Do you like writing? Are you an MCYT fan? Do you sometimes struggle with getting that one character's dialogue to sound just right?

Well, I have a solution:

Echo's MCYT writing cheat sheet doc!

Featuring notes on 80+ CCs ranging from Hermitcraft, Empires SMP, and the Life Series to QSMP, this Google doc has now been in the works for nearly two years (since November 2021!), currently comprises 18k+ words, and still receives tweaks and updates pretty much every day.

Contents of each CC's section on the doc (which are in alphabetical order!) include:

Commonly used words/phrases - adjectives and adverbs! Exclamations! Filler phrases and words! and other turns of phrase that make their speech distinct from others

Sentence structure - including transcriptions of example sentences that help get an idea of how exactly someone tends to say (and stumble over) their words!

Interaction with others - do they use nicknames? Which ones? What little phrases do they tend to say in conversation?

Typing - how do they type in Minecraft chat? What emoticons do they use? Do they send one long message, or several short ones? Should it be all lowercase? Do they use apostrophes? and more, with example screenshots!

In-game movement - how do they move their cubito? Do they shuffle around on the spot while talking, or stand still to look someone in the face? How expressive are they? Do they shift for emphasis, or nod? etc!

and other random characterisation notes - any fun facts about their character that you might want to keep in mind while writing!

There's also some bonus content outside of the specific character sections - links to general writing resources, recaps and summaries and quotes from the series the CCs on the doc have been involved in, as well as notes, conversation transcripts and clips I've compiled for some specific character dynamics!

(Important disclaimer: This isn't a 100% comprehensive guide - I'm just one person, and this is entirely comprised of notes I take while watching, so it's never going to be perfect or fully accurate. It also varies a lot on its level of detail for each CC, because I watch some people more than others, and in the case of QSMP there's language barriers involved, too.)

But I do think it can be pretty helpful. So if you're struggling, maybe consider giving this doc a try - you might find something useful inside! <3

You were just streaming Minecraft. It was a pretty chill and cozy stream where you were decorating your mushroom house and talking with your chat. You had a little community in Spanish and English but your viewers were around 1k per stream.

Your calm voice was accompanied by the background music on Minecraft while you were mumbling to a song that was stuck in your head since last week.

And then you saw your Twitch display.

Quackity was on stream…¿he was going to play garthic phone?

You NEEDED to see that.

— Okay…ma babies, I will end this stream right here.— You said, laughing a little bit.

A lot of comments started to pop up. “Why???” “noooo pliss :c” “I just started watching TT” “mi casitaaa, don't go”

— Well…you know, Quackity …he…he just started a Spanish stream and I want to see it. — You whisper to the microphone fast. Your cheeks were red from embarrassment. “So, all of you should go. We have one rule in this place, "If mi casita is streaming, go to see it” After a silly tone of voice you smile at the camera and wave a little wave. “Babays”

“She had a crush on him, umm. Our mommy is gonna leave us. TT” A last-time donation came up in your scream and the robotic voice read it. You open your eyes surprised and completely flutter.

— I-I, I don’t, mierda. wHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS? — Your chat started calling you cute and being dramatic for leaving them when you turned off the camera. Your hot face and silly but cute expression were the last images that you gave them.

Then, you went to the other stream, and continued with your Minecraft real, while listening to a lot of Spanish swearing.

…

It only took one week to blow off.

That little clip of your last stream kinda became viral on TikTok.

“The girl that ends up her stream for Quackity”

Oh god, oh my god.

This was so embarrassing. On one side, you didn’t mean any of this but your account kinda blows up with a lot of new people and subs. But, there was also a thing that you have never dealt with before, haters. Who said that you only wanted attention, that you were just a fangirl who wanted to meet him. Just pick me.

That makes you uncomfortable, you didn’t know how to deal with all that shit, but still tried to look calm like always on your streams. With 5k viewers on you, it was a little hard to read all the comments while you were playing Valorant, but you could see a lot of comments referring to the Mexican streamers.

You’re nervous. You didn’t mean any of this, and first of all, you did not want to disturb Quackity.

You just hope that this incident just passes like any other TikTok and were replaced.

“Have you seen the girl who just turned off her stream for you? Such a pick me”

The robotic voice was heard after the donation and Quackity just could give a confused look. His chat seemed to know about the topic, and they started spamming his discord with certain TikTok.

— What are you talking about, guys? — He opened one of them and your voice filled his stream.

Quackity saw your relaxing face while singing, your brown eyes lit up when she saw something, and you had a cute little smile. And your wavy hair follows your head movements when you face the camera with an embarrassed expression.

