To say tonight had been filled with surprises was an understatement. Starting at the restaurant when Sadie threw most of her cutlery to the ground, to the waitress flirting mercilessly with Bucky and him not noticing it, Y/N had to admit, it had taken her mind from the outcome of her viva. The night ended with the two walked through the front door, Bucky holding a sleeping Sadie against his side while Y/N held her plushy. They walked up the stairs to Sadie's bedroom, putting her in bed and tucking her in surrounded by the countless plushies she had.

The two parted ways to change, Y/N changing out of her dress and into her pyjamas while Bucky changed into his joggers. They met up downstairs, Y/N being the last. She spotted him turning on Netflix, setting pillow and making popcorn.

- Mine better be sweet. - she walked up from behind him, sitting on the counter.

- I can't believe you like your popcorn sweet. - Bucky handed her the bowl he'd set aside from her. - They're better salty.

- I'm sorry, I forgot old men can't have too much sugar. - she put a popped kernel on her tongue, letting it dissolve.

- I'm 37, Y/N. You'll be 37 one day too.

- Yeah in ten years. - she chuckled, jumping from the counter and onto the ground. - Should we watch 13 going on 30?

- I said it was up to you and I meant it. - he walked her to the couch, taking a seat after she did. - So tell me, you're an Ohio girl. What's in Ohio?

- I'm not an Ohio girl.

- Your parents have a farm there.

- I told you they bought it after I moved out for college, the first time. I'm actually from Hartford.

- Hartford? How unbelievably old money of you. - he joked. - My grandad's from Hartford.

- Actually, my parents inherited the house from my grandmother. She died before I was born and was a bit eccentric. The house had been in the family for ages but it was a pain to look after and with my mum staying home to look after me, it just wasn't a financial good decision to keep it in the family anymore.

- I'm sorry. That must've been tough. I think I would have a stressful time if my parents sold my childhood home. I want to leave it to Sadie, you know?

- They sold it to a contractor so they'll probably demolish it but it used to have this massive tree in the backyard and my dad couldn't afford one of those plastic swings so he got some rope and he made me a makeshift one hanging from the tree. Obviously, I kinda got bored of the swing as I grew older and moved to try and use the rope to climb the tree.

- Y/N. - he chuckled, moving in closer to her. - You're supposed to be the responsible one.

- On my 8th birthday, I fell from it. Had a cast for ages and mum helped me bedazzle it.

- Bedazzle it? My, my, Y/N, weren't you a sparkle razzle dazzle girl. - he chuckled, trying to imagine a younger version of Y/N running around with a bedazzled cast. - Did you like it? In Hartford?

- It was nice but my favourite thing was being close to Yale. My dad used to take me there every Saturday because I wanted to go to Yale but I didn't get in.

- Their loss. You want some whiskey?

Bucky got up to go to the drinks cart, while Y/N turned in the couch to stare at him. She liked him this way, calm, understated, away from all the Prada suits and the leather shoes and YSL long coat, just casual and comfortable in his home. It was ... hot, in a way which she would not admit in front of anyone but herself. He poured her a glass before pouring one for himself.

- We haven't picked that movie yet, doll.

- Finding the conversation boring already? - she took a sip of the amber liquid. Bucky always had good drinks. - I was about to ask about your education.

- My education?

- Yes, I'm curious. I assumed you went to college.

- Okay, hum ... my mother wanted me to go to Eton like her father but I got kicked out so then I went to Collegiate School here. After that, I went to Stanford Business School and loved it so much that I wished to never go back.

- You went to Stanford?

- Why is that so shocking? I'm not particularly stupid, I reckon.

- No, no, it's just that Stanford is in California. You are a New Yorker in my eyes.

- That's where I started dating Sadie's mother.

- Really?

- Well, some would call it dating but honestly it was just us fucking in as many seminar rooms as we could. She was seeing someone else, I was seeing someone else. Sex was good though.

- My god, aren't you a little fuckboy? - she giggled at his comment. There was an ease at how they communicated, an ease which Bucky only experienced with his close friends, only a few of them.

- C'mon, early 20s with all the girls at my feet? What did you expect me to do?

- Hey, I have a question, don't feel insulted but why did you like Anna?

- Well ... - he shrugged. - I grew up with Anna, I knew her before Steve. Her mother and my mother were close so she was always there. She was quite annoying as a kid and then at college she was just attractive and she was smart. She's really smart, I hope Sadie gets some of that from her.

- Did you love her?

Bucky paused, looking at her as if she'd asked him an unanswerable question. He felt he'd fare better with questions such as what happens when we die or if God exists.

- There's different kinds of love. I did love Anna and I will always somewhat love her because she gave me my kid but it's not the same kind of love that I think people feel for a partner.

- I understand.

- I know I make it sound like I hate her and believe me I do but she is an absolutely fantastic woman. She's a terrible mother but if Sadie is as smart and charismatic as her, that'll do her good.

- You must've really loved her. - she pulled her knees towards her chest, laying her chin on top of her kneecaps. - Was she the love of your life?

- No. - he chuckled, taking another sip of whiskey before turning to look at her. - You're young, you'll have a lot of nice, stupid loves but it doesn't mean it's the one.

- You, James Buchanan Barnes, believe in the idea of the one?

- My parents have a great marriage even though my mother faints at the mere mention of anything less than decent. He really loves her you know? They have these stupid renewal vow ceremonies ever 15 years and they still look like kids in love.

- That's really sweet.

- What about your parents?

