Hello to you, too! This hasn't been mentioned yet so rest assured. To start off, ‘creepy’ can go so many ways ; s/o's behavior could either mirror the yanderes', or they could be just mentally unstable (again, like the yandere themself or perhaps... as a result of the yandere's overwhelming influence? hoho). The possibilities are limitless here, so, for the sake of the ask let's just go with the two-faced factor i. e. take s/o as this angel like person that the yanderes think they are but when they make the inevitable abducting, turns out they're.. not so different after all.

Arlecchino had already expected some semblance of defiance but that wasn't her worry since she's confident in her ability to get you wrapped around her finger. If the sudden reveal proves that she'd underestimated the extent of your stubbornness then, she'll be pretty mad as time goes on. Do wonder who's more sane in the instance she snaps. However, if you're complacent and obey her every command, she has no issues and might even encourage your behavior... to her advantage, that is.

──⚝ pantalone

The Regrator most likely noticed cracks in your ‘benevolent’ composure and thus, decided to own you. Because otherwise, it'd really just be keeping a carbon copy of himself. I can actually see him being a little disturbed (compared to others) but, he's quick to recover. But whether or not he will be perturbed by your behavior at all depends on how deep his affections run. If he's deluded himself in your kindness, then he'll likely excuse you, every time. You could perhaps use this state of the Regrator to have a little taste of freedom as well.

as much as i love wanderer, there's nothing quite like scaramouche era. idk how to describe it... i almost feel bad making wanderer yandere. it's like kicking someone when they're down. there are definitely a lot of cool stories you can do with it, especially if it takes place after he ctrl-alt-deleted himself from irminsul. all the Yearning, regret, vacillation between redemption and succumbing to depravity again... lots of potential.

but like. in my mind, if wanderer starts acting a fool for someone new, i struggle to imagine how nahida wouldn't be doing this:

scaramouche is just the perfect storm (heh) for yandere. he's a volatile, emotional mess, Smarmy, possessing way too much power, and unchecked. he's not going :P. there's no :P to be had. bullying someone like that is way easier.

you haven't heard from scaramouche for ages--probably weeks? probably months? honestly, you're trying to forget, you swear, but you really can't. it takes everything in you to not check who it is when the cafe door opens, every single time. 

maybe this time... maybe this time it'll be him, you tell yourself when the bell jingles above the door.

 you used to go to the cafe to work, because at home, it was too loud, crowded with your family. you have your own place now; there's no reason why you stay at the cafe besides the fact that you met him there the very first time.

he had rushed in from the rain, dripping wet, and painfully short, and your heart had jumped. you'd seen him around town, buying various things (he'd taken a clear hankering to unagi chazuke) and walking. you'd watched him as he'd plodded to the cash register, ordering a coffee (black). you hadn't been able to take your eyes off of him as he'd sat down beside you. 

you had scooted your stuff away, which had prompted him to gruffly ask, "is this seat taken?"

"no," you'd replied, closing your laptop and folding your arms over it. "scaramouche, right?"

that had kindled a friendship--and dare you say, even more?--but then one night, he'd left. not a word, not a letter, not anything. just up and left. it had torn a hole in your heart that you tried to fill with too-sweet coffee and running mile after mile, covering stretches of land in the hopes that you'd glimpse his face.

you loathed how you thought about him, how you dreamt up scenarios where he'd walk into the cafe, apologizing for his absence (usually, something had happened to the tsaritsa and he'd had to leave) and sitting down beside you. sometimes, when you hated yourself, you'd imagine him walking in with someone else on his arm.

you lose yourself in your daydream, sipping slowly at your intensely sweet coffee of the day, when someone pulls up a chair across from you. you ignore them and turn up your music, hoping they'll get the hint. can't they tell?? you're lost in your daydream.

three songs play before the other person apparently decides they've had enough and clears their throat. you glance up and a flush washes over your body, background sounds disappearing. your hands tremble a little bit (fucking hell, you want to laugh at yourself) and you can feel a smile tugging at the corners of your lips. you stifle a little laugh. 

you set your tea down, trying to calm your racing heart down, to no avail. he can probably tell how much you'd missed him right on your face. probably it's written right across your forehead: I MISSED YOU SO MUCH I THOUGHT UP AT LEAST 100 SCENARIOS ABOUT YOU COMING BACK.

this is so stupid, you tell yourself, slowly taking off your headphones. "no way," you mutter, "no way you're back."

he spreads his arms out wide, leaning back in his chair, just as he always did. "what can i say? i missed you."

you scoff, but  this time, you can't stop the smile spreading across your face. "i'm mad, just so you know," you tell him, but pull your chair closer to his. "and i have work to do."

