My height is 5'3 (160cm). Im nonbinary and asexual, and I use any pronouns. I have brown, curly, short hair and green eyes. My skin is very pale, and I usually look pretty tired. I wear black clothes. Im a pretty calm and level-headed person. I really enjoy deep conservation, music, dancing, reading, and stargazing. I can read pretty much anything. I really like learning new things. Im sarcastic, and I like to tease my friends. I am extremely loyal to my friends, and I show my affection for them through gifts, quality time, and doing them favors. I tend to talk a lot about topics that I am interested in. I usually stay calm when people panic, (even if I'm screaming on the inside). Im trying to be as open-minded as possible to everyone, as long as they are doing the same thing to me. I love animals, especially raccoons. I think they are just adorable (I also have a cat and two dogs).

I have a pear-shaped body, but I'm also a little bit chubby. I have some scars on my arms and legs (mostly because I scratch my wounds when I'm stressed). Im anemic, which means that I get tired easily. Im also lactose intolerant. I often have random pains, but I don't know why. I also have an anxiety disorder (I bite my nails and lips a lot because of it). I would rather spend time indoors than outdoors, but I will not pass up an opportunity for a picnic :3.

I dislike loud noises and crowded places. I can't speak in front of a large group of people, and I have trouble making eye contact. I also hate when someone is bullied. I like spending time with someone when we both just do our stuff in one room. Im a pretty awkward person at first, but if I get close to you, I become more talkative and funny. People always tell me that when they first saw me, they thought I was intimidating. I often hum some music while doing something.

I think thats all. I apologize if this is chaotic. I never wrote a request. I hope it's not too much. Feel free to not write anything at all if you can't come up with anything <3.

Yandere TFP Megatron

Megatron is a cruel decepticon with a distaste for organics, so when he grabbed you into his servo he went to crush you right before Prime’s optics. He grinned viciously down at you, and your dead stare made him pause. Even the bravest of his kind looked more fearful than you.

Before he could even form a coherent thought, he had transformed around you and flown away. When he got back to the Nemesis he was angry with himself- but he didn’t realize that as he threw you to Knockout, ordering him to watch you.

While you were scared, you did like the quiet of this place. It was almost soothing.

Knockout peered down curiously at you. At your obvious exhaustion, he commented. “If I didn’t know better about your fleshies, I’d say you’re half dead.”

You stared back up at him, not quite making eye contact. He noticed your avoidance, but said nothing as he scoffed and went back to working.

Megatron questioned himself as to why he brought you along, but he couldn’t put his finger on it. He ended up sitting you on a table in his room while he worked. You were mostly quiet, but your curiosity showed as you looked at his computer.

His booming voice asked what you were doing, and you covered your ears. Megatron wasn’t sure why he did it, but he lowered his voice and spoke again. “What are you looking at?”

“....your screen. Sorry.” You bit your nails nervously. Megatron turned away, silent.

It was weeks before he sat you on his shoulder. He didn’t speak, clearly unsure of how to communicate with you. For the first time in millions of years, he was truly unsure of himself.

When he did start talking to you, it was to teach you about his gladiatorial days. He spoke of how he started the revolution, and how he fought against the corruption of the senate.

Eventually you felt comfortable enough to ask questions with him, but you felt nothing but pity. He had been through so much. However, you also felt conflicted- the Autobots are your friends, but you feel like this war has no point anymore other than for Decepticons to get some sort of revenge.

You slowly began to chip away at Megatron’s cold spark, and he cared for you- even if he didn’t show it well. He loved the way you hummed softly your favorite songs, and how content you were to merely sit on his shoulder.

Megatron would often bring you to large forests so you could enjoy the nature he found you enjoyed.

One day, when Megatron was on a comm with Soundwave discussing something, you decided to take off. You wanted to be back with the autobots- not to say that you even hated Megatron after everything you had learned. You ran through the forest, getting turned around almost instantly.

Almost immediately, you were snatched up into the servos of a very furious mech. Megatron had a deep scowl on his face.

“After I bestowed all of the knowledge I had upon you, did you really think I’d let you go?” Megaton squeezed you painfully tight. “Don’t worry, worm. I won’t make the same mistake with you twice.”