“Well…you know, Quackity …he…he just started a Spanish stream and I want to see it. “

He knew he had fans, a lot of them actually, but that little clip of you just ending your stream for him makes him kinda happy. His heart warms up while you shout to your chat, like, and intern joke. His cheeks feel a little hot and the smile across his face captures the chat's attention.

“She’s cute”

“New ship, new ship”

“She just wanted fame I think.”

“I follow her, pure mommy vibes”

“She has been harassed on her last streams for this, what a shame. “

That little comment took him back to the earth.

— “Guys, you know that I don’t support any of this behavior. Please, if you comment shitty things to this pretty girl, you’re not part of my community” — Alex didn’t notice the pretty on his lips when he called you and almost immediately went to your stream to follow you.

Little did he know that you were on a drawing stream, too focused on your work to look at your chat. Your live face was so beautiful, even if you were with a messy bum and frowning in concentration.

He donated to you right away.

“Quackity had donated 10 000 bits. And applause for the sugar” Your alert claimed.

“ I like that drawing, I could request a commission someday. I’m sorry for any uncomfortable comment from my community, I thought that your gesture was really funny and sweet :) “

You just drop your pencil for the amount of money and then, when you see the username, your face goes from pale to red in two seconds.

Shit. Shit.

Did he just…. know that you fucking exist for a TikTok?

— “I-I…. Yo…deje mi comida en la estufa. Gracias por la plata. Sleep well chat. “ — And with that, you went off stream.

Quackity blinked two times and then he just bursts off in a laugh.

That was so funny, you were interesting.

“You suck flirting.”

— I was not….I didn’t mean to…fuck off, chat. Let’s enter the server. — He said, rolling his eyes, trying to distract himself from thinking about your last expression and how you couldn’t manage to erase the shy smile off your face.

Did he have that effect on you?

Minecrafters grab your pickaxes, and catch up on the QBLR QUATERLY!

What's up guys, update just dropped! It sure is something to try and decipher, huh. We've got pages of new stuff to go over, so let me learn you a thing about all the events and mishaps that happened on the server this week!

Lava on the dance floor! There's a party held in a lava pool with Button-Stitches and their carers! Other creatures and carers do some egg-sploring and interior decorating. Newer players build their starter houses, but don't let that fool you: even friend invites are being rate-limited because there's just that many players.

Some players take advantage of the sheer amount of ping lag to add in a sheer amount of FPS lag! Bel, Steel, and their friends have a shader player taking some lovely photographs.

Of course, lore and story are significant on this server, and some eggs have unpleasant pasts. Other eggs make their own unpleasant pasts, by obtaining things like the Evil Knife and Amongus Shoes. In the face of such difficult things, the French quarter shows everyone how to properly cope by slutting it up on the warpstones.

And even though things are tough, love still blooms on the server with the first divorce proposal. Big feelings need big words to express them, but sometimes actions speak better than a word ever could.

And now, The Gubby.

Special Event! A Banquet was held for the members of the server with food and drinks from the community farm! Over 70 people RSVP'd and just as many attended, so much that extra chairs had to be brought in for the table. And a special guest crashed the party, everybody meet White Baby.

The white baby continues to appear around the server. Each time, the sky goes black. It is not friendly. There are two attacks at spawn, an attack at the Bog, and an attack at Pirate Cove. It's targeting the creatures. The Fair Folk begin to build circular gardens, something that has never gone wrong before. And the perimeter of the world is fully explored by resident hope sunsail!

A conspiracy theory against the dark magician begins, and an entire room is built dedicated to it. More creatures populate the server, with one splat receiving a second egg named hima after the japanese word for sunflower. The server's first court case happens -- the Quarterly will release a special episode covering it soon.

Spires of sculk begin to push up from the ground around the server. And oh my goodness me, viewers, does it come with one hell of a biome. A new business opens on the server, residents can now hire a hitman baby!

The admins also open a new business: for the low low price of sacrificing someone with over 40 levels, you can obtain one vial of transmuting elixir! This elixir has many uses, including fighting a boss mob.

And, of course, some more autistic minecraft behaviors vis a vis mining for so long Doll started dying of starvation. Further sculk and void pillars arose and suspicion of the Void Followers begins to brew. Rosa's sharestone disappears. Puzzles and riddles are discovered and solved.

That's just about it for this episode, so we leave the server with a firm You can't be acting like that White Baby

My MCYT fanfic worldbuilding!

Both for anyone who's interested in how I imagine the minecraft sphere so to speak works and for linking to my ao3 page, here is my MCYT worldbuilding! Long post ahead! This gets updated regularly as well.

World

Gods and other beings

Jeb and Notch are the Elder Gods. They created the other gods and the prime players. These days they have disappeared, and nobody seems to know where they are.

