What's your Pride Month head canons for your oc's and favorite characters?

Okay... so. First Pride Month headcanon: none of my ocs are straight. This is the biggest collection of gays, bis, pans, and gray-aces out there. Some of them are in hetero relationships, but they are still bi/pan.

Standing out we have Mysen of Denerim, who is gay and on the asexual spectrum - I'd call him homoromantic graysexual, and in a loving polycule with Alistair Theirin and Benny Cousland. (please ask me questions about them cause I wanna fill out their relationship btw)

We have Mila Cooper, who is also on the asexual spectrum - I'd call her demiromantic asexual. She is not sex-repulsed and frequently has sexual relations with her husband Fenris, but it is not something she requires or feels a need for, simply an activity she enjoys sharing with Fenris.

We've got bi disaster Morgan Walker, and gay disaster Cal Hawke.

Other bi/pan OCs include: Ava Hawke, Vylandin, Lissa Surana (demisexual), Agatha Iyris, Cassander Shepard, Cordelia Shepard, and Liam Trevelyan

Other gay OCs include: Henry Lucas, Benny Cousland, Ellis Walker (identified as straight/questioning for a long time and had a son before coming out as gay), Luka the Gold Dragon, Carlisle Shepard, Destin and Madoc Ryder, James Trevelyan, Jesse Malkin, Mason Wiseman, Solomon Kingston, and Winston Wyne.

Dick Grayson is demisexual. Bruce Wayne is gay. Jason Todd is also gay. Clark Kent is pansexual. Diana Prince is pansexual. Dinah Lance is bi and has crushes on Harley and Ivy. Honestly, pretty much everyone in the DC universe is LGBTQ+

Percy Jackson is bi, Jason Grace is gay and ace (lol pun not intended). Annabeth is a straight ally. Luke Castellan is gay

Bucky Barnes is gay, Steve is bisexual, Tony Stark is pansexual. Thor is demisexual. Loki is genderfluid, Scott Lang is bisexual. Natasha Romanoff is asexual. Peter Parker is gay. Pietro Maximoff is also gay

Sokka and Suki are bisexuals. Aang is pansexual. Bolin is gay. Kuvira is absolutely sapphic

Geralt is very much bisexual, and Jaskier is pansexual.

Nathan Drake is a bi disaster.

Obi-Wan is gay. So is Darth Maul. Anakin is straight but has bi wife energy. Because Padme is bi. Luke Skywalker is gay.

Luna Lovegood is ace and pan. All of the Weasleys are bisexual except Charlie, who is aro/ace.

Remember the Hardy Boys? Yes, both gay. Nancy Drew is bi. Also the Beast from Beauty and the Beast is bi. Belle is a straight ally.

Maeve!! She’s the daughter of Elissa Cousland and Alistair and she’s autistic and ADHD. Sometimes she goes non verbal. She’s silly and funny so a lot of people think she takes more after her dad but she can also be conniving and brilliant (not that Alistair is stupid. Just ppl think he is, a bit). Her younger brother Mason is autistic also, and he’s very strategic, so one day they plan to rule together. She’ll be the face of it bc she’s more charismatic and outgoing and he will run things behind the scenes (with her help).

Ship-a-thon!

tagged by @idrelle-miocovani and @pikapeppa, and I’m finally getting around to it!! Thank you!!

1. First ship you ever wrote fic for:

Technically it was self-insert fic for the Backstreet Boys, *NSync, and Hanson in like, 1997. More realistically, it was Solavellan, summer of 2016.

2. Ship you write the most now:

Right now, I’m pretty much only writing Arthur Morgan x Mary Beth Gaskill for the Red Dead Redemption 2 fandom (in a fast-growing chapter fic called A Funeral). Ships I meaningfully hope to get back to are Aloy x Nil (Horizon: Zero Dawn) and Sene x Ameridan (I still have a lot up my sleeve for them). I feel Sene and Solas have mostly been retired, at least in their canon divergent fix-it iteration. But of course, with DA4 developments, I am always likely to get back to their more tragic, awful canon circumstances. Lol.

3. Ship you read the most now:

When I read fanfic, I still mostly read Solavellan and Dragon Age fanfic, especially now that, for the time being, I’ve moved on from writing for the fandom. I try to stick faithful to my friends who are magnificent DA writers. I’m slowly combing my way through fics by @ladylike-foxes @bearly-tolerable @ellstersmash and @buttsonthebeach right now, and of course I always look forward to @thevikingwoman‘s Temporal Arrangements updates <3 Note that I am MASSIVELY slow when it comes to reading, particularly catching up on longfics, so you may not know I’m there at all till I whisper my way into the comments section all at once when I catch up....