- My parents? Well, let me think. My dad he's from Brooklyn and he met my mum on a field trip to Hartford, she's the one from Hartford. They wrote to each other every day like crazy, apparently my grandfather told my father off for spending all his pocket money on stamps. Eventually they met up, slept together and got pregnant with me. Dad got a job at a company downtown of Hartford and my mum worked at a beauty counter and honestly I'm surprised I have no brothers.

- Your parents didn't go to college?

- No. - she giggled. - My mum got pregnant at 18 and my dad, well, he never really liked school.

- You really are one of a kind, Y/N.

- There's a thousands of me. You probably slept with a few.

- You just had to jab me there, hadn't you? - he threw his arm over her shoulder. - I'll have you know that you are not my type.

- Uhm, my boobs too small?

- What? - he blushed before looking at her chest and noticing her was looking at her chest. - No. They're fine. Stupid question.

- You're the one who said I'm not your type.

- You're uptight.

- I am not uptight.

- You, Y/N, are the most uptight person I have ever met. It's not an insult, you're probably second on the uptight list followed by me.

- Sounds like an insult.

- C'mon, Y/N, when was the last time you did something you didn't consider at least fifty five times?

- Christopher.

- Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about him but he doesn't count. Christopher is safe.

In a way, maybe. Christopher was a safe option even if he wasn't an option anymore. He was the exact kind of guy you would bring home, stable enough that no big surprises would come from him. He was perfectly fine for someone, just not for her. Yet, Bucky was right, very much right about Christopher being safe.

- You think I'm a mouse.

- No, no. - Bucky rose his hands in defense. - I don't think you're a mouse. I'm just saying you play it safe.

- I'm a mouse.

- What's the problem with playing it safe?

- Well, I have what 3 years left of my twenties. I don't think I should be playing it safe. Did you play it safe when you were twenty?

- Don't use me as an example. I was a fuck up when I was in my twenties, heck, even in my early thirties.

- You turned out fine.

- So did you. - he moved closer to her. - You are great the way you are, Y/N. I don't know why you think you're not.

Y/N turned around to face him, he was close. She could feel his warm breathe on her exposed elbow and could see his face so close, she could make up the light freckles that were dotted all over his face and the pattern his facial hair grew. He was gorgeous.

- You like me, right?

- I wouldn't have hired you if I didn't. - he brushed a stray strand of hair behind her ear, his fingers brushing down her jaw. - Even if you are argumentative.

- That's not what I meant. - she looked away from him, sitting up straight against the couch. - You said you liked me just the way I am. What did you mean?

- I meant I like you the way you are. It's pretty self explanatory.

- You're not funny.

- Well, Y/N, I like you. I like the way you argue with me, how when you're upset you scrunch your face like you're about to explode but it just looks cute, how your glasses always fall to the tip of your nose when you're studying, how you play around with Sadie like she's your own. I like you.

- You like me?

- I love you.

1. Are you named after anyone?

My maternal grandmother. It was my dad's idea to name me Anne after her. I think he was sucking up to his mother-in-law.

2. When was the last time you cried?

I don't full out cry all that much. I'll tear up a little watching and reading stuff all the time. The last time I remember fully sobbing was in March 2022 when my 15 year old cocker spaniel, Jasmine, died. More recently, I probably cried a little out of frustration in an argument with my mom a few months ago.

4. What sports do you play/have played?

I'm not at all a sports person. The only official school sports team I was ever on was cross country for a single year in 7th grade. I hated it. I ended up with the worst record on the entire team. It was a middle school team, which was 7th and 8th grade only. One of the 8th graders was a slow runner and before one of our meets, a couple of the other 8th grade girls pulled me aside and told me it was my turn to run with her. If she had to stop running and walk, that meant that I had to stop running and walk with her. Looking back, this was complete bullshit and I should have just said no, but at the time I was afraid to not do what they said. We ended up walking a good portion of the run, and then right before the finish line, she put on a burst of speed and beat me. I was annoyed.

Also, I was on a tee-ball team as a little kid. I hated it, but my dad was the coach so I HAD to go. I have a vivid memory of running to first base, putting my foot on the base, then having the little boy playing first base put his foot ON TOP of my foot, and wrongfully getting called out. I was LIVID. I didn't even want to be there in the first place!

I also took tennis lessons for a few sessions as a younger kid because my best friend liked it. I did not like it.

5. Do you use sarcasm?

At times.

6. What's the first thing you notice about people?

I'm kind of a terrible noticer in social situations. I think it's my social anxiety. Especially when I meet new people, I'm very much in my own head about the whole interaction. I really have no idea what I notice.

7. What’s your eye color?

Hazel

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

I enjoy watching scary movies that are so stupid they're hilarious. It's something my mom and I love to do together: go see stupid scary movies. But if I had to choose just one, I'd say happy endings.

9. Any talents?

I think I'm good at cross stitching. I'm also a pretty good baker, particularly when it comes to cookies.

10. Where were you born?

In the same town I currently live.

11. What are your hobbies?

Cross stitch (obviously), reading, running, baking, does watching TV count as a hobby?

12. Do you have any pets?

13. How tall are you?

14. Favorite subject in school?

English, particularly literature. In my final year of high school, I had space for several electives, and I filled the space by taking every single literature class the school offered. I think I took British Literature, World Literature, Contemporary Literature and African American Literature that year. It was amazing. I got to spend half the school day reading books.

15. Dream job?

I don't think I really have a dream job. Definitely not my current job. Maybe something low stress and high pay where I didn't have to interact with too many people? Or what about just not having a job? I think not having a job but still having money is my dream job.

EHEHEHEHEEH THE CAN OF WORMS YOU HAVE JUST OPENED

Ok so they’ve all got weird parental issues (I’m not projecting you are) in wildly different ways that affected them all differently.

