I never considered that people may be hesitant of akinidai because of the coach/athlete thing but then again part of the appeal is knowing Nekomaru's character you know he would NEVER take advantage of her and would only want to help her in pretty much everything

I think it could be interesting, kind of like, Akane unlearning to expect the worst / not having high expectations at all. Since her life has pretty much been garbage, she might somewhat expect her new sparring partner / friend/ coach to follow that pattern - the gymnast coach who encouraged her to be an athlete basically assaulted her, right? She already has the WORST experiences.

So being around Nekomaru who is very respectful (if clueless lol) might be good for her! One of the things that got me thinking is that scene in the anime with the uh... soup.... where she says "don't touch me" and he immediately backs off and apologizes. She enforced a boundary good for her! He respects it immediately!

Apparently Nekomaru also doesn't have much of a sense of personal space, which could lead to Akane assuming things of him but if she asked him to back off, he totally would right away. Also I think he says very adamantly in the game that he would *never* hurt anyone he's managing. Idk it's sweet! Romantic or not, I feel like he's the sort of guy that Akane could really use in her life.

(even if it's not mutually romantic i feel like he *must* be totally gone on her anyway look at all their interactions I feel it in my bones)

Danganronpa goodbye despair spoilers!! Cw death

When the two start dating, Sonia is crowned Gundham’s dark queen

The two have loads of pet names, some of Sonia’s are, queen, my queen, flower, gem, angel, babe, golden flower.

Gundham’s are Dark lord, emperor, dark angel, babe, love,

the two stared dating after the second chapter, seeing how they loved each other and didn’t want to do nothing with this knowledge

The two spend lots of time with/taking care of the animals.

Sonia starts teaching Gundham how to speak Novoselic

He knows bits and pieces of it

When they first get locked in the fun-house Gundham doesn’t tell Sonia about it she may be with him but she’s not looking as he is.

He asks her to hold onto the Devs but she knows something is wrong refuse

The two fight for a bit in the end Gundham caves and tells her his plan

Sonia is shocked and devastated that he would do this but she also understands, she knows responsibility

So remorsefully she lets him continue but only if she can stay with him, he agrees

When they meet up with Nekomaru he is rightfully confused

They explain and he gives Sonia his condolences

The two fight

When Nekomaru is knocked out, Gundham tells her his plan for the murder

She helps tie Nekomaru up and stays with Gundham throughout the investigation

She had the Devs at the start of the trial

Sonia is stubbornly quite throughout the whole trial this does make her suspicious but she doesn’t care, she doesn’t want to help them figure it out

Before Gundham gets executed she goes over and hugs then kisses him, wishing her Dark Angel good luck

She keeps his scarf after the execution and for the rest of the game

When she wakes up she stays with Gundham a lot of the time

She helps take care of the animal before and after Gundham wakes up

When he does wake up he’s tackled down by her and she cries joyfully that he’s awakened

The Deves join them

They cuddle a lot
