Analyzing Illumi Zoldyck's Character
Chrollo Analysis | Hisoka Analysis | Killua Analysis
What’s up y’all! Sorry for being away for the last few days. I needed a break from social media because I am so tired of seeing toxic, self-righteous people on my TL. Anyway, quite a lot of you liked my posts about analyzing HxH characters and somehow comparing them to VLD characters. Today, I’ll be talking about Illumi Zoldyck and I’ll try to compare him to a Voltron character. I know many people have already analyzed this character before, but it wouldn’t hurt to add to the discussion some years later. If you want me to write about anything else, send me an ask! The formatting of this post may be different than the one I wrote about Hisoka Morrow (click his name to view that post).
HERE WE GO!
In the first season, all of the characters are contestants for the Hunter’s Exam. I say contestants because this is a contest to see who can win without any injuries and can keep up with each host. I forget what number stage they were at, but I do know they were at the stage where each opponent has to fight each other. They are declared the winner if their opponent forfeits or gives up mid-match. (Off-topic, but) I am going, to be honest; Gon was my favorite character but his flaws began to show, annoyed me, and later led to his horrific downfall (based from YouTube clips). He didn’t know when to stop and kept pushing himself over the limit. Anyway, Killua and Gittarackur are set to fight. This is when things take a turn for the worse.
Gittarackur is a form of a disguise for Illumi to mask his identity. His face is long; nearly (and reminds me of) in the shape of a Tiki. His face also reminds me of the Witch Doctor mask from Scooby-Doo and Hell-raiser. He has several pins stuck in his face to maintain the facial features of Gittarackur. On the flip side, if he removes the pins, his biological form is revealed. Once he does this, Killua is nearly paralyzed; he cannot believe his eyes and I’m sure the trauma he endured at home hit him like a sack of rocks. Illumi then tells Killua that he wants him to return home, that he cannot maintain a friendship with Gon, stated that he was going to kill Gon, but realizes that if he does so he will be disqualified and will not obtain his Hunter’s license.
I’m assuming the cops aren’t a thing in this reality and the only way for them to “destroy” under the law is by obtaining the license. What do you think? I rarely see police officers; all I see are the Mafia and every they suck compared to the Zoldyck's and the Phantom Troupe. Shit, it seems like they’re the police but have twisted motives.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a fictional character or not, first impressions matter and he bombed this one...even for a villain.
But you did this for what?
How can you hypnotize (by using Nen) your own brother into killing another opponent because he doesn’t want to become an emotionless zombie like you? At least, that’s my perception. Telling your brother to run every time he faces an opponent that he knows he cannot win against is the sickest shit I’ve ever seen. I know I’m jumping around but another thought popped into my head. As the seasons go on, Illumi expresses an odd way of loving his younger brother and to him, that means to make him suffer in the same way he had to. It seems like Illumi is jealous of Gon in a way. (I’ve seen clips on YouTube) Killua takes Alluka to the hospital to heal Gon. Illumi has stated several times to Hisoka that Killua was hiding rules from him and that he still wanted to get rid of Alluka. Although it is clearly stated why he wanted Alluka gone, I still think that Illumi was jealous of Gon simply because his younger brother preferred to be with a friend instead of him. This is why he emphasizes “You cannot have friends. Either they will betray you or you’ll betray them.”
As I read and watched as the seasons went on, I noticed something about Illumi and his family. We all know that the children were raised by their parents. Specifically, their dad is a trained assassin. I can’t remember but I think Zeno is their grandfather who is also an assassin.
I view him as a character that has suffered from abuse and trauma in order to mold him into an assassin. He is emotionless, doesn’t really care for others, has an odd relationship with Killua that he doesn’t have for his other siblings, and is a hypocrite. Killua can’t be friends with Gon but every time the show cuts to him, he’s with Hisoka? Something is fishy there. Are they more than friends? OK, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. Here's the physical analysis below.
Face
When masquerading as Gittarackur, his face has several pins in them and his hair is in a rock star form of Mohawk that is purple. I’ll give him 10/10 for uniqueness, yet it still reminded me of Hell Raiser.