Megatron, secretly heartbroken that you’d try to leave after creating a bond, locked you in a cage hanging in his room- with no way to escape his clutches. You would never be allowed out unless Megatron was with you. His trust would be hard to earn back- maybe even take your lifetime.

Be My Favorite: Why, Kwan, why?

Week after week I wait for this show to wobble and disappoint me, but here we are at episode 9 and it’s still going strong, even when the story goes in directions I don’t expect. I sat here for a few minutes trying to decide what to focus on from this episode, and this is the thing most on my spirit this week.

Kwan, I say this with nothing but love in my heart: what on earth are you doing getting tangled up with a guy like Not?

In every timeline, over and over again, we see that Kwan gravitates to this dude, despite all his awful behavior. Here is what we have seen from Not to date across the timelines:

Bullying

Homophobia

Misogyny

Pretending to befriend Kawi so he could manipulate him

Threatening to out Pisaeng for his own gain

Having a sexual relationship with Kwan while actively pursuing or even marrying Pear

All around unkind behavior toward pretty much everyone

To date, BMF has shown me nothing to explain why Kwan is so desperately into this guy. Kwan has been witness to all this same behavior we have seen throughout the story, and they have had one (1) conversation where Not was only about 50% instead of 100% an asshole. He’s not nice to her, and he doesn’t respect her. And let me say this clearly: it’s not that it’s unrealistic for a great girl to get caught up with a total dumpster fire of a man who treats her like shit. That’s a tale as old as time and I can absolutely justify how this can happen in my head. But from a storytelling and characterization perspective, I want to feel a bit more grounded in who Kwan is to fully understand why she is letting this man treat her this way. We still don’t know anything about her family background, romantic history, or personal desires beyond wanting Not’s attention. Unlike the other core characters, we don’t know what motivates her and what she wants out of life. We don’t even know that much about her friendship with Pear and how deep (or not) it is.

So here’s my best theory for now: Kwan is fat-coded in this story (but not actually fat, because actors playing fat in dramas rarely are). I first raised this idea a couple weeks ago with a few friends, asking if they thought we were supposed to be reading Kwan as fat, and therefore socially undesirable, and we were not yet confident that the show was going there with her. But at this point, it’s the only read on Kwan that’s really tracking for me.

Kwan has been placed in the familiar role of the less desirable best friend to the pretty popular girl, and has some very obvious insecurities about Not’s clear preference for Pear over her. She seems to be hoping that having sex with him will cause him to realize she is the one he actually wants (oh, girl). In the former future timeline, we see that she carried on with Not even after he got into a relationship with Pear, which to me speaks to some resentment she is carrying for Pear, as well. We’ve had some subtle indicators that Kwan and Pear may not actually be that close (like Pear saying Pisaeng is the only person she talks to about her family issues). And that would track with Kwan knowingly participating in Not two-timing Pear and never fessing up. You don’t do that to your best friend if you actually love and respect them without some other unaddressed shit laying between you.

I am still holding out hope that the show is going to give us a little more to go on with Kwan. It was only this week that we got a fuller picture of Pear’s family life, and we still have three episodes to go. I want Kwan to be a three dimensional character with desires and motivations we understand, and this drama has shown such compassion and care for its characters that I trust them to finish rounding her out. When that happens, I’ll be back to check in on this clown theory.

The End

This is a long one, but here's the takeaway: 1) Kemetic Orthodoxy / House of Netjer is no longer a safe place for anyone to 'be human' apparently (so if you want to be Kemetic and not be human, by all means, have at it), and 2) I am no longer a member of the House of Netjer Kemetic Temple or the Kemetic Orthodox religion in any capacity (including Remetj). I have formally resigned, and am better for it.

The issue

So let's talk about being religious or spiritual, but also being human. Because apparently, those two things can't exist in the same space, at least if you're a member of the House of Netjer.

Personal Support... or lack-thereof.

We used to have a space, up until a few days ago, in the HoN spiritual organization called "Personal Support". It was a place where people could discuss their personal feelings, trials, tribulations, and seek support from fellow members. Basically, it was a place to be human, in the presence of your fellow Kemetic Orthodox followers.

A couple of days ago, the administration decided to pulled the Personal Support channel (and also a political-esque channel called current affairs) because people's feelings cause too much trouble. Well ok, that's not entirely true. The real reason is "because HoN members can't act like fucking adults and just scroll past things they don't like", but let's put that aside for now.

