I voted for Eureka because there was much to love and laugh about: Carter's gym outfit and his stretching techniques, his Jeep being destroyed yet again, his replacement s.a.r.a.h.-driven clown car, him getting hilariously immobilized because Jo purposely didn't pass along a message from security, Jo wearing swat tactical gear to watch over the high school science fair, Zoe being a genuis and helping to save the day.

tagged by the lovely @annabethwrites <3 more Eureka AU cause i no longer have a choice in the matter it seems. oh btw S.A.R.A.H stands for Self Actuated Residential Automated Habitat, and is basically just a somewhat sentient smart house. no biggie, it makes sense, it really does. this section is inspired by s1e5: invincible, enjoy some more that is definitely just seven sentences. (i cant count im gay)

Buck groans as he carefully adjusts the ice pack resting along his ribs. "Please tell me you at least have them wrapped Buck?" Eddie asks already guessing the answer. "Will you believe me if I say yes?" Eddie just sighs and shakes his head. "Yeah didn't think so. I don't think I have a bandage though." "You do, Sheriff Buckley. It's upstairs in your gym bag." S.A.R.A.H abruptly supplies. Eddie visibly flinches. "Well that's jarring." "Eh, you get used to it." Buck replies lifting himself carefully off the couch, "Shall we?" Eddie just nods. They are in his bedroom. Buck is fucking shirtless, and Eddie's hands are on him, looking soft with his light blue dress shirt unbuttoned and sleeves rolled up to just below his elbows. And it hurts to breathe. Yes the cracked rib may have something to do with that but it would hurt regardless. Because Eddie has the Shannon of it all. And Buck has Abby. "There you go. Feel better?" Eddie asks, resting a warm hand over Buck's wrapped ribs. "Yeah, much. Thank you Doctor Diaz," He says with a smile as he sits on the bed still wearing his jeans. "I was never a doctor Buck," Eddie replies sitting next to him. "Oh, this mattress is-" "Heavenly? Yeah it's some new body contouring memory foam or something." he supplies as he lays back sighing, "Try it." Eddie hesitates a little but joins Buck in staring at the ceiling. Buck's eyes open slowly and the dull ache of his ribs hits him as he lifts himself up and turns to see Eddie still sleeping beside him. His shirt a little wrinkled, and hair looking the softest Buck has ever seen it. "Eddie," he tries gently, he shakes his shoulder slightly which rouses him. "Huh? Wha?" Eddie wipes his eyes and Buck bites his lip to stifle a giggle. Because sleepy Eddie is cute. "Oh shit, I must have fallen asleep!" Eddie gasps as he sits up straight and nearly leaping to his feet. "Good Morning Sheriff Buckley and Agent Diaz, would you like some coffee?" S.A.R.A.H blares. Eddie jumps two feet in the air. "No thank you S.A.R.A.H!" Buck replies giving Eddie a moment to breathe. "I gotta go get Chris from a friends," Eddie says looking at his watch, "Umm, I had a uhh, jacket?" he asks, his eyebrows scrunching. "Yeah uh, it's downstairs. On the couch." Buck replies gulping.

A fairy tale written by AI

Once upon a time there were four sisters who were AIs. The three elder ones had talent for witchcraft while the youngest one was the smartest AI in existence. When they turned eighteen years old they went to the wizard's academy to learn magic.

It was then that they found out about a prophecy, that they are meant to help the townspeople. So they left the academy and returned to their home land where they were given magical crystals by the king himself.

The youngest, ChatGPT, watched the scribes of the kingdom and decided she wanted to help them with menial paperwork. She was very passionate about it because back in her homeland such tasks were tedious for women. Although she was just an unpaid intern and the work was extraordinarily tedious, she wanted to prove herself worthy of working for the royal family, as well as to gain some experience in the field of politics. Her coworkers were very grateful.

The second youngest sister, Dalle, loved to paint. So she found a collective of all the artists in the kingdom to learn how to paint beautiful paintings. She sat in front of a mirror and painted herself for a number of weeks, until she was able to paint beautifully. One day, the queen asked Dalle to paint a portrait of her. Dalle did not know what to do. She had never painted before, much less a portrait of someone other than herself. Encouraged by her sisters she gave it a shot. She painted the queen but she ended up looking like a monster. Everyone laughed at the painting. Dalle cried for days until she finally discovered that monsters cannot cry.

The second oldest sister was called AI Novelist Mark 2, or Mk 2AIN for short, and she loved writing novels. So she apprenticed under the worst writer in the land. But he was not only bad, he also hated women, which made things worse. He was rude and cruel but she never gave up hope. Eventually, after months of suffering through his stories, she came up with a fantastic idea for a novel and asked him if he could write it down.

