eren she’s seen the past years wasn’t the eren she grew up with and she’s happy that he was finally able to rest. this closure allows her to live her life as her own, to live the life that she deserves with someone who will openly love her and living her life knowing she’s more than just someone that was devoted to eren and subjected to ymir’s ideals. that eren will always be held close to her heart as someone very close to her.
this is really what saves ymir is this parallel of loving someone that protected you and saved you and was seen in ur eyes as a savior who in the end became inhumane and didn’t love you the way you loved them, and being able to let that person go and not feel the need to be attached to them. obviously the difference is that eren was always more humane than king fritz which is what adds more sentiment to the story but the parallel still applies. this is why ymir fabricated this eren for mikasa.

2017 Ducktales as pokemon trainers an their Teams
Tumblr media
Here’s the next, are currently final, Disney cartoon on my list for makings characters into pokemon trainers. After this I will move over to doing other shows on Cartoon network. I did not get into this show when it was airing, and that was my bad. Once I did watch it it quickly became on of my favorites, and inspired me to look up older cartoons surrounding Donald, and his family as well. Its a good show an seems to be (rightly) held up as one of the best done reboots. Hopefully it still has some fans going back to its fan base, who will check this out.
I am going to do this list a bit differently than my other though. In previous lists I have either given all the characters full teams of 6, or given main characters teams of 6 and secondary characters teams of 3-4 pokemon. For 2017 Ducktales though, since it has such a large cast and they all always go on adventures in groups, I am not giving anyone 6 pokemon. Because then there would really be to many characters to fit in the plane, much less the show. Considering the group sizes I have decided to give the child characters 2 pokemon each, adult members of the duck family (by both blood and heart) get three each. This way the three triplets, or Webby, and her friends would all have six in total. Same with Duo’s like Donald and Della, or Scrooge and Beakley. I am also only giving villain or antagonist characters two, because that’s about the mass number villains ever had at one time in the show.
Adults are on this list. Kids are on my previous list
Scrooge and  Beakley
Tumblr media
Scrooge Mcduck
Scrooge’s thing is that he is“Smarter than the smarties, tougher than the toughies, and sharper than the sharpies”. So I picked out three pokemon for him based on those traits
Slowking: Scrooges “Smartier than the smarties” pokemon
Charizard: Scrooges “Tougher than the toughies” pokemon. Yes, of course Scrooge is able to mega evolve his charizard. He is Scrooge McDuck
Mightyena: Scrooges “Sharper than the sharpies” pokemon
Even with limiting the characters to to a maximum of three pokemon each, this is still a more Op team than I usually try to give. But it’s Scrooge Mcduck’s team, and his character is designed to be an OP mentor to the next generations of adventures.
Bentina Beakley
Greninja: Well she is not just Bentina Beakley. She is also Agent 22. Greninja is a pokemon that Agent 22 caught (as a froakie) and trained to assist her in her spy days. It still assists herto this day, in keeping the manor, and its inhabitants safe
Nidorina: So one notable change in the 2017 ducktales depiction of Mrs.Beakley is her physical appearance. She went from being a soft and round women to a more muscled and fit women. This change makes sense when you take into count the changes to her backstory, and that she has lived a more physically demanding life. Well anyway because she is such a muscular and fit women I decided to give her a muscular and fit female pokemon. Why did I give her a Nidorina, instead of its evolved form Nidoqueen?  Because I wanted it to  still have the potential o evolve in a battle, while helping Beakley protect the kids.
Minccino: In both the 2017 version, and in the original one Mrs.Beakley is Scrooges house keeper. It’s a big manor, and I thought she could use a pokemon that would give her a hand with all the wok. I googled what the cleanliest pokemon was and got Minccino. Honestly the idea of this big, strict, and sophisticated, women having a cute, little, chinchilla pocket pet is just to good to pass up.
Donald and Della Duck
Tumblr media
Donald Duck
Dewgone: Because he is a sailor and a former Navy seal.
Psyduck: Because as a tough, pretty unlucky duck, that is constantly dealing with headaches, and has a bad side you do NOT want to be on, Psyduck is basically a pokemon version of Donald.
Minun: This one is a tie to and representative of his bond with Della. Because of that I might swap Minun out for another pokemon if I ever do Donald in a different usiverse, where he lives with either the other two Caballeros or Micky. In this Universe Della has a Plusle and the twins siblings caught them together, back when they first started adventuring with Scrooge.
Della Duck
Skarmory: She is a pilot so she needs a champion flying type. The size and fiercness of a skarmory makes it a pokemon that would suit Della very well.
Plusle: The sibling to Donald’s minun, and representative of Donald and Della’s bond as siblings
Klefairy: Picked because of Della’s goals and association with the Moon. I think she had it before going into space (if she caught it on the moon couldn’t it have just taken her to the moonlanders) and it helped her try to rebuild her rocket to get back home.
Launchpad and Darkwing Duck
Tumblr media
Launchpad McQuack
Flygon: He is a pilot so, like Della and Dewey, I am giving him flying pokemon. But they both have birds, and I wanted to give Launchpad something different to help distinguish himself a bit, while still making sure it was big enough for him and others to ride on. This led me to flygon.
Gligar: a cute, clumsy, silly, little bat-scorpion pokemon. A prefect buddy, secondary flying pokemon for launchpad. Also I headcannon that in the original dakwing duck cartoons D.D. has a gliscor, and that inspired L.p. to catch a gligar
Mantyke: While going through the list of flying type pokemon it occurred to that some of Luanchpad’s crashes happen over water, and he probably gets suck in the ocean a fair bit. So it would come in handy for him to have a pokemon that could help him swim to shore,
Drake Mallard a.k.a Darkwing Duck
Growlith: To highlight that he is a brave, little guy, who guards others.
Koffing: It can do smoke screens, and Dawrkwing uses smoke screens all the times to appear and disappear
Drifblim: So I said on my kids form that I tried to do bat pokemon for all three of the dark wing trio. But that I could not make any of them work for Gosalyn or Drake. So I changed the linker to just being nocturnal pokemon. Launchpad has Gligar, Gosalyn has Rowlet, and I think Driftblim is a really good fit for  Drake/Darkwing. It can help him swoop around around the town to “watch over it”. It’s big enough to carry him and his companions. It does not have control of where it goes, but that works to since this team is largely klutzes with Drake/Darkwing being the biggest klutz of all.
Gyro and Fenton
Tumblr media
Gyro Gearloose
The way I see it Gyro would be an electric type trainer
Magnamite: A cute little magnet pokemon. Represents when Gyro’s inventions (such a little bulb) are small, and helpful, and not evil and trying to destroy everybody.
Zebrashtrike: For Manny, since Gyro is the one who employed him and made him a part of the Duck/Mcduck’s family.
Electivire: A big electric monster. Represents when Gyro’s little, helpful, non evil inventions turn big, and angry, and dangerous.
Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera
Fenton I believe would be a steal type trainer
Registered: The most similar a pokemon I could find to his Gizmoduck suit. It would be a partner to him when he is out doing hero patrols.
Bronzo: Because both Fenton and Gizmoduck care about defending people in need. This pokemon would be shared among both personas. It’s not like Fenton’s “secret identity” is really an actual secret after all.
Togedenru: This one is just Fenton’s, not Gizmoduck’s. I picked it because it’s an electric and steal type. Gyro is the person Fenton admires most (I persoanlly do not ship them as a couple, but I am also not opposed to them being one) so I could see him wanting a pokemon that’s half his type and half Gyros. Its also pudgy, fluffy, and cute. So maybe its Fentons emotional support pokemon for when his life gets to stressful (Because you know it would).
Daisy  Duck
Tumblr media
Daisy is a fashion designer in this  universe, so I picked pokemon that had very elegant and fashionable appearances: Milotic and beautifly.