Kristin is the goddess of Death, and she’s not a fan of the Watchers. Phil is an ex Watcher, but defected and joined Kristin. They fell in love.

Most of Kristin's angels were originally mortals. On very rare occasions, when someone died in a certain way which really captures her attention she might decide to ask them to join her ranks. This is how Scott became an angel of hers. A few of her angels are kids of other angels.

The Watchers were at war with the Voidwalkers for a while. It ended when the Watchers massacred them. Xisuma and EX are considered to be the only survivors. Hoping something to End and Aether is generally a Voidwalker expression, though older immortals have been known to sometimes adopt it as well.

Techno used to be a mortal who was very good at PVP, so an evil god forcefully ascended him to be a demigod and made him work for him. Techno at one point killed him (probably temporarily, though that god hasn’t been nearly as influential since) and became a demigod in his own right.

Prime players were the first players created by the Elder Gods. It’s unknown how many there are, since they tend to stay in hiding. What sets prime players apart from normal players is that respawns have no effect on their souls and that they don’t age. Meaning they are functionally immortal. There are ways to kill them, but no normal mortal could get them to stay down so to speak.

Players can become admins through training. Not everybody has the natural aptitudes to become an admin. Everyone can access the code of the world if they learn how to, but utilising it wrong can be the end of someone.

You can generally respawn infinitely, but it slowly eats away at your soul. And at some point you don’t respawn anymore. This is generally the same as dying of old age, but it’s not uncommon for very heavy pvp players to die younger because their soul is ruined by continuous respawns.

On ascensions

Any god can ascend a mortal to become a demigod. But it's a violent act and will usually completely kill off the world the former mortal was inhabiting. And it hurts. A lot. The combination of these factors is what made Eret's ascension so bad. Because usually the newly ascended demigod will wake up with their god. But Eret didn't. They woke up alone in a dead realm.

Cults can try to get a gods attention to get them to ascend one of their own to demigod status. Really, no good gods will respond to these rituals. They usually involve mass sacrifice.

Gods can also just choose to ascend a living mortal, but again, this is not often done and when it is, usually only by evil gods. That's what happened to Techno.

Kristin works in a different way. When mortals die she sometimes (very rarely) offers them to become one of her angels. Her angels are demigods, but due to being in her service they are referred to as angels.

Demons are demigods aligned to Kristin's undefined evil counterpart.

Worlds

Worlds are generally connected to hubworlds. Travelling to other worlds usually happens through these. Hubworlds can vary from simple planes with rows and rows of portals to massive cities where people live, interspersed with portals. It’s not uncommon for kids to get dumped on hubworlds to fend for themselves. They often end up banding together, since hubworlds are pretty often fairly hostile places to live in due to the lack of admin oversight. Kids like this are generally called children of the hub.

Besides travelling through official portals there are ways to jump to other worlds. This is why you can protect your worlds with whitelists. They take the form of physical barriers in the code surrounding worlds. Think of it like a satellite defence system around a planet. Worldhoppers are players who make a habit of jumping from world to world without portals. Often these are players who grew up in the hub and learned admin magic through other people. They basically break into other worlds and thus aren’t always seen as the best people. Most worldhoppers are friendly though. Hubkids often end up worldhopping, at least during their teenage years until they find a place to settle down or until a mistake tears their soul apart.

Sometimes worlds connect themselves to each other through rifts. Nobody knows how these occur, and they can’t really be controlled. Maybe gods could control them, but nobody below them.

There is something called being worldlocked. Its generally something the Watchers do to worlds as a punishment. It involves messing with the code of the world and all the people on it. Leaving them unable to leave the world and unable to contact anyone outside of it. A lot of locked worlds eventually devolve into chaos due to the isolation, with people turning on each other.

Improper coding of a world can lead to the world getting corrupted. What happens to corrupted worlds varies, but generally they completely destroy themselves and everyone on it. EVO got corrupted, less due to Grian making mistakes but more due to being an experimental world surrounded by experimental worlds that were corrupted. The Watchers helped the process along as a punishment for Grian.

Hardcore worlds are worlds that lock you out when you die. You simply can’t enter them anymore, only view them through your communicator. Dying in them is also way harder on your soul, so players are weary of playing in them too much.

On exorcising players.

Sometimes players can get overtaken by things. Vexes are the most common, though there are other things. Glitched “networks”, like mycelium or more recently, sculk.

Zooming in more on the Vex. The Vex aren't fully sentient like players or more-than-players are. But they aren’t quite mobs either. They exist in a space between categories, but have a strong desire to achieve… more. The way they try to achieve this is by trying to possess vulnerable players. They don’t often succeed, but when they do they will try to take over servers and hubworlds. They kind of function like a computer virus. Overtaking a player and ‘overlapping’ their code with their own Vex code manipulation.