"oh," he says. is it just you, or is he a little bit disappointed? huh. maybe he did miss you after all.

"can i call you tonight?" you ask, packing your things up. "i mean--i will. i will call you tonight."

"yes," you hear him call out as you shut the cafe door behind you.

Second Chances

Scaramouche had believed he was immune to betrayal at this point. Three times he’d been backstabbed, he wasn’t going to let there be a fourth opportunity. Until that is, he met you.

Something about you was different in a way he couldn’t quite describe. You felt… ‘real’. You made him feel real.

Despite his insistence to not let himself be hurt again, some way, somehow, you managed to slip past the walls he’d built up, through all the safeguards and fronts he’d constructed. For far too long he’d chosen to ignore this fact, to pretend as though you were of no significance to him, even when the thought of something harming you made his face curl up into a snarl and his hands turn to fists in anger.

The Balladeer’s arms shook ever so slightly as he pulled your weakened form into him.

“H-Hey! Don’t you dare die on me [Name]!”

The words were hollow, and he knew it all too well. Scaramouche was no stranger to death, he’d witnessed it countless times. But this time it wasn’t just anyone at the crossroads to death’s door, it was you. He knew it, even as he lied to himself that you’d be fine, he knew he was lying to you both. He knew enough about death to know that there was nothing he could do now, not anymore. He knew, yet he still kept telling you to ‘hang on’, that ‘you couldn’t just leave him too’, that ‘you weren’t allowed to go yet’, even as the warmth of your wounded form was replaced by the chill of the dead, he continued.

Some say that the Balladeer was broken in some kind of way.

After losing you, those words took on a different meaning.

Loosing you had truly broken him.

The sacrifices he’d had to make just to learn how to reach you had been blood-soaked and brutal. Despite that he’d done it all without hesitation, even his usual hostility absent in his actions. Gone were the snappy remarks, the annoyed huffs, and the frustrated insults. Scaramouche was indifferent throughout his search, completely unphased by everything that happened.

Violet eyes scanned over yellowed pages as he read a tattered book. It was penned in a language he’d been unfamiliar with, but for the sake of seeing you again, he’d kept trying to learn it again and again. The ink on the page had long since become faded, enough that his eyes were nearly aching from the strain, but he refused to wait. He’d waited long enough, he wasn’t going to wait a moment longer.

The dim room was lit by flashes of light as a crack seemed to form in the air itself. It grew longer, before the deep cracks gave way to a void. It was somehow as black as night, yet the more he looked at it, the more bright it became, flashes of color illuminating the dim room. Scaramouche managed to tear his attention away from the rift, suppressing a shudder. Looking at it felt wrong, it was as though it was entirely right, but also somehow wrong in every way.

A thump comes from the rift, and he quickly turns back around. There’s a figure lying on the floor under the rift, which seems to shrink away into nothingness in front of his eyes. The person’s clothing is odd, but they begin to stir before he can observe more.

“Ahhh, fuuuuck. Okay that is the last time I mix caffeine and sugar with an hour of sleep!”

They sit up with a groan, annoyance clear on their face, though upon examining the surroundings, it quickly becomes confusion.

“What the hell? The fuck am I?”

They finally see the other occupant in the room, and waste no time in making a snide remark.

“Oh lovely, a weeb with a frisbee hat. Great, fantastic, wonderful, why the hell not at this point?!”

The Balladeer meanwhile, was frozen in shock. That voice was yours, and that was your face, no question about that, but you were acting… odd.

“[Name]?”