For her third pokemon I picked a ducklett. It’s still a very elegant white/blue pokemon. It being another water pokemon goes well with the life the season 3 finale sets up for her and Donald to have together. Maybe it and  Donald’s Psyduck could become friends.
Gandra Dee
Tumblr media
Looks like she will primarily be a ground type trainer
Claydol: Some of its battle moves are similar to ones Gandra uses.
Ditto: Her goal is to push the boundaries of science. Given that Ditto can turn into pokemon, people, and inanimate objects, it is a pokemon where it and its tainer can certainly work to push the boundaries of its transformative abilities
Drilbur: She caught it sometime after she and Fenton started dating and she became a mole inside F.O.W.L.
Penumbra
Tumblr media
Honestly at first I was not going to even put Penumbra. Not because I do not think she is cool (she is), but because a big part of her character is that she is from the moon. So she would have to have lunar/space pokemon, and there are only a few of those, much less ones that would suit her.
Deoxys: I finally remembered this one. While not a fighting type, Deoxys is a super tough warrior from outer space, and a very loyal friend (see the pokemon movie Destiny Deoxys, and everything it goes through to rescue its friend). This is perfect for Penumdra, as I cannot see her just standing at one end of a battle field calling out attacks. She would want a pokemon that she could fight hand and hand along side with
Starmie; She already has a deoxys, and that could have been enough if I did not find anything else... But I rewatched some of the first season; saw Starmies spin attack, it come in like 3rd place in a race while carrying Misty, and it fly out to confront a giant, angry, tenticruel. I also read on wiki that it can flash its core a rainbow of colors (ooh reference to Penny being Lesbian). So I would say it and Penumdra would be pretty cool too.
Chespin: Deoxys and Starmie are the two pokemon she had in space/on the Moon. When she decides to live on planet Earth instead though she catches an Earth starter. Starmie is already a water type, and I personally feel like she would chose grass over fire types. I looked at all all the grass types and selected Chespin due to its move pool and evolution's.
Goldie O’Gilt
Tumblr media
Goldie has 2 pokemon. She has a Persian and a Liepard. 2 strong, stealthy, theiving, cats  to help Goldie track down treasure and scare away anyone who does not think Goldie should be taking it with her.
Villians
Tumblr media
GlomGold: 2 sharpedo’s. Because he loved Sharks so much, he states a few times that his personal sharks are basically the closest thing to a real family (as apposed to the employs he hires, doops, uses, then Betrays) that he has.
Magica De Spell: She is a ghost type trainer and has a Misdreavus and a Mismagius. Beautiful, loud, terrifying, nocturnal, tricksters.
Ma Beagle: She has a Snubble and a Grubble of course. Basically the pokemon versions of her “boys”
Mark Beaks: He has a pikachu and a Raiachu. Like everything else in his life he acquired them because the public thought they were “cute” and “meme worthy”. So he got a pair to be his mascots.
I am leaving Lunaris and Bradford off this list. Lunaris because simply put I am out of space pokemon. Bradford because given how he hated adventure as much as he did, I feel like he would probably also hate pokemon, and pokemon training.
Storkules and Selene
I like them a lot and want to have them on this list. I will give them one Pokemon each. Storkules has a Regigigas and Selene has a Lunatone. Zeus does not get any pokemon. Zeus is not mature enough to be a trainer

I honestly really, really love how you portrey FPK in your AU! I never saw PK in game as evil or villainous or anything like that. Hallownest seemed to prosper before his altercation with Radiance. Hallownest was incredibly advanced and probably MUCH bigger than the game even showed. He did seem to push other gods out of his kingdom, which caused Radiance to be forgotten and lead to the fall of the kingdom, but there were no hints anywhere around Hallownest that he was evil. And the music that plays in the White Palace is beautiful and sad and feels so full of regrets. It is not a track fitting the caricature folks have made his concept into. I wanted more about Hallownest and what it was before, and more about PK and who he was as a king. That is why my PK, who grew into my OC Kavuta, had an ego and was vain, but was far from evil and had many regrets over the entire situation and how he was forced to handle it.
I admit I may be a little guilty of... woobifying him, I think is the word. Maybe even very guilty. Some people may not like that, which is fine, but to me FPK is a very relatable character (sure I wrote him that way but, you know what I mean) so it's really hard for me not to feel bad for him. Especially with everything he's gone through in the AU backstory. But I think it explains a lot about him and his actions.
And yeah, the game definitely portrays PK in a very tragic light. I don't think there's a character in the game who outright despises him. Well, except for The Radiance I guess, but we never really get to know her thoughts, maybe her anger was directed at everyone, not him specifically. That's another thing that I have a bit of trouble understanding about a lot of the most common fanon. For example, Hornet hating PK, it's so widespread you'd think there was something pointing towards it in the game, but I don't think she even mentions him at any point, which sure, may suggest they weren't close, but that's just one of many possible interpretations. I don't know, I just sometimes feel like I'm missing something, even though I know I am not.
But yeah, to return to what you said. There is a lot in the game to suggest that he was never meant to be evil, so it's frustrating how often people paint him as the villain of the story. I don't think there is one, even The Radiance is a complex character you can sympathize with to some extent. I guess it's just an inevitable part of the fandom and the fanon they propagate, that they'll latch onto details and make that the only trait of a given character, even if said detail misrepresents the character or is completely made up. It gets quite frustrating but there's nothing to be done, unfortunately.
And I wouldn't even have a problem with people interpreting a character one way or another if they took it as just that - an interpretation, not something universal. But no, PK being a buzzsaw obsessed child murderer is so common in the general fandom that new people who get into the game assume that's just what he is, even if he's so much more complex in the game. It's a shame, really. Also, I'm not saying it's bad to dislike PK. No, not at all, that is entirely subjective, he did do terrible things after all. But when I see someone make up reasons to hate him and then spread that like it's the objective fact from the game? Yeah that's just. That's not it. I don't get that.
I said it before but this is the main reason why I don't really interact with the fandom these days. Or any fandom for that matter. It's too frustrating, and I'd rather focus on my AU since I genuinely do love it, instead of having other people sour HK for me over dumb things I can't change haha

Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle Character Overview #1: The Marios
Tumblr media
Let's get started with the title character and the character you can rearrange the words to also make the title character.
Mario Mario is not only one of the three characters you get at the start of the game, but he's one you're stuck with the entire playthrough. Given the dedicated and unchanging role of "Leader", Mario is forced to be in the party at all times in the main single player modes.
Good news: Mario is in fact good. While he lacks any defensive utility, his all-out all-around offense makes him a solid addition to any team.
Talking about his stats, Mario is generally average but with a key weakness in mobility. His basic movement range is the lowest in the game accounting for max upgrades. However, his health is solid, and he can improve his mobility thanks to his movement ability.
Mario's special movement trait is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the Stomp Jump. After team jumping off of an ally, Mario can then select an enemy within team jump range to then jump off of in much less friendly fashion, dealing a solid chunk of damage and allowing Mario to land nearby. The secondary landing range can be improved, making for an unconventional boost to mobility if enemies are nearby in the proper position. The damage of the stomp shouldn't be understated either, as with max upgrades it serves as the second highest damage a single non-weapon attack can deal. Mario also has an average single dash attack, but his two sources of free damage can make him an especially flexible fighter.
Mario's main weapon is the humble Blaster, a solid single-target medium range weapon that's the baseline to compare all other primary weapons to. There's not much to note about it, honestly. It's a gun. That Mario has. Its basic reliability is a fine fit for Mario though, who can enhance it with his special techniques and supplement its average damage with our next topic:
Mario's secondary weapon meanwhile is both more interesting and more conventional of a presence in the plumber's arsenal (yes I remember Yoshi's Safari but hush), the hammer-shaped Melee. This close-quarters weapon works, as you'd expect, only in melee range, or one tile away from an enemy. To compensate, Melees are the strongest out of any main or secondary weapon, and even have a larger AOE splash radius as long as you've managed to target a direct hit first. As with all secondaries, there's a one-turn cooldown between uses, so you can't use this attack every turn. For Mario Mario specifically, his short movement range makes this not always an ideal fit, but it can be a great way to secure a kill on an enemy you just stomped and just landed right next to.