I can tell you from experience, the pulling of that channel was on people's minds for years, and it tended to be less about what people posted, and more about the fact that people couldn't fathom just letting people talk and express without reporting content perpetually that they simply didn't like. It's a moderation burden, I definitely don't disagree with that, but not because of the content (at least not by-and-large, I would not blame the content to a degree of at least 90 - 95%).

At the time I was still a moderator, I was dead-set against removing that channel and the current events channel, as I believe spiritual spaces are human spaces first and foremost, and humans have emotions, and humans need and want to express those emotions among people they trust. Spiritual spaces should be one of those trusted environments. But there are still a lot of people (particularly old-guard) who want the space to be "strictly spiritual" with very little actual humanity in it unless it is related directly to Netjer.

That bugs me. A lot.

[Side note: They consider the "prayer requests" area to be a suitable replacement. Ah yes, a blessed tots-and-pears to you as well.]

What the hell happened (and why it's at least partially the community's fault)

One of the biggest reasons this was done in my opinion is because the moderation team is too constrained in what it is socially permitted to do by the community. This has been an ongoing problem for a very long time: the moderation team is unable to properly act because they are perpetually burned at the stake by the community, and no one does anything about that. Bullies run rampant as I've discussed in numerous previous posts. Essentially the moderators aren't given enough leeway to truly moderate, and that restriction actually doesn't come from the top -- the Board and even Tamara Siuda has always been supportive of the moderators doing what needs to be done, but the community is intolerant, and therein lies the real problem.

For example, part of problematic content in a place like "Personal Support" is violence in content, or illegal activity in content. The response to such posts should be swift: the first moderator to see it, should record and delete it. Logs are also automatically kept that cannot be deleted or modified by moderators anyway, so there is always a record of what really happened. In any other large spiritual or religious community, this is how moderation works: you act, and ask questions / flesh out the situation later. Protection of the community is paramount, and this also helps to control bullies who like to use things to their advantage to attack organization spaces and people. They start to learn that they aren't more powerful than the administration, which sadly wasn't true in the House of Netjer, and still seems to be the case.

But that's not how our moderation works. In our moderation system, the moderators are so petrified, so frozen, by the potential response by the community, they have absolutely no teeth. They will leave content sit will they discuss it for a week (exaggeration to make a point) and then, maybe, it will get removed. By that point, the damage is already done. What's worse is that if they do remove content, the community can go into an uproar, and the moderators are basically forced by a combination of the community being out of control, and direction from the higher-ups (*coughs*Tamara) to not keep curtailing conversations as it makes things worse (well it wouldn't if we had have set our boundaries and stuck to them to begin with, but whatever), to let that go on without intervention.

What I'm describing here is a community that has no idea how to accept being told "No", and what ends up happening, is that good things are taken away, to make moderation "easier" and to save face (something the House has always prioritized above all else). They want the place to not need moderation, so their solution is to remove the "human" spaces they think is causing all the uproar, where they perceive people could perpetually get themselves into trouble.

This is not the way.

Community Insults: allowed to stand in plain sight

This whole situation was then exasperated by a member calling out the personal support content as "adolescent angst" and calling people talking about abuse by friends/family "adolescent hyperbole", before finally stating that "mature adults" can't tolerate this stuff. Well last I checked, "mature adults" can keep on scrolling if they don't like the content, and moderators can reinforce that community standard by reminding people they don't have to report every iota of a thing they don't like, they can simply move the fuck on. I'm not saying some of the content wasn't angst or hyperbole, but I can say it is incredibly offensive to have a member say that in front of other members who are literally struggling with mental health on a daily basis, and really needed that channel to find support from their fellow members.

This exchange caused no fewer than two members to leave in short order, and honestly it is hard to blame them. Meanwhile, other honest, truthful feelings posted about the situation were removed.

The Johnson Amendment

This was all coupled by a lot of misinformation on the Johnson Amendment, and the reason for removing the current-world-affairs space as well as curtailing certain topics and feelings people can express via that means. So let's talk about the Johnson Amendment, what it is, and what it isn't.