So I’ve talked a shit ton about Toni, so y’all should know almost everything after S5? But I can talk abt their childhood and stuff. They had a lot of time where she was just like. Being an asshole to everyone they knew in a sad attempt to get attention from their parents, so knows his way around the city pretty well. He got nabbed by a restaurant owner who was like ‘STOP trying to get the cops called on yourself. Sweep my floors.’ And he did for a while, found her love for reporting, had a found family who actually cared for them and kinda finally realized that her parents weren’t really worth the effort anymore. Restaurant owner/stand in mom ended up dying during the Great Devourer incident. So uh. Yeah. Everything after that is just. Business as usual.

Charlie. Ohhhhhihhohihoohhoh boy. Her dad died when she was reaaaalllyyyy young, she was raised by her mom and grandmother who were super unwell in the brain. The Great Devourer incident happened when she was 13, her mother and grandmother both died (celebration time) and she spent days digging herself out of the rubble only to find out that everyone kind of. Gave up on her. And forgot about her. And idk I like to think they made some sort of memorial after that, and Charlie found her name on the memorial and was like ‘wow. Really cool /s. They think I’m dead. And didn’t bother looking for me. Awesome.’ And becomes bitter (justifiably) but decides that it’s going to be everyone else’s problem. She joined the Sons Of Garmadon, but kind of dipped out after Garmadon was actually resurrected, and just spends. All of her time trying to make people miserable. Because she sucks.

Kit is. Certainly something. Ran away from home (Geathal) as a teenager because of a fight with their parents, ended up trying to go back home as an adult (Geathal was destroyed it no longer exists) and ended up in Ninjago. Through a wild series of mishaps and misunderstandings, they had the element of light given to them and just having the WORST goddamn time dealing with that and the confusion of WHERE the fuck they are and HOW the fuck to leave. So Kit is just having. The worst ever time.

This is the lineup of them. The ages are S8 relevant, I doooooo need to tweak Kit’s. They r older.

“My music career started with women” - Taylor Hawkins (full interview)

My paternal grandmother, Josie Hawkins, grew up in the Great Depression and lived in Jackson, Mississippi. She’d throw us grandkids into the back of her old Buick while wearing giant sunglasses and listening to Kenny Rogers. She was a sweet woman who cooked amazing soul food. She didn’t know how to sit still. She lived almost to age 90 and was the matriarch of the Hawkins family.

My mum, Elizabeth Ann Hawkins, had her demons and a dark side. She was full of love, sweetness and tenderness and the total opposite of my dad [Terry]. She always believed in me. I would stand in front of her as a kid and sing, impersonate or dance for her. When I first got drums, she was the one who would watch me play. She was a big supporter and told me I’d make it. She counteracted Dad’s stony coldness, typical of a ’70s man.

I remember going to my first rock concert in 1982 to see Queen. I told Mum, “I’ll play that stadium one day.” She looked at me with eyes that matched my ambition. Mum was always there for me emotionally. She let me open up to her and showed me it was okay to have a gentle side.

Mum was a little absent sometimes because of her demons and my older sister Heather took up a lot of that slack. When dinner didn’t get finished because Mum had passed out on the couch, Heather was the one who made sure everything ran smoothly. My mum died from an aneurysm, nine months after Dad died in 2011 from emphysema. They loved each other, but for the last five years of his life it was Mum who took care of him. I saw this great release in Mum’s eyes after he died because she’d been carrying his oxygen tank everywhere they went. They were like best friends; they lived a full life. But there was tragedy, too.

Heather is the toughest member of our family. She’s the middle child and can still boss us all around. While my dad worried I’d live on his couch for his whole life because I was some loser musician, he never had to worry about Heather. My older brother, Jason, followed in Dad’s footsteps and became a businessman.

My celebrity crush was Olivia Newton-John. I noticed her in Grease, but even earlier than that I fell in love with her country songs. I was around three when I heard Have You Ever Been Mellow. There was something in her voice that I loved before I saw her.

My music career started with women; I first came to Australia playing in Alanis Morissette’s band – I owe so much to her. I recorded with many women on my most recent album with the Coattail Riders, Get the Money: Chrissie Hynde, LeAnn Rimes and Heart’s Nancy Wilson. I did ask Olivia Newton-John but her management never got back to me. Maybe one day.

I married Alison Hawkins in 2005. We have three children [Oliver, 13, Annabelle, 12, and Everleigh, 7]. There’s a song on Get the Money called I Really Blew It, which is for those men who think they can win an argument with their missus! I only speak for myself, but the man will always lose because the woman has the power.

I wrote a song about Annabelle called Middle Child. There’s a line, “you clean your mess up almost every night”, and she does. It’s tough being a middle child – but she is my twin and I love her so much.

heavy sigh 🥀

i haven't had a blood grandmother since 2013, when mine died suddenly during a routine procedure. of course biologically, i have two grandmothers, but i only really had one. i've been excommunicated from the other almost all my life. (she lives to this day. i check the obits monthly. when she kicks the bucket i will celebrate.)

so having known kb's grandma, frances, for 13 years… she sort of became a substitute grandma to me, too.

frances has been a tough cookie all her life. she was raised on a farm in remote northern wisconsin. her parents were immigrants from poland. at 16, she dropped out of school to work, instead. she waited tables and bartended. at 18, she hitch hiked to chicago. she got a job at a polish bakery, where she remained all her working days. she met and married a young polish guy who was an… associate, of some degree, of the mob.