Mario's arsenal is privy to two super effects whenever he gets a critical hit, both of which he can apply with moderate regularity: Honey and Bounce. These are a solid pair of effects, around middle of the pack in my opinion if I were to rank them. Honey mucks an enemy's feet and stops them in place. While fine in most situations, it excels against Smashers and other melee-range enemies with reactionary movement abilities. Bounce meanwhile will simply bounce an enemy in an arc backwards. If you happen to knock an enemy out of bounds, then they take bonus damage. Both of these positioning-disrupting abilities are solid, but interact especially well with Mario's first ability:
Hero Sight is a reactionary attack that you activate on your turn, where you wait for an enemy to move within your weapon's range to fire a free attack. While this is generally used on an enemy's turn to catch their normal movement, any enemy movement will activate the reactionary attack, including super effects, enemy-positioning abilities, and enraging Smasher-like enemies. Also worth noting that Bounce will stop an enemy's movement if it's their turn, so with either effect a lucky Hero Sight shot can put an enemy into an unintended position on their part. Mario can also upgrade this ability to have higher damage than his normal shots, and fire two of them per one use of the ability. (also the term that Xcom fans use to describe this kind of ability is "Overwatch" but that's gonna be confusing so I'll just call these abilities "Sights". Mostly because the mental image of Mario: 76 is funny)
Mario's kit is very damage-focused so far, and that comes to a climax with his last ability: M-Power. This punny but potent effect gives a massive damage boost to all allies in range. The boost lasts until the start of your next turn, so you can start a round with all your team grouped together, let them spread around to deal heavy damage wherever needed, and even pair it with an ally's Sights ability if you want. You can't use M-Power and Mario's own Sights on the same turn though.
Overall, it's not too much a shame to have Mario be the one forced team member, since his reliable damage output is solid enough to where he's always nice to have around.
His interdimensional mutant counterpart on the other hand is a much more bombastic presence: the peak of masculinity, Rabbid Mario.
Rabbid Mario is unique from the other Rabbids compared to their non-Rabbid counterparts in a few ways. He's the only one you unlock after the original, partway into the second of the game's four main worlds. And unlike the others, where the original is more extreme than the parody, Rabbid Mario takes his counterpart's damage-focused playstyle and cranks it up to be a risky close-quarters high-damage menace, and a top-tier threat that I've seen some players ignore in favor of safer team comps.
Rabbid Mario has slightly above average health, and also some of the better movement range of the cast, though not quite the highest. These stats both aid in Rabbid Mario's role as an aggro bruiser.
Also aiding in this role is the dramatic Boom Dash. While the classic characters all have abilities to augment their team jumps, the playable rabbids all have special dashes. In addition to having three total dashes with high damage upgrades, his dashes unleash a shockwave AOE that damages anything nearby the initial target, making him deadly against grouped opponents. Though note: any time I bring up an attack having an AOE component, remember that while single-shot attacks can't friendly-fire, AOE attacks can, so Rabbid Mario works well when his allies are a safe distance away while he goes to town, especially since this applies to both of his weapons as well.
Rabbid Mario's main weapon is the Boomshot, AKA oh god this man has a shotgun. Boomshots are the only AOE-based primary, dealing damage to anything in a conical radius. It's also the only primary with falloff damage, dealing high damage up close but low damage at its max range, which is still limited but can pick off a low-health enemy while putting a heavier dent into whatever's between you and them.
Somewhat redundantly, his weapon is the Melee, shared with Mario. Rabbid Mario's unique set of skills can still make use of it, arguably even better than Mario can, but it does mean he struggles with range more than any other character.
Rabbid Mario has the best set of super effects in the game though: Stone and Vamp. Stone is the ultimate "nuh uh" debuff, completely disabling enemy movement, attacks, and techniques. Rabbid Mario makes exceptional use out of it, as his aggressive close-quarters positioning can leave him in some dicey positions if he doesn't finish the job, but the Stone effect can let him leave an enemy alive while not being subject to a counterattack. Vamp is perhaps less objectively great, but still a personal favorite. A critical Vamp attack will not only return a portion of the damage dealt by the initial attack back as healing to the attacker, but will also let any further attacks from any other source gain the lifesteal benefit as well. Rabbid Mario can take more damage than the rest of the cast thanks to the aggressive positioning he demands to be effective, but getting Vamp frequently against groups of enemies lets him self sustain like got dang Reaper Overwatch with his lifesteal shotgun. He's on the luckier side too, so he can rely on these effects with relative consistency in the late game.
The first bad part about Rabbid Mario is his first ability, Body Guard. All Rabbids have a personal defensive bubble ability in the same way all the normal Mario-verse cast has a Sights ability, and Rabbid Mario's is the worst. It specializes in denying body damage, such as dashes and landing impacts. However, these attacks are not only uncommon, but hard to anticipate in advance. The shield can be upgraded to block a tiny amount of weapon damage too, but the max is still pretty dang weak.
But last up is Rabbid Mario's second ability, and the butter on the toast that makes him the juggernaut he is: Magnet Dance. Using his sheer charismatic appeal, Rabbid Mario seduces any enemy in range to get as close as possible to him (more or less). I feel the need to remind you how much Rabbid Mario thrives against groups of enemies and enemies up close. The combo of Magnet Dance and either of Rabbid Mario's weapons can't be beat, especially lethal if combined with his counterpart's M-Powerment to jack up the damage to be lethal to almost any normal enemy with a crit, in which oh hey, you also just either denied all of them their next turn or healed yourself back up from literally any amount of health. It's the best thing in the game for clearing groups of enemies quickly, and makes him a mainstay in speedruns for any enemy-based mission for the entire run once he joins the team.
Rabbid Mario is a top-tier menace who I've seen some people argue is the best in the game, but some players also seem to be averse to his playstyle because of the raw moxie it takes to play to his strengths. For those willing to brave a quick, glorious fight though, Rabbid Mario is a one-man wrecking crew so efficient it makes his human counterpart's early career look pathetic.
Next up though, we can't have Marios too long without some Luigis to pair with them, so next up we'll go over the fan favorite and my favorite out of the cast.

Okay, so I think that the Wheelers and Creels might be related, but I don't think Alice survived. I think the connection is actually between Karen and Virginia.
Here's what I think. I think maybe Virginia and Karen are sisters. The timeline would make it so that at Karen's birth Virginia at the earliest would be 17. My suspicion would be that Virginia is 18 at Karen's birth.
If that's the case that would make Henry cousins with the Wheeler siblings which would be interesting honestly. We all have those younger cousins that like ruin everything 🙄.
We also know a bit more about the Wheeler's extended family than we do other characters. We know they have a cousin named Joanna and we know about the existence of the elusive "nana".
Entertaining this plotline given what would be a massive age-gap it's unlikely Karen would know much about Virginia. So, Karen's connection to the Creel house would be a connection to an elusive older sibling that she may or may not know about.
The main thing that draws me away from the idea of Alice being alive is because the government would've 100% kept her. Like her brother has powers and she just wakes up after having her heart stopped? They would get involved like that. That being said it's possible that Alice has powers. I don't think that Karen does though. Holly might as well, but if that's the case then it would be a bloodline thing.
Karen also doesn't look like Alice. Their eyes are different colors. Virginia and Alice have blue eyes while Karen's eyes are brown. Normally this could easily be dismissed, but given how often we see eyes be edited to show something in the show it makes me hesitant to dismiss this admittedly small detail.
