He IS blacklisted by Radio 1 though, otherwise they would play his music.
Anon - this strongly suggests you don't know what a blacklist is. There are many, many artists that aren't played on radio 1. The idea that blacklisting is a good explanation for why an artist isn't played on radio 1 is absurd.

yeah... i finally got to 4x09 and travis' speech to vic about how he was good and left his scars alone to heal and that's why he doesn't have a single trace of any of the major trauma on his chest anymore ...and it does actually make me more frustrated with the whole disappearing scars thing
people don't get scars because of some moral quality, or because they are bad patients who can't leave their skin/wounds alone; scars are a natural part of healing, and will likely happen regardless, no matter how "good" or "bad" of a patient you are
there are a ton of factors that will affect how you scar, from the type of injury to your genetics - and the vast majority of the factors that affect are out of your control!
and yeah wound care is ofc one factor but it is not the only one, and even if you have the best surgeon in the world and absolutely perfect wound care, there will almost certainly still be a scar! that's how skin works, having a scar doesn't equate that you inherently did something wrong! having a scar also doesn't signify badness or incompetence on your part!
and so idk introducing not having any scars where there should be at least hints of two as an 'i have a unscarred perfect chest again because i was patient and i am good and i left well enough alone' kind of metaphor feels ...harmful to me

A friend once told me that when they are struggling with getting laundry done, she pretends it is her sworn duty to smuggle the young prince out of the castle to safety, disguised in a laundry hamper.
Now, when I am struggling with hygiene, I pretend I am part of a village with an annual festival, and I get one day a year to spend luxuriously at a bathhouse in preparation.
What my friend imparted on me was the skill of turning mundane tasks into fantastical adventures to make them more compelling and bearable.
So next time you need to go on a mental health walk, maybe consider doing reconnaissance for a secret underground organisation.
Next time cooking is too much of a chore, consider you ability to turn space station rations into a feast to the delight of your crewmates.

I just spent some time scrolling through this blog and am suffering from sever laughter. Thanks so much for collating the countries craziest moments. One of my favourites is when Scott Morrison was in Hawaii while the bushfires where burning.
December 2019: As Australia's east coast is engulfed in the worst bushfires in living memory, rumours begin to circulate that Australia's Prime Minister Scott Morrison may have secretly fucked off for a holiday in Hawaii.
Keep in mind, this is what is going down in Australia at the time:
Tumblr media
The Hawaii rumour is initially written off as a fringe conspiracy, because surely nobody could be that fuckin tonedeaf, and it was quickly forgotten about... until an Australian man visiting Hawaii UPLOADED A SELFIE ON THE BEACH WITH THE PM THROWING A SHAKA.
At which point all hell broke loose.
Tumblr media
Overnight the formerly popular "Scomo" became the most despised man in all of Australia. Think "firefighters shouting out of their windows to news cameras" level of despised.
After about two days of radio silence and pretending like he was still at home running the country, the Prime Minister's handlers finally dragged him onto call with an Australian radio station, where he pinky promised to return to Australia as fast as he could in an attempt to calm things down.
Unfortunately Scott's empathy consultant (a real job) then had to watch Scott pour more gasoline on the dumpster fire by uttering the now famous phrase "Look I don't hold a hose mate" when asked by the radio interviewer why the fucking fuck the fuckhead wasn't fucking in Australia doing his fucking job during a massive fucking crisis.
Testing just how much worse things could get, Scomo then proceeded to NOT rush back to Australia as promised, instead attempting to complete the rest of his holiday, a fact that was exposed when a passerby snapped a picture of him still lounging on the beach two days later.
Tumblr media
Eventually, holiday complete, Morrison did reluctantly slink back to Australia, and in an attempt to calm things down, he decided to pay a visit to a small town that had been destroyed by the fires.
Which was a big mistake.
Scomo still had not registered how absolutely and totally he had screwed the poodle with his Hawaiian beach vacation, and he walks into what is now taught in PR classes as one of the greatest examples of "what not do do in a crisis" in all of history.
Scotty from Marketing, as he is now dubbed by the nation, spends a painfully cringe-inducing hour wandering around a burned down town with TV news cameras in tow, having to FORCE PEOPLE TO SHAKE HIS HAND in what is some of the most awkward footage you will ever see.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At this point it's probably also worth mentioning that, before becoming Prime Minister, Scott Morrison's biggest claim to fame in politics was being the guy that was so far up the coal lobby's arse that he literally brought coal into parliament and waved it around, claiming it doesn't hurt people.
Tumblr media
So when a protest was organised it turned out to be one big national fuck you to the Prime Minister, the likes of which the world has never seen before or since.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Needless to say, at this point Scomo's career was dead in the water, but thanks to the rules brought in to stop Australian political parties from knifing their leader every two weeks (a popular Aussie passtime) Morrison basically couldn't get fired until after the next election.
And so, when the election rolled around in 2022, we decided that was an opportune time to travel over to Hawaii to erect this bad boy tribute to the Prime Minister, on the very beach where Scomo had sat and drank margaritas that one fateful week in December as Australia burned (thanks to @chaser for funding the ticket)