she raised three kids on the south side of chicago. then she raised kb, as both their parents worked full-time at odd hours in factories. her husband died 15 years ago. as far as personality goes, she's quiet but not mild-mannered. she's brusque but not mean. she just is, stalwart and true, shooting straight as an arrow. she won't tell you how she feels but it's not a duplicitous nature; it's just that she's private. she won't be cowed by yelling nor weaseled by niceties. the harder you try to be polite to her, the more she rebuffs it. she would never bother stabbing someone in the back when she could just walk away from their face.

she taught kb how to crack an egg, how to play poker, how to have whiskey, how to make pierogis, and how to bake her signature chocolate cake.

the cake. she made it every year for kb's birthday. eventually, they got it tattooed on their arm with "grandma" in flowing script beneath it. the handwritten recipe is inscribed on a plate that hangs in our kitchen. it's seven layers and requires 16 eggs. it's a demanding physical feat, making that cake, and she's always been a petite woman.

to this day, she intimidates me, even reduced to the tiniest thing in a hospital bed, covered in tubes. her dark eyes are shrewd as ever. her face betrays little emotion, but when she does smile, her gums are still pink and full of health. her silver hair is cut sharp and short as it has been all the time i've known her. when i first met her, i almost couldn't speak. what do you say when you're 18 and you're meeting a woman who faced the devil many times and won every round?

but she didn't try to put me in any place. she shook my hand, kissed my cheek, told me to make a plate in the kitchen. she didn't ask me questions or try to get to know me, but neither did she dismiss or ignore me. i was simply folded in. she taught me how to stuff and press and boil pierogis the same way she taught kb. when i would drive her around to errands, she would hide five dollar bills for gas in places i wouldn't notice until much later. when she played cards with us, she never teased me for not understanding poker.

she sends me birthday cards. she signs them "love, frances." she crocheted several long garlands and then hanging stars to decorate our christmas trees with. i know her house and i know her smell and i know her real smile. i am lucky enough to have heard her really laugh. i know what it looks like when she's really listening. i know when she actually feels touched by something you've done. i know the shape of her shoulders when you hug her. i can see the knobby knuckles of her fingers in my mind.

i've never gotten to say goodbye before. my cousin, my aunt, my grandpa, my grandma, my dad, my friend gabe--they all died suddenly. we went to the hospital last night. i don't know what i expected. i thought if you were facing hospice care until you pass, you would be cloaked in a morphine haze. not lucid. but frances is very cognizant. her vitals are all good. her heart is strong. her eyes, when she looks at you, are clear.

it's not that her body is giving up. it's just that her body is not strong enough to endure the surgery that would save her life.

so how, then? how will this go? is the cold hard truth that we have to starve a woman to a slow death? is there nothing to be done? it feels insane. i want to scream. it would be easier, if she wasn't home mentally. but she is very home. the lights are on. i couldn't say goodbye because it seemed impossible that the end is here. because she still seems so alive. i could only speak to her as if everything is normal.

Just came back home for the holidays and found my old Mha OC and... How could I leave such ideas behind; like I'm talking about a full ledger, a backstory, and defined relationships ( and hard-core angst, like HARD-CORE ANGST with capital letters )

I'm gonna try to summarize it; Noriaki Yagi ( note that her name is typically a male name; note it for later it's important [ between no she's not trans it's something with her family lineage and all *angst* ]

As her family name points she is All Might's niece, so his brother's daughter Taro Yagi; the first son of the Yagi family, a long lineage of heroes and Taro is the heir to the agency that is passed down from generation to generation.

So to clarify there are conditions for it to be passed down; the heir has to look identical to the previous owner of the agency and have the same quirk ], and Taro in a quest to have a son and finally please his dad ( it's his real goal; he doesn't care much for the agency, he just want his dad's attention and affirmation ) had many wife's; the first one was Sana she was from North America and gave birth to Kana Yagi; who was a girl and looked nothing like him; 3a curly brown hair, dark skin, and green cat eyes ( she also has vitiligo marks around her left eye and neck; marks that in her grandmother's eyes taint her beauty and make her look like a monster paired with the white strands in her hair ), when she was 13 and her mom "died"( she was killed by the grandparents so their son could remarry and they didn't want to deal with a messy divorce as she loved her daughter dearly and would rather die than leave her behind) so she ran away and joined her uncle toshinori; who was also kicked out of the family because he was quirkless ( he didn't tell them about OFA obv ) so she trained and later became a pro-hero alongside her best friends Miruko and Keigo.

Nori ( nickname for Noriaki ) was 5 when all this happened; she was still living with her mom at the time; she and Taro had a one-night stand but when the grandparents found out she was pregnant they forced him to marry her and cast aside Sana ( the first wife ); the women he loved. This led to a toxic marriage; where Taro didn't love and resented Tama ( Nori's mom ), who loved him to the point of obsession; so to forget the pain she fell into a drug addiction and drinking problem; and when it wasn't enough she'd lash out on Nori..

Why she did do so? Because Nori was perfect; she had her dad and mom's quirk and looked exactly like him but was a girl. So that led to her growing up with a mother who would scream things like "Why couldn't you be a boy ?! You ruined my life etc..." while hitting her. When the grandparents ( again 😒) found out they put Tama in a mental hospital ( the same one as Rei where they grew quite close: Trauma bounding does wonders I guess 🤷‍♀️ ) and took Nori under their "care" ( now to note they changed Nori's name; her real name was Reina Yagi but in their ( the grandpa's ) delusion they renamed her Noriaki ).

Their "care" was intensive quirk training and abusing the poor girl mentally and physically; now to delve into her quirks she has two.

1) her mom's which is Kinetic energy absorption and control; basically if you hit her she'll absorb the energy behind the hit and enhance her attacks ( or if she falls from a certain height she'll absorb the shock from the fall); the drawback is there's a limit to how much she can absorb at once; so if she is too charged she either has to release every energy in her body and so blackout/faint or she would implode/explode.