Tumblr media
I’ve noticed that when he is in public he is in costume. Why doesn’t he reveal himself in public? I’ve researched this and no one could answer this question. My guess is that he is a verified hunter and assassin. How can you carry out your missions if everyone knows what you look like? Without the pins in his face, it reverts back to his natural state. To me, his large eyes and long, shiny black hair are his distinguished features. Although he may be my least favorite character, he does have pretty eyes. Haven’t you all heard of “I got lost in his/her eyes”?
Tumblr media
Yeah, that can be said about him. Most definitely. He rarely smiles and when he does, something BAD is going to happen. I saw him laugh crazily once Alluka began the healing process, the Nen (I guess) rose from the hospital and got on him. This scene reminds me of how Haggar reacted once the Komar’s quintessence bounced from Voltron and bounced onto her. Wow, these supernatural abilities make y’all feel that good?
Clothes
Gittarackur and Illumi wear the same clothes, which should be a clear giveaway that they are the same. Illumi wears a neural green short jacket that has yellow pins in them, a light green shirt underneath, and green pants. His shoes remind me of loafers with a heel on them, something my grandmother would wear.
Tumblr media
I’ve said this before and I’ll say again, these bad-ass men in this show are very stylish and seem to be in shape more than I am. Although Illumi irks me, his fashion is great and this is why people prefer him to be their favorite character. Shows should always produce characters that are memorable; that is the key to a long-lasting fan base.
In conclusion, this anime (for the most part) has well-rounded characters that make the plot interesting and wanting more.
Illumi and Lotor are somewhat similar. They both grew up in abusive households and lost some sense of sensitivity, common sense, and were often “misguided” by their own selfishness. Illumi wants a better life for Killua by constantly brainwashing him into thinking that he cannot have friends and his can only find happiness through killing. Zarkon raises Lotor to be a prince that shouldn't work with planets and should destroy them. This explains why he used deceased Alteans from the colony, drained their quintessence, and didn't give them a proper burial. Lotor IS just like his father but Killua IS NOT like Illumi. Ironic, huh? As we all know by now, Lotor is the son of Honerva (Haggar) and Zarkon. After the rift accident, he became an emotionless, ruthless monster that colonized and destroyed planets just to gain their quintessence. He taught this to his son and once he was old enough to think for himself, he refused to act in such a way. Although he was exiled and said he wasn’t like Zarkon, he was; but worse. Lotor studied and gained knowledge about Altea and its people while using Allura to gain the secrets of Oriande. I say he used her because he knew from the moment he met her that he was harvesting Altean quintessence. While fighting the white lion, he yelled “Victory or Death” which is a common catchphrase the Galra use when they are in battle. In fact, the Galra have been victims of trauma from Zarkon. Zarkon’s ruthless ways of ruling had no other motive except for obtaining quintessence so he could live forever. Silva’s way of raising his children was done to mold them into assassins. Since he was taught this way he did the same thing to his children. Zarkon, Silva, and Zeno think that their ways of parenting are necessary for survive in life when it doesn’t have to be that way. Illumi and Lotor have experienced this horrific parenting and deal with it in different ways. Illumi is oddly obsessive of his younger brother and Lotor is a fucking liar.
This analysis was fun! Next, I’ll be analyzing Killua and Keith Kogane.

Illumi Analysis | Hisoka Analysis | Killua Analysis
What’s up, everybody! I am back yet again with another Hunter x Hunter post. You all really like my Hisoka and Illumi character analysis and thoughts. I figured why not analyze Chrollo as well? Apparently, Chrollo, Hisoka, and Illumi are considered the Adult Trio on here so that is why I used the tag. I understand that this is a Voltron blog but I changed it into a multi because I have a love for other shows that deserve to be talked about. I post these character analyses because they will help me define and develop characters of my own and I love talking about them. Where are they from? What do they do in their spare time? And so on. Read the entire post for links and references!
Let’s get into the post!