WAYS WE CAN HELP PALESTINE:
as of 9am today, 8131 palestinians were killed, 20438 are injured and 1.4 million have been displaced. it’s important for all of us to help palestine in as many ways as we can.
i also cannot stress how much just spreading awareness in general can help. staying silent because of your discomfort is not an excuse to sit by while a genocide takes place. when we learn about these events in history we often think “how was this allowed to happen?” but that’s exactly what’s happening now and it’s our responsibility to not sit by and let an entire country be wiped out. i will continue adding more ways to help to this post and i’d really appreciate it if anyone can spread this as much as possible.
it’s important to get educated on everything going on in palestine right now, here are some sources that could help!
decolonize palestine - made by two palestinians, answers a lot of questions regarding everything right now (including debunking a lot of myths from biased news stations) and provides a lot of historical context.
list of documentaries to watch if you want to gain further knowledge
list of accounts to follow on twitter that can also provide information
linktree with information
you can also donate to organisations! even if you can’t donate tons of money, you can help by spreading these links so others can also try to donate!

PCRF
MAP
doctors w/o borders
palestinian social fund
palestinian in pain launch good
this website is free and uses ad revenue for donations, all you need to do is click it once daily!
some more places you can donate to and some more
boycotting will also help!! also some of the kpop idols we stan have brand deals with ones that support 🇮🇱 so please let’s not interact with their posts with those brands
list from BDS of companies to boycott
signing petitions!
write to representatives and demand they retract their support of 🇮🇱
ways to contact local governments about helping palestine
if you’re in the uk here’s a link to contact your local MP

[AlJazeera is Qatari State Media]
[5:18 GMT - 7:52 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
[5:18 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
The leader of Hamas’s military wing says the group has launched a new operation against Israel. In a rare public statement, Mohammed Deif said that 5,000 rockets had been fired into Israel early Saturday to begin “Operation Al-Aqsa Storm”. Israel also reported an infiltration from Gaza. “We’ve decided to say enough is enough,” Deif said as he urged all Palestinians to confront Israel.[...]
[5:26 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Here are some more lines by the statement of Mohammed Deif, head of the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas: “We have already warned the enemy before. The occupation committed hundreds of massacres against civilians. Hundreds of martyrs and wounded died this year due to the crimes of the occupation. “We announce the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and we announce that the first strike, which targeted enemy positions, airports, and miltary fortifications, exceeded 5,000 missiles and shells.”[...]
[5:45 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
More than 5,000 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel in the first 20 minutes of the operation, Hamas’s armed wing has said. “We decided to put an end to all the crimes of the occupation (Israel), their time for rampaging without being held accountable is over,” the group said. Israel said it had activated its Iron Dome defence system.[...]]
[5:49 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
The Israeli army says it has declared a “state of readiness for war”.[...]
[5:50 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Saleh al-Arouri, deputy chief of Hamas in the occupied West Bank, has issued a call to arms.[...] “The West Bank is the final word in this battle, and it can open a clash with all the settlements in the West Bank. We call on our people to participate in the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood.”[...]
[5:53 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
The Israeli army says it has started an operation aimed at Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. “There are many pictures circulating on social media especially Palestinian Telegram channels showing Israeli soldiers in Gaza, but as captives,” Al Jazeera’s Ali Hashem said.[...]
[6:05 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Videos circulating on social media have shown Palestinian fighters driving Israeli army vehicles into Gaza.
[6:06 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
“On the streets, we’ve also seen the military vehicles in Gaza with Palestinian youth in the vehicles roaming about the streets happily,” she said. “The Israeli response to all this is going to be different from other times because nothing that has come out of Gaza before has been this strong. This is a first in the history of Gaza, for soldiers to go into Israeli towns, hold armed confrontations,” she added.[...]
[6:09 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Rockets are still being launched from Gaza towards Israel. The sound of Israel’s Iron Dome defence system being activated in response can be heard.[...]
[6:12 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Hamas fighters have taken control of the police station in Israel’s Sderot and a number of people have been injured in a fire exchange, the Israel Broadcasting Authority has reported.[...]
[6:14 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Organisers of protests against the Israeli government’s judicial overhaul plan have cancelled their weekly demonstration scheduled for Saturday night.
“We stand with the residents of Israel and give full support to [the security forces],” the protest organisers said in a statement quoted by the Israeli media. They also called on the people who were planning to participate in the protest “to play their part to safeguard the security and health of the residents of Israel”.[…]
[6:18 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad group has said it is “part of this battle”. “Our cadres stand alongside their brothers in Hamas, shoulder to shoulder, until victory,” a spokesperson said.[…]
[6:20 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Israeli Defence Minister Joav Gallant has approved the mobilisation of reservists, according to his office.[…]
[6:35 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Reporting from Beirut, Lebanon, Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr says that Hamas’s call for others to join their operation against Israel could be interpreted as a reminder to Tel Aviv that if attacks against Gaza continue, there will be a response from other fronts.[...] “So far there has been no response from the armed groups in Lebanon. But what have we seen in the past? There has been coordination every time there is a flare-up, or heightened tension in Palestinian territories,” she added.[...]
[6:43 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Stephanie Hallett, the charge d’affaires at the US embassy in Jerusalem, has slammed the rocket attacks from Gaza against Israel. “I condemn the indiscriminate rocket fire by Hamas terrorists against Israeli civilians,” she said in a statement on social media platform X. “I am in contact with Israeli officials, and fully support Israel’s right to defend itself from such terrorist acts,” she added.[...]
[7:13 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Reporting from the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera’s Youmna ElSayed says that rockets are still being fired “very intensely” from the area. “We’ve seen pictures and videos of Israeli soldiers being killed and videos of Palestinian fighters celebrating around Israeli armed vehicles set on fire,” she said. “We also received a video showing two Israeli soldiers being captured. The video shows that the soldiers are alive and confrontations are still taking place inside those Israeli towns,” she added.[...]
[7:11 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Hundreds of residents in the Gaza Strip have fled their homes to move away from the border with Israel, an AFP correspondent has reported. Men, women and children were seen carrying blankets and food items as they left their homes, mostly in the northeastern part of the Palestinian territory, the reporter said.
[7:29 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Akiva Eldar, a columnist at the Israeli daily Haaretz, says the attack by Hamas should be a wake-up call for Israel. “You can’t go about normalising relations with Arab countries while also trying to expand into Palestinian territories,” he told Al Jazeera. “The image of status quo that you [Israel] can keep Gaza under blockade, you can keep expanding the settlements, and the Palestinian will sit back and say we approve your normalisation with the Gulf countries as long as workers from Gaza can make some money, isn’t going to work,” he added.[...]
[7:29 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
We now have the statement by Ismail Haniya, the head of Hamas’ political bureau[...]
“The enemy besieging Gaza has planned to surprise it and escalate the aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip, in addition to the settlement and aggression that continues every moment in the West Bank, which seeks to uproot our people and expel them from their land, and the crimes of the occupation against our people in the 1948s, as it stands behind all the killing and assassination operations there, and the occupation’s continuation of detaining our prisoners for decades, and reneging on agreements when he re-arrested those liberated from the swap deal. “For all of this, we are waging a battle of honour, resistance and dignity to defend Al-Aqsa, under the title that was announced by Brother Commander-in-Chief Abu Khaled Al-Deif, “Al-Aqsa Flood”. This flood began in Gaza and will extend to the West Bank and abroad, and every place where our people and nation are present.”[...]
[7:47 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Israeli ambassador to the US calls “the free world to unequivocally condemn” the attacks by Hamas and support Israel’s “right to self-defence”.[...]
[7:50 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
President of the European Council Charles Michel says “EU stands in solidarity with Israeli people”. “Strongly condemn the indiscriminate attacks launched against #Israel and its people this morning inflicting terror and violence against innocent citizens,” he wrote on Twitter.[...]
[7:52 GMT, 7 Oct 23]
Israeli army launches ‘Operation Iron Swords’ against the Hamas group in the Gaza Strip, in response to attacks from the territory. Israeli raids have started, as witnesses tell Reuters news agency that explosions are heard in the Gaza city.