So you guessed; Osamu ( her grandfather) would regularly hit her and make her keep it all in and discharge it all in one hit or make her do endurance training so that accumulated energy would be her only source for it. Of course, for it to work she had to have no energy/barely any strength before training; so she was malnourished, sleep-deprived, and generally exhausted for most of her childhood.

[ In the future ( when she becomes a pro-hero; she can combine both her quirks so she'd be able to absorb any hit on the energy shield ]

Whew I think that's all for the basis of her past, I'll have to look through my stuff and find the rest, but if I remember correctly she is close to Momo; met her at a meeting. And Shoto: because in the past they were engaged until her father stepped in and refused it... Or I think but I don't remember shipping her with Shoto but rather Bakugou?

Solar Opposites in: Ultra Opposites: “Yumyulack’s Nightmare” (for @avaveevo)

One wonderful night, Terry and Korvo are having sex delightfully.

Terry: Oh yeah. moans Oooooh! How does it feel now you magnificent blue stud?!

Korvo: Yes, Terry! Yes! Fuck me like there’s no tomorrow!

Terry lets out a loud roar. He then turns into his Mundane form as he dominates Korvo and moans in delight.

Yumyulack whimpers and notices his fingertips are black.

Later in the lab…

Terry: Yumyulack, I’m so sorry…

Yumyulack: sigh Don’t be. I just don’t how I will handle this nightmare. I have to figure out why this is always recurring throughout my whole life or worse.

The next day… Ophelia is watching down. Until, she senses something with her mind.

Ophelia: Hmmm? A new Super Shlorpian?

Ophelia smiles evilly.

Ophelia: I shall have his or her power right for the taking. And soon, Earth will be mine!

Back in the Solars’ house…

Janiz: Okay. Yumyulack, there is gonna be some testing. So, be prepared.

Yumyulack: takes a deep breath Okay. Let’s do this.

Korvo: Are you sure he’s ready?

Janiz: smiling It’s okay Korv. It’s just like what we used to do… notices something in Korvo’s eyes wanna talk for a moment? Korvo nods Be right back…

Janiz and Korvo heads out in the moment and Korvo starts crying as he feels emotional about this.

Janiz: What’s wrong bro?

Korvo: tearfully I… just can’t believe this is happening to him. Oh Yumyulack.

Janiz: Oh bro… is it because your little sprout is growing up so fast… or are you scared of losing him?

Suddenly, it shows Korvo rocking baby Yumyulack to sleep as he puts them down in a sleeping chamber Shlorpian adults always put their sproutlings in for them to regain energy.

Yumyulack: I see baby me sleeping…

Then he looks closely as Korvo heads to bed, he starts crying in his sleep because of something.

Yumyulack: And now I see Korvo crying after he put me to bed

Korvo sighs.

Korvo sighs.

Korvo: I was dreaming about the day Janiz and I become orphans

Yumyulack gasps

Yumyulack: Oh my God… why did you dream about it?

Korvo: Because, I was really heartbroken over the fact that she wasn’t alive to see you after you were born. I sure wish that she was still alive to see her newborn grandson.

Yumyulack cries as his fingertips turn black again.

Yumyulack: Oh God… hides his face under his fingers as he continues crying

Korvo: wipes away his tears I’m so sorry, Yumyulack.

Janiz: Oh shit! Korvo! His fingertips are turning black. notices purple icy shades appearing on the fingers tips and now they’re shading icy purple!

Korvo gasps.

Korvo: Oh shit! Yumyulack! hugs Yumyulack It’s gonna be okay! I’m here!

Yumyulack breathes in and out. Yumyulack then sees a monster through the vision as his eyes suddenly glows purple as he snarls.

Korvo: Yumyulack?

Yumyulack’s voice then depend as he roars and slashes the vision away as the fire fades and he starts kneeling down the floor.

Jesse: Oh cripes!

Korvo gasp and restrains Yumyulack by hugging him while Yumyulack kept growling.

Korvo: Yumyulack! Yumyulack, calm down!

Yumyulack kept growling, but then calms down upon hearing Korvo’s heart beat as he whimpers

Korvo: That’s it. There you go.

Yumyulack: Korvo. I am so scared.

Korvo: It’s okay, Yumyulack.

Yumyulack: What do I do now?

Terry has an idea.

Terry: I have an idea so crazy, it might just work.

Yumyulack: What?

Terry: Yumyulack! You have to turn into Psylock!

Korvo: What?! Why?!

Terry: Trust me. If Yumyulack can travel in his past, he can figure out what is going! His mind reading powers!

Yumyulack: That could work!

Yumyulack then turns into Psylock as he flies to his room.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Okay…

Psylock takes a deep breath and falls asleep.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Let’s do this…

Yumyulack is still fast asleep as he started to whimper. He then starts having the nightmare again as he began to whimper.

Yumyulack: No! No! Not this again! transforms into Psylock and goes inside his mind

After entering the memory, Psylock looks around Shlorp 13 years ago, until he sees the horn monster he saw from Terry’s memory.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Okay! Time to figure out why I am having this nightmare!

Psylock flies and follows the monster, who is really at Korvo’s apartment where it sees Korvo sleeping. Korvo is crying in his sleep.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Korvo?

Suddenly, the monster sneak in quietly and starts seeing baby Yumyulack, who is fast asleep while cooing and sucking his thumb in his crib. Korvo wakes up and sees the monster.

Korvo: gasp and growls as his eyes glow aquamarine

Korvo transforms into his Super Shlorpian form and roars as Psylock gasps.

Yumyulack/Psylock: So that’s why I keep having this nightmare! A monster try to get me until Korvo stop it!