What is it, what is prohibited:

The Johnson Amendment is a tax law. It explains that tax-exempt organizations cannot participate in, or intervene in favor of or against, any political campaign or political candidate. This means, for exmaple, tax-exempt organizations cannot collect political contributions on behalf of a person or campaign, or make statements to support candidates from any official organizational office (eg: from the pulpit for example).

The Johnson Amendment targets the organization and its official offices and officers, not general membership.

What is NOT prohibited:

General membership discussing politics, even in official spaces such as Churches

Voter registration drives

Voter educational activities

Preaching and teaching on social and political issues of concern

Publishing material that outlines political issues for voters

Political forums that do not explicitly endorse candidates or groups

How many organizations have gotten in trouble under this law?

Since it's implementation in 1954, one single organization ahead of the 1992 election was dinged. It was due to them taking out advertisements in newspapers calling on Christians not to vote a certain way (a clear violation of the amendment). In otherwords, your violation of the Johnson Amendment has to be pretty on-the-nose to get in trouble.

Where the problem lies for HoN:

HoN needs to get over itself. They are not about to become the second case in history to fall to the Johnson Amendment, particularly based on the content we used to have (which was not a violation ever of the Johnson Amendment). But the House has enemies. I'm not talking about critics (which are natural and necessary), I'm talking about people who actually want to direct harm toward the organization, its officials, and its membership. And there is that anxiety that is born of potentially a bunch of people getting together to report molehills, and eventually turning it into a mountain.

So I get it, I really do: No one wants to live in or inflict that anxiety. But there has to be a balance. Spiritual organizations serve people as a whole, not just "parts" of people. So as the House 'takes things away', I'd love to know more about what the House will be doing to give some balance to that situation.

Decisions like this do feel a lot like taking away the humanity of Kemetic Orthodoxy. We had one space where people felt free enough to just 'be an emotional human', and it was taken away. That does hurt on some level, it hurt people enough to leave, and I think taking it away rather than reformulating the idea of the space was probably not the right call.

Religious groups. have. social. spaces. online. You can go to huge religious forums and see things like spaces for different life stages, age groups, hobbies and interests, history, physical health, mental health, ethics, morality, news and current events, the list goes on. The fact that we can't figure out how to do that, with a fraction of the membership of other organizations, is concerning. We can't seem to figure out how to serve the community without restricting heavily the same community we serve.

I kind of hate that.

Final Thoughts

The House of Netjer no longer has any idea what it means to be human in my book. In previous opinions, I've often stated I felt the House of Netjer was still a safe space for people of the Kemetic persuasion to be, and I would even continue to recommend it to others.

That opinion has changed.

The House of Netjer is not a place you want to be if you want to be a Kemetic Polytheist, and definitely not if you want to be human while doing it. The House of Netjer is ableist at the very least and is in the habit of protecting bullies and liars. They've also shown to be American-centric, racist, and classist over the years as well, things which I wish I would have paid attention to a long, long time ago. My feelings right now is that everyone who has ever donated a dollar to this organization has been duped by Tamara Siuda into paying for her living expenses, and not much else.

If you're wondering why I'm saying this while still being a part of Kemetic Orthodox membership: don't worry -- I'm not. I've formally resigned from the ableist organization called "House of Netjer" who has been traumatizing people, or allowing them to be traumatized, for 20+ years.

I do wish a lot of people the best within the organization, and I wish them all the luck in the world for reorganization. They are having voting soon to put at least I think two fresh faces on the organization's board, so if you are still in the House of Netjer and still holding out fucking hope it's going to be anything other than a shit-show: choose and vote wisely. Some people are listening to you more than others.

Thinking about all the things that Kawi has already changed, even if he goes back to the future and finds that he's not living the life he thought he would be, he has done so much for the people around him.

-he's saved Pear and Pisaeng from a miserable marriage. Pear won't have her heart broken, Pisaeng won't be trapped in the closet to appease his family's expectations. Pisaeng knows himself now, and Pear was saved a decade of being uncertain about Pisaeng's real feelings, and from a marriage to someone who can't love her the way she needs.

-Kawi's dad is taking better care of his health, because Kawi took the time to connect with his dad and make it known that he cared about his health. Reestablishing a healthy relationship with his dad gave Kawi and his dad happiness, but it also gave a different weight to his dad's health concerns and how he took Kawi's opinion into consideration, and how he valued his health.

