July is over and done, which means it's time for another one of these round up thingies.

Things were a bit quieter last month, but that's okay! We all need a bit of downtime now and again (or, for some of us, a month spent furiously working on our ACBB works because we started writing it in 2016 and were absolutely determined that this was the year we finished the thing).

Of the 41 fills people created, 34 were fic, 5 were art, one person created a lovely artwork-poem combo, and another wrote and performed a song!

In terms of ships, Merlin/Arthur are again the most popular (19 fills), followed by gen (nine fills). Merlin/Leon hit their personal best with four fills, coming in joint third with Merlin/Lancelot. Merlin/Arthur/Gwaine got two fills, and then Merlin/Gwaine, Arthur/Gwen and Gwaine/Lancelot all got one.

"I think your boyfriend's jealous", Sybill grinned around the joint.

Remus turned to where Sirius sat with Peter and James, the three trying to climb up a tree to get James' jacket that he had chucked up there earlier; but Sirius, halfway up the tree, was instead staring right at Remus and Sybill.

"They're not my boyfriend", Remus muttered, holding back a grin as Sirius lost their grip and fell to the ground, right on top of Peter.

Sybill huffed out a cloud of smoke and leaned face to face with Remus, "I have the sight."

"So do I."

She quirked an eyebrow in question.

Remus moved even closer to her, stealing her joint and taking a blow, "James is going to come running over here yelling that Peter threw his shoe at him, and then will eye the weed and start pretending to madly cough while Sirius uses the opportunity to throw their own shoe, in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1-"

At that moment James came running over, "Remus! Remus help me! Pete threw his shoe at me and I think my heads bleeding!"

Remus gave a smug smile to Sybill just as James' eyes narrowed in on the fag between Remus's lips.

"Oh Merlin, Moony!", he said between dramatic coughs, "It's burning my lungs, think about what it must be doing to you!"

He carried on coughing, heavier and heavier until a black boot got thrown at his head. Sirius burst out in laughter behind him.

Sybill lightly pushed away Remus' head, "That is called spending too much time together, not having the sight."

Remus shrugged and grabbed his stick, starting to stand up, "come on then Prongs, let's get you checked by Pomfrey."

Sybill grabbed his palm and stared at it for a moment before solemnly shaking her head and letting go.

Remus just laughed and passed her his already rolled up joint before helping the others help James up.

He waved to Sybill, "Happy birthday!"

"Thank you for the present, even though you smoked most of it", she leaned back.

Remus grinned again, pulling an irritated Sirius by the sleeve who immediately perked up as Remus switched his attention to them.

Sybill shuffled for her lighter, when Pandora Lovegood sat right in front of her, lighter in hand.

She eyed the lighter, a sleek black fancy dupont.

She leaned forwards as Pandora flicked it open, "That yours?"

Pandora held back a laugh, "absolutely not. I stole it from Regulus. Though he never smokes so I'm a little worried what he uses it for. But who am I to judge if he likes lighting things on fire, as long as it's not a person or something."

Sybill smiled.

Pandora reached into her crocheted bag, "I got you something, I saw it in this tiny little shop near Cas'."

She pulled out another bag, made of a wool material but the small handle was wooden. A design of flowers and random patterns littered across it.

Sybill grinned, "I love it."

"Wait- don't open it! Em's present inside, she'll be here soon, her class is probably running late."

At that moment, Emmeline Vance came running over, running backwards while finishing a conversation with Mary that only stopped once the two were so far away from each other that they could no longer hear the other.

"Happy Birthday!" Emmeline grinned, sitting down, "Oh, open the bag! Open the bag!"

Sybill opened it, pulling out a packet of tarot cards and a silver box that held a crystal ball inside.

"Now I can tell you your future", Sybill said, already opening the tarot cards.

"Can you do that while high?" Pandora asked, leaning over to kiss Sybill, mouthful of smoke.

"You can do anything while high", Sybill answered after a moment.

Emmeline laughed, before getting distracted by the small flame erupting everytime Pandora flicked the lighter, over and over.

"Want to read my future?", Emmeline said, still mesmerised by the fire.

Sybill grabbed her face, turning her head to face her, "No. I just want to be here at the moment. The future can wait."

She knew they wouldn't have long together. But there was now. And that had to be enough.

The first drawing is of my partner's favourite Homestuck character for Christmas The second is NISCHA because Mischa x Noel supremacy The next two are really bad school doodles so the proportions are a tad off and once again Mischa and Noel <3 because I love them so much this was back in my really massive RTC brainrot Then after that - still school doodles - a RTC Homestuck AU concept an absolute wild random crossover Noel is a Pisces so I just made him a Fuschia blood because I said so and his classpect is Prince Of Doom which I thought of in a lot of depth but I can't be bothered to explain right now and I may expand on this AU and explain it in more depth in the future but I could comment about it later I'm not sure feel free to ask IG Then a drawing of Newt Scamander from my FBAWTFT phase that I am really not proud of as the proportions are messed up and I really tried to trust the process and I even accidentally ripped bits off trying to get it to work but I tried IG sometimes drawings just don't work out I do have a few other Newt doodles I might post later and I even drew Eddie Redmayne a bunch for GCSE art coursework lmfao Then theres Merlin from my Merlin Phase and I designed a tarot card I was going to do Arthur but I got lazy and I might digitalise and render this in the future After that there's another drawing for my partner of their Homestuck OC Then pretty damn old drawings of Lucifer for a commission and another based off a really well written fanfic I read and it is actually one of the rare as hell times I've bothered doing a full scene of a character with a background (I've done that like 2 other times so I am rather proud of this still) if you want the fanfic I'd be down to try and find it

Sonic Quilford AU thing 5. Yes, we're still going.