I’ve stated in my "Hunter x Hunter Thoughts #2" post that Chrollo caught my attention immediately in the Yorknew City Arc. It was a combination of his large eyes, his calm, smooth voice, the tattoo on his forehead, and his hairstyle. I’ve noticed that my heart flutters a little when these characters speak (don't make it weird. You know what I mean) because their voices are smooth and calm. I think this tactic often used to get the viewers to “love” the villain regardless of any wrongdoings they do in the show. I noticed numerous things about him that made me wonder why he dresses the way he does, why is he so calm and dark, and why does he lurk in the shadows?
I have to be honest. One thing that often annoys me about several anime/manga(s) is they introduce SEVERAL characters at once, push some characters off to the very end, and do not give proper backstories for villains, especially. I don’t side with villains but a backstory should be a necessity. The only main antagonist that has a proper backstory is Illumi because we know that he was raised by crazy assassins. Hisoka doesn't have a backstory except for a one-shot that isn’t canon and neither does Chrollo.
I’ve only seen 2 flashbacks regarding Chrollo and his past. He was born in Meteor City which was a town full of trash; no houses, plants, or schools. It is implied that he only survived from stealing from others. His current members are people he met in his hometown. Chrollo often states that he is the head of the group and if he dies, he trusts that they’ll make a great decision on who the new leader will be. In the present, Gon asks him how he could kill people he didn’t know. The silence and rhythmic thunder-claps imply that he doesn’t know why.
Tumblr media
Is it something he does...impulsively? Throughout this arc, it seems that Chrollo is having somewhat of an identity crisis. He has stated several times about trying to figure out “who he is”. By that, Chrollo must not like to steal and destroy but to him, that is what he needs to do to survive.
This raises the question of: “If he has stolen for all these years, why is he still living in a destroyed church?”
He’s been a bandit for years. I’m sure he’s on the radar somewhere. He can’t walk around with the troupe members in broad daylight because someone will recognize them. Maybe this is why they only travel in the dark. Machi was brave for walking from Heaven’s Arena in the dark.
He can’t buy a house. What name, card info, or co-leaders would sign the lease? He’s a bandit, remember. His face is somewhere waiting to be caught.
He has accepted this state of living. I thought that since he lived in a trash town that he would want to live in a luxurious place if he could, but no. He lives in a destroyed church, in darkness, and only speaks to his members.
When Chrollo stole the girl’s ability to tell the future, he took it for two reasons. A) because he needed it to see what would happen to Uvo in the new world and B) because the girl’s father used her ability for money and didn’t care for her.
The only reason why I feel an ounce of sympathy for him and not Illumi is it seems like Chrollo raised himself. He took it upon himself to steal and whatnot so he could eat. Chrollo came from nothing while Illumi had a mansion, butlers, protection, and anything he wanted. FYI, just because you have a luxurious lifestyle doesn’t mean you’re happy but in this case, Illumi had shelter while Chrollo didn’t.
Face
Chrollo’s face is what I aspire to create for my own OC’s but manage to fail every time. His face matches his body. If it weren’t for his tattoo and his main hairstyle, I wouldn’t have thought he was a threat to anyone. His face is well-rounded and reminds me of a young adult. His skin is pale and often covered in shadows because he is always in a room that is only lit by a candle. His ears are rather large for his head, but they match ok. Although, I wish his tattoo was removed. To me, that ruins his character design. He already has an inverted cross on his coat and is implied by the destroyed church he lives in. The tattoo just reminds me of a cult for some reason and that is why he gave me unsettling feelings at first.
Tumblr media
Eyes
Chrollo’s large eyes are another feature that had me aghast. Some people love big eyes, but his grey pupils capture you almost like you're hypnotized to do anything he wants. They’re a pretty shade of grey, though.
Tumblr media
Hair
I am going to say this loud and proud: CHROLLO LOOKS MUCH BETTER WITH HIS HAIR DOWN! Yes, to me he looks much respectable, mature, and serious with it down. His hair is jet black and is shiny like Illumi’s. I could only imagine if I had the chance to touch his hair, the dye would come off on my hands. The down look? The best way to go!