Both of the Wheeler parents needs to have a history of blue eyes though in order for it to be a trait that pops up so often. There is definitely a history of blue eyes in Karen's family whoever they might be. Although how realistic to biology are they going to keep things, honestly.
Another thing is that I think Henry would know if he failed to kill his sister (lmao he might, but I digress. If she ends up being alive and Karen then that's that). He makes pretty pointed comments about his father and even Barb, but doesn't do the same with Karen. If she's family that he's never met/spoken to then it would make sense. The targeting of the Wheeler's would also make sense under this theory.
Karen also has some interesting light parallels to Virginia. A wife living a cul-de-sac life, Virginia running away from the shower after terrifying visions/Karen reading in a warm bath. It's also interesting to note that Karen doesn't respond to the murders in a way someone who has been apart of it would. She thinks it's mass hysteria and wants no part of it.
Unless Alice has experienced memory loss than what? Also wouldn't someone have found it weird if Karen simply didn't have parents that she knew well and people seem to know her. They've know her as Karen for a long time so where would a past as Alice fit into all of it?
Why would Alice choose to follow her parents path given where it lead them; ruin. There would be a lot to answer if Alice survived that night such as why everyone, including her father who checked her pulse, thought she was dead despite knowing Henry was alive.
The age gap between Alice and Henry is also 3 years if she truly is 15. This is the same or a similar age gap as the one between Mike and Nancy. Holly's age gap from Mike is 9 years.

When I analysed my own reaction to Eps 1&2 of this season, I came to the same conclusion as you - At a subconscious level, I had cast TK as the protagonist and Carlos as the love interest. My intense discomfort to this season so far is definitely rooted in that.
But I don't think it's wrong/bad/a mistake that I ended up with that interpretation. I didn't do it on purpose. That's the way the story was told to me.
In the first two seasons, we learnt about TK's life, history, struggles, family. The only things we saw of Carlos is how he operated as TK's boyfriend. He stumbled sometimes but even those - a) were narrated in terms of how TK was affected and from TK's pov, and b) served as a vehicle to show how perfectly both men complemented each other, in strength and weaknesses. So, for me at least, I liked Carlos not because he was the perfect guy but because he seemed perfect for TK. It was romantic - after everything I knew TK had gone through, that he'd found someone as perfect for him as Carlos. We saw a bit of Carlos' individual traits in S3, but none of those qualities/patterns detracted from him being good for/with TK. When it came to choosing between his own discomfort or TK's wellbeing and happiness, Carlos always prioritised the latter, which may not have been fully realistic or healthy but again fed into my notion of him being the perfect LI for TK.
After the end of S3, I definitely wanted to know more about Carlos. But I realise now that, while I had been open to the idea of learning things I didn't know about him, I hadn't counted on the very basis of why I'd fallen for his character being questioned. So far in S4, what I've seen of Carlos does not make him appear like the 'perfect' fit for TK. His patterns of avoidance/repression are 100% understandable, make him so much more well-rounded as a character, but I suddenly find out that while he's currently not prioritising TK for understandable reasons, his patterns hadn't allowed him to do it in the past either, which was the opposite of what I'd known. And these patterns now open up the possibility of triggering TK's own insecurities about his loved ones hiding things from him.
It's felt a bit like whiplash, receiving this one piece of information that is suddenly making me look at everything differently. I have to get used to the idea of Carlos being more than just the perfect Love Interest. Which is fine, I'd love for his character to grow. But to claim that Carlos has always been more than just a Love Interest is, imo, false. I never got that sense at all in s1-3. Does Carlos (and for that matter all of the 126) deserve Main Character treatment? Absolutely. But that's a Now thing, which will take some getting used to. The audience will react according to how the writers have sold the story. It's perfectly fine to change the narrative, but there will be reactions and there's always a possibility that some people will never be able to fully wrap their heads around the new narrative. Which is also perfectly valid, imo, because that's not the story they thought they'd been following for 3 years now.
Wow. This is a lot and honestly really overwhelming.
First of all, you're very entitled to your opinion and the way you view the show - as am I.
If all you saw Carlos as though the seasons was a love interest for TK - that's fine, that's how you interpreted his character.
But I don't think that I'm false in seeing him as more than someone for TK to stick his dick into. If how each person views the show is valid, then how I personally view the show is valid too, right? Or does that not apply because I see Carlos as more than a love interest?
I get it, I do. We're not given very much about Carlos, he's 2-D and why should we care about him past TK wanting to fuck him? Because obviously that's what he's there for.
TK and Carlos are both wonderful characters. I love them both dearly and they both mean a lot to me in very different ways. To boil either of them down as a "love interest" isn't it. They are BOTH so much more than being a boyfriend to each other.
When I analysed my own reaction to Eps 1&2 of this season, I came to the same conclusion as you - At a subconscious level, I had cast TK as the protagonist and Carlos as the love interest. My intense discomfort to this season so far is definitely rooted in that.
I never cast Carlos as the love interest, I want that to be clear. I have stated that some parts fandom (maybe I wasn't clear on that) treats him like a love interest. You can ask my friends and check my blog, the way I write him, to see that he's never just been a love interest to me.
It's good you recognize that's where your discomfort comes from though. It's good to be self aware.
I didn't like the secret at first, I've admitted that and have been clear in that but it wasn't because I saw Carlos as some love interest. I felt it was OOC until I looked back at the seasons and analyzed them with this context.
But I don't think it's wrong/bad/a mistake that I ended up with that interpretation. I didn't do it on purpose. That's the way the story was told to me.
You are allowed to interpret the story the way you feel it was told to you. I interpreted the story differently. That's okay. Everyone has their own way of digesting media.
I disagree. I don't think Carlos was just shown as TK's boyfriend. We didn't get a lot of storyline with Carlos but we got some. When he was introduced he was introduced through Michelle - as Michelle's friend. He also had storylines - such as Bad Call where he let the guy go and then followed his gut to find TK when TNT had been kidnapped. We have gotten plenty of glimpses of him being more than just a love interest for TK.
I don't think he's ever just "served as a vehicle to show how perfectly both men complemented each other, in strength and weaknesses"
Carlos has never been perfect. It has been shown he's not perfect. For example, season 2 when he wasn't upfront with TK about his parents. That's not a perfect boyfriend. It was a bad move and kind of shitty.
I agree that Carlos, most often throughout the seasons, has prioritized TK's comfort but, again, I don't think this boiled him down to a love interest. It was glimpses of his character and who was/is as a person.
Carlos doesn't need to be perfect to be a valid match for TK. His patterns of avoidance have always been here and clear to see, not just in season 4. Again, the episode with his parents.
I agree that I am glad they're making him more well rounded. It's a shame it took 4 seasons to do that.
I'm glad people are uncomfortable with Carlos being more of a person. I'm glad it's challenging how people view him. Because people have put him in a role he hasn't always been in. People have projected onto him like crazy and they should be challenged for their views.
Media is more entertaining when it challenges assumptions.
Like you said, that's your opinion and clearly we have been watching the show and digesting if very differently.
Carlos has never been just a love interest to me. From the beginning he's been more. He's one of my favorite characters. He's always been more than "TK's person."
How people perceive a story and make it make sense in their own thoughts that they are entitled to. Their. interpretation of the story is not wrong.
Neither is mine. I don't appreciate my views being labeled as "false" because they don't match up with yours or anyone else's. I'm more than willing to have a discussion about the show, how views differ, etc.

Why I feel Alice’s Dobermon was poorly written.
