The most poisonous plant in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Castor oil plant is also known as the "palm of Christ", or Palma Christi, which stems from the plant oil's ability to heal wounds. However, it also has the power to kill, as just one milligram of the plant's poison can kill an adult, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
For centuries, the Chinese have used castor oil as a medicine and when bandaging injuries. The plant is also used to produce biodiesel fuel in Brazil, where it is called mamona oil. Castor oil can also be found in chocolate when it is used as a cocoa butter substitute, as well as in soap, laxatives, ink and plastics .
The flowering plant's seeds, however, contain ricin, an extremely poisonous toxin. Ricin is also present in lower concentrations in the plant's glossy leaves, which are most often dark green or burgundy. The castor oil plant's flowers resemble spiky, hot pink pom-poms and are especially dangerous to small children.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Easter is all about transformation. It’s about hope and glory and power seen in the Lord Jesus. It’s about his resurrection from the dead, the moment He crushed death itself under foot. It’s about the veil being torn, and the separation of God and man finally being bridged by the cross that our savior hung on. And because of this miraculous day, the most amazing day in history, we can be resurrected as well.
Believing in Christ is more than just words. It’s more than a simple prayer. It’s full transformation. It’s throwing off the old self, the dead body we drag around, and putting on the new self. We are new creatures in Christ Jesus, and I wanted to encapsulate that this Easter as my mind felt inspired to.
Praise Jesus for his death and resurrection, that we may have new life.

Happy Palm Sunday everyone!
This year, the observance has really moved me. The image of people lining the streets where Jesus rode through and shouting "Hosanna!" keeps replaying in my mind. It's a word I feel like shouting at the moment. It's a word which means "save us", a plea for salvation, but it's also a cry of joy and praise, like the children at the temple shouting, "Hosanna to the Son of David!". It's a plea for salvation spoken with the joy of knowing the Saviour will deliver it to you. In the week leading up to my baptism on Easter Sunday, my heart is crying out "Hosanna!" too. ❤️🌿

The Lord GOD has given me
a well-trained tongue,
that I might know how to speak to the weary
a word that will rouse them.
Morning after morning
he opens my ear that I may hear;
and I have not rebelled,
have not turned back.

The Liturgy of the Papes
Gospel: Kelly 21:1-11
When they had come near the lodging house and had reached Lower Manhattan, at the bridge of Brooklyn, Jack sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the borough ahead of you, and immediately you will find a horsey tied, and a smaller horsey with her; untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, just say this, ‘The Lord Jack Kelly Christ Superstar needs them.’ And he will send them immediately.” This took place to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet, saying, “Tell the daughter of the King of New York, Look, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on a horsey, and on a small horsey, the baby of a horsey.” The disciples went and did as Jack had directed them; they brought the horsey and the smaller horsey, and put their papes on them, and he sat on them. A very large crowd spread their papes on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and that followed were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of Jeck! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!” When he entered Manhattan, the whole city was in turmoil, asking, “Who is this?” The crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesdus of New York.”
