You're a character being played by Milo Ventimiglia, and your name is a one-syllable name that starts with J. And after a long separation, you see her.
It's your ex-girlfriend! And despite the way things ended, she looks happy to see you!
She's happy to see you... you're happy to see her...
Everything is good. And who knows what could happen?
But then, the next day...
He shows up.
Your ex-girlfriend has a new boyfriend. And it's This Guy. Matt Czuchry.
And if I had a nickel for every time this happened... I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's so, SO weird that it's happened twice!
Baby Milo with baby Chris Evans in opposite sex. It's hard to believe Chris turned into this big star, but at the time of the show Milo was more experienced.
Chris played this goofy guy who thought he was a Casanova of sorts 😄 and Milo played this adorable guy who fell for an older girl. Ah, highschool 🤩
Also, Chris looked like a complete dork 😅 while Milo was cute. Now they're both hot in their own way, but baby Milo was definitely cuter than baby Chris.
I watched the first ep of opposite sex on Vimeo the other day and it’s actually a decent watch lol. Like if I was a teen in the early 2000 I would’ve ate that show up 🤣
Ah, it's on Vimeo, too, eh? You can also find a ton of videos of it over on YouTube. It does have a certain ca. 2000 flavor. Like, I can see how this was on at the same time as Gilmore Girls.
I try to say “the other sex” and not “the opposite sex” because i think positioning the sexes as “opposite” denotes that the sexes are “facing each other” which has obvious sexual undertones and is therefore heterosexist
heterosexist language to describe bodily sex contributes to lesbian and gay body dysphoria, disassociation, and disidentificaton, and i won’t contribute to it.
Ah, Melted Ice Cream...my favorite label from Christchurch, New Zealand. There have been so many great releases from this label run by Joe Sampson (Salad Boys).
This release is Violet French backed by The Horrible. Violet was originally from Dunedin but now lives in Christchurch (where The Horrible are also based). The music and vocals have the feel of Opposite Sex or Terror of the Deep (which I had forgotten how much I love).
But French's vocals and melodies also hint at the beauty and range of Natalie Merchant. The band is made up of members of Kool Aid, Dogfish,Wurld Series and Kane Strang.

Baby Milo in the Opposite sex 😍 I actually liked the show. Even though it was a bit naive and totally early 2000s, but it was cute and funny in it's own way. Also, the early 00s fashion is everything 😄

A character looks straight into the camera and says "I'm not interested in romance" and people will still say "No, it's not confirmed they're aromantic!!!" "They could change their mind!!!" "it's a challenge for them to overcome!!!" "They'll have character development that makes them fall in love"
It's like they are given the most blatant answer to a character romantic orientation and they actively ignore it. all the while all it takes is subtext for people to speak as if it is fact for a character to be any other sexuality.