Your familiar [Color] eyes narrowed slightly with suspicion. “…Ayo how the hell do you know that?! You a stalker? Where the fuck am I? And who the fuck are you?!”

His world froze for a moment. Who was he? Surely you were joking right? This had to be a trick, right? You knew his name, both his codename and his real one, so why did your eyes look so confused? There wasn’t a single hint of familiarity in them, none at all. The harbinger tries to speak, but his voice fails him. It takes him a few more attempts to find his voice.

“You’re back… Don’t leave me like that again [Name]!”

“Back? Leave? Huh? The fuck? Look do you usually have a hobby of picking up random incapacitated people or just me?! Actually wait don’t answer that, I’m still going to think your creepy regardless of your answer.”

The man was stunned silent. The person in front of him looked like you, they sounded like you, but they clearly weren’t you. Not the you he knew at least.

But that was fine. He would have plenty of time to get to know this ‘new you’. After all, it’s not like he could risk losing you again, so he’ll make sure you stay close to him just in case.

You weren’t getting the chance to desert him a second time, he’d make sure of that.

have you ever contemplated wanderyne angst? bc idk about anyone else, i fricking love the chaos that could ensue with them but also... the angst potential? i crave katheryne angst like i crave oxygen. scara's been through enough shit now let's put katheryne through it too. what do you think could happen??

I have contemplated Wanderyne angst a bit! The angst potential is very good, especially considering the wet paper bag of emotions that is Scaramouche and Katheryne being somewhat new to the whole emotions deal.

A few ideas that have bounced around in my head:

One of them gets injured! Classic. Horrible injuries are so good for angst (especially if they haven't confessed yet).

This one is more specific, but I think that Katheryne sees a lot of death and missing adventurers over the time she's worked as the main face of the Guild. When she's still sorting out her feelings after gaining sapience, I think this would hit her really hard. Scara is about as useful as a walnut during this time because I still don't believe he's sorted out his own issues surrounding death and his own emotions.

Another excellent one: Katheryne gets sent in for maintenance (either due to a different technical issue or her makers found out about her new sapience) and essentially gets a factory reset. Not remembering Scara or the times they had together, or any of her other friends...she's a blank slate once more.

And of course, because I am soft and find the comfort part of hurt/comfort the best, here is a little fluff to cleanse the angst palate

Steve rushing over to Tony after some harrowing aerial maneuver that seemed like it was certain death for Tony, grabbing and kissing him the moment he lands and flips up his faceplate, finally letting go of his reservations and self doubt about his feelings after being so scared of losing Tony…

Only for Tony to immediately throw up right after because he kinda scrambled his whole inner ear with that stunt and would be thrilled! to kiss Steve, no really! It’s just he isn’t even aware that it even happened, he only landed on his feet because the JARVIS piloted back to the ground.

Later in the medbay Tony has to 1. find out it happened at all because he was sooo out of it and and he finds out pretty quick because 2. oops the media caught the whole thing and is now running with he’s disgusted by Steve’s overture (some even going the whole “Iron Man: Homophobe???” angle) and 3. try and coax Steve into trying the whole kissing thing again because Steve is kinda traumatized by the whole “kissing someone that then barfs” and is like, you don’t have to if you really don’t want to Tony don’t make yourself sick again 🥺

Oh no poor Steve but also poor Tony! Can picture it from Tony's POV where he's been crushing on Steve for ages, and then this big flight moment happens and he's completely out of it, just trying his best not to pass out until he lands and (after vomiting) actually passing out.... only to find out hours or even days later that he'd missed Steve frantically rushing to his side to check on him and planting a big one on his mouth. He missed it! He will never get it back! How does he bring the topic back up with Steve!

Even when Tony does try to bring the topic up with Steve, he then has to deal with Steve being bafflingly vague and sneaky, constantly changing the topic or being so focused on Tony's well-being that Tony can't get another word in edgewise, because Steve's decided that he's gotten Tony's answer already... That was his one chance to make it count and he grossed Tony out so much that he threw up -- the guilt, it is too much! Obviously the next course of action is to not force his presence on Tony or make him uncomfortable in any way😞

Dan Heng/IL Dan Heng

I've already answered about Dan Heng favorite(s) here, but! Among his friends choices, he likes this combination: fuzzy light green pants with cartoon dragon prints, loose white shirt (plain), and fuzzy dragon slippers. They're very warm and comfy! Even if he thinks he looks a bit silly, he shows his appreciation for their help by wearing them time to time whenever March 7th has their weekly sleepovers.