4. Newest ship:

Arthur Morgan x Mary Beth Gaskill, Red Dead Redemption 2. This is a very rare pair, and I’m stoked for the readership I’ve accumulated so far at AO3 (and to a MUCH lesser extent, on tumblr). I’m not altogether sure why it’s so rare lol, but Mary Beth IS a low profile character for sure, and most of the fic I see for Arthur seems to be the second person Reader x Arthur, which is a sub-genre I’m not terribly familiar with. I do have theories that Mary Beth might have been the originally planned love interest for Arthur, and I know I’m not alone in that at least. There just aren’t a lot of other content creators for the ship right now, which is fine lol. I’m cool being the captain of this ship.

I also have some newer ships that I love, even if I don’t actively ship them? Like Arthur x Charles and Arthur x Albert Mason. I REALLY like viewing these as complex platonic relationships, particularly Arthur and Charles, who I see as platonic comrades fighting in a losing war (never romantic), but I’ve seen some beautiful art and writing for both of these as romantic ships and really like to see what people come up with.

5. Rare ship you wanna read more of:

I’d love to see some more Ameridan x Lavellan ships out there!! I know they exist. I also am definitely meaning to get into @a-shakespearean-in-paris‘s Arthur x Charlotte fic, another RDR2 rare pair.

6. Your taboo ship:

Most of the time, I give no fucks about what people want to ship. The only thing that legitimately freaks me out is Joel x Ellie from The Last of Us. That, to me, is gnarly af and I’m actually like, morally opposed to the pairing. I’m definitely a little squicked by Arthur x Dutch in RDR2, though I don’t have any moral issues with it. I just don’t like it personally. In the end, 99.9% of the time, I say ship and let ship.

7. They never met in canon ship:

I don’t think I have one of these. Unless you count Solas x Ghilan’nain. Though I guess they DID meet in canon? Idk lol.

8. Your unexpected ship:

Lavellan x Ameridan and Lavellan x Abelas. Tbh when I first got here, I never understood these sorts of canon divergent ships. It was bizarre to me. But after hanging out for a year or so and finding new ways to explore the story, I ended up being so fascinated by the prospect of Sene in a post-Trespasser world, attempting to move on from Solas, and her complicated relationships with other ancient and quasi-ancient elves.

Also, Aloy x Nil for HZD. This ship grew out of my own writing and not really much out of the game. I think Nil’s role in Aloy’s life is supremely unique, and I explored it in a one-shot, which became a yet-unfinished chapter fic that I’d really like to get back to one day.

9. The ship you always forget to give love to:

Morrigan x Warden Cousland. I feel like I don’t see a ton of other Morrigan x Warden ships (except you @buttsonthebeach!!) and I have always loved the complexities of the ship.

10. Ship your OC with a canon character (if applicable):

See #8 lol. I’ve shipped Sene Lavellan with every ancient elf there is lol. I’ve also got a Lavellan x Blackwall ship, which I wrote about briefly in my probably-abandoned fic Unsigned.

I’ve also got a very loose concept for an OC x Joel ship in The Last of Us that I never wrote about. Her name is Cynthia. She’s a widow, and she’s got a sixteen-year-old son. The two find their way to Tommy’s compound in Jackson at some point post-TLoU. I had an idea for a canon divergent fic in which Joel and Cynthia get married, and shortly thereafter, during an attack on the compound, Joel and Cynthia’s son end up captured and held hostage by the Fireflies. Cynthia and Ellie then must set out on a journey to rescue them. Cynthia is a skilled trap-maker, a little like Bill, but even more specialized. She teaches Ellie how to make some badass traps. Add this to my long list of fics I would love nothing more to write, but I have no time to write them.

11. Ship you’re embarrassed to ship:

I’m a grown-ass woman I have no embarrassment lol.

12. Your most romantic ship:

Sene and Solas. But also maybe Arthur x Mary Beth. I’m not sure which is more “romantic.” I don’t really do “sweep me off my feet whirlwind romance” writing. Though, of course, they’re romantic in some sense.

13. Your sexiest ship:

That would be Sene Lavellan x Ameridan, for sure.

14. Your most tragic ship:

Ugh. Probably Sene Lavellan x Abelas. I have not written as much about them as I should have. Their story is quite complete in my mind and has a few endings.

My Nume Lavellan x Blackwall ship is also pretty sad.

