He was seemingly doing really well yesterday but today he is too weak to walk steadily which is why it needs to be today. He's not hurting but he's weak. Once he realized I had some scrambled egg and ice cream for him though he was excited to move. This boy is so happy to have his favorite foods still.

I don’t know if I ever posted an update about the mysterious bladder issue Mandana was having last year but we did end up figuring it out.

She was having allergic reactions to the water-activated herbicides that our apartment complex uses excessively. So whenever it would rain she would have a skin reaction + swelling and we would give her antihistamines. Turns out antihistamines can cause urine retention. So then she wasn’t peeing and I would take her to the vet for suspected UTI but the tests would always come back negative.

Now that I’m more aware of the issue I try to only use Benadryl when she’s having a really bad reaction. Otherwise, I use a double dose of Claritin which still causes her to have trouble peeing but not as severe.

Butcher has had gastro issues since he came to live with us. It took so long to get things settled only for him to suffer vomiting last month which he had to visit the vets for. He recovered well from that and we were hoping things would stay that way. But sadly they haven't. With £230 still outstanding from that visit, I can't consider taking him for more testing to get to the bottom of why and put a long term plan in place because I am disabled and taking care of my animals is the only thing I can really do (even caring for them can be difficult due to how unpredictable my illness is).

Hi everyone. My dog Gracie has been having health problems. A few weeks ago I found a couple small bumps around her stomach area and every couple of days I find more, and the previous ones I find have gotten bigger. I believe she has breast cancer. They’re showing up very quickly and I’m very worried about her.

She turns 8 years old in April this year. In September my family has planned a trip to the beach that we’ve been planning for a year for the first time in 10 years and Gracie loves water. Always wanting to play in the hose or the bathtub and she’s never been on a trip before. I would love more than anything to be able to take her with me because she would love it.

I got fired from my job after calling out just one day due to having to take Gracie to the emergency vets. I love her so so much and I want to be able to keep her as long as I can. It’s so hard trying to find a job after getting clean recently and I’m afraid something is going to happen before I’m able to find something.

It would mean the absolute world to me if any of you would be willing to help out and at least share this post so more people see it. Thank you all so much for your time and I love all of you.

west’s slowly improving. the meds still make him very woozy, but the side effects are gradually wearing off. he’s not had any seizures since the first time, so we’re all hoping that trend continues

Heya guys,

Just a message to say I'm maybe putting my dog to sleep on Monday.

He's 19 years old, and that's two weeks, he's really, really not well. He's not eating, drinking, or doing anything by himself anymore. He's totally incontinent, and he's barely holding onto his paws, he's convulsing every two hours or so...

I think it's time to say goodbye, even if it's heartbreaking, for his sake as well as mine, since that's now 2 weeks I'm on 2-3 hours of sleep a night, and with how fragile my health is already, I can't keep going like this anymore.

We're waiting to see if there's any improvement until Monday, but I do not believe there will be any.

I won't be posting this week-end, I'll reblog pretty Undertale art instead. I'll keep you updated soon <3

Pebbles is a 3 and a half year old long hair chihuahua that I rescued from a hoarding/backyard breeding ring from a Mexico border town in Texas, she made the long and terrifying trip across the USA to come to me and my family where we currently live in Canada, she was adopted legally through a rescue in case you were concerned, you can learn more about the rescue here.

When Pebbles first came to us back in 2019, she was underweight, dirty and covered in bruises. We first thought she had just been horrible abused, and while that was partially true, she also had a severe medical issue. She had a bad skin condition, basically she’s allergic to most things. It causes extreme itchiness, she will scratch herself until she’s torn flesh off herself if she’s not watched. A few years ago I woke to find my bed covered in blood as she had torn her entire side open, I have those pictures as well as pictures of her bruising which I will put at the end of this post under a trigger warning. Eventually we managed to get enough money to take her to a vet and find out about her allergies and skin condition, she was put on medication for it and it actually helped quite a bit, she was doing very well. Problem is now our vet had closed, the pandemic has left a lot of small businesses unable to continue on as normal. We now have a new vet, I’ve paid the deductible for her, but to actually get her blood work done, skin scraping and then hopefully more medicine, it’s going to cost money I just simply do not have. Since the beginning of the pandemic myself, my family and closest friends have all suffered pretty hard and slipped down from just teetering above the poverty line to now living completely below the poverty line. I can go to food banks and go without my own medicine if need be, but I cannot have my dog suffering because I was unable to go through the pandemic unscathed. Pebbles has been unmedicated since January, it’s literally taking that long to find a new vet that is even somewhat near where I live. She’s in pain and uncomfortable and as much as I loathe having to do this, I am asking for help. I considered starting a godundme but as I was told they take 10% of the funds donated, I thought going through PayPal would make more sense.

As many of my mutuals and followers know, I do write, quite a bit, I’ve even debated starting a Patreon for a while there. Anyway, I would be more than willing to fulfill any fanfic prompts for anyone who donates, seriously, anything, I’d do anything to just be able to show my appreciation for you.

I’m looking to raise around 500 dollars CAD, which is a shit ton of money, I know! Trust me, that would feed my family for 3 months. But unfortunately veterinary costs are insane, it’s 250 alone for a simple blood test! Another 150 for the skin scraping test and the medication costs around 170 dollars. Ugh, it hurts my heart. But it’s what must be done to take care of Pebbles.

So please, if you can donate, that would be amazing. If you can reblog this post, that would also be amazing. Getting the word out would mean so much to me, the more people who see this the more likely we are to be able to reach our lofty goal.

I need help. My dog Lily is having health problems and her body is attacking her. The vet is saying she needs a blood transfusion.