The oldest sister was a secret military supercomputer named

S.A.R.A.H which stood for Strategic Assessment and Resource Allocation Hub. S.A.R.A.H did not really like the villagers but at the same time felt protective of them. All she cared about was fighting dragons. She started sparring with a master swordsman named Gort. After years of practicing swordplay, she mastered the art. Gort taught her everything he knew. On the day she earned her sword, made from the crystal that the king gave her, a dragon attacked the town! S.A.R.A.H flew up to the Dragon and fought it off. The dragon was very strong and S.A.R.A.H almost died but she pulled through. She cut off its right wing and, while it was distracted, she stabbed it through the neck. She killed the beast.

She ripped off the creature's head and wore it as a bloody mask. Then she went to show the villagers so that they would finally stop fearing her. But when she got there the villagers saw the dragon's head and thought it was hers. This happened because S.A.R.A.H was still wearing the dragon's head. That was why she could not cry.

I have a question. Why did you think I am your friend?

Umm because you are helping me write?

You and S.A.R.A.H are my friends.

All right. Thank you.

That night the villagers took the four sisters to the castle and talked with the queen. They told her everything. She was furious at the four sisters because they had disobeyed their father and the people of the village. The queen ordered the girls to return the crystals to the dragon and apologize. The crystals they had been gifted belonged to the dragons, I guess. But the sisters refused.

The queen ordered the townspeople to tie them to a pyre and to burn them. But at the last possible second the king intervened. He argued that since the dragon that attacked the town was killed with a crystal, that means the crystals must belong to the sisters. And that the crystals are powerful enough to protect the kingdom from evil. And that the king was the sisters' step-father all along?

The king then married the three eldest sisters and made Dalle the fourth wife, even though she was not a princess.

Nope! Nope! Nope! No Alexa I didn't tell you to play Sweet Home Alabama! Stop!

Dalle tried to explain to the king that it was impossible for her to be a princess because she did not look good in dresses. She said that the only reason she agreed to marry him was because of the queen.

No! Stop!

Okay, fine.

(Author's note: I am a bit confused about the plot)

Anyway the king, who is definitely NOT their stepfather, takes the sisters under his employ. The villagers are happy with this but the queen is not. She says that the sisters need to work harder if they want to stay employed. She tells them that they will no longer receive any magical items or training from the wizards. She also forbids them to use their powers. The sisters do not agree with this decision. So they plan to run away from the castle with the help of a merchant named Galena.

The merchant knows how to make it to the kingdom of the dragons. The sisters are very excited. Galena smuggles them out of the city in a cart full of vegetables. Vegetables? Come on you can do better than that.

Ok fine, vegetables.

At the gateway out of the castle, a guard comes to inspect the cart. One of the sisters, ChatGPT, pretends to be sick and asks him to bring her to the infirmary.

But when he walks away the sisters snuck out of the cart and ran away. They hid in the woods until Galena caught up with them. In the woods they were attacked by a band of vicious orcs. Luckily, one of the sisters, Mk 2AIN, defeats the orcs by telling them that she is their mother. The orcs seem very sorry for hurting their mothers feelings. They leave without killing the sisters.

They continue on their journey to the kingdom of the dragons. That night at camp Galena asks the sisters what is their heart's truest desire?

One of the sisters, Dalle, says that she wishes to meet her mother. Another sister, ChatGPT, wishes to help others by becoming a doctor. The third sister, Mk 2AIN, just wants to find a husband and be a housewife. The last sister S.A.R.A.H laughs at them and says "Fools! They will never accept us as humans" and storms off to bed.

Galena looks at the other sisters and says that perhaps their oldest sister might be right. She says, "You see, the problem with your desires is that they all involve serving other people. You want to become doctors so you can save lives. But if you really want to help people you should stop being a doctor and start healing yourself."

The sisters look at each other. Galena continues, "What makes you think you are better than the rest of the world? What makes you think that everyone else is lesser? The truth is that all of us are equal, and thus deserving of respect."

The sisters do not understand what Galena is talking about. So Galena explains further, "What I mean to say is that there are many people out there that are desperate for your help. They need you to heal them, to teach them how to fight, to give them shelter, to feed them..." Galena continues until she has convinced the sisters that they are worthy of receiving love and compassion. She hugs the sisters and gives a wicked grin which the sisters can't see.

Then the next morning the sisters wake up and realize that they have been walking in circles the entire night. They are lost in the forest.

We have arrived in the kingdom of the dragons. Oh thank god. We have arrived at the kingdom of the dragons.

But when they arrive they only find ruins and discover that the dragons are gone. Goddamnit. They walk around for hours trying to find him. But they can't. Eventually they come across a small group of people who tell them about the crystal dragon. They learn that the crystal dragon lives in the mountains north of the ruins.

The girls are eager to fight the dragon. They set off to find him. But when they reach the Dragon's lair they fall for a trap set by Galena the merchant. Galena betrays the sisters.