Tumblr media
The most disappointing thing about Alice's Dobermon from tamers to me honestly is Dobermon's lack of character. Specifically how little personality he's given outside of just being there to give the tamers the ability to matrix evolve/biomerge in the real world. I genuinely struggle to come up with any actual character traits Dobermon has other than serious... I guess? I dunno this digimon partner is so underwritten and lacking in screentime that I wouldn't be making this rant if he was given an actual personality and character outside of being a plot device. Speaking of the tamers inability to matrix evolve/biomerge in the real world plotline, I might just be illiterate but anyone else feel like that plot point adds very little to tamers overall story, themes and characters (specifically the tamers themselves) since you could remove it and you'd lose basically nothing in terms of the things I just mentioned? I'm having a hard time remembering what the actual point of that plot point even was other than arbitrarily adding stakes that would've still been there if you removed said plotline (I would like to be corrected on this part of the rant). Meaning that Dobermon only exists for a plot point that doesn't have much reason to even be there in the first place and even then if I’m wrong (which I likely am) it certainly wasn’t to the benefit of Dobermon’s lack of character. It also makes Dobermon's sacrifice feel poorly handled since we barely got to know him and thus makes it difficult to feel sad for his death which is ironic since it comes after Juri/Jeri’s Leomon's death from the same exact season which didn't have any of the same problems since we actually got to know Leomon and he was given a personality outside of getting killed by Beelzebumon/Beelzemon such as starting off as being a loner but grew to be more protective of Juri/Jeri overtime while also being loyal, steadfast, brave etc.
Tumblr media
I know making a rant like this seems excessive for what's basically a one off side character especially when you compare him to a more major side character like Juri/Jeri’s Leomon but considering but Dobermon was still important to the plot thread about the main characters inability to matrix evolve/biomerge in the real world means I think I can still criticise Dobermon for how poorly he fits his role in that point in tamers' story and I needed an example of a more effective death scene anyways. Anyways that was my unnecessarily long rant why I think a one off side character from a children's monster collecting anime was poorly written and why I feel his death wasn't well written and why it's so difficult to feel sad when he died. Rant over I guess it probably wasn’t even that well thought out anyways.

If Disgaea Characters had Arcana Pt. 2
Tumblr media
((This is Part 2 of a multiparter topic. If you haven't seen Pt 1 yet, please go check it out first, then come back here. If you have or just don't care then well...let's get on with it then.
Tumblr media
Moving onto Disgaea 2, we now have Adell and Rozalin. As much as I want to cover them separately, I think this time it would be more interesting to cover the both of them. Reason I say this is because I think these two would qualify for the Sun and Moon Arcana respectively. The Sun Arcana represents happiness, vitality, and optimism. While Adell isn't exactly the most cheerful person around, he loves doing things his own way and he does help spread some positivity around. Granted, it's usually when it comes to Rozalin whenever she's upset, but let's not forget how he's the one who talked Yukimaru out of taking her own life when he defeated her in the colosseum, or when he encouraged the player to befriend Rozalin in Disgaea 5 so she won't feel so lonely, and even in Disgaea 6 when he was ready to befriend Zed after one fight with him. It also helps that a good portion of Personas are fire based, including Vulcanus, which happens to be the persona of Tatsuya Suou, the main character of Persona 2: Innocent Sin. As for Rozalin, the Moon Arcana represents doubts and fears taking over the mind and clouding one's judgement, usually leading to isolation if not dealt with. That fits Rozalin to a T as she is constantly haunted by her memories of her past life as well as her questionable relationship with Fake Zenon as her father. As I said earlier, this resulted in Rozalin feeling emotionally isolated from everyone even among her closest companions, hence the term "A being of Solitude". It's also interesting to point out that Maya Amano, the protagonist of Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, is also a representative of the Moon Arcana.
Tumblr media
Now I know what you're thinking. "Tink is literally just this game's version of Teddie, so he's easily the Star Arcana". Eh...not quite. Don't get me wrong, Tink and Teddie share A LOT of similar traits, but they do differ a bit in personality. Teddie is more arguably innocent and upbeat most of the time, while Tink has a split personality, one that's polite and respectful like a butler and another that's crude, perverse, and raunchy. As such, I think it would actually be more fitting for Tink to represent the Fortune Arcana.
Tumblr media
Axel on the other hand, I can totally see representing the Magician Arcana. He is rather unique given his wide range of talents as the dark hero, like somehow playing the flute expertly while talking and laughing at the same time. Plus like Junpei Iori and Yosuke Hanamura, he has mainly stuck as the comic relief role in the series and he is rather boastful about his talents like Morgana. In fact, if he was a character in a modern Persona game, the only thing he would be missing is an attempt at a relationship going wrong.
Tumblr media
I honestly have a tough time thinking about which Arcana would actually suit Taro. While he's not exactly that much of a coward, he is more on the passive side compared to others. He doesn't respect Adell all that much and wants to become a good vassal for Rozalin. At best, I can probably see an argument for the Temperance Arcana, which is represents moderation. The "go with the flow" kind of deal.
Tumblr media
Hanako on the other hand, is the Chariot. She has a major "can do" attitude and won't stop at anything until she accomplishes her goal of becoming a powerful demon lord. She even went so far as to summon her future self just to see what she would be like after accomplishing it.
Tumblr media
In another case of Irony, Yukimaru could be Strength. While it sure didn't start out this way when she was first introduced, after meeting with Adell she has found resolve to accomplish a task and to do so alive. And with this newfound resolve did she become stronger than before, as indicated when she mastered Midare Fubuki near the end of the game.
Tumblr media
Fubuki on the other hand, is definitely the Hanged Man. Between him and Yukimaru, he's more gun-ho on giving up his life if it means finishing his mission. Not only that, but he's more willing to resort to attack others if they're in his path, like trying to kill Rozalin to get to Zenon. In his own words "A ninja will use any hand". Now granted he has matured since then, but I don't think he has fully given up the concept of the need of sacrifice if the time comes for it. At least now, he strikes me as the big bro that would die in battle if it means his little sister would make it out okay. Then again, I can also hear arguments for him being the Justice Arcana.
Tumblr media
You're probably expecting Fake Zenon to be the Judgement Arcana or something along those lines since he's the final boss. Not really. In my eyes, he represents Emperor. He's very authoritative and has done quite a bit to get the status he has on Veldime. It's heinous actions, but still. Now if you want someone in this game representing the Judgement Arcana,
Tumblr media
look no further than the REAL Zenon. Her second awakening at the end of the game is when Rozalin's memories start flooding back to her, meaning her past and present selves are now together at that moment and the amount of Adell's felonies placed on him will determine the ending of the game. She COULD also represent the death arcana as this also symbolizes Rozalin not fully healing from her past, thus preventing her from fully enjoying the great new wonderful things that comes in her life.
Tumblr media
Mao is an interesting case honestly because there are actually a few Arcana that he fits the bill for. The Fool, Emperor, Devil, Hermit, and Tower. Like Laharl, he is authoritative and has struggled A LOT before he became the new Dean of Evil Academy and both Devil and Tower would represent his relationship with his butler, Geoffry. Because of years of being manipulated by Geoffry, Mao was nothing but powerless as he plays right into his hands at almost every turn as part of his ultimate plan to have the ultimate battle. To say that Mao's mind was a mess because of Geoffry is an understatement. And finally Hermit as unlike Laharl, Mao doesn't really struggle all that much with solitude. In fact, he has his own oath about it. That being said, simply because of the fact that he fits so many different arcana and given how impressionable he is at times, it does make the most sense to have Mao be our first Fool Arcana.
Tumblr media
Raspberyl would probably be the Lovers Arcana, and no I'm not saying that because she has the same English voice as Rise Kujikawa from Persona 4...though that does help. Raspberyl highly values her bonds with her companions, including her rivalry with Mao. After all, she was the first to reach out to him when he started giving in to his hidden dark powers around the second or third time and she was the only one to do so in the game's worst ending. That being said, she has acted rather carelessly sometimes, like not paying attention to Kyoko and Asuka's envy of her interacting with others or getting Mao to pull a role reversal and become a delinquent thinking she resorted back to her honor student ways. I can also see arguments for her being the priestess Arcana as she was the only one in the group that questioned Aurum's actions during the worst ending in the game and was right to do so even though it was already too late to stop him.
