This is insane. I didn’t know 6 characters on screen at all times without noticeable frame drops was possible.

@whsprhouse said: jim sets their hat upon mutt's head with one hand. the brim falls down over his eyes, so with a finger they flick it up, and give him a little smirk that's almost soft. "keep the sun off your face, mijito."
unprompted...kind of.
the enthusiasm to strip down and swim hadn’t been shared by mutt. he’d self-consciously shrugged, spit out that he didn’t really feel up to it. someone’s gotta keep watch, you know, said with something tightening up in his chest and throat.
he’d plopped himself down on the sand, instead. they call for him, once or twice, for him to join them, but he shook his head. he didn’t even remove his boots, or the studded leather jerkin layered above the too-large shirt underneath. sweat drips behind his collar and runs down in itchy rivulets down his back. he ignores it, even if he squirms a little if he let his brain pay too much attention to it.
he watches the scene playing out in the water with a scrunched nose, unsure if this were in reaction to the glaring, unrelenting rays from the sun, or in something nearing amusement. frenchie is on top of wee john’s shoulders, ivan is on top of fang’s shoulders, and the two of them are laughing as they awkwardly swat at each other.
observation is cut off abruptly, with--
“ the fu-- “ he snarls out, taken aback by the sudden light weight on his head, the way it slumps over his eyes. before he can move it aside, jim flicks the floppy brim. keep the sun off your face, mijito. “ fine. “ he halfheartedly toes at the sand with his boot, and flicks it to the side so it sprays jim. “ aren’t you going to join them? “

Do you know these "obligatory beach episodes" in like almost every anime? Here is the beach episode, so we got that out of the way :')
It's basically the "origin of Mu", since she is a coconut milk bunny :3 At least that's how I imagine a blob of coconut milk to "come to life".

Idea: FMA anime's obligatory filler 'beach episode', but instead of the beach it's everyone having a snow day in Amestris. Will there be alchemy involved? Yes. Will it lead to an over-the-top snowball fight? Definitely.
((If this gets 50 notes i'll draw it hehe))

this is going to be so ooc, but that one anime trope of a character whose fringe covers their eyes and when they push it back they're suddenly very attractive....... that but with loser virgin jade. <3 you think he's this weirdo in your class who is so quiet and shy, who gets this very creepy smile whenever anyone mentions mushrooms or the mountains. and then of course there's the trope of the nosebleed. you fall and land in a compromising position during pe and you can be sure there's a trail of blood running from his nostrils. or, even better, jade trips and lands right on top of you. T_T staining your pe clothes with his blood. waaaaa he's a loser!!!!! (obligatory beach episode where everyone's playing volleyball and he falls right into your chest......)
but then you happen to catch him in the woods one day and he's brushed his hair back and suddenly he's hot?????? has he always looked like this? his eyes are so striking. is this really the same guy?
(this is basically just idia, but sometimes you need the normally cool and collected jade to be the touch-starved virgin instead. <3)

Okay but Operation Sea Lion and Beach Blanket Brain are paired with each other and together they make up the PatB obligatory anime beach episode.
Another thought regarding these episodes, what if Operation Sea Lion was the lead in for Beach Blanket Brain and Brain was taking Pinky to a party down by the beach to cheer him up after being rejected by Winnie the sea lion? Cause let's be real, Brain was more interested in showing off his surfing skills and dancing than actually taking over the world in that episode.