15. A ship you want more content for:

I always want more Iwyn Lavellan x Solas content by @thevikingwoman. In any and all forms, though my favorite story for them so far is Temporal Arrangements. <3

Late to the party but for the mistletoe kiss... I'd wanna kiss them all. Some platonically (Ronan, Cassian, Blue), some others less so. I'd ask for permission, though. I'd stay away from Kieran, since I am, after all, a human female... XD Das would smooch them all mercilessly (*especially* Kieran). Except for Blue. He'd be very gentle with Blue. Because she may be the most badass warden of the squad, but as far as *he* is concerned, she's made of snowflakes, rose petals and glass.

[And I’m late to the party for answering, it might as well be a New Year’s kiss now xD Jk, thanks for the ask my friend! Here we go. Cassian Cousland is so enthusiastic about platonic affection he’d be absolutely delighted. Blue Surana and Ronan Aeducan would be fine with it and they greatly appreciate being asked first. Good call on Kieran Tabris though. Now for Das… I can’t not write something for this so MERRY BELATED CHRISTMAS]

Mistletoe Kiss ft. Das Davarris + Warden Squad

Words: 1792 (holy moly i got carried away)

The liveliness of the party was felt all throughout Vigil’s Keep, the Satinalia celebration in full swing, unperturbed by midnight’s passing. All the Ferelden Grey Wardens and their friends and family, including the friends and family of the newer recruits, were present and festive. Even a majority of Soldier’s Peak Wardens was there, leaving only a skeleton crew at their castle interchanged by shifts. Warden Davarris, as he often was in any room he entered, was the life of the party.

“Chug another one, Davarris!” “Quit flapping around like a dandy and get yer ass over here!” “It’s your turn for the Satinalia mistletoe game!” came the friendly jeers and shouts that pulled him from his enthusiastic if not eclectic dancing. Not one to turn down a challenge, he marched jauntily over and took up the bottle from one of the new recruits.

“A mistletoe kiss, eh? Maker’s tits you buggers still play this game?” he laughed but twirled the bottle in his hand readily enough. “Alright I’ll have a go at it, Maker knows you blighters need to be shown how to pucker properly. Like you, Mason. Last time you got yer cheeks smooched was probably yer mum, wasn’t it?”

“Up yours, Davarris!” the new recruit answered back, but raised his glass to show it was all in good fun. He took another chug of his ale before shooting back. “Besides, with yer mug this might be the only way you’s getting a kiss.”

“Just spin it already!” called an impatient voice before Das could joke back. A snicker responded to it along with the jibe, “Are you that eager to kiss him, Tabris? Haven’t you two already gone at each other enough?”

“What can I say Nora, maybe I want an audience.”

Grinning, flattered and more than a little buzzed, Das made a show of dramatically placing the bottle in the center of the table and with the hilt of one of his blades, gave it a good spin. The small crowd that had abandoned dancing and drinking and socializing to watch, pressed in curiously. Drawing suspense, the bottle came to a slow stop, pointing not at one person, but at the painting on the nearest wall depicting the Heroes of Ferelden.

There was a brief uproar of laughter and arguing about how the results were to be played out before it was unanimously decided that all the Wardens of the Hero Squad present must be kissed. After making sure none of them were against the idea, Das picked up the sprig of mistletoe on the table. “To work!” he announced, imitating the Commander of the Inquisition’s armies.

Leaping to one side of the crowd, he bent forward to throw an arm around each of his favorite dwarves. Raising the mistletoe between him and Ronan Aeducan, he promptly gave the man a long smooch on the cheek. The warrior made a huff of amusement before running a hand over the side of his slightly ruffled beard. “Too much to drink, Davarris?” he joked.

But Das had already tossed the mistletoe to his other hand and held it up over Nora Brosca. The short woman was already grinning and poking her own cheek expectantly. “Plant ‘er there, Das!” And he did, with enough enthusiasm to send the woman into a fit of laughter before she gave him a surprisingly strong shove toward the tall human gentleman.

“Good evening, Das.” Warden Cousland greeted, ever friendly. The former-inquisitor laughed at his nonchalance before replying “It sure is, Cassian.” and reaching up to take the lanky man’s stubbly face in his hands, still holding the mistletoe in one. To his surprise, Cassian was the one to close the distance. Not one to ever put a damper on party games, he gave Das a short but surprisingly passionate kiss on the lips. Cheers and hollers surrounded them, and one friendly “boooo!” from their favorite elven reaver.

“Maker’s holy balls!” Das cried out, placing a dramatic hand on his chest at the end of the encounter. “You kiss like an Antivan!” he told his friend who laughed, looked both flattered and proud, and assured Das that so did he. They were then interrupted by an indignant yelp as Kieran Tabris picked up the petite woman beside him and carried her over.

