Haunted Mansion

Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tonight I went to see Walt Disney's Haunted Mansion movie. What a fun time! The movie speaks of mediumship and clearly differentiates a medium from a psychic. The movie also highlights levitation, seance, reverse seance (which is a new fangled Hollywood name for astral travel), channeling, apparitions, ectoplasm, clairvoyance, clairaudience, and a Hollywood take on precipitation as well as ghosts communicating through a Hollywood version of automatic writing. The movie highlights a Spiritualist medium dressed in Marie Laveau type attire to add to the Hollywood hype, (of course the story is that the house itself is set in New Orleans). The cast also includes a humorous haunted house researcher turned author, a spirit photographer who invented a NASA type spirit camera although he doesn't believe in ghosts, a presumed exorcist priest, a woman doctor who moved into the house with her young son, and a ton of Earthbound spirits making their presence known night after night at the stroke of midnight. There is also a residual haunting at the crossroads of the hallway with some clairinsentience involved. The movie is a blend of cinematic presentations which are true to Spiritualism and Hollywood fiction. It is a delightful movie for the Spiritualist community and the 5 star presentation is as expected for the Disney stamp of approval. So go out and treat yourself! You deserve it!

Christians, Please Boycott Ouija Board Manufacturer and Promoter, Hasbro Inc.

Christians, Please Boycott Ouija Board Manufacturer, Hasbro Inc., This Christmas Season (and Beyond) 

My son is a missing and presumed deceased person whose life, I believe, was ruined and likely ended due to his playing with a Ouija board as a child.  In his memory I am in the process of organizing a worldwide boycott of Ouija board manufacturer, Hasbro Inc. I have emailed hundreds, if not thousands, of Christian churches worldwide, and unfortunately thusfar have not received a significant response. I believe this is unfortunate both for me, the memory of my son, as well as young people and others who will continue to be victimized by the board, and also to the churches who choose to ignore the issue and become increasingly socially irrelevant.  

The Ouija board has been involved in hundreds, if not thousands, of murders, other crimes, suicides, and mental illness.  The mental illness associated with Ouija board use is so pervasive that it has been given the name “mediumistic psychosis” by mental health professionals, even those who do not believe in the supernatural explanation for the phenomenon. 

Hasbro and the Consumer Production Safety Commission have been repeatedly informed of the harm caused by the Ouija board.  Hasbro’s response has been to ignore those reports and to double down on promoting Ouija board sales, even releasing a pink Ouija board to attempt to entice young girls. 

Please ask the churches you lead and Christian organizations that include other denominations to which you belong to support the boycott during this Christmas season (and beyond).

what is an entity?

the term "entity" is used to denote something that has a distinct existence or identity, whether that's in the physical world, the realm of ideas, or the sphere of the supernatural. An entity, in a general sense, refers to something that exists and can be perceived or conceptualized as having its own distinct identity or essence. It's a term used across various fields, including philosophy, metaphysics, and the paranormal, to describe a wide range of phenomena. we are going to talk about the paranormal side of it, because we are still talking about witchcraft.

These entities are often encountered in paranormal investigations, spiritual practices, and accounts of supernatural phenomena. Here are some general knowledge:

Types of Entities: Entities encountered in paranormal experiences can vary widely in nature and characteristics. They may include ghosts, spirits of deceased individuals, demons, angels, elemental beings, extraterrestrial entities, and other supernatural beings.

Manifestations: Entities are often reported to manifest in various ways, including as apparitions, shadows, orbs, voices, sensations of presence, and disruptions in electronic devices. Some entities may also be perceived through psychic senses or during altered states of consciousness.

Interactions: Interactions with entities can range from benign to malevolent. Some entities are believed to be harmless or even benevolent guides or guardians, while others may be hostile or disruptive forces that cause fear, discomfort, or harm to individuals or environments.

Hauntings: Hauntings are situations where entities are believed to be present in a particular location, often repeating certain actions or behaviors. Haunted houses, buildings, and other sites are commonly associated with reports of paranormal activity attributed to lingering entities.

Possession and Attachment: In cases of possession or attachment, individuals may report being influenced or controlled by an external entity, leading to changes in behavior, personality, or physical well-being. Exorcism rituals and spiritual interventions are often employed to address such situations.

Investigation and Research: Paranormal investigators and researchers often use various methods and technologies to detect, document, and study entities and their manifestations. This can include techniques such as EVP (electronic voice phenomena) recordings, EMF (electromagnetic field) measurements, and psychic or mediumistic communication.

Belief Systems: Beliefs about entities and their nature vary widely across different cultures, religions, and spiritual traditions. Some view entities as manifestations of the deceased or spiritual energies, while others interpret them as interdimensional beings or aspects of the human psyche.

Debates and Skepticism: The existence and nature of entities are topics of ongoing debate and skepticism within the scientific and skeptical communities. While some researchers seek to investigate and understand paranormal phenomena using empirical methods, others remain skeptical of supernatural explanations and attribute reported experiences to psychological, environmental, or other natural factors.

What are the different entities we can work with?

