Ch5 But Jamil Causes the OB

Chapter 5 was fun, but it didn’t quite feel right to me.  It didn’t follow the pattern of the previous OB being the one to cause the next one.  Jamil got to be one of the three main members over Kalim, but he faded into the shadows when it came to Vil’s overblot.  I wrote an outline of how the chapter could have changed to better fit the pattern (and spotlight jamil, one of my favorite characters better).

It’s a smaller addition I might expand on later, but I think it’d be interesting if Jamil became “Snow White” while Neige was a red herring.

What if chapter 5 continued the pattern of the previous OB causing the next one? What if Vil overblotted because the viewers loved Jamil the most. Not Epel who Vil carefully trained to take down Neige, and certainly not himself. But Jamil who had been forced to be “average” Until now of course. Jamil finally had a chance to shine and ran with it. Maybe the NRC a group DOES win the VDC (or at least looks like they will). Vil finally gets what he wants, but the victory feels empty because no one is looking at him. All eyes are on Jamil. Vil worked so hard but feels positively ugly and hopeless in that moment because even though the team technically won, Vil still feels like he lost. He doesn’t feel like he beat Neige himself and he also feels like he lost to his own team mate.

A small voice in the back of Vil’s head whispers how this is proof that he will never be the hero. That he will never be “the most beautiful”. He’s destined to lose to someone else. To be second place at most and never first.

The voice gets louder and Vil feels ugly. So ugly that instead of celebrating with his team, he turns on Jamil. He does everything he can to verbally tear down Jamil. Vil tells Jamil that he should’ve just stayed in Kalim’s shadow where he belonged.  “What do you even hope to accomplish here? It’s not like winning the VDC will change anything. You’ll always be stuck in your master’s shadow where you belong.” It’s ugly. The music stops and everyone is quiet as it sinks in what Vil just said. Jamil doesn’t appear to be fazed, at least outwardly.

There’s a pause and Vil feels ugly. Everyone is looking at him but not in the way he wanted. Not for the reason he wanted. Jamil smiles. “Maybe the reason you could never win against Neige, and never will, is because everyone can see just how ugly you are on the inside”

Jamil’s words echo Vil’s inner voice that we’d heard before. Vil feels ugly, vulnerable, and hopeless. He snaps and overblots. Maybe Deuce still awakens his unique magic, but he works in tandem with Jamil to use his magic to the fullest. Jamil who knows how to match step 

There’s sort of a pattern where over use of their unique magic plays a part in the OB. maybe instead of leading, Jamil drops because Vil snaps after Jamil speaks. Vil uses a concentrated form of his UM on Jamil. Instead of just being unable to move, Jamil is unconscious.

Jamil becomes the “Snow White” in their story while Neige existed as a red herring

(Jamil is woken up after Vil’s OB is undone. Maybe it’s even undone by Malleus to sort of hint at his UM being sleep related. Or maybe it’s a team effort between Vil and Kalim)

My Little Epel, Part 2.

F!mc x Epel

Part one! Read this before you read part two!

“And don’t forget, that essay is due next week!” Trein shouted as children began to pack up. Epel sighed softly as he lifted up his bag. F!mc glanced over to Epel at hearing his sigh. Epel could feel F!mc staring. He looked up and smiled his soft smile at F!mc.

“My hair is all messy, so Vil is most likely going to be mad at me.” Epel explained as the two of you headed out of your classroom. “And guess who I get to blame?” Epel giggled, looking up at F!mc. F!mc sighed smoothed out Epel’s hair slightly.

“Should I be saying sorry?” F!mc joked. Epel nodded, all the while chuckling. “Right, I’m sooo sorry, My King. Might I fix your hair?” F!mc said sarcastically. Epel continued his laughter as F!mc slapped his shoulder. “You’re too much.” F!mc sighed. “But…” she continued “…If Vil does get mad at you, tell him to take it up with me, ok?”