“Oi, Davarris! Kiss Mell first, you and I are gonna be a while.” the dark-haired elf suggested, grinning and presenting his mage friend who looked thoroughly embarrassed. He set her down before Das who took her hand and kissed it gently. Alyss Amell’s face was already turning pink but she met Das’ pale eyes and smiled demurely. Her shyness was clearly due to having the eyes of a crowd on her and not their proximity. Das was good at drawing her focus from all of them though, and it was warmly appreciated.

“May I, Princess Amell?” he inquired of her and she suppressed a little laugh before granting him permission. He smiled back brightly, raised the mistletoe and gave her a soft peck on the lips before drawing back to return her personal space. Alyss had turned red- and there were more cheers- but before Das could perceive any of this, a hand had grabbed his and raised it over his head along with the mistletoe. Das couldn’t even laugh at his enthusiasm before Kieran’s mouth was on his, the other gripping the upper part of his arm as he walked him backwards into a pillar.

As his back hit the stone, Das returned the kiss in earnest, free hand traveling up into the other man’s long hair. The whole room was in an uproar now with their hollers and even some applause. Snickering, and not being able to help himself, he tugged at the thin leather cord holding up Kieran’s bun and the cascade of raven-colored hair poured down Kieran’s back nearly to his thighs. Warden Tabris made a grunt of protest but would not break the fierce kiss- until a hand reached out and yanked him back by his robes.

“Quit hogging him, Tabris. It’s my turn.” the beautiful and intimidating Arlessa ordered sharply. With a friendly ‘You bitch, Mahri.’ at her and a wink at Das, Kieran yielded. Das looked surprised but intrigued- Isseya Mahariel hadn’t been in the room when he’d first spun the bottle so he hadn’t imagined she’d be on the proverbial menu.

“My Lady!” he exclaimed. He bowed to her nobly, and was delighted at the brief but clearly amused tug in the corners of her lips. She walked up to him purposefully, in her tall heels she was slightly taller than him and it was oddly thrilling, but paused an inch from his face. The crowd had quieted down slightly but looked more excited than ever. Isseya raised her large goblet of wine by one side of their faces and took his hand to hold the mistletoe up next to the other side. Their lips hidden from prying eyes, she leaned in and pressed her mouth to the corner of his, not truly kissing him, not intending to.

“Guess who returned early from her visit to Orlais?” she whispered, lips brushing against his skin. “She’s in the rookery. Hurry.” She pulled back and raised her goblet, smirking and announcing loudly, “Not bad, Davarris!” to a host of wild cheers. But Das could hardly hear them anymore; the breath had left his lungs and a lost look wavered over his mask of a party-face. She was here?

Excusing himself hastily and ignoring the protests, he escaped the party and made his way up the castle. By the time he’d ascended the final staircase he was terribly out of breath, but threw the door open anyways. A few of the ravens squawked, startled, but the woman sitting on the windowsill only looked up and smiled. Das fidgeted.

“You’re home!” he cheered, smiling then cursing at himself because yes that was very obvious but his damned bloody mouth operated faster than his bloody thoughts. But Warden Commander Blue Surana nodded once, rose to her feet and approached him. She looked into his eyes, the small smile still on her lips, and brushed her gloved hand against one of his. .

“I’m home.” she agreed, staring at him to convey that the idea had little to do with location. Das felt his chest tighten. Maker how did she always do this to him? Before he could muster up another not-well-thought-out reply, she tugged curiously at the plant still in his hand.

“Mistletoe?” she inquired. Das chuckled, the heat rising in his face a bit before he raised up the sprig and carefully explained what had gone on downstairs. She was going to hear it from someone eventually so he figured it might as well be him. She nodded, face unreadable but eyes clearly enjoying the story.

“I see. Did you come up here to kiss me too?” she asked, mildly, as if inquiring about the weather. Das nearly choked on his heart as it sprung up to his mouth. Well, not really, but it bloody well felt like it. He opened his mouth to respond when she continued with. “You may, if you like.”

A few moments of silence, then she shifted slightly and added, “Unless you’d rather not.”

Rather not? Great burning Andraste, of course he wanted... He regained himself, forcing himself to smile despite the nerves. She was looking doubtful now and there was no way he was allowing that. He assured her in enthusiastic and somewhat colorful language that he abso-fucking-lutely did. He raised up the mistletoe one last time, cursing the sudden shakiness of that hand. He’d kissed hundreds of people- maybe, he didn’t really count- but seldom did doing so make him this nervous. Das tried to remind himself she was not in fact made of roses and snowflakes and glass, but when he finally raised his other hand to cup her cheek he certainly held her like she was. He leaned in-

“Should I close my eyes to kiss?” she asked tentatively. He froze, blinked in surprise.