Baby Yumyulack started crying while Super Shlorpian Korvo slashes the monster and then he grabs baby Yumyulack flies out of here while the monster follows them. Super Shlorpian Korvo hide behind a wall while baby Yumyulack continues crying. Super Shlorpian Korvo tries to soothe Baby Yumyulack.

Baby Yumyulack: crying

Super Shlorpian Korvo: It’s okay…

Baby Yumyulack whimpers as tears burst from his eyes. Super Shlorpian Korvo then sees the horn monster and becomes determined to protect his baby. So, he hid baby Yumyulack in a crate while baby Yumyulack starts to calm down.

Baby Yumyulack: cooing as he starts to fall asleep

Super Shlorpian Korvo then growls at the horn monster and attacks.

Yumyulack/Psylock: KORVO!

Yumyulack/Psylock then wakes up as he gasp and breaths in and out.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Oh my God… all this time… Korvo had always protected me… tears of joy thanks dad…

But then, Ophelia comes in.

Ophelia: Well well well. Who do we have here.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Stay back Ophelia!

Opehlia: Oh quiet down. You’re—

Then, Electra shocks her as she, Legendary Super Shlorpian, Solar Flare and Lady Super Shlorpian comes in.

Jesse/Electra: Fuck off Ophelia!

Korvo/The Legendary Super Shlorpian: Yumyulack!

Terry/Solar Flare: You okay buddy?

Janiz/Lady Super Shlorpian: Oh thank God! Now what is Ophelia doing in our house?!

Yumyulack/Psylock: A little.

Ophelia: Silence! Now to have your son and-

Janiz/Lady Super Shlorpian attacks Ophelia.

Janiz/Lady Super Shlorpian: Get away from my nephew!

Ophelia: YOU BITCH!

Yumyulack/Psylock: Aunt Janiz! suddenly feels a sharp pain in his head as his eyes starts glowing purple

Korvo/The Legendary Super Shlorpian: Yumyulack?!

Jesse/Electra: You okay, Yummybear?

Terry/Solar Flare: What hurts?!

Yumyulack/Psylock: M-My chest!

Yumyulack’s skin starts turning black as the inside of the mouth starts glowing purple. The others gasp as they know what’s happening.

Korvo/Legendary Super Shlorpian: Y-Yumyulack?

Terry/Solar Flare: It’s happening?! Right now?!

Janiz/Lady Super Shlorpian: Yep! It’s finally time!

Cue transformation scene. Psylock then grows bigger and muscular as his clothes rip. He grows monster fangs. Then, his own purple bat wings pops out from his back. Then, a pair of horns appear on his head

Jesse/Electra: Jesus Christ!

Korvo/Legendary Super Shlorpian: YUMYULACK!

Super Shlorpian Psylock roars and bangs his chest.

Terry/Solar Flare: Holy shit! Like father, like son! Psylock is now a Super Shlorpian!

Ophelia: WHAT?! Impossible!

Super Shlorpian Psylock roars and throws a bar at Ophelia who gets knock by it as she growls.

Ophelia: You little—

Super Shlorpian Psylock then scratches Ophelia in the face as she falls and lands on her feet. Super Shlorpian Psylock flies down there. But, Super Shlorpian Legendary Super Shlorpian flies down there.

Super Shlorpian Korvo/Legendary Super Shlorpian: Yumyulack! Calm down!

Super Shlorpian Psylock roars as he slams his fists on the ground and knocks Ophelia to a pole. Super Shlorpian Legendary Super Shlorpian gasp and realizes what feeling is Super Shlorpian Psylock feeling right now as he flies to him. Super Shlorpian Psylock growls as Super Shlorpian L.S.S. comes to him and starts calming him down by soothing his face softly.

Super Shlorpian Korvo/The Legendary Super Shlorpian: Ssh ssh. You’re okay. Daddy’s here.

The next day… Korvo smiles as Super Shlorpian Yumyulack sleeps to him. Super Shlorpian Yumyulack purrs as Korvo cuddles with him, just like he used to do when Yumyulack was a baby.

Korvo: There’s my little sprout

Terry: Wow. He never looked so calm before.

Korvo: Yeah. I think this little sprout has grown up.

Terry then seduces Korvo.

Terry: So you wanna have a little fun after he… suddenly realizes something as he looks at Jesse then looks down sadly

Korvo: What’s wrong honey?

Jesse sniffs. Terry sits down on his bed.

Terry: Korvo, can we talk alone?

Korvo: Sure.

An hour later, Korvo shuts the door and sits down on his side of the bed next to Terry.

Korvo: Terry? Is everything okay? You looked sad when you saw Jesse? What’s wrong?

Terry sheds a few tears.

Terry: I-I think the generation of Mundane have been running in general in a boy to girl to boy ratio Korvo. My mom was a Mundane too. I think soon it will be Jesse’s time.

Korvo gasps.

Korvo: No… our sweet girl… Terry. When the time comes, we must do everything we can to help Jesse. Just like what we did with Yumyulack!

Terry then starts crying because he is scared of losing sweet babygirl if she loses her sanity. Korvo kisses Terry on the forehead.

Terry: crying I don’t wanna lose my baby Korvo. I love her so much. I even named after my mom because she remind me of her… we have to make sure when Jesse becomes a Mundane, we must do everything we can to protect her.

Korvo nods. Then, Yumyulack, who is back to normal comes in while comforting Jesse while the Pupa joins in on the bed.

Yumyulack: It’s okay sis. I know how scared you are.

Terry: Hey Jesse. Are you scared of becoming a Mundane like me one day?

Jesse hesitates, but then nods.