Epel giggled and nodded. F!mc found herself blushing at Epel’s smile. It was so soft and so cute. Before F!mc could process it, Epel got up on his tiptoes and placed a kiss on F!mc’s lips. F!mc was in so much shock, she had no clue what to say. All she could do was blush and stand there in shock. Epel smiled softly, blushing a bit himself. Using no words, Epel told F!mc he loved her by pulling her into a hug. A soft and gentle hug. One that truly reflected Epel’s personality.

“I love you too, my little Epel. I love you too.” F!mc sighed out. She gently returned the hug. But with that, Epel pulled away and went to the Pommefiore dorm, and F!mc went to the Ramshackle dorm.

Secretly he will find it cute .

So, about less scary stuff

Two of my bags fell from the perch and landed on one of my shoe racks (the small one) and my cat decided to use them as a bed

Like, just fuck my shoes up girl, go ahead

Meanwhile my other cats choose my side of the bed to sleep today

And btw they have beds but they’re cats and cats like sleeping everywhere but their beds. Especially if it’s my stuff.

Epel: Am I really suited for Pommefiore?

Also Epel: rides up on a fucking horse in order to propose to the ghost bride bc he’s pretty sure that’s what princes do; is genuinely upset when they get rumbled and he can’t take the horse with him to propose

So far as I can tell from my (admittedly somewhat minimal) experience, Pommefiore is about committing to the bit and DRAMA, with an added side of fashion. Sorry Epel, you deffo belong

For platonic!Rook “Uh, Rook why did you give me Vil’s uniform?” (Context during the Ignihyde arc, the f!MC -who is in a romantic relationship with Vil- stubbornly agrees to go with Rook and Epel to save Vil, Magic or not. Rook then magics the MC into a Pommefiore uniform -but in that version her uniform resembles Vil’s right down to the crown on her head, only difference is she’s wearing opaque tights instead of pants with the uniform.)

rook shooks his head at your question, giving you his signature half lidded eyes as the corner of his lips curl up into a grin.

"oh trickster, do you really think vil will be happy to see you there? he loves you and all, but he would pretty much rather you stay in nrc then to come all the way to this dangerous place. pomofiere's dorm uniform is made of fabric that is magic resistant. vil's uniform is more special as it is more durable and the fabric has a higher magic resistant than the rest of us."

he steps forward, adjusting the crown on your head to the way vil would wear it. "besides, i think that wearing roi du poison's uniform would at least ease his worries as you have extra protection. it's what he would have wanted for you."

Just thinking of how Luc being sorted in Rosentée was kinda the same as Epel discorvering he's gonna be in Pommefiore

Like yeah she knows that this dorm is perfect for her but she don't want it and would unsuccesfully try to go Somewhere else

KSJSKJS I think Isabelle would let her inner Vil Schoenheit out and give Luc a good scolding about how she was sorted there for a reason and she should make the best of it-- it's all from a loving heart so dw, Isa wants her students to succeed 💙

I have to ask, which is your favourite character(can be multiple) and favourite dorm? I'm just curious because you're SO bright brained which I love

Anyways! My all time fave character is Enma Yuuken ironically. I've always found the main character to be mysterious and cool and when they finally gave them a face and actual personality?? I was in love! Yuu always had such potential for a badass character and they made them into one! He's so funny and cute!

That being said it does kinda suck that they change Yuu in the manga in each season since we kinda only get a taste for their personality. I do love Yuuka/Yuuya as well, they're also faves of mine but man why can't all the yuus exist at once?? I don't wanna get attached to Yuuka the same way I did Yuuken just for her to disappear too.

Anyway besides them my NRC faves in no particular order are: Octotrio, Deuce, Riddle, Malleus, and Trey on occasion

Fave side characters are Namja and Eliza they're so funny <33 maybe Rollo will join once he's available in the global server

I don't really have a fave to write for since I more focus on making Yuu an interesting character like they are in the Mangas and not the game :/ unless it's angst, then I always go for the ones Yuu is closest too to torture

As for dorms, my favorite Dorms aesthetic wise in order are: Octavinelle, Diasomnia, and Heartslabyul

Ideal wise however, I really only like Pommefiore and Diasomnia! The philosophies of their dorms are cool.