In witchcraft, deities are not the only entities we can work with.  There are multiple types of entities you can end up working with in your journey as a witch:

Spirits: This category includes a wide range of non-physical entities, such as ghosts, nature spirits, ancestral spirits, and spirit guides.

Deities: Gods, goddesses, and other divine beings from various mythologies and pantheons may be invoked or worked with in witchcraft rituals.

Elementals: These are spirits or beings associated with the classical elements of earth, air, fire, and water, representing the forces of nature.

Familiars: Familiars are often depicted as animal companions or spirits that have a special bond with the witch and assist them in their magical workings.

Angels: Some witches may work with angels for guidance, protection, and spiritual assistance.

Demons: In certain traditions, witches may work with or summon demons for various purposes, such as acquiring knowledge, power, or material wealth.

Ancestors: Ancestral spirits, or the spirits of deceased family members, may be honored, invoked, or consulted for guidance and protection.

Plants and Plant Spirits: Witches may work with the spirits of plants and herbs for healing, divination, and magical purposes.

Animals and Animal Spirits: Animal spirits or totems may be invoked or called upon for guidance, protection, and magical empowerment.

Fairies and Other Folklore Beings: Folklore creatures such as fairies, elves, dwarves, and other mythical beings may play a role in certain witchcraft traditions.

Planetary and Celestial Energies: Witches may work with the energies of planets, stars, and celestial bodies for astrological magic and divination.

Sacred Symbols and Archetypes: Symbols, sigils, and archetypal energies may be used in witchcraft rituals to tap into specific aspects of consciousness and the collective unconscious.

The Shadow Self: Some witches work with the shadow self, exploring and integrating unconscious aspects of their psyche for personal growth and empowerment.

Guardian Spirits: These are spirits or entities that serve as protectors and guides for the witch on their spiritual journey.

In your journey as a witch, you may come across some types of entities that are known, to my knowledge, as "energy vampires" or simply "vampires."  Those kinds of entities will manipulate you into believing that they are another more powerful entity to take your energy. You can easily identify these entities by the fact that you will start to feel very tired, they will keep asking to transgress your boundaries, they will flatter you, and they will use your weak spot to get energy. That's why protecting is most important when doing everything, because those entities are attracted by unshielded energy and they are little fuckers.  An entity that wants to help you and work with you will not act like this. 

general rules when working with entitis:

Don't disrespect the entitis. It may seem like a stupid rule, but it is the biggest one.

Set clear intentions and ask questions. be clear what you want from the entities and ask what they want from you!

set clear boundaries.

Trust your gut! If you feel something is wrong with the "entity" you are working with, you are right!

Don't force an entity to work with you.

Cleanse and protect yourself monthly and daily.

Learn about the entities before you even try to make contact with them or work with them.

If you are unsure, seek guidance and support from others.

Ground yourself before and after talking with an entity.

An entity will not fall in love with you, will not cuddle you, will not want you for themselves, and will not stop you from working with other entities.

An entity can be your friend; as long as the respect does not go away and the dynamic of working together is not transgressed (and obviously the entity does not transgress the boundaries), you are good to go.

You can worship an entity and have fun with their offerings. An offering doesn't have to be an object; it can also be an action. Painting and writing while vibing to music can be an offering to Apollo.

The Service Axis: Pisces + Virgo

I find the Pisces + Virgo axis in the circle as the most sensitive axis. There is something airy and detached about the energy these two possess, they come together when their gifts are of need. Pisces represents the mystification of the ego into an all-encompassing, whole, dissolved state. The flow of Pisces is infinite and all at once like a ripple effect caused by a single drop of water. Virgo, the opposite end of Pisces is aware of the what, the when, as it's presented in the now. If Pisces is a bubbly ocean Virgo is the sailor above the water, the eagle's eye view, the sharpened point that guides the mist.

Virgo - service and health oriented, they are extremely sensitive to physical changes in their environment. They stay ordered within the bare truth, sticking to simplicity. Virgin-like and self sacrificial, they have this purity about the world that allows them to tap into quite high vibes.

Low vibrational Virgo is over critical, too cold, foolishly over relying on objectivity rather than seeing higher ground. The perfectionist that gets lost in the practical details instead of taking a breath to allow their creativity to flow.

High vibrational Virgo finds order in helping others and being a reliable pillar. Their put together demeanor calms anyone around them- their polar twin Pisces helps them to think outside of the box.

Pisces - dreamy, intuitive and detached, their scales soak in a pool of zen. The most spiritual sign, they can appear aloof sometimes but it is because they are always acting in a state of general compassion and collective awareness of everything around them.

Low-vibrational Pisces is people pleasing, acting like a martyr, lost in a fantasy, and almost every Piscean/12th houser can tell you about escapism- they feel too much the vastness of the world's interconnectivity and numb their pain through drinking, shopping, etc.

High vibrational Pisces is called by a higher purpose and knows where humanity needs their spirit. Their idealistic vision guides others to a spiritual path- their polar twin Virgo can help organize themselves.

As Rosy overgrown in vegetation has become a genre I enjoy, I'll take a moment to share some lore.