Terry: It’s okay honey. When the right time comes, we’ll be with you. I promise.

Jesse and Terry hug.

Korvo: It’s okay you two. We’re here for you. There there

Terry and Korvo kiss on the lips. The two Replicants embrace their dads as they feel their love from their fathers while Janiz watches. Pupa also joins in the hug as they smile. Suddenly, a Mundane spirit appears in Jesse, but nobody notices because they are hugging. Then, the spirit transfers into Jesse without anyone looking.

Jesse: Huh? I thought I felt something. Oh well…

The family smiled and heads back to hugging as the screen fades to black.

are you named after anyone? no but i almost was tho! my dad wanted to name me after my paternal grandmother/paternal aunt but my mom swooped in last second and put my name as is hehe!

when was the last time you cried? a day ago lmaooo. there's health issues in my family currently going on and, well, i worry a lot.

do you have kids? in the words of artem wing: i've never had a girlfriend or wife, let alone a child. (this user has never had a romantic partner ever. i've asked around and apparently, i just fit nicely in with friends that i'm never considered for romance so, yeah.)

do you use sarcasm much? yes absolutely, its my third language. not much online tho but irl? yes

what sports do you play? i used to play soccer and do track and field back in middle school but i tore something (American health care everyone) and it kinda hurts when doing extreme stuff so i just stick to walking lolol. i would've loved to do gymnastics.

first thing you notice about other people? their eyes and vibes! you can tell a lot from a person just from their eyes and tbh, and my gut feelings don't do me wrong. there was this one time when a person felt off vibe- wise and i was right it was so validating

My older brother and I both have Biblical first names, but his middle name came from my dads side of the family, so I got my grandmothers maiden name as my middle name.

A week or two ago, work has been stressful.

When I was reeeeeaaallly little I did t-ball and later soccer, and hated them both. Never again.

Overall appearance, face, hair, etc.

Brown

Crochet, reading, video games, and I’ve begun exercising a lot recently. With some AirPods, the gym can actually be fun.

Electives. Not that I hated any of the core four, but I always enjoyed electives more. Theater, IT, even bits of band.

I’d love to own my own comic shop. One with a second story balcony space, plenty of space to lounge and chill, and a big table in the back for events that’s decorated and painted and such. I want the entire place to be colorful and mismatched, but not in a way that feels like you grabbed whatever junk you could. Coordinated chaos.

Mayfair Witches 1x08 Spoilers

Mayfair Witches is the most bonkers show on television and listen, I am HERE FOR IT, I respect it for how fucking wild it gets, but oh my GOD do I need to process the last 45 minutes

Spoilers/episode breakdown below

In the matter of one episode, pregnant-but-wants-to-be-childfree Rowan:

-nearly dies

-summons Lasher after doing everything to get rid of Lasher

-uses Lasher to set a dude on fire

-goes into memories of her greatx12 grandmother's house

-where she has sex with Lasher

-and then gets WILDLY more pregnant

-travels through memories of all her dead ancestors while getting MUCH more pregnant

-gets kidnapped and dragged through the woods by her great-uncle, who is, surprise, also her dad

-gets dropped off in a mausoleum full of her dead family members

-gets visited by the ghost of her greatx12 grandmother who helps deliver her SUDDENLY NOW BIRTHING baby

-IN THE MAUSOLEUM

-SURROUNDED BY DEAD RELATIVES

-her baby also immediately ages multiple years into toddlerhood after his 13 hour gestation

-the baby is also very white despite Ciprien, the dad, being very much not white

-because the baby is Lasher

-THE BABY IS LASHER

-WHO SHE JUST HAD SEX WITH

-she immediately freaks out and tries to flee, which, fair

-but then! her great-uncle/dad tries to take the baby because the baby is Lasher and Lasher means POWER

-so she decides actually, you know what, she wants to be a mom

-she then uses her baby to turn her great-uncle/dad into stone

-really poorly CGI'ed stone

-also then her baby daddy arrives and she uses the baby to threaten him with being struck by lightning

ALSO

-Ciprien has a sister who just gave birth to a surrogate baby

-she has been kidnapped by Ciprien's boss who asked the horrifying question "Is she still lactating?" and when it turns out, yes, she is, says "Oh then she can come help her brother"

-WHAT DOES THAT MEAN

-this may be the wildest thing i've ever seen

-can't wait for season 2

-i need a drink

my personal timeline of zeke's family life

his dad was the kid of nursing home grandma and grandpa who died of a stroke a few years back (they met bcuz of mascot costumes and bonded over it) -> when his dad was eighteen or nineteen he got his girlfriend pregnant w/ zeke's brother and decided to marry her and have a family together -> 30ish years later zeke's brother (who would have been born in the 1970s) has moved out and started his own life and family and zeke's dad's first marriage is having issues staying together -> zeke's dad cheats on wife with high schooler and gets her pregnant around the time of the prom (going with season 14 this would be around 2008 or 2009 so his mom probably used myspace as a teen. fun fact) -> zeke's dad's first wife divorced him when she realized he cheated and so zeke was in divorce court in diapers -> zeke likely spent most of his life living with his dad as his mom was too young to take care of him -> zeke's dad meets cheryl and they get into a relationship together. zeke is 13 years old -> cheryl has a baby who may or may not be related to zeke & who is breastfeeding. brother at this time is 44 and dad is 63. zeke's mom is 30 but not currently in his life. zeke's grandmother is most likely in her mid 80s & zeke's cousin leslie is on his mom's side and probably the child of mom's older sibling (hence why he's closer in age to zeke than his dads siblings kids would be)

#this is all based on canon info but the timeline of events is mostly speculation #we dont KNOW that zeke's dad was married to prev wife but it seems likely and i dont think zeke's parents were ever married #due to her being like 17 when he was born. worlds shortest marriage if so #they did NOT have to throw that 44 year old brother out there when we already knew his mom was pregnant with him in high school like?? 😭😭#txt #bob's burgers

Really cried? A few months ago when I found out an old friend who had moved away lost her husband. (PSA - if you even suspect that you have sleep apnea, PLEASE get it checked out - he stopped breathing in his sleep, had a seizure, and died after being in the ICU for a week.)