Tumblr media
Clothes
His clothes are very stylish. The coat he wears would be PERFECT for the winter seasons! If I ever cosplay, I’m wearing that coat while it's snowing. In the first scene, he was seen wearing a black shirt with white lines going in numerous directions. After that, the creators decided to let his rippling chest show for the rest of the arc. Damn, rippling chests have been a popular decision and NO ONE is complaining! His black pants remind me of skinny jeans and even if they are, he’s lucky because I CANNOT wear skinny jeans. Once I wore them, bent over, and ripped them! I said to myself, “WTF? I paid $35 for these!”
Tumblr media
Shoes
He wears black boots that reach up to his leg. He isn’t as stylish as Illumi and Hisoka, but that’ll do. His clothing is much simpler for anyone to cosplay.
Voice
As stated above, Chrollo has a soft, calm voice. He is the only villain I’ve seen that maintains composure during tough situations. I don't know if this was planned or not, but the main antagonists have calm soothing voices. When Chrollo went out with the fortune teller, I forgot he only did that for his selfish gain. I thought he generally enjoyed the date.
In conclusion, I wish Chrollo had a backstory like many characters in this manga. I think Hisoka and Chrollo’s backstory would be the most interesting to me. When these twisted characters appear before us, you want to know why they became this way. Having an empty villain isn’t good and is quite annoying.
Thank you for reading this post! If you’d like me to analyze any characters from Voltron or Hunter x Hunter, send me an ask!

My thoughts about Lotor and his character. (Yes, read the entire thing)
Ok, I am going to ruffle some feathers with this post but that’s ok. We all will have different opinions about things. I’ve been debating on whether or not I should make this post because I know once the toxic fandom gets to it, they will try to bully me off of the internet. But no matter, I am going to say it anyway.
We all know who Prince Lotor is and for those of you that don’t know, let me give you the rundown.
He is the exiled son of Zarkon and Honerva (Haggar). He was sent away because he refused to blow up a planet and wanted to work with Ven’tar and her people instead of defeating them. This was seen as a sign of weakness to Zarkon and he wanted his son to react the same way he would. Throughout his time away from the Galra, he studied his Altean heritage and how he could get to Oriande. He is only called back because Zarkon is left in a coma and is unable to run the empire. Still, he is running the empire in a rather weird way. He’s running it while he is away...fighting Voltron...and trying to find the trans-reality comet. For me, Lotor’s motives have flip-flopped since the beginning and this is why I was very leery of his character. It raised several red flags. At first, he fought Voltron every time he saw them but then he randomly switches to working with them. Once he defeated Zarkon, this is when he and Voltron became “true” allies. True enough he provided them with correct intel on enemies but still…I didn’t trust him at all. When the team reached Oriande it was revealed that Lotor was half-Altean and this is when Allura seemed to trust him more than before. That’s when I was like: “oh no. Someone’s about to get hurt.” And guess what? I was right although I don’t like to be right sometimes. Lotor invites the team to Zarkon’s ship and this is where they find out about Oriande.
Now, one of the golden questions here is did Lotor actually like Allura, or did he use her? I do think he genuinely had feelings for her and that is why they “worked” together so much. She obviously must have liked him too to tell him all of the secrets regarding the alchemy (which was a stupid move). Why did Lotor self-destruct? Allura said he was more like Zarkon than she ever imagined. Well, that would hurt especially coming from someone that you truly had feelings for. That whole exchange was upsetting but here’s the kicker.
I would actually feel bad for Lotor if he hadn’t lied to her. He knew the moment he met her that he had been harvesting Altean quintessence from those who thought they were going to the colony. Shit, what if something happened to Allura and he did the same thing to her? That part would make anyone believe that he used not only her but the entire team. When I saw that scene I yelled: “I knew it!” When he tried reasoning with her for the last time, he blew it. Then again, that your fault, dude.
Let’s see here: Allura’s parents were technically killed, the planet was destroyed, had been asleep for 10,000 years just to find out that the very one that killed her parents was still alive. She had been through all of this heartbreak just to finally connect and trust someone that in the end truly broke her heart by lying.
