i will forever defend eren with my life. i will forever defend HIM, eren, not his actions. i will forever defend eren !!

it was clear to us that the cycle of oppression would continue despite eren’s conclusion (committing genocide). when he lived in eldia, behind the walls, him and the rest of his comrades truly believed that humanity outside of the walls was pure, a goodness that none of them had ever experienced as they’d been fighting against humanoid giants that sat at the top of the food-chain, fighting EACH OTHER, even, in the underground, simply to live. in their eyes, the world beyond the walls was peace, a life full of freedom.

when it was revealed that there was a divide between the marleyans/rest of the world and the eldians, all hope had been lost. when it was revealed that the marleyans were the ones subjecting the islanders to be titan-food instead of saving them, reconciling with them, just because of something their ancestors had done that they had no recollection of, all hope had been disintegrated.

i will never understand the love for marley and the idea that both sides were as bad as each other. it’s stupid and dumb, and here’s why:

eldians were the ones that started it.

fine, agreed because king fritz was evil as fuck.

but by that logic, because eldians were the ones that started the war, years ago (might i add), shouldn’t the entire world be at war with EACH OTHER than with eldia?

the eldians that the marleyans were oppressing and abusing now had nothing to do with what their ancestors had done before.

so, using that logic that marleyans had the right to do what they’d done to the current eldians, shouldn’t south asians declare war against the current british for what they had done to their people BEFORE? shouldn’t the few native americans left declare war on the europeans because their ancestors had committed heinous crimes against their people? shouldn’t women from korea, china, vietnam, and more, punish current japanese men for what their ancestors had done to the past women of their countries in ww2?

see what i’m saying? why were marleyans punishing the current eldians for what their ancestors had done? something that they had no control over?

eren wanted a world where they didn’t have to fight for basic human rights. genocide is never the answer, but the scene where he grabs hange by her clothes and demands to know what other plan there is as a substitute proves his desperation: that he never wanted to kill so many people, that there was simply no other way. eldians would never be accepted in the outside world, no matter how hard they tried to convince them.

we also have to remember that he was up against the clock too. if they didn’t find a solution soon, he would have died anyway due to the 13 years he had to live. by the time his plan was set in stone, he only had 4 more years to live and the scouts didn’t really have a solid plan. they lived with the outside world, undercover, and never actually managed to find a solution that benefited everyone.

Talking to @levi-ackerman-ds about how Kristina would be absolutely horrified the first time she sees Zeke being milked of his Spinal Fluid.

It's not enough that Marley is using children and the Eldians for their stupid war; she has to suffer seeing the first Eldian friend she made go through this spinal fluid extraction just so that the Eldians can be weaponized.

Leaves a bitter taste in her mouth that she can't do anything about it. Well, not right now at least. Not alone.

AoT Warriors At A Family Gathering

Annie

is the only one to watch TV playing in the background

whenever a quarrel breaks out (as it frequently does), Annie secretly records it on her phone

abysmally poor in acting out charades so her teammates always have a hard time guessing whatever word Annie is trying to show with her lack-luster movements

when setting up to snap a group pic, Annie gives the next-standing person bunny ears - usually it's Pieck since they are both standing at the front due to their height

Bertholdt

comes a couple of hours early to help with preparations because he knows what havoc certain warriors can bring

also brings baked goods from home for everyone to enjoy

gets into an argument with Porco about some conspiracy theory but will immediately back down as soon as their conversation becomes heated (mainly because of Porco since he can't keep his disagreement to himself)

when playing games, Bert often teams up with Annie and Reiner since it'd be the most versatile team and up to any task - that means, Bert often has to fight Gabi to get Reiner on his team

Colt

offers up his parents' place (since they left the city for the holidays) for the gathering - everything to win over the likes of the cool kids as Colt sees the warriors

always makes sure that everyone's plate and glass is full and frequently goes back and forth between the kitchen and the main room to bring more food

prepares a bunch of games/activities for the guests and gets very upset if the warriors don't show due interest to it

when playing games, Colt wants to be on the same team as Zeke but ends up being mostly a dead weight since Zeke'd be the main brain power

Falco

very displeased that the gathering is taking place at their home

greets each guest at the entrance to explain the rules of the household expecting that these rules are to be followed - in reality, Falco is too mild for policing the guests and enforcing the order so he opts to appear slightly annoyed whenever things aren't going his way

follows every suspicious person (aka Gabi, Porco and Zeke) around the house to prevent any damage to the property they may cause

eventually Falco warms up to the guests and becomes an active participant in the discussions, although he tries a bit too hard to get them to talk - mainly, he tries to strike up conversation with the most untalkative person at the table aka Annie with little success and gets a bit discouraged by her coldness

Gabi

learns that Falco would also be attending the gathering and convinces Reiner to let her tag along

