#so i went to the hairdresser's in september to get a trim after over a year of having NOTHING done to my hair #it was in suuuuuuuuch a poor condition but i loved how long it had gotten so i suffered through the summer #i just wasn't ready to say goodbye to my mermaid hair 🥺 #(i should've got it done in the spring but didn't because. well. life i guess lol i wasn't feeling very well maybe) #and so when i finally went to get it done i asked the hairdresser to cut only what was necessary #fair enough i went home only to notice absolutely NOTHING had happened 🙃 #i thought i could live with it until maybe later in the winter but i was getting so frustrated with how lifeless and tangled my hair was 😭 #so i booked a new appointment at a different hairdresser (a new one has just opened near me) #and aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh my hair looks and feels SO much more healthier now!! 😭 nearly teared up at the hairdresser's feeling my new hair 😂 #but at the same time i'm a bit 🥲 because it's quite a bit shorter now 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲 #it's not short per se but aaaahhhh I'm having a minor identity crisis lol (no i'm not i'm just being dramatic 💅) #but it's definitely better this way. i love my hair and i'm never ever letting it get in such a terrible condition ever again 🤧 #also i'm not going back to that other place again because it wasn't the first time the same person had done barely anything to my hair 🤨 #i mean. i guess they just did what i had asked but... #with all the other hairdressers there's never been any problem when i told them to ''only take what's needed'' #i guess she was just too cautious to take TOO much of the length of my hair but gurl what's the point if you only take like 1 cm 😐 #with ''what's needed'' i obviously mean ''enough so i won't have to come back here next month'' :\ #anyway! i'm happy and keep sniffing my hair (and giving myself a headache in the process) because the products they used smell so nice 💖 #pointless ramblings hi yess i'm bored by theflyingfeeling

       Tuesday, September 25th 

You put your things in your locker and take what you need to your class but when you get to the door of the class someone bumps aggressively with your shoulder it seems that they are running and that is why they bumped into you, "Sorry Y/n" Sana apologizes while she is trying to get out the class "it's fine" 

you pick your things from the floor and fix your glasses to cover your bruise that looked better today.

"Are you ok?" Chan asks concerned but all the time he looks behind you, his eyes following the female who bumped into you with her eyes puffy and watery 

"Yeah I'm good" You look behind you to see if she is still there "ok," he says still not looking at you but passing you, and runs towards the girl that bumped into you crying

Damn...

Everyone looks at you and the drama that just occurred 

"What happened?" you ask Mina sitting down at your desk 

"Well... it appears that they had a one-night stand 2 nights ago and she thought that they were getting back together but he said no to her" Your eyes widen not being able to comprehend the information that you just received 

wow... they slept together, emptiness fills your heart as disappointment gets to you 

you get to your seat now feeling worse than this morning being all excited to see him again this morning, but nevermind I need to learn my position and that's just being friends with him and that's all 

                                                     9:30 am 

You close your notebook and pens thanking heavens you did understand this class but you see Chan rushing into your statistics class you share with I.N, Mina, Yuna, Lia, and Chan 

he sighs seeing that he missed the class "I.N did you take notes of the class dude?" he rushes to his seat but sees him sleeping in his table

"hey y/n did you took notes for this class?" you grab your notebook and give it to him and shove past him to get ready to your next class

annoyed, that how you feel in this exact same moment, does he not like you but leading you on? you kept thinking about it all class, is he just playing with your feelings or are you getting ahead of yourself?

You get to your locker and walk towards the cafeteria to buy a cookie to fill your empty stomach, "Hello can I have that strawberry cookie please" You take your cash out and pay the lady who you always see with a shitty attitude.

you get outside and sit below a tree that provides nice shade and a breeze "Hey my favorite girl" you hear that voice that always slurs the l when calling you

"hi, Hyujin," you say and he sits beside you "So.. you have any tea for me?"

you look at him confused "What do you mean?" "well you left with him last week am I right?" he wiggles his eyebrows you chuckle and shake your head 

"he has a big dick right?" he remarks as he nods feeling proud of his friend "It's not like that, nothing happened," you say defending yourself 

"Nah I don't believe you" he looks at you in disbelief "So he just talked to you and that was it?" you nod "Be for real right now!" he says in disbelief 

"I'm not lying to you, he just took me to buy something and then left me home"

"He didn't even kiss you or anything?" 