Edit: Guys I’ve read through the comments and all and realised that it’s been interpreted way differently then what I intended it to be. This was basically supposed to be a fun take that Bludhaven doesn’t care about how Dick gets the proof as long as it serves justice and it’s the truth. This post was supposed to be one of those scenarios in movies and tv serials where the heroes uncover the crimes by taking it upon themselves even though it may be against the law, and how the officials find it hard to believe their story but since the evidence they found is actually damning and proof that the guy is innocent/guilty they let it slide, PROVIDED no one was harmed or they created violent scale incidents. Dick Grayson as a police officer and Nightwing are both highly trusted and valued so they know they’d always get the proof so the community gives them a bit of leeway when it comes to the finer details.
I noticed that the way I framed things was misleading so I’ve changed the wordings, and hope this is better gets my point across
Dick is a cop.
But Bludhaven does NOT care about rules if the job gets done.
Got proof? 100%?
“You got the job done? You got the guy? And you didn’t walk in dripping in blood or with a target on your head and three organisations coming after you?”
You’re fucking promoted.
Dick Grayson is used to loopholes, but here he doesn’t even need to offer an explanation, no one even bothers to care. This was Bludhaven and actually doing his job was almost impossible through all the invisible red tape. So he thrived in the area of greys.
Dick *rounding up criminals and placing proof that by no way could have even been found, forget legally*
His handler *looks through them* : He’s the guy
Dick: .. yeah
Handler: .. and no mafia gonna declare war on you?
Dick: uh- don’t think so?
Handler: good, book him.
It does horrify all the justice league and batfamily because now instead of the painstaking work they have to put up that explains the many missing hole in their stories of how the information was obtained legally, nightwing can just walk into the police station, leave a sticky note saying “he’s the guy for the crime, I’ll get the evidence in a month brb. Signed, Nightwing~” and no one bats an eye. Because they know he’d always get the proof, and it’s always the truth.
Sometimes an officer even just takes a photo of a guy and texts nightwing “this the guy for the Nelson murder?” And if there’s a “yep :)” then that’s that.