When Amy was 8, she ran off from her parents while they were all on vacation to Never Lake, after getting into her uncle's tarot cards and predicting that she'd end up running into her true love. Yes, it would take a long amount of time, but they were destined to be. Though, she didn't understand why it would be a painful turnaround... (It's because Metamy is canon, and it's referring to Metal, not Sonic)

As inspired by this headcanon by @autisticshadowthehedgehog, Gerald ended up building a device to keep possibilities open in case the Black Arms ever ended up on Earth. It was later found by Team Chaotix, who decided to call it the "Black Arm Temporal Reset Button", or the BATRB for short. Whenever any of the many sensors around Westopolis or Central City(where City Escape takes place) detected something 75% Black Arm, it would activate the button, allowing a "reset" back to when it first sensed the DNA

Because of their usage of the BATRB, Team Chaotix are aware something was altered in relation to Sonic's vacation in Soleanna around his 15th Birthday, but they're not sure what

Rather than what happen in canon, the Time Eater held Volcanic Vault, Star Light, Mystic Cave, Good Future!Tidal Tempest, Sandopolis, Twinkle Park, Green Forest, Hang Castle, the original Egg Carrier, White Acropolis, Arid Sands, and Starlight Carnival in Non Existence(the white void. It's also where Solaris stayed before he was dragged back into existence). Combining with this, Ray, Mighty, Big and Omega were dragged in as well. Ray, as the first person to become Sonic's friend, is in Volcanic Vault from Segasonic(as that's the first adventure in my timeline). Mighty's in Star Light Zone, bumping Tails and Amy to join Knuckles in matching Zone with what game they debuted in. Big was just around, fishing. Omega was in the Egg Carrier, joining the rest of the E Series(Zero, who's going to CORRECTLY be called Alpha, Beta, Gamma(who is our Gamma, he just can't stop himself), Delta, Epsilon, and Zeta) in a "boss fight". Shadow's Rival Battle also gets a change in scenery, with it taking place in ShTH's GUN Fortress rather than in Final Chase. Silver's and Metal's still take place in Crisis City and Bad Future!Stardust Speedway though

Espio, due to ninja training, got used to blood/gore/death by age 8. However, after starting the Chaotix Detective Agency with Vector and Charmy, and to the shock/humiliation of his older siblings(Kancho(Boy, 2 years older), and Kokoroe(Girl, 2 years older)), he started weening off this, learning how to open his heart again. This all came to a head when the Metal Virus happened, when Espio fully learned how death was supposed to feel. Going back to his training, he beat up Zazz to the point where the insane Zeti felt fear for the 2nd time in his life from all the blood coating the chameleon's kunai and shurikens. No matter how much Zeena and Zomnom mock Zazz for considering Espio terrifying, he never buckles in his opinion. Who would after being ambushed by a cloth-covered, furious specter of death that walks among the people of the ground

Sonic does have counterparts in both "1001 Arabian Nights" and "King Arthur and the Knights of The Round Table", being Uhu the Wind Djinn and the real Arthur Penquilon(whom Merlin(Eggman) never wanted in charge, due to his odd nature)

Sonic's bilingual, as he knows a fair amount of Spanish, thanks to two of the caretakers at the Christmas Island Orphanage. Due to this, Sonic consistently liters what he says with Spanish, to the point that Tails and Amy have picked it up, along with his therapist(his Red Two-Tone Neutral Fly/Fly Chao, Nightgown)

Basic Info: The Merlin Tarot Fest is a fanfic and fanart challenge using tarot and oracle cards as prompts. The fanworks do not need to focus on or even include tarot, but rather will be inspired by randomly pulled card(s). Each participant will be given their own card/card combination to inspire them! You will be able to decide if you want 1, 2, 3, or 5 cards for your inspiration. You will also be able to choose your pull from a limited selection of different tarot & oracle decks.

Requirements: For fanfic, writers must write a story of at least 750 words. For fanart, artists must create at least 1 completed piece.

Posting will be open JANUARY 1 - MARCH 31

Posting will not be scheduled or assigned. All participants can feel free to post to the AO3 collection anytime within the allotted posting time frame. The collection is currently closed and will reopen on January 1st.

Trust me, you need to leave this environment—if not yet physically, at least interpersonally. But trust me, you will have to travel eventually. One day, a shooting star will shock you and shake your entire foundation of reality and you will want to escape this situation.

When you travel and learn more about the world, you will gradually see your true place in it. Your beauty is not of this world and you’re originally a star meant to shine a bright light upon this dark space. You’re destined to heal this world with your beauty and talents. All of this is trying to say: don’t be afraid of being stuck where you are now. This is not even your prologue yet!

Don’t let other people treat you badly just because you love them. And to that, I add: don’t even bother explaining yourself to those who are already devoted to misunderstanding you.

So, if you must be courageous at all in order to be happy, it is that you must be courageous about letting go of people and situations that do not serve you anymore. Sounds cliché, but what else can I say? You cling too hard because you care, but maybe you cling because you’re afraid of being alone—because that would make you feel worthless; like you mean nothing to anybody at all. And facing those thoughts is scary. And it is precisely why happiness requires courage. Courage to face your own nasty little demons in your head.

Are you at the DJ booth or are the nasty little demons in control of it? If you convince yourself that you can’t beat the demons, it is only because you’re used to being dramatically tragical. I’m not being cruel with you; I’m blasting out the truth about the shit music in your head. Play a different song, like this one.

You want to revive that child and apologise and promise that from now on you will endeavour to become an adult it can be proud of. The adult it once dreamt of becoming. There’s no one else can make that child proud and happy; that adult is you, anyway.