Tumblr media
Almaz would be the Strength Arcana. Despite his cowardly nature, especially in the beginning of Disgaea 3, Almaz does his best to try to help others because he wants to become a hero one day. It is through his courage and determination to help those in need like Mao and Sapphire that he was able to do things he normally wouldn't do otherwise like sacrifice himself or opening Mao's heart.
Tumblr media
Speaking of his wife, Sapphire would be the Star Arcana. Sapphire is also supportive and encourages Almaz to be better, prime example is when she punched him when he tried to use her as an excuse to try to ditch Mao when his mind reverted to that of a toddler. She also has no issues helping Mao and Beryl if needed, especially Beryl. She is a loyal companion as long as you don't give her a reason to kill you like becoming an evil tyrant that kidnaps princesses. Plus I think we can all agree that having your crush come back to life after he sacrificed himself for you is a clear sign that the universe is working in your favor.
Tumblr media
Mr. Champloo gets the Sun Arcana with ease. He is very passionate about his profession as a chef and teacher, always eager to train others to become quality chefs themselves or simply help them walk the path of life. This is why Almaz looks up to Mr. Champloo as his master even though Almaz hasn't done any cooking whatsoever in the game, because his teachings apply to more than just cooking.
Tumblr media
Master Bigstar would be Temperance. He's probably among one of the most well balanced characters in the series thus far as he knows how to act as both a leader and a follower whenever the time comes for it. Plus, he's not exactly someone that gets that upset even in the most dire situations like during a losing battle or missing the letter "a" in his name. He takes them seriously, but rarely does he ever panic.
Tumblr media
Yeah, I don't care that she's a woman, Salvatore gets the Emperor Arcana with ease. She's far more authoritative than Mao as she gives off crazy commands to anyone she sees as below her rank, even if they happen to be enemy forces. This along with her trying to find her womanliness in Disgaea 3's post game kinda seals the deal for me on this spot.
Tumblr media
And now to end this part with Super Hero Aurum, and big shocker, he's Judgement. He's the final boss of the game, his reveal forces Mao to fully confront his past of watching Aurum kill his father in front of him as well as realizing he has been betrayed twice by the same person and how Mao handles it determines either the worst or best ending of the game.
Like I said, this is my take on this. Let me know your thoughts and stay tuned for the next part.))

rsurrek said here: Thanks for the reply! This was honestly rlly enlightening. Agreed that dilucs neutral stance is so hard to read. At the beginning, I thought that his voice line about kaeya implied that he didn’t trust kaeya and it was somehow tied to the reveal of the “truth”. But knowing that diluc still cared about kaeya to keep tabs about him and to work with the knights during the event kinda contradicts that. Imo now it just looks like a complaint abt kaeya making up stories lmao. Like telling the traveler his eyepatch was inherited or making it seem he was blind in that eye by wearing one in the first place
Yeah! That’s the impression that I got as well! His voiceline is actually similar to other characters’ voicelines about Kaeya, nobody thinks that he’s an actual suspicious/dangerous person, only that he’s too fond of tricks, pranks and dramatic lies.  So at worst Diluc is mildly annoyed at Kaya’s antics, but considering how in the comic he literally let himself get arrested by the Knights to be given over to the Fatui all because Kaeya planned it like that, he must hold a significant amount of trust in him still.  This is a bit confusing if we imagine that Kaeya revealed some terrible information about himself before their fight, which is why I think it must have happened for a more emotional and personal reason rather than Diluc honestly doing a 180 from their previous close relationship and viewing Kaeya as an actual threat to Mondstadt’s safety. If Diluc viewed Kaeya as a potentially ‘corrupt soul’ or ‘evil' or some other thing he likes saying, he would either judge him accordingly or at least would act in a more conflicted manner. But so far it seems that the only beef he still has with Kaeya is that Kaeya remained a Knight of Favonius! Which is kind of understandable, but also short-sighted on his part - if Kaeya were to leave the Knights then the whole structure would almost fall apart, he and Jean are doing most of the work. Plus most importantly it’s the only thing officially tying Kaeya to Mondstadt. It would be one thing if Kaeya could rely on Diluc to welcome him back into his life in case he quit his job, but without that certainty the Knights are the only tether he has to the city (this is part of the reason why I have this headcanon that Kaeya was already slowly pulling away from Ragnvindrs before Crepus’s death so as not to feel so guilty over having to betray their expectations in the future, but then once Crepus died he decided to stay with Mond and held on to the Knights with an iron grip for that reason). But that fits into the main aspect of their current relationship which is that Diluc doesn’t understand Kaeya at all. In the comic he was angry and irritable when Kaeya came to visit him in his manor, clearly expecting Kaeya to use his position as a Knight against him.   Then in his character quest he once again thought that Kaeya was going to out him as the Darknight Hero to ‘get back at him’. Even though none of this makes any sense for Kaeya to do, so...  And in last year’s summer event he was surprised that Kaeya still remembered their seashell gathering - although missing the past is one of Kaeya’s core traits. Basically Diluc clearly just doesn’t know about Kaeya’s fixation with him, he is just this oblivious.  And it’s still unclear whether he even thinks about Kaeya that much and if he has a similar emotional attachment or not. Like, he probably does considering how tsundere he acted about the vase, but. Otherwise he tends to rebuff his attempts at conversation, and in current event we can see the contrast between his treatment of the Traveler and Kaeya - both of them are working with Diluc to help deal with the ley lines, but while Diluc gifted the Traveler some super elite grape juice and invited them to dinner, Kaeya is turned away from the manor, not given any gifts, not invited for dinner. Maybe I misunderstood something about ‘making a difficult situation even more complicated’, but it seems to be just that Diluc doesn’t want a Knight of Favonius spending this much time at the winery while they’re cooperating on a joint task so as not to raise suspicions?... Idk, this doesn’t seem like a good enough reason to me considering how often Kaeya spends time around him and the winery anyway.  Also, it almost feels like Diluc is sublimating his relationship with Kaeya by leaning onto the Traveler this much, but he could be a bit nicer about it. He is also laser-focused on his goals and convictions, so maybe he puts Kaeya out of his mind on purpose, otherwise those thoughts get too distracting. And as long as Kaeya is physically fine he thinks there’s no actual problem to solve, they’re fine and that’s it.

just binged the sewell legacy and i love it. anyway would it be rude to ask for some of your headcanons for some the characters?
Not rude in the slightest!! I love getting asks looking for more details, it's hard to fit all the little things I have in my mind into posts so this is a great way for me to share them.
Your ask also made me realize it might be worthwhile to make a tag for asks like this where I've given away story details that aren't published. I went back and edited all the posts I could find like that and attached the sewellbitsandbobs tag. I'll try to find a good place for that to live on my blog soon. I have some blog cleaning to do unfortunately. Okay, for headcanons I'm just going to share some of the background on the sims that may or may not be obvious or mentioned, I hope that's what you're looking for. I'm putting it under a cut because this will get long...
Violet is a gloomy sims, that's one of her traits, and gave that to her because her mother died when she was a toddler and she was raised alone by her father on Deadgrass Isle. Another one of her traits is that she is a bookworm, and I gave that to her because I imagined that she read a lot as a child on the island. Her father was the lighthouse keeper so she was often alone. She learned to cook and keep the house at a young age as well. She was pretty lonely out there which is why she was so happy to marry Hamish and his large family. Her aspiration is Soulmate, and her last trait is romantic, and I always saw her as this hopeless romantic who was kind of swept off her feet by this handsome confident farmers son and that she was very happy to be able to leave the island. She loves her father, but she wanted more for her life.
