#56: Maiden Holmes
(Using this pic because, gosh, he was pretty in this scene!)
This was such a great series, one of the best Cdramas I've seen so far. The characters were great, the relationships touching, the cases they solved always interesting and the main arc so well-plotted!
What I adored was that both Su Ci and Prince Qi were smart! They were intelligent and cunning and resourceful and lovely, kind people. But mainly, they were Smart(TM)! Both of them! And it was perfectly portrayed in how they both solved the final case, the main arc case, though they approached it from different sides: Su Ci by following clues, Prince Qi by trusting and working with people, winning them over.
Another thing that I loved was that Prince Qi suffered from PTSD caused by that one disastrous battle where he lost all the men under his command for which he never forgave himself even though it was not his fault but the work of a traitor.
Another thing that I loved #2 was how how much everyone loved Prince Qi: his brother (the Emperor himself), the Empress Dowager (even though Prince Qi was the son of her husband's concubine), all the prince's men (every single one of them would've died for him)... Because he was honest to gosh good people and everyone knew it.
I also loved how the relationship between Su Ci and Prince Qi developed, that he always supported her and ever since he found out that she was a woman, he did all that was in his power to change the laws so that she could officially work as an official. That was simply amazing.
Oh, and the ending was perfect. I loved it when found families stick together!

#51: Triage
This was, hands down, the best Thai drama I've seen so far, not just BL but in general. Smart writing, actual character development that you could follow and that was rooted in what was happening on the screen. Beautiful cinematography and amazing music! I really need to praise the score here because it added so much to the story and to the viewers' experience, especially in tense moments. I was smitten!
The drama was my first real introduction to TaeTee. They didn't really make an impression on me in 2 Moons - well, that series in general didn't make an impression on me so there's that - so I didn't actually know them before this drama. But I'm definitely a fan now. They fit their parts perfectly. And you could feel that they were familiar with each other, as in that this wasn't their first project together, so there was none of that awkward getting to know each other first feeling.
Besides the main heroes and their story, their trauma and their fight for each other, who really left a big impression on me was Jinta, the angel or whoever he was who was helping our heroes change their fate. He always seemed so acerbic and put out with his charges but he got to love the boys so much. When at the very end, after Tol did all he could and he did everything right and Tin still got hurt, Jinta came to Tol and simply stroked his head, not saying anything...
This scene was among the ones that truly hit hard. Jinta's gentleness here, after all his vitriolic comments before, seemed so profound.
Another scene that hit hard was when Tol started losing it after Tin's death and Tin's friends, so worried about him and feeling responsible for him, wanted him brought to the psych ward and Tol got so scared and ran and hid...
Looking back, it's interesting that, even though most of the story is told from Tin's POV, the moments that hit me the hardest were all from Tol's POV. His breakdown after Tin's death. Jinta's visit. Tol's despair after Tin's coma, after Tin's parents took Tin home and Tol was left all alone again and he kept it all in, only showing the true depth of his sadness when he was alone...
Loved this drama. Honestly, truly loved it. Sure there were moments when I was hit by a bad case of second hand embarrassment every time the boys tried to convince the other of what was happening, that they were stuck in a time loop. Yeah, I cringed. But what could they do, right? They both only ever had days to stop the other from dying, so...

Scorpia, grousing about Kit and Jade’s upcoming wedding: “I can’t believe my own sister is marrying such a pain in the ass.”
Jade, scoffing and side eying Scorpia and Boorman, nonchalantly holding hands: “Yeah. Couldn’t possibly imagine what that’s like.”