The whole rift scene was...a lot. To sum things up, Lotor became power-hungry. I mean the girl of his dreams just rejected him several times. I guess he didn’t have anything to lose. He wanted all of the power so he got it right? About them leaving him in the rift...morally was it right? Absolutely not. Then again, if they saved him, he would have definitely “turned out more like Zarkon” than everyone thought, maybe worse.
In conclusion, I have a “love-hate” feeling for Lotor. I see that he was trying to make the empire better but I’m assuming his methods weren’t working so he turned to the dark side. In a way, he is like Zarkon, just much smarter about his actions.
I love drawing Lotor and Allura but my word still stands.

Give Me Your Undivided Attention
What’s up, y’all? I’m back with another story! This story is much shorter than the other ones because I wrote this on my break and since there isn’t any dialogue between Kova and Lotor, this one is more of a narration.  The prompt by @vld-prompts says: Kova takes a nap in Lotor’s chair and refuses to move.  I hope you all enjoy this short one!
Jab! Duck! Swerve!
Jab! Duck! Swerve!
Acxa, Ezor, and Zethrid heard these three words on repeat for 2 Vargas. Although the ladies wanted and needed to be the best tactical fighters in the galaxy, they too, needed a break from training. They trained quintant and night, fighting, lifting, swimming, and any other training that would sharpen their senses and strength. Three quintants out of the movement their weight training was completed. All three were heavy lifters, and their arms showed their progress.
After the last session, all three of them wiped the sweat from their faces simultaneously.
“Are you ladies tired,” Lotor asked.
“No, Sir.”
Everyone knows (especially those who participated in sports in elementary school) that if the coach asks: “Are you tired”, you always respond with “no”. If you said “yes”, you exercised more and harder; almost until you passed out. Ezor shot Acxa an irritated stare and rolled her eyes. She had enough for the day.  That was understandable.
“Great. I think you all and I have had enough training for the day. You are dismissed. Make sure you are up and ready in the morning. We will be meeting with team Voltron tomorrow and we need to be sharp and polished as much as possible. If we can gain their trust, we can finally achieve our goal.”
“Vrepit Sa,” they said placing their fists over their hearts. Their loyalty to Lotor was something combined with sincere friendship and respect. As quiet as kept, Lotor not only wanted his generals to be the sharpest knives in the drawer but he also cared about them; he wanted to make sure they could defend themselves effectively for their own safety.
It seemed like no matter how great he was at fighting, he kept pushing himself to fight more. He wanted to be the best. Heck, in his mind, he was the best but he wanted everyone to know. Eh, there’s nothing wrong with having an ego. This time around, Lotor decided that he was actually going to rest. He was going to kick his feet up on his wooden desk and lay back in his red and black comfortable reclining chair. He knew that as soon as he sat in the chair--LIGHTS OUT!
As he entered his room, he immediately noticed that his fluffy cat, Kova, was laying in his chair. He was sound asleep, purring loudly as usual.  Kova was so lucky! He’s just an animal that has been alive for 10,000 years, in great health, and didn’t have to worry about anything except for being petted.  Lotor smiled a little, just admiring Kova. This cat, along with his generals, helped him survive the years in the past.
As he slowly approached the chair, Kova opened one eye and gave Lotor the stare of death. He attempted to move him, but instead, Kova hissed loudly as if he was highly irritated.
“Oh, come on kitten, you’re in my chair. It’s time for me to nap now.”
He attempted to pick him up again, but this time Kova swiped his arm quickly leaving fresh lines on his purple skin.
“Ow! What was that for?”
He scolded the cat as if he could understand what Lotor was saying and all Kova did was stare at him again, carelessly laying his pretty little head on his arm. He showed his sharp vampire teeth then continued to rest carelessly in the chair he now possessed. Lotor could feel him becoming more light-headed as dobashes passed. It was only a matter of time before he passed out from exhaustion. But the question remains, why is Kova being so stubborn? It was unusual for him to be acting like this. Then again, Lotor has been so busy with training, talking to rebel fighters, trying to stay as far as he could from Zarkon while trying to take over the empire that he completely forgot about his beloved cat. Lotor moved to the back of the chair and attempted to grab him that way.  It didn’t work. Kova not only scratched his wrists but also tore the back of his chair. Three intense kitten claw marks were engraved in the chair. Lotor frowned in anger, nearly about to “throw hands” with his cat.
