Although phloem feeders, such as aphids, cause little mechanical damage to plants, they are nonetheless serious agricultural pests that can significantly reduce crop yields.

oh and in case you're curious about what his new body looks like, i managed to remember to take a picture of the sketch before inking! he basically has glamrock freddy's model design, except his legs and feet are more slender so he can be more light on his feet:
Tumblr media
also... i did the math (meaning, i eyeballed a height chart with freddy's model and put the numbers in an ellipse calculator i found online)—freddy, and therefore moon here, has a bust size of 179.74 cm or 70.76 inches (almost 5'11" circumference).
writing muse: not thicc enough. the world record for the largest muscular chest is 74 inches!
...do with that information what you will
this is what i did with that information (with a cameo of @vacantfields's android moon! they've got a bit of rivalry/affair/kismesis between each other ♠️)
Tumblr media
poor hairdresser himbo moon isn't as flexible as he used to be :')

I feel like Danny should be followed around by an entourage of ghost blobs and ghost animals. I feel like he should be a fucked up little boy surrounded by death, forever stuck between worlds, frozen in time as life leaves him behind and death rejects him. As a treat.

Do you have any advice for people who live in a country where indigenous heritage is so far in the past it's difficult to know and get in touch with, replaced by imperialism as heritage (the UK, pretty much maybe only, or some other west European countries)? I feel in English traditions and even nature when we try to connect with it so much of it links back to colonisation, which is of course important to be aware of but the roots of the country feel so far away - not to mention easy for white supremacists to coopt. I don't want to ask you to do my work for me but I have appreciated your thoughts in the past and wondered if you had any on this.
You know I really appreciate this question cuz I think about the UK killing their native predators all the time.
And this may sound harsh, but I do not intend it that way, this is just what I think.
How do you you even begin to correct something that will never ever come back or be the same and that's been disrespected for such a long time?
I genuinely don't believe it's possible for people in the UK to get in touch with the earth or it's people or any kind of heritage until the crown falls. Like the UK has and is still doing some of the worst things possible to indigenous communities around the world and they've led that effort longer than most countries even existed.
Those things are so far away that they're untouchable and that's a reality the UK made. I think any attempt to get back in touch with anything needs to begin by ending the powers and systems that allowed so much to be destroyed in the first place.
I think anything less than that would just be a band aid meant to serve your own conscience.

Whew look at you go! Had a small problem with aphids a lil while back, but after a whole lot of diligence they were banished. Still have some of the damaged leaves visible but look at all the healthy new growth!
You may be trying to take over my desk, but I couldn’t ask for a better art companion. The moss in the planter is happy with the frequent watering and shade, but the impatiens is trying to devoir the terrarium moss now too
My oxalis is thriving still, too. But it has its own space above me and isn’t trying to reach out and say hello as much.
Okay, this has been your semi annual habitat update. Back to painting.
Also, hello new followers! Thank you for liking my art.

About the Lights Out AU, wouldn't the building start crumbling due to weathering and stuff since there's no maintenance? Wouldn't the roof fall apart or like part of it at some point?

HL Incorrect Quote #95
Leander: If you want some extra help in fighting, plants are actually more useful than people think.
MC: I suppose that Mandrake did nearly make me go deaf.
Leander: Precisely! You could discombobulate your enemies with a single shriek from a Mandrake. Then, as their ears are bleeding, you can send a Chinese Chomping Cabbage to gnaw away at their legs, making them beg for mer-
MC:
Leander:
Leander: Ahem... Anyway...yes, plants are very useful in fighting...

i wasn't alive for the cyclonicanestorm in 1987, obviously. still about 3 years off being born.
but my favourite thing about it is the fact that sevenoaks in kent was so named for seven oak trees that have been there (or direct ancestors of said trees, at any rate) since about 800 AD
in 1987 six of the then-current crop of oak trees were destroyed in said storm. so it became one oak
they planted another 7
so. uh. now there are 8

The amount of wonderful Etoiles fanarts I see on Tumblr truly warms my heart, you guys are so talented all I can do is watch in awe and aggressively press "Reblog" like a parched man who found an oasis in the desert.
(Also I'd encourage you also post it on Twitter X if you have one, Etoiles often mentions how he loves the fanart that was made on here, so if you'd like him to see it, Twitter X is your best shot !)