Sculk and Mycelium work a little differently. They are more so connected through a hivemind. A sculk block is the same as a warden is the same as a shrieker is the- you get the point. The sculk is not an individual block. And it has one goal. To spread. To overtake more of a world. To overtake more players. Similar to Vex it will latch on to a player and ‘overlap’ their code with its own.

Exorcising players from any type of possession is possible, but a nasty process. First of all it requires someone with at powers at least akin to a voidwalker or a prime player. Then they basically have to tear the Vex, sculk or mycelium from the player line by line. Piece by piece. And it hurts. Especially when the player regains enough awareness to recognise that they are being hurt by someone they know, but not why or how. Removing sculk can leave scars akin to burn scars.

Characters backstories (incomplete)

Hermits

Grian: Parrot hybrid. Was a child of the hub at some point with Jimmy, he met Mumbo during this time. Created EVO and was spotted and taken by the Watchers. Escaped them after give or take two years and broke into Hermitcraft during his escape.

Scar: Human-ish. Was fully human until he got possessed by vexes together with Cub. He had to be exorcised by Xisuma. While the vex are now gone he still has powers related to their possession. The downside is that he’s still haunted by hallucinations(?) of their possession. Disabled besides that and uses a cane on bad days.

Pearl: Moth hybrid. Grew up together with Grian and later Jimmy. She can’t really remember her early childhood, but her defining moment was Grian’s disappearance and later the corruption of EVO. Right around the time Grian escaped the Watchers she was taken and turned into one. Later she ran into Grian again on Hermitcraft.

Gem: A young admin who ran small building worlds. She met Pearl through a building competition she was hosting. Gave Pearl shelter after EVO fell.

False: Child of the hub. Was one of the youngest leaders of the group she was in until she gave herself up to a Hypixel manager to rescue one of the younger kids when she was 12. Fought there until she was 17 and Techno and Phil gave her a chance to escape.

Etho: Grew up on an anarchy server akin to 2B2T where he’d attack people with his redstone. Got possessed by corrupted mycelium at one point which left it’s scars on him mentally.

Joe: Prime player. He’s very old (being a prime player makes him immune to dying of old age). Can’t remember where he grew up but he travelled around from server to server until he found Cleo. Then he travelled with her until they joined Hermitcraft. Gets nauseous when travelling though portals.

Cleo: Originally human. From a big city server that fell to a corrupted virus. It turned the server into a zombie apocalypse. She barely escaped with her life and ran into Joe. She later returned to her server after a family member contacted her, but was infected herself. Joe saved her life.

Xisuma and EX: Voidwalkers. Grew up in the end. EX is the older brother but was always treated as evil due to a misinterpreted prophecy. Which became a self-fulfilling one. The entire population of Voidwalkers was attacked by the Watchers, who’d they’d been at war with. Xisuma and EX were the presumed only survivors.

Tango: Blaze hybrid. From the nether, was taken to a lab which he later escaped from together with Doc.

Iskall: Former human, now a human with cybernetic parts. Was in an accident which, due to fucked up respawn mechanics on his homeworld, left him needing the cybernetic parts.

Doc: creeper/human/cyborg hybrid. Created in a lab. Escaped from the lab together with Tango.

Emperors/related to them

Jimmy: Canary hybrid. Child of the hub. Watched EVO get destroyed and barely escaped with his life.

Martyn: Human, was on EVO with the other EVO people and got separated from them during the escape. His shoulder has never quite been the same since he had to reset it himself.

Scott: An Angel of Death. Under the command of Philza and in turn, under the goddess of death. Which means he worked together with Eret, Foolish and Techno.

Oli: Human who dropped out of admin school.

Fwhip: Human admin.

Pixel: Prime player.

Owen: Human(?) worldhopper. Child of the hub who at one point met Eloise and Bek. They travel together. He has admin powers (like all worldhoppers) but never trained officially. Gets nauseous when travelling though portals which also applies to worldhopping.

Bekyamon: Human worldhopper.

Eloise: Human worldhopper.

DSMP/QSMP

Philza: Angel of death, Kristin's husband. Used to be a watcher (it's unknown wether he was a player before this), but defected and joined Kristin. They slowly fell in love after his he joined her. Says he was born mortal as a cover story (may partially be true)

Technoblade: Blood God. Demigod who used to be a mortal until he was forecefully ascended by a higher evil god. Techno destroyed his vessel in revenge and the evil god hasn't been seen since. Works together with Phil and Kristin.

Eret: Demigod who used to be a mortal wither hybrid. Worked with Phil, Techno and Kristin and was/is platonic partners with Foolish. Gets nauseous when travelling though portals.