“You’re such a naughty cat when you don’t get what you want.”
He waited for 5 doboshes and attempted to move the stubborn cat again. Kova clawed him good.
“Ow! What is going on with you?!”
This time Kova’s hissing was more of an upsetting tone. He sat down again and stared at Lotor, and rubbed his head against the chair’s arm. Lotor already knew that he wasn’t going to be able to sit in this chair at all anytime soon. Instead, he sat next to the chair, legs crisscrossed, and leaned his head against the wooden drawers in his desk. He released a sigh of relief and slowly closed his eyes. Two whole movements of non-stop combat and weight training will drain your energy QUICKLY. It was fitting to finally have a moment of peace and quiet and to have time to reflect. Just as he fell into a slumber, he felt something soft and gentle brush against his arm feeling rather ticklish. He opened one eye just to see his hiss-y cat had brushed his head against his chest and made himself comfortable in his lap. Poor Kova. All he wanted was Lotor’s undivided attention, that’s all. He purred softly, still rubbing his head against Lotor’s chest, and then the perfect idea popped into the prince’s head.  With Kova in his right hand and his pillow in his left, he sat in his reclining chair, propped his head on the pillow, and placed Kova in his lap, gently stroking his fur. Within ticks, both the prince and his best friend were sound asleep, resting for the big quintant tomorrow.

What’s up y’all! Tumblr is literally fucking glitching and certain letters on my keyboard aren't working so I couldn't put in a title. The title of this is: "I Will Always Celebrate My Birthday". Here is another lovely prompt from @vld-prompts . I hope you like it! If these stories seem rushed, it’s because I am writing them before working and I go to school so I have to fit them in some time, right? Anyway, this prompt says: The Paladins learn that Alteans have no concept of birthday celebrations and promptly decide to demonstrate one for Allura, Coran (and/or Lotor.) Happy reading and follow me for more stories!
Princess Allura; the girl that has been to hell and back; took in many “aliens” and trained them to be paladins of the lions. She had experienced tragedy after tragedy but somehow managed to keep pushing. Lots of people looked up to her for hope and support and she never disappointed. It seemed like all she did was work and work and work until she passed out from exhaustion. Once she was so tired that she couldn’t even remember her own age! Wait! How old is she again? 10,000 years old right? No! She’s 10,001 years old! She reached into the drawer in her dresser and pulled out a thin, long gold box that was glistening under the light. She gently opened the box and there laid a beautiful pearl necklace and bracelet. This was a gift from the late King Alfor and Melanor of Altea; her parents. They had always mentioned the necklace as a reward for reaching such an age. You see, in Altean history, when a woman turns 10,001 years old, they take life more seriously. They know that it is time to buckle down; it is time to make money, find a partner, and parent children to follow in their footsteps. The necklace was a reward for her accomplishments. Allura often thought of her parents, wishing that they could see her now. They both would be proud.
Lance and Pidge entered the living room carrying heavy boxes that Coran gave them full of dusty trophies and small knickknacks. They were trying to clean out the 3rd floor so Hunk and Pidge could set up their virtual reality equipment. Suddenly, both tripped and dropped the boxes spilling everything all over the floor. Hey, blame the pearls. They’re THAT shiny.
