What pokemon are really popular in the fashion industry?

(Asking for friend because she's a fashion lover).

Lol, I have a fashion lover friend too. A lot of the stuff I learned from her, actually.

The fashion industry is greatly tied to the performance industry, so a lot of the pokemon here will reflect that. Pokemon like Gothitelle, Tsareena, Froslass, Ribombee, and Florges are often symbols of the industry.

Other pokemon are Lopunny, Wooloo, Mincinno, Thievul, Mareep, Leavanny, Whimsicott, and Spidops are all popular when it comes to making clothes. The first 3 (and Whimsicott'a) fur and wool are good materials, and it grows back quickly (though I have mixed opinions on Minccino because they pride themselves on their fur and it can be embarrassing for then when they're shave down but whatever). Leavanny and Spidops have silk that is used for sewing.

There are a lot of pokemon popular in the pokenon performance industry. But, the most common ones that I've seen are Meowstic, Altaria, Braixen, Togekiss, Lopunny, Meowscarada, Brionne, Primarina, Kirlia, Sylveon, Masquerain, are all popular.

Pokémon is kinda Solarpunk, right?

Something I feel is nought talked about enough is, how kinda Solarpunk Pokémon is in terms of worldbuilding.

Sure, you might say: "But the animal fighting!!!" Which on surface is of course true. But if you dig deeper it is a little more complicated than that, given that said animals have a) above animal intelligence and are at least somewhat able to consent to the entire thing and b) do have natural instincts to fight. (But let me please not start with the fact that apparently they do instinctively understand human language and are in fact aware of what human word correlates to what ability they posess...)

In general the Pokémon games and series show in general a world where humans and nature kinda have managed to co-exist. This was not as heavily emphacized in the first two generations, but became more pronounced as the franchise went on.

For the most part, instead of burning fossil fuels and what not, the society works around energy they get by cooperating with the Pokémon, with a heavy helping of other renewable energy sources. (Especially wind energy. We see a TON of wind energy in both anime and games.)

Outside of that, it seems that healthcare is completely free for everyone and their Pokémon. Just as it appears that food is anywhere from cheap to free, depending on where you are. And of course the society seems to have enough stability, that it totally is fine with lots of folks just traveling the lands.

Sure, cynacally speaking one could argue, that the entire Pokémon league might make tons of money both through entrance fees and merchandising, which might be, what pays for all the healthcare and amenities for the trainers... But... You could also look at it in a more pure way and just see... that maybe they just have figured it out.

And yeah... I kinda find that nice.

To imagine a world, where all of that is possible.

As someone who's constantly in nature, do you believe in the idea that there are nature spirits? Do you think they're the same or separate from mythical pokémon?

Honestly, yes!

When you're outside, among all of the pokemon and nature, you can feel that there's just such a unique presence to the world out there.

The supernatural is absolutely a thing, but it's not as crazy as people make it out to be.

I think Mythical Pokemon are special, but Sprits are something we can't quite comprehend or capture, and that's ok.

Forces of nature are pretty amazing and really make the world more vibrant and amazing, but you need to be willing to stop and listen, really take it all in.

I dont think most people will be running into sprits all of the time, but the world is pretty amazing and powerful, so you should just enjoy it.

Do all Pokémon come from eggs?

Haha well if you’re asking if normal reproductive activity- y’know, sex!- will always result in eggs, then yes! I’m no genetics expert, but it’s something to do with the way Pokemon will breed even with very different species if they share an egg group; it’s a lot easier when you’re dealing with potential conflicts to encase your embryo in a shell and let it do most of its developing somewhere the mother’s systems can’t constantly interfere with it!

That said, although all (barring a few notable exceptions!) Pokemon can produce eggs, not all Pokemon come from eggs, if you get me! Some Ghost types are confirmed to occasionally develop from humans who have passed away, and some Grass Pokemon can bud off babies if they care to! Tales of Pokemon who develop from certain items or natural features being somehow animated are less well verified though!

Can legendaries be caught?

Ohhh man that’s a bag of worms you’ve opened! There’s been a lot of talk about various kids catching various forces of nature, and let me tell you even for someone as nosy as me it’s really hard to tell if they’re caught or they’re ‘caught’ or they’re just kind of hanging out, if that makes any sense at all!

I’ve never been lucky enough to meet any Legendaries to ask them about it either! Or any of the kids involved. So I just watch the news and poke around on the internet about it sometimes! Annoys me I can’t give you a proper answer to this one!

((OOC: Legendaries can be caught, but let’s be real if they let you catch them they’ve already decided to hang out with you and the Pokeball is just for convenience. And isn’t going to hold them if they want out, either.

The kids Gingko’s talking about are my various game PCs, but I haven’t entirely decided who is and isn’t canon to this particular ‘verse yet. Asking about them is fair game, though Gingko probably won’t know very much!)

Can shiny Pokémon pass down the trait to offspring?

The answer to this one pisses off annoys the shiny mill breeders a lot, because it’s ‘sometimes, but not always, and not often’! It depends on what kind of genetic mutation is causing the shiny trait, and how it’s expressed! And often even if it does pass down it’ll pass down ‘wrong’ in some way- patchy or too pale or too dark! Can even depend on the sire used! There’s a market for weird shinies, of course, but it’s not like you can produce them consistently, and for people who breed Pokemon purely for the monetary value that’s a pain in the ass behind!

((OOC: Pokemon can express genetic mutations like albinism, leucism etc that don’t match up to their canon shinies too, but they’re even rarer than normal shinies))

Amazing berry smoothie recipie:

Wacan Berry as a base, add some nanab and pecha, milk, and if you want it extra sweet add some honey.

You should make most of the berries in your smoothie wacans, I’d recommend mostly nanab for the rest and only a hint of pecha. I don’t usually add honey unless I’m really craving super sweet stuff.