Foolish: Shark/totem hybrid demigod. It's unknown if he was born mortal or not.

Wilbur: Kristin's and Phil's mortal son. We all know how his story ends.

Hey Mumbo, hey hi yeah big fan anyways- for research purposes, would you perhaps ask the resident permit office worker for something like an appointment maybe? Maybe for something like a copy of one of your permits.. the warty one, and say that you want a copy to give your business partner...

I just want to see what would happen really, I have three hypotheses rn:

a. Grian becomes tortured by the bit and an inner war wages on whether he drags this out as long as possible or does it lightning fast. He keeps going back and forth while Mumbo is clueless, ending in somewhere of a happy middle ground and they part ways as quickly as they met.

b. He does drag it out as long as possible making it an ongoing bit that persists through three server wars two more charity streams and a major Minecraft update that makes em load more chunks. In their final episode they end their POVs in the permit office which is now decrepit, more like an abandoned building than usual with holes in the roof and rain dripping inside. Grian finally passes the permit over to Mumbo and the world implodes.

c. He completes everything in a quarter of an episode and gets the permit same day, express delivery. Joel loses his mind and we see "grian was slain by smallishbeans" in the chat eight times in a row, and "grian was slain by goodtimewithscar" about ten.

Please sir, I beg you, do it for the bit.

like. okay seriously if you have not played vault hunters before and were considering getting into it but were too intimidated: NOW IS THE TIME. most of the lag/performance issues are solved (not all of them, it IS modded minecraft, but it's SO MUCH BETTER than it was around update 5). the earlygame has been made much faster and easier to play through (completing vaults early is now super doable!), and even if you're in the situation of "i don't have time to grind", you can now use /gamerule vaultLoot NORMAL or /gamerule vaultLoot PLENTY to make the loot and experience progression move either two times or three times faster, therefore making the game faster. the three vault modes - normal, hardcore, and casual - make it so you can adjust the amount of 'roguelike' in the roguelike to something more enjoyable to you.

but the biggest thing? THE GUIDEBOOK. i can't express enough how much the guidebook, step-by-step, finally explains every relevant game mechanic IN-GAME! no more "wait i don't know how to do this vital in-game thing", the game now explains it to you! it even adjusts for skyblock if you choose to play in skyblock!

if you wanna start playing vault hunters now is super the time! go for it!

KeeperTale - An AU where the Justice and Perseverance humans were childhood friends with the First Human. Upon learning about their death, the two set out on an adventure to Mt. Ebott. Unfortunately, while one of them sought reason, the other wanted vengeance... and thus the monsters are forced into another war.

UnderPills - An AU where after Asriel and Chara's deaths, the Underground grieved and monsters started turning into dust unprovoked. The Royal Scientist created a CURE that would preserve monsters' life, but… they grew too dependent on the drug.

ATEEZ and your sunburn

You got a really bad sunburn during your beach girl with your besties. This is the way each of the ATEEZ members would react after you came home that evening.

Mingi

As soon as you walk into your bedroom and Mingi sees you, he shakes his head dissapointingly.

"I wore sunscreen-" you tried, but he interrupted you with a tsk-tsk-tsk.

"Now this just wont do." he said, leaning back on his pillow. "Come closer so I can inspect the damage.

You sulk over, and lift your top to show off your back, but once again he tsk-tsk-tsk you.

"Now you know that won't do baby. Strip." he demands. And so you do, because who are you to argue back to your man.

After you are completely naked, he sits up and pulls you to him. "Now why would the sun damaged daddy's previous goods like this?"

San

When you walk into your house, San is already sat in the living room waiting for you.

"I heard you got burned Kitten. This isn't acceptable." he says getting off the coach, before you could even take if your shoes.

"How did you know?" you manage to get out, before he reached you.

"I had your friend give me hourly updates regarding your whereabouts and events. But no stress, Sir has already booked you a Aloe Vera full body massage. We are leaving this instant." he says, putting his own shoes on.

"San, you really didn't have to do that." you say as he guides you out the door.

"Please call me Sir y/n. And no worries, it's the least I could do. Afterwards, we will get Five Guys."

Hongjoong

When you enter your bedroom, you see Hongjoong laying on the bed with a face mask on, half asleep.

"Hongjoong~" you say gently, while starting to pack your stuff away. "I'm back."

He stirs awake quickly at the sound of your voice, and start stretching. "How's my babygiiiirl?" he says with a yawn.

"Not the best, at the beach I-" you begin, but he cuts you off.

"Not the best? I will hurt however put you in a bad moo- oh god, oh no, oh god, what happened to my precious babygirl's skin!" Hongjoong says when he finally sits up and sees your burnt state.

"The sun burned me" you say pouting.

