Just read your Ada headcannons and just

Lack of eye contact as a sign of trust is just sending me places. I'm not even in the RE Fandom. I just it's so good. A subtle sign that a heavily guarded and defensive character is finally starting to open up, finally starting to trust you and its allowing themselves to look away. To not be hyperfoucused on everything you do and just simply acknowledge you're there. To let themselves simply exist in a way they can't around anyone else. It's so fucking good. So fucking good.

to me, a huge part of Ada's character and comfort zone has to do with Knowledge, Information and Awareness. I don't think Ada likes being taken by surprise. She's good at adapting and improvising in tight spots, of course she is, but I think Ada excels and thrives when she has access to ALL the facts and ALL the details, especially when she has time to prepare and plan. Being physically aware of her space and the situation she's in is a huge comfort and necessity for her on and off the field and I think that applies to how she treats interpersonal/social relationships.

She will maintain direct eye contact, study your face, your body language, everything. Turning a blind eye to anyone is a fatal mistake. Do not underestimate anyone, yknow. So I think when Ada is truly, truly comfortable with you she'd be able to turn her back and let herself look away. She likely spends a lot of her private time alone, so spending time with someone and being able to drop her guard and let them exist within her space without being seen as a threat or potential danger is just ..... wah, it's so chef's kiss to me.

Hyper awareness is such a staple of survival for her, so being able to drop that, even for a little bit, would just be so meaningful to her. :')

Random thought of the day because I will never stop hyperfixating on Exos:

Exos can get sick, but it’s very rare and most of the “sicknesses” operates much like a computer virus at a functional level. Many symptoms of these viruses can mirror those of more organic sicknesses, I.e. upset stomach, headache, fever, body aches. Though there are a few Exo specific symptoms that can occur, I.e. glitching voice box, staticky optics, sudden shut downs, malfunctioning limbs, etc.

There are shops that sell “kill codes” that act as the Exo equivalent of antibiotics and antivirals, though they have timed effects and often leave the Exo feeling weak and tired after it kills the virus, since now their systems have to clean up the mess the viruses made and work on restoring potentially lost data—this takes a lot of energy.

Maybe these viruses originated from the Golden Age as a way to hack into Exos and shut them down, because some people didn’t agree with what BrayTech was doing with Exos. Those computer viruses, which were potentially programmed to be “self-learning” so it could adapt to the protective measures installed in Exos, ended up “mutating” and becoming more dangerous and “infectious” (i.e. now they can spread through contact via jumping across from one body to the other via static electricity or something idk) and so people have developed safeguards against them—like firewalls that act as their “vaccines” that are installed into their bodies and hardware so the virus can’t do anything.

I dunno, I’m just musing. Feel free to add on y’all’s thoughts haha

You know how there was this weird trend where parents would throw cheese at their crying baby and the baby would just shut up?

Chuuya has done this to Dazai and it was very effective.

LIKE LISTEN- Chuuya had seen the videos circulating the internet and he’s just like ‘This is my last resort in a ditch effort to shut that fishy bastard up.’ and one day he was just desperate to have some peace and quiet in his goddamn house so he can do documents and Dazai just wouldn’t be quiet so he got up, went to the kitchen, grabbed a slice of cheese, came back and just chucked it dead centre in his face.

And Dazai shut the fuck up because he could not even begin to process what the fuck just happened. Chuuya has now dubbed him a man-baby.

BEST THING IS HE STILL DOES THIS.

When the ADA and PM have a truce and are just getting things done in Chuuya’s house, everybody just wanted Dazai to be quiet for a minute, so Chuuya snuck away, got a slice of cheese, came back and suddenly it was smack dab in the middle of Dazai’s face. This shut him up instantly because he’s having war flashbacks.

Everyone just looked confused, amused or ready to laugh and then Chuuya said, “There, problem solved.” Which had all of them bursting into hysterics.

Dazai hates it when he has what they call ‘Cheese Days’. Days where it’s just a never ending 24 hours of Chuuya throwing cheese at Dazai and because Chuuya knows Dazai knows him, he tries to do it in ways he normally wouldn’t for maximum success.

It happened in the ADA once. All the members could hear was Dazai irritatedly shouting “CHUUYA!” and Chuuya laughing his ass off. Chuuya can catch him at the most impossible angles, not to mention his ability, it really doesn’t mean much when he’s using his ability to throw things at Dazai for obvious reason.

Dazai hates it, Chuuya loves it and holds onto it like a lifeline.

rapid firing ada headcanons because I just need to write them down somewhere or I'll eat my drywall. lot of these are personal use or potentially not good but listen we areeeee brainstorming.

-I do not think Ada would be the type to get tattoos tbh. Identifying features on her body would be dangerous for a spy....but I....I really love the idea of her getting symbolic tattoos around the scars she sustained for Leon. I think looking at them hurts her but she doesn't want to forget them. Ever.

-Just really vibe with the idea of Ada having cold skin. Cold fingers and a cold face and just...she's chilly.

-Prefers tea to coffee. Likes warm beverages. Avoids sugar.

-is a Night Owl. Loves nighttime. Loves the peace and quiet that comes with it.

-Is fantastic at close combat but really prefers impersonal/long range fighting. Using rifles and other ranged weapons is her preference.

-Smoked cigarettes when she was younger but quit due to the demands of her work. Still breaks out a pack or two on really really rough nights.

-Cosmetics and makeup is an Incredibly Important ritual for her. Putting on her "face" is the priority and she will never go anywhere with a naked face.

-Unbothered about showing off her body but incredibly guarded when it comes to physical touch. Do not touch her.

-............idk If this makes ANY sense at all, but like. The idea that a LACK of eye contact is a sign of trust for her. Her being willing to turn her back on you or being comfortable enough that she lets herself look away, stripping herself of the option of reading your expressions and scrutinizing your reactions...