I sometimes get a little misty-eyed if I watch or read something sad, but I don't count that as crying

3. Do you have kids ?

Yes, actually - a son and a daughter. Really surprised to see this question on tumblr lol. I think I might be the only parent here.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot ?

Only when I talk about politics

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people ?

General vibes, I guess? I can get a good sense of someone's personality pretty quickly

6. What’s your eye color ?

Green-dominate hazel. My grandmother, mother, sister, myself, and my daughter all have the exact same eye color, which is pretty cool!

7. Scary movies or happy endings ?

Depends on my mood

8. Any special talents ?

Writing is pretty much it lol

9. Where were you born ?

Washington state, but my folks were only there for a year while my dad did some post-grad work. I grew up in New Jersey/Pennsylvania, but my folks are Californian and we all moved there when I was 20. Been here ever since!

10. What are your hobbies ?

Fandom mostly. I'm trying to pick up crocheting - I really should get back to it. I used to be a big reader - should probably get back to that too 😬

Two cats, a grumpy old lady and a spry young troublemaker

the band!!!!!!!!!!! so the band existing was totally @the-witching-ash's idea, they're sort of like a New Covey (and all of them are related to the Covey in some way)! They're Hollis' best friends and they've been a band since they were pretty young (before Hollis' dad died) — after Lucy's games, the Covey were forced to either assimilate or die, but between Jude's mom, Hollis' dad, and Maude Ivory herself, they still learned all of the old Covey songs, though they weren't told about the Covey just that they were songs from their childhoods!

They play throughout the district when they aren't at work, their instruments having once belonged to the Covey and needing to be fixed up. Hollis' talent after her games is singing, so the band is also involved in a few of her televised performances (5 so far, but I have at least three more songs to plan out that they're involved in)

They all survive the bombing of District 12, Danny is one of the guys from the mines that Gale talks about helping him get people out, so they all make it to District 13 and are not happy about the fact that Hollis isn't there! They spend months stirring shit up making people (especially from 12, but also from 13 when it comes to Heavensbee) not trust Coin or Heavensbee, but both of them see the band as just kind of dumb kids and don't take them seriously — they intentionally craft a very harmless image so that people let their guard down around them which helps them learn information that they shouldn't have and allows them to cause trouble

Danny and Suze get married instead of Finnick and Annie, but like with Annie, the band (and Katniss) go back to 12 to get one of Katniss' dresses for Suze and it's just a super cute scene that's entirely Ash's idea!

also!! So far my inspiration for each of their songs comes from Maiah Wynne's incredible covers of the Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes songs they're all incredible go listen!

(also in the spirit of Covey name theming, all of them are named after folk songs — except Jude but he's still named after a song)

and a little bit of individual information on each of them!

Hollis Clementine Everdeen: we already know Hollis of course but she's the singer and also plays guitar, and the song that she's named after is Clementine (which she also sings in Catching Fire, and is referenced when Camden dies)

Babs Shefford: Babs plays fiddle in the band, she's from a merchant family (specifically dairy merchants), and she and Jude have been dating for about two years! Her song is Barbara Allen

Bo Lockwood: Bo plays cello for the band, he's also from a merchant family (butchers). He had a crush on Hollis when they were younger but has long since moved on, and his song is Mr Bojangles

Danny Colbeck — Danny plays percussion for the band, and he works with Gale in the mines, the two of them and Camden were pretty good friends, and throughout the Quell, Danny is one of the ones really leading the charge with Gale to have people preparing to make a run for it. He and Suze have been together since she was 12 and he was 13 (he's now 19 and she's 18), and he actually proposed to her before the Quell! His song is Danny Boy

Ramona Diggs: Ramona plays the mandolin for the band! She and Angeline are both still in school, they're younger members (Prim's age) who joined a few years after the band formed. Her grandmother was Jessum Diggs' twin sister, and her song is Ramona

Angeline Haynes: Angeline plays harmonica in the band and often takes on a similar role to Maude Ivory in introducing the band (a job she shares with Hollis), getting the audience engaged, and, when people are able, collecting the money that people give them. Her song is Angeline

Jude Abernathy: Jude Abernathy is Haymitch's son, a couple of years older than the others. He plays guitar for the band and works in the Justice Building. His mom (Matilda Jade Everdeen) died when he was young, shot for standing up to a Peacekeeper. He's Haymitch's entire world but their relationship can be tense; Jude will always put himself at risk to protect other people and Haymitch's fear comes out as yelling, so there's definitely no shortage of screaming matches in their house. Haymitch always expected him to get reaped so he's been training Jude since he was pretty young, which comes in handy during the revolution! Jude will also appear in my oc Willow Abernathy's fic (as her older brother, shipped with Madge) as well as in Lysa Undersee's fic (shipped with Lysa and Gale), and his song is Hey Jude

Suze Hatley: Suze plays the flute in the band, and she's a seamstress. She's dating Danny and they've been together for seven years; he proposed shortly before the Quell but knowing that Hollis was either going to be reaped or mentoring, they decided not to have the wedding until she got back (until, not if, they won't consider the possibility of her not coming back), which is how it ends up happening in 13. Her song is Oh Susanna