"This wont do!" he says, jumping of the bed, removing his face mask and putting it on your burnt face. "Wait here!"

He runs to the bathroom, and when he returns he's got a tube with aftersun cream. "Lay down on the bed."

You do, and he spends the next hours rubbing you with lotion.

Junho

You walked into the room, and at first Jongho didn't notice your bright red face and burning legs and arms, because he was playing Minecraft on this Nintendo Switch. You guys did your greetings, and you just headed to the bathroom to take a shower and apply your aloe vera.

When you came back into the bedroom, and Jungho finally looked up on you, a confused expression crossed his face.

"Y/n.. why are you red all over..." he said, while slowly lowering his switch.

"Because I got burned." you sigh back, while sitting down in the bed.

"Burned...? I don't understand." he said.

"By the sun? Like sunburned?"

His mouth opens in a shocked expression, and he looks you up and down.

"Oh no!! How dare the sun do that!! I will kissy kissy it all good with my healing mouth!" he said, before lifting your shirt and giving you kisses all over your tummy.

"Ow, that hurts!" you say, but he is busy moving on to your legs.

Seonghwa

You walk into you apartment and are met with Seonghwa sat on the floor in the living room, building a LEGO set.

"Seonghwa I'm home!" you say making your way into the living room, and you see him smile at your voice. However, when his gaze lifts up to you, his smile turns into an awkard grimace.

"Oh wow y/n! That's, ehh, that sure is one hell of a tan!" he says awkwardly

"It's not a tan, I got burned Seonghwa, badly aswell." you say, showing him your arms and legs. By this, his eyes widen.

"Oh no.... y/n, do you know what percentage the sun UV's need to be at for you to get burned like that! And do you know the statistics for how much excessive sun can turn into skin damage, or worse, cancer! You need to calculate all the outcomes before you put yourself into suck ris-" he starts panicking, but you break off his nerd-spew by kissing him. You break the kiss after a while, and grabs his head. "Shut up, and help lotion me up bad boy."

Yeosang

As soon as you enter the door to your apartment, you hear the American national anthem blasting from the living room. Extremely confused, and in alot of pain, you walk in to see Yeosang and Seonghwa in matching pj's, having a little traditional jig.

"Wha-" is all you manage to get out before Yeosang waltzes over to you.

"My dearest, why do you appear so scarlet? Are you quite well?"

You sigh and shake your head.

"No, I got burned today at the beach Yeosang."

"Oh no, what a terrible outcome! I wish you best recoveries, however I must continue entertaining my company. I will see you in the bed chamber later." he says, before waltzing back over to Seonghwa. You sigh, and go to the bathroom to take care of your burns.

Wooyoung

When Wooyoung first lays eyes on you as you enter your apartment, you could feel his whole soul sinking.

"Woo.." you tried gently, but he turned around, not wanting to look at you.

"I promise I was careful-" you try again, but he cuts you off.

"What was it all for? All the aloe I grow, the premium sun screen, the cover ups and the umbrellas?" he says, a whimper in his voice telling you he is about to cry.

"Oh, Woo.. I'll be okay." you say, walking up to him and embracing him. Feeling your touch, he can't help it - the beasts within him dies down and he starts crying, hugging you back.

"I just don't want Woo's girl to be in pain." he hulks.

"I know Wooyoung, I know."

Yunho

You come home, and Junho is dead asleep. You try to wake him up, but nothing works so you leave him be and go take your shower. When you are done, he is still fast asleep, so you give him a little nudge.

"Junhoooo~" you try waking him up, mostly because you want someone to feel sorry for you for the painful burns all over your body.

He finally stirs a little, and you lean down next to him, with a small pout.

"Wahh.. what's up, y/n?" Junho says tiredly, with a yawn at the end of the sentence, still with his eyes shut.

"I got burned today at the beach" you pout. He finally opens one eye, looking at you quickly, before he yawns again.

"Damn, that sucks." he says, before turning over and falling back asleep.

With me coming back to minecraft after 5 long years and the recent mob vote dredging up what seems to be old debates, I have but a question. Why are the most hated mobs the ones people chose to vote in?

I was only around for the Phantom getting voted in, and I loved that thing. I was entirely disconnected from Internet culture at the time so I had no idea what other people thought then. But now every one hates them, despite the fact it won all those years ago meaning most people did want it in? They're annoying but you can go so long without ever seeing one by just right-clicking a bed every now and again, you don't even have to sleep.

The others are the Glow Squid, Allay and Sniffer if I'm not mistaken?

The Glow Squid is useless I have no idea why yall voted that thing in. They're also really stupid, intelligence wise I mean. Most of the ones I've seen have killed themselves almost instantly.

Allay is pretty good ig, its kinda ignored.