-Kawi is building confidence in himself, and branching out. He is not on track to be a lonely man in a job he doesn't enjoy anymore.

-Kwan and Pear calling out the seniors for their hazing and bullying has undoubtedly changed how those activities will continue going forward.

-Kwan being kind to Not is likely to create a ripple effect, though I am not particularly interested in a Not redemption arc that doesn't involve him being tossed out a window.

-Max! Max has not spent a decade thinking that his best friend pushed him away because of his sexuality! He's saved that pain, and the impact that it would have on his future relationships!

-Kawi is joining a band! His participation will change the band's story, but also his own, and their fans, and I can't wait to see what happens!

-Pisaeng isn't alone anymore. He has Kawi, he has a better understanding of his relationship with Pear, he has Max in his corner, and most importantly, he has himself. He understands himself in a way he didn't-- couldn't -- in the previous future. Think of all the self loathing and misery and denial and heartache that Pisaeng won't have to face now, and try not to get overwhelmed.

I'm sure there are a lot more things that we'll see in coming episodes, besides the romance with Pisaeng, and I can't wait. If you can see a change that I've missed, please add it!

I have many thoughts about Be My Favorite since I started watching this show two weeks ago. It has been plaguing my mind in an absolutely not normal way. I’m making this show my whole personality and that’s something that hasn’t happened in a long ass time. With that being said, I just needed to put my thoughts somewhere... Does any of this make any sense or have continuity or understandability? Nah, but it was fun for me.

Pisaeng doesn’t get married to Pear in any of the new future realities.

This is wishful thinking but not really. Episode 5 I think showed us Pisaeng going through his whole self-discovery and acceptance of his sexuality alone (as in with no romantic partner to make him figure it out like @mikuni14 explained in their post). Even with his mother being the woman that she is, who shoves her son in the closet while “supporting that community”, I think Pisaeng is sure of himself and mentally strong enough not to fall into heteronormativity and get married to Pear anymore. It would feel too dishonest to the character if that was to happen now that he said he knows what he is and that he isn’t the same 15 year old unsure kid. And also dishonest to Pear who said she knew he wasn’t interested in her and was only waiting for him to tell her.

Pear gets married to Not.

Am I happy with that? Absolutely not. Is it obvious that that’s the way the story will go? Also no, really. But there is something about their footage on the wedding party that gives me the impression that they are one getting married.

And that Max and Pisaeng are very close in the future too (hence why Max goes to Kawi’s apartment to scold (?) him about knowing why Kawi and Pisaeng aren’t close anymore.) (Am I hoping for them to be a couple in the future where there is no Kawi bc apparently Kawi becomes a jerk? Yes, but that’s not the point.)

Not is a scum bag and bully, and while I think that things might be changing for him in the past (because people are calling him out on his bs) we don’t know for sure how much he changes.

Aye does say in the Be My Favorite Stories that we see Pear as this wholesome, bright and amiable person who we all love, but in future episodes, we’ll see that no one can be a complete angel and we’ll see a completely different side of her. Maybe that’s about her father. Maybe it’s about her work ambitions. Maybe that’s just something else entirely. I’m very curious to see her development in the story because she has been proving time and time again that she has the emotional intelligence of the group along with Max.

We know that Pear will also fight with Kawi at the wedding and Kawi gets physical with Not. Kawi has Kawi reasons to feel upset I’m sure, but I think it’s fair to assume that Kawi is crashing their party. In BMF Stories, we’re told that Kawi isn’t close/in good terms to anyone anymore. Not Pisaeng, not Max, not Pear, and not even Not, so why would he even be invited. I’m sure it’ll be a mess just like my thoughts on this wedding (s).

Two (or more) timelines for the wedding party.

We have this Kawi that no one likes.

and this more dressed up Kawi.

Also this fabulous dress that I assume will be part of the story too and not only for dress testing purposes because Aye looks amazing (her dresses could also be different because one is for the ceremony and the other for the party, but I’m not sure how common that is).

Things in the future bad + go back to the present in panic

This has been brought up before, but it’s my favorite part of the BMF Stories, and that’s the moment when Kawi goes to/from to the future, but Pisaeng is in the room talking to him about his dad in the hospital.