Pyukumuku (#771)
Holothorunna parva
Pyukumuku, the Sea Cucumber Pokémon. This adorable Pokémon is capable of spitting out its organs, which can take different shapes such as a fist! Watch out! If you accidentally step on one of these guys, it will smack you with its fist-shaped organs! When it’s on land, its body is coated in a viscous fluid that allows it to remain on land without drying out. This same fluid is used in traditional medicines as a moisturizer.
This tiny adorable menace averages at 1 ft tall (0.3 M) and 2.6 pounds (1.2 kg).
Habitat: They are mostly found in the warm, sunlit waters of the Pacific Ocean. Pyukumukus are often on land, either beaches or rocky outcroppings, and in shallow waters. Please note, that while they are definitely sea cucumbers, they are not a universal replacement for all sea cucumbers, and there are still going to be many other species of sea cucumbers.
Life Cycles: Pyukumukus mate fairly randomly with other Pokémon. There doesn’t seem to be any particular courtship rituals, just whichever mate that’s around that they tolerate enough to make babies with. When they do lay eggs, Pyukumukus will lay eggs into the 200s at a time, which is about once a year during the fall. These tiny eggs will hatch in the winter (when oxygen levels are at their highest in the water) as an equally tiny Pyukumuku. They reach sexual maturity when they are at level 15.
As indicated by their reproductive rates, Pyukumukus are eaten by a lot of things, which explains their quick tempers and willingness to punch things.
Pyukumukus are known to live up to 10 years in captivity!
Behavior: Pyukumukus are finicky little guys that don’t like their spikes or its mouth touched, and will probably punch you for this transgression. Which is valid of it, enforcing its boundaries like that. Outside of this, as long as you’re respectful of its boundaries, Pyukumuku are quite excellent critters to have around as pets and household companions.
Diet: Pyukumukus mostly eat sponges and algae. If you have one as a pet, be sure to get specialty Pyukumuku food available at your local pet store.
Conservation: Least Concern
Relationship with Humans: Often found on beaches in the pacific ocean, Pyukumuku can become a small hazard to beach-goers who aren’t looking where they walk. Inhabitants are familiar with their antics and know to toss Pyukumukus back into the ocean when they’re looking a bit thin (or immediately when they wash up on shore), but tourists tend not to like them, creating a need for part-time Pyukumuku-Chucking jobs during the height of tourist season.
Pyukumukus are very meme-able Pokémon in this world. They’re cute, they’ll punch you, and they’re a tiny menace to warm beaches everywhere. In the obligatory Beach Episode of an anime, there’s usually a Pyukumuku gag. At the beaches they inhabit, vendors often sell Pyukumuku merchandise, including the always popular “I was punched by a Pyukumuku!” t-shirts. They are quintessential to the Pacific Islands, and are often taken home as pets.
As trainer companions well, they can fight, but most folks with Pyukumukus aren’t using them for combat. They’re generally seen as seaside pets and tiny menaces, not battle companions. Still, folks have a love-hate relationship with them, and they’ve captured the hearts of many all over the globe.
Classification: Holothorunna parva. The genus name “Holothorunna” is a combination of “Holothuroidea” (the Class that is sea cucumbers) and “Jorunna” (the genus name for the “sea bunny”, an unrelated sea slug that Pyukumuku bears design resemblance to), and its species epithet “parva” means “small” and is also the species epithet for the sea bunny.

Hey guess what, if you like my stuff, this is my website where you can find other Pokémon I've written on and more information about the game that I’m slowly making! Check it out! I write books sometimes too.

Hirogaru Sky! Precure Episode 30 Review - Obligatory Beach Episode
It can’t be an anime without the obligatory beach episode! Fortunately, this beach episode isn’t all fanservice and it’s just kids having fun at the beach. It was a nice episode that fit the summer vibes.
Tumblr media
Sora doesn’t know how to swim! Apparently, the only way she got by when she fell in Skylandian lakes was holding her breath and walking on the bottom. I’m surprised she hasn’t drowned; it’s also good that she’s not from this world because if any other Earthling tried this, well, they’d drown. I also like how she said she was too busy drowning to realize that the ocean was beautiful with a big smile plastered on her face. Wow, I think this is the first time I’ve seen an anime talk about drowning as if it’s an everyday occurrence for her. I can’t swim myself, but from stories that my friends told me about how they learned to swim, most of them said that their dads threw them into the pool to teach them how to swim; I feel like Sora was like this in a way. She was thrown into a situation where she fell into the ocean and now she had to swim for safety. I guess that method works for Sora.
I just think that seeing the Precures have fun in this episode was what made it fun. I like seeing them have fun. It’s nothing eventful but it’s nice seeing a fun episode. It’s also fun to see Sora being taught how to swim by the other Precures. Tsubasa turned how to swim from a bird friend on Skyland; Ageha’s too used to kiddie basics that she didn’t teach Sora how to swim; Mashiro is surprisingly a swimming expert despite not being very athletic. She was being all haughty ojou-sama with her hair flips as she mentioned being a level 8 in swimming.
I think the reason why this beach episode was given to us is to signify that summer is ending—this is the last episode of August—and that next week, the plot kicks in as it seems that Ellee has been kidnapped by the Underg Empire. Yeah, I understand why they decide to add this episode in. No more fun next week onwards. What are your thoughts of this episode and are you ready for plot to kick in next week?