“You can if you like.” he replied chuckling. “Do you not usually?”

There was a long pause before she averted her eyes. Das paled.

“You’ve never..?”

“Nora kissed me once.” Blue answered, meeting his eyes again. “She was drunk and I don’t think she remembers. And Cassian and Kieran… sometimes kiss my cheek when they greet me.”

Das squatted on the floor with his head between his legs and hands on top of said head. Sheer panic washed over him. He was going to be her first real kiss? He didn’t deserve this honor- holy fucking shit he-

“Did you change your mind?” she asked, sounding a bit disappointed.

“Just give me a minute,” he requested hoarsely.

Also, here is a list of what people give Fiona and Maric as wedding gifts

Gaspard hires forty people to hand-deliver a massive chunk of granite as a wedding gift. This is meant to communicate that he /could afford/ to send a better gift, but that he doesn’t want to. Fiona hires a stonecutter and a mason to turn the granite into ‘bricks’, and use them to improve the Denerim alienage’s orphanage’s building.

Celene’s parents send two thousand pounds of flour, for similar reasons to the above. After making sure that the flour has not been poisoned, it’s given to the Hahren to dole out to each family as they need it.

Many Tevinter families send REALLY nice gifts, considering Fiona’s the first southern mage to be anything resembling the ruler of a nation. Maevaris’ father sends a really cool piece of magical tech Fiona wants to keep, and the Pavus’ send a magically enchanted chest that acts like Hermione’s bag, where it’s bigger on the inside. Fiona, unwilling to keep anything that might be the result of blood magic or slave labor, however, sells it all and gives a portion of the money to each of the alienages (with Denerim getting the least, as it got both the flour and the stone, since they were easier to keep in the city.) One noble family attempted to send a dozen slaves. Fiona freed all of them instantly upon them reaching Ferelden, and gave each of them a paying job at the palace.

The Montilyets sent a few dozen bolts of really fine silk, some jewelry and a sweater with an intarsia griffon on it for Alistair (Josie’s mom knit it for him.) (No, knit sweaters as we knew them weren’t particularly a thing fashionwise during the times DA seems to steal from, but you can pry Alistair in a handknit sweater with a griffon on it from my cold dead hands.)

The Vaels, conflicted on how to feel about this wedding, send a gift of coin.

The Viscount of Kirkwall, much like the Vaels wasn’t sure how to feel about the marriage and sent a case of wine.

The Kirkwall Alienage sent a branch, fallen from their vhenadahl and carved into a staff, and then enchanted.

The Denerim Alienage paid for the calligraphy and art on Fiona and Maric’s ketubah.

The Highever alienage sent a set of gauntlets worn by the Hahren’s ancestor who fought and died during the Fall of The Dales.

Clan Lavellan sent an ironbark blade for Maric.

Clan Sabrae sent two ironbark rings, enchanted to warm slightly when around one another.

The Grey Wardens sent three cases of tea-leaves, and gave Fiona the right to continue using the title of Warden Constable, the rank she earned before leaving the Wardens, should she so wish.

A couple Fereldan Nobles gave Mabari puppies, including Alfstanna’s parents, who gave TWO mabari puppies, one specifically for the king and queen and one for Prince Alistair. (The dog luckily did imprint on Alistair.)

Teagan gave a piece of his mother’s jewelry specifically to Fiona, as a way of accepting the marriage and showing he considered her to be family the same as Maric.

Eamon sent a strongly worded letter showing his disapproval.

The Couslands sent jewels, and a fine silver necklace and matching silver earrings, as well as a nice armoire.

Loghain, being Maric’s bestie, didn’t HAVE to give a gift, but ended up giving a dozen cases of mead, gave Fiona the money to buy a new staff (Since he broke her old one during their spar in an earlier chapter), a woodcarving (the carving is basically a blessing of protection and fertility in The Old Faith, though he doesn’t tell Maric that because he and Maric Do Not Discuss The Open Secret That Loghain Is Not Andrastian), and he commissions a set of armor for Fiona, making the excuse that he’d be the one who has to comfort Maric if she goes and gets herself killed.

Lady Aldebrant and Bann D'Érablière give a gift together, because They Move Fast As A Couple, and the gift is really nice fabric, some nice gems, and a book Lady Aldebrant thought Fiona would like on Elvish, as well as an Elven artifact she ‘liberated’ from the University of Orlais upon her graduation.