We get the hug and the crying

Meaning that things 10 years from now are shitty and he probably messed up big time. The director also says this is a big moment for Kawi when explaining the scene to Gawin. Watch how he reacts during the scene and try to comfort him in this moment, and all of that.

Do we know exactly what happens? No. We assume that is shitty because he’s once again alone (but he has his fans because hey, now he’s famous. He has a career and prestige, but is it worth it if none of the people who matter, as in not only his friends but also his dad because I saw some people theorizing that Kawi’s dad will die regardless of what he does [and Pear’s father is not to be trusted] are there with him to enjoy his success?)

Now...

When the beach scenes happen?

When does Pisaeng tells Kawi that he’ll disappear from his life?

What happens to Dad?

What is Pear’s “dark side”?

And a bunch of other questions I’m sure will be answered with more questions as the weeks pass...

Be My Favorite might as well be one of my favorite shows that I’ve watched this year. Character driven shows will always have my heart, and it has been so fun to watch it. I hope we get a satisfying second half.

I have a feeling that Azul was not exactly a big fan of the summertime, on the surface that is. Being an octomer who has spent the majority of his life within the much cooler ocean, his first summer on the surface felt like absolute hell. It was far too hot, everything was sticky and sweaty, he was always dehydrated, his skin was far more adapted to receiving sunlight beneath the waves, not above it, so I think he would sunburn easily.

Because of this, he would absolutely join you in the much more comfortable indoors during the blistering summer heat. Maybe you would like to join him in the Coral Sea? He could easily procure a potion to allow you to breathe beneath the waves and the temperature is much cooler and better yet, no bugs. While beneath the waves, you will not have to worry about a single bug.

Azul is a very emotional person, he just works very hard to keep them in check. As a child, he would cry over everything, especially if the bullies were involved. If he sees that a situation is getting far too overwhelming for you and your anxiety is starting to rise higher and higher, he quickly enlists the tweels in getting rid of what is causing this to happen (if it is a person), while he quickly whisks you away to either his dorm room or the VIP Lounge, which would have two different results.

If you were taken to his dorm room, he brings out a spare set of pajamas that he had purchased after he started dating you. Once changed, he lets you lay in his bed, all tucked in and cozy while he makes you a cup of tea with some small snacks. He will stay there with you until he knows that you are alright, or until you fall asleep (his bed looks so freaking cozy).

If you were taken to the VIP Lounge, he lets you lay down on one of the couches that are within while still getting you some tea and snacks. Azul would discard his jacket and opt to place it over you instead. You are free to stay within the lounge for as long as you please while he finishes some work that he needs to get done.

Overall, Azul would give your relationship 110% at all times while still being the charming businessman that he is. He ensures that you are well taken care of at all times and to make sure the day is less anxiety inducing as he can. He may mess up a little along the way but he really is trying, For you, he will always try.

OKAY SO

1. Strawberry. Everyone bullies me for having this as my favourite fruit and after having a lot of mediocre strawberries sometimes I'm like damn... Maybe I AM lame... But then I have a GOOD strawberry and it's fucking transcendent. Strawberries are the best fruit hands down. And they're so cute too!! And the flowers are pretty!!!! One day I will get a tattoo of a strawberry

2. Mango. Discovered mangoes through Costco dried mangoes and then had a fresh one (as fresh as you can get in a tiny fuckoff nowhere town) when I was like eleven. We bought it and then I had to wait like a week for it to be ripe but god bending over a mango with juice dripping down to your elbows feasting like some kind of feral fruit bat. Unbeatable. Plus mango as a flavour in smoothies is sooooo good

3. Pears. Man one of the camps I lived at for school had a pear tree in their yard and I got sooooo spoiled for ripe pears. And a pear cider is so crisp and juicy and it's like apple but more subtle? Man. I had a pear pastry once that fucked so hard I saw god

4. Crabapples from my Nana's house. This feels like cheating but the apples there are maybe 1.5in in diameter and they're so sweet and crisp. She's got three other kinds of crabapple trees in her yard but these I can literally eat bucketfuls without stopping. I can imagine them perfectly. One time we made applesauce from literally every crabapple tree we could find--four at my Nana's, four at home, one at the old church, one on the street--and we made THREE REGULAR RUBBERMAIDS FULL. That was Fall 2012 and we still have jars of that in our cellar.