Gabi just has to try every dish at the table and eat all of the dessert - at one point, Reiner had to pull her aside and tell her to leave some for the others

plays Wii sports with Porco - turns out, they are both shit-talkers so every match they have is a cacophany of boasting and insults

would fight Falco if she finds out that he's been intentionally losing to her in the games so that she could win because Gabi finds it incredibly belittling

Pieck

brings most of the alcohol since she knows there won't be any that she'll like

if the warriors decide to play a trivia game, Pieck is automatically forbidden from teaming up with Zeke or else those two would be too powerful in their random knowledge and easily win each time

would probably fuck with everyone by sneaking her way to electric panel and turn on and off the power supply repeatedly

sticks around till the end of the gathering to help with the cleaning (and also to eat the leftovers and drink up the remaining booze)

Porco

greets the kids with a handshake like adults and leaves commentary about the firmness of their handshakes

while playing Wii with Gabi, Porco crashes into the firniture multiple times trying to catch a virtual ball

blocks Reiner out of the group photo by standing right in front of him or accidentally lifting up his arm to cover Reiner's face

Porco is basically looking for a verbal fight since every now and then he'd insert an extremely controversial thesis into the dialogue canvas in hopes it'd spark the continuation of the conversation

Reiner

spends an unhealthy amount of time talking to Colt about Gabi and Falco discussing their recent achievements - mostly it's Colt talking at Reiner and Reiner agreeing with whatever statement Colt is putting out for him

finds an old table for table football and spends the majority of his time around the thing, playing by himself or occasionally having matches with Annie

when splitting into the teams for the upcoming games, Reiner hates to have Bert and Gabi fight over him so Reiner teams up with the mildest of the guests, Pieck

leaves the gathering the first out of all the guests since Gabi was getting too feral and was hard to control

Zeke

like Bertholdt, also shows up early - but not out of the kindness of his heart; Zeke just doesn't like arriving with the majority of guests

at this point, Zeke's been frequenting the Grice household so much that he feels himself at home there and just roams the place freely - no room is off-limits for him

during pre-gathering time Zeke opts to sit either in the kitchen or the main room - wherever the commotion is the biggest - just to watch the preparations from the farthest corner of the room

Zeke would often mention in passing that he has a list of his favourite warriors that he is updating regularly (spoiler alert, colt and pieck are always making it into the list)

In the Bumblebee Timberline, how is the situation with Yelenea and the others handled since the Wine Distribution Plan was caught early on? Now that we know just how bad it got in the main timeline, Bee must have saved a lot of people from Zeke's Plan.

Part 8: Bumblebee and Yelena

Bumblebee is very suspicious of Yelena early on, as is everyone else. But Bumblebee has been a scout for a very long time. He knows the importance of patience and waiting to gather information, and not jumping the gun so soon and getting caught. He's learned that lesson the hard way when it came to losing his voice to Megatron.

So while Bumblebee is doing his best to kill Yelena with kindness, he is monitoring activity from the Restorationists and even any other Marleyans. Optimus does support Yelena's idea of integrating Marleyans into their society, but Bumblebee sees that as an easy open door to harm the Paradis population. He keeps tabs on where the Marleyans end up getting stationed once they get approved to do so and quietly monitors them. There's still hostility between Marleyan and Eldian, but once the Eldians start drinking wine, they forget their worries.

Bumblebee decides to talk to some of the other Restorationists, both interested in hearing their stories while also gathering information on Yelena and Zeke as a result. This does take some time, but he does gather a lot of information. And while Bumblebee is bonding with Onyankopon, he is surprised that Onyankopon has quite a few things to say about Yelena, specifically how ruthless she was against Marleyans and how much she hated the Marleyan government. So why was she so eager to integrate them into the society of the Walls.

One bit of information he stumbles upon basically by accident. He helps with transporting cargo from the Marleyan ships to the walls. However, he's surprised at the amount of wine on each of the ships. Why would Marleyans, specifically soldiers, need to even drink this much? Bumblebee then realizes this wine is what's given to the military in the walls. Why was the wine given to the military? Why was there so much of it in the first place? Bumblebee then remembers one of the experiments he's had with Hanji and Eren, and how Hanji has brought up the fact that the titan serum is liquid. It gives Bumblebee an idea that he has to ask Megatron about, specifically whether or not the titan serum can be concealed or undetected in other forms of liquid.

Megatron is about to brush off the question, but does remember hearing about some of Marley's tactics and does a little digging. They have done sleeper agents of pure titans using Zeke's spinal fluid. Bumblebee has a working theory, with some circumstantial evidence, but he needs solid evidence in order to make a move. Megatron ends up sneaking another one of Zeke's spinal fluid to the island while Hanji takes a bottle of wine. After a lot of analysis and data exploration, they find out that Zeke's DNA is in the wine. It's more than enough to prosecute and arrest the Restorationists. Although Onyankopon still has the same reaction he does in the AOP main timeline, but Bumblebee does feel bad for Onyankopon.

Holy fuck I just finished Attack on Titan and Jesus Christ did Mikasa get the short end of the stick