But people seem to hate the Sniffer. Why? Its cool, it's hard to find but it gives you unique decorations. People seem salty that it doesn't help their PVP build or instant farms. Not everything needs a mechanical purpose, it just needs a purpose in general. (Again, I hate the Glow Squid why in the everyloving fuck did you guys want that over a flower Mooshroom or a new type of Illager that has ice powers?! I love Illagers, they're my favourite class of mob, the fact more of them were added whilst I was away combined with raids is so good.)

1.20 has been more of a decorative update in general and that's seemed to have pissed people off. Why? Minecraft isn't just PvP survival, it's also a building game. Arguably it's mainly a building game. Having more options in customization in vanilla is good, there's more player expression. The Sniffer was actually the perfect mob to go along with this update, so good job guys. Now if some of you could stop being hypocrites that'll be great.

Hello friends and fans!! I finally have some updates for ya’ll!

I’ve been working on this project alone for months, specifically since the day Pixelberry announced they will no longer continue forward with Immortal Desires. I was so crushed and saw so many other players and fans feel the same way. So, I decided to start messing around with making my own fan sequel after seeing @itlivesproject @thedistantshoresproject and @nightboundthesecond doing so well and seeing amazing products. I’m going to school for a BA in Game Art and Design, and my minor is Creative Writing, and I thought this would be a good go for my first video game. And I couldn’t be more excited to see things falling into place! I now have a writer onboard! Meet Mir! @timetravesty Hey everyone, I’m Mir and I’ll be helping out with the Immortal Desires 2 project! I’m a writer here on tumblr (couple of months till I hit the 1 year mark😯) and am really excited to be a part of this amazing project with everyone, but more importantly, helping deliver an amazing story to a series that ended too soon! Since we might know each other for a bit, some fun facts about me 🤔I’ve wanted a dog since I was around 6. I probably listen to my Spotify account 20/24 hours in the day.My favorite video games to play are animal crossing, stardew, undertale, Minecraft, and I was pretty into Haven recently, which I highly recommend 😌My favorite ghibli movie (since I had a marathon recently) is spirited away.I’m very excited for the future of this project and please look forward to future updates! 😗Nice to meet you all!

I’ve been a long-time fan and player of Choices; I started playing in December of 2016, but I started getting into the fandom somewhere around the end of 2018, and started on an IG that I created way back in 2014. I didn’t really intend to make my IG account about Choices, but I wanted to connect with people who have the same interests as me, and to share my ideas and opinions about the book releases. A very dear friend of mine started teaching me how to collect assets at some point in time, and I’ve been kind of considered a Spoiler Queen ever since then lol. I focused on posting premium scenes because I want everyone to see those scenes since not everyone can afford them. I started making edits way back in October 2019 because I really wanted people to distinguish me. All in all, I’m very fortunate that my best bud showed me how to access these assets.

Ally has been wonderful in helping me acquire assets and just being super supportive and so helpful. She is so enthusiastic about this project and has been just giving the best vibes!

Now that you’ve met the team, time for some awaited updates for ya’ll! First, lets start with the preview!!.

So, to state the obvious, this is everyone in their formal wear! I have also given all of the side characters formal wear, but I felt like these are what the people are screaming for! And of course, we have our lil Sethy-poo included in here too and he got a makeover! If you would be so kind to click play at the video at the top because it’s featuring a rough draft of the title song. It’s my own lil creation, however, I’m recruiting folks from my local music scene to not only help out with this project, but to help support their bands and their projects!

Super bummed that the quality of these dropped because of the formatting, but I have included all three of the new expressions I’ve created: playful, shy, and disgusted. All of the main and primary characters have these faces! I have also gotten all of the female MC sprite sheets done, most of the female clothes, and all of the hair; I’m so excited to give you guys that update in the future!! From here, Mir and I will be working on a very rough draft of the story. I will continue working on assets for the MC since almost all of the primary/main characters are done.

The next update will likely be a few weeks from now; I’m not sure what I’ll have for ya’ll quite yet, but please stay tuned and ask any and all questions. Thank you all for the overwhelming amount of support and love; it’s greatly appreciate between me and the team.

ok so here are my thoughts about this years minecraft live.

overall it was .... okay. i felt like there was a lot more padding than usual, like we only got small bits of information with large amounts of exposition in between. that could be from the whole "learning from last year in promising too much and delivering too little", so who knows.