"no why would he, ain't he trying to get back with Sana or something?" you bicker a bit 

"ohh you sound jealous" he smirks

"is not like that" you try to lie "Gurl be for real right now, I've known you since we were in school" he makes a sassy face towards you trying "he is just a kind person that's all" you put your chin on your knees hugging them feeling shy about the conversation 

"but like I heard Sana and Chan slept together 2 days ago," I say, trying to see if the information is false hopping, it is false 

"I don't know about that y/n but I can ask him," he tells me "No don't worry about that" I get scared that maybe he will mention my name while asking

"did it happen again?" he asks me "What happened?" you ask looking at him "Did he... you know hit you again?" you nod 

"yeah Chan figured it out and went to buy me some cream for my eye" 

"oh, yeah he is like that, but maybe... just don't get your hopes up, because he can be like that, I guess he is nice, or he likes you, at the end, I don't know" you shrug not trying to get your hope up 

You always knew Chris was fine, you always saw him walking on the hallways, so you could say he was nothing but a hallway crush, but now that he started to talk to you, you felt important, but maybe your mind is playing tricks on you.

the bell rang so you got up "Bye Hyun-jin" he hugged you, and you felt the pity he gave you in that hug "Remember if you need my help you can call me right? we can call the police again and I will make sure he goes to jail" 

he separated himself from you, and you grabbed your bag leaving as well, but you felt eyes looking at you with disgust and jealousy, of course, they were the cheerleaders, Hyunjin's number 1 fans.

I roll my eyes and walk towards my next class 

You take your things out of your bag and start organizing your desk, clicking your pen out of boredom, but someone sits next to me nudging my arm with their elbow, it is Lia

she made a warning face, her eyes widening at the problem that was happening next to us

I raise my head and look over to my right, seeing  Jake flirting with Yuna "Seems we have a new couple aboard" she wiggles her eyebrows and I smile teasing Yuna when she makes eye contact with us 

I rested my head on my arm again while Lia grabbed her phone, but I felt someone looking at me, I looked forward and I saw Chan looking backward at me, I stared at him while I thrust my head upwards asking if he needed anything, but he just shook his head and positioned himself rightly in his desk, I close my eyes trying to get some rest, but Lia keeps talking to someone until I felt her get up and leave

"Hey, thanks for the notes"

[Music is a very big part of my life and I’m MOSTLY INCAPABLE of writing without music, so I just thought I'd share what I am listening to while writing this]

Hello my Dearest Gurls, Bois and Enbies.

It’s been a while since I made an actual post right? Oh and, for the time being, forget about that chapter 2 post, every time I resume writing it, I think about the present state of this fandom and I get so VEXED that I close the file soon after … so yeah, there’s that So, here I am, wanting to share something I thought of yesterday, something completely delulu but quite fun at the same time. 

AS ALWAYS, before we get off on DeluluLand, here is a message from our conductor *clears voice*: “Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, I trust I’m finding everyone well and ready to embark into this new trip. As today’s destination is particularly delulu and rather wishful-thinking-esque, I highly suggest bringing the toughest, biggest and shiniest tin hat in your possession, as well as your best clown clothes, with you when you disembark. Now, alas, the temperature is undesirable cold, the skies are pretty foggy and the waters are pretty rough, nonetheless, I do hope you still enjoy the journey, godspeed, this was your captain”. 

And now that we are all readily equipped let me welcome you without further ado to:

Jikook Travel Vlog Theory by Marengo! 

This isn’t a discussion about what I think the vlog will contain, but more of when I think it/they might be released, or rather, if I were jikook, which I’m obviously not, hence this being a delulu post, I would do it in the way I am about to explain. BUT FIRST, let’s see what knowledge we currently have available:

CONNECTICUT, JEJU, BUSAN, SAPPORO

Now, we know for a fact that they went to Connecticut and Sapporo to film this vlog, as eventually mentioned by JK on Suchwita. In Connecticut no thanks to an asshole we saw them with GoPros and also on their way to, and from, Sapporo, as always “courtesy” of airport warriors. So we have no doubt about those.

Jeju was a rumor that some k-jikookers had began some time last year, which was shutdown as quickly as it came out, but which, none other than our dear Tae confirmed a few months later when he made his Chuseok post on IG. BUT the question is; is the Jeju trip part of the Jikook Travel Vlog?

Last but not least is Busan. Admittedly, Busan is a super filler, guessed and projected destination as we don’t have any sightings of the both of them together last year. In fact, we only have confirmed sighting of JK with his 97 friends, thanks to a local restaurant. YET, yours truly Marengo feels that there might be something worth looking in there🕵🏾‍♀️. Considering that they are both from Busan, city that they don’t seem to despise, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to think that they would want to add it to their travel vlog … but would nobody notice them walking around the big city of Busan? I highly doubt it. Yet more shocking things have been known to happen, so who knows right?

But Marengo - you might be wondering - what’s with the title of your post then?! … WELL

You might remember the terms Solstice & Equinox from a very distant Science/Geography lesson in your memory, their definitions are not very complex, but do not worry, it is not in my interest to shove my geeky ass upon you today. What you need to know is that we basically use this particular “occurances” to practically determine the beginning of each season. We have 2 Solstice (Winter and Summer) and 2 Equinox (Spring & Autumn), which usually occur, give or take one day around the same time of the year as follows:

WINTER SOLSTICE - DECEMBER 20/21

SPRING EQUINOX - MARCH 21

SUMMER SOLSTICE - JUNE 20/21

AUTUMN EQUINOX - SEPTEMBER 23

… So, if we follow my VERY DELUSIONAL REASONING we would have 4 DATES (or time periods) and potentially 4 DESTINATIONS.