IL Dan Heng choice would be no different, but he tends to wear robes so his tail can come out with no restrictions. However, he bundles up in more blankets than usual to keep warm. :P

IL Dan Feng

(Un)surprisingly, Dan Feng doesn't own any stylish/unique sleepwear despite his status. Like his reincarnation, Dan Feng prefers his sleepwear to be comfortable/inconvenient.

He wears a simple robe (at least 2 layers), different colors depending on his mood but typically white.

Scaramouche/Wanderer

In his downtime, Scaramouche will definitely spoil himself by wearing the softest sleepwear he can get. He usually wears Inazuma style robes with an outer coat (in a deep purple color). As someone who believes himself to surpass both humans and gods, a future God at that, must live lavishly, no?

Wanderer, if he's in a lazy mood, just sheds his outer robe (and his accessories), plops onto the bed, and calls it a day. If given a choice, he'll just wear anything Nahida gives him.

Bonus, Kabukimono: The concept of having sleepwear (or having more than one outfit) did not come to mind until the residents of Tatarasuna noticed that Kabukimono wore the same outfit for a while now. They aggressively and lovingly gave him more than one set of clothes.

Rook/Mallory

Rook (HSR Verse) doesn't have the luxury to change clothes during long travels or on the job. He'll sleep in his work clothes most of the time. If he has any downtime, Rook will wear a tight sleeveless top and sweatpants as his pajamas. Bonus: He uses his coat as a blanket.

Mallory...sleeps in what he wears or sleeps in the nude with just a blanket covering his modesty. No one visits him in his domain so he has no fear of anyone walking into his home while he sleeps naked.

according to his voice line on the tsaritsa, he thinks love is a sin, so imo, purity would never be what he aims for. he'll gladly embrace himself in the muck and mire if it means dirtying you in the process. scara and wanderer would both have somewhat different philosophies

scaramouche sees it as an act of dominance, a way to enforce his will over yours. it’s rough, a clashing of teeth and tongue, unrefined yet immensely pleasurable for him. he’ll try to act indifferent, like this base expression of carnal desire is below him. the urgency in how he bites on your lower lip and growls when you try to pull back gives him away though. he relishes in the disarray of your hair, the bruising of your lips, how your frail mortal form heaves to refill your lungs with oxygen. he thinks you’re oh so cute and he’ll be sure to tell you, ensuring to use that coy voice of his you loathe so deeply. he kisses you like he’s trying to make a point. whether it’s to you or himself, you’ll never know for certain. what you do know is that it’d be nice if he learned to keep his tongue to himself. he tends to get a little eager and forget that you do, in fact, need to breathe. hmph. such petulance on your part. 

wanderer wants to imprint his existence so deep into yours that not even tampering with the divine tapestry of history could let you forget him. he wants to remember it as well, every last detail down to the most seemingly inane. for this reason, he’s slower, ravishing your lips with intention that draws the session out longer than his former self would’ve permitted. kissing is a vulnerable act — he recognizes this and embraces it. for if he is vulnerable, then that must mean you have to be as well. he keeps his eyes open throughout most of the act, which is rather creepy, but he can’t waste the opportunity to see you up this close. it’s intimate in a way few other acts are.

Who's your fave Genshin character talking only about design and not personality, and who's your fave in general with both aspects taken into account?

well, i have a list and reasons (i'm very indecisive)

i'd say scaramouche/wanderer and childe are tied for first in general because of their personalities, designs, and most importantly, lore. their character development is great and i really hope we get to see them interact in game one day.

as for just design, i really like a lot of the fontaine and mondstadt characters because of the french and german influences respectively, as well as the steampunk aspects of the former. singling it down is really difficult, but i think that razor and wriothesley answer that.