“Oh! I’m sorry, Allura said running from her chair. She grabbed Pidge and Lance by their arms and pulled them up. “Let me help you pick this up.” Pidge got up, dusted herself off, and returned to pick up the items from the ground. “Lance, could you pass me the cardboard box. Lance? Lance! Are you listening to me?” To Allura’s surprise (not really), Lance was staring at her for much longer than usual. His mouth nearly dropped to the ground as he gave Allura two looks. It must have been some magic in that ol’ pearl necklace. Allura had on a light rose pink dress that exposed her shoulders. A white rose was pinned to her dress. This was apart of Altean tradition; on your special day, you just wore fancy clothes around the house and whenever you went out. “Lance! You’re drooling,” Pidge said groaning in irritation. It was bad enough Lance was slightly lazy but him drooling over Allura slowed her down. “Oh, sorry. S-sorry for staring Allura. Y-you just look prettier than usual. That necklace makes your skin glow.” “Thank you, Lance. I appreciate it.” “Great. Heh-he. Lance, can we finish this now? Hunk and I have work to do.” “R-right. Right” Still love-struck, Lance managed to help Pidge put away the boxes and the rest of the clothes laid on the couch. Lance was right about one thing, she never dressed like this before, why so sudden? “Why are you dressed liked that,” Pidge asked. “Don’t question it Pidge!” “It’s ok. Today is the day I was born 10,001 years ago.” “So, it’s your birthday?” “What?” “Your birthday. Today was the day you were born 10,001 years ago.” “Ah, yes. Right!” “Great! When do we get cake and ice cream?” “Ice cream? Cake?” “You’ve never heard of cake and ice cream?! Wow, your parties must have been lame.” “Actually...I’ve never had any of those...parties. What are they like?” “They’re fun! You have cake, ice cream, and if you’re lucky you get to have your birthday at a venue!” Lance LOVED birthday parties. It was the perfect opportunity for him to get as many phone numbers as he could and for him to talk to his friends about games and live streaming. Pidge on the other hand was an introvert; she liked staying to herself because that was the only way for her to get her work completed. The only person that could relate to her was Hunk and they had similar interests. “Lance doesn’t need any more sugar than what he is already consuming. Pidge pushed her glasses closer to her face as she placed the last box on the table. But I am willing to throw you a birthday party if Lance will help me.” “Of Course I will! Hunk will bake the cake, he can make the ice cream, and Pidge and I will make party favors. Let’s go, team! Mission Birthday Party is a-go.” Lance, being excited about this mission, was so overjoyed that he ran flat into the door. “I’m ok!” Baking a cake was the perfect task for Hunk during this time. Constantly thinking about returning to Earth can and will drive you insane. He and the other paladins have a point--they did not sign up for this mission but they were called upon to carry out a job and they were nearly finished, at last. Hunk had taken bakery classes at the nearby arts and crafts store, NaTalia’s. He had learned how to make birthdays, weddings, and just regular cakes with a quickness. His art form including basic designs and printing edible pictures on the cake. Allura’s favorite colors were pink, white, and dark grayish-blue. Although those colors were far apart from each other on the palette, he made it work. The ice-cream was already made. He decided to make mint chocolate and vanilla to ensure everyone was satisfied. The cake was great and it looked delicious too! The only downside is that the ship’s kitchen looked like a tornado ran through it. Oh well. That’s how you know you accomplished your mission. He topped the cake off with little wax figures of King Alfor and Melanor at the top near the pink rim. He thought this was the perfect finishing touch...hopefully she thinks so too. Hunk gently placed the ice cream and the cake on a pushcart and began to
wheel it to the bridge. The wax figures made Hunk think harder. He was going to remove them. He didn’t want Allura to cry on her big day, he wanted her to be happy. The doors opened as everyone stood to their feet and watched the beautiful cake be wheeled into the room. The edible sparkly pink glitter glistened underneath the room’s headlights. Allura stood to her feet, her hands over her mouth gasping in amazement. Pidge and Lance had made pink and white confetti and by some miracle found pink balloons in the closet. Just when they were going to sing “Happy Birthday” by Stevie Wonder, a few tears began to fall from Allura’s face. Hunk’s smile was instantly wiped away. He knew he should have removed the figurines. “Allura...I-I’m sorry. I thought--” “--No! It’s ok! I love it! Thank you Hunk!” Allura nearly knocked him over with her hug, but that’s ok. It was a warm bear hug; one full of love and joy. “Hey! Where’s my hug?!” “Later, Lance.” “Ooooh,” Pidge said laughing. “Ok, who’s ready to sing Happy Birthday, Keith asked already grabbing a hamburger slider. I’m hungry. “Happy Birthday to ‘ya. Happy Birthday to ‘ya. Happy Birth-day!” The team sang, off-key, but that didn’t matter. All that mattered is they successfully gave Allura the first birthday experience of her life and it is safe to say that she loved it. She was overjoyed with emotion, all happiness. Shiro gave her a few tissues to wipe her eyes with so her eye makeup wouldn’t drip. “Thank you all! I appreciate it very much! I will always celebrate my birthday for as long as I shall live!”