For those who don't remember, I prefer to perceive Amy as mediumistic rather than magical. For those unfamiliar with what I mean by mediumistic, in short I mean like a medium between the physical world and the supernatural world of spirits and gods. So, for my future works that is how I'll be handling Rosy. In addition to exploring Amy more as mediumistic, one of the things I would like to do is to explore negative relationships with nature beyond just Eggman's rampant industrialization without a care for the consequences of his actions.

In Rosy's case I will be looking at animal sacrifice. I won't go that deep, and explaining it here will be difficult since there are aspects of my future works that are not ready to share yet. That said, as Amy/Rosy is mediumistic, she is seen as valuable in either sacrifice to appease the gods or as a simple medium. More specifically though, she is a nature element medium. This means that unlike other animal people (I will be revealing a name for them later that is not Mobian) , Rosy can talk with more nature elementals than just the small animal friends from the games. What typically gives her away though is if any nature gods are present. Note, when I use gods I mean any such dietic entity from something on Dark Gaia and Solaris's time and space shaping level down to a meager god of a family heirloom shovel. This means that the effect on Rosy from the presence of a nature element god varies based on their strength. In all cases though when in the presence of any such deities, any non-medium around Rosy can hear their voice and moss, vines, and flowers will start growing from Rosy's body. then this should give you a good idea of what she experiences. If a god is particularly powerful though a whole tree could very well grow from Rosy leaving her trapped in it until they either free her or leave, which is what I was trying illustrate above. And that's all for lore at the moment.

On the art itself, I wanted to experiment with a way to draw reasonably quickly that also prevents me from getting too detail oriented. The idea is to create a style that is messy on purpose so I can ignore my perfectionist tendencies. Even then, I used too thick of a brush and will need to experiment more with the coloring approach so it can be both messy but a tad cleaner. I hope everyone enjoyed this little lore dump and isn't afraid to ask any questions that you have. I'll be happy to answer!

Summary: Being head librarian and bookkeeper for the Alliance of Shifters, Sahali spends her days inside the quiet and quaint Hudson Valley branch. When a threat surfaces, one that affects all shifters, the founders of A.O.S seek the help of one of their best investigators; the retired lone wolf Frankie Morales. When Sahali is sent to locate him, her curated world changes drastically.

Some Medical Professionals Who Warn Against the Ouija Board

MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WHO WARN AGAINST THE OUIJA BOARD

Numerous mental health care experts have issued warnings against the use of the board.  Indeed, ouija board psychosis has become so prevalent that doctors have named the diagnosis “mediumistic psychosis.” 

Dr. Thelma Moss, who is on the staff of the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, stated that “…the Ouija board is no game and can cause serious dissociations of personality.” 

Dr. Curry, a former medical director of the New Jersey State Insane Asylum believed that Ouija boards could have an unbalancing effect on those with a pre-disposition to mental instability.

Dr. Alberto Gonzales of the Pan American Institute of Health, Reverend Morris Cerrullo, and Dr. Marta Prohazka of Fairfax, Virginia, who in the course of treating paranoid schizophrenics came to believe that in addition to mental illness the Ouija board has led to “violence, even murder.”

Dr. Carl Wickland stated in 1924 that "the serious problem of alienation and mental derangement attending ignorant psychic experiments was first brought to my attention by cases of several persons whose seemingly harmless experiences with automatic writing and the Ouija board resulted in such wild insanity that commitment to asylums was necessitated."

Psychiatric consultant R. Kenneth McCall has reported that 280 of his cases may be traced to “occult practices, including playing with the Ouija board.” 

In the Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology of the National Institutes’ of Health doctors Paolo Mazzoni, David Kimhy and Cheryl Corcoran sought to get some answers concerning the still mysterious development of schizophrenia in adolescents by studying a sample group of nine teens. They found that two of “…the older prodromal patients…included…a preoccupation with the paranormal including…Ouija boards.” Though a small sampling, the percentage of schizophrenic adolescents in the study who played with Ouija boards, two out of nine, or 22% is over twenty times higher than the incidence of schizophrenia in the general population. 

 Freddy Vasquez, director of Suicide Prevention at that institution, said that because of this game a vulnerable and impressionable teenager can fall into a trance of exaltationand distortion of reality through which could be easily led to a death program.

 Peruvian Institute of Mental Health doctor Honorio Delgado Hideyo Noguchi warns that the Ouija board might lead impressionable, anxious or suggestible teenagers to suicide, generate hysteria, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. 

Dr. Marta Prohazka of Fairfax, Virginia warns that the “use of a Ouija has led to violence and even to murder…” During her practice as psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, she realized that many patients she had previously assessed as “…paranoid schizophrenics…” might instead merely be in touch with something invisible to her but visible to them.

On August 7, 2015 the respected Psychology Todayposted an article surprisingly entitled “Can Ouija Boards Trigger Demonic Possession?” 

 Mexican psychiatrist Nashyiela Loa Zavala investigated an outbreak of mass hysteria as a psychogenic illness (aka, mass hysteria) and traced it back to a student who had used a Ouija board to try to influence the outcome of a school basketball game.”