This year's Spring Equinox has been “taken over” by VHOPE so I don’t think that we would get anything, and even though Jin will be back with us on this year’s Summer Solstice, I doubt he would be promoting right off the bat (like ... I would think he would need time to adjust a bit … BUT WITH BANGTAN WHO KNOWS RIGHT???) … Which is why, in my head, the first VLOG would come out around this year’s Summer Solstice and proceed gradually as follows:

SUMMER SOLSTICE - JUNE 20/21 2024: CONNECTICUT VLOG

This was clearly a summer themed vlog, they were on a yacht, we saw their naked backs, thanks to Jimin, basically it screamed SUMMER

AUTUMN EQUINOX - SEPTEMBER 23 2024: JEJU VLOG ??

This was part of Tae’s Chuseok post, which as we know is a fall korean celebration so yeah, basically it screamed AUTUMN

WINTER SOLSTICE - DECEMBER 20/21 2024: SAPPORO VLOG

For those who don’t know Sapporo is known for it’s snow before the beer 🤡. It holds an annual winter festival which unfortunately the boys were too early for but …, so basically is screamed WINTER

SPRING EQUINOX - MARCH 21 2025: BUSAN VLOG ????

I got nothing for you y’all 😬😬😬, I’ve never been to Busan and once again other than being their birthplace, I couldn’t tell you if there’s anything related to Spring in Busan, but who knows, it might be a … beautiful place to visit in SPRING???

As you can see, the Solstices are rather certain, but the Equinox are hella shaky. YET if you think about it, what would be happening SUMMER SOLSTICE 2025? 

ALL THE TANNIES WOULD BE BACK HOME.

… And there you have it.

Now obviously this is all baseless theories, as we have been left to go off on nothing 🤡 and for all we knows they could drop it ALL TOMORROW 🤡 or even make it a weekly thing in May 2025 before they get back to us 🤡.WHO KNOWS RIGHT? THE POSSIBILITIES STILL REMAIN ENDLESS I’m afraid,

If you ask me however, If they did anything other than what I just rambled on, they’d miss out on making this a very instructive and seasonal thing 🙄😒 … BUT, again, THAT’S JUST ME.

Anyways, time to leave DeluluLand y’all, before the wrong people, or worse it’s inhabitants, find us!

Bertalan Székely (Hungarian, 1835-1910) Woman of Eger, 1867 Hungarian National Gallery On 29 September, 1552, an army of 70,000 Turks gathered at Szolnok and went on to attack the castle of Eger. The defenders of the castle numbered all together 2000, including serfs with no understanding of warfare, and many women and children. Nevertheless, the defenders of the castle, under the leadership of István Dobó, repelled the attacks, and on 18 October, the Turks retreated from the castle. The most famous contemporary account of the heroic defence of the castle was Sebestyén “Lantos” Tinódi’s ballad of 1553, the Fight for the Castle of Eger. Mihály Horváth called attention to the role of women in the siege in his 19th -century work. In his composition, Bertalan Székely wanted to express the Hungarians’ disadvantage in the struggle, as he describes it in his journal. By depicting the central female figure with the attackers in front of her and the castle in flames behind her, he evokes a feeling of true heroism, while creating an eternal symbol of patriotic sacrifice. - Iván Boldizsár explains the historical background to Székely’s Women of Eger: “In the sixteenth century, when the Turks had conquered the greater part of Hungary, Eger became the protecting bulkwark of the northern regions. After Buda, the capital, had fallen to the Turks, they tried to extend their dominion northwards to the Carpathians in order to carry through outflanking movements towards Vienna in the west and the southern territories of Poland in the east. Eger already had a fortress, built by Italian experts in fortification, to guard the valley which was the natural line of advance to the north. It was on these walls that the memorable battle for the defense of Eger was fought. A garrison of not more than two thousand, under István Dobó, resisted the challenge of a Turkish force said to be a hundred and fifty thousand strong. The citizens of Eger fought with dauntless courage, and when the fort seemed to be in danger of capitulation, the women joined the battle, gurling down cauldrons of boiling water and tar against the onrushing enemy. The struggle was finally crowned with victory, and the Turks turned back. This great feat has passed into literature. Not only dies every schoolchild in Hungary learn of it, but works of fiction have been written round it, among them the popular ’Stars of Eger’ by Géza Gárdonyi, a lasting work of Hungarian youth literature…. The fortress consists of a hill enclosed by massive walls, and honeycombed with underground passages at three different levels. It was this complicated system of underground defenses which enabled the defenders to face an enemy of vastly superior strength….Here and there are recesses in the walls of the corridors. During the siege sentinels sat here watching peas placed on a drum. The trembling of the peas showed where the Turks were beginning to undermine the walls, and by this simple device the defenders could know when to take measures to avert the danger by drilling counter-mines.“