Activity Calendar for April
Y'all, I have finally put together a calendar of writing reminders for this blog for this month! I had to do this because I've been writing all over the place and haven't kept it consistent. This is a Voltron blog, although Hunter x Hunter content has exposed me to a new fandom where people actually interact with my posts. I have to say, I was barely receiving any engagement with my Voltron posts and that is because the fandom has been burnt out from my observation. During the show's run, there were multiple problems with the fandom. To many toxic people. Anyway, see the picture below to get an idea of what I'll be posting every other week. If I have time I'll post more than twice a week. If you see me posting on days that I wouldn't, just know that this is the first time I'm actually using a schedule correctly. Sometimes its along the lines of "Do as the spirit leads you". Sometimes I will post on schedule and sometimes I won't; it depends on how I feel. Still, take a look.

Author’s note: Hello, y’all! I have edited this chapter. I am positive that I have fixed all grammar errors and moved sentences around. Take a look again!
Chapters: 2/? Fandom: Voltron: Legendary Defender Rating: Mature
“Barbecue smoke filled the air. The smell of freshly cut grass evened itself with the sweet smell of a nearby cherry blossom tree. Banjo music could be heard ever so softly in the distance as the team approached the house of none other than Mr. Gaines and his 2nd wife. As they slowly approached the farmer’s house, the team came across a stable of cows and horses. The cows stared blankly at the humans in awe. Instead of the cows running away in fear, they ran towards them and mooed in a friendly manner. Hunk and Lance reached out to pet the cows but for some reason, the cows jerked their heads away from their hands. Cows are curious animals; they’re always open to adventures but they also keep their distance, although the bull (male cow) ran and met Lance head-on aiming his nose at his forehead. The bull released air through his nostrils hard enough to knock him off his feet but managed to stay grounded....”

This is what I have so far. I am still editing and getting use to AO3 since I am only familiar with Wattpad. Take a look at the PREFACE and tell me what you think.  Don’t worry, it is supposed to be short!

Its mee again haha! I agree with the fact that the galra seem like very elegant type of people. I've been curious on what you think the voltron coalition wpuld think about the empire (technically not empire anymore) post canon? I feel like they would be very accepting but at the same time they would still be skeptical since yknow zarkon and family had gone insane lol.
Hello, anon! Sorry about the wait, I’ve been through a lot this week. This response could possibly be short but I am going to make it as long as possible. If you are talking about the life on Daibazaal, I think they would have liked it. In fact, If Daibazaal hadn’t been destroyed or allowed the creatures to stay, the joint forces from each of the Coalition would have teamed up to defeat the remaining enemies in the universe. There wouldn’t be any remaining enemies!! You have to remember that the coalition was only formed when Zarkon turned into a tyrant and began to colonize planets.
Let’s say that by some miracle that Zarkon realized the error of his ways (yeah, right), I think the coalition wouldn’t believe him at all and would think it was another one of his tricks. It has the feeling of “the damage is already done”. Since Zarkon is no longer here, it is easier to give the people of the coalition space to think about this and determine if they really want to be apart of it. Think about it. You have been colonized for phoebes by a tyrant and all of a student 4 human teenagers, a human adult, and two aliens say that they are going up against Zarkon(when he was alive)? I would be afraid to, but then they all saw other planets being freed and they were able to gain the courage.
I hope I answered your question, anon. I appreciate you waiting. I have been through so much with school and work, it’s unbelievable. Some people have forgotten that we’re still in a pandemic. Anyway, you are welcome to send more!