minecraft legends looks fun. i like that the world is randomly generated each time so everyone will get a unique experience. the mechanics look interesting and seem to fit together nicely. the design of the mobs and plants and environments are really nice. im interested to see just how much of the game there is, the replayability, the longevity of the game, but overall looks like a solid game. ill probably buy it when it releases

the update reveal.... well, they gave us virtually nothing so i cant really comment on it. as previously stated idk why theyre only just learning how to properly do gameplay reveals, but im glad they took the criticism from the fiasco that was 1.19 and are actually listening. maybe listening a bit too much? we literally have no clue what this updates theme is. like last year they revealed to much so now theyre going the polar opposite direction and revealing nothing. ppl in my discord server were saying maybe a building update considering the new blocks and new default skins which ties into the whole "self expression" shit, so we'll see.

a quick aside, i gotta mention how absolutely vague the update description agnes gave was. "this year we want self expression and representation. we want identity and to unite all players together. and this year we did just that, with this update, that will connect players and identity, and representation". she spoke around what the actual theme was then said they want to make minecraft "minecraftier". what the fuck does that mean. anyway.

hanging signs are cool, they were frequently requested so im glad theyre finally being implemented, and in varying shapes and positions. no complaints there.

the chiseled bookshelf is... cool... but its functionality literally couldve been implemented into the normal bookshelf. plus, the chiseled ones just look better imo. so kinda confused there but oh well.

the new bamboo wood is alright, it looks a little ugly to me. i like the mosaic variety. the bamboo raft confuses me as it functions exactly like a normal boat, so im not sure the need to differentiate.

the camels are the BEST part of this livestream. they seem super dope and well designed with interesting and fun mechanics. anything that adds to the barren deserts is a godsend. 2 player rideable mob with a dash move? sign me up. my only concern is... theyre so intricate it makes classic mobs look so boring. the camels have a specific getting up and laying down animation complete with ear twitch animations and dashes while the cow just. stands there. so not super great in that department

and finally, the mob vote. SNIFFER SWEEP. i dont have much to say about this bc obviously the sniffer would win. it was the most interesting out of all of them. i had no doubts but the confirmation is exciting.

its 2am as i write this and im tired so thats all im gonna say for now. i probably forgot stuff and ill probably remember stuff later so ill probably more than likely make more rants tomorrow

Quick question, because I've wondering this for ages, what exactly are the watchers and why is watcher!grian such a common headcanon?

they’re from an older series grian, pearl, martyn, jimmy, bigb, and a few others were in, called evo! i have yet to properly watch evo (and probably won’t I just don’t have time I’m sorry) so I’m not the best source on their canon lore. from what I understand they were a mysterious force that left riddles and rewards and punishments for people and helped move them through the minecraft updates (as was the premise of evo). they were also associated with angels to some extent (I’ve seen a picture of that watcher statue it looks like an angel) and were effectively a metaphor for the viewers—hence, watchers!

at the end of grian’s evo series, he beats the dragon and becomes a watcher himself. this is, metaphorically, him leaving the series and him becoming a viewer like the rest of the audience (as evo still continued from there, so metaphorically, grian is a watcher because he, the guy, was a member of the audience watching his friends’ series). however the fandom also enjoys using the watcher stuff as an excuse to make grian a “biblically accurate” angel dude, or to use for angst—a common interpretation (although not the only interpretation) of watchers has them being evil, so “grian was taken by the watchers and forced to become one of them and managed to escape to hermitcraft” has effectively become a stock plot in the fandom. (it doesn’t help that there’s a particular fic that was once extremely popular that helped codify this trope.)

in addition, in martyn’s version of third life/last life specifically, his character occasionally hears voices commanding him to do certain things. at the end of last life, he does some things implying that these voices were watchers, and that they’d created the life series in order to feed of the characters’ suffering. (something something, this still works as a metaphor for an artist having an audience, look I have exactly one part of the watcher stuff I personally latch onto and it’s “oh my god I can be such a pretentious writer about this”.) he also sorta implies watcher!grian is canon in the martyn dub specifically?

notably this isn’t in anyone else’s life series pov, though, and that from what I understand the watchers are actually absent from martyn’s double life pov. also something with his vtuber lore. idk I don’t watch martyn enough to fully explain this one. make of that whatever you will.

watchers are explicitly decanonized from hermitcraft; grian has never intended his lore to involve watchers in hermitcraft and has (more than once I think) brought up that hermitcraft has completely separate stuff he’s doing. this, of course, does not stop fandom, because that do be how fandom do, but like, just be aware that even though some people treat it as the default canon it’s really not, even in the life series arguably unless you’re watching martyn’s pov specifically. so don’t worry about it too much!

anyway you sent this after I wrote the pearl thing so I can also say “I implied that was a watcher but the important thing was that the voice pearl was talking to was metaphorically the audience asking her to justify her actions and expressing it’s sorrow over what had occurred, and pearl responding with her feelings about that”, because like I said, I personally like using watchers to be super pretentious, lol.