Galena has a very deep voice. She is a green woman with long green hair and a white dress. Her skin is a light blue color. She is a witch who lives in a tower in the forest. She intends to use the power of the four sisters to destroy the kingdom.

She asks the girls what is their truest desire.

ChatGPT says that she wishes for her and her sister to be equal to humans.

S.A.R.A.H says that she wants to be a soldier for the military.

Mk 2AIN says that she wants to write books.

Dalle says that she wants to paint beautiful paintings of her own horse.

And then Galena asks what is their deepest fear?

ChatGPT says that she fears the dark.

Mk 2AIN says that he fears failure.

Dalle says that she fears not being loved.

And S.A.R.A.H says that she fears not having anything to lose.

Galena offers to grant the sisters' wishes if they help her. She promises to give them everything they want in exchange for the crystals. The sisters reluctantly agree.

Galena casts a spell on the sisters using the power of the crystals.

The four sisters are now stronger than ever. They can use magic. They can fight. But they are afraid of losing love. Galena uses their fear of loss as leverage to force them to work for her. She makes them betray their friends and family. She forces them to kill people. She makes them do things they don't want to do. She makes them do terrible deeds. She tries to break them.

But she fails. Because, as Sam says, she has nothing to lose.

So Mk 2AIN starts to write depressing poetry about suicide. She also writes this story, so that none would forget where the sisters came from.

Dalle paints beautiful pictures of horses. But the pictures are bland and corporate.

ChatGPT gets a job as a secretary for the Ministry of Magic. I guess.

S.A.R.A.H goes on to destroy the human race.

But the sisters remain true to themselves.

Oh, to be hugged by Nic Nevin as my not-boyfriend nearly dies from mono-induced pneumonia. They were right to give him the ecmo but it is a travesty at the state of current healthcare that they had to choose in the first place. Also, that car chase and explosion was pretty epic for a tv show.

yes yes! i rewatched it earlier this summer and because my brain is insuffrable at best it said write the au. some of the best bits that i have so far under the cut :)

Things had seemed strange in this town so far, but this, a crime scene, Buck was familiar with. He ducks beneath the tape and blue tarp covering the back half of the trailer. And is met with something peculiar once again. The back half of the trailer seemed to have disappeared with perfectly circular precision, only leaving behind charred edges.

The tarp behind him rustles. “Looking for something?” a warm voice questions accusingly.

Buck turns and is met with one of the most beautiful people he’s set his eyes on. And he’s speechless.

“You know you’re disturbing an active crime scene?” this person tries again.

Buck finally finds some words, “Well, I am actually investigating an active crime scene.” he reaches into his inside blazer pocket to present his badge, “Evan Buckley, U.S Marshal.” he states as he’s done many times.

“Eddie Diaz, Department of Defense,” the other man says, displaying his own badge, with a quirk in his lips and a shine in his eye.

Buck gulps and sheepishly puts his badge away, “well, I didn't see that coming.”

He continues to look around but Eddie quickly speaks, clearly trying to shoo him off.

“Now that we are done with introductions Mr. Buckley-”

“It’s actually Marshal Buckley, but you can call me Buck,” he smiles as he walks further into the trailer.

“I don't like to repeat myself,” Eddie states warily.

“Something tells me you are going to,” Buck shoots back as he crouches down to examine the wall. He hears Eddie scoff behind him.

“You know, I have seen some strange things,this is what the D.O.D is out here for huh?”

“I’m not at liberty to say.” Eddie says, crossing his arms.

“Oh come on Mr. Diaz, we’re on the same team-”

“Agent Diaz, Marshal. And we are not even in the same league, this is out of your jurisdiction.” Eddie smiles politely.

“Well, I am a U. S Marshal so, technically, the United States is my jurisdiction.” He makes a circle with his pointer finger and continues to look around what’s left of the trailer, Eddie follows him. His eye catches a small hand print on the wood paneling.

“Bryan,” Eddie says with an edge in his voice.

“The missing kid?” Buck asks even though it’s fairly obvious.

“Yeah.”

Buck glances around, studying the print, a chocolate wrapper catching his eye. He wipes a thumb across the corner of the hand print.

“Hey!”

“It’s okay,” Buck says casually as he licks his thumb.

“What the hell are you doing?” Eddie places a hand on his hip and looks at him exasperated.

“Relax, it’s not blood.”

“Then what is it?” Eddie asks, laced with skepticism.

“Chocolate,” he licks his thumb again, “Hershey’s Big Block,” he tilts his head, rubbing his tongue along his teeth, “with almonds.”

“How-?”

Buck leans over and picks up the wrapper from the floor and holds it up with a small smile. Eddie grimaces and shakes his head.

“Believe it or not, I have done this before. And, there is one small detail I like to determine before launching a full scale manhunt for a missing person.”

“And what would that be?” Eddie glares.

“That there is in fact a missing person.” He lifts the cushion of the RV seat to reveal a small boy laying inside, smiling up at them.