Hamish is one of my most underrated characters in my mind, I don't focus on him as much, but I feel like he's one of my favorite characters. I almost see him as this sweet jock type guy. Jock might sound weird because he doesn't ever do anything particularly active in game, but I feel like farming is the early 20th century version of that. But he also has a really sharp mind and loves reading too, he also has the bookworm trait, he loves reading magazines and periodicals to learn about farming. I picture him as totally into the new scientific edge to farming that was happening at this time, he always wants to do the newest, best scientific method. He and Violet bonded over their shared love of reading. I imagine that they met one day when Violet came to the main land on an errand with her father and she and Hamish met at the general store or market and then they began writing to each other. I don't think they had honestly spent much time together in person when they got married.
Willy is a bit more amorphous for me, but I feel like that makes sense as he's a teen and teens are a bit more amorphous. At his heart he's just a very sweet guy, loves his family, always wants to help out. But he's starting to feel a little stifled under the expectations of his parents and he's not sure how to become his own independent self. But he's not told either of his parents about these feelings at all, so he hasn't given them a chance to try to help him at all. During this period in history there was a big exodus from the country to the city, and while I don't think Willy will live in the city, I think the fact that people are beginning to much more frequently live farther from their birthplace is affecting him. He has a really fun journey ahead and I am so excited to showcase it.
Freddy is definitely a bit less fleshed out, he's kind of a loner and he just prefers to play by himself or read or do his schoolwork. He has the genius trait and I always kind of picture him as kind of aloof and not very friendly. Not like mean, but just not a thoughtful guy, like he always just wants to get to the point. He's off at school currently and he'll definitely end up in a more academic career, but I'm not sure which one yet. I have multiple ideas for that and haven't figured out which one is best really. He's mostly concerned with himself, I wouldn't say he's overly selfish, but he's not very family-minded.
Elsie is still pretty young, so I don't really know what she's like completely, but I think she's going to be a bit hot-headed and quick to rush into things. Like she's very much a ask forgiveness rather than permission kind of girl. She has two older brothers, so she's also not very girly. Definitely probably in a bit of a tomboy phase currently. I don't know if that will last into her adulthood, but we'll see! She's a very loving person though, and will defend those that she loves intensely, she's super protective of Charlie.
Charlie's still a baby and I have no idea what he will be like, his personality hasn't really come through yet.
I'll also give some background on their world and neighborhood.
I have this save set up in Brindleton Bay, they're living in the Sable Square neighborhood at the end. The farm across from them is where Hamish grew up. It's been bought by a new family now that it was sold. There's also a church and a schoolhouse in this neighborhood as well as a church house.
In my world its walking distance to the other neighborhoods in the world, so the Whiskerman's Wharf serves as the downtown/docks area, and there's a train station and some shops there. I do switch out builds as needed, and there's a smithy there as well.
Cavalier Cove is meant to be the outskirts of town with a couple small farms and fishing cottages, and some wild areas, as well as a new hotel. New England started becoming a huge tourist destination around this time period and as someone that deals with New England tourists alllllll summer I really wanted to bring that to my story.
Deadgrass Isle doesn't have anything but a lighthouse keepers house and the Brindleton Head Light. I imagine that the lighthouse keepers house was built by Violet's father before she was born so that his wife could live with them on the island, and that prior to that the keeper only had a small cottage attached directly to the light. Thank you so much for this ask, I love talking about my character's, its so fun! If there's anything more specific you, or anyone else, would like to know always feel free to send me asks, I love answering them.

I finished watching (meaning I may or may not have skimmed the most enjoyable parts of) a playthrough of Danganronpa V3 (without having seen D2)
MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW (there’s no ambiguity here lol also please mute the tags below for this game in the future if you do not want spoilers for it on this blog)
ngl totally because of the Saiouma art I’ve been seeing, and I’m, probably predictably, utterly caught by Kokichi’s character, specifically his end.
But I’m also forming ideas and comparisons to how Venti could act in a genre like that to Kokichi (because of course I am).
It’s an extreme personality compared to Venti, but it’s also an extreme genre, so I like to think that I can take notes on Kokichi to consider Venti in such a situation.
Kokichi’s three extreme traits:
Pathological liar alluded to be out of necessity/because of his background
Selfish (perceived as and literally) as shown by Gonta’s trial, heavily suggested to be “secretly” helpful to classmates
Martyr
Venti’s traits that could be taken to the extreme to reflect Kokichi’s:
Wordsmith (I wouldn’t call him a direct liar but I think he knows how to control a conversation and likely avoids some topics—Celestia—out of necessity)
Perceived as selfish, strongly cares for his citizens (his children) and typically performs in secretive ways to help them
Death fla—Willing to step in as an archon in dire cases
And there’s more, too:
Kokichi, a leader of a small, petty crime organization that he lies is larger than it actually is, is given a motivation video that is about his other nine members that he’s come to love as family. The video also specifies his organization is against killing.
Venti, as the archon of his people that he loves dearly, canonically is a bit of a mischievous god that’s solved issues through his tricks, and he is, at least, suggested to avoid physical fights/violence.
Kokichi masquerades himself by pretending to be scarier than he actually is while Venti is arguably speculated to make himself appear weaker than he actually is.
Kokichi acts childish (could argue it is because he is a teen but everyone comments on it lol), and Venti does, too.
All right, now that my stronger argument is over, let’s just recast the entire cast while I’m at it with much less “evidence.”
Kaede Akamatsu — Lumine. Aside from their similar looks, I think Lumine’s actual actions in game suit Kaede’s in game as well, to having gentle, curious personalities with a headcanoned headstrong personality for Lumine and Kaede’s actual leader-like qualities. Kaede is also one of the most unique main characters because of the actions she takes in game, so Lumine being this traveler from another world with strange abilities adds to their likeness.
Maki Harukawa — Rosaria. Tell me this isn’t too fitting. Maki pretends to be the Ultimate Child Caregiver, something that really doesn’t fit her personality (cough Rosaria pretending to be a nun cough), but she’s actually the Ultimate Assassin. Yeah, that’s Rosaria.
Kaito Momota — Honestly, this one is pretty tough despite the amount of characters in Genshin that fall into the personality of “believing in friends.” I could see Amber as a base personality for him because she both has a boisterous presence and a strong belief in friendships that has changed other characters (Collei, Eula). Itto even has that loud side of him that can quickly get defensive if one of his friends is attacked that’d suit Kaito as well.
The really difficult part to pin down in a Genshin character is who could be pushed into assisted suicide for Kaito’s endgame actions.
I’m gonna be honest… I don’t know.
Ryoma Hoshi — Cyno or Yelan. Cyno has that short stature, and strangely I think Cyno getting disheartened, believing he has no one, after being a source of inspiration to others is fitting to his actual story in Genshin. And his voice absolutely fits, too, in that he’d take people by surprise by how he sounds.
Yelan also fits this imo as she absolutely seems like the type to believe she has no one, and she has a sort of attitude along the lines of “if no one else will, I will” in terms of dying. She definitely gives off the vibe of hanging in the back while picking up on things quickly, a sort of cool attitude, so these two characters are my suggestion for Ryoma.
Himiko Yumeno — This character is hard to place because I almost feel like she has more than one “potential” and it depends if you want to settle this independently by individuality or not. By that, I mean consider Tenko and Angie’s relationship to Himiko, and then Himiko’s individual personality.
So here are my potentials:
Diona. I almost feel like their personalities are super similar where Diona would insist on something to the point of being detrimental to a trial or she would accuse a random character to shift blame off herself. She also has some sort of magician thing going on where she literally can’t make a bad drink, so there’s the small connection to Himiko’s talent.
Qiqi. Low energy. Repetitive arguments where instead of it being “her magic,” it’s that she forgot. Easy to manipulate into Angie’s cult.
Fischl. Fischl has pretty high energy, but she also insists on a fantasy concept similar to Himiko, so I could see that being a strong connection for them.