5. Plums. My Nana used to have a little plum tree that made like two plums a year. I didn't used to be a plum appreciator because I was a child with no taste. But once you've had fresh black plums that are tree ripe there's no going back. I do think it helps that plums grow where I live so they just taste better than other fruits because of how ripe they are. Man when the flesh peels perfectly off the stone. When the skin breaks under your teeth. Fuck dude. Also there's that one little prose about the dad going to buy plums for his daughter and it makes me ugly cry. Like thinking about it right now is making me tear up. I love plums. The fact there's no plum emoji is homophobic.

Keito: It looks like one of our temple’s parishioners is experimenting with what they grow. They haven’t been able to cultivate some that are good for sale yet, so they gave them to us instead of letting them go to waste.

My family can’t handle all this food alone, so it’d be great if you guys helped eat it. Here, Sakuma-san, have some too.

Rei: Oh, thankies. Bon appétit~♪

Munch munch. …But ya know, Bouzu, I didn’t come here just to extort some food from you~

I might’ve snuck away from my business overseas to come back for a bit, but I gotta head back on over real soon~

Keito: Hm. So then, why did you come back to Japan in the first place?

Rei: Hum. Well, there really isn’t a need to be all mysterious, and it ain’t like I gotta lot of time to kill, so I’ll try an’ make this short and sweet. My main plan was to introduce ya to Adonis-kun.

So, it’d be real difficult for someone like me to constantly look after this kid.

If possible, I was hopin’ ya could look after him too.

Rei: Yeah… Well, Oooogami~ Koooga~kun with the very cool name—if you’d like, how about ya take care of Adonis-kun, too.

You’re probably ‘round the same age, go on and make friends with him.

Rei: This kid’s got a ripe reaction to every little thing, don’t he… This is just gettin’ more and more amusin’

Well, there isn’t a need to think about it too heavily. Just keep an eye out for ‘im as you see fit on campus.

If it looks like he’s about to get mixed up with some trouble, all’s you gotta do is stealthily get ‘im outta there.

This kid, he may look tough, but he’s a good boy with a tender heart… Say someone goes pickin’ a fight with him, I bet he wouldn’t know just how to approach that.

So if someone bullies him, just casually help a guy out. I’m beggin’ ya, and naturally I’ll be doin’ my best to look after him, too.

Adonis: Got it. I’m indebted to you, Sakuma-senpai.

Rei: Nah, I’m just returnin’ a favor. Rewardin’ one favor with another, that’s one of the rules of a human society.

Keito: Sakuma-san. I’m well acquainted with your arrogance, but I think this is a new low… Aren’t you just one-sidedly pushing all the hassle onto us?

Rei: Of course, now that I’ve gone an’ asked a favor of ya I’ve gotta compensate ya, you have my word. Yeeep, I’ll reward you properly.

Bouzu. You got some use for me, seems like you’re tryna feature me in somethin’ big. But…

I’ve got a lotta obligations of my own, so I can’t really agree with the way you’re thinkin’.

You’re still youthful an’ naive, so this ain’t got anythin’ to do with you nabbin’ up a pessimistic view of life…

Talkin’ from experience, no matter how much the average person may flail about, he can’t turn the tides.

An individual person—even an outstanding man like yours truly, Rei-sama-chan—just can’t rewrite the world’s fate.

You must not try to change it. You ought to let it be, everything’ll take its course naturally.

That’s fine, ain’t it~? The idol industry is full of unmotivated people, an’ Yumenosaki academy is slowly washin’ away.

Stuff like that’s just fate, so how about ya just abandon hope and let the tides take ya along.

Even if one industry grows weary an’ dies out, another one’ll just spring from the ashes.

I didn’t mean to go and quote Darwin's theory of evolution, but hey, that’s how natural selection works—the best are weeded out an’ survive to shape their environment.

That kinda thing ain’t a place humans should be forcibly stickin’ their hands in to meddle.

In this world God has created, we shouldn’t dare break the rules by intervenin’~

If ya brute force it, you’re gonna contort the machine of life an’ displace some cog, leavin’ it even more pitiful than it was before.