Tenko Chabashira — Keqing. Keqing has no strong hate for men, but her kind of subtle tsundere personality feels most suiting for Tenko, as well as the gentle moments with Tenko also feel like it fits Keqing and her rarer soft side. Plus, if you made Himiko as Ganyu because of their low energy moments, then it fits even more as a duo because of Keqing’s extreme protectiveness of Ganyu (…not that Ganyu fits Himiko that well on that note).
Gonta Gokuhara — I wanna make this Itto for size and lovable personality alone. But strangely it fits! So he’s the big guy that has a tough time keeping up in trials but you can’t help but love him. Itto’s a little more animated, but he’s still a pretty good fit.
Kiibo (K1-B0) — Gorou. Like, 100%, they have eerily similar personalities and characteristics that would stand out (furry ears and tail vs robot). It’s not robophobic, it’s not furryphobic! LOL. They’re both kind of gullible, but they have strong desires to help others, and I really could see these two switch places. Well, idk how well Keebo would be as a leader, but he would be an impeccable caretaker because he’s very sweet. (You could technically, probably, make Chongyun another fitting role for Keebo with his exorcist abilities being the thing that stands out and then put Xingqiu as some kind of stand-in for Kokichi’s teasing.)
Rantaro Amami — I’m so sorry, but doesn’t he kind of fit Heizou with his suave way of talking, kind of chill personality, and curious nature? Heizou, also, kind of, feels fitting to be the first character to be murdered. I, uh, I can’t explain that one so if you know, you know.
Korekiyo Shinguji — Forgive me, but Kamisato Ayato… really. Really fits.
Yep, everything.
Yes, the sister complex, included. Could—could you imagine… never mind.
Anyway, it’s an extreme game with extreme characters so why not dial up Ayato’s into the twisted anthropologist. The talent might not quite fit him, but his knowledge, desire to observe in order to then react, and his eventual in-game kills being two separate characters with one very detailed set up is just too good for it to suit any normal Genshin character, so try Ayato out with his probable cutthroat techniques, and I see a connection. Not just… not just because he has a sister.
(Suited more for his talent and need for observance, you could also put Albedo here and try really hard to ignore the sister thing, because otherwise it would fit Albedo’s character, disregarding the whole “kehehe” thing. You’re welcome for that image.)
Kirumi Tojo — I know Noelle technically fits the Ultimate Maid talent to the T, but I actually really like Shenhe for this stand-in. Personality-wise, she really fits Kirumi as they’re both rather stoic and analytical, and I could see Shenhe identifying the weakest target to take out if she felt the need to get out.
(Thoma, strangely, might also be a good option to consider as he fits the maid role. He doesn’t have that stoic personality, but I could see his motivation video relating to the Kamisato family as they’re a very important family, and I feel Thoma has a cutthroat side of him that could come into play in extreme circumstances—like a death game.)
Shuichi Saihara — Who else fits main character energy better than main characters? Saihara’s growth from an unconfident mess to someone more assertive, bold, and fluidity in being someone that looks between facts and belief in people is perfect for characters with rather ambiguous energy in their characteristics, aka main characters like Aether. Aether has a headcanoned personality of being a bit shyer than his sister, Lumine, so Lumine fitting Kaede and Aether as Shuichi is a really nice combination.
However, don’t mind me making a bit of a stretch to fit Xiao into this role, too.
A huge thing about Shuichi is his character growth: he starts as someone afraid to accuse others because of his past, but he’s rather intuitive once he gets the confidence to do it.
Look at Xiao’s character growth now: he’s never been a shy, stuttering mess of nerves, but he’s had difficulty expressing his true feelings because of his stance on himself as a person—seeing himself as a weapon. In recent events, we’ve seen a calmer, kinder, more open Xiao as he expresses his feelings better, and he’s really grown from where he started.
His path is similar to Shuichi in that sense, even if their personalities tend to differ. Although, I think you can make an argument that Shuichi’s assertiveness matches Xiao’s in the later game both in Genshin and DV3.
(Also Xiaoven and Saiouma are OTPs of mine, so I just love the potential dynamic.)
Kokichi Oma — I did make an argument above for Venti, which I still would put here, but I just want to point out Kaeya’s potential in mixing truths and lies as well and him already holding a personality that can both get on others’ nerves (Dilucdilucdilucdiluc) and be charming at the same time. Kokichi is less charming in game while Kaeya is said to charm grandmas, but if Kaeya was put into DV3 specifically, I could see his personality switching to fit the role. He’s fascinating like that. (And then making Shuichi as Albedo kind of works then because of Albedo’s natural inclination to look at the facts, first. His growth would likely follow being able to show emotions rather than learning to be assertive, kind of an opposite journey from Shuichi’s.)
Also Hu Tao. Hu Tao could absolutely be Kokichi because she’s a social pariah already in game and she’d be the one to make a comment that catches everyone off guard. It’s kinda base level, but I can still totally see it.
Scaramouche. I don’t think this one needs to be explained much, if at all, because a morally grey villain is a morally grey villain and Scaramouche fits Kokichi’s personality way too well. Like waaaaaay too well. The one point that differs is their motivations imo, as Kokichi acts more as the antihero and Scaramouche was definitely a villain at one point. (Make Nahida Shuichi because Nahida even needed her own confidence boost before she started filling her archon role well, and it makes even more sense to put Scaramouche here.)
Miu Iruma — canNOT tell you the difficulty I had in matching someone to Miu with all her traits in mind. MIU. God, I love her.
So, here’s my thinking:
Mona. She’s got a personality that comes off as confident until she isn’t. She’s super, super useful and knowledgeable about one thing (astrology) that would be very helpful in a game like DV3, like how Miu is very helpful with her talent as Ultimate Inventor.
The only thing… is that mouth of Miu’s is SO hard to see with Mona.
From the very, very little I know about him, perhaps Kaveh would fit this role for the reasons above but also because I could see Miu’s mouth on Kaveh.
(I wanna put Lisa here so bad but their personalities DO NOT fit DESPITE.)
Angie Yonaga — it’d be really, really funny if I put Barbara here just for that religious obsession connection. Can you imagine Barbara as a cult leader?
Anyway.
Here’re some options:
Candace. Really, there’s not a lot here but their voices have that same vibe of being soft and chill, and I see that side to both that just seems like they could be a cult leader because of their ability to pull people in with their mother-like gentleness. Otherwise, they both would want to stop the killing game at any means necessary, even if it means controlling other students’ actions to their (the students’) utter annoyance.
Lisa. This is kind of hard to imagine but Lisa gives off the almost maternal vibe that Angie does, and I do see Lisa as a persuasive figure that could draw in others for her affectionate nature with the end goal of protecting them from the killing game. The religious thing is the hardest trait to connect.
Yae Miko. Again, with a very ‘caring’ personality that has a darker side to it used for manipulation. Instead of Yae actually believing in some higher power, I just see straight manipulation with the goal of protection. She’s also easy to imagine riling up others for her tactics.
Tsumugi Shirogane — Sucrose (Sorry, Sucrose). Bruh, she gives off plain, innocent girl vibes that would totally cosplay but she’s got an evil side to her 100%. What does she DO to the hilichurls.
Okay but weirdly I can also see Yun Jin as her. Theater and cosplay don’t quite go hand in hand but the acting part does, and Yun Jin has a smug emote that I forgot about that looks like Yae Miko’s and Albedo’s and thus. She’s got an evil side to her. She also acts very helpful, she’s not quite as timid as Tsumugi imo but she would be able to put on a performance at the end.
I’m a little unfamiliar with Sumeru personalities because my game hates cutscenes right now, so I’m tentative on putting Sumeru characters in here. That being said, I’ve, like, never played a hangout, so there could be some wild characterizations in here, too. Lemme know what you think!
It’s Sucrose.
